SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE FOOD COURT. I went here yesterday on a Saturday for lunch. Usually Korean BBQ is always a hit and you can't go wrong with it. I ate half of my BBQ chicken plate with the mayo potato and choi-sum in the food court and was full. Yeah my chicken was a little burnt but I wasn't picky about it. Here comes the bad part: when I got home and wanted to eat the other half of my plate I discovered a 2 INCH HAIR in my choi-sum just springing out.... I was disgusted and immediately lost my appetite and will never eat here again. My boyfriend saw my reaction and he said it looked like a male armpit hair...

Pearls is similar to Peppas and Yummys!! My favorite is the Pearls Special! The food here is good. If you're on a low carb diet, they let you pick a fifth vegetable side instead of rice! The food is a bit pricey but, definitely worth it.

Quality is bad, meat Jun is fatty and chewy.. Soaked thru with oil and no amount of sauce makes it taste better. I ordered different today, chicken katsu. Crunchy, tough, inedible.. So gross! When you work in the mall you are limited to choices but I must say this is the worst Korean food I've had in a long time!

Located at the Pearl Ridge mall food court. Portions are okay but don't match the price. Their menu is surprisingly similar to Yummy's Korean BBQ. Even the choice of vegetables banchan look exactly the same as Yummy's. The food and beverage containers have the same color scheme. Service is slow. If you decide to try them out, order a meal to go and eat at a more comfortable place. The food court is not a good place to have a meal.

Take out meat Jun okay portions but soaked in oil. Tasted old and reheated. Meat was fatty and chewy not tender. Choi sum and cabbage in large pieces not cut up well. Service was rude and slow!! I had to get the girls attention and she did not seem please to help me. Prices are high for what you get. I will never eat here again.

Not bad. Got the Meat Jun. I would eat here again. The service was a little rude though.

Didn't know where to eat when I got to the mall. Korean sounded good. So Pearls it was. It's your normal Korean plate lunch place. Located in the food court uptown. The service was OK. No smiles. Just take your order and get back to work. The wait was not to long considering it was the peak of the lunch hour. Regular plates gets 4 choice of veggies and mini plates gets 2 choice. They do also have bubble drinks here as well. I ordered the mini spicy BBQ chicken plate with a side of mandoo. I have to say the severing size for a mini was decent. 3 pieces of chicken and one scoop rice. Chicken was moist with the just the right amount of heat. Would I come here again? The answer to that is sure and I would try something new.

BBQ chicken was pretty good but the service was horrible. The two ladies at the front were rude and were on their phone while working.

Pretty standard mall fare. If you like mandoo, the mall's monthly brochure will usually have a coupon for free mandoo or sometimes a free drink! It's an alternative to McDonald's and the 4 choices of Korean vegetables with the regular plate make me feel healthy! Ha! You can also substitute the rice for veggies, so getting the mini plate gets you 4 choices just like the regular!

Food was ok. The loco moco plate was delicious. But the BBQ chicken was a bit dry.

I usually never come to Korean restaurants and order Loco Moco. But I tried their chicken katsu and meat jun which I usually like and it was terrible. To my amazement the hamburger patty very juicy and good flavor. I will order this again.

Hahaha omg this place only has 1.5 stars? And here I thought giving it 3 was harsh! Ok, I've only eaten here once, and that one time my kalbi tasted of burned sugar, was slightly tough, and the chicken was overcooked. And my potatoes were mushy, but the broccoli was crunchy, the noodles were firm, and the fried mandoo didn't have anything wrong with it. That's really my standard as far as places like this are concerned (Gina's, Yummy, Pearl, etc), because NO ONE can beat KIAWE GRILL. I should have known better. Next time I will drive 1 block down the street to get Kiawe Grill, which is Off The Charts Superior in every category, including but not limited to flavor robustness, quality of meat, marinade, cooking procedure, smoke flavor, portion size, free water cup size, availability of real plates and utensils . . . need I go on? You know what the worst part is? I think Pearl is actually more expensive than Kiawe Grill, perhaps because of the high mall rent?

Pearl's Korean BBQ has an awesome Bi Bim Bap that was so big I couldn't finish it! After I scrapped the nasty yellow part of the egg, I started chowing down on the ong choi, kimchi, bean sprouts, tough, salty beef and the crunchy salad underneath it all. It was hella salty but it was really flavorful, especially the kimchi. I felt a little weak for not being able to finish it, so I sort of nonchalantly slid it off the table into the nearby trashcan, avoiding glances from the little Korean couple nearby, whose weight combined was less than me, as they grinded their same size plate cleaner than mine!

I have not tried the KBBQ yet, but I've already had some of the boba drinks - taro and only taro to be exact! It was possibly one of the worst boba drinks I've ever had. However, on the bright side, it wasn't THE worst. The drink is all ice with little flavor. The boba isn't terrible, however. But I guess what can I expect from the cheap price?

some of the crappiest most MSG soaked food i've ever had. i've eaten here twice, but never again - fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! the portions are good, but the HEADACHE you will get after you eat is not worth it at all. there is so much MSG in the food, i'm surprised i didnt go into anaphylactic shock. both times i ate here i left with a migraine that didnt go away until hours later. the meat jun is pretty sad, the bbq chicken is ok, but lacked flavor (funny considering all the MSG) and the sides are standard, except for the small pancake thjngs they have sometimes, but once again - MSG city. if you insist on eating "fast-food korean" and not going to a restaurant - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.... unless you like migraines.

Don't EVER. Eat here! OMG! my daughter and I went to the mall this weekend. We were starving ,so first thing first, we had to EAT lunch! I ordered Church's fried chicken, my daughter went to her favorite - pearls Korean BBQ. she ordered her usual , BBQ chicken! After tasting it, she said, ew! Taste this Mom, it taste spoiled! I refused to get food poisoning , no way was I going to taste that! I told her to NOT eat it and return it! Get her money back and go somewhere else! She sat there eating the other stuff on her plate besides the chicken! We we're sitting next to two ladies who were whispering about their food, while digging around on their plate! We leaned over and notice it was from the same place! We asked them what's wrong? She showed us a worm coming out of their tofu!!! Eeeeeewwww barf! Never ever gonna eat there ! My daughter went to get her money back, the girl at the counter took her plate and cut a piece of chicken off and tasted it and said , taste fine to me! Ew! Who does that? After my daughter told her about the lady with the worm in her tofu, she quickly gave her money back while other people in line looked like they were having second thoughts! Hmmmm..... Spoiled chicken and worms in tofu???? I would run fast outta that line!!! Duh!

Food is terrible and very inedible. Way too much MSG in everything. What a waste of $ on something so bad.
