The Patio: a no-nonsense hub for moms, meetings and muffins. Alright, that probably sounds random, but if you've ever been to this bakery/cafe, those might be the three words that come to your mind too. OR, it could be that I just didn't want to abandon my scheme to catch your attention with my "m" alliteration and so I had to make something up. I guess you'll just have to go to find out! But anyway...aside from being a quaint lunch spot for moms in North Atlanta, business meetings and casual catch-up lunches among colleagues and friends, where they serve tiny, tasty muffins with every meal (that took care of my "m's")--the Patio seems to me to be a no-frills lunch/lite dinner spot that knows its niche and in turn, keeps that niche coming back for more with a simple, yet filling menu. There's nothing really fancy about it--in fact, I would elaborate and say that it has sort of a "family-owned" kind of feel, which I like--a humble establishment with a solid menu of salads, sandwiches and even few casserole/quiche options to keep things interesting, all made to order. I'm a salad girl at heart (and would recommend their spinach salad with strawberries and candied pecans, topped with turkey and balsalmic), but today I decided to stop in for a slice of quiche and a side of fruit--and left pretty satisfied. The portion (as with all the other items I've ever ordered from them) was really generous, so if I wasn't so hungry, I probably would've taken part of it home. AND, let it be noted that in my side of fruit, there was only 1 tiny piece of cantelope--which I appreciate so much seeing as how a lot of places will load you up with that stuff b/c its the cheaper fruit option--but not here; I enjoyed a nice array of grapes, honey dew, and strawberries. I kinda wished they would've had a different kind of quiche available (they usually only offer 1 option on the menu per day for quiche), but I would really say that was my only semi-complaint. All together, if you're out and about and looking for a quick, but still sit-down, lunch/lite dinner I recommend you check it out. There is usually a steady flow of customers in the early afternoon--so don't expect it to be too quiet and be sure to snag a table quickly (inside and outside seating)! If you're a dude, don't worry--there ARE guys there too...it's not totally a girly pIace and they do have more hearty menu options if salads aren't your thing. But no matter who you are, I would definitely save room for dessert--because their display at the register is hard to resist! Yum!

I usually come here for lunch since it's so close to my work. Keep in mind that stay-at-home moms flood this place at lunchtime too. FOOD: I had the taco salad which is grilled chicken on top of shredded iceberg lettuce with tomatoes. It also comes with tortilla chips, a scoop of guacamole, and a small cup of salsa. It was ok. I usually get the BLT sandwich with a side of potato chips, which is very good. The food comes out fast and the service is great! Their bread is so soft. For dessert, I had a slice of their Oreo cake which is chocolate cake with white icing and a few Oreo cookies on top. Very tasty!

This place was packed at lunch when I visited it. You order at the counter, get a number, and they bring the food to you. The menu has your typical deli/bakery flair. The dessert case looked really good. They had all sorts of cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. The food was pretty typical of a bakery cafe. I had a half roast beef sandwich with their Caribbean salad. My kids shared a grilled cheese sandwich. The toffee brownie was really good. The M&M cookie I bought for my kid was really gross. It tasted like there was too much baking soda or something. She had two bites of it and stopped. I thought it was odd that she was passing on the cookie until I tasted it. I guess this is a decent non-chain local bakery cafe.

They have the BEST egg salad sandwiches in town, and the little muffins that they add to every dish are yummy. I would highly recommend this if you are in the area... it's right beside Target.

The purpose of my visit today was to satisfy my craving for an iced sugar cookie. I wanted it to have a fun shape, cute decoration, soft, etc. And my ice cream cone shaped cookie did match these requirements...however, when I got back to my office and prepared to dig in I noticed it felt really small. Like thin. Like Calista Flockhart in that Abby McBeal show thin. I took a bite and holy sugar! The icing was thicker than the cookie! I felt like I was eating a batch of frosting. Where's the cookie? It was virtually non-existent beneath the icing. Gross. Cookie fail. They get 2 stars because the girl at the counter was really sweet. Cookies get NO stars.

Got the hot roast beef sandwich and SO got the chicken wrap. Both were delicious and generously dressed. Not stingy with the meat like most other sandwich places in Atlanta. The dessert cupcakes were outstanding, had to save them for later as the sandwiches were so big and satisfying. And reasonably priced.

I stopped by for lunch with my Mom while visiting over Christmas. I've never been here before, but it's amazing! I had a delicious veggie sandwich with a mixed green side salad + mini cornbread muffin. Their prices are reasonable (definitely competitive with the nearby Panera bread..and better quality, in my opinion).

The Patio makes great salads and sandwiches. They keep things simple and straightforward. We frequently go here for weekday lunches. Highly recommend

Just saw a rat run across the floor in this place. The foods ok, the staff barely knows English and tables are always dirty. I'd wait for the new Panera Bread being built in the same lot before I eat around there. And talk about overpriced.

Good salads, okay sandwiches. My main issues are the noisy dining area with little atmosphere and the often rude staff who seem like they want to be somewhere else. Bakery items are good.
