Chillin & Grillin

Okay this is simply based on my visits (well duh) and what I've had there. Today I split a rib sandwich and brisket sandwich with my coworker. First of all it is served on grilled Texas toast and after my first bite of the brisket sandwich, I literally inhaled the rest lol. You can't miss the smoke ring on the brisket at all and it was delicious. The ribs to my delight were seasoned perfectly, I didn't need the sauce, but I tried it just to taste both of them and they were great as well. Small family owned BBQ, like a lot of places in downtown Griffin, with a nice quaint setup. Go by and support and if they are consistently making BBQ this good, then they won't have any problems drawing customers back in for more. I would suggest that they do a little more promoting/marketing to help spread the word. I will definitely be back again. Also they deliver, so I know my job will be ordering out.
Wow... What a great find! Had the brisket sandwich special with cole slaw. Brisket was tender with good smokey flavor, but not too smokey. Really liked their hot BBQ sauce, just enough heat but not over powering the brisket. Brisket sauce was very tasty too. Prefect for dippin, and it's comes on Texas toast. Cole slaw was excellent, sweet but no too much, moist but not soggy really good flavor. Had a taste of their Mac n Cheese, creamy, smooth and just a bit crusty on top. Yum, I wanted more! Friendly folks to greet and serve you and a Cool old building adds to the whole experience! Defiantly give Chillin' & Grillin' a try!

My favorite quick, go- to meal...NO.6 Club On A Sub! SCRUMPTIOUS! There are mostly teens working in there, but they are very polite and professional!
Very clean restaurant and super friendly staff! Had our two large subs ready to go in under 10 minutes and they were delicious! Try the New York Steamer, you won't be disappointed! The pastrami tastes so good!
Great sub shop! Super clean, and nice employees. You'd almost never know you were in Griffin! I've always had a good experience here and would give it an A as far as sub shops go!

Best chicken sandwich in the world. Plus they are American owned and operated and a Christian owned company.
Love the 50's style! Always a friendly staff as all other CFA's. Consistent with food... but also with as many times as the cow comes out. I am terrified of those cows! Play and joke around with the kids, but not me. I'm nearly 6 feet tall, clearly not a kid lol
Awesome service , amazing food , even better personalities. I would've given 5 stars but I hate those cows so much. They are creepy. One was giving out free coupons and I wouldn't even go grab any. That's how serious it was. But besides that , truetts rocks!

Walking in the door and you feel like you stepped back in time 30+ years. I have been going here since I was a kid and literally nothing has changed in this place, and that's a good thing! I don't live on Griffin anymore but my family does and we make it a point to get breakfast here whenever I am in town to visit.
This is a great breakfast place! Brenda was our server and she was wonderful and friendly. The biscuits with gravy and sausage are out of this world! Can't wait to have some more. The pancakes are delicious. It's owner's grandfather's recipe and they are yummy. Everyone there is very friendly and it's a true down-home kind of restaurant.
I used to eat a place Named Murphys in Mi they had a Breakfast to die for any place named Murphys is a place to go. We plan on visiting our Griffin Murphys real soon making new memories with Great Food

Chick-fil-A

Great place for a meal. You know what you are going to get, consistency. Sweet tea is sweet, and the Chicken is kicking.
This particular Chick-Fil-A is a DWARF HOUSE! This means it has a small red dwarf door you can bend over and walk through. It also means that you are seated in a booth, a waitress takes your order, and they have more menu selections, including (prepare yourself): beef. Yes, Chick-Fil-A actually makes good burgers and steak, and here is the place to try this rare find! Besides the ever-delicious and popular offerings of waffle fries, the Chick-Fil-A sandwich, nuggets and lemonade, they also have a wonderful chicken pot pie, a chargrilled chicken melt sandwich, a "hot brown", hand-spun milkshakes (request yours to be extra thick), fried pies, and even chicken biscuits all day long! If you've never been, you owe it to yourself. You might have to wait a little before you're seated, but it will be worth it. (Like all Chick-Fil-As, they are closed on Sundays, so choose another day to go!)
Who doesn't like Chick-fil-A? If this were A standard Chick-fil-A, I wouldn't even bother with the review. However, this particular Chick-fil-A is a Dwarf House. It has both the standard Chick-fil-A area and a sit down restaurant area. I still wasn't terribly excited about having dinner here, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sit down area has a full menu, complete with vegetables. I opted for the steak, thinking I would really put them to the test and it was actually pretty good. Let me clarify that I'm not suggesting you opt for a Chick-fil-A steak over one from a steakhouse, but it was better than I hoped for. I rounded out the order with a baked potato and mac 'n cheese. The potato skin was salted (something I like) and the mac 'n cheese was very good. My wife ordered Belgian waffles (yes, they serve breakfast all day) and her cousin LOVED their collards. If we find ourselves near a Dwarf House in the future, we will definitely dine there again.
