After I wrote my initial review, I honestly never thought I'd return to Hunan. However, after catching wind that new management had come in and bought out the place, I reluctantly decided to give it another shot. Wow, what a difference new management can make. The atmosphere, decor, service, and food were all markedly better than the were during my first visit. The food was served hot and delicious; a stark contrast to the lukewarm chicken that tasted as though it had been sitting on a counter for an hour that I was served last time. I'll definitely be returning to Hunan Village on my next trip to Griffin.

Don't waste your money. Food was terrible - we threw ours out after 2 bites. Should have realized something was wrong when the restaurant was empty at 5 pm when we picked our order up.

I was looking for a Chinese restaurant in this area. Found this place on yelp and thought I'd take a chance. I've never ordered food for delivery without trying it first. Again, thought I'd take a chance. They were very pleasant on the phone. No on line menu, so I had to wing it. I ordered the broccoli chicken, shrimp fried rice, pot stickers (steamed dumplings), pepper steak, soup and spring rolls. Yea, I went overboard. When she gave my the total, I thought, it better be good. Well, I'm here to tell you, this is a good place for take out and delivery. The taste of all the food was better than I've had in a while. Delivery was quick. Food arrived warm. Price was reasonable/average. Bottom line, this is worth a try. You can't go wrong if your looking for Chinese food. Please let me know if this was helpful. I recommend.

I liked the food! The sushi was solid and my beef with broccoli was decent. My fiance got a steamed shrimp plate which looked to be well above average for that type of thing. If I'm looking for Chinese in Griffin this may be my go to place, but I am just not sure how much that is saying anymore. My favorite Chinese restaurant in McDonough simply isn't what it used to be, and I really find myself pining for some good Chinese these days. If you do go here get the food to go. The two people working spent the whole time talking fairly loudly while we were there. The ambiance was definitely... strange. The service was fine though. I just don't like being the only couple in a place and having someone working there talking the whole time. I'm sure there are better places to do that then the front of your restaurant. Anyway, I got the sushi appetizer. It was good. Not stand out sushi, but then again we are in Griffin. The beef with broccoli was probably Panda Express quality, and probably about that price. There was nothing wrong with my steamed rice. The star of the meal was the hot and sour soup which I positively loved! I would eat that again in a heart beat. They also give a giant bowl of those fried won-tons to go right along with it. I do mean giant. I'd go back get some stuff to go and munch on it somewhere else for sure. It isn't stand out Chinese by any means though.

This is the best little kept secret in Griffin, not sure if it's still there. But the Sushi is fresh, awesome and affordable. They serve bubble tea, something that is kinda hard to find. And FYI they deliver. I have never and I mean never found a Sushi place to deliver, but I'll be damn they do!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
