This is a really cute place in downtown Cartersville. We fell in love with the town the first time we went there and after yesterday's visit to the E Street Tavern, I'm even more impressed with the town. It is inside an old stand-alone building near Main Street and the old Train Station. When you go in, you sit wherever you want. There were several people around the bar. It is a small place, about 30 seats, but with outdoor seating for good weather. The service was great, although I never caught the name of either one. The first server made some recommendations and I went off of her idea for wings and added fries. Their french fries were delicious. Hand-cut thick fries with season salt on them. I asked for the BBQ wings with some garlic added. I think they put Garlic salt instead of pressed or powdered garlic because they were quite salty. Very delicious though! You definitely get your money's worth on the drinks. I ordered Sex on the Beach, which can be made with a few variations, and it was strong. I asked for an extra juice to add to it and the guy was very nice and brought me some. The bathrooms are small, but adequate; however one of the toilets was clogged. The Tavern overall is very clean and I LOVE the rock and wood inside. It adds to the history of the building. Inside are several TV screens with various shows / games running. They have a movie screen inside as well as disco and other lighting possible. The only ones on at the time were the ones over the bar area. There is a TV screen outside as well. I understand they have live music some nights along with raffles and other items. The crowd I witnessed were young adults and some middle aged folks that were there at 5:30 on a Wednesday. As I left I asked one of the servers about the area and living in Cartersville. He was very helpful and had a lot of tips. Very impressed with the friendliness and service. I can't wait to go back 4th of July weekend!

Great place for a cold beverage or a killer jalapeño burger. The chili is unique but worth having. Best waitresses in town.

Great shrimp and grits! While the shrimp were medium size the flavor was extra large. Staff was friendly but limited selection of draught beer.

Stopped by on a whim for lunch (on a gorgeous February afternoon) because I saw the outdoor seating. We walked into the bar and were told to take a seat anywhere, so we chose a table on the outdoor deck. There were smokers next to us, but since the breeze was going the opposite direction, it wasn't an issue at all. The bartender was also the waitress, and she was friendly, timely and doing an awesome job taking care of several tables and patrons at the bar. I didn't have high hopes for the beer selection, but I was pleasantly surprised there were a couple GA brewed beers on draft. The beer came out in a frosted pint glass, and it was perfect! Plus, the price of $4.25 was awesome, considering I'm used to paying $6 for a beer in the city. For lunch, I opted for the southwest grilled chicken sandwich, and it hit the spot! The surprise of the dish was the hand cut sweet potato fries tossed in cinnamon sugar! Overall, if you're looking for a great patio & chill place to grab a casual bite to eat & drink on a gorgeous afternoon, this is where to go in Cartersville!
