First time here and stopped by around 5pm on a Monday. It wasn't too busy at all. There was a couple of people who ordered takeout before me. The cashier was really nice and everyone's orders came out pretty quickly. Salmon nigiri (3 pieces for $3.79) was your typical precut, fast food quality salmon. Nothing wrong with that though. Spicy ahi nigiri (3 pieces for $4.59) was pretty good. Hot sauce is mixed with mayo so it's creamy, but still had a spicy flavor. I'd reorder this again. Oyako donburi ($8.99) is one thing I'd never order again. If you're used to oyako don that's saucy and cooked with a shoyu based sauce, do not buy this. Once I opened the cover all I could smell was sesame oil. I ate a few pieces of chicken, but I didn't eat anymore because it was really dry, there was no sauce where there normally would be. Despite not liking the oyako donburi, I would come back here and try out the items they have to offer.

This is my go-to for a fast lunch. The tobiko poke is awesome! Tyler at the counter is always super nice. Fish always tastes fresh.

Nice friendly people running the sushi restaurant. Taro smoothie was delish but powdery texture. The sushi here is typical of fast food take out. Had a good laugh when I received my order. Very sparse and lacking of any fish roe. Not so fresh, sad to say. If you like rice though they will be sure to please. Did they run out of roe? Not in season? Took a photo after first bite, see for yourself.

Okay I was totally skeptical of the trashy neighborhood and the totally random garage-sale like decor of this place but we risked it and ate there. Sooo glad we did. The sushi was fabulous and fresh. We stuffed ourselves and it was cheap! It was also a good sign that a lot of locals came in to order. I highly recommend it!

I'm still a fan but I just looked at their menu and prices and they don't have the $.99 hand rolls anymore. the cheapest one is $1.39 (for rolls like tuna, crab, tamago, etc) and they go up to $2.49 (for rolls like spicy ahi, ikura, shrimp tempura, unagi/avacado, etc). They're still big and yummy though! Update: I just went to pick up my order and their window has signs saying the tuna and crab temaki are 99 cents but inside on the wall it says its $1.39 so i'm not sure what the real price is.

This is the BEST sushi place in Oahu! I used the Yelp reviews and visited for our last meal of our vacation in Oahu. This place is awesome! Fresh sushi, awesome quick service, quality food and nice people. What more could you want? We love ahi so we had about 6-7 different variations including hand rolls, maki's, and poke'. It was all outstanding. Never saw so many different choices and with great mouth watering pictures. Wendell, the owner, is so nice, a true aloha spirit. He even brought us some M&M's for dessert. We had a wonderful chat - what a nice guy. Hardworking family. If we lived in Oahu, we'd go every week! Prices are very reasonable too. Definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed. Five stars plus. p.s. The Spicy Ahi has a kick even for spicy food lover like me. Enjoy! I love this place and it will be the first stop next time I fly into Oahu.

Decent sushi. Not the greatest I've ever had but definitely not the best either. Prices were reasonable. Decor was ridiculous.

Great great place! Better than the other aloha sushi locations. Me and my mom were waiting for a vehicle pick up and wanted a quick eat, so we stumbled upon aloha sushi. The guy serving us was very nice and friendly. I ordered the spicy ahi donburi. It came with the fish eggs, avocado, and slices of cucumber. Also had a side of miso soup. He served us our food, which was very nice of him and chatted with us. Definately will be back. Cute stuff animals all over their ceiling too. :)

Spicy ahi is small little diced pieces instead of mashed up ahi. Tasty. Good portions. Friendly owner very chatty. Cute decorations and kids toys reflect the Christian family owned feeling of the shop.

I am no sushi expert but I do know what tastes good. I discovered Aloha Sushi 6 months ago when I came to Hawaii to work. I liked the price and quality so naturally I went back to see them when I came over this time. This place is small with only a few tables and the service is great. I am from Phoenix and go out to eat sushi about once a month. I usually have to pay about 20 to 25 dollars for what I get. At Aloha Sushi you can get the same amount for 12 dollars and the quality is way better than what I get in Phoenix. I am a real sucker for Ahi and what you get at Aloha is melt in your mouth good. So far I have only had the Ahi. During this week I plan on doing quite a bit of sampling what they have. There appear to be several Aloha Sushi's around Oahu and I think it is some kind of franchise. So you may not get the same great service and food at all the stores. I do know what you will get at this one. I don't usually give any 5s but they get a 5 from me. Enjoy!!

This place is definitely a hidden gem. I have gone to this place for years, and their quality has never faltered. I love their spicy ahi bowl, in fact it's the only thing I ever order. I believe that are a family owned operation, and their customer service has always been great! If you're in the mood for fresh sushi, and in the Honolulu airport area, this is your place to go!

Aloha Sushi is a cute little hole in the wall restaurant located in the Airport Commercial Center near Subway and Bale. I say "cute" because the inside is heavily decorated with stuffed animals, girly-type decorations and also a few inspirational/motivational Christian quotes and scriptures. Seating area is very limited and it can get really tight in there, especially during the lunch hours. I recommend calling your order in if you know what you want as it gets busy during lunch. Customer service is usually pretty good here. They have a wide variety of menu items. I usually order the Spicy Ahi Donburi-it comes with a small miso soup. One of my new favorite items is the Dynamite Maki which is not really spicy although they say it is but still a good maki nonetheless. In addition to their sushi, they also sell fountain drinks (Coke products) and random Asian foods and snacks including roasted seaweed and noodle bowls. Overall, this isn't a bad place to get a quick bite of sushi if you're in the area.

Hubby ordered the crunch maki and another maki he was not overly impressed it was just okay to him. I will have to try for myself next time. Place seemed pretty clean. Really decorated, cute...really nice and helpful, patient. Lots of choices available almost too many, but a little cheaper than Ninja Sushi right down the street.

Good spot for poke! I tried all of em, but I like their spicy ahi the best. Decent prices, fresh fish, whimsical decor, and nice people working there. It is more of a takeout place, though there is a counter you can eat at. I'd recommend if you're passing through the area!

The customer service is friendly, the parking is convenient and the sushi is delicious. I've been here several times and have not been disappointed.

I tried the Dynamite Roll for about $9 and it tasted average. I'm not sure what was wrong with it, maybe the rice isn't fresh or something. I also tried their Lychee Bubble Tea. It was a bit ghetto because I was expecting a drink, not some slush ice. It was still pretty good. The bobba is pretty good as well, it isn't chewy as some places where you'd have to chew forever.

This is my favorite sushi place. Super nice people, excellent fresh-made-to-order sushi while you wait. Prices aren't bad, big portions. Huge menu, so many options! Give them a try!

After a 10+ hour flight, you would be dying of hunger too. So not far from the Honolulu airport Yelp led me to this little sushi place. At first, it looks like it was take out only. They only have one table and a few bar stools on a breakfast bar like place. They don't have a paper menu to look at, but they do have hundreds of pictures of sushi rolls and nigiri pieces to choose from. After I scanned the pics, I went for the Ocean salad nigiri (seaweed salad) and the Spicy Ahi Poke. Both were amazing and definitely hit the spot. I LOVE Ahi Poke! This ahi poke was no exception it was delicious. Just the right amount of spice and flavor. The Ocean Salad nigiri was just enough to offset the spicy burn in my mouth before I chowed down more ahi poke. YUM. If you love cheesy Asian/Hello kitty/Finding Nemo decor, this is the place for you. There must be over a hundred waving white kitties on display at this place.

Pro: Portions were large Prices are reasonable Cons: Could never tell the difference between the sushi rolls and they fell apart before I put them in the soy sauce.

Awesome service. Tasty and not too bad on my wallet. Got the buy one maki at regular price and the second maki $2 off. Loved it.

I work in the neighborhood so I have tried just about every restaurant in the area. This place is hands down the best place to get your fish on. I've tried many things here and honestly alot of them are mediocre. What won me over however is their spicy ahi donburi. This behemoth of a meal comes with a healthy sized don spanning 6 inches in diameter. Heaping with close to 1/3 pound of spicy ahi, ikura (thats right I said ikura), masago, with a few slices of cucumber and avocado on top. Throw in a miso soup? Yes they do! This run $9.75 with tax which is slightly on the more expensive side for lunch, but oh so worth it for some quality fish! If you want to get ripped off go to Ninja sushi down the block and eat a palm sized portion of spicy ahi for the same 9 dollars. I do prefer Ninja's over priced rolls (Superman roll! but thats for another review), but overall Aloha sushi is definitely the winner. If you are hesitant due to a bad experience at another Aloha sushi, dont worry! This one is legit. I've been to a few others and had a mediocre experience; but if you keep spicy ahi don in mind, you're sure to have a good time. Pro tip, go on Thursday or Friday. They get their fresh fish in :)

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't that great or special. The location is convenient if you are going to or coming from the airport... Very small place and no restrooms (eww). I'd much rather pick up to go sushi from marukai market.
