I love this place!!! This is my goto spot for some comfort Korean food. I love their kimchi fried rice nd kimbap! When I first moved to Duluth I got dinner here with a friend and this place really hit the spot. They servers are all Korean of course but on the far back side wall there is just a mural of a bunch of characters drawn together I'm black and white. So cool to look at and just an awesome touch to the little restaurant! Very affordable as well and never packed...at least when I went. Check it out!

Out of all the donkatsu places I've eaten at in my life, this was the best so far. I can't even explain how good their cheese and yam yam donkatsu's are. Soo good.

Everything we had was excellent. The honey garlic wings were perfect. The ddukbukki was wonderful, a little spicy with egg and we asked for cheese on top. The sujaebi soup was the best. Tasted like my grandmothers chicken and dumplings.

Ok, so I'm vegetarian and allergic to pork. And when I ordered my dish, I specifically mentioned multiple times to take out the meat and seafood. However, when my dish arrived at the table, I realized that there was pork in it. I went up to let them know but the owner rudely refused to fix his mistake without an extra charge. This kind of situation has happened to me many times before at other restaurants, and every place has remade my food without any charge and always made sure to apologize. The owner told me to just eat the noodles, but I couldn't because they were cooked in the pork broth. So I ended up having to pay for something I didn't even eat. Even though the workers apologized, the owner acted unprofessional and ignored my request. RUDE. Thanks for trying to kill a vegetarian.

I came here with fellow yelper Michelle K. She raved about this place, and after going to Harue, I felt a yang for some Korean food. Despite my ethnicity, I haven't had a lot of Korean food in my life, so I followed Michelle's lead. I will say it's not a good place for kids, because they don't do small portions for anyone. Started with small sides that come free with every meal. I liked the Kimchi best. We got the omelette stuffed with rice and meat, a sushi roll that had jalapeño in it, and a rice cake dish with vegetables smothered in sauce. The sushi roll was my favorite. It was nice and spicy. The omelette I didn't eat, but it was a large portion and could have easily filled you. The rice cake dish was pretty good, but the sauce could have had more spice to it. Michelle has mentioned they have the best fried chicken, so if you like that, I guess I'd try it, but I'm not a fan. Portions are large, so you most likely will have some leftovers for the next day :)

I really love this place. My boyfriend and I order from here as much as we can. I absolutely love their food. I can't even decide a favorite because I love everything and they have runningman on the tv. Just simply laid back and awesome.

I stopped by with my husband today for a quick lunch with variety. It used to be another Korean snack restaurant called Don Quixote. The food variety is similar, but the flavor of Yummy is better! The dukbokki in particular was SO good!! Seating is private, each table is sectioned off. And the service was great! They always had a smile on their face and were prompt! To my husband and I, service is just as important as food and Yummy did not disappoint in either!! Found our new Sunday after church spot!!!

Great Korean food with big portions. We love the spicy tonkatsu, spam omelette rice, any of the Kimbabs, honey garlic wings, and the garlic Parmesan potato twists. Great for groups. Friendly staff. Several other restaurants have been in this spot, hopefully they stay!!

We ordered a lot of different dishes here. Some were good and others were so-so. Apparently it's always a hit or miss here - the same dish will be awesome one day and terrible the next.

I have been wanting to try yummy place after seeing a lot of my friends on yelp and facebook posting about this place...and lots of yummy pictures of course. So last night I finally had the chance to try this place with my boyfriend. Yummy place is taking over where the One used to be. The One was also another korean restaurant but specialized in bento box, while Yummy place is more specialized in korean snacks. The boyfriend and I ordered the following: -10 p. of Hot wings (7.99$) -Ham and egg kimbap -Tuna kimbap -Spicy seafood ramen noodle -Odeng $5.99 for four sticks -Beef bulgogi Out of all of the above, I really liked the ham and egg kimbap. Everything else was a okay. Nothing spectacular in my opinion. My only complaint is that the odeng was kinda hard even though we kept it soaked in for awhile. Overall, I will comeback for the ham and egg and maybe try other stuff.

After giving more Korean food a try, I have to say it's my fave cuisne, The more I venture to try more dishes, the more in love with Korean food I am. My favorite to-go Korean place is Dan Moo Ji. Unfortunately, it is closed for renovations (BIGGER Dan Moo Ji to open on June 1st) and I was craving some kimbap and omurice. After searching on Yelp, I came across Yummy Place. I did ask my Korean coworker about it and she said it was good but not as good as Dan Moo Ji. I knew the comparisons will be there but since I wanted me some kimbap, I was ready to go to Yummy Place. I've always drove by the complex but never thought to try anything there. It was between Shane's Co & the plaza with Cho Won Buffet. I did drive by it cause there are two plazas between there. The parking is kinda awkward but was able to find one. Walking in, I like the modern, cool setup. We sat by the booth in the middle where the tv facing on the left was playing k-pop with graffati on the wall. On the left side is a wall of beautiful black and white drawings of well known cartoon characters. The menu was quite extensive and impressive. Plus everything was affordable. I wanted to try something new that I never had and of course, order a few things that I enjoyed. We ordered spam omurice, spicy squid kimbap, & spicy pork hot stone rice with cheese. I was very curious about the stone rice with cheese. Koreans have the most interesting combo flavors. Like corn and cheese! Who would've thought. I mean, cheese does taste good on almost anything, just like bacon! Three banchans came out and all were good - kimchi, radish, & macaroni salad with apple. Spam omurice was big and really good, cannot decide if it taste better here or at Dan Moo Ji. Spicy squid kimbap was also huge. I like it slightly a bit more at Dan Moo Ji but still really really good. Now for the spicy pork hot stone rice with cheese. It was full of yumminess. I was already really full and couldn't finish it. It was still hot in temperature so it took me a while to eat. I love it when cheese melts like that and is long and gooey. Extra bonus plus from me. The staff was really friendly and kept checking up on us. I feel that we were the only non Koreans there cause they spoke to everyone else in Korean. I would definitely go back and try more dishes! I love Korean food.

Stopped by on a Monday night. I found this place through Yelp! I think I would have rated them higher if I didn't order such basic items. Prices are very reasonable and would cost you about $10 per person. I would say this place is a type of all of your Korean snacks restaurant. There are TVs along the walls. I would say this place is where you also go drinking with your buddies and watch sports games. FOOD: - O-Deng Udon: your typical udon noodles with o-deng or fish cakes. It's served piping hot and I thought the dish was okay. I kept wondering if it was made from scratch. The dish is pretty filling. There were equal parts noodles and soup. - 10 Piece Chicken Wings: I ordered the lemon pepper and the hot lemon garlic. I did not like the chicken wings that they used. All of them had cracked bones inside so I kept finding cracked pieces of bones when I take a bite. I thought the Hot lemon garlic sauce is unique and must try if you do decide to try their chicken wings. I wouldn't order the wings again though. - Banchan: I liked the side dish that was made with macaroni in a light creamy sauce with veggies like carrots. It's served cold as many of banchans are. SERVICE: The service is pretty great here and everyone is really sweet. I think the only person that knows how to speak English is the male server ( or what I assume is the son of the owner ). Overall, I would dine here again. The service is great and I like great service which would bring me back to the restaurant. I would like to try other menu items such as their popular chicken and their ddukbokki. I'm sure I'm missing out on their more popular menu items.

Grabbed dinner with my buddy this past Friday around 9 PM. I heard of this place when a fellow Yelper created an event awhile back to help promote. The restaurant had a small group when we arrived, and a few smaller groups came in after us as we were leaving. The fish cake I had with ramen was pretty average. It was def spicy and warm. I guess I wasn't digging the ramen noodles too much. I just felt like the sauce wasn't epically made. It seemed as it was just tossed in with the noodles and overwhelming amount of veggies. My friend got the donkatsu, and he seemed to have enjoyed it. His portion size was pretty big. I enjoyed their side dishes more, specifically the macaroni salad. Lol. Service was friendly. Our waiter checked on us and made sure we were good. Yummy Place was about two doors (business complexes) down from Jang Su Jang and J Hair Salon. Parking was semi okay since this complex was a tad small.

FRIED CHICKEN! I would of never thought that bomb diggity fried chicken would come from a Korean spot!! Came here for dinner, with BFF and fellow Yelper, Michelle K. We ordered: Kimbap: the Korean sushi roll, made with rice & bulgogi. Soooo good! Omerice: Kimchee fried rice, with an omelete style fried egg on top, and ketchup drizzled on top. Ketchup, weird, will order without next time. Ketchup & eggs, ew. Just me though. Fried Potato Rounds on a Stick, Tornado Potatoes: Parmesan & garlic, and Ranch flavored order, both were super good. Fried Chicken: Who would've thunk?! The batter was light & crispy, different than traditional American fried chicken. Flavorful & juicy. We didn't order a "flavor", just plain. It came with salt and pepper seasoning on the side, which was awesome sprinkled on the chicken. They also gave us another sauce, sweet & spicy, i didn't care for it as much. I enjoyed the chicken plain or with the salt pepper stuff. I enjoyed the chicken so much, I got an order to go for dinner the next night. Yes, it heated up awesome in the toaster oven!! Korean Side Dishes: turnip kimchee & cabbage kimchee were the BEST! Sweet, spicy, perfect! Mac salad also good, had potatoes in it also. Service was on point! They checked on us often, and assisted with ordering. Super nice people. I have been craving their fried chicken ever since!

I'm hesitant on giving (especially) small businesses a bad rating, but this one will be an exception. Pros Dongatsu tasted good They sell beer Portions are fairly large Cons Service: I don't expect a high standard of service at Korean restaurants, but the service here was just non-existent. It wasn't busy, and there were two servers. Not once did someone come by to check on how we were doing. They didn't even ask if we needed anything else when we got our food. Our waters were never refilled, nor the side dishes. The only time we were acknowledged was when they tried to reach over our table and turn off the "open" sign around 9:40PM (they close at 10:00PM). Also, a pet peeve of mine, please do not linger at the table to see how much tip I wrote on the receipt. Kimchi Omorice: I wonder if they thoroughly cleansed their kimchi of any taste before mixing it with the rice. It was that bland. The cherry on top? I got sick after eating here.

I'm normally a big fan of Korean places like Yummy Place... but each time I've been... something was missing or off. Parking - From what I've seen the parking is ok in the front. Yummy Place shares it with other shops, so may get a little crowded during peak hours. I did see some in the back, but it looks kind of sketch if parking there a night. Service - Service is good. I've had better service at other Korean places though, but eh - it's ok. I think some of the girls there can barely speak English. One time, no servers were around when I walked in and I wasn't sure if I seat myself or wait for a server to seat me... waited 7 or mins till someone saw me. Space - To me, it's looks big. Bigger than the older Dan Moo Ji (I haven't seen the renovations yet btw!). I always sit in the booths. However, Yummy place is not as big as So Kong Dong/Lee's Tofu. Food - Banchan is good here. Kimchi, Kalkoki, pasta salad (random), and radish. I enjoy them! Tuna Kimbab & Bulgogi Kimbab - these tasted really bad. The Tuna and & Bulgogi tasted a day old. The ingredients inside looked as if they were fresh from awhile ago. Nothing went well together. I could see the colors of the Tuna/Bulgogi/Ingredients & could tell that Yummy Place gave us yesterday's/a few days old house made stuff. Ramen Dduboki - I liked their version. It wasn't spicy at all. I do love Dan Moo Ji's, but there level 1 spicy is still too much for me. The portion was nice too. The Dduk, Ramen, Fishcake pieces, and everything was good ... including the sauce. Was absorbed very well. Potato Tornado - I'm not sure if I'd get this. When I ate it, I felt like I was at a carnival eatinc cheap food but marked at a higher price. I don't know -- a lot of people like this. It didn't really make much of an impression on me. Chicken Wings - Avoid. I tried several types here. All were not up to my standards/meat was too hard to bite into. Dan Moo Ji's is much better taste wise and biting into wise.

Yummy Place is a Korean snack food restaurant that opened Summer 2014 in the same small shopping center as Ham Ji Bak Cafe. This shopping center has its own stop light and is just down the road from (and on the same side of the street as) other Korean restaurants, Jang Su Jang and Cho Won Buffet. Unlike the aforementioned restaurants, Yummy Place isn't a Korean tofu house or a restaurant specializing in Korean BBQ or a traditional dish like bossam (pork belly wraps). Instead, Yummy Place is more of a "snack cafe" cut in the same mold as other Duluth Korean restaurants such as A-Hyang, Dan Moo Ji, and Harue Food & Cafe. These types of Korean food establishments are generally popular among young people and serve food such as kimbap (rice rolls), tonkatsu (fried pork cutlets), rice omelettes, ddeokbokki (rice cakes), dupbop (meat stir-fry rice bowls), noodles, soup, fried rice, tempura, Korean fried chicken, and wings. They are typically more casual and laid back. Yummy Place is no exception. While the restaurant isn't terribly large, it's ideal for and popular with groups. There are 5-6 tables that can comfortably seat about 8 each. Along the walls are a half-dozen cozy, semi-private booths. The enclosed booths give this place a distinct Korean feel. However, the interior also has a "trendy" element to it with a neon-lit sign, TVs playing K-pop, graffiti wall art, and an awesome pop culture mural featuring everything from Despicable Me to the Super Mario Bros. To avoid confusion, I'll use the menu's romanized naming conventions when discussing dishes. You can expect to spend about $4 per kimbab roll (~10 pieces), $6-8 per order of noodles and fried rice, and $9-12 each for most everything else. Here's what I've tried: Kimbab: * Bulgogi Kimbob - beef * Spicy Kimbob - hot pepper * Egg & Spam Kimbob Donkatsu: * Spicy Donkatsu - pork cutlet, salad, with spicy house sauce Omelette Rice: * Yam Yam Omelette Rice - vegetables and beef with egg omelette rice Ddukpokgi: * Jjollpokgi - chewy noodles, rice cake, spicy sauce Noodles/Soup: * Kkochi O-deng - skewer fish cake soup Fried Chicken: * Fried Chicken * Hot Spicy Fried Chicken Special: * Potato Tornado Yummy Place offers about a dozen different types of kimbob. As mentioned above, kimbob is similar to Japanese maki or sushi rolls in that there's white rice and various ingredients wrapped in seaweed. The main difference between kimbob and sushi is kimbob doesn't use fish. Instead, meats such as Korean beef bulgogi and spam are used. Yummy Place's kimbob isn't bad at all and a plate or two can make an excellent snack. The Bulgogi Kimbob is a solid choice. The Egg & Spam Kimbob has a really neat presentation because the roll has an additional thin layer of egg wrapped around the outside. Fillings in the kimbob include danmuji (yellow pickled radish), carrots, cucumber, egg, and imitation crab. Sesame seeds are sprinkled sparingly on the outside. As with other Korean restaurants, Yummy Place's Donkatsu is huge. The large plate comes with two breaded and fried pork cutlets topped with copious amounts of sweet and piquant brown donkatsu sauce. Consider asking for the sauce on the side. Also included is a clump of white rice, a small bowl of shredded cabbage salad with Thousand Island dressing, and yellow radish. Though it tastes kind of "instant," there's no denying the Donkatsu's scrumptiousness. The Omelette Rice dishes here are like comfort food. One order pretty much amounts to a gratifying plate of rice, eggs, and other ingredients. What makes it cool though is the presentation. The rice and various ingredients are wrapped in a huge, fluffy omelette. There are a handful of different Ddukpokgi to choose from. They have Rapokgi which is made with ramen noodles. The Jjollpokgi is made with clear, chewy noodles and also includes a hard boiled egg, cabbage, thin slices of fish cake, thick sticks of regular Ddukpoki (rice cakes), all in a spicy red sauce. It's alright. Like other dishes here, the portion size on this is huge. I recommend the O-deng. This is a common Korean street food and one I like to order when I see it. This snack is best shared. Four skewers come to an order. The skewers come in a bowl of piping hot broth. The fish cake looks rubbery, but it's actually soft and appetizing. The Fried Chicken is A-OK. Whether you get a half or full order, you'll get a variety of both bone-in and boneless pieces. If getting the Hot Spicy Fried Chicken, you have the option to have the spicy sauce served on the side. Definitely try a Potato Tornado. This is a fun and savory appetizer where a breaded, fried, and seasoned potato whirls its way around a wooden skewer. It's kind of like a wacky French fry alternative. Service is fantastic. Though they don't speak the best English, the owner and older Korean server ladies are friendly and attentive. Orders come out from the kitchen fast.

YUMMY. YELPY. YAAAAS. Yummy Place is a fairly new Korean restaurant in Duluth. It's located off Satellite Boulevard in a small shopping plaza. It is located on the same side as the big plaza that consists of TJ MAXX, Marshalls, Party City, Cho Won Buffet, etc... BUT 2 plazas further heading towards the QuikTrip Gas Station at the intersection of Steve Reynolds and Satellite Boulevard. PARKING: Limited so drive around to the back for a few spaces available. If going at night, it's a little dark and sketch back there. Just saying. INTERIOR: plenty of tables all with walls separating them. gives privacy, which i like. Hip artwork on the walls. Like seriously. Check it out in person. FOOD: I came with a few friends and we ordered quite a lot to try out. Their menu is pretty extensive; lots of korean snack items. -Odeng Guk Soup (Fish Cake Soup) -Bul Go Gi Kimbap -Chicken Gizzard Deep Fried with Garlic -Teriyaki Chicken Skewers -Tornado Potatoes (Ranch Flavored; other flavors available) SERVICE: Friendly and attentive The food was delicious. No major complaints on any besides the ranch flavored potato rings. The ranch was a little overwhelming. Maybe the other flavors are better such as Salted or Cheddar. Cheap eats with plentiful portions. Definitely one of my new favorite Korean places to hit up.

Been coming often since they opened and love the food here. Their chicken tastes great and everything else has been better than most places around. We also love the fried potato skewers and kimbap. We once did take out and they forgot to include the wings we ordered, but they delivered them to our house immediately and were very apologetic. Great service and they do care about their customers. Also always have fun korean tv shows on inside with tvs everywhere for easy viewing.

So glad the Gwinnett UYE series is back and so glad that we kicked it off with a stop at Yummy Place. As the name suggests, it's pretty yummy. Outside of Korean BBQ, I'm not that familiar with Korean food. If you're like me, Yummy Place is a good spot to start with because the food is like snack food - lots of fried, salty, universally appealing flavors in easy to share presentations. It's not gourmet, but it's quite likeable. Yummy Place is relatively new, with a short menu that's mostly in English with some pictures. The English proficiency of the staff is limited, but we made by thanks to some expert translation by our lovely hostess. We received three complimentary banchan: a mayo-based pasta salad (didn't try it), pickled radishes (delicious), and kimchi, which I actually thought was better than average. It was spicy and cut in thin pieces so you didn't end up with a giant piece of cabbage on the end of your chopsticks. Though drink refills were a little slow (we were a party of 16 in their defense), banchan refills were speedy, which was good, because I think I went through two bowls of kimchi on my own. I ordered the bulgogi kimbap to start with, which was delicious. Slightly warm grilled beef bulgogi wrapped in seaweed like sushi, it was a giant portion for under $4 and a nice way to start the meal. However, my friend's egg and spam kimbap was the winner, both for taste and presentation. That's what I'll be getting when I go back! For my entree, I got the half order of spicy fried chicken. If you've never had Korean fried chicken before, you're missing out. It's so juicy and the breading is extra crispy and almost tempura like. For the spicy version, they toss it liberally in sweet/hot Korean chilli paste. I found this version quite spicy, which is good, because I love spicy food! They cut the bone-in pieces pretty small, which means they cook quickly so you won't have to wait long for your freshly fried bird. A half order is easily enough for two people. The fried chicken isn't the only generous serving - all the portions were huge. Even if you come hungry, you'll still probably leave with leftovers. Overall, Yummy Place is aptly named.

I've been here a couple times now, and it's definitely a great place for quick, filling, well-priced Korean snack food. In fact, my roommate is obsessed with this place. If you're not willing to spend a whole ton and you're really hungry, come here for sure. While the service isn't amazing as our water is usually never refilled (unless asked), the ladies working here are really sweet and smiley. I love talking to them and they always make me feel very comfortable! I've had the tonkatsu, kimchi omurice, spam and egg kimbap, spicy shrimp kimbap, and yamyam ddukbokki. I love the kimbap here as it's always delicious and there's always a generous amount of it; it's well priced in consideration of other snack food places nearby. The omurice is also a favorite and I especially love the flavor of the rice part! The ddukbokki has a great chewy consistency; it's not too overloaded with sodium and the serving size is huge. The atmosphere is also very cozy, especially if you snag a private room area, but all of the seating is rather secluded, so it's a great place to have conversations with friends!

The omurice and the fried chicken are the items to order at this Korean fast food joint. In addition to these tasty foods, you can order kimbap, rice cake dishes, tempura, and donkatsu. As in other Korean fast food restaurants, prices are reasonable ($3-4 for kimbap, ~$7-12 for entrees, combination plates combining different items from each of the main groups is also available). A small selection of banchan (kimchi, pasta salad, and radishes) accompanied our meal. Omurice is an omelet with rice. My group ordered the vegetable omelet with cheese. It was delicious - we should have ordered two of them. The fried chicken comes in either half orders or full orders. It was the best part of lunch, in my opinion. The sauce was sweet and the chicken pieces were fried perfectly. Four different sauces are available for the chicken. We also ordered the egg and spam kimbap, the bulgogi kimbap, fishcake soup, and rice cakes with ramen. The egg and spam kimbap was very good. The bulgogi kimbap was also good. The fishcake soup consists of four fishcake sheets, each skewered on sticks in a light broth. Not bad, but if you aren't super hungry, stick with the omurice or fried chicken. Not the biggest fan of the rice cakes with ramen. The flavor was okay, but the other lunch items were better. The fried chicken is the standout dish here and quite a variety of other items are available for those who want to eat something else.

Yummy Place has become one of my new favorite places to go for Korean food. I've heard about this place being in comparison to one of my go-to places Dan Moo Ji, so I thought I would give it a try on a date with my boyfriend. For my first trip to Yummy Place, I wanted to attempt to order everything! But there were only two mouths to feed, and not enough room in our bellies to order that much. (but we sure tried!) We ordered the Combo Menu 2, which consisted of: -Ddeokbokki rice cakes -Kimbap -3 odeng fish cakes on skewers, in broth -Tonkatsu and rice plate We also ordered the Yam Yam Omurice (beef) and a ranch tornado potato! The banchan consisted of kimchi, pickled radish, and my favorite....the macaroni salad. I'm not sure if it's a korean thing, but they're macaroni salad consists of bit of chopped apples in it! (which I LOVE...almost as much as hawaiian mac salad) We enjoyed everything ordered! I really liked how they seasoned the ddeokbokki to be on the sweeter side and the Tonkatsu was perfectly cooked, not dry. The omurice was great too! I would've enjoyed the tornado potato a little more if I ordered a different seasoning, the ranch was a tiny bit too over powering. In comparison to Dan Moo Ji, I would say that they both have their pros and cons and it all depends on what you're craving. For example, at Dan Moo Ji, there are more options to customize your ddeokbokki (spice levels, more toppings, etc.) whereas here, at Yummy Place, the ddeokbokki came standard with a couple options such as different types of noodles or cheese. At Yummy Place though, the menu is more extensive, but still simple, which I like. There's a good variety of different items to fit anyone's Korean food cravings. (chicken wings, noodles, fried rice, etc.) I will say that the kimbap here, isn't as good as Dan Moo Ji's but it's still pretty good. Prices are amazing, which is why my boyfriend and I paid another visit to Yummy Place again twice that week! :] The ONLY real complaint I have is the lack of staff and service. Although it's not terrible, and the servers are willing to quickly help you once you've flagged them down...it would be nice to have our server check in on us every once in a while to refill our waters or something. Perhaps it was because we were seated in the closed off booths? I like the privacy but I also would like water refills.... Other than that, I'll definitely pay another visit to Yummy Place really soon.

This place is fairly new I think. they still have their grand opening sign up. This place specializes in korean street food. ttekboki, tornado potato, korean deep fried vegetables and meats, kimbap are some of the items you can find here. We went for the omelette wrapped fried rice with spam which I love. It reminds me of a delicacy in Malaysia called nasi Kerabu. Also, everything with spam makes it that much awesomer. We also had the kimbap with bulgogi which was good but not great. Their spicy honey garlic wings was pretty good. We really need a kyochon in Atlanta. Anybody willing to start a franchise with me? Overall, I'd definitely come back just to try the other stuff on the menu. We would've tried more stuff but my lame friends were on diet. Parking is free.

This place is a typical Korean boonshik (snack) place. It wasn't really busy when I went (noon), so I was thinking maybe it gets busier at night. Anyway, I uploaded a photo of what we got: Rabokki (ramen, ddukbokki), Odeng, Kimbap, and garlic tornado potato (super good). The Rabokki was mediocre, Odeng was pretty good, chamchi (fish) kimbap was okay, but the tornado potato was really good! Must try. They have different flavors, but I think the garlic tastes the best. What stood out the most to me was the hand-drawn art on the wall at the far left. Very interesting collage of different characters. If you're bored, there's korean tv/kpop performances playing on the TVs. Overall, service was pretty great. The owners also didn't mind "watching" my car while I went somewhere else with someone for a couple hours. Will go again when I'm craving "Boonshik." :)

Yummy Place, or Yum Yum BunShik Cafe, is another Korean cafe serving Korean snack items. They have a huge menu from tteokbokki, kimbaps, donkatsus, and other popular, Korean snack items. They also have an interesting item I never seen before: Tornado Potato. They also love cheese. You can put cheese on almost everything like your tteokbokki. That sounded pretty gross. I didn't try it, but maybe I should've. It might make things awesome and flavorful. They seem understaffed. They look popular, but they only have about 2 servers serving the whole place. They looked busy taking orders, busing tables, and handling billing. If you can't decide what to get, they do have combos. We got the combo 2, which came with tteokbokki, kimbap, 3 pieces of oden, and tonkatsu. We even got the Tornado Potato because of the curiosity factor. That seems like a lot of food, but it isn't. The two of us finished it. At least we felt very satisfied. If you have 2 heavy eaters, combo 2 would be a good combo to get. The food tasted bland. The tteokbokki didn't have the heat or flavor. The tonkatsu tasted fine. The kimbap was mediocre. The oden's broth and the fish cakes tasted bland. The Tornado Potato is a potato wrapped around a stick. Then they deep fry it french fry style. You can also choose the flavor from cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, ranch, and others. I tried the cheddar, and I didn't taste much cheddar. Just like their other items, it just didn't have much flavor to it. They just sprinkled cheese on the fried potato. However, I still liked it. It was strangely addicting--kinda like a potato chip. The food was cheap. All that food we ordered cost only $22. So at least the price seemed right. Their banchans were good though. Their kimchis, kkakdugis and macaroni salad all tasted good. I liked their macaroni salad; it had little pieces of apple in them. Overall, Yummy Place is a very average Korean restaurant. It's not really Yummy. It was more meh. It seems like a good place to go with your friends to eat Korean snack like foods. They just have to make them with some flavor.

Yummy place isn't so yummy and I'm guessing it's just another hyped up place. I went there for the first time for lunch on a Thursday because DanMooJi (my favorite korean snack place) was closed for construction. I went with a friend who had been here only once before when it was grand opening and super busy. We ordered the tuna kimbob, pork dongkatsu, odeng (fish cake), and yam yam deukbbokki. Nothing really stood out to me. The dongkatsu was the same as anywhere else, the sauce was just okay. The deukbbokki was below average compared to DanMooJi which is full of flavor and has that addictive spiciness. One disappointing thing was that my friend who had been there when it was super busy didn't get to try the tornado potato because the kitchen was too busy to make it. But when we went they told us the kitchen was busy again so we still couldn't order it. Uhhh there were only like 2-3 other tables when we came in sooo yeah. Must be issues with food prep, not enough cooks, or just lazy. The service could've been better. We were there for over 2 hours and didn't get one refill on water. The check came out to be over $35 which is more than what we pay when we pig out at DanMooJi so definitely not worth it. Anyway, won't be coming back again..I'll just wait for DanMooJi to reopen which seems like it'll be foreverrr.

Food at this location is mediocre at best, I tried out the kimbap, dukboki, yuekejang, and a few other dishes and none of them made me want to try them again. Food definitely fills up your stomach and prices are good but taste wise it's lacking something. Plus in this area there are so many better asian restaurants I feel like this one is not worth going to.

I've had way better. The only thing I enjoyed was the Tornado potato things. They were good (cheddar and garlic parm). But everything else was meh. The kimbap was overpriced and just meh.

I've been here twice since it's opened and both times it was excellent. I must start out saying that the address listed on yelp is incorrect. It's not in suwanee, it's in duluth, next to Jang su jang. The address is 3751 Satellite Blvd NW, Suite 600, Duluth, GA 30096. It's in a mini shopping plaza. Now onto the good stuff. My girlfriend is Korean and she knows her korean snack food. Don't get me wrong, I do too as an American. We ordered the ddukbukki, kimbap, jjampong soup, chicken wings and the half chicken. Everything is really delicious. The jjampong soup was spot on, super tasty. The kimbap is freshly made with meat cooked to order, ddukbukki is tasty and the chicken is awesome. The honey garlic sauce is spot on. The service is attentive, friendly and family oriented. We will definitely return!

My friend and I ordered Spam Omelete Rice, Rabukgi, Potato on the stick (forgot the name), and Sweet Potato. Service was ok. I had to call the lady few times to refill banchan (side dishes), water, and more refills. Also, felt rushed to order. Anyhow, as long as the food is good, I can by pass that. Spam Omelete Rice: 3 stars Fried rice with couple veggies and chopped spam mixed together with fried rice wrapped in egg Omelete and topped with ketchup. It was just ok. Nothing wow about it. Fried rice tasted bit blend. I feel that they should've stir fried the rice with ketchup as well. Rabukgi: 4 stars Ramen noodles, veggies, fish cakes, and rice cakes stir fried together in spicy sauce. Actually, it wasn't spicy. I like it because it wasn't spicy but I know it should have been spicy. Rabukgi was really good that we ate everything, including the sauce. One downside is rice cake gets hard fast and hard to chew. Potato on the stick $1.99 per stick: 4 stars You get to choose the flavor: garlic, and I forgot the other ones. We chose the garlic flavor. It was really good, crunchy and flavorful. Only recommendation is to eat it while it's hot!!! Sweet Potato: 3.5 stars Sweet potatoes slightly fried in sweet sugary glazed. Only recommendation is more syrup!!! Overall, yummy place is pretty good place. Owner lady is the original owner from Don Quixote (Buford Highway) before they sold it to the brother more than 10 years ago.

I struggled between giving this Yummy Place a 3 or a 4. This is why: Service: Impeccable. But that may have been because our server was intrigued by the fluent Korean speaking Caucasian at our table. Waters were constantly refilled and our server was attentive. Food: At par, borderline sub-par. The banchan weren't bad, very fresh, and more flavor than the rest of the dishes I ordered... Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I was so sure I ordered the classic Donkatsu, which was in this case, the Yam Yam Donkatsu. The usual sauce was drizzled, well more like drenched onto the Donkatsu. After it started to cool, the sauce began to congeal. I wish it came on the side without me having to ask for it to come that way. The side salad with thousand island dressing was typical of a donkatsu meal and the rice was perfectly sticky the Korean way and fragrant, too. The cheese omelette rice had a nice consistency, but lacked any real flavor - all that I could taste was pretty faint. The sauce on top was alright but didn't really add as much flavor to the fried rice as it could have. The broth that comes with the meal doesn't compare to the odeng broth at Dan Moo Jo, unfortunately. Lacks real flavor, too. Hours: Open til 10 Sunday-Thursday, open til 1am on weekends, open 7 days a week! Not bad. Dan Moo Ji's extremely inconvenient Sunday hours drove us to look for another restaurant. Parking: A shared private lot with a couple other stores/restaurants so it was pretty busy, but there is additional parking in the back. Interior: There is some awesome wall art in the back, signed by Angela. I loved it! While waiting for our food, our group examined the wall and pointed out different characters she had illustrated. This definitely wouldn't be my go-to place for Korean snack food, but if it's late and I have no where else to go... This is the place to be.

We went to Yummy on a rainy Sunday and got the kimbop, soy fried chicken, and marinated pork rice. The pork was well marinated, the kimbop sushi tasted a bit spicy and overall wasn't too memorable. The soy chicken was the best thing out of the 3 that we ate, but parts of the chicken were drier than others. The main gripe I had with this place was the service. Normally I am ok with slow service but I had an issue because when we asked for the tornado potatoe they said it was unavailable, but we saw another group who came after us get the tornado. Not sure why they told me that it wasn't available, perhaps they thought we asked for something else, but then again nothing on the menu sounds close to tornado potato.

Yummy Place has the best ddokbokki I have had in a very long time. Which could also be because I actually ordered rabokki with cheese, it was fancy as hell. Yam Yam Pun-shik Cafe is the actual name written in hangul on the front. It is a brand new Korean snack house and casual cafe, so the interior is all brand new. I was concerned that we would be test subjects since it is new, but service was flawless and so was the food. There are tv's playing kpop videos and and cool professional looking graffiti style art on the walls. They have all the usual snackhouse favorites, like different styles of; katsu, kimbap, fried rice, ddokbokki, and ramyun. Also offered are whole fried chicken, chicken wings, and bubble teas. Pat Bing Soo in assorted flavors are very popular and massive in size, just like in Korea. A unique item offered that we just had to try is the Su Jae Bi (hand made torn noodle/dumpling soup), it was absolutely terrific and light and the noodles were chulgit chulgit. Yum! Panchan offered are overly sweet kimchi, great gaktoki (hot radish), and macaroni salad with apple. Prices are low and they already have plenty of customers for a brand new restaurant. Many people were just ordering Bing Soo and nothing else, so I would say that Yummy Place is also good for dessert. We drove around tonight, July 4th, and all the other restaurants in the area were closed. Luckily, we just drove by and stopped. It looked great, so we gave it a try despite the lack of reviews.

Pretty new Korean restaurant that sits where Don Quixote used to be. Yummy Place offers kimbab (Korean sushi roll), ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes), katsu (fried pork cutlet), ramen, fried rice, and odeng (fish cakes). Items recommended: ~spicy katsu - be careful with the sauce... it has a nice kick to it; huge portion ~egg & spam kimbab ~odeng skewers - generous portion & pretty good fish cakes ~bulgogi kimbab - marinated beef sushi roll - delicious & very filling ~kimchi fried rice - topped with a fried egg; generous portion & great flavor Prices are pretty cheap here. Service's been great so far. Private parking lot shared w/ some other businesses. The artwork on the wall inside the restaurant is pretty impressive & done by one of the workers.

The food was good and cheap. I tried the tuna kimbap, potato swirl stick with parmesan cheese, the tonkatsu, and spicy wings. Everything was pretty good tasting and I like now we had a coat hanger and our own booth space. My only complaint really which is why I cannot give more stars for this experience is the service was pretty minimal and I did not feel welcomed. When I first walked in and they thought ricky and i were korean they were super nice! But the minute they realized we weren't korean...dun dun dun.....game over. We did not feel welcomed and shoddy service (ex: water cup was left empty and they saw it at the edge of the table and ignored it and we had to go up to the counter to get our check instead of them bringing it to us)- the older lady who originally was going to be our waiter was super nice but we ended up getting the sons owner as our waiter because he spoke english. He was nice.....but lazy. On top of it because we were not korean we ate there the whole time very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. They did not even say thank you when we left or anything. It felt very rude and awkward. I say if you go eat here bring a korean friend. Apparently despite ricky being born in korea (but can't speak korean) we still got treated shitty and unwelcomed. Overall the food is good and so is the price, but the service was bad and we felt unwelcomed..... and I feel it was all due to that we were not korean. I am not going back due to these reasons.

The area is surrounded by Korean snack shops, but I have to say that Yummy Place easily wins over Danmooji and Pepper Garden. For one thing, they have a larger seating area that makes you feel much more comfortable and enclosed than the other two. They also have much better service with the waitresses kindly taking your orders and giving you recommendations on what would be best for your group. If you don't speak English, they don't make you feel uncomfortable at all and are very patient with you while you order. I ordered the beef omurice, but I feel like it definitely would have been better had there been cheese in it- so I recommend the cheese/beef combo. The tuna kimbap was also nice and $3.99 - similar to the other snack stores We also got the chicken wings and bulgogi all at reasonable prices. Overall a great new Korean snack store that you should try!

Sits on Satellite blvd with easy access from both sides. Right after Jang su Jang if coming from that way. Interior is retro in a way...quaint. Graffiti on the wall is interesting take to art. Service was excellent, server always came around to see if we needed anything and was attentive. Plenty of seating as well. So, now onto the food. The last time I had ddbuki this good was on Buford Hwy back in 2002 before the good ole restaurant shut down. This is exactly what it tastes like to me...and similar taste to Don Quixote on Buford Hwy. I can see an ajama (korean grandma) cooking in the kitchen, which is always a great sign for authentic Korean food. Kimbap was really fresh. Ban chan are really fresh...literally you can taste the freshness on them. This location gets five stars, not only because of the awesome food, but for their papbingsu. Yes my yelpers, they have it! Now I don't have to travel down the street for some when I have it right in front of my face! The papbingsu tastes just like it does in South Korea...true story! I hope this joint gets a lot more business because they deserve it. Did I mention they are cheap?? You'll see me here from now on. Sorry danmooji.

This is a good place to dine in on any day. Weather you're hungry or just to snack, this is it. They have small & large dishes to pick & choose. I came here with a friend for lunch one day before shopping. To my surprise, I ate more than expected as I had some food just before. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance of this location.

Boba tea is not good here; I ordered a mango and it's obviously made of powder. How do I know this? I bleed boba. Otherwise, I like it here! Our waitress was very sweet and she speaks great English so we weren't hesitant to ask for recommendations. I end up ordering the spam fried rice for my lil monster and hot garlic wings for myself with a side of Tuna Kimbap. It comes with 2 panchan (Korean side dishes) and I really like them both. The relish and the kimchi is much sweeter than what I normally eat, but it like sweet. The hot garlic wings were really good! It wasn't that spicy but it has a hint spice to give it that extra kick. It's crunchy, not greasy and very flavorful. The kimbap was ok with the tuna. I think it's the tuna that really didn't stand out - I'll try something else next time - should have gone with the beef kimbap! Cute little place, it's nice and clean here. I believe it's their 1st or 2nd week of grand opening so go check it out! They also have shaved iced here, should have ordered that instead of the boba.

I was really excited to try this place after reading all the great reviews but yeah, I found it to be squarely average. Maybe it's the stuff I ordered, who knows. I had the fried chicken which was a bit on the bland side, it does come with dipping salt but I wish the chicken itself had a little more flavor. The tuna kimbap was good, just not spectacular. The tornado potato was fun and yummy - my son loved it. I came to place an order for take out and service was friendly and prompt. My favorite part of the whole experience was the halmunee with purple hair - she comes off a little surly but is actually quite sweet. And she's got great purple hair. She'll keep me coming back.

Yummy Place this is ;D I would say this is another korean spot that can help with my kimbob cravings. I love the combos that are offered, and i love how their ddokboki is spicy, along with the chicken katsu plate. The waitress even warned us, so we did level the spice down a notch. The soup that comes with the fish cakes were satisfying as well. So everything that I just listed is actually in one combo. Now when I came here with a friend it was only me and her sharing this, huge amount of food for 2 people, and you could possibly walk out with to-go. The menu was pretty much in korean for the combos, the sweet waitress was kind to translate and told us everything we needed to know according to our preference. I will definitely come back :]

This is supposedly owned by old Don Quixote owners. I gave it a try and it was decent, but not great. I ordered the combo with Ddukboki, Odeng(fishcake soup), donkatsu, and kimbap (paid extra for upgrade to spam). The ddukboki was just whatever. But the spam kimbap and donkatsu was pretty good as well as the odeng soup. I haven't tried their other items, but i imagine it probably tastes like the old Don Quixote place. Try it if you haven't!

We've been coming here a lot lately. Especially after Pepper Garden closed down and Danmooji was renovating. For quick Korean eats on the cheap, this is your spot. This is more like a Korean snack cafe opposed to a Korean restaurant that fills the streets of Duluth. Items on the fairly large menu is pretty inexpensive and overall good. The items we usually get vary from spam kimbap, fried chicken pieces, kalguksoo (noodle soup- so cheap and a big portion), omurice (korean fried rice topped with a big egg omelette), and tonkatsu. The fried chicken pieces are better at Harue Cafe in my opinion but still pretty good here with a large portion. Their kalguksoo is a steal of a deal here though. So what's the problem and why the 3 stars? I just can't get over how the service is lacking here every time we've come. It's disappointing when service falls through the cracks once an establishment starts gaining popularity. We've sat on the patio a number of times and it's far and few between that a server will even come out to check up on you or refill your water when eating in the outside seating area. On top of that when you ask the server for something such as extra napkins, refill on water, or extra banchan (which they don't give a large variety of here) they seem annoyed... There was even a time when we asked our server for something extra and she told us that it's really busy inside right now so if we could wait... No problem, but in my opinion, it's all in the delivery and we are as much important and a paying customer as the paying customer at the next table.

I stopped by Yummy Place for the first time with a pretty large group (about 16 of us) for dinner. The venue space is surprisingly large through it doesn't seem like it could fit that many inside; there was an area of the restaurant where our entire group could sit at a long set of tables, but there were still a decent number of seats/booths scattered around the place. I think Yummy Place is a relatively new area (at least a couple months) but their Grand Opening sign still seems to be hanging from the top, probably to attract any new potential customers, so the inside is relatively clean, which is a plus. My two friends and I split the Combo #2, which comes with 3 odeng in broth (fish cakes on a stick), a large bowl of ddukbokki (rice cakes/vegetable/noodles in a spicy, sweet sauce), a single portion of chicken katsu (thinly breaded, fried chicken cutlet), and a roll of kimbap (the combo originally comes with "yam yam" kimbap, but we changed it to "chamchi" aka tuna kimbap), all for $19.99 -- not a bad deal, considering that we left feeling full and satisfied. The service was standard - nothing spectacular but no strikingly bad encounters with the waitresses. There were a few mixups with orders / portion sizes when they delivered the food to our tables, but they were able to correct the mistakes in a reasonably quick time. Other than that, they came at a good time upon arrival to take orders, pass out plates/side dishes/bowls before bringing out the food, and asking if the table needed any refills. The food itself isn't stellar; since the restaurant specializes in "boonshik", which is considered casual street food in Korea, there's only so much that can be done, but I do feel like the delivery of the dishes and the flavor profiles of each could definitely be better. The tuna proportions in the tuna kimbap is relatively minimal, when considering other boonshik venues like Danmooji, who really stuffs their rolls with a lot of tuna, and the flavor is slightly masked because they include equally sized portions in the rolls of cucumbers/yellow radish/carrots/eggs, so I do wish the flavor was more pronounced. I'm generally not a big fan of ddukbokki, but this ddukkbokki was a little disappointing: the flavor was lacking, didn't have the spicy kick to it like a traditional ddukbokki dish, and had so many vegetables/cabbage in it that there wasn't a lot of rice cakes in it. The chicken katsu was pretty solid! Crispy outside, cooked golden brown, seasoned well - the one caveat would be that the chicken is pounded extremely thin -- when you cut the katsu into pieces, it's difficult to distinguish between the chicken/breading. Overall, it's an okay place. The food wasn't too memorable for me, and I'd probably check out other places if I'm looking for Korean street food.

This place is pretty darn good if you're craving Korean food. Personally, I don't go out of my way to "dine out" Korean but my dear friend Panida A. was craving "Asian" so we looked them up on the Yelp app. & have been craving their food ever since. I definitely agree with Panida A. that their fried chicken is one of their best menu items so I highly recommend you order it at least once. I didn't know what to expect but once we saw their fried chicken & took a bite, we both agreed it was pretty awesome! I'm not even a huge fan of fried chicken & I was completely won over by their version. Lightly battered & fried, the chicken had the perfect amount of crisp and the meat stayed juicy and tender. You do have the option to flavor the chicken but if it's your first time, I recommend that you order the plain fried version and ask for any dipping sauces on the side. Remember: this is a Korean restaurant so they most likely won't have BBQ sauce available, which is what I was craving but they do have their own version of hot red pepper paste. I liked their "banchan" options and of course they came complimentary with our meal. My favorite was the cubed, pickled radishes in red pepper sauce. If you're Korean or familiar with Korean food, you'll know exactly what I'm referring to. We also ordered beef kimbap, omerice & these swirly fried potatoes on a stick. All great add-one to our main fried chicken order as well. Service was fantastic & just hope you end up with one of the younger servers who speaks English and you should be fine. I look forward to introducing this restaurant to my non-Korean friends who would like their first taste at Korean cuisine. Just remember: Order their fried chicken & you won't be sorry!! And a shout out to the lovely Panida A.: Thanks again for the delicious dinner & exploring a new Asian restaurant with me!

Decent place for korean food. But there are soo many other places that offer better korean dishes such as the plaza right before it. I ordered the dukboki with ramen and it was alright. Nothing too special.

We were going to get some takeouts from Dan moo jii, but they were currently closed due to the remodeling. So, we looked at yelp n this place poped up. We decided to give this place a try since they got pretty good reviews. We ordered cheese kinbob, spicy shrimp kinbob, and sujabi, and all of them were pretty good!! Spicy shrimp got a kick to it. Be aware tho!! they put jalapeno in it!! Cheese kinbob was addictive!! Sujabi tasted decent. Kind of remind me of Chinese dumping soup that my mom used to make. I will def come back again and try different stuffs!

This is a good place for your typical korean snacks. Service was good, and they provide some appetizers and soup once you order. Personally I think the kimbap at Danmooji has more flavor and is a little bit cheaper so I would most likely go there for kimbap. I'm not sure if it's just a matter of presentation but I think you get more at Danmooji as well. One thing yummy place has that Danmooji doesn't is the twisted potato stick that's pretty good (you can choose between several flavor seasonings). Wouldn't mind coming back to try the other items in the menu though since their prices aren't bad.
