When you're in a small town sometimes you just have to settle for the best of what's available. The population of this town was last documented as 2726. They can sling hash, fry potatoes, grill up some protein and drop it on a plate. The potatoes were unseasoned, the biscuit was dry and there was no real butter to rescue it. I detest 'whipped spread'. They also advertise 'free wifi' but don't get too excited, it doesn't work. Oh, and their is mold on the walls in the restroom so hold your breathe.
The place is across from a funeral home, but that's okay...the food is heavenly!
On my last visit home, my mom suggested this place for Saturday morning breakfast. And coming from Los Angeles, I embrace any moment to devour good southern home cooking. And this place does just that. My parents don't eat pork, so out of respect I didn't order any of the bacon or sausage... But looking around, I'm sure to order it next time. So my husband and I just got biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, grits, and eggs. The rents got the Belgium waffles and mushroom omelet. Everything was so delicious. Totally hit the spot. The eggs cooked perfectly, the corned beef hash crisped to perfection just as I ordered it, the biscuits were light and fluffy, the gravy creamy with lots if sausage, and the grits so buttery and seasoned well. My parents' food was also good, but I was so focused on my own. Minus one star for the orange juice..very funky tasting. But other than that, top notch service and food. No fuss, no frills. Just good food. Next visit home, I will try their lunch and dinner. So excited!

I absolutely LOVE the Ivy House! I have visited the Ocala, Williston, and Alachua restaurants and as a teacher, have even brought my entire Kindergarten and First Grade classes to the restaurants as a special "Mommy and Me" event. All of the ladies have been amazing and have bent over backwards to make sure that every need was met. I also chose the Williston location as a treat to all of my bridesmaids after a day of wedding gown shopping. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious!! I would recommend "The Ivy House" to ANYONE looking for a great restaurant to enjoy homemade southern cuisine and attentive staff!
The Ivy House - Ocala, Florida 352-622-5550 Tonight myself and others went to this restaurant to try it out. First mistake was our waiter - who's name is not on our receipt- He was rude and just had a nasty attitude. After finishing our salads, he rolled the silverware on to the table ,just was awful, I told him I wanted clean silverware he never brought them, had someone else bring them over. Upon paying for the meal, he took all the receipts and I said I need my copy, he said oh I thought you didn't want it and I threw it away. The food was good, but, definitely they need to get rid of this waiter. He spoiled all our meals with his attitude. Would I go back NO
Just passing through town, and stopped in for lunch. Very generous portion of fried shrimp with sides, plus a salad. Really liked it!

Horrible experience there tonight. Undercooked shrimp in one of our meals, off tasting tea, and the worst service I've experienced in a long time. Unethical charging for inedible dish and charged for substituting pizza toppings (asked for basil - a sprinkle from a jar - instead of olives!) without notice (on an already expensive combo pizza). This place has zero customer service. We won't be back.
Never again will we dine here! We were excited to try out a new place from our normal places and came here for dinner. We told the waitress it was our first time there and proceeded to order two pasta dishes and a pizza. We asked to substitute a couple toppings from one of their combo pizzas, and she said no problem. Salads were great (though they forgot one and the second didn't come out for a good 10 minutes), but the good stopped there. Our second round of drinks came out tasting funny, when we asked for replacements the waitress huffed at us and said "we are out of tea for the night". We weren't the only ones complaining about the tea, another table was as well. When entrees came out, one of the people in our party received partially raw shrimp in her meal. When we asked the server, she rushed the plate to the back and then came back saying "he said it was cooked, what do you want to do about it". Our friend had lost her appetite and after they didn't even acknowledge their mistake, she said she was fine with just the side salad she already had. Our other entrees were fine, nothing spectacular, but not bad. When we went to pay our bill, we weren't provided with a copy until we paid. We had been charged for adding two additional toppings ($3 to add sprinkled on parmesan and basil in place of other more significant toppings - really?). I asked her why we were charged for substituted toppings. She said "no substitutions - it says it in the menu", she grabbed a menu but it was in fact not there, but she said it was on the old menus. I asked why we weren't told about it, she huffed more and couldn't have cared less. Then our friend went to pay her bill and they wanted to charge her 1/2 price for her shrimp pasta dish ($14 menu price) that she didn't eat any of after seeing the partially raw shrimp. This restaurant clearly doesn't care about customer service in the slightest - we certainly won't be back! If I could give zero stars, I would. There are plenty of other places out there that will appreciate our (and your) business!
I like pizza. I would try many types of different resteraunts. This one is in Williston Florida. I see they have some reviews. Customers are important so treat them well an they will become patrons of your business.

This is the only McDonald's in Williston, but hey at least they have one. This McD's has been remodeled and service was pleasant and my order was correct. I have found service in small towns to be a lot friendlier than big cities, go figure! This McDonald's is located on US 27 at the north end.
Lazy staff are all on their cell phones when the line is headed out the door. This location has higher prices than the locations in nearby gainesville.

The food isn't awful here and since it's the ONLY sit-down place open after 9 for the hour and a half drive between softball practice and home, we eat here at least once a week, after 9. Tonight it was 9:45 (the door states they're open until 10) and they refused to serve our party of six, saying that the dining room was "closed." Nowhere on the door does it give one time for the dining room and another time for carry out. Since we eat here often near closing time, and have never run into this before, I have to assume that it was due to employees wanting to skip out of work early instead of working. From now on, we'll be grabbing Chinese takeout from across the street.
