We really wanted to like this place, because the food is good. However, the service is awful from beginning to end. First of all, when we walked in, they had the same person (on a Sunday morning) as the cashier as the host. So, we had to wait to be seated until others paid their checks. Others were waiting too. So, the whole front of the place was blocked up. Then, this woman brought us to the table, and made others wait to pay their checks. She did not give us menus. The waitress introduced herself, and got us menus and drinks. We ordered. Nobody came around to refill our coffees or waters until the food came out. The food took over 30 minutes to come out. The food was good. The place could use a major upgrade, facilities-wise. The bathrooms look 20 years old. The place isn't pretty, but it's clean. We were 2 families, and the waitress refused to split our check. So, when we got in the line to pay, we had circled what belonged to one family and the balance was the other family's. This was too difficult for the hostess/cashier to process. She told us that she'd take anyone but us, in the long line we were standing in. This pissed us off. And, since the front of the place was crowded from people waiting, it really frustrated us. Despite the good food, we won't be returning to this place. The service is abysmal. We will stick to Lucielle's---best food and best service.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Can't ask much more from a diner. Had a great breakfast experience because grits. Grits. Eat. The. Grits.

I was introduced to this place when I started going to college. I have to say that this place is the epitome of what a mom & pop establishment should be. Very friendly and family oriented with good food at decent prices. I had no reservations about bringing my family here. We've been coming here for the better part of seven years now and don't see any reason to stop coming here.

My best friend & I came here starving on Easter sunday. It has that saved by the bell charm decor. It was busy but we were greeted and sat down right away. Our waiter was friendly and served us coffee in an instant. He was really attentive & I have no complaints on the service. The food was good, typical American diner options. I ordered a garden omelet & a side of bacon. Eggs were a bit dry but it was still good. Overall the place served its purpose and we left full ready to embark on our day.

Ordered the "Mess" for breakfast. Had no taste to it. Biscuits and gravy was horrible too. Oh well, you live and learn. This place has really changed in their food quality. Staff was nice though.

This is the worst diner I've ever gone to, and I'm 58. I love open face hot roast beef sandwiches with French fries...it's the only thing I order at diners. All diners have them. Okay, so they didn't have it. I begrudgingly ordered the hot turkey sandwich. I wish I took a picture to post. It was thinly sliced turkey lunch meat with tasteless white "gravy"...which looked like a congealed, gelatinous mess. The sandwich was white mush with no taste whatsoever. I took a bite added salt, took another bite and put my fork down. My husband ordered a sandwich and I never saw him eat so slow in his life. This food could best be described as what you would expect from the the saddest, cheapest and most disgusting nursing home ever. I hate myself for not following my instincts when I saw the three star rating!

The Weston Diner is your good ole hometown restaurant!! My husband and I have been coming here for the last 4 years and frequent Mike's area (we love him)- he provides great customer service and we never have to open the menu- he knows our orders. The food is excellent! Breakfast portions are perfect for a hearty appetite. My husband is a lover of their cornbeef hash and eggs and I fluctuate from oatmeal or their amazing French toast!!

After eating here since 2009, I felt it was time I gave this place a review. I find other people's reviews helpful so - why not? Anyway I work across the street from Here and I have lunch/breakfast from here quite often. There is nothing I have tried that I haven't liked! With that being said, the tuna is outstanding. I get late night cravings for their tuna salad and fries. I usually order a tuna wrap. As far as breakfast goes, all the omelet are great! My favorite is the spinach and feta cheese omelet. Tina and the staff are always very pleasant. If you haven't been by, you must go!

I had been wanting to give this place a try and wow what a disappointment. From the tacky horrendous way we were not greeted. The hostess/manage said one word when she saw us walk in "2" then a grunt as she swirled over to a table she threw the menus on the table and waddled away. The waitress is polite besides her obvious sketchy meth addict way about her. The food well let me just say. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with ham, I received something that is not even worthy to be served at a prison. I seen better versions of grilled cheese served at hospitals. The cheese is obviously from a brick the bread got toasted In a while oven and they barely meted the cheese in a microwave. My partner ordered a buffalo grilled chicken wrap, basically chicken canned thrown into a microwave heated with tobacco and buffalo sauce. Rolled into a wrap with way to much cabbage. The bathrooms are in need of the health department inspecting. The broken tiles on on the floor from obvious mildew build up is gross.

Let's start out by saying it is a diner. With that expectation the breakfast is ok. Omlett we are big and flavorful. Grits are awful and made with creme. If you like good grits order the potatoes. Grits are no good. Overall for breakfast it is fine. I go often since it is convenient.

I order for delivery once or twice a week. The food is always good, the prices are reasonable (ok not cheap but...) and the delivery is reasonably prompt and courteous. I'd recommend them to anyone.

This place its not Worth it !!! They could use better quality ingredients , this was my second time here! I wanna give this place a second chance but i was more disappointment ! I order the Eggs Benedict ! Was the worse i ever tried ! Very lemony sauce , almost sour , terrible hash browns ! No Flavor ! They use the worst butter for the toast even the coffee its bad ! I give 2 stars because the servers ! Even that my food take forever ! Next time i just prefer to stop by at Mc Donalds in the corner for better food at better price

Just spend over an hour waiting for food in a Diner that wasn't busy. Then, after finishing, sat for another 20 minutes waiting for the check. Food was good but I spent too much of my life waiting for it.

  • Dann D.

Food prices were ok. The lack of flavor in our breakfast was shocking. The hash browns had no flavor but looked nice. I had to pile on a bunch of salt, pepper and ultimately Katsup. To force them down. My sons chocolate chip pancakes were okay. He liked them but I would eat them. The eggs Benedict were okay but not worth the price. The bacon was the only thing that was pretty good. The atmosphere is dirty. This is a place that should be on the TV show where the chef redoes the place and flips tables on the owners. I'm in Weston and I'll stick to my commute for the plantation diner for breakfast.

Great omelettes and the best grits in town, friendly attentive service,a real hometown diner. Very generous portions and prices that do not hurt your wallet. No wonder why they have been in business for many years

AWFUL! If I learned something about myself today is that I will NEVER go to any restaurant again if I do not check Yelp first! I should have known when I walked in and saw the multitude of flies that I should have turn around and walked out. The place is depressing to say the least. The plastic flowers in between the booths is pitiful. A simple order 2 chicken fingers, a turkey club and a grilled cheese. Where did chicken fingers sound like fish and chips? I don't get it. The lemonade taste like garbage. The grilled cheese was okay. It would have been better if it didn't have the greasy onion taste of whatever was made beforehand and obviously not cleaned. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. Naked and Afraid contestants are at a 5 star compared to this place. Sorry, not sorry!

  • ivan G.

Could the place use a renovation? Cleaned up a bit more? Offer a more extensive menu? Yes to all. It still is a great little breakfeast, brunch or lunch nook to get some good food on the cheap. Service is always entertaining and theyre consistent on getting food out quickly.

  • Luis O.

I'm giving this place 5 stars based solely on their grits. They are the most amazing grits I have ever had! The rest of their food is fine, but the grits are out of control!

The lunch menu has very low prices. I have been to this place many times and always found it to be sort of run down, but since my food has always been good, I overlooked it. Yesterday was a low. I ordered a tuna salad over mixed greens. The waitress didn't write it down so before she walked away, I repeated it. She brought me chicken, not tuna as I ordered. The mixed greens (salad) was warm. if you haven't eaten warm salad, I will save you the experience, it isn't enjoyable. My wife ordered chicken alfredo and she wasn't eating the chicken. She said it was bad. I tried it and she was right. Something was wrong with the chicken and that is scary. We were going to lunch here about once per week, but will not do this any longer....too bad.

I wanted to write great things, a stellar review, but other then a clean place, ehhh, closer to two stars then three. Weston Diner, from first appearances, very clean, very new, review ends, whoopee five stars. However, I was once told "Pretty girls are like Ferrari's, great on the outside, but.".....ok you got the point. Upon entering The Weston Diner, we were created by our hostess, who has her back to us, and was talking on the phone, and she wouldn't know were were there to save her life. Another employee walked up and sat us, ok back to redemption. Our waitress appeared, very nice, very pleasant, and we ordered off a very nice breakfast menu. I ordered the Lox, Egg's and Onion's, my friend ordered the two eggs and two pancakes. (I should have ordered that). Well, our waitress failed by never bring water, even when we asked for a second time. We got our order, his was cooked perfectly, mine was a light golden brown, ok that sounds nice for a description of overcooked egg's. I hate overcooked eggs, I wanted to send them back, as they were pathetic, tasteless mounds of rubbery yellow putty, I'm wondering if these are powdered eggs. Now, for his egg'"s and pancakes, they were cooked perfectly, so maybe I was just the one who got punished here. Would I come back, probably not I think it can live up to it's potential, but when we went to pay, the hostess was still on her phone, then again!

My beau and I dined here for breakfast. We found the location on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's a medium sized diner along the lines of mom and pop. Upon entering, a teenager was taking payments and didn't acknowledge several people who desires seating. A seasoned server came behind the counter and asked her if anyone was waiting to be sat, she shrugged and I informed him that we were waiting. He sat us. We had apple juice and my beau also had coffee. He said the coffee was pretty good. I had the Spanish Omelette and he had the Western Omelette. Both come with a side of hashbrowns and your choice of bread for toast. I also ordered a cup of grits. Food arrived quickly and the grits were creamy and well seasoned. The omelettes though.... Lacked flavor. After salt and hot sauce with a dab of ketchup, it was better. I went to checkout and the teenager barely made eye contact and stuck her hand out to receive the payment. Although I love the owner is teaching the child the business, I believe customer service should also be expressed. Since she is a child, I smiled and told her Happy New Year. It could be those awkward teenage years LOL but I'm from the true South were we speak to everyone, I'm still adjusting to FL's abrasiveness. Nevertheless, food was decent and we enjoyed our server.

AWFUL!!! Breakfast was horrible. I asked for soft scramble eggs; received hard dry on top runny eggs on the bottom. The bagel was like rubber could not eat and the hash browns were cold. Would not recommend to anybody. Coffee was bitter tasted like the coffee pot/filter was not cleaned.

The greek salad used to be the BEST EVER! The last few time , not great. I order food to be delivered often because its close to work but they have changed the lettuce in the salad and now its not so fresh. Also , before it was filled w cucumbers, and tomatoes and olives. Today 3 slivers of cucumbers and almost not other veggies. Totally not worth the 10 + $ fee. NOT IMPRESSED.

We forgot that we didn't like the breakfast that we had there on last year's vacations. Hash browns tasted like lard. The coffee wasn't good. The staff was not friendly or attentive. We even saw one waitress sit with customers. The chicken fried breakfast steak wasn't tasty. We will definitely remember not to go again.

Ok let's start from the beginning. I walked in with my friend to see an empty host podium. Then proceeded to wait 5 minutes before the one server came to greet us. We almost walked out but the waitress saw us and sat us right away. Got order wrong first time but then brought out instant mashed potatoes and over cooked, colorless veggies. The blackened chicken was alright but overall, I have to say "meh". Average food, below average service.

Not bad at all, Illeana our waitress was super nice! The food was good, not the best grits in Florida but they weren't bad. A bit pricey for breakfast.

Genre for review: American, Diner Good spot for basic American cuisine in a friendly, cost-friendly environment. What I get: chicken and rice/soup of the day. Best bet: for a quick, basic easy meal.

It your typical dinner foods and atmosphere. The breakfast food is good and lunch is pretty consistent. Unfortunately the service the last few times I've been was dodgy. Forgetting what you ordered or putting things in wrong, and not checking up on your coffee. This is a diner after all, you have done better...

Weston diner is a great place for breakfast. Keep in mind it gets rather full on the weekend but the waitresses will speedily get your orders and get you in and out as quick as possible. Not the totally freindliest place but some of the waitress and waiters are very good. Your typical breakfast items eggs, french toast, hash browns , toast and bagels. Coffee and oj. You will find your regulars come every morning. I personally like the two egg breakfast with hashbrowns, bacon and toast. They have weekday breakfast specials during the week. Lunch is okay, your usual sandwiches and burgers.

"Hot mess." I'm no word purist and just luv nouveau lingo - but the words have to be used properly- the intentions -totally authentic. Like this... The Weston Diner is a hot mess. I am ACHING for a good neighborhood diner. This 'aint it. Why the heck didn't I Yelp this place before I came??? I'm a hot mess. Pancakes for kids--shoe leather. Eggs for mom- overcooked. Coffee- tasted burnt. Prices- ridiculous for the quality of food. I had to run home and Yelp it out of my system. One more time- with bravado -- the Weston Diner is a hot mess. I love words :)

Absolutely disgusting. The place is filthy. Dust and dirt every where. Food was sub par at best. Appetizer of potato skins was dreadful. Over cooked tough and chewy yet swimming in grease. Philly cheese steak was in edible. Meat was gray and tough smelled horrible, had zero seasoning. The only saving grace was the bread. The sub roll was fantastic. My husbands sandwich was equally disgusting, his Reuben was greasy and soggy. It was less than flavorful as well. Robert irvine would have a field day with this place.

I don't know what just happened, but it should never happen again. I ordered the steak and eggs with wheat toast and hash browns and a cup of coffee. The steak was SOUR. Meaning it had either spoiled or suffered from severe freezer burn. Whatever the situation, it was not fit to be served. The eggs were clearly powdered. They were a strange shade of yellow and completely uniform in color - something that is impossible with real eggs no matter how vigorously you whisk the eggs. The hash browns were bland and greasy. Oh, and the steak and eggs were also bland (not seasoned at all) but the other problems were far worse so I focused on those. The wheat toast was acceptable. The coffee tasted burnt and was clearly watered down. I will not return to this place until I see it featured on Restaurant Impossible. I'm literally going over to that website now to see if I can nominate it for a visit from Robert Irvine even though I don't own the place.

This was our first time here. We were visting family and wanted to have breakfast when we checked out of our hotel. The food and service hit the spot. Will go back next time we stay in the area.

Kind of worried the place was empty and previous reviews were not good. Place was actually good. Had the tuna sandwich and fries. Wife had the burger which she liked. Staff was friendly. Business picked up as we were leaving. Its not a Jersey diner but it wasn't bad at all.

Consistently good for breakfast, haven't tried lunch or dinner. The mess is delicious. My husband and I alter it quite a bit but they always get our breakfast right. Wait times aren't too crazy for breakfast on the weekends

I like this place, great staff awesome service food comes out in 10 mins, portions huge for 5.95! During the week is perfect but weekends are packed here, but all in all you should definetely eat here for breakfast.

  • E M.

Service is slow and the food has no taste, for the price it's better to go to The Pancake House. Their interpretation of "good service" is a total 180 degrees from sane people. Where's the negative star rating system when you need it?

one of my favorite diner experiences was at weston diner... coupled with the company...it was one of my favorite days. the service was great. the food was amazing... on top of that, our bill was 12 bucks for 3 people...the servers didnt charge our dessert or drinks. we keep wanting to go back...but i dont think that experience can be topped. thanks for the amazing day!!

I love diners but Weston Diner definitely falls out of that love category. Walking in at dinner time, the place was dead. That alone made me and the lady want to leave. We stayed anyways and grabbed a booth. Menu was very extensive...but all diners are. They had a list of meals and an appetizer on special for the day, which was cool, so we got the app. The potato skins were ok. I seriously have had better. There was a slight burnt taste to them...but I just added more sour cream. Plus they only give you 3. I have never encountered that before but whatever. I ordered the Turkey club and my gf got a cup of soup with a half sandwich. I tasted her soup (broccoli & cheddar) and it was actually pretty good. My sandwich was ok as well but there was one problem... On a turkey club, usually the mayo is put into the sandwich for you. This was not the case at Weston Diner. They had the mayo on the side and that wasn't a good thing. No I'm not lazy, but have you ever taken the toothpick out of a club sandwich and not have it fall apart?! There was no way I could put the mayo on myself, and salvage the sandwich. I had to go it dry. Definitely not a good thing. The waitress was somehow in the weeds with 3 tables, so refills were not abundant. I did like the Blue Plate deal, which added my drink and a dessert to my meal for $2.95. I got the chocolate mousse, which was really good. It was very moist and very flavorful. I don't plan on visiting Weston Diner anytime in the near future. There are plenty of other diners out there that are way better.

You can't go wrong with Weston Diner. I don't know why this place had bad reviews. The items on Breakfast and Lunch menu are really good. Haven't tried their dinner menu yet. Recession Buster Deal are dirt Cheap. We work close to this place and order from there all the time. This is one of the few places where I have found yelp review to be inaccurate!!

  • Juan R.

OMG, Not good at all I had not look at the rating on Yelp before having breakfast, and what a big mistake Eggs Benedict were not toasted, little to none sauce it tasted like grease. The rest of the order was not even placed as server forgot! Horrible Service will not be back. Hope this helps.

Low quality food. Terribly cooked. Poorly served. I have gone here twice and will never return. There breakfast is terrible. The waitress just dropped the food and disappeared. The waitresses are always talking and laughing in the kitchen. This place is consistent - consisitenly bad.

  • Jordan N.

This tacky American diner was packed when I arrived on Sunday morning. But, I don't think the reason is because of the food quality. It's more about the quantity as portions are large. The coffee was drip coffee (they did not have any other option), the pancakes tasted like Aunt Jemina's (the actual powder from the box) which tasted fluffly and tasteless, and the sausages were thick and tasteless. Granted, I ordered a kid's meal (approx. $5, not so cheap for that sort of thing) and the portion for the kid's meal was HUGE - I was stuffed even though I only wanted to eat small bites. This place is where obesity begins.

  • Josie P.

This place is quickly becoming my Sunday breakfast ritual. I'm an early bird and I enjoy reading my morning paper while I have breakfast. I usually arrive between 7 - 7:30am and the place is still relatively quite..... give it about another 1/2 hour and it's a different story, in a good way though. I order my usual, Belgian waffle with strawberries, hash browns , bacon and of course my oj & coffee. The waffle is perfect - a bit crunchy on the outside, warm and moist on the inside, the strawberry sauce is loaded with freshly sliced fruit and the whip cream (when requested) is good enough to eat alone . Combine these 3 items and I'm in heaven. The hashbrowns are cooked just right and my bacon is cut thick and never greasy. The waitresses are extremely attentive , regardless how busy they may get and your cup of coffee is never empty !! I love to sit and see the "regulars" come in and sit at their routine spots and chat it up with the waitresses and host/hostess, gives it even more of that hometown feel. I've never been there for anything but breakfast so I have no idea what the rest of the menu is like as breakfast time has a menu on it's own.
