Moe’s Southwest Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Ive been to this place numerous times and when I'm craving Mexican "fast food" I always think of this place! To me, it's "healthier" than Taco Bell and although the set up is practically identical to Taco Del Mar ... I always choose Moes. I usually order the Joey Bag of Donuts (love the names) burrito with chicken and extra cheese. Today I actually ate at the "restaurant" instead of just getting it as takeout like I normally do. It might sound weird, but I actually think I prefer the takeout better. I say this because when I do takeout, the cheese has more time to melt in the burrito which makes it divine ... it's all about the melted cheese for me!! I do agree with other reviewers that the servers seem to have lost their customer service abilities. The last few times I've been here there was no one in line ahead of me and the workers saw me waiting to order, but either continued to talk to each other or took their sweet time walking towards me. I don't know if this is due to the management at this place, but the people are definitely the friendliest ... they're lucky the food is good! FINAL VERDICT: When craving Mexican and you don't have time to go to El Mariachis ... Moes is where you want to be!!

Good Stuff. I use to practically drink their hot sauces from the salsa bar. The green stuff is money I tell ya. Anyways my opinion is the salsas make it good whether you go for a bag of chips (waiting for pay day) or you splurge on that burrito.

love the chips and queso BUT at 3-4 dollars per taco they shouldn't skimp on the toppings BUT they do!!!

I've tasted disgusting "mexican" food, and ive tasted bomb mexican food....this place proves that flavor is important. Welcome to moes!

Upon entering the front door from the parking lot, I had to step over napkins and chip debris on the floor. The crew member that served me never made eye contact or smiled. They ran out of chicken for their burritos so I had to choose another meat. The salsa bar was out of their spicy salsa and nearly out of one of the medium choices. Thankfully my burrito was good, otherwise I would have given only 1 star. Not worth a return visit.

Man, I love Moe's. This is the only one on the island so I don't have many choices when I get that craving. The flavor is the same from the mainland one which is why it gets the four stars. The reason that it doesn't get five stars is this particular location. They are very stingy on portions when compared to the mainland Moe's and add on several extra charges for sauces and ingredients. $1 for sour cream and $0.50 for a sauce? Seems a bit excessive especially because my burrito is about half the size of the one I get at other locations.

Located in Pearlridge Mall, this place is a change of pace from the usual plate lunch, ramen, or fast food establishments in the area. They've got fajitas, burritos, nachos, and some bomb guacamole. And with every entree ordered, you get free chips and salsa. They promote making their foods fresh. You can customize your order if there are certain veggies and things you'd prefer not to eat. I ordered the steak fajita. It comes 3 tortilla wraps. Not bad and quite filling. Not the greatest, but not bad either. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if I were having a craving and was in the area, I would stop by again. Enjoy.

Although Hawaii is notorious for really bad Mexican food, my experience at Moe's was just alright. Upon entering the menu is on the side wall, nice, big, and clear. They do offer quite a good amount of items and you can customize your protein with chicken, grassfed beef, pork, and ground beef... they also have vegetarian options which is nice. Customer service was great! No complaints here. Opted for the HomeWrecker Burrito with grass-fed beef. (Tortilla with seasoned rice, beans, all-natural shredded cheese and pico de gallo along with lettuce, all-natural sour cream and handmade guacamole.) BONUS: Free chips and salsa with every meal. The salsa is self served and quite delicious I must say. Perfect amount of spicyness and freshness. The burrito itself was pretty lack luster to me though. Nothing special... the beef barely had any flavor to begin with which was a big disappointment to such a quality of beef (grassfed). I'd also like to point out that the seating area was a bit... dirty. Traces of food and sticky residue can be found, especially in the booth seating area. Gross. All in all, it was just... ok. I would only come back for chips and salsa~

If you like Chipotle then this is a good alternative for it but definitely NOT the same. It has the same concept though. But overall, it's not the same great taste as chipotle. However, I do like the fact that you can make tacos, bowls, and taco salads (I don't remember if you can make tacos and taco salad at chipotle) and with every food you get free chips on the side plus, there is a salsa bar. Chips aren't lime flavored like the ones at chipotle. Overall, not a bad place to go. We got 2 burritos (and I squirted some lemon on it.. That was good!) and a drink, all for the price of $20.

Pro's -food is decent (think commercial Mexican ie. Chipotle but not quite as good) -usually a clean place -workers have been friendly to me -easily accessible Cons -food is decent, but not exactly to die for (although I do know one person who loves it) I'd suggest this place to try for someone who really wants Mexican food and doesn't mind the commercial taste. But I have spent time in Cali and I am in love with the 'hole in the wall' places/ trucks that serve food I consider to be less commercial and more tasty (likely more unhealthy also). specifically their salad options are good, the burrito's are decent. The chips and salsa are pretty good too. I'm not entirely sure but it seems as though they have two different salsa's and one tastes much better than the other imo.

was hoping that this place is like chipotle on the mainland , but far from it ... the burrito hardly had any meat and flavor . the nice touch here is that they give you free chips and salsa

I love Moe's! I've only tried the chicken club quesadilla but it was soo good, I haven't had the urge to order anything else. The portion size is good for two people to share, especially because you get the free chips and salsa on the side. I also loved trying out their different salsas. But hands down, their queso is bomb! I just can't get enough. Anytime I'm at Pearlridge, I have to stop here.

Probably this would not be the place to go to after you've done a 10-day detox, but HENCE while doing some retail therapy at Pearl Ridge to celebrate a 20lbs loss victory that my wife & I lost each, why not eat some nachos and burritos!? This a great feel when you enter, there is a menu that's simple & easy to figure out. It's also great that they have vegetarian options as well, I mean who doesn't love that!? Especially our none eating meat friends! (I love vegetarian food btw but my weakness is bacon, I have not figured out how to give that up yet ) Besides all that, Moe's is like a Subway but instead of French breads you have nachos and tortillas and taco shells lol it's pretty awesome that you can pick out whatever options they have for you! I ordered the Billy Barou Nachos since I wanted to be a fatty (and as I write this at the moment my stomach feels as if it's about to explode!! my stomach is over satisfied..ugh!) though they're ingredients are pretty healthy & fresh in my word so that's great! My wife got a Home wrecker burrito b/c like me she's a fatty at heart..and of course since we completed our 10 day cleanse she couldn't finish her burrito either...it was pretty sad but it should be a good thing right?! Ha! Anyways always appreciate a place that shows appreciation to our Military family by giving them 20% discount on Wed after 5pm and the rest of the week they give 10% even though I am not in the military, I feel they should definitely be truly appreciated! So overall I am stuffed with all the nachos and black beans and veggies with they're awesome queso cheese & my wife looks pretty stuffed as well LOL! Awesome food as well as a great spacious area for lunch or dinner if you want a bite after a whole 3 hrs of shopping or more! Haha also they give you free chips & they have a salsa bar as well! Definitely check them out! Happy eats Yelpers!

I really like going here with my family when we are out shopping at the Pearl Ridge center. The food is good, fast Mexican-American style, think Chipotle but with smaller burritos, unlimited chips and discounts on Mondays. I usually get the Homewrecker (funny name that makes me laugh every time), my boyfriend gets the Billybaroo and our 5 year old the cheese quesadilla (comes with a drink and a chocolate chip cookie). Pretty cheap place if you want something quick, easy and won't burn your wallet either.

    (4)
  • Amanda C.

Queso Queso. That is the best thing here. Go for it. I usually get a salad and cup of Queso. It's the only one on the islands, bring a cheesy friend!

Got chicken bowl with no rice. Guacamole and Pico were fresh. Very good and very friendly service!!! Will be back!

Would be 5 stars because I am a loyal customer and I love the food but there is this guy named PAUL who has the worst customer service. He asked me if I wanted salsa with my taco salad, I said yes. So he puts such a tiny amount on that big a** spoon of his. I ask him for more... he scoops up some salsa, and then shakes most of it off! I felt like I was going to be there all night asking him for more, but I didn't. Then my boyfriend orders a chicken club which comes with bacon, lettuce and all that good stuff but Paul does not put any of that in his chicken club. I did not come here to pay $20 for a meal that is made half a** and for someone to act like a jerk when I ask for more. & he always acts like he hates his job when I go there.

Used to go to Moe's on the mainland about three times a week. I think this location opened up just before I graduated and moved back to Hawaii in 2008, so I was excited for the continuity. At first it was pretty much the same. Same menu (of course), pretty much the same prices (more expensive in Hawaii, but that's to be expected), and decent service. Over time, the menu has changed. Gone is my old favorite, the Triple-Lindy -- the perfect balance between the basic Joey Bag of Donuts and the deluxe Homewrecker. For a while I could still order it even though it wasn't on the menu (like it was a secret or something), but recently I haven't been able to do that anymore. Can't fault this location for that, as that's probably a corporate decision. Also can't really fault this location for the rising prices -- that's just a sign of the times. What I can fault this location for is its attitude and ambiance -- particularly the policies of the management. What made Moe's great was its endless supply of salsa. For a person who likes salsa (and condiments in general) as much as I do, that was a definite plus. Shortly after I started coming to the Hawaii location, a strongly worded sign was posted next to the salsa bar stating (in so many words) that if you take too much salsa, you might be charged more. Not sure how that would be enforced, but I do know my mother was yelled about by the female manager (owner?) once for getting a refill. That's not the "Welcome to Moe's!" culture I came to like about the chain. Sorry to say, it's just another chain now. When people would rave about how great Chipotle was, I would counter and tell them how great Moe's was because of the chips and salsa that came with the burrito. Because of its draconian management, I can't really brag about the Pearlridge Moe's. Moe's used to be a great place that understood me as a lover of burritos and salsa. It used to be a bargain. Now it's just a place to get an overpriced burrito and (still) as much as salsa as I like, no matter how angry the sign is posted over the salsa bar. P.S. -- I read a few reviews about portion sizes being smaller here compared to the mainland. It has also been my experience, but it doesn't really bother me, even with the higher prices, since I'm getting older and have to watch what I eat.

First impressions...clean, good service and quality ingredients. It's very similar to subway, but instead of making sandwiches they make burritos and fajitas. I like the fact that you can create your own orders and that the ingredients are in plain sight. Each meal comes with chips as well. There is also a salsa bar with 3 different types of salsas to choose from. It's priced right as well. I'll be back!

First timer, food was awesome. I had the chicken bowl and the boyfriend had a burrito. Sooo tasty. The three stars were for Service- It was quite empty when we walked in. The girl who did our order mumbled and we could hardly understand (there is a glass in front of us) and just pointed to the things to ask if we wanted it on our food. Later, I asked for a bag for my leftovers & she just pointed on the counter. Seems like these people do not enjoy what they do. When you go to a place for the first time, besides the taste of the food; service is something that helps decides if we should or shouldn't come back again.

I always love the food ( and queso dip) at Moe's. However, every time I come to this location even if it isn't busy, it seems like it's kinda dingy, there's always a mess next to the drink area, food all over the tables and floor. The food is good but has never been hot-n-fresh. I gave this location another try this afternoon and the girl serving our food didn't even utter one word, she just gave us a really mean look the whole time as we asked for what we would like on our rice bowl...it was uncomfortable, the cashier was friendly! Aren't they supposed to give us the awesome "Welcome to Moe's!!" when guests walk in? Oh well, I don't think I'll come back to this location any time soon.

Unfortunately, I really do not have any place to compare this to (Hello Chipotle!). Moe's is located in Pearlridge Uptown Mall between Robek's and TJ Maxx. They are one of the great vendors who provides a military discount. This burrito place would probably get a 3 star review if it was located anywhere else except Hawaii. They receive a bump in review solely for being one of the few burrito places on the island. You know the drill - choose your size tortilla, your meat, and your veggies. However, don't bother looking online to pre decide your meal. They don't carry a lot of the options noted on their internet menu. They even taped over the whole wheat tortilla option in the store. I'm not sure if they just decided to stop offering wheat or they just received the signs from their franchising company and decided to never offer it in the first place. They also don't offer fish as an option either. I have never had an issue with this, but note that there is a sign prohibiting other food in their area. I usually end up going to Robeks for lunch with my husband going to Moe's. If someone did enforce their rule, we wouldn't have anywhere to sit to enjoy lunch together.

Excellent Tex-Mex food. Military discount provided. Coming from Texas myself I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the food. My favorite menu item is the Joey bag of donuts Burrito with chips and queso. My little niece who can be the pickiest and slowest eater ever finished her food before me and loved it! The staff is very friendly and attentive. I definitely will be back soon.

Seems like they have gotten very skimpy with the ingredients, even if you ask for extra. This is to include the chips!!! Overall our meal was very good but there was hardly any meat or beans in either burrito!!

  • Kahuku F.

There is something awesome about Moe's. There aren't many places in Hawai'i that serve Tex-Mex food. Yes, there are plenty of Mexican cantinas that are great too, but Tex-Mex has a style all it's own. I've on the Big Island, and I seem to visit this location every time on O'ahu. I have the feeling they may have a new owner recently, as everything was cleaner than past visits, and got the "Welcome To Moe's" greeting. I opted for the Unanimous Decision veggie taco, and a side of queso. Very tasty, affordable, and hit the spot. Now, if only we could get a Moe's on Hawai'i Island.

Hate to use this expression but it was worse than "God awful". Zero stars!! My sister & i went to Pearlridge in the evening on 3/06/15. We had my kids in tow. They are 5mo & 2yrs old. This is to explain why we didn't go back that night. All parents know the kids are "B" you go home. Any way we went in to this place. Decided fast food like nachos & soft tacos would be great. (We have snubbed "TB" when our stomachs went south of the border the last time we ate there.) Never Again!! $20 down the drain! How can any place serving Nachos & tacos screw up badly. This place Moes can. It looked good. That's all it was. The guys serving at the counter was eager to slop together our order & tack on all extras to be rung up at the register as "additional costs" (everybody don't you like to hear that) i thought "wth" its going to make tasty Nachos. A plate of nachos & two tacos $18.75! Yeah the friendly lady (sarcasm!) at the register rung our order. She was a bucket of sunshine. My pet peeve at any place is unhappy employees. If you don't want to work there move the heck on & give someone else a chance who wouldn't mind doing your job. Everyone needs a paycheck but it shouldn't make you pissy towards others. Customers are your paycheck!!! Ok rant done. she also didn't give our receipt. Not when she gave the change or in the food bag. We looked everywhere because after we took a bite of our food we wanted to go back to complain. Long story short the nachos didn't get eaten because it was in edible. The chips were like rubber cardboard, the meat cold, the queso sauce made me queasy to try it. Mind you we just got into the car after leaving the place five minutes ago. My sister ate her taco said not bad but but by the time we got to my house she was shoving us out of the way to get to the bathroom. She said her stomach did a 360. I called to complain was told it was my fault i don't get the receipt & didn't know what to do to help me before rude Bob put ChrissyAnn the owner on line. She said she would call me back as it was rush hour she was busy with customers. Huh the owner working the counter ok. She said she didn't know what could have gone wrong. That was the last i heard from her as we are playing phone tag. So no resolution yet to the horrible food & our money flushed down the drain. I say eat at your own risk.

I used to come here a lot over the past few years, but the service and food have plummeted. The energy of the preparers is down. Last time I went, they seemed like It was an annoyance to have to be preparing food. The beans were only lukewarm, too al dente and no flavor. The salsa bar used to be stocked and exciting. This time there were only two kinds and they both tasted the same -- boring canned taste. Won't be back here. Much better places to go, like the friendly, authentic, delicious Azteca.

I love the white queso!! The employees are super friendly and I like how they remember my order!

Food was pretty good and I liked the chips and salsa. However, the service was horrible. We had a middle aged man "helping" us and would not let us order what we wanted. On their wall to the right of the store front was a poster of several items. We had regularly ordered one of these items on multiple occasions. But on this day the man insisted they didn't make that burrito. I said, it's right there on your wall. That poster lists the ingredients that are in it. Then he said he could make it but wouldn't put in everything that was listed on the poster's ingredients. It's not that they didn't have it because I could see it all right there behind the glass, and we had ordered it many times before. To top it off he was extremely rude from the start. This was the most frustrating experience I have ever had at an eating establishment.

Moe's Southwest Grill has been around for years, but this past week was the first time the bf and I had ever tried it. We were looking for a "snack," but settled for the Chicken Nachos and the Chicken Rice Bowl. CHICKEN NACHOS Served with your choice of either black or pinto beans, Moe's uniquely whitish Queso, pico de gallo, jalapenos and black olives. There are a variety of other fresh ingredients to choose from, but we kept it kind of simple. The Queso is what won me over. At first, I was kind of weirded out by the strange creamy whitish color.. But after the first bite, I couldn't stay away. The bf and I had to pretty much fight over who got to finish off the plate of nachos. We'll definitely be ordering the nachos again.. Maybe 2 next time... CHICKEN RICE BOWL yelp.com/biz_photos/moes… Seasoned rice, black or pinto beans, chicken breast, grilled mushrooms and peppers, pico de gallo, shredded cheese and chipotle ranch dressing. Out of the bunch of other fresh toppings, I chose to add only some jalapenos, cilantro and a squeeze of lime. This was also served with some chips. Salsa was obtained at the salsa bar. This Chicken Rice Bowl was good. I loved the grilled mushrooms and peppers! And the chipotle ranch dressing gave the bowl extra depth. SALSA BAR The salsa bar is always a good idea in any Mexican / Tex-Mex / Southwest type restaurant. I like choices and sometimes I like to mix things up, especially salsa / sauces. I usually go straight for the spicy and the bf tends to stick with the mild-medium salsa, so I'm glad there was at least a few different choices... VERDICT I kind of really like Moe's. Yes, they cater mostly towards Military, but that's fine. (No Kama'aina discount here...only Military discount.) The prices aren't bad anyway... The bf and I will definitely be back for the nachos, but I'd like to try some of the other items as well. The Homewrecker Burrito sounds fantabulous!!

Moving from SoCal it's hard to find GOOD AUTHENTIC Mexican food... Moes gives you that fresh fast food Mexican vibe... You can't go wrong with anything you order here.. Their tortilla chips and salsa are FREE with every order and they are AMAZING! My go is item is always the chicken burrito with ALL THE FIXINGS or the Philly burrito- very similar to the fajita burrito. And I can't forget to mention their QUESO!!!!! Amazing!!! White cheddar with jalapeños.... Even my little 2 year old loves it. Can't wait to come back!!!

  • Alyssa T.

If I didn't love the food, I probably would never come back. There are two particular girls behind the counter who are usually so rude and snarky. It's not the type of greeting I'd want my customers to get in my restaurant. The trash seems to always be overflowing when I am there which is quite a turnoff. They do have a military discount all the time and a higher one on Wednesday nights so that is always a plus. The owner is very friendly.

This is the first place that I can say beats Taco Del Mar, and I'll tell you why. There are numerous items to choose from on their menu, their toppings are fresh and each meal comes with free chips and salsa. There is also a salsa bar near the drink fountain so you can constantly refill your salsa cup as much as you want and not run out. I got the taco salad with steak. The veggies were fresh and the taco shell was crispy and not stale. My steak was chunks of real meat that was seasoned well. I really liked the topping choices. They had cilantro, fresh jalapenos (totally a winner in my book - none of that canned crap), onions, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, regular tomatoes and even cucumbers. The seating area was clean and spacious. It wasn't too crowded on a Sunday.

Pretty good goin' down, but a little more problematic on the back side (as in, muy rapido!). Got tacos for the kiddies and a "Homewrecker" chicken burrito for me. Liked the pulled chicken (similar to Taco Del Mar, and better than Chipotle's grilled format), but didn't like the rice, which was very hard & bland. Chipotle's cilantro-lime rice preparation is much tastier and fluffier. Burrito is prepared via human conveyor belt, just like Chipotle. Fresh crunchy corn chips included, but they are completely neutral (not even salt added). Staff was friendly, but alas we could not take advantage of military discount (a nice nod to folks in uniform, but how'bout a little help for the civies that support them via taxes etc.?) Got a kick out of the salsa names, and they did the work with the chips, but they weren't quite as authentic or tasty as, say, Serg's (probably best on Oahu). Overall, decent Mexican food at a reasonable price, and especially good for military (20% off after 5 PM!). But beware potential repercussions...

This place is awesome I don't know why I haven't came here earlier. Anyways I usually get the Chicken Home Wrecker Burrito and it's all goodness.. I got the meal and it was about $10 They give you a lot in portion so its worth it.. better than going to Taco Bell. If you ever ate at Chipotles Moes definitely beats them hands down..! And anything you order comes with free chips and salsa. My recommendation go get some Moes..!!

I would have given this place a four-star review a year ago, when I used to frequent Moe's a lot. The staff at that time seemed very energetic and actually seemed to care about you! They'd scream out heartily "Welcome to Moes!!" This time, it was a bit different on many levels. I noticed the prices have gone up since I last came - blame the recession. Ok. Move onto the menu board. I order the same thing every time I come here because I don't eat meat, so I get the Art Vandalay, which is a huge vegetarian burrito stuffed to the gills until it is almost bursting, for $5.99 (the burrito lasted me for two meals, BTW) The Homewrecker is what my husband usually gets, with your choice of meat (beef or chicken), rice, beans, cheese and veggies of your choice - $7.49. It was also a huge burrito. We got our son the Moo Moo Mr. Cow, which is basically a kid-sized burrito with a choice of meat, rice, beans, cheese and whatever veggies you desire, a drink and a cookie for $4.49. Ok so the prices went up, I can understand that...what I couldn't understand was the guy making our burritos!!! Now I've lived in Hawaii almost all my life and have been exposed to many many people of different races and all walks of life but this was the first time I had no clue what the guy was mumbling about each and every time he asked about the burrito orders. Not only did he have a strong accent (no problem, usually) but he kept his head down the whole time and talked out of his mouth with zero eye-contact....geeze, I hope he didn't end up spitting on the food talking like he was. The salsa bar was so-so. I am used to having all four sauces there but this time there were only the three red sauces. There's a really good hot sauce that will knock your socks off, BTW...good stuff... but I used to like the cilantro green sauce that was completely missing. Not only that, there was a sign that said anyone abusing the salsa bar will be charged. I guess it was bound to happen - greedy chow hounds slopping great salsa into zip-lock bags and jars from home for their own gluttonous stash. Chip refills used to be free, now they cost 50 cents. I guess they had either too many greedy, gluttonous people draining them dry or the recession is now pretty bad in Hawaii. I didn't see the "Kids Eat Free" on Wednesdays sign either. Military and mall employee discounts for 20% if you show them valid ID.

I love Moe's I actually discovered it while living in South Carolina and was so excited when I found one in pearlridge shopping center. The Queso is delish! I recommend it with everything!

  • Jay C.

Moe's is actually pretty dang good. Comparable to chipotle. They have fresh made salsa as well. If you order a burrito, it comes with fried tortilla chips which taste amazing, especially if you squeeze a lemon over them!

    (4)
  • Kelly G.

At around $8 for one of their bigger burritos, Moe's was a decent place for a late lunch after some mall walking. Its basically your Taco Del Mar, just different name. Upfront and center they show that they have military discount! 20% on Tuesdays? and 10% rest of the time. Unfortunately, I didn't let them know I had an ID and she refused to swipe the transaction again. sigh.

1.12.13 I have always loved Mexican food, both authentic and Mex-inspired. But, going away for school converted me into a burrito lover. My all time fav burrito place is Chipotle. Unfortunately they only have locations on the mainland :( Ever since I've been home, I've been looking for a suitable replacement to satisfy my cravings for Chipotle. ...and I think I found it! This is located on the newer side of Pearlridge Mall's Uptown near the TJ Maxx...I had always known it was there but had never really bothered to try it until I got rave reviews from my dad (who is not usually a fan of "Mexican" food). So, of course I had to try it! The place was clean and the staff was pretty friendly; the guy making my burrito assured me that they would be seeing me again soon...riiiiiiight. I decided to go with the Homewrecker burrito (~$9). The difference between this and the Joey Bag of Donuts burrito is that it included guacamole and sour cream (~$7). They also offer a combo add on for $2.79 that includes a small drink and your choice of either a side of guacamole OR Moe's queso; if you're planning on getting this it might be more worth it to just go with the JBD and get the side guac, but that's just an idea ;) First off, the burrito was HUGEJANGOUS. It must have been almost a pound, but clearly worthy to hang with Chipotle's reputation for having heavyweight burritos. The way it works is you choose/tell them what you want and it's cafeteria style: you go down the line and they ask you what you want inside and you tell them. First rice, then beans, meat (choice of tofu/chicken/veggie ~$7 or steak/pork ~$9 for the Homewrecker), lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and then there are other veggies you can add (i.e. olives, onions, cilantro, etc). Second, SUPER YUMMY. While the taste is not quite up to Chipotle, I liked that the pork was smoked (i.e. kalua pork) and all the ingredients were super fresh; great salsa and guac! I didn't think I would be able to eat the entire thing...but being the "phatty" I am I did demolish the yummy deliciousness of that juicy burrito! NOM NOM NOM. Third, every order really does come with free chips & there is a salsa bar with some salsas to choose from. If you buy a drink and eat in, no refills if you are sharing your drink (there is a sign HAHA). So, in hindsight I guess that employee was right, because I had a great experience--thanks Moe! I will for sure be back when I am craving a Chipotle fix, which might be sometime soon haha. Join me & eat in the "Moe"ment! You won't regret it! ;) Yelp 365 Challenge: #012/365

Food is not bad here. I do feel however that their price for queso was a little steep. Also, one of the male workers that was working there scratched his head, with his glove on, and continued making orders. That was pretty gross. No hand wash or even changing the glove. The food was ok but it was this action that killed their rating for us.

great service and fast!... I work in the mall and it's quicker than Taco Bell!! quicker and fresh...looks like I'll be hearing "Welcome to Moe's more often!

This place is great! Their queso is my favorite, it's so good! We had this place back home so I'm glad there's one here too. I like they have a military discount, they were friendly enough.

We like Moe's on the mainland a lot. We love this Moe's cause it's the only one. The manager skimps on the food and condiments and charges extra for any little thing you want. The prices have gone up since we've been on island but I can understand that, I just wish they would give you a little more for your money. They charge extra to get sour cream on Nachos or even a taco salad. I get charged extra for wanting shredded cheese on my nachos. The Moe's on the mainland is all about a friendly atmosphere and whenever you asked for a condiment or even more chips, they just smiled and helped you out. Not here, they make sure to only give 1 scoop of beans per nachos. It's just a little frustrating. Love the Food, not paying an extra $4 to get sour cream, shredded cheese and 2 scoops of beans on them though.

One of the only Mexican restaurants I know of which offers tofu as a protein. Gluten-free and vegan friendly. Generous portions at a reasonable price. Check it out muchachos and muchachas!

The measure your meat with a tiny meat scooper then shake it and half of the meat falls off. Ask for extra meat $2.50 ok sure whatever i'll pay 2.50 but dont skimp me on my extra scoop also. This place pisses me off and i have no idea why i keep coming back For this disapointment!?

FOOD here is pretty good for the Price. The Customer Service was alright. this one older korean guy who works there might own it or its family business .. hes always grouchy. I always go there for a CLOSE TALKER TACO SALAD.. WITH ROCKS THE HOUSE. if you love veggies you will love this place. Seating: FIND your own seating.

I don't think I ever refused to go to Moe's Southwest Grill, but I have resisted it for a long time. I must have done a good job at it too, because it's been so long since I'd been that I had forgotten why I didn't like it. So today when it came up during the daily lunch discussion, I agreed. Even though I didn't remember why, I really expected not to like it. Well surprise surprise! I did like it. I could find no real fault with Moe's. My Taco Salad with chicken was fresh, good and reasonably priced. They have a choice of salsas. You can get as much as you like of any or all of them, and they were all good. They offer a 10% discount to military. They even had CCR playing as background music! That was a big win for me. The only minor discrepancy I noted was that the menu on their website said, "All salads served with chopped romaine lettuce." Shredded iceberg lettuce was what I got. However, this lettuce bait-n-switch is not enough to get me to resist Moe's Southwest Grill the next time it comes up during our lunch discussion. Heck, if no one else brings it up, I might.

We love Moes! Such friendly service and delicious food. I always get the personal trainer and my husband gets the burrito. Excellent taste vs a lot of Mexican restaurants being bland here on the island.

I was a regular when they first opened. Always ordered the Joey Bag of Donuts meal. When I first started eating here, they used to cook the steak to order. Not anymore. They also used to have tomatillo salsa at the free salsa bar. I rarely see this anymore. Maybe the steak took too long, but now it's precooked. Sniff. That makes me sad. They are always pretty friendly, but I feel like the food quality has dipped a bit. I do enjoy the fresh jalapenos in my burrito. I also appreciate the free salsa bar, but I wish they continued to make the tomatillo salsa, which was my favorite. This place definitely satisfies my Mexican food cravings when I'm in a rush. The free chips and salsa are definitely a plus.

There is a Moe's on Oahu. I thought for sure when I came out to the island that one of the mainland comforts I was going to have to forgo was the gut-bombing, meat-sweat inducing, ass burning and downright delectable fast food burrito. Luckily, I was wrong. I can't put my finger on it, but this doesn't seem like a real Moe's... That is why it only gets 4 stars. The salsa bar is always ransacked, and it has never had the tomatillo salsa that takes away me to that special place. Also, the pork, referred to as "Kalua pork" (a local favorite), tastes slightly different than the pork I used to have back home... Why would they change it? Regardless, my favorite fast food burrito joint exists on the island, and that is a reason for rejoice. They also have a wickedly awesome Military discount of 10% at all times, and 20% after 1700 on Wednesday. I salute you Mr. Moe's Franchisee! "Welcome to Moe's!"

Haven't been here in over a year, but the food is the same, tasty as usual. Came here about 7:00pm and it wasn't too busy. It had a lot seats available which is good because it can get packed real fast. My mom ordered the Billy Barou and it was ono; especially the queso cheese! At first, I thought it wasn't too much, but when you add in all the toppings, it actually came out a descent size. If you're in the mood for nacho's, I'd recommend this because it comes with queso cheese, olives, and chicken/steak. I had the Fat Sam Fajita's for the first time and it was pretty good. It was on the pricey side, but they gave enough to make 3 fajita's. I had the steak as my meat; it was moist, tender, and very tasty. It also comes with bell peppers, onions, shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa, and lettuce. I first thought it wouldn't be enough, but after my 3rd fajita I was pretty full. In addition to my entree, they gave some complimentary tortilla chips. They also have about 4 different selections of salsa which range from medium (not spicy at all) to hot (a little spicy). Since we came late, there wasn't too much salsa left, but there was enough for my fajita's and chips! If you're in the area and craving some tex-mex, stop by moe's and it'll satisfy your craving.

We were regulars here when my family lived in Aiea from 2007-2008. We would always come on Wednesday nights because kids ate free and they had a guy who made balloon animals for the kids. The balloon animal guy was quite talented, too. I don't know if they still do that anymore. This Moe's is like just about any other Moe's. Good burritos. I was pleasantly surprised to find this one had Kahlua Pork as an option though, and it was heavenly. Good, prompt, professional service. The place is clean. I'm sure I'll be back to Moe's again.

I got the junior chicken burrito. The chicken was ok- a little plain. The veggies and toppings were fresh. The workers are super friendly. The food was just ok but the atmosphere was nice.

I remember coming here when they first opened at Pearlridge. I can't remember exactly how long that was but over time I've seen some improvements upon this place from their restaurant atmosphere to their food menu. There are many selections that you can choose from the menu from tacos to burritos to rice bowls. A lot of the food is customizable since you have options of choosing your own toppings at the counter (beans, sauce, cheeses, etc.) This is actually a nice alternative to if you don't want to eat at Taco Bell but I wouldn't come here if you want authentic Mexican food if that's what you are coming for. I do enjoy their bowls more than anything (chicken, tofu, and beef). I also like the tacos and burritos but sometimes that can get too messy with all of the salsa and what not. The staff and customer service is good. They have a very generous military discount which is 10 percent and 20 percent on Wednesday nights after 5PM! Too bad I am not military. The food overall is pretty good. All meals come with free salsa and chips which is awesome. They have a salsa bar where you can choose you won salsa and take if to go if you want. They have a decent amount of table and seating areas for dining in. They are conveniently located at Pearlridge Shopping Center Uptown right across from Robeks. They are right in front of the entrance of the mall if you are on the ground level right next to TJ Maxx. Their food is always made fresh daily. They have one LCD TV on the wall for sports and other stuff which is pretty cool for dine in customers to watch and stuff.

The Chick that works there with the classless Hawaiian Island neck tattoo really sucks. EVERY single time I go in there she has a total crap attitude and I even got a picture of her on her cell phone while working at the service counter! I hope the managers read these reviews and either can her or put her in the back. This girl has no business being the first person to greet paying customers. Other than that deadbeat worker that has no ambition and hates her job the other employees were cordial. The two Asian workers I have enocountered their must be owners of some sort because they are kind and courteous. The food is typical Hawaiian Mexican food, just good enough to calm a craving but never good enough to compare to even a crappy Mexican restaurant in Cali.

This place is great. Fresh Mex. It reminds me of Chipoltes. I will definitely be back. The rice bowl was great. The southwest dressing is yummy and spicy. The staff was really friendly as well.

After seeing this chain on an episode of Undercover Boss, we realized that there is one located on the island and decided to check it out. It's pretty difficult to find decent Mexican food out here, but this turned out to be pretty good. Everything was fresh, including the different salsas at the salsa bar. The servings were pretty hefty as well. When in the mood for Mexican grill style food, I would definitely return to Moe's!

honestly, this place was a surprise. happy its baby friendly place. baby loves the cheese quesadilla! the chips and salsa were great! my husband and i loved our chicken burritos! service could be better and the place was a little dirty feeling...i do like that we go our food fast. we will try it this place again!

Both times I went there, customer service was horrible!!!!! Seriously they need to retrain their staff. They always seem so grumpy and I felt like I was a bother to them. Food wasn't bad, better than Taco Bell. I ordered a beef and chicken burrito to go. The grouchy lady named TABITHAH helped me. Since it was a take out order, she dumped chips in a paper brown bag on top of my burritos. That's so ghetto but oh well. Main thing is that I'm never going back unless they drop their BAD ATTITUDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was the first time I tasted their food. I really enjoyed the burrito. Even tough it was plan( just stake, rice, black beans and cheese) , it was filled with flavor...this is my New Mexican food spot in the island. I really want to take my family there. Great job guys.

As far as authenticity goes, this place isn't very close. But I'll forgive that because the food still tastes great. The prices are kind of high, but they are in a mall in Hawaii. The steak that is available for order with most (all?) of their meals is delicious and the queso cheese (aside from the fact that its not like the queso that I've had anywhere else) is downright addictive! I even have them fill up my burritos with it and get more on the side to go with the chips. They sell what they call "Northern Tea", which is just a clever way of saying that its unsweetened. But at least its brewed and not from a fountain dispenser. Speaking of cleverness, their meals are all named after movie and TV show references. Can you guess them all? I'll start you off; Art Vandelay was an alias used by George on Seinfeld. He was an architect, and strangely also in the import/export business. :)

We went there yesterday, i usually just pass by and not think anything of it, even though its been there forever. BIg mistake, i wish i woulda eaten there sooner. The food was SO GOOD, and SO filling and it is very resonable! I got there Chicken rice bowl and a friend and i shared their Queso and chips, completely delish honestly their chips remind me of Chili's but cheaper :). what surprised me was the owner was working behind the counter and even came to our table to see how the food was. I will definately return. I will never eat at any of the other places in Pearlridge. Finally found a place that is worth every penny!

Food: Pretty good; burritos are good; they have a decent selection of toppings, such as chicken, beef, etc. You can also choose your "veggies", like lettuce, tomato, etc. Burritos are around $6-$8, which isn't bad, considering they are HUGE! All burritos come with free chips, and there is a salsa bar by the soda machine with usually 3-4 different salsas. I usually get the "Joey Bag of Doughnuts", which is a burrito- you choose the meat and veggies. Last time I went I got a side of queso, and by the time I walked to the booth to eat, the queso had a "film" over the top of it...gross! Probably won't order the queso again. Customer Service: ZERO if I could! The staff here acts like you are bothering them to order. Uh, I worked in the food industry for 5 years; of course everyone has bad days, but I've been to this location numerous times and the staff has been rude EVERYTIME. It makes the food not even worth it to come back.

This place is the shizznizz.... We discover tthis months ago when we went to Pearlridge about to roam around the mall and saw this place. We love this place. My son likes their mini master piece. My husband and i would always order billy barrou.

first time and i was sold... usually love going to bc burrito but since that's a long way to go just for a burrito moe's will do. got a carnitas burrito and boy was that a lot. ended up being dinner and a late night snack for me. great idea to have a side bar with unlimited toppings and free chips and salsa... next i wanna try the nachos...

The food is good, price Is reasonable, service is okay, some of their employee's could be a little more friendlier. Kind of sucks when you walk into a place they say welcome and then their faces frown at you while you place your orders. They only have flour tortillas, chips are good, steak was good, chicken was okay, liked the salsa.... it's better than Taco Bell...

  • Janet L.

Hubby and I came here for lunch after doing some business at the satellite city hall. I've been here many times because I love the nachos but it was my hubby's first time and he didn't know what to order. So he ordered taco's and we both felt rushed, esp my hubby because it was his first time ordering from there and they barely helped him and they had that face as if he was holding up the line. No one was in line. Anyways, I always felt rushed in the past but since I love eating their nachos I come back for more and also the fact that there's military discount, it aint much but I love coming here if I'm craving their nachos DESPITE their service is, which is HORRENDOUS!!

First I would like to say I'm from CA, where mexican food is unmatched unless your IN MEXICO! The burritos @ Moe's are pretty good! The steak is best, but the carnitas is legit as well. I always ask for fresh cut jalepeno! That combined with the red hot sauce.....FUEGO! Like Rick James and Tina Marie! Comes with fresh homemade chips. I dig it and recomend if you are in Aiea/Pearl City looking for some tex-mex.

The food here is pretty good. The price is alright for the amount of food they give! They have everything from tacos, burritos, salads, fajitas, nachos, rice bowls, and quesadillas. It's kinda like a Subway where you pick your veggies. You can get beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions, sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado, cheese and whatever else you want. Some stuff are an extra charge like the sour cream. They have a variety of meats like steak, chicken, kalua pork, and ground beef. With every meal you get free chips and salsa. The chips are okay. Sometimes it's kinda stale, hard, or not crunchy. They keep it in a container so it also tastes almost like plastic? They have a salsa bar with a variety of salsas from mild to hot. I personally love the kalua pork. I always order a salad with kalua pork, with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions, sour cream, and chipotle ranch dressing. Sounds yuck, but its really good. ;) One thing about the salad I didn't like was the shell. Yeah its fresh, but its like I was eating oil. I don't know what it was, but all I could taste was oil. I think they don't let it sit so the oil can drain outta the shell. So it wasn't crispy? I don't know how to explain it, but it just tasted like i was eating oil, and not a shell. LOL! Anyway..... Sorry to say but the service here does suck. When you first enter they yell "welcome to Moe's!" I guess that's their version of "great customer service" After that while ordering I felt like I was being rushed. Their expression on their faces are like,"Uhm, I have better things to be doing than making your food." It didn't happen just once, every time I come here it's the same. My bf and I like the food, so that's why we keep coming back. There's a couple of TV's in here too. So if you come on football Sunday the game will most likely be on! They have discounts here for military, and mall employees. You just need to show your I.D

YUM! My husband and I absolutely love this place. Gotta love their "Welcome to Moe's." greeting. The food never fails to taste tremendously delicious. Service is great and quick plus they offer a military discount. My husband loves the home wrecker burrito and I love the salads and chicken bowl! Once you try this place you will be addicted!

  • Seth H.

This time 3 stars means the place is good but not great. Place to go for a heathier fast food alternative than your Taco Bell, place were you can have it your way like the old Burger King jingle. All the add ons look fresh and I think most will come with your burrito with out having to pay more, saw some grilled onions that may have been for another dish that looked good but I didn't ask. Had the meal so that ends up coming with chips and a drink, get to choose either guacamole or queso.

    (3)
  • Bill K.

What happened! This place used to put on a lot of condiments, now they're really skimpy with everything that goes on the burritos. The guy that works there is really hard to understand.

    (2)
  • Hanna M.

It's average mexican food - nothing you can't make very easily at home. The salsas are tasty. They dont accept coupons but do accept military IDs for discounts.

    (3)
  • Maxine M.

When you walk through the door of this establishment you're greeted by a warm "Welcome to Moe's!" Nice gesture - not necessary for me though. I'm low key and get embarrassed by the noise. As a fast food place, they have damn good food in my opinion. Not the healthiest choices, but tasty. I suppose its okay to indulge every now and then. The style of the serving line is similar to that of Taco Del Mar where you start on one side of the line building your entrée from the choice of shell to the beans, to the meats, to the veggies and other toppings, all the way to the other end of the line where your pockets get thinner. My favorite order is the Overachiever Combo and I usually get kalua pork/pinto bean and sirloin steak/black bean tacos - with all the veggies AND heavy cream AND heavy guac... Moe's may appeal to the green/health conscious folks out there too. They promote sustainability, gluten-free, vegetarian, and low-calorie options to customers. This location gives a military discount of 10% daily and 20% Wednesday's after 5:00 pm.

  • Lilian N.

I agree with the previous reviews regarding the service. The workers need to at least say "hi" or "you're welcome" and stop making the customers feel rushed! Geez, coming from the restaurant biz myself I understand that time is money, but these guys belittle you for not deciding in a split second if you want fresh or pickled jalapenos in your burrito! One worker actually rolled his eyes at the gal next to him and as she snickered I looked up to catch them both in the act! *#!@ After a few times at this place I already had it down on what I wanted in my burrito, but my bf's first experience was horrible because he felt cheated on all the fixens he could've had if it wasn't for the rushed assembly-lined service. Overall the food is not bad and price for portion is reasonable. But we haven't gone back after my bf's first....maybe if we're in the area we'd consider trying it again.

I LOVE MOES!!!!! They never rip you off in portion, in fact they always give a little more :). Everyones really friendly there & for the quality the food is very inexpensive. The salsa is really tasty. I don't know about comparing this to taco bell because Moes is a really great place. Eat there :)

First time trying Moe's and I had their taco salad with chicken. I would have liked more chicken, and I didn't really care for the flavor and texture of their taco shell/bowl. However, I didn't mind too much because it came with chips. I ate those instead. I was fine with that. I liked the taste of their salad and salsa, and that it came with some chipotle sauce. Mixed it all together and it was a pretty tasty salad. I'll be back to try something new soon.

This place is pretty gross. More crappy Mexican (not sure if you can call it that) food. Let me start by saying that my hubby got sick off of a chicken burrito from here. Secondly, it tastes to me like taco bell quality food at double or triple the cost. They attempt to make mission style burritos but they use poor quality ingredients and you can taste it - everything just tasted off. They use fake taco bell style cheese that doesn't melt - the salsa doesn't taste fresh at all. The chips are alright - they are fried on-site and are super thin. I had high hopes for this joint and was heavily disappointed. Maui Taco is worlds better. You really are better off going to Taco Bell.

    (1)
  • William E.

I give this place 3 stars because it's not truly authentic Mexican (that's hard to find here in Hawaii) but they make up for it with fresh ingredients and quantity. I can easily make two meals out of one order! And there's plenty of discount opportunities if you just look... such as military ID, clipped coupons, and afternoon specials.

  • George T.

Friendly service, the prices are reasonable and the food is great! Can't go wrong w/ a Homewrecker burrito w/ Moe's spicy hard rock sauce. If I'm not eating one of these delicious burritos, I'm eating a steak & cheese quesadilla w/ sour cream. The steak is good! It's seasoned, tender, & juicy. Moe's is by far the best place to get fast, delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine.

For a few years on the East coast I made a weekly pilgrimage to Moe's Southwest Grill to get my Tex-Mex burrito fix. Moe's has always had fresh, flavorful, traditional ingredients and I appreciate their selection and variety of combinations. They compete in the same realm as Tacos del Mar, Qdoba, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, and Maui Taco's and, I think, are better than each of the others. I was stoked to find Moe's on my once-per-year visit to PearlRidge and will definitely be making the drive more frequently now! It's been six years since I was last at a Moe's and while their menu has expanded, their commitment to fresh, quality food with great service hasn't changed!

  • Mark I.

Do not waste your money here. This is not the same type of Moe's as on the mainland. We have gone several times here, giving the benefit of the doubt each time but so far, 3 strikes. Moe's is known for having stuffed burritos but the 3 times we went here, the staff barely put meat and hardly gave chips. We order the queso and the staff put one handful of chips. When we asked for more chips so we could have enough with the cheese, they looked shocked because the 10 pieces of chips would not be enough. My daughter's burrito had about 3 pieces of chicken. We'd rather drive the extra 20 minutes and go to Wahoo's at Ward. They know how to keep their customers satisfied.

We went for a quick bite toward the end of the day since the mall was closing already, everyone was closing by 6pm. I would have given this place 3 stars but the guy behind the counter knocked over a wide metal spatula and it fell to the floor with a loud clang, instead of washing it right away, he put it back on the grill area. YUCK!!! So the next one who flips a quesidilla will have the crap on the floor to the food?! My hard shell taco was good, the burrito built it yourself was good too. Thank goodness the food was already prepared and the woman just built it on the counter like Subway's. There is salsa to the right of the fountain drinks which we liked- mild, medium and hot! There were a bowl of lemons also for ice tea, love the refills. The food tasted fresh, I was worried about the spatula even though I didn't order the quesidillas or what ever they had to grill or flip over on the hot grill. Wished they had shrimp and guacamole though, no shrimp on menu and I didn't see any guacamole. They do advertise using fresh ingredients and grass fed steak and no hormones. Don't order the nachos though, it comes with free tortilla chips, kind of over chipped out. I would try this place again, hoping the spatula turner was washed!

We were starving and this was the first food place we saw when we walked into Pearlridge Center. Lucky them. The food names are hilarious. I can;t even remember what I got. But it was a burrito with black beans, rice, tomatoes, lettuce, and tofu. I thought it would be some shrimpy little thing but they seriously crammed everything in there. It took me awhile to finish that monster. But I guess it didn't help that I used the spiciest salsa they had (which believe me, was SPICY, i recommend a drink) It comes with chips btw.

Friendly staff. Awesome food! You get so much more than any other fast food type place for the same price. It's definitely the place to go if you are HUNGRY and need your meal to hold you over for a while.. Oh and they offer a military discount so even better!

i love this place! yes, I know it's a fast food mexican place but its much better than taco bell to me. its made to order and I always leave stuffed with no room for anything. i always get the steak and the other half always gets chicken. I've tried the tofu once but didn't care for it. i think the tofu was seasoned with spices? just not for me. i love how you can get whatever you want in your order and can see it being made in the process. fresh veggies...love the cucumbers & fresh jalapeno's & cilantro! i see that other yelp reviews complained about the workers but its a fast food place, what do you expect?

Coming from Southern California where Mexican and "Tex-Mex" food are basically a way of life, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the food here at Moe's in Aiea. It's definitely not authentic Mexican food, but what can you expect when you're 2000 miles away. Also the staff here is fabulous. I placed 25 orders and they were amazing - labeling all the meals, double checking that everything was correct and getting them out in a timely manner even though I was picking up right during the lunch rush. I'm going to try catering from them next, but I expect it to be a success as well!

I put up with horrible service & bad attitude from employees because the food was hot, toppings were abundant & fresh, and burritos were fat. Now the Owner has gotten really tight with salsa & toppings. I ordered a side of chips & got maybe a third of what they used to give. I had to argue with the owner for an extra salsa because he was gonna charge me for more than 5 when I ordered 4 entrees & 1 child's meal. it's not worth the price any more, the food isn't as fresh or hot, & the queso had a "skin" coverging by the time we got to the table. Needless to say, we aren't eating here no 'moe.

Pretty good burritos, with lots of toppings. Customer service isn't always the best, but hey, I come for the burritos not to talk to the staff... My first experience I really didn't enjoy my burrito, but a few months later I gave it a second chance, and must have picked the right toppings, as it was much improved. Overall a pretty good meal for a reasonable price!

Moe's has just opened up at Pearlridge and we've been getting a lot of friendly reminders about it in the mail so we finally decided to give it a try. It's a fast food place with counter service. It was packed when we went (probably because it was Monday night and kids eat for $1 and get balloon hats/animals/etc. from the staff). The selection of items they make is limited but they have fun names like "Ugly Naked Guy" and "Sherman Klump." We stood in line for a while and I personally felt that the line was not long enough to warrant a wait that long but I think the staff is still in training mode because it is so new. I ordered the Triple Lindy burrito which comes with choice of pinto or black beans, rice, choice of protein (ground beef, steak, chicken, tofu, or fish), shredded cheese, salsa, and guacamole. I got mine with pinto beans and chicken and I thought it tasted better than it looked. They stuff these burritos to the MAX and they could hardly close the tortilla, ripping it. It looked like a big ball when they were done with it and with only two burritos in the bag it mustve weighed 4lbs! I have to say the food was not as bad as I expected, but you can expect the typical fast food flavor from them.

Love to eat here. Ceso is awesome when you are hungry. At least they are better than Taco Bell.

Okay, I do agree with the previous reviews about the customer service. They USED to do the big WELCOME TO MOE'S! It was pretty nice to have such a nice welcome, I felt like the old Cheer's reruns. And the employees don't seem to be as psyched to be there as they used to be, which is disappointing since it used to add to the ambiance. Anyway, I still enjoy the fresh burritos and chips and salsa. It is still fresh and delicious, I do agree you better know what you want because the employees have no patience for those who don't know what to order and if I hadn't been here before I'd be put off by their attitudes as they wait for you to decide. My daughter is really picky and she will only eat the salsa from there no where else. So, good food, we're there every week and know what we want with what toppings, so I think they do know us and so we probably get treated better than most. I'd recommend going with all this in mind and maybe if enough people Yelp someone will see this and shape up the employees.

Never knew about this place till my boyfriend said let's eat there. Now this is Hawaii so I'm not expecting a good Mexican ANYTHING here but as I watched them cram everything in this Tortilla till it looked as tho it was going to explode I was excited to try. The salsa not really hot ... But this is HAWAII it's nothing like I've had in Vegas or new Mexico but for the price and being is HAWAII this place is amAzing!!!!!!

I had the worst customer service here! I used to work at Pearlridge when Moe's first opened. They were very welcoming back then. When I went there recently, there were 2 girls working and one employee eating right next to the register. They weren't busy at all but still managed to be rude. When I got to the register, the girl mumbled out my total. I said "sorry?" and she mumbled it out again. No asking if you're a mall employee, military, or wanting to order a drink. I gave her my money and she walked away. I didn't get any receipt so I didn't know if she was finished with the transaction. I asked the guy eating if they give receipts and he said "we do", and called the girl back, she yelled "what" and he said I needed my receipt she angrily walked to the register and pushed a button, walked away and said "it's gonna be awhile" and yelled at the other girl like I was inconveniencing her (even though she didn't even do her job!) I just said forget it and left. I used to enjoy Moe's but they've been skimping on the food, and the customer service has gone downhill. I hope management does some rehiring.

Never again. I don't know if its because I've experienced El Mariachi's heavenly dishes or what, but I will never go to this place again. When I ordered, after repeating it multiple times and trying to correct them, they didn't get my order right. They didn't even acknowledge their mistake and they just pissed me off. Then to make matters worse, it sucked! Horrible mexican food, if you can call it that. I'd rather go to Taco Del Mar (and the only thing there I think is good is their rice.) I say no and if you want to get great mexican. go to El Mariachi 2 across Starbucks and Jamba Juice aiea.

Seems like they have gotten very skimpy with the ingredients, even if you ask for extra. This is to include the chips!!! Overall our meal was very good but there was hardly any meat or beans in either burrito!!

Moe's is actually pretty dang good. Comparable to chipotle. They have fresh made salsa as well. If you order a burrito, it comes with fried tortilla chips which taste amazing, especially if you squeeze a lemon over them!

  • Kelly G.

At around $8 for one of their bigger burritos, Moe's was a decent place for a late lunch after some mall walking. Its basically your Taco Del Mar, just different name. Upfront and center they show that they have military discount! 20% on Tuesdays? and 10% rest of the time. Unfortunately, I didn't let them know I had an ID and she refused to swipe the transaction again. sigh.

  • Cy K.

What happened! This place used to put on a lot of condiments, now they're really skimpy with everything that goes on the burritos. The guy that works there is really hard to understand.

It's average mexican food - nothing you can't make very easily at home. The salsas are tasty. They dont accept coupons but do accept military IDs for discounts.

    (4)
  • Tiffany Y.

Good Stuff. I use to practically drink their hot sauces from the salsa bar. The green stuff is money I tell ya. Anyways my opinion is the salsas make it good whether you go for a bag of chips (waiting for pay day) or you splurge on that burrito.

I LOVE MOES!!!!! They never rip you off in portion, in fact they always give a little more :). Everyones really friendly there & for the quality the food is very inexpensive. The salsa is really tasty. I don't know about comparing this to taco bell because Moes is a really great place. Eat there :)

If your looking for a mexican fast food moe's is the way to go and way healthier than Taco Bell

They really need to clean their chairs and booths! The customer service has really gone downhill as well.

Enjoy.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
