This is our first time back in a while. We were pleasantly surprised at the additions to the menu since out last visit. The "sip and snack" menu had some great drinks on it and the prices were amazing! We loved everything we ordered which was an appetizer trio that had coconut shrimp, seared AHI and crab stack. Everything was great. For my entree I got the grilled chicken and bottomless shrimp. My only negative was it took a long time to receive my additional orders of shrimp. :-( Our waiter Milo was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though it seemed like he was waiting 20 tables by himself. Other than that we had a great dinner. Outback may make it on our frequent visit list. We will be back soon.

First point of issue: No WiFi! Come on, people! We are in the 21st century where everyone has a smartphone with lots of data usage. Let the customer talk about how good your restaurant is. Second issue: getting food to table took forever, even with it being slow. Less than 10 customers in the entire place. My order of 2 chicken tacos took 25 minutes! On the other hand, the food was awesome. Chicken tacos - especially the sauce - were great. Blooming onion was better than expected. The waitress made sure to keep my drink refilled constantly. Overall: Good, just not for lunch. Come back for dinner and enjoy!

I've been to many Outback locations, and to this one twice. The first time I came, everything was great: food was hot and cooked correctly, the service was stellar, and all was well. When we came back in last night, something seemed different and we soon figured out what it was: this location got a new manager. Apparently, this manager came from another large restaurant chain, but one that doesn't serve the same type of food that Outback does. So, when this manager brought kitchen employees from his previous establishment, they had to learn how to cook everything the Outback way. I think they still have some learning curves to overcome; the whole night felt really slow, but we were there for about an hour or hour and a half. Once the drinks were fixed and the food started coming, everything felt more normal. We sat in the bar area, in the last booth closest to the kitchen entrance. It didn't take long for boyfriend to get annoyed with the staff yelling, "Corner!" From what we were told, there was an incident where someone came around the corner too fast and collided with another server and dropped over $100 in food. So, instead of installing those convex parking deck mirrors ("the kitchen is ugly and they don't want patrons to see it"), the staff yells, "Corner!" when they're coming around one of the two corners to enter/exit the kitchen. It got old really fast. We started off with drinks: boyfriend had a moonshine drink (in a faux Mason jar that had the Outback logo), I wanted a blood orange 'rita. A good while after I ordered it, maybe 10 minutes or so, the bartender comes over and tells us that they're out of the blood orange mix and I need to pick a new drink. I don't know why it took her so long to tell me that, unless she was looking for the mix. The bar wasn't super busy that evening. After looking over the menu, I settled on the blackberry mojito that arrived maybe 10-15 minutes later. It was good, but not what I wanted. Oh well, hopefully next time. The manager offered to buy me one the next day when the mix was supposed to be delivered, but I couldn't make it up from Midtown where I work. For entrees, I got the Outback Special with a sweet potato and garden salad. Boyfriend got the prime rib with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. Our salads came out pretty quickly (we had been working on the complimentary bread so I really don't remember how long that was; I think before the drinks). Salad was good, as far as salad goes: fresh, good flavor, right amount of dressing (not sure what else to say!). And, a few minutes later, the kitchen sent out another set of salads, which we ended up keeping because they would have ended up in the trash. Our entrees came out and looked great: my potato was really hot, and I loved how the butter melted quickly! And the brown sugar caramelized really well, too. My steak was more room temperature than hot, like it was ready before the potato was. And I wish I had gotten the seasoning instead of the wood fire prep; it didn't have a lot of flavor and required A1. While we were eating, the manager came to talk to us about our experience, and I feel like my steak got super cold while I was talking to him. And the second half wasn't as enjoyable as the first. Not his fault though: during this conversation, I told him about how i didn't get my blood orange 'rita, and he later comped my mojito for me! Nice gesture, and great customer service! Boyfriend liked his: cooked properly (more rare than I would like it), and plenty leftover for steak and eggs for breakfast. They kitchen was really skimpy on the bacon for his potato though. The food runner generously brought out an extra side for him that had more than enough for his potato. I added some to my bonus salad and still had leftovers. At some point, our server told the manager about the "CORNER!" thing, and the manager came back a second time for us to explain how that was annoying it was, but we didn't. Instead, he just informed us he would take 15% off our bill (in addition to the free drink) for the nuisance. At least that's what our server told us later. Finally, I have to give major props to our server for putting up with us (read: my boyfriend talking her ear off all night about alternate "CORNER!" solutions). She was patient with a very pleasant attitude and did everything she could to make us happy. I didn't catch her name, but I hope she's my server next time I go!

We have been to this outback several times and it's always been good food but, the past 2 times we have been here the food has been not quit up to par. The blooming onion is always great and cooked perfectly as expected but, the steak lacked flavor and had a sour vinegary taste. The new crab and avocado appitizer was not good and I would not recommend it to anyone. Their lobster tacos were ok. We expected a lot more from a chain restaurant. Our waitresses have always been great and service made the dining experience great!

We went to dinner and right off the bat we felt welcome. Our hostess was sweet, and our server attentive. Our food was out in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy they where, and it all was delicious. The coconut shrimp was to die for! And the key lime pie melts in your mouth! We noticed a manager yelling at the hosts, which made us feel a little uncomfortable, but thats the only bad thing I have to say. Especially for a chain restaurant, it was a fantastic experience.

Even though it is a chain restaurant, the food is always good. This was our first time at this location, and it didn't disappoint. The service was good and the wait staff was friendly. I tried the new Parmesan crusted chicken- a new favorite! Glad to find a good restaurant in our new area!

We were a party of five. Our server was Morgan, she was terrific. When we were seated the music was quite loud, nice music but loud. The loudness made it difficult to hear each other and difficult for the server as well. We asked Morgan if the sound could be lowered, she spoke with the manager, I think she said Steve. A few minutes later the music was softer and pleasurable in the background. Thank you Morgan and the manager, for turning down the music. Doing that small change made our time there very enjoyable. Also, the food was outstanding

What a terrible dinner. The coconut shrimp were giant burned wads of coconut mush. The "premium" salad made from was wilted iceberg. The whole place was strange. Reminded me of a restaurant that should be attached to a gas station.

Food is always awesome here. The wait staff is soooo friendly. Hostess is great. I didn't like my first table, so she moved me without asking questions. The bar booths are my favorite seats personally. Drinks are reasonable as well.

We arrived in town to visit the kids after some time out of the country and a steak at the Outback sounded perfect. This place lives up to the Outback reputation. The wait for a table was the usual on a Friday night. Our Outback Special steaks were perfectly prepared, tender and flavorful. The staff was great and the manager made the rounds, checking at each table. My husband and I were surprised at the bad reviews of this particular Outback but went with the daughter and grandkids anyway. I'm glad we weren't swayed by the whiners.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUTBACK?!?!?!?! They used to be the shiznit but now look at what they've done! They've raised the prices way too high, took a lot of their great recipes off the menu, hired unfriendly waiters, and cannot cook their food properly, closing locations, but making the ones that are still open look like a high end suite and tie steak joint?!?! Very displeased with these guys.. Not only this location, but Outback restaurants in general. This was always a family favorite growing up and now it seems like we have to go only on special occasions since the prices have gone up so much. I remember when Alice Springs chicken (ultimate favorite dish) was only $11.25! Either way, I hope they'll come back but scared their all going to eventually close down since they have gone in the wrong direction. They still have two of our favorite dishes but I'm sure those will go too, or be raised another $1 within the next 6 months. Such a shame! :(

A quality restaurant. I came here with my parents and had a wonderful experience with my parents. Good food, great service.

It's a franchise. What can you expect. Service was average... As was the food. Didn't split our meal in the kitchen or bring an extra plate. We had to use an appetizer plate. On the plus side, steamed brocillie wasn't over cooked as one expects at a franchise. Server also asked about desert just as we started our main. Felt a little like the we're flipping tables.

I love this location. The service is great and so is the food. The last time I was there was a busy Friday night. They called our party on time, got food out to us within a short amount of time, and everything tasted great.

This place was a MADHOUSE tonight. They told us 1 1/2 hour wait upon arrival, but we grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink and before they were gone a booth opened up in the bar area. We had two great member of the wait staff helping us, Kelsey and Thomas I believe. We really didn't have to wait for anything other than my second Bloody Mary, and that was the bars issue. Actually the bar is the only complaint that I have. My Bloody Mary wasn't as good as usual, the lime and olives were not in the drink, and the garish and lime can really add to the flavor. They amount of alcohol was not consistent, the first drink was weak, and the second was strong to the point of being hard to drink. Overall I was happy with my experience and we will return. I also got the duchess on my check in! Awesome.

Let me first start by saying my family and I went after the lunch rush (maybe 8-10 customer tables at best). There was ample servers to assist the customers flow. We always order a side item to give my child something to eat. We usually ask for a table away from other customers just in case my child is a bit fussy. Arrived and immediately ordered something for my child to eat so I could enjoy my meal later. The side item took 15 minutes to arrive (we got a side salad before the side). When I questioned why the side was luke warm, the server stopped me (literally told me to stop) expressing my displeasure politely and said she would get the manger. The manager came out with an excuse about "liability since the side item was for a child". REALLY??? I am so disappointed! I won't be back! My food was also luke warm (like it had been sitting waiting for table service but forgotten). I could have taken my money to another restaurant, gotten better service and better food. When will managers learn? Families are customers too! It doesn't feel good having your concerns dismissed!

I really like the food at Outback, so far as chain restaurant food goes. This location, though, is horrifyingly bad. It used to be great, but started going down hill about a year ago, and has gotten progressively worse. Went in for lunch with my husband today and the service was just abysmal. It was not crowded, and the server was not overworked. We got there at 1:15, and at 2:35 were still waiting for our food. No explanation, and inattentive service from the waiter. The manager finally came over and apologized, about 10 minutes after we asked to speak to her. She did take care of our lunch, which was the right thing to do, but it just isn't worth my time to hang out for nearly two hours to eat my lunch. Inexcusable. On a brighter note, the service at the bar is typically much better, so if I have a craving I can always still sit there.

I love Outback Steakhouse! And this location is always my go-to place when I'm in dire need of some delicious steak and mashed potatoes! They even have a drive through take-out! I go here probably 2-3 times a month. The food is always great and the service is always fast and friendly.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and stopped in for dinner. We frequent Outback back in Charlotte quite often and the quality is hit or miss. However, this location did not disappoint. The service was excellent! We agreed this was the best meal we had ever had at any Outback. Both my sirloin and my friend's ribeye were perfect, the salads and bread were fresh and the potatoes were perfect! The Orange Rita's were delicious, actually one of the best drinks we've had in any restaurant. Strongly recommend this location in Kennesaw!

Over an hour for lunch soups and salad. My son was starving. Thank God they had some bread. Worst experience!

Our server worked extremely hard and was the only redeeming part of our visit. They were clearly understaffed and while I would hope our experience was an exception this is the third visit where this happened. Getting seated took well over 30 minutes. Getting drinks took another 15 minutes. They we're out of baked potatoes of all things. Also they were out of many steaks. Appetizer came out rather quick but when our prime rib showed up it was cold like it had not been kept warm after they prepared it. They offered to throw it on the grill and when it came back out our medium prime rib was now way over done. The lobster tail was entirely too salty and overcooked. Each time we have tried this location it's always the same excuse that their kitchen is running behind. Management needs to fix it.

My boyfriend and I were there for almost 2 hours. We waited a long time to receive our drinks. We recieved our soups 20 minutes apart and the rest of our food took just way too long. At first, I didn't want to blame the server, she was very busy with multiple tables and constantly moving. But then when everything slowed down, she only had 3 tables (our table included) and we waited 30 minutes after we finished eating for the bill to be delivered. Our server was just talking to customers about 2nd & Charles and her crazy Baptist father. Okay. We've been ready to leave. Crappy tip for you.

I like the prime rib at outback and I also like the chop salad. So that's what I ordered last night. When they brought me the chop salad the bottom of the bowl is dirty so I sent it back. The silverware and knife were also dirty. They brought me another salad on a clean bowl. Then they brought my primary about on the dirty plate the bottom of the plate was dirty and greasy. That's just disgusting to me. I think I'm a call him later and complain to the manager.

I haven't been to Outback since they closed in Austell. My husband and I saw this ad for Steak or Chicken with unlimited Shrimp so we could not wait to have dinner there on Sunday. We decided to skip the steak and order the Chicken on the Barbie instead but when it came to ordering the Shrimp they informed us all they had was Shrimp Scampi. That was the first disappointment then after we ate we got home and ran to separate bathrooms for about 30 minutes. I was so sick off the food. I think it was the salad because my mother in law had exactly what we did but skipped the salad. I won't be going back to this location again.

I've always had great experiences at outback but tonight's dinner really turned me off for good. It began with a waiter who should find a new line of employment. He was in a huge rush from the get go but I'm not sure why because they weren't busy. After ordering calamari as an appetizer, we received a plate of cold over cooked "cardboard rings". We didn't eat it and sent it back. We waited FOREVER for our entrees. The next time we saw the waiter was when he brought out our entrees but before we got them he tried to give them to the table beside ours. Needless to say he was not with it. After reminding him that it was our food, we were given 2 of the driest ribeyes we've ever had and The sides were barely warm. This was some of the worst food I've ever purchased. I do not recommend this place. RUN the other direction DON'T waste your hard earned money here.

We haven't eaten at outback In years and decided on this dreary rainy day. Our staff member was Kaytie. She brought sunshine with her. I had the soup ( tortilla chicken ) and salad. She was always there the minute our drinks or soup was empty. Even with an 86 grade. It was good.

The food was perfectly prepared. From the slight spice in the blooming onion to the savory steak. I highly recommend this place.

I know this is a chain steakhouse but man I was so disappointed tonight. We ordered the grilled shrimp app and they we tiny and limp. They had a good flavor but the texture was off. My wide ordered the sirloin and it was very fatty and full of sinew. I ordered the porterhouse pork chop. The first one was so over cooked I had a hard time cutting into it. It was replaced quickly with another and the manager was very apologetic, but 1/2 of it was still raw. The bread was good and our server Laura G was fantastic. Overall I was disappointed.

I can't give this place a higher review than 2 due to the STENCH from the kitchen. The food was good, service was fair, but that SMELL!! Ugh

I'm a little surprised at the 2+ star rating on this Outback. I get that this is a chain restaurant and very OTP, and maybe what I look for in a restaurant is different...I've always thought that once you have kids you just want to get in and out quickly and have something a little better than fast food. Kids meals with decent options are also a plus! My hubby and I have been to this location several times and have had good experiences. We almost always order steak, and they're always delivered to the table cooked to the temperature we ordered them. The coconut shrimp are one of my guilty pleasures! The kids mac-n-cheese is damn good! I also appreciate that the service has been friendly and efficient, and we rarely have to ask for anything. Only downside is there is usually a wait. Never tried the call ahead, so I can't vouch for that, but the hostesses are always bringing sample appetizers while you wait, and the patio has plenty of room to sit back, relax and have a beer all the while.

Honestly, I'm a little amused at the intimidation factor that arises from picking a place to take me to dinner. Somehow, friends seem to think schadenfreude hides behind my "no really, you pick" admonitions. They self-veto scores of delicious sounding restaurants because I have more "refined tastes." Apparently, they haven't seen my four star review of McDonald's... I'm actually really glad we ended up at this Outback, considering the other dining options that surround this mall. Yes, the Outback menu is the same everywhere you go, but the service here was really outstanding. Even though we had a 10 minute wait when we arrived around 9pm on a Saturday, there was plenty of seating around the hostess stand, and they brought around lots of free appetizer samples to keep our mouths busy while we waited. Once seated, our server T.R. was friendly, expedient, and understanding. He kept drinks refilled, and brought the courses of the meal out at the perfect pace. Even as we paid the check, he made sure to let us know that we could sit and talk for as long as we wanted. I'm glad he said this, because we did just that and I would have felt guilty. Instead, I was able to enjoy a really deep and thought-provoking conversation with a great friend; one that I will remember with great fondness every time I eat a bloomin' onion. To add to what was already a solid evening, thanks to the MyFitnessPal iPhone application, I know that my $9.99 steak dinner (house salad, 6oz classic filet, steamed broccoli) rang in at under 600 calories total. Knowing that my great evening was supported by both a caloric and monetary bargain, I feel safe to say that I am indeed a fan.

Tonight, this location offered best service it ever has, from friendly welcome to prompt and perfect waiter to food prep to friendly goodbye. Be sure to try mushroom sauce on steak. Delicious chicken flatbread starter was new to me. Keep it up, Outback!

First off, do not sit at the bar area for late lunch. The bartender is the only server and he/she can get into the weeds very quickly. We unfortunately did sit in this area. I do not blame the bartender. She was doing her best. Her fellow co-workers were no help to her whatsoever. They were standing in the back of the bar area and just chatting away. Now on to the food. We started with the crab-avocado stack. Not bad, needed to be seasoned and the chips were undercooked. I had the teriyaki steak and my wife had the sirloin. First off, the teriyaki steak is NOT filet. It is sirloin at best. Also, they are not medallions, but kabob scraps. The overall dish was awful. The steak was tough as leather, the peppers and onions were burnt. I had "garlic" mashed and green beans. There was no flavor of garlic and it tasted as if the mashed had been sitting in a steam well all day long. The green beans were on their last leg and I had to pick through to get some edible ones. Now on to the sirloin. Actually, decently flavorful yet tough. It was a tad bit over cooked which was the cause of the toughness. She had a side salad with the dish which was served with rotten greens. They did not pick through before serving the salad, and we picked through the black greens to make an edible salad. Final thoughts on the whole experience. The service was slow, but not to the fault of the bartender. She needed help and it was quite clear that there is no teamwork in the place. The food lacked in all aspects and I will definitely think twice about coming here again. Here is the kicker and the reason why this place did so poorly in my eyes. Towards the end of the meal, a young "manager" came by our table to do a table visit. He asked how everything was, and I responded..."It was alright". His response was..."Great, just what I like to hear"! My problem with this encounter was and is that as a restaurant manager, the only response that I would want to hear is..."Everything was great or excellent"! Alright is not acceptable in a restaurant. He either was not paying attention to what I said or that is how he feels. Either way, there is a problem. This is why my experience was "alright" rather than "GREAT"!!!!

My boyfriend and I met up with his parents at Outback on Sunday -- oh, what a gorgeous February day! We munched on the mandatory Bloomin' Onion while waiting for our entrees to arrive. What can I say about the Bloomin' Onion that hasn't already been oohed or aahed? The chipotle dipping sauce is creamy and sinfully bad; a hot Tabasco option would mix up this long-time staple. I'm pretty sure my entree was a special, as a large photo of 6 ounces of steak strips surrounded by marinated cherry tomatoes, chopped asparagus and a stack of fresh, sauteed spinach enjoyed prime real estate on a separate laminated menu. I enjoyed forking my steak through leftover splotches of the herb vinaigrette. I just didn't care for the overly oily and buttery "giant crouton" that shocked me from beneath the spinach. Nauseated by its wetness, I shoved the icky brick to the side. The Chocolate Thunder from Down Under met my sweet tooth quotient for the day, even when split amongst us four. Rich and topped with ice cream as well as whipped cream, the pecan brownie expanded the women's eyes on my graphic comic book tights.

SALT! Think SALTY. After that I would say that the food is non-descript. One of the steaks was overcooked for medium while the other one was perfect. Both were flavorless. The beans (haricot vert) were crunchy as was the broccholi. The green salad was a nice combination of vegetables but the dressings were salty, especially the caesar. The baby back ribs were tender and salty and came with french fries that were so salty they were difficult to eat. The house Chardonnay is okay... not bad. The cheese cake is not bad either. Prices were reasonable. I don't think we will return any time soon.

Always loved outback. Enjoyed every steak I have ever eaten here. The blooming onion and the sauce are wonderful. The drinks are good. This particular location seems to have good service and stay pretty busy.

I've used the call-ahead method 3 times here. Each time I've been told there would be an hour wait. I show up 50 mins later just to have to wait another hour as if I had never called. My suggestion, go on a Tuesday at 3pm... What a joke.

Not a fan of Outback. I've visited here a few times and it amazes me how difficult its for some cooks to make a medium-rare steak. If it wasn't for the bloomin' onion, it would get 1 star. The drinks are overpriced and so is the food for being basic. Great commercials, not so great restaurant.

Now that I'm able to semi eat what I want, my wife and I decided that after walking around Costco, we would go and get something to eat. We decided to go to Outback Steakhouse. We haven't been there in a while so off we went. We walked in and our hostess sat us immediately. She let us know the specials and also told us our server's name and her name. She said that if we needed her then she would be located at the hostess stand. We thought that was weird but...whatever. Our server came by and told us that they would be with us soon, she was training a new server. They came by, introduced themselves, asked if we saw the specials, took our drink order and asked if we would like an appetizer. Our server reintroduced herself and her trainee and then they went off. My side salad came and even tho I had said no cheese, it had cheese on it. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. Not too long after that, our food came. I had the petite sirloin with grilled shrimp and scallops over a bed of rice. My wife had the Tilapia, which she says was very spicy. My son had the wings and fries, which is what he normally gets no matter where we go. Cheese on salad aside, everything was very tasty and cooked just like we asked. Our servers were very attentive and polite. We got 2 sliced of carrot cake to go and I have had a piece since and it was excellent! All in all, service was good and polite, food was hot and correct, salad aside. As we were leaving, the hostess that sat us down, stopped what she was doing and went to hold the door for us. Everyone we came in contact with was very polite and friendly. We will go back more often if we are treated that way.
