This is my favorite Mexican restaurant right now. The staff is very friendly. The food is great! The mango margarita is amazing! My favorite food items are the vegetarian quesadillas and the shrimp nachos! I come to this place at least once a week.

I've been to Eduardo's twice over a period of a few years, and it was excellent both times. Food is hot, service is friendly and prompt, prices are very reasonable. I don't understand the negative reviews, but I did notice that there were few customers both times I was there (lunchtime both times). I found the food to be above average for American Tex-Mex fare. Based on my two visits, I recommend Eduardo's if you're traveling through Atlanta on I-285 on the east side of the city.

The Chile Poblanos are served with a GREAT Chipotle sauce. YUMMY shit!

I failed to find the love that others have found in this place. The customer service was decent & the food not so bad but this place feels old & not date-friendly if you ask me. A quick pop in to pick up something is fine which is what I did but I don't know if I'd want to sit and stay awhile. All in all it was OK, but I still have yet to find a really good Mexican place in this area.

Standard Mexican fare that serves as more of a neighborhood joint than a destination. This side of town is severely lacking in decent Mexican food but ill choose Eduardo's over the always busy but disgustingly bad Monterrey a block away any day. Service is always friendly and there are a few stand outs like the charro bean soup, grilled steak, chicken soup, & Carne Asada. Not every dish is covered with the obligatory melted cheese. Many of the dishes instead come with queso fresco or Mexican fresh cheese which I much more prefer with it's fresh slightly salty taste... similar to feta.

I would give them 4.5 stars if I could - the rice is of the freeze dried variety, but other than that, the food is incredible and you will find Eduardo himself manning the grill more often than not. I love this place - it is my favorite stop for Mexican food in the north Decatur area. the steak is really high quality and cooked perfectly, great sear and seasoning. I've also tried the shrimp, which are excellent! don't go to the other mexican shops in the area, save your pesos for the real grub at Eduardos

Good food, and the owners are really nice people.

It's officially "our mexican place" (after the 1st visit!), and we've vowed to go 1x week. Thank you Yelpers for the great reviews, you saved us from going to Monterrey's! We had (dinner) steak al carbon, enchiladas, beans and queso dip for $27 including tip! The food was outstanding! Go!

People are too critical. This place is really clean, staff are very nice. Food is fine.

Great, fresh food with attentive service. Full bar including a great selection of margaritas. I had the burrito grande with chicken and "extra hot" sauce. Super. Tucked into a strip mall and worth finding it.

Absolutely, positively LOVE this place! They have fresh authentic Mexican food, great margaritas (that's extremely important), and phenomenal service! I don't think that 15inutes have ever passed without 2 different people asking us how everything was or if they could get us anything else. And to top it off they have great drink specials! They have my business for life

Hadn't been over here in a while. I wasn't super starved and just got the chicken enchiladas (3 enchiladas, no rice or beans). They were quite tasty. Dad got some double burrito plate that had a huge amount of food. Brother got the fish tacos. Daughter got the kids burrito plate (a steal at 3.50). Good, solid food with friendly service. I don't think the menu or prices have changes since they opened. By 7-7:30, the place was doing good business. We eat Mexican all over town and my only beef with Eduardos is that they use the cheap ground beef in many things, no shredded beef, no lengua, machaca, adobada or other 'authentic' Mexican meats. It's not a gigantic menu, but the things I've had have been consistently really good. 1/7/13: Downgraded to 3 stars. We were last here probably 10-12 months ago, we ordered two of the 'fancier' things on the menu, and the chicken in wife's dish was pounded to about 1/5 inch thickness, so it initially looked like a substantial meal, but wasn't really, and I got a dish with shrimp, which are all smallish and taste 'pre brined/pre cooked'. I'm fine with the frozen, uncooked shrimp that you can get at any grocery store (which cook up really tasty), but these tasted cheaper and pre-cooked. We may get back over here again. It's 'ok', I'd definitely still go here before El Toro or Monterrey.

The only redeeming part of our dinner was the salsa and cheese dip. Everything else tasted fresh off a Sysco Truck. I could have sworn the refried beans were Old El Paso. The echilada sauce was watery and lacking any sort of actual flavor. The tamale was just a pile of flavorless mush. We should have stayed with our standby of Los Hermanos.

Not a destination place (and please don't make it one, we like not waiting), but good Mexican food with pleasant staff and a variety of options. There are a few too many TVs for me, but they're muted and you won't miss a game if you eat there. We've tried the fajitas and fish tacos on about 4 visits; everything tastes fresh and is a good value for the price. The two of us can't finish one shared entree. As pointed out, the rice is sticky, and the black beans are really salty, but they make their salsa fresca (though not the sauce they serve with the free chips). A good in-the-neighborhood place. And, yes, better than Monterrey. I also have to put in a plug for the great Thai restaurant directly around the corner in the shopping center. Northlake Thai is delicious (if pricey for some items), and underutilized. For some reason the Red Lobster in the parking lot with both of these places is always packed. Ugh.

The salsa served with the chips were good with a slight kick. The chicken enchilada verde was a slight disappointment. There was too much salsa verde which made the tortilla more than soggy. Also, I like cilantro but again there was too much. But I'll say my waitress was great and the food came out fast.

Been going here for years. Friendly service and great food. Love the burrito bandera. They now have an extra room that is good for groups. Give this place a try, yum!

Oh, Eduardo's. This looks like a crappy Mexican place next to a Kroger but it turns out Eduardo's is really good. Eduardo is the name of the actual chef, which is usually a good sign. It is your basic standard Mexican fare but the quality of the ingredients is pretty good. I usually get the steak products, as the quality of the meat is pretty good and it is cooked correctly. The beans and rice are also good. They are close to Monterrey which is always busy and we always laugh at the suckers going there for their crappy food when Eduardo's is a minute down the road and so much better. Prices are reasonable and the service has always been pretty good. Eduardo es el hombre.

We used to like this place, but the service, atmosphere, and quality have fallen I feel.

One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been too! Their food is the worst, and the customer service is just as awful. After I disputed the food, and paid for my drink, they added the food charge anyway (after I swiped my card and signed the ticket, they went and adjusted the amount a day later!!!!). Stay way from this place if you want authentic Mexican food. Chipotle is a better choice for Mexican... Stay way!!!!!

Friendly staff, FAST service, great food at a good price. What more could you want? I recommend it!

Good quantity and somehow pricing has becomed like Chinese food places ! Menu are homogeneous and pricing of dinner and lunch has hovered around 8-9 bucks !! Place is small but cozy stopped in after yelping which had become a mantra , Food is good veggi persons have varieties Also fajitas ordered by other table was automatically appetizing. Must for Tucker GA visitors

Top level! Interesting menu with original dishes. Great service - delicious!

I'm tempted to give a lower star rating just to keep the crowds away. This place is great. They always get the order right, service is entertaining and fast. Food is well prepared and seemingly fresh.

Awesome Mexican food! Good prices, waiter was entertaining and fast! Great vegetarian options. Definitely will be coming back.

We've been looking for a go-to Mexican restaurant in our new neighborhood and I think we've finally found it. My test is always the chile relleno - Eduardo's plump, meaty, cheesy, and deep-fried chile was delicious! For my partner, the test is the tacos al carbon - again, Eduardo's delivered with delicious steak! Also, the service was excellent (and the server was very friendly), and the beer glasses were super-chilled! We will be back!

I just made my first visit, and will definitely be back. The service was great, as were the prices. My vegetarian quesadilla was the best I have ever had. It was loaded with broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, green pepper, and onions. They were cooked well, and seasoned deliciously. Also, the cheese was minimal, which I liked. It all came together so yummily, with the veggies the appropriate star of the show. The hubs enjoyed his steak burrito dish. I am already craving another 'dilla as I write this review.

Good prices, food is good and its never too crowded. I like this place better than monterreys. Plenty of parking. Its a nice family mexican joint.

Yummy and reasonably priced. Good amount of food for the price. The drinks are weak and the salsa needs a little help. Service is good but when its busy service is definitely on the slow side.

We've always been a huge fan of Monterrey down LaVista but lately we have been eating at Eduardo's more and more. I think the food is just a slight cut above Monterrey for the same price. And unlike Monterrey, Eduardo's isn't crowded most nights. But it's slowly gaining customers. I've never had a problem with service - my wife is notorious for adjusting her order "The salad but leave out the cheeze and add more mushrooms and make sure the onions are cooked really well and . . . . ." But the waiters always just smile and get her order right every time.

We love their food! Eduardo's is our go to Mexican restaurant. Great food and service with excellent prices! Try their house made habenero Hot sauce, it's incredible!

I've been to all the Mexican joints in Tucker, and this is my favorite. Much better than the other one nearby. I love the fresh salsa, and their guacamole is delish.

I always get takeout from here. Mostly because of the convenience of the location. My go to is chicken&steak fajitas. There are so many good Mexican options in ATL that I must say this place only gets my business because of location. I really hate the beans they serve with the fajitas so i always specifically order re-fried instead. There is nothing special about the fajitas. If I weren't being lazy, I could do better myself for less money in my own kitchen. If I'm going out with friends and we want Mexican, we are hitting Buford Hwy.

Not the best sketchy Mexican I have had, but not the worst. I am a tamale lover, and the tamales here were sub par. The salsa was average and the chips were too thick. The sauce on the burrito soggified the tortilla and ruined it. The enchilada didn't have the right sauce on it... they were skimpy with the cheese... I really have nothing good or bad about this place. It was very average. I will not go back, there are so many choices that I like better.

Definitely better than Monterrey's up the road. Staff was very friendly. Prices and food were both good. I will be going back.

Foods very well portioned and authentic....but the staff makes you really feel at home. Truly a blessing to see smiling faces.

First time in today by chance, ordered take out, this place is awesome! Food was great and fresh, will definitely make this our new Mexican restaurant, much better than the neighbors 'next door'. Thanks Axel!

I love this spot. I've been here before, but have found a new appreciation for it. Service is prompt. The food portions are great for the price. It looks like a hole in the wall, but really it's just a nice tucked away spot.

Food was good. Sweet tea was up to par. Service a little slow, but it was good. Would definitely go back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
