Couldn't leave Hawaii without trying one of the smaller restaurants. A lot of locals told me the shrimp here was pretty good so stopped by. Like many hole in the walls, the food was pretty good and the price was very reasonable. I had fun laughing with friends or at least laughing at one of them (one wasn't use to going to places like this). This is good for a snack...will recommend ordering lots if you're looking to get stuffed. I was pretty hungry after a couple of hours. lol Lunch 5/7/2014

Whenever I take my Korean great-grandma out, I can always assume that she'll choose a Korean place to eat at. She wanted to try this place out because she always passes by. I didn't know where to park, so I just parked across the street. I found out later that there's parking around the building somewhere, but since my grams is in a wheelchair, it seems like a hassle. When we got in, they let us choose where we wanted to sit. The woman working was very friendly and didn't give us a hard time about my gram's service dog like some places do. My gram ordered the seaweed soup. I was a bit nervous because she's very picky about how salty things are, but she really enjoyed it and finished almost the whole thing along with some rice. I got the bibimbap, which was pretty tasty and spicy just the way I like it. It was a nice sized portion, so I had some leftovers to bring home. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but I definitely will if my gram wants to :)

First time here. Awesome place to eat Korean and local food with Kahuku style garlic shrimp. The prices are reasonable and the servings are plentiful. I ordered the barbecue chicken and garlic shrimp combo and my friend ordered the meat jun and garlic shrimp combo. I devoured my plate as I was famished since we just got back from teaching two different classes. The shrimp was moist and garlicky and the chicken was tasty and cooked to grilled perfection, not dry or burnt on the edges. My friend also enjoyed her garlic shrimp and meat jun and agreed that their food was better than Yummy's and another Korean restaurant in the Kalihi area. Their decor consisted of walls with names and signatures written over the years buy customers along with some dollar bills taped/staple/nailed to the walls amongst the sharpie laden walls and booths. Four stars because Service was okay, not as attentive as I'm used to but the food more than made up for it. This is now my go to place to satisfy my hankering for garlic shrimp when I don't want to drive to kahuku. Wish I came here sooner since I always passed by it all the time on my way to don quijote, sorabol, yogostory, and asahi grill.

My husband was in the mood for Korean. We look on yelp for Korean restaurants in the Keeamoku area, but couldn't find one to our liking. We kept driving around that area for about 10 minutes. Finally, we just decided to park by Likelike Drive Inn and walk around the vicinity to find somewhere to eat. We stumbled across a hole in the wall Korean restaurant that we once ate at years ago. Here's what we thought. Ambiance- a hole in the wall kinda place, graffiti on the walls and booths Service- Korean waitress was a little spunky but yet friendly. Food-ban chan: was ok and a little bland -steamed mundoo: it was ok. It tasted like the frozen type -BBQ chicken with garlic butter shrimp. The chicken was ok, but the shrimp was soooooo delish!!! It was one of the best I've ever tasted. It was perfectly seasoned.Next time, I will get the shrimp only. -Spicy pork with coconut shrimp. The spicy pork was ok and not spicy at all. The coconut shrimp was cooked just right...golden brown and crunchy. The coconut flakes were not overpowering. The shrimp Also came with a dip that tasted good. My suggestion of this place... Order any of the shrimp dishes. Hold off on the Korean dishes. The restaurant specializes in shrimp dishes. It is in their name... Andy's Kahuku Shrimp. If you are in Kahuku, check out their food truck.

Unlike most people, I'm not a big fan on driving down to the shrimp trucks in Kahuku. Heres why: 1) the food is not incredibly worth the drive and 2) I'm lazy BUT when I was introduced to Andy's in town, I was more than willing to take the drive. Andy's is located right across Yogur Story and Sorabol, in the Keaamoku area. Parking can be difficult, however, I was told that you can park in the shopping center around the corner where L&L and miscellaneous shops are instead of fighting for street parking. Walking in to the restaurant I can understand why most people would turn away or be discouraged that there would be good food because the place is kind of...well...it has white walls caked with scribbled sharpie. Basically, it's the food truck, but a restaurant. (Confusing, I know) if you just ignore that initial feeling to turn around and ignore that the wait staff is not the most pleasant (mainly because of the language barrier) than you are in for a treat. The one thing (and only thing) I order is the spicy garlic shrimp. It comes with a small selection of ban chans (Korean side dishes) and two heaping scoops of rice. What I love most about the shrimp is that it's deep fried so you can eat the shell!! I know that may be crazy, but it's crazy good. The spicy, garlicky taste of it all is so wonderful and blissful. Seriously, I'm drooling just thinking about it. The shrimp is worth it in the end. Always.

***NEWS: HOT OFF THE PRESS*** Guys/Gals: you guys are missing out if you don't come to this place and try their Spicy Garlic Shrimp rice dish (#1). This whole was a bit challenging to find as it lies across the street from from Walmart and adjacent to Ross but faces the other side of the building, same complex as Bambu and LIke like restaurant. Call if you cannot find it. We ordered the Spicy Garlic Shrimp and Combo plate with mahi mahi, coconut shrimp with rice. Mahi Mahi/Coconut shrimp: Only okay. GARLIC SHRIMP: To die for. Not too spicy, I started feeling a slight kick mid way through the dish. Served saucy and just plain DELICIOUS. Small portion 9 shrimps/ Large portion 12 shrimps. The fiance and I shared the dish...but every so often...i come across something I am hesitant to share, this fellow yelpers...qualified! Small place, cool writing on the walls, the usual side dishes are offered and no extra costs when extra is requested. We WILL BE BACK for you shrimp dish. :)

(Review for only garlic shrimp) Don't think of North Shore shrimp trucks, then you will be fine. In comparison, it is battered and fried so can't really compare I guess. It does have a lot of garlic flavor though. Ambience: hole in the wall. Almost as if it was an indoor version of Giovanni's with the writings of the truck on the the walls of this place. Around 13 bucks a plate, I don't think it is worth it. Bottom line: Just drive to North shore for garlic shrimp. If can't, then eat it as if your memory of north shore shrimp trucks has been erased.

*Disclaimer: this is only for the garlic shrimp* I was in the mood for garlic shrimps and I originally was looking for that Kau Kau grill food truck but alas, could not (and the phone was busy.) I spotted Andy's while looking for that truck and figured to just eat there since id been driving around for half and hour. It's in the same complex as like like drive Inn on the side of the main entrance of the Pagoda hotel/restaurant. I guess you could park there, but I meter parked. It was lunch time but empty inside. There are about 10 tables/booths. The walls and chairs are filled with signatures, messages--like the shrimp truck in Kahuku. The lady who helped me was kind enough (I mean I was the only person in there.) It was pretty cheap@ a small portion (which had a good amount of food) was $7.95. It came with about 7 small shrimps, a large scoop of rice and 4 banchan. The pros: * Cheap: small plate is $7.95 and they take cc. * Convenient/fast: it's in town, keeaumoku and I waited only about 5 mins. * Lots of rice/meat for price. I ate all the shrimp but couldn't finish the rice. The cons: * Not the garlic shrimp you'd expect from Kahuku side; the garlic was not fresh. It was deep fried. And there was no garlic butter sauce. It was more caked on (too much cornstarch?) not what I was expecting. * The banchan, though you get 4 choices with a small plate, wasn't too great. I got Mac salad (super dry and needed salt) seaweed (which was not the conventional vinegar taste but some type of shoyu-based sauce) chop chae (really stiff noodles, plain and tasted different) and bean sprouts (which were good.) * Atmosphere can either be a pro or con; the writing that's everywhere can make it look cluttered and dirty or nostalgic and creative. I also bought a canned tea (no soda?) and it was dirty and there was a little bug stuck in the lining of the can. In all: 1 star for service and 1 star for price and convenience of place.

I highly recommend Andy's GARLIC SHRIMP, it is the BEST there is!!!!!!!! It is super tasty and addictive! We never visit any of the shrimp trucks, even when we are entertaining visitors because their dishes are not even half as good as Andy's. The many side dishes that comes with the main dishes are also tasty and fresh. Their kim chee should be sold in stores, no other Korean restaurant can match theirs. Everyone we bring here falls in love with the food and fun ambiance. I am not a social media person but had to post a review and recommendation to come and enjoy the fabulous garlic shrimp here. Bon Appetit!

I am celebrating 5 years of being a Marathon Maniac (insane running club) and told myself to indulge in some great eating. After shopping at Walmart and a quick stop at Starbucks for a venti green tea Frappuccino, I looked up places to go eat nearby on my trusty Yelp iPhone app. I noticed Andy's Kahuku Shrimp, so in my mind, I assumed it was a satellite store for one of the Kahuku Shrimp places in Kahuku / Haleiwa area. Knowing myself, I didn't read the reviews and just went blindly, although that can be a good thing and be pleasantly surprised about the experience. Needless to say, I was here after circling the entire complex, only to find out that it wasn't were I was expecting it to be. Andy's Kahuku Shrimp isn't located on Keeaumoku Street, which is pretty much the physical address of the plaza. The actual location of Andy's is on Rycroft Street, which is facing away from Walmart and essentially the backside of the building. It took me a while to find this one, but I'm glad that I found it. First of all, Andy's Kahuku Shrimp takes credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), which is great for plastic peeps like me. They have the Yelp sticker on the wall, which means it has to be good, right? Well, not exactly. The front of the restaurant is adorned with food photos, which meant I was in the right place. I was here around 3pm on a brisk Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was practically empty, with only 3 people occupying 2 tables. There were about 10 tables in the restaurant, which made it feel like a Zippy's and Korean restaurant combination - more Korean than anything else. What drew me to this place was the aforementioned Kahuku Shrimp in the name. Seriously thought it was a satellite store for the Kahuku shrimp businesses like Fumi's or Giovanni's, but now, I know better, especially when I saw the Korean restaurant in the complete business name. Lesson learned, although it's great that there is plenty of shrimp plates here to find you with. What grabbed me with this place upon entering was all the scribbling on the walls of customers who have visited Andy's in the past. I remember this when I went to Giovanni's Shrimp Truck in Haleiwa, and their shrimp truck was like that. Since the place was empty when I got here, it was an interesting experience. Once the lady behind the counter saw me enter, she asked if I was ordering take out. I replied "take out." So, she just bluntly gave me a menu and proceeded to sit down in a nearby table and read her newspaper, while I decided on what to order. I thought that was just a little random, but I guess you had to do to pass the time during the downtimes. I had a question, but she answered it by say, "you can't do shrimp mixing". After 5 minutes, I decided on the coconut shrimp and fish jun. Looking at the menu, the mix plates were not exactly cheap, but I was celebrating a special milestone, so I was like, why the hell not. I hadn't had shrimp in a long while anyway. Too much Pho lately. With that said, I placed my order and waited on the side standing and playing around with my iPhone. Then I started to sit down at one of the chairs and noticed something oddly disturbing. I saw couple of black flies / gnats fly around the Korean vegetables and both of them landed on them. I didn't want to say anything, but that just made me a little ill. Maybe I'm glad that she scooped my vegetables before that happened. The lady was reading her newspaper when that was going down. After 10 minutes, I got my order and the lady said thank you and I was on my way home. The experience here was normal yet disgusting at the same time. If I hadn't seen the gnat dance, it would have been a average customer experience for me. There was plenty of shrimp combinations to be had, as well as many seafood choices here too. There is also the other Korean fast food classics here, so there's something for everyone here. While the prices here can be a bit expensive, it does serve a good purpose here to get out of your comfort zone and dine here for good seafood. The coconut shrimp was delicious, especially when it is deep fried and the fish jun was alright. The shrimp and fish jun, like all Korean fare, is served with white rice and 4 Korean vegetables. Unlike Yummy's, the portions of Korean vegetables seem meager, but you get what you pay for. Parking here is in front, where Likelike Drive Inn is. Just need to walk to the back of the building and there it is. You can also park at Walmart and walk over too. Apart from the black gnat dance that I had witnessed, this place is a pretty good place and wouldn't mind coming back again. However, with what I saw, I probably wouldn't come here again - unless I forget what had happened. The experience here was average, but maybe I should dine here and see what else can be experienced. Should be 2.5 stars, rounded to 3. Support local! C-

Small shop off the beaten path near Ala Moana mall. Wife loves the spicy garlic shrimp. A great blend of garlic with kimchi flavoring served plate lunch style. I typically stay more traditional Korean. Seating for 32. Street parking adjacent with WalMart parking garage across the street. Fast service. Reasonably priced. This is always a stop for us when in Honolulu.

Came here on Labor Day. Didn't want to drive in the traffic headed to north shore so decided to try this place out. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and the bf got garlic shrimp. The shrimp plates were pretty good. I'd come back for it. The service on the other hand was terrible. We walked in and being it was our first time we weren't sure if we seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We went ahead and sat down. We were ready to order but no one came to take our order so I walked up to the register to order. After I ordered she asked me "take out?" I said no and pointed to the table we were sitting at. She said okay have a seat. Then another person came to take our order. The cleanliness was a little questionable. There were a lot of writings on the walls and chairs. Not sure if it made the place look ghetto or cool. I wonder what the BOH would rate this place. Id rather not know. Overall I liked the shrimp plates. If you don't want to drive to the north shore this place will fill the void and satisfy you. It's worth a try.

I personally thought the garlic shrimp was awesome (Flavor is 5 stars), price is $12 bucks (4 stars) which seems to be market price. Good portion size as well, rounded up for 5 stars

Hands down the best shrimp I have ever eaten. Cooked perfectly, perfect amount of sauce. The place looks sketchy but is well worth it.

So i heard many mix reviews, its good, it's bad, it's average, it's korean....wait shrimp like north shore you say?? SOLD! Now we ALL know the adventure days of driving out (if you live in town) to North Shore or Kahuku side for the best garlic shrimp. THANK YOU ANDYS for saving me from taking more then usual trips to north shore. Located in the same building as like-like, andys is really hidden on the side. When you walk in, you feel like all those writings on the bus is actually on the walls. Because it's korean run, you know you get those bomb extra side dishes of kimchee and potatos and the list goes onnnnn. They do have combos such as katsu & shrimp, spicy pork & shrimp and the best part is you can choose the type of shrimp you'd like! I LOVE the spicy garlic shrimp. They cut down the middle, but leave the shell on. hold on! before you judge, it's cooked so well that you could eat the shell and wouldn't even know! so positives? -It's AC -extra side dishes -you can eat the WHOLE shrimp -and i don't have to spend oodles of money on gas and drive far. yeahh i'll be back!

Disappointed! I called in an order & lady told me that she didn't take any calls. She shuffled through her papers and found the order I called in. As for the food, hubs and I got the spicy garlic shrimp. Not worth the $27 I paid for both. Better to drive to the North Shore for some tastier shrimp.

I come by here if I don't want to take that long drive to Kahuku, but still great eats. Their spicy shrimp is delicious! Absolutely a must try! It doesn't have a cajun like spice, more like a kimchee taste. If you're a fan of kimchee and shrimp combo, come by. I got meat jun with it, but it didn't have much taste. So I suggest you straight up get the shrimp, which is what they're known for. The parking is alright, it's located in the same parking lot as Like Like Drive Inn, unless you find find street parking near the pagoda or something. The wait time was about 20 minutes or so, kinda slow; but the ban chan was good. The woman who served us was friendly and had us sign their wall while we waited. (The wall is literally covered, just like a food truck! Just request a pen)

Great food, amazing varaity of shrimp, and nice staff. I had kimchi fried rice with shrimp, one if the best I ever had. If you want to try different kinds of shrimp than what most people are used to, this is the place.

This review is strictly for service, not the food. I stopped in to place a lunch order to go. It was rather slow, with one or two other customers dining in and one picking up an order to go. While waiting I perused the menu and made my selection. The young lady in front of me paid for her order and left. So there I was, at the counter, with menu closed, mouth half-way open to speak, and there she was, the one who was supposed to take my order, PLAYING ON HER MOBILE DEVICE. It's not cool to play on your mobile device while a customer is standing 6 inches in front of you ready to place an order. When she finally finished doing whatever it was she was doing and made eye contact with me, I just smiled and said, "never mind, I've decided to go elsewhere."

Service kind of sucks now. Korean restaurants provide a service by providing side dishes. We asked for a little more bahn chan and they said they charge $1 per side dish. I was like... Service really downgraded here. Also, I ate their pork cutlet and the meat wasn't like pork chops. Thin and fatty with tons of batter. Never coming back here again!

Was on my honeymoon in Oahu and my wife and I decided to try a shrimp place in town rather than drive an hour plus to north shore .. I have to say stay in town and just eat here, that this place rocks! I'm talking about the SHRIMP! Despite all the tagging on the walls and service may be a bit slow on the busy side, The Garlic Shrimp is worth trying ! Spicy or non spicy its amazing any way.

One of the best places I tried for garlic shrimp. I ordered the half garlic shrimp half spicy shrimp, both were very delicious. Spicy shrimp wasn't really that spicy, it was just perfect for me. Will definitely come back again and recommend to other people..

Why drive all the way to the North Shore when there's delicious garlic shrimp in town? We came here the other night because we were randomly craving garlic shrimp. This is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with writings all over their walls. It makes the restaurant feel very homey. The owner is extremely friendly. Everytime we ran out of vegetables, she quickly came back for refills. She has an extremely good memory. We came here a few times before she just happened to remember us so she gave us a complimentary plate of shrimp jun! I always order their garlic shrimp and meat jun :) I should be trying the rest of their menu items, but I can't seem to get away from their garlic shrimp!

While it may not be the most upscale interior, the food is definitely good. The owner is always so considerate towards my family and I and gives extra items to my children. The food although not the norm, has its own flavor unique to its owner. We love it here.

Not a shrimp eater, but I do love Korean food! I ordered the yuk gae jang. It was a big portion compared to other korean restaurants. It was tasty and not too spicy. I love spicy, but not when I have to go back to work for 3 more hours. The korean lady was really helpful and funny. Our party was rather large for the small place. There was 7 of us. The food came quick. I'd be back and I bring a permanent marker too so I could sign the wall.

We wanted some Kahuku Shrimp and didn't want to drive all the way to the North Shore so thanks to Yelp, we found this place. We split a plate of Garlic Shrimp for lunch (9 pieces) and that (along with the Korean side dishes) was just right for my wife and I. The shrimp isn't as good as Giovanni's, but being able to get here with just a short drive is a definite plus. The place was not as run-down as we thought it would be based on the Yelp reviews.

Good place in Honolulu for garlic shrimp. Don't have to drive far to her good shrimp. Price is reasonable for the combo plates. Had the mahi-mahi and garlic shrimp. Great choice, and really hit the spot. Friendly staff too!

Eww- Seriously? Over-cooked, over-buttered, breaded shelled garlic shrimp? Sides were good, mandoo was so soaked in grease we couldn't even eat one. If you want nice shrimp, a drive to North Shore is well worth it.

If you can't make it out to Kahuku & are craving for that garlic shrimp, Andy's will give you a quick fix. Get it to go, because the dine in area isn't pleasant.

My wife and I usually only have the shrimp, the spicy garlic shrimp is the best of their dishes (see below). The sides are good, the kim chee is excellent. We diverted from our usual and ordered soft seafood stew and it's not good but not horrible. I ordered the chop chae and it came with two scoops of rice (that's weird, never had it that way before!). The noodles was chopped up and broken (pardon the pun) and it was so so. We are sticking with the shrimp...

We do our best to eat at home but with our hectic schedule, many times a home cooked meal is just not in the cards. Shoyu Chicken: Aw man I forgot to start cooking six hours ahead of time. Grilled Chicken: Sounds easy enough, but you have to remember to defrost your chicken overnight. Damn. Tofu teri burgers: Oh yes, but wait...is ground turkey suppose to be grey? (womp, womp, womp) You get my drift. You have kids, you slave away, and somehow life takes over and wrecks your perfectly planned life. Okay so maybe it's not perfectly planned, but it's about as organized as it's going to get at this point in time. Screw you Martha Stewart for setting the bar so high that it forces me to purchase your products! While looking for our next meal my BF decided to pick up a few plates of Andy's Kahuku Shrimp. For $10.95 you get enough rice to feed two, a load of shrimp and four types of Korean vegetables. It's a very filling meal so the value is definitely there. But alas if you are looking for North Shore shrimp truck heaven then Andy's is going to disappoint you. The shrimp at Andy's are deep fried so they do indeed come out a bit mushy. BUT if you're buried in work and would like a take-out option then this is a decent pick! Yelp 365 Challenge: #59/365 (The Take-Out Option)

Really do enjoy the food here, but the service is horrible!! I just get so frustrated watching the server do her job! Seriously, the restaurant is so small...I don't get what takes her so long to bring us a glass of water and side dishes. The last time I ate here, our meal took about an hour. I swear a good forty minutes was just a waiting game. The two stars are just for the food.

You don't have to drive to North Shore to get some good Kahuku shrimp. It's also cheaper to eat it here and you get other dishes to choose from. This place must be Korean owned with all the banchan and short rib items on the menu. Our buddy who plays football in Hawaii took us here. The menu was easy to choose from with a lot of good options. I ordered the pork cutlet and spicy garlic shrimp. It also comes with two scoops of rice. macaroni salald, potatoes, kim chi, clear noodles, and lettuce. The pork cutlet was okay. It was really greasy. The spicy garlic shrimp was awesome! It tasted very caramelized and very easy to eat. I'm not even a fan of shrimp. My favorite side was the macaroni salad. If you want some lowkey spot to eat at then this is it. Recommendation: Spicy garlic shrimp

Never wrote a review before, but wanted to warn everyone about this place. *This review is based solely on service. My boyfriend and I walked in for lunch to a half-filled restaurant. As soon as we were about to sit down, one of the Korean waitresses told us we had to wait 30 minutes because there was "no time." Why?! There were at least four open tables! We walked out of there for the first and last time.

Okay, where do I begin. Andy's Kahuku Shrimp situated in Keeamoku/Koreamoku area is the place to go if your are craving some north shore shrimp goodness. It's definitely not your "north shore/kahuku" shrimp-truck experience but man oh man, it's magical. I'm telling you, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a must. My wife and I come to this joint every so often to dine; and everytime we do, we literally eat all the food on our plates, except of course the shrimp tails. Their BBQ chicken, fish cutlet, and spicy garlic shrimp always puts a smile on our bellies. Don't let the interior scare you. it may seem as though sanitary is an issue, but this place is very clean, or so i hope. their walls are covered in graffiti and tags from visitors and locals who come and dine there, but what can i say, it's catchy. Give this place a try. I assure you, you wont be let down!

The best thing about authentic Kahuku garlic shrimp is obviously the flavor. The worst thing about it, is obviously the time it takes to drive out to Kahuku in the first place. Of course it all depends on where you live on the island. For us, the drive is pretty far. What's the best thing about Andy's Kahuku Shrimp? It happens to be located relatively close to us... behind Ala Moana. Yes, the name is quite misleading but trust me when I say that the shrimp served here is authentic in every way, save for the drive to Kahuku. For those of you who don't know, Andy's is situated right across the street from Yogurstory. It looks a little run down from the outside but it contains that real shrimp truck feel on the inside thanks to the hundreds of customers that have left their mark on the walls of Andy's with permanent ink. Luckily the shrimp isn't the only item on the menu worth ordering. They serve all kinds of dishes ranging from meat jun and chicken katsu to kalbi and broiled fish. The prices are more than reasonable and every entree comes with a selection of Korean style side dishes such as kim chee, macaroni salad, corn, long rice and bean sprouts. Needless to say, we haven't even thought about driving all the way to Kahuku for shrimp when we could hit up Andy's after shopping at the mall or after class got out. I know some hard core Kahuku shrimp lovers might cry foul at Andy's, but for us, it feels right and it tastes good.

I've been here 2 times and each time, the lady (I assume she is the owner?) is SO nice and the food pretty good! She even remembers me the second time I went (last night) even though my previous visit was many months before. So far, I've tried a lot of different food: Banchan: I like their kim chee. Meat Jun: From what I remember, the egg was slightly crispy and the meat was very tender. I like! Fish Jun: I usually don't like fish jun from most places because they tend to be 2/3 egg and 1/3 fish which actually tastes more like 100% egg. This one had a thick piece of fish! Soondubu/Tofu Soup: Very spicy but very flavorful and hearty. You can opt for a mild version if you want. You can also opt for different toppings if you don't like meat/veggies/etc. Seafood Pancake: Many pieces of seafood which includes squid and some shrimp. The pancake was not saturated with oil like some other places are. (Spicy) Garlic Shrimp: Ordered both the regular and spicy garlic shrimp. Since I heard their shrimp was famous, I was expecting it to be really good... While it was very well seasoned, flavorful, and meaty, the meat was too mushy for my tastes. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be like this or if we got a bad batch. For those of you who like Giovanni's or Fumi's in the North Shore, you'll be disappointed with Andy's... Again, the owner was really nice and even recommended some dishes. She even switched us to a table with cushion seats because she saw we had some elderly in our party. All in all, I really liked it and will come back for sure! Parking is in the same lot as Like Like Drive Inn. As a side note, the store looks kind of gloomy and plain, especially with all the writing in the back wall. This place needs some bright and bold colors!

We always wanted to eat here but the parking is just so tight or too far of a walk, anyways we were lucky to find street parking, walked in for lunch and there was just one lady eating, two workers talking at the register, even though they noticed us, they continue to talk in their language which I think needs to stop and converse in english because i think it's kind of rude, who knows there talking about us, oh well. Seated and was given two menu, OH MYLANTA - the walls, i mean everywhere there's writings of customers who had eaten there, it looks to ugly and ghetto, it felt as if we were eating in an alley, I mean it's so disgusting, placed our order and it took about 15 minutes, food was colorful but blanche, tasted like it marinated all week or longer, so I didn't bother to eat all of my spicy chicken, especially chicken, you don't mess with the chix, lol - resonable price. Another customer walks in and again the two continue to talk, not even to turn their back to acknowledge, so the lady kept looking around, finally one of them stood up and gave her a menu. Overall, my first and last time to eat here, management needs to upgrade the place, splash some new paint and discourage customers to write on the wall, bring their own pad or notebook or maybe go back to school, aloha.

Good food, good service, free parking at 10:45am! Location is across the street from Sorabol and the new Asahi Grill. Ordered garlic shrimp/kalbi combo and spicy pork/spicy shrimp combo. Both good with the &25 gift certificate ...just had to pay $2 something more.

Same owner and Andys Kahuku Shrimp truck, so you don't have to drive to N Shore. They have 6 different variations of their shrimp, definitely recommend! Had the mon doo soup, was great as well.

I came here with the hopes of finding a place comparable to the Shrimp Vans in Kahuku. I think this restaurant is a good concept but not quite the level of the shrimp vans. I mean, I want to REEK the smell of garlic after I leave. Giovanni's Van made me sweat garlic for days. This place was ok to me but not something to rave about. When you enter the shop its walls are covered with scribbles from customers that have eaten here. Kind of a cool concept like the van. Pics everywhere to remind you of Kahuku shrimp. The food was just ok. Kind of disappointing after seeing Kahuku Shrimp in the title. The Garlic Shimp had a garlic paste that seemed premade. I DID NOT reek of garlic after eating it. It was good but not for that price. I did not like th Shoyu Garlic Shrimp. You can barely taste the sauce and my friends didn't like it either. I also had the steak with the Shrimp. It was not bad. It was cooked correctly. It wasn't tender but it wasnt shoe leather either. I didnt like the sesame sauce on the steak. It had mushrooms and onions which I did like. The side were ok. The mac salad was good and the kim chee was ok. The Chop Chae was a little dry. My friends seem to like it a lot and I noticed other reviews did too. Service was good. It was fast and the lady was polite. They also filled our waters regularly. Overall it was an ok experience. I don't think this place is anything special and I think its a little pricey for ok food. I wouldnt say its bad enough not to try it but its not a place I highly recommend either.

Stopped in on Wednesday to grab lunch for me and my pal. I must be real podagee because the place is known for it's shrimp and I ordered Korean food instead lol. I called in my order in advance so i could just stop by and pick up the food without having to wait too long. I got there and the place was busy. Still ended up waiting an additional 10 minutes but the owner was very nice and I sat and chatted with her friend till the food was ready. The place is a bit eccentric looking as there is graffiti all over the walls, kind of cool and ghetto all wrapped into one. The whole time I was sitting there waiting, the lady i was sitting with talked about how good the shrimp was. Even after I told her I ordered Korean food not the shrimp, she still continued going on about the shrimp! In my head I was thinking lady i didnt order the damn shrimp so shut the eff up! lol tell me something about the meat jun and maybe I'll be more in tuned to your convo. I didnt order the shrimp because I ate shrimp on Christmas,Shrimp salad the day after,Garlic Shrimp the day after that and shrimp scampi the day prior. So i was shrimped out. So I finally told her Im over the shrimp and if i have to see it i will lose it. That seemed to work because she changed up the convo to bags and nails lol. It seemed like forever but the food was finally ready :) . I made small talk with the owner and then she added that next time i should really try the shrimp. lmao really lady? I just smiled at her, grabbed the food and left. The food looked good, basic korean take out nothing special. I'm on an anti white rice binge again and they didnt have a brown rice option which kinda broke my heart :( but i got over it. I had ordered the Bbq Chicken & Kalbi combo and grouchy had the Meat Jun and Mandoo combo. I met up with my pal for lunch but ended up not eating till after I got home. I wanted him to take half of the food from my plate because i knew i wasnt gonna eat it all so he ended up taking a piece of the bbq chicken and giving me some of his meat jun (dunno why?) . I'm tryna get rid of my food not trade off lol. Anyways I tried the Kalbi and it was alright nothing extraordinary, the same thing with the bbq chicken and meat jun. All were just ok not something i would go out of my way to promote. Service was on the slow side but the people were friendly. FYI if your dealing with feeding a hungry grouchy person this is not the place to go lol. Parking is not the greatest here either, very limited so you might have to do the illegal park and pray your car is still there when you return. Overall the food was good but wasn't worth the total time spent waiting for it nor the bitching my poor ears had to endure because of it. Try the shrimp I heard it's really good lol :p

Cooked to perfection? Nah. Shrimp was so overcooked that it was mushy. Kahuku shrimp? Smaller than what I'm used to when Kahuku is attached to the name. Shrimp was pale and not that succulent. boo. Korean-run restaurant? You know what that means, banchan! yes!! So-so service? You betcha. Maybe the drive to the North Shore would be more worth it. Otherwise, there's always Shrimp & BBQ a block down.

I couldn't decide to give it 3 stars or 4 but I'm sticking with 4 since I will definitely eat there again. We ordered the Pork Adobo, Bi bim bap, and side order of Garlic Shrimp. We waited a little while for the food to come out. My bf ordered the adobo, it was very tender and quite tasty to me. BF was hoping for more of a Filipino tasting adobo (not sure what that means) but also liked it. The bi bim bap was different, but fresh ingredients, seemed like it was missing something. I kept adding kim chee to make it more spicy. Probably won't order that dish again. The garlic shrimp was REALLY good. If you don't know what to order, get that! The reason for the 3 stars was just because it was a bit "ugly" in there & the service that day. I get the whole writing on the walls idea but I wasn't feelin it along with the dingy interiors and quietness (no music and only one other party when I arrived so it was awkward). Our first server was very sweet and helped us choose entrees. After she left, there was another person there taking orders and serving. That person never came back to our table. After waiting a few minutes & seeing that she was just sitting there, I just got up and asked for boxes and our check. I used a credit card & she was quick to talk about how they normally don't take credit cards for such a small amount (I had a coupon so my total was only $5). Her mood changed after I added a $4 tip though. She was rude at all so it was all good. Overall, don't expect too much with customer service & you won't be disappointed. Even without a coupon, I would go back. For the price, you do get a good amount of food. There was also a very uplifting motivational quote on one of the walls.

I am so excited that we don't have to drive all the way to the North Shore to eat the spicy garlic shrimp anymore! I had no idea my favorite shrimp was in town until I saw this restaurant on a "coupon" site. For years now... while everyone used to make the trip the "G" shrimp wagon in Kahuku, I ALWAYS went to the Korean truck next door. Andy's is located in the same bldg as Like Like Drive Inn - they're on the mauka side of the building. They have many items on their menu but of course we stuck with the shrimp. We ordered the small order of spicy garlic shrimp, garlic shrimp, and fried shrimp for about $7.50 ea. Each dish probably had about 5-6 pieces of shrimp and came with two scoops of rice. We were also served Korean vegetables. Although I'm not a fan of dining in a small space with graffiti everywhere... I'll definitely go back for their shrimp.

The interior is drab but the food was FAB! A great place if you're saving money on gas instead of driving out to the North Shore. I make trips once every month or so to feed my Kahuku shrimp cravings but this place is going to be my "i dont feel like driving out there" spot now. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and kim chee fried rice togo. The fried rice was good (very oily) but overall comparable to Taiyo noodles. The shrimp was yummy and wasn't too spicy but very flavorful. You also get a good amount as well. Parking sucks since it's packed from Sorabol and all the little places. I parked at LikeLike driveinn and walked

Reads the reviews and thought this was a good place to check out. I was greatly disappointed. The place was run down, empty, and dirty. The service was unfriendly and slow. The food was cold, non tasty, and small portions. Nothing was positive about my experience and given that there's like 100 other Korean restaurants in the neighborhood with way better value and taste.......I can't recommend this place. Oh yeah, the shrimps were small, salty, and overcooked......Not sure if they were from Kahuku too......

came here at the last minute to use a voucher. the ambiance is not the greatest nor is the service. the graffiti wall was kinda neat. the food was worth the try and voucher... banchan: mac salad, cabbage and cucumber kimchee, cabbage, potato bf ordered the bbq shortribs and garlic shrimp. i got the meatjun and spicy garlic shrimp. meatjun was tender. spicy shrimp not at all spicy, was a bit sweet instead. best of all i loved the fresh abundance of garlic...

Food was good. Shrimp nicely grilled but a bit bland. Spicy pork was good, but not as good as Mama Woo's. Overall, an acceptable meal, but not enough to meke my list of places I frequent again and again.

We discovered this place a few years ago. While I've never had the pleasure of experiencing the shrimp trucks in North Shore, this place is good enough for me until I do! Garlic shrimp -- so meaty, tender and garlicky. It's all I crave as soon as I land in Hawaii. It's become a staple of our "must eat at" list when we're visiting. On top of the large portions of food, they offer complimentary Korean side dishes and they're glad to give you more if you ask.

  • Mayu M.

Really? Andy's Kahuku Shrimp? maybe they should rename it to something like Korean shrimp tempura. anyone who says it is like eating the shrimp on the north shore need to be re-examined. ok, the butterfly shrimps are cute.... but tastes nothing like the kahuku shrimp. the meat jun was satisfactory. the short ribs needs help, or shall i say, needs meat. the complimentary sides.... kimchee daikon = good kimchee = good bean sprouts= good (how can you mess that up?) seaweed = alright mac salad = throw it away (how does one screw this up?) what was interesting was the shrimp jun. first time i have ever heard of it. interesting concept but all it is is shrimp fried in egg batter. while eating, i did not notice any salty-ness to the food, but when i got up the next morning, my fingers were swollen. (this normally happens to me if there is alot of sodium in the foods i eat) needless to say, i dont think i will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. there are many delicious korean restaurants in Hawaii. this is just not one of them. and as for the so called Kahuku shrimp..... they should leave it up to the shrimp trucks on the north shore. Romy's ... here i come!!!! :)

This review is based on one visit (September 2010). What I tried: 3 types of shrimp: garlic butter, the "regular", and "spicy"; and soondooboo Tasting Notes: I thought the shrimp was big in size, but then again, I've never had kahuku shrimp, and it seems like they should have been bigger than what I got on my plate. The shrimp is fried, but it's really the spices in the fry batter that make the shrimp good. Warning: the "spicy" is REALLY spicy, even for someone like me. If you can handle any spiciness I recommend the regular or spicy over the garlic butter shrimp. The soondooboo is OK, but nothing to rave about. Same with the banchan. Service: Excellent-- but I'm Korean and for some reason the owner and my mother and I really clicked, so she was very attentive to us. If you speak Korean, chat her up-- she had a really interesting life story and is very friendly. Ambience: very casual. The scribblings on the wall and the greasy diner type seats makes it feel like it's a hole in the wall place for students, but when I was there there was a wide range of people-- from young people, to middle-aged men, to older couples who came out for shrimp. Even though the restaurant is close to many Korean restaurants, the clientele when I was there was not all Korean. Recommendation: I'm glad we tried this place, since I did enjoy the spicy shrimp and loved talking to the owner. The soondooboo was also enjoyable. If I'm ever back in Hawaii I'm going to find this place again only because it has a certain character to it that I never really experienced anywhere else. Also, I think this place would be typecast as a "korean" restaurant-- but it's certainly not your typical Korean restaurant or Korean food menu.

I was curious about this place, but didn't go until I checked yelp and I'm glad I did! I went in for a shrimp plate and decided on the regular sized plate. They had a special at the time and it was about $10 for nine pieces of garlic butter shrimp, with 2 scoops of rice, and several choices of Korean side dishes. I was surprised that they offered such huge portions.. I had a whole bed of rice and side dishes in 1 take-out plate and the garlic shrimp in another take-out container. It was like ordering a Korean bbq plate lunch.. the portions are generous! And I love their shrimp! It was not greasy and had just the right combinations of flavor.. and just like fine wine, the taste was balanced. Lots of garlicky flavor with dashes of salt and butter... yumm! I'm not sure if they still have the special deal going on.. but the regular price is about $12-13. I asked about their mini plate and it has 5 pieces of shrimp for about $8. My overall rating is 4.5 stars. I'd give 5 stars if they had my favorite seaweed side dish, on that day, they only had a few choices... ohh. and I wished they had taegu like at Gina's... mmm...

Great location. At first we didn't know where to park but found out you can park in the Like Like parking lot. The shrimp is so tasty and you don't have to drive far (townie). The Katsu was great too. G

Ordered through Aloha 2Go. Kinda skimpy for a Korean food place. I ordered the King Kalbi garlic shrimp (@$15.95) plus side dishes. They should have named it Little Prince Kalbi plate. Shrimp had no garlic taste to it either. I ordered 2X kim chee and it looked like 1 little serving. Highly disappointed. Really overpaid for this one!

If you go to Andy's Kahuku Shrimp off of Keeaumoku, don't be put off by the lack of parking, lack of Andy or anything "Kahuku", the ambiance, sourpuss Korean waitresses and graffiti-on-whiteboard backwall decor because it is all worth it when you taste the ono steak served on a sizzling plate (ask for garlic on the top and they will add it and then some!) for $12.95 and/or garlic shrimp and shrimp stir fry. Waaaay better than expected and a steal of a deal. A couple of downers: my medium well steak was somewhere between rare and medium rare and the length of time and effort it took to get our bill settled. As soon as our food came, all service ceased. We had to ask for water and drink refills, the check, then ask again, then wait another 10 minutes for change. No explanation, no excuses adds up to a smaller tip. I don't think they cared.

I was craving garlic Kahuku shrimp so was stoked to hear that this place existed right in town without having to trek to the North Shore. If I hadn't had this expectation, I would have probably enjoyed my plate lunch more however that wasn't the case so I was pretty disappointed. I should have known that since it being in Koreamoku that it would actually be a Korean restaurant. So if you're looking for banchan, KBBQ, and meat jun, this is the place. But if you're looking for super garlicy smothered shrimp with oily garlic over rice, this is not it.

Bought a groupon for it, was skeptical about the location/decor of the place but girl was really nice, super good food for the price, I had the steak and shrimp, and you get to choose what kind of shrimp to get with it.

Sorry everybody, the shrimp was allright, and their meat jhun and mandoo will never taste or beat "SOON'S kalbi" drive-in in saltlake in back of Safeway.

I came back here after many years and was plesantly surpirsed that there were many more items on the menu including Korean dishes. I love soft tofu soup so I decided to forego the shrimp and opt for the soup. It was Aloha Friday lunchtime for us and we were excited. My co-workers all got shrimp combo plates (all of which are over 10 bucks). When our food came I was tripping out at how small the portions had become. The chicken and kalbi cuts were very thin and skimpy. The side dishes were barely enough for 2 people. There were 5 of us. When my highly anticipated tofu soup came, the hot pot bowl wasn't even half way full. There was only about a cup of soup in there. I ordered kim chee soft tofu soup and there was only 3 pieces of kim chee. My co-workers commented that the shrimp isn't anything special and that the meat was better than the shrimp. I left hungry and wanting something more to eat. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and ate all their food (since there was so little of it). For a place with "shrimp" in it's name, Andy's Kahuku Shrimp fails to live up to it. With such small portions you can go wrong by coming here.

We always order the spicy garlic shrimp because its soooo good! You can adjust the level of the spiciness! mine is 3 scoops and my hubby just regular or 1 scoop. Customer service was awesome! The owner was very friendly! Thankgoodness they get rid of the other lady. She was not very nice. I wanted to give it 5 star but decided 4 star because of the parking and a bit pricey. We never dine-in because hardly street parking available. :-/

I was skeptical at first as I'm big on Kahuku Shrimp. Andy's interior is all white and resembles a bathroom with writing all over. These guys used to own their very own shrimp truck, you know the kind with writing all over, so they carried that over to the restaurant. Unlike Kahuku, these guys have a very extensive menu. The shrimp dish selection is pretty good. The remainder of the menu is a full selection of local style lunch plates, and a good selection of korean plates. We tried- Garlic Shrimp - Light breading, garlicky, good flavor, butterflied shrimp Spicy Shrimp - not very spicy but much more flavor than the garlic shrimp, butterflied, great flavor Salmon - it was good, lightly fried Garlic Fried Rice - interesting, it was rice fried in oil with a little salt and a crap load of finely minced garlic on top. this was a very greasy plate of rice. It's hard to beat Romy's IMHO but these guys came close and did it without having to drive to Kahuku. I'll definitely be back.

The wife and I ordered the big Bone kalbi with garlic shrimp, Kim chee pancakes and side order mandoo. Everything tasted Good! Our only criticism is that the big bone kalbi didn't come with the bone (I like to always eat the meat around the bone or take it home for a doggy snack) and mandoo isn't home made (but it was still good)!

5 stars for the name. 4 stars for the food. Delectable shrimp and I don't have to drive clear across the island to Kahuku for KAHUKU SHRIMP, I'm in. It's near Alamoana Shopping Center and Wal Mart, a landmark for you tourists. They also serve Korean dishes. BONUS.

I went there to try their Korean food. We have the BBQ Chicken & Kalbi, Yook Gae Yang, and a seafood house made nooodles in soup. The portion is that big consider for what they charge. Do not order the Yuk Gae Yang (Spicy beef soup), it is the worse korean spicy beef soup i had. The seafood house made noodles is not bad though. The bbq chicken with kalbi is just so so, other korean restaurants are better. We have the hot deals hawaii voucher so with that, i think it is worth to go if not, i would not go there at all. It's a good fun to try out different places and know what they have. They have parking at Likelike Drive Inn so parking is not a problem.

Good Kahuku garlic shrimp in town? Yes you can! Wife and I were heading to Sam's Club in town today and decided to try Andy's for lunch because we had the $8 off coupon from our 2009 Entertainment Book. Can't pass up a deal like that. Their menu consists of shrimp plates and Korean food. They feature hot and spicy, garlic, coconut, shoyu garlic, BBQ grilled, fried, stir fryed with veggies and battered shrimp. Wow, lots of variations to enjoy shrimp. They even have combo plates of shrimp and Korean food. It's like your typical Korean restaurant that starts off with 6 side dishes. They brought out; mac salad, Jap Chae, shoyu potatoes, pieces of Korean pancakes, wonbok kim chee, and lettuce with spicy dressing. All the side dishes were comparable to any good Korean restaurant. My wife had the BBQ chicken and garlic shrimp combo ($11.95) and I had the meat jun and garlic shrimp combo ($1195). The BBQ chicken was cooked fresh and not reheated and the flavor was nice. My wife's plate had 2 pieces of BBQ chicken and 6 pieces of garlic shrimp on a bed of cabbage along with 2 scoops of rice. My plate had 2 full layers of tender and perfectly cooked meat jun and 6 pieces of garlic shrimp on a bed of cabbage along with 2 scoops of rice. I must say the garlic shrimp was good. Nice butter and garlic balance and it was butterflied for easy eating. My wife asked if they ran the shrimp truck that is parked by the old sugar mill and was told "used to". It's a different owner now. No wonder the garlic shrimp was ono. The service is attentive and friendly. If you order a soft drink you get free refills! You can park in the Like Like Drive Inn lot or find street parking. If you're in town and want a quick fix of garlic shrimp without the north shore drive, Andy's Kahuku Shrimp is the place!

What's the big deal? Had the barbecue chicken and spicy shrimp combo. The six shrimp were butterflied, which is nice, but the red coating wasn't that spicy and kind of bothersome. The barbecue chicken were boneless thigh pieces, and they were done well, but didn't blow me away. I will say that since I got my order to go, I was pleasantly surprised that they put the chicken and shrimp in one foam box with foil and then the rice and sides in another foam box. I asked if they gave me two plate lunches, but it was how they kept the food separate. Nice touch. The kim chee was good, the bok choy was nice and mild, the macaroni salad was soft and mushy, so I couldn't eat it. Took a while, too. One cook. I don't think I'll be back. $13.56 is a lot for a plate lunch.

They've updated their menu and now their shrimp plates are $10. Pretty good value for "Kahuku" shrimp. I'm not exactly sure if they're from Kahuku, but it sure is tasty. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy shrimp.

Came here and got the garlic shrimp and kimchi fried rice. The garlic shrimp was tasty. It had a light garlic flavor, that wasn't overpowering. I liked it, and it came with 4 sides. I got the cucumber kimchi, bean sprout salad, seasoned raddish, and the seaweed. It was okay. The kimchi fried rice with beef was kind of dry, a bit bland, and wasn't that flavorful. I wouldn't get it again. But I wouldn't mind going back to get the garlic shrimp again.

Went there today for lunch cause I've been craving the spicy garlic shrimp!! :D so delish! It was my boyfriend's first time there and he loved it. Its awesome that they serve banchan (side dishes) too! Was my first time back in a long time so I didn't know they expanded their menu with more Korean food. Definitely gotta go back again to try out other stuff, but also still order the SPICY GARLIC SHRIMP cause it's just too darn good. We Koreans know how to make foods good with garlic and spices cause that's what most Korean foods only have! lol

Yummy in the tummy! Best garlic shrimp and no need drive all the way out to Kahuku! Their kim chee fried rice is da bomb too. It's better than Taiyo Ramen, who's kim chee fried rice is pretty good too. Their side dishes are really good too. The staff is super nice too, esp. the lady that does practically everything. Not sure if she's the owner or not, but definitely worth the price. If you have a 2008 Entertainment Book, there's an $8 off coupon.

the best plate lunch i've ever had. once inside it looks whatever but the food is really good! highly recommended if you want some really good take out or lunch. We ate here before our flight back home and we kept thinking "i wish we came here first!" i got the steak and coconut shrimp....daaaammmn! w/ a lil bit of macaroni salad on the side.....daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammn! good good eatin.

As you can imagine from the name, shrimp is the main attraction. I believe that the owners also used to operate a shrimp truck and the ability to leave your mark on the walls is a carryover from their meals on wheels establishment. On the several occasions that I've been here, the service has been fast and very friendly. My recommendation is the delectable garlic shrimp, which is butterflied and just barely battered, with just the right amount of garlic. If you're more into being able to bite into a shrimp in all its heads and tail glory, then the shoyu garlic version might be to your liking. There are many more ways they can prepare the shrimp, plus combos with typical Korean dishes, so I think I'll be back soon.

This review is really about the Kahuku Wagon, but the town location is pretty good to. I had been to Giovani's a couple of times, and if nasty raw garlic is your thing, by all means patronize them. Andy's is the run down looking bus by the highway with tables and umbrellas for a seating area. The shrimp are fresh and perfectly cooked in an onion, garlic, butter paste. (don't order anything but the shrimp, if you don't like garlic don't come) The place is wonderful, it is BYOB, but a large cola seems to work just as well. I have been told that Giovani's does not use fresh Kahuku prawns, (Costco) but I don't know that to be gospel. Whatever the taste here is far superior. My kid gets back from the mainland, and this is at the top of her must eat list.

so flippin' delicious. i don't know what they put in their spicy garlic sauce but it is seriously addicting. whatever it is, i am HOOKED! the shrimp is fresh and cooked perfectly...and the sauce, i have to talk more about the sauce because it is so good. i've only tried the spicy garlic shrimp and i don't know if i can risk trying anything else because i love that shrimp so much. i hate to be disappointed. but if that particular dish is any indication of the tastiness of the rest of their menu, i'm sure i won't be disappointed if i venture away from my favorite item. another tidbit, i really like how the shrimp is butterflied so the shell comes off easily and you know the shrimp has been cleaned. i HATE struggling with shrimp shells and actually this is the only shell-on shrimp i will ever eat. the "spicy" in the spicy garlic shrimp really isn't so spicy to me, but it definitely packs a nice punch of garlic. you can ask for it extra spicy if you're like me and need atomic heat to enjoy something, but even at that it's not really spicy at all. the flavor is just totally spot on. if you haven't tried andy's yet, i highly recommend it!
