I visited this place last night and was impressed by not only the amount of selection, but the quality, taste, and size of the food. The Miso soup was excellent, as was the Volcano Chicken. Keep in mind that the sizes are are large that you can definitely share if two people have similar tastes and desires for the dishes. The services was very attentive and made great suggestions. They were also very honest in telling you what isn't all that great and making suggestions for things to try that in some circumstances were cheaper than the original dish you were going to order. Overall, a great experience and I'd go there again.

I haven't tried the Japanese items here, but the Thai food is just OK and the service is HORRENDOUS. An hour long wait for the wrong dishes, and not apologetic at all. The curries were bland and the Volcano Chicken was dry. Weston needs a better Thai restaurant.

This place is ok. It's very dimly lit. We had to use flashlights and our cell phones to read the menus. The food was pretty good, but expensive. I got the whole fried snapper. It was cooked well, but it was not as flavorful or spicy as I would have liked. My kids enjoyed the sushi, which seemed fresh. My parents got the hot soup, which was very tasty. Overall, it was good. I would go again if I was with other people who wanted to go.

I have done take out many times and the food is good. Chicken pad Thai has a nice flavor and is served as a very large portion. Ginger dressing for salad is also very good.

Pretty standard thai/sushi menu with the usual sushi, curries, and stirfry options. Also, thai iced tea, sake, and other drinks. They did have two types Japanese whisky, which was impressive. We tried a few sushi rolls and they were quite good. The one curry I tried was also very tasty. Some members of the party didn't care for their stirfry dishes at all, but I can't really speak to that. For me the big downside to this place was that the service was incredibly (and I mean incredibly!) slow and occasionally forgetful.

This place isn't too bad. First time I have ever tired a sushi place in Weston. The decor was very nice inside and the service was good. They had some sort of sushi lunch special so I got that. The food was too bad, the sushi seemed to be fresh. It wasn't the most amazing meal ever but it was good. The miso soup came with the meal and was flavorful. I would suggest you try them. Lunch was a good deal.

The interior of this place is soo beautiful and hip, I love it. The food is amazing as well. I usually get sushi when I go here, but the Thai food ain't so bad either. Their rolls are delicioussssssssssss

I regularly travel up to Weston for Moon Thai -- but not for much else as Weston has become a foodie desert, but that's another story. The menu(s) are huge and everything I've tried has been executed very well. Never been in their kitchen but they must have a workshop of elves in there. The place is pretty big, has an enormous variety of dishes, and the food comes out very quickly. Not sure what they do but other restaurants should pay attention or kidnap some of their elves or something. The biggest downside is the noise level. During busy nights you will have a tough time carrying conversation. I agree with previous review that their sushi is actually some of the best in the area. Makes for great appetizer when you want curry but need a raw fish fix. Oh, and full liquor bar doesn't hurt either!

If you miss the old special rolls they used to serve at Stir Moon, they have all of them here! Apparently the two restaurants combined and now they have the best of the Thai and Japanese menu items all here. This will definitely be regular stop whenever I'm in Weston.

I would give this place 3.5 stars. We ordered way too much food and most of it was good, while others were less than stellar. The thom yum soup was bland and the pork dumplings too salty and room temperature. However, the chicken drumsticks were excellent: crispy yet tender on the inside. My friend had the grilled salmon which was massive but very well cooked. I had the chicken Penang curry, which was okay. The restaurant does brisk business (it was packed at 9 pm), and I'd probably go back to try their Japanese menu.

Went for the first time and ordered the pad see-ew lunch plate. It was delicious and a good-sized portion. I would definitely go back.

Good seaweed salad. Limted veg friendly menu. Dark/intimate dining atmosphere.

We had been going here for years but tonight we realized this place really took a turn for the worse. Not sure if it is under new management BUT it is awful!!! The food was inedible and we walked out not having even eaten. The sushi tasted like a burnt ash tray - it was disgusting. We DO NOT recommend going to this restaurant for any reason. Stay away and go somewhere else!!!!

  • Mandy H.

Great decoration but foods are horrible. Horrible service, doesn't matter if they are busy or not. Their servers will only take your order and bring you the food. Service like of like Cafeteria. Food are expensive and not worth it. If you have to go there pick their Thai Menu, because the Japanese menu is horrible.

Amazing place! The ambience is so beautiful and relaxing! The booth for large parties in the back is comforting and super cozy!! The food was really yummy, delicious and favorable! Not a single dish that I didn't like all great portions and very well presented! We always eat at the Coral Gables one and tonight was a first at the Weston one and frankly I loved it even more!! We had ordered 2 red chili fish, 2 large tom soups for the table, 1 beef stew, 1 veggie fried rice, 1 sweet and tangy chicken, 1 pad thai, 1 volcano shrimp, white rice, and drinks and green tea! We were a party of 8 people. All for 150.00 and we took left overs home!! Great deal and place! Totally recommend it! Staff was very friendly and welcoming!

  • Nainy D.

From the outside the place did not look very good however, when we stepped in - it was beautiful! The food was delicious and our server was very good. We had some of the best sushis and Thai curry here. I would kill to go back to this place!

Extensive menu. Everything from Thai food, sushi, tempura, variety of noodle options. Basil fried rice and tiger tear are excellent. Recommend the salad with the peanut dressing over the soup option. Edamame is excellent for lunch that is served with your choice of steak, chicken. Service is quick so perfect for a lunch spot. Atmosphere is modern casual. If you are shopping for lighting, stop by- they have dozens of different lights throughout!

Visited this restaurant for lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was a very mixed experience. The food itself was good, but the service was slow, and the server rarely checked on us. Other than that the place has an awesome atmosphere, if you are willing to risk it on the service definitely visit.

One of my favorite places! I've been here quite a few times and I love it every time and just want to bring everyone I know. I recommend this place to everyone. I love that there are separate menus for Thai and Japanese and there's a lot of options too! I also love the decor. My boyfriend and I went here for our first date and he always wants to go now! He loves the Tiger Tear Salad. My favorites are the Dragon Roll and Pineapple Fried Rice. So good. And I can't forget about the tempura fried ice cream for dessert!! The only thing I don't like is the papaya salad. It's very bland. But I'm still giving this place 5 stars.

The best Thai place ever!!! The environment looks nice and clean. I ordered the duck soup noodles and it's amazing! Authentic crispy duck plus delicious noodle soup made my tongue a luxury journey. Strongly recommended. Definitely will come back.

A noble try at sophisticated sushi, but the quality of ingredients and flavor profiles miss the mark. Rice was a little hard and unseasoned, fish wasn't the freshest. There was this tuna appetizer that was really good though. Tuna Tataki.

You would think that since Weston is a pretty affluent community, that you would find some really nice restaurants, but there virtually is not any. I usually order takeout from Moon Thai & Japanese and it pretty good so we decided to head there for the evening to have a little family dinner. The restaurant has a beautiful setup up and since we had such a large party, we were seated in the back in a semi private area which made the ambiance even more appealing. I have the need to ease into my eating with a bit of alcohol (really I just like drinking) so I ordered a Sake Mojito. It was pretty good. The sake blended well into the drink. I have ordered from here countless times, but never had their sushi, so as an appetizer we ordered a Mexican Roll. It of course was good and I am disappointed that I hadn't ordered sushi from here years ago. I didn't want to get the Pad Thai and Fried Rice as my main because that is what I always get, but others in my party did and like always it was very good. I decided to instead get the Crispy Duck. The duck was awesome, but even though I ordered the lunch portion, it was very small. My sister and I have an obsession with Thai donuts so we ordered two for the table. Not even five minutes passed before they were all gone because clearly everyone else has an obsession too. A little family, a little food equals an amazing time.

I was really looking forward to Moon Thai, to get a fix of Thai food. I like the fact that you can choose your protein, and even your heat (from a scale of 1-5). They even offer you, with some dishes brown or white rice. However, the finished product did not live up to my expectations. Cashews in my curry were burnt. The only vegetable other than undercooked potatos were green peppers. There were quite a lot of these--too many for the proper balance in the dish. There was no avocado in the curry, as stated in the menu. The curry was very thin, almost soup like. I ended up grabbing a bowl at home, and changing my fork for a spoon. Service was fast. Music was loud--not sure I'd eat there. People were shouting across the tables to be heard. Most families were eating outside--probably to save their childrens' eardrums.

On a Saturday afternoon we stumbled into this restaurant because we were in the neighborhood and looked for restaurant recommendations on Yelp. We discovered that the restaurant itself is well-decorated and clean. Once we sat down we were presented with complimentary champagne/mimosas. We were off to a good start! We tried sushi and cooked food. Everything tasted great! Since that Saturday, we've been back just about every weekend and a few times at night. The food is consistently great and the service is excellent. We ask for Josie to be our server but have had good service from others as well - she just makes us feel that she's entertaining us in her home and it's important to her that everything is presented perfectly. The sushi guys and kitchen staff are equally concerned about our satisfaction. They make the best grilled hamachi kama (fish collar) we've ever had - there has to be at least 6 ounces of fish per collar and there are two in the order. The usuzukari (thinly sliced sashimi) is not only well sliced and presented, it is creamy and fresh tasting. From their salad dressings to the Asian fusion cooked dishes, we just love everything we order.

  • Mimosa N.

I spoke too soon! After countless visits to Moon Thai, it looks as though they've decided to omit some of my favorite dishes from their revised menu and the portions are now quite smaller, yet pricier, as well. Sad, sad day.

Excellent food, ambiance was cool.. Got the spicy pad Thai , spring rolls & lettuce wraps - for 2. Big screen for the game which was a plus, - service was below poor. Non-existent.

Love this place! I go there all the time and get the Magic Moon Roll (Mango). The back part of the restaurant is really nice - recently renovated. It has an urban feel to it and the sushi is always really fresh and delicious. The soups are awesome too

  • Liz C.

This restaurant was terrible. The worst Thai and Sushi I have ever had. If you know anything about these types of foods then this place will be a disappointment. The food was tasteless and way overpriced! We were not impressed by this place and it's mediocre food. Find a more authentic place and go eat there. Not worth the money at all.

Thai and Japanese sushi/sashimi-o-rama! Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Fridayand came back for an early Sunday dinner. Lots to choose from from Pad Thai to a huge assortment of sushi rolls. Check out the "new rolls" menu- great variety there. $4.00 per piece of the premum sushi - a little pricey considering this place is not a "fine" restaurant- but worth it. Service is very attentive. Everything tasted yummy.

  • Celine C.

I came here for lunch the other day. There were many things to choose from for the lunch menu but the price is almost the same as the dinner menu. I ordered the chicken with basil sauce and brown rice. The food was just okay. It didn't have enough basil taste. My server was excellent and made sure our drinks are refilled. No problem with the service.

Good food. Nice modern atmosphere. Its a nice place for a date, for the family or even girls night out. They are also a great choice for takeout and never mess up an order. The food is all good. I mostly go there for Thai but I have had their sushi and its good. But the sushi prices are high to crazy high so if sushi is what I primarily want there are other great choices nearby.

Went for lunch. Ordered one of their special combos for lunch, affordable price, good quality, like to complimentary soup and salad (specially the ginger dressing) cant wait to come back and try the avocado salad that looked great

Ooohhh, pretty! Nice decor, and good sushi. I ate solo at the bar and had the lunch special. Good amount of fish for the price. Def be back!

  • Mauricio B.

Quality of food is consistently good, and their variety of Asian dishes is great. Also, now that remodeling is finished, the place looks very nice. They have a new bar area that is very modern and chic, and also has a few large TVs.

Hands down the best thai food in south florida! The curries were authentic, tasty with high quality ingredients! They're not afraid to add the spice upon request :) Everything we ordered (both thai and Japanese) we're amazing. In addition, the decor is beautiful and staff was very friendly. Equally perfect venue for lunch with the kids or dinner/drinks with the girls or date. I won't eat at any other thai restaurant after eating here - it is very delicious and healthy!

Great! I've been coming here for 14 years and I would say this is the best in Broward. I compare all sushi places to this one. Great variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and hot dishes. Their Sea of Love, Dragon, and Magic Moon are my favorite rolls. I probably come here once a week.

First walking in to the restaurant, there was a strange odor lingering throughout. We were ready to walk out but very hungry so we agreed we would try it. Server could not describe much. Miso soup tasted like diaper water. Main entrees left a lot to be desired. Ran out to have dessert some place else just to have a different taste in our mouths. Never ever again.

Best Pad Thai I've ever had. I love Thai food and have tried many Thai restaurants in Miami. This one far exceeded my expectations. Fast service and great cool vibe. It's a must eat.

  • Oscar R.

It used to be a good restaurant, but now it has become an average one. They renovated the place not too long ago, but the quality of the food and the service, by hiring part time waitress and maybe students, has degraded the whole experience. Maybe this is a good joint for youngsters, but it is far from being a good restaurant. It is more now like a food court kind of place.

  • Trisha G.

Love, love, LOVE this place! It's hands down my BF's and my-self's favorite sushi place! It has two menus, one Japanese and on Thai with very unique dishes, not just your general sushi place. The staff is very attentive too. If you love sushi this place is a must try. The salmon truffle is my personal favorite dish, the duck is great too.

  • Tiffany G.

Pad Thai was hot and fast. Four seasons roll is my favorite!

  • Stuart S.

I have never been a fan of Asian restaurants that serve food from a variety of countries. If you sell sushi then only sell Japanese food. If you serve Pad Thai then only serve Thai food. If you serve Pho then only serve Vietnamese. Any one country should have plenty of dishes to serve. Canada, Mexico and the United States are all in the same continent, but I have never been to a restaurant that serves all three cuisines under one roof. Now, let me step down from my soap box and contradict myself by saying that Moon Thai serves among the best sushi in Broward County. They have a huge selection of sushi and sashimi, and many of their rolls are creative. I love a sushi place that uses conch in their rolls too! If you venture to order from the Vietnamese section of the menu then I would tell you to hold off and order your Pho somewhere else. The Thai food is also good here, but better at an all exclusive Thai restaurant. On my goal to try different cultural foods I can say that I have tried Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese food.

I didn't like the presentation of the food! And had the Boston Roll and all I could taste was the lettuce! Not what I was expecting! Server was nice tho!

Yet to disappoint me. Consistently good, fresh and well prepared. Curries are especially well done. Servers are knowledgeable and prompt.

Excellent Thai place in Weston. Best Pad Thai I have found (and I've had Pad Thai at least 5-10 different Thai Places in South Florida). Excellent Panang Curry and Fried Rice as well.

  • Diane P.

This place looks awesome. Very hip bar and decor! The waiter we had was great.. He definitely went above and beyond.. The food was good. Appetizers were delish! Entrees - pad Thai was good ... Chicken teriyaki (hubby's dish) was just ok.. I would recommend this place... Food was pretty good.

    (4)
  • Brian S.

I can't get enough of the Pad Thai here... I like it VERY spicy too. Sometimes it is better then others, but still usually really good. I do think the sushi has too much rice on it, one of my pet peeves. This for me, is a Thai restaurant.

Best Thai food in south FL. Cant recommend for Sushi, never tried it there.

  • Nicole T.

I had a decent time at this restaurant. It has a casual atmosphere and is very family friendly. It offers both a Thai and Japanese menu, which I thought was interesting. I do not have a lot of experience with Thai cuisine, but my food was tasty and well seasoned. I had the beef satay as an appetizer, which came with a yummy peanut sauce. I liked the sauce because it actually had peanut chunks in it, not your typical smooth dressing. For dinner I ordered the stir sauce chicken, which reminded me of chicken teryaki. It was decent, had plenty of meat, and came with brown rice and veggies. For being such a casual place though, I felt that the prices were a bit high, and service was a bit slow. I will give it another try though and maybe order something a bit more exotic!

  • Dog F.

This place used to be a favorite. The sushi is always good however the services suck. So we stopped going. I was in Weston and figured I try it again after many months of boycott. Place was fairly busy for lunch. I sat at sushi bar were there were no other guests. I said hello to all 3 sushi chefs. After that I was ignored by all sushi chefs and no waitress ever came. Good sushi, super bad service!!!!

  • Anthony C.

This place overall is just a solid local Japanese/Thai restaurant. It plays the role of being a restaurant that serves above average food in an unpretentious, trendier setting while also being family friendly. I think that's why this place has found success because they balance these facets with ease. The food is definitely your standard Japanese/Thai favorites. Think Pad Thai, Satay, Ginger Beef, etc. Although your standard dishes, I find the quality to be above average. Plenty of flavor, consistent, fresh ingredients. It's definitely not "watered down" if you know what I mean. My favorites will always be the noodle dishes like the Pad Thai. The service has never been a problem. They are genuinely interested in your dining experience by helping you navigate the extensive menu and suggest dishes. I feel lucky to have such a swell place near by, and I have definitely enjoyed many an experience here with friends, family, dates, etc. For good Thai/Japanese food in West Broward this place fits that bill!

    (4)
  • Maria P.

Not worth it, the place is nice but their menus are ridiculously long and confusing. Maybe that's is why their food is so bad, a smaller menu done right I think would go a long way in this place. Never coming again, their noodles are nasty!

Most convenient location for sushi adjacent to the Cleveland Clinic. Still HATE HATE HATE that outside of California, most sushi restaurants that I go to make you order from a server, who puts the order into the POS, then it prints out an order in front of your face at the sushi bar where one of the chefs is waiting, then they make your dish, put it off to the side to wait for a server, who later picks it up to bring it around the bar to you. Can we please disseminate some real Japanese sushi bar culture around the country please?! A sushi chef should be in charge of his restaurant. Not stuck in a Japan/Thai/American fusion bar where he becomes a work horse for take out and table orders for customers that he never sees. The reason that I have come to love sushi so much is growing up in southern California we had a great relationship with the few sushi restaurants we visited. The chefs should talk to the patrons, recommend fresh fish or special dishes, and serve them directly. I know that it gets ridiculous once you have a whole restaurant full of people ordering sushi from the bar but you need to keep up the interaction and quality or else you might as well go to the grocery store and pick up some pre-made california rolls. As far as I can tell on a weeknight the three chefs here kept up well with the restaurant and take out orders pretty well. The mixed sushi plate that I got along with the one special made in japan roll were good. A lot of the other special rolls looked good as well and I would be willing to go back to try them.

The good: Consistently good Thai and Japanese menu. Great curries, soups, appetizers. Pretty solid in general - with a few unusual & interesting entries. Nice ambiance and seating options. Service wise, always polite and generally fast. Also a big fan of the Vietnamese-like condiment/spice offerings on table, at the ready. The bad: They need to stick to their core competencies - Thai and Japanese food only. Hate the multiple menu system (they typically hand you 3-4 different ones - some with repetition - confusing). Attempted a few of their dim sum options once - would not recommend. Think that they are also on the pricey side, but their portions are large and easily sharable family style. Overall, I would recommend it. Certainly the best Thai & Japanese food in Weston. Glad they're in the neighborhood.

  • Roger K.

I am a big fan of this place. I have been here a few times for lunch and have not been disappointed yet. I always order the same thing, chicken and shrimp pad thai, and it is always delicious. They always ask you how spicy you want it on a scale of 1-5 and they always make it right. I have always been seated right away and the service has always been friendly. No bad things to say about this place. I will be back.

I think this place is overrated for the quality of food vs price. If you want good sushi for a reasonable price id go elsewhere.

  • Val T.

Totally Meh ! We were a party of 7..the sushi seemed to be a hit. But my dish the Octopus custom stir with Thai sauce was sub par at best ! My girlfriends Peanut sauce shrimp stir was HORRID . Def will not return.=(

  • YY. Y.

The Thai food offered here is savory and well seasoned. Good portions, as well. The sushi is also as delicious, although, a bit pricey- then again, it is located in Weston. I frequent the restaurant for take out considering the dimly lit atmosphere is rather suspicious (why the low lights? I need to see what I am eating.) Nonetheless, if quality of food is what matters most, Moon Thai is a definite hit. The dining experience as far as the milieu is concerned....questionable.

The flavor here is on point! I had the yellow curry with chicken. I loved it accept for one thing. I asked for my dish to be very spicy and I tasted very little heat. To me it seemed like I got mild. So I asked our waitress for the normal tray of dried chiles, chili sauce, and chili oil. I also asked for some freshly chopped Thai chiles. She said," We don't have any!". WHAT?? My next question was," Well what do you put in your food?". Her reply was," Just the dried chiles you have right there!". I was floored how is it that a Thai food restaurant does not have any fresh Thai chiles? So that's why I am only giving them 4 stars. I forgot to mention that the waitress brought out this green hot sauce that was delicious but it was a little sweet and was still not not spicy at all.

    (4)
  • Janis A.

If I could give this place negative stars I would.. Even giving them 1 star is nice. The service was slow, and our waitress only came to our table 2 times. To take get our drink order and to get our food order. We never saw her again. The food had NO flavor whatsoever and the price was not worth it. $10 for a fried rice with 4 pieces of chicken and the rest was just rice with onions and a little egg. I stayed hungry from such a small portion of food so I ordered the tempura ice cream. & that was bad also! I couldn't believe that. It has barley any ice cream, just tons of cake batter. If you're looking for a nice Thai spot check out red Thai in Hollywood or silver spoon, better prices and the food is authentic!

This was my second time I've been here, and the first time I got the Unknown combo and this time I got the Blue Moon(?) combo. I was a little disappointed the second time around because the sushi roll that I order simply said Salmon and didn't advertise that it was cooked, and I asked for them to add cream cheese, while they did add cream cheese, they omitted the asparagus that was suppose to be inside of the roll. There are so many choices, like to the point that it is just too much. There are 3 lunch special menus, and then 3 bound menus. It got to the point when it was stressful picking out something to eat. The sushi was good, and the fish was very fresh. I also got a seaweed salad which was plentiful for its price and tasted amazing. Overall a good recommendation.

I've been going to Moon Thai for a few years now, but they recently renovated the restaurant by expanding the space and updating the decor to achieve a chic, dimly lit yet open atmosphere, offering an ideal setting for an intimate meal or a family outing. The food here is consistently good. The sushi is fresh and the Thai dishes, although moderately priced, are served in generously sized portions. Unfortunately the service was sub par. The waiter never came to fill up our water, and when I asked if I could get my sushi made with brown rice (after ordering but before appetizers received) the waiter kind of smirked and said "I'll have to see if it's been made yet." Furthermore, there was a cackling group of drunken Westonite women in the back that seemed to echo throughout the restaurant. But I can't blame Moon for that one -- that's just one of the unfortunate drawbacks of living here. I'll continue eating here because the food is good and there are only about 5 restaurants in all of Weston.

Great place in weston for Thai food. The Bagdad chicken is a nice blend of flavors. Bar tender tries every drink they make until it's perfect. Drinks are quite good. Nice ambiance. Doesn't feel like you're in weston.

  • Cherie L.

Mediocre food and very expensive. Would never go back.i guess there are not many good restaurants in weston and that is why it is so busy. Definitely not worth visiting this restaurant. CL

  • Kin C.

I must say that although their food was pretty good, these guys will only be getting 2 stars from me. The reason: service. I firmly believe that even if the food is good, but the service is bad - customers won't have good memories of the restaurant. The 3 main things that bothered me are as follows (not in any particular order): - Never stopping by to check for drink refills (or ask if we needed anything) - Taking absolutely forever (probably ~15+ minutes) to bring us our checks - A broken promise for cake for our friend's birthday replaced with a quarter of a peeled orange. Having said that, I ordered the curry at the restaurant and I did enjoy it. My co-workers and friends seemed to have enjoyed their specialty entrees as well.

Great atmosphere, full bar and amazing food! Whether you try the Japanese or the Thai both are great. they even have a beautiful room for a private party in the back. I'll definitely come back as its worth the trip from Fort Lauderdale.

Not only is the food great the owners and managers have created an environment that is one of the best in Weston. One of my favorite places to eat all the time.

  • Jody M.

Nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. The lunch portions are generous and the fish is fresh. The only complaint I have is that the menu is entirely too big! It provides a lot of selection with Thai and Sushi but there are literally 4 menus presented when sitting down for lunch, which is a bit daunting.

Good Thai food and service. The interior is impressive as well. Great for a date or to meet up with some friends for dinner and drinks. They have a good amount of thai and japanese dishes, including sushi.

Excellent!! Someone treated us here for our anniversary dinner. Coming from Singapore and having been to Thailand a few times, we really know the Thai cuisine. And this was definitely one of the good ones. We had the Coconut shrimp, grilled tilapia and pad kee mow chicken. Each one of them had great flavors and tasted really authentic. A must try here is the Key lime cheesecake tempura. The portion sizes are really huge!! So if you are not a heavy eater, suggest you order 1 portion to share or you can get the box ready :-). We didnt even look at the japanese menu as we were not fans of the cuisine(yes!! We dont like Sushi or sashimi teriyaki!!). But they have a pretty elaborate Japanese menu as well.

This place is hit or miss. I've had amazing sushi, Pad Thai, and curries here before...and then I've visited and left very underwhelmed. The drinks are very light and overpriced, and while the sushi bar is the high point here, the kitchen food leaves a lot to be desired. They also don't offer much in the way of family dining. My sons have ordered teriyaki steak that has been anything from a decent-sized seasoned steak to a tiny, rubbery throwaway cut. There's better Thai and Japanese food around...sushi is decent, though.

The first time I ate at this location I was wowed by the food and and cool ambiance. My issue was how poor my service was. The waitress literally made me feel like everything I said was wrong and I was a burden to her. I was extremely uncomfortable, to the point I almost asked her if I offended her. Either way the pad Thai is great. If you really like it spicy I recommend getting it 4/4 on their scale. 3/4 didn't exactly cut it for me. The second time around I order my meal as take out. The meal didn't wow me this time. I will be sure to update if I ever go again, but a mix of the poor service and decent take out makes me question if it's worth my time in the future.

I've eaten here on multiple occasions and have always been pleased with everything I've ordered. I've never actually had a full course meal here, mostly sushi rolls and appetizers. The atmosphere is very elegant and impressive. The service has been very good as well but everything is a bit pricey.

Freshest sushi I've ever had. Pad thai is huge and delicious, I order it 4+spicy and love the runny nose afterwards. I always get the Tom Yum Kai soup (no coconut milk). The Mee Krob is decadently delicious but must be shared. Steamed buns are tasty, dumplings are awesome. Sticky rice, when they have it (they only make one pot and it runs out fast) is amazing.

Have not been here over 5 years / service and food was just okay then. Was in the area last month with family for burgerfi in the same complex. Walk around into the Japanese restaurant to find out that the interior / menu has changed and the host (male) ask me to sit down. I told him that we had food order next door and I just came by to see whats going. He said please give us a try again next time / I said no problem. This month I went over there and order 802 pad see eiew and mongolian beef roll for take out by stephine the order came out $26 I was a bit shock on the price but I'm from NYC and the prices are more reasonable. But I'm in Ft Lauderdale / Weston so i guess why not spurge. Take out was quick and went home to eat. Mongolian Beef roll with sarachi sauce was great. But the pad see eiew was terrible to much sugar and the flat noodles was to over cook / soft or made wrong. I call back and talk to Stephine that the flat noodles was uneatable maybe its me (asian) but noodles are terrible to my surprises she told come I make some else for you. Got there I was greet by Stephine / Ms Nam already had a replacement with different noodle dish so they apologized for the flat noodles dish and told me to come again. I was like wow this is the kind of service that people should have all the time. Next time my family is in town I bring them to MOON THAI / Japanese.

Giving three stars cause the food is pretty good, but recently visited for lunch and sat for 10-15 minutes and didn't get a waiter to get our drink order so we left. We will be back cause of the food but hopefully will Atleast get some glasses of water within a few minutes of us sitting at a table.

At first I was going to deduct a star from my rating for this restaurant because when I first arrived I asked to sit outside and was told the host would be right out with a menu for me. I waited nearly ten minutes before I got up and went inside to request some service. From there, I have no further complaints so I am letting it slide and giving this restaurant five stars. I came for seaweed salad. I left beyond satisfied with my meal. The seaweed salad was very tasty and a nice portion for the price. I ordered the paradise combo for my meal and didn't even expect three giant sushi rolls for $15. It was all delicious and I couldn't even finish. The ginger was fresh and the presentation was lovely. My waitress was also very attentive and more than made up for the mishap when I first arrived. I will certainly return for more yummy goodness sooner rather than later.

When craving sushi and I don't want to drive far out of Pembroke Pines I typically come here. Their Pad Thai is just simply amazing and the sushi is always fresh tasting. Great verity of food which I have never tasted anything from their kitchen that I can call bad. I normally stick to sushi and sashimi so I can't speak about many of their dishes but I'm sure you will not be disappoint. Service is always very nice, respectful and the ambiance is great. Food comes out in a timely manner so no complaints. There is nothing negative about this place that comes to my mind. The decor and lighting gives it a very modern cool vibe. Come check it out for yourself.

Went to this restaurant on a casual "family dine out" and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had such a vast menu offering both Thai and Japanese food. Their combination fried rice was to die for, definitely a must try! The ambiance was phenomenal with lavish decor and marble high top tables. Something out of the norm and refreshing. With great prices and great food I will definitely be back!

I can not for the life of me understand the reasoning behind all these restaurants that are purposely designed to be as loud as possible. Particularly a restaurant located in a suburban strip mall. Been here many times. The food is always either very good or excellent but the deafening noise makes it an unpleasant dining experience. If it wasn't for the noise I would have probably awarded 4 stars.

Avoid sushi, Thai is the way to go (though the sauce is overpowering sometime) Service is super nice here and food comes out fast.

Mixed feelings about this place. Nice, modern decor inside. Menu is vast. The sushi tacos were interesting. I haven't tried the Thai dishes yet. I was going to, but when I went into the bathroom to wash my hands, a chef came out of a toilet stall after flushing and walked out without washing his hands. That disgusted me enough to tell the bartender. Not sure if anyone spoke to him, but I described who he was. Thankfully for me he wasn't a sushi chef. He walked into the back kitchen and I walked out. If that was an isolated case, I'd say this restaurant has promise.

One of the best places to get sushi in the area. Sushi is my favorite food so I know when it's good and when it's fresh the yellowtail sashimi you could tell was frozen and thawed more than one time. Spicy Tuna rolls are a must for me in any sushi bar, although the Spicy Tuna Roll was good I wouldn't settle because the Spicy Lover Roll will blow you away! Take out is just as good as sitting in the actual location! Around 3 in the afternoon is prime time best service and not crowded. A small appetizer and sushi is good for the average person. Thai menu is phenomenal! Pad Thai is my favorite. Four people is around $100 including 2 desserts! Perfect place for kids but let them explore their options don't just hand them the kids menu if you're scared they'll order something to big start by giving the appetizer menu if they want sushi ordering from the kids menu is not a good choice. The desserts are sure to amazing Banana Tempura, Tempura Ice-Cream, and Thai Doughnuts are always something that everyone will love. Mix and match get 2 of the same or 1 and 1 either way Moon Thai will not disappoint.

Highly recommended. I went in for dinner one night with some coworkers and had a great experience. The service was great and the food was excellent. Thai boat noodle soup is my favorite along with the chirashi sushi.

Some of the best thai food i can find in the area. We dine here all the time and they never disappoint. The staff has changed somewhat but we have not noticed a difference in the level if service. Pad Thai, red curry, panang curry cant go wrong here.

Great atmosphere , attentive service and delicious food combine to make for a very enjoyable experience. I am amazed that Moon Thai combines a Thai, Japanese, a bar scene, a sports bar and yet it's family friendly

We cane here at the insistence if my buddies wife. I'll admit the design and decor of the place is cool and doesn't look like something that should be in Weston. Our waitress was nice and attentive. So now you're wondering why the 1 star? Well for those who have seen the other reviews it will be no surprise that the dinner was ruined because of a Roach. They sat us in a table for 4 in an area towards the back with some white couches. We finished the appetizers and were about to dig into the main dishes. Right as I eat the first bite of my noodle soup my wife yelps out "ohh" so I look around and see a cockroach crawling on the couch right next to us. I quickly kill it and ask the waitress to come to the table. She seemed so shocked and embarrassed, she apologized profusely while we waited for the manager. This is the best part of the night, the manager walks over casually after they sat us at a new table in another section. No lie this is what he says next, "folks we are sorry about that, for some reason they really like that white couch area". No surprise, oh my so sorry for that roach or we are so shocked about that. No, nothing of the sort just a sorry guys we sat you in the section the roaches enjoy. After all this they gave us a 50% discount which in my opinion was inline with the managers lack of surprise. This tells me this happens very often because in another restaurant they would have comped the bill either entirely or everything but alcohol. In summary don't under any circumstance eat here!

I really wanted to like this place. It was in a great area, had a nice décor, HOWEVER, I witnessed a roach crawling on the table before jumping on my seat!! After doing a google search, I found out that they were featured on Local 10 News "Dirty Dining" segment. They received 19 violations for "Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Approximately 20 crawling on the wall around electrical outlets and behind a broken wall tile in food prep area. Approximately 10 crawling on the wall and on the floor in dish washing machine area. Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, or food storage area." Needless to say, I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!

Absolutely incredible ambiance! My boyfriend and I decided to go out on a date night. I was in the mood for Japanese and he was in the mood for Thai we got the best of both worlds! The food was yummy and the plating was awesome. They serve huge portions. I enjoyed the sophisticated yet casual environment and will definitely be returning.

It's with a heavy heart that I give this review. Moon Thai "was" our favorite place to eat in WESTON. Unfortunately, my wife and went in today and the experience was a 180 from what we enjoyed in the past. We ordered Tom Yum Talay soup, as we have for fours yrs and it was terrible for my wife and myself . The soup was sweet, and the lemon grass and spicy flavor that we once enjoyed were non existent. The mussels were disintegrating due to them being left to sit in a pot somewhere. The soup once upon a time was ordered and made fresh and served with a. Wooden lid on the steel bowl, it came out in 5 mins and was visibly tossed together and NOT FRESH. The flavor was totally different and off putting. We ordered lettuce wraps as well. The lettuce was soggy and the contents were visibly NOT fresh and microwaved. The drumsticks we ordered were bland and not crispy and tasty as they have been for yrs. The shrimp dumpling was ok but they are pre made and purchased in bulk by restaurants and then steamed. The sauces were all different and a consistent sweet but not tasty base accompanied the sauce for the lettuce wraps and the shrimp dumplings. I would comment on the sushi but we decided to cut our losses and leave. I'm very sad that the quality of the food here has taken a NOSE DIVE! This was once our favorite place and is now off the list for lunch dinner or even a free meal if it was offered. I can't tell you that I have another recommendation, but I will say that you could google a recipe and make any of the offerings better than there were served today. The manager is a large American gentleman we have never seen before and the staff seems to be different. One thing is for sure, there must be a new owner or new chef, as well as a new cooking staff because this place went from "five star to half star" if I could give it that much. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is great, but I went there to eat not be entertained. This restaurant fails in ALL culinary levels. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I personally witnessed two tables send back entrees while I was seated. GOOD BYE.... MOON THAI! No more UPDATE: In response to Danny Z. I'm not your chef and I don't work at the restaurant so there is no true or false statement, it's all opinion as I am the Consumer!!! . I am stating that your dumplings seem mass produced, and your lettuce wraps and meat was stale, dry and poorly cooked. I pay the money and you provide the food. I wasn't the only table to send back food that day. If you can't handle a lunch crowd then why are you in business? Your restaurant failed on all food items that were served, not one or two. At that point, it's pointless to get another entree, it's called a lesson learned and time to LEAVE. The waitress was polite and a good server, yet she doesn't cook the food. Let's be clear, this is our experience and after having the first four items fall short, we needed to leave. One is a mistake, two may be attributed to rush hour but all of our items were mediocre at best. This is simple, I won't be back, and I don't want others wasting money on a terrible meal.

The roaches check in....and don't check out. My wife and I decided to have dinner with another couple at moon Thai and japanese. Little did we know we would have so.e uninvited guests crash out dinner. After the appetizers arrived we noticed a large roach crawling on the couch right next to us. We pointed it out to the server and she was happy to move us. Not much detail needed besides that it was kind of gross to see it crawling around the dining room...imagine the kitchen must be like the roach country club. You have been warned. After a little research we noticed that they were mentioned on local 10s news segment on dirty dozen which investigates health violations at restaurants. 19 violations and they still have roaches. ..........

Delightful pan-Asian restaurant that caters to every type of Asian cuisine from the east. Although it was a pain to browse through each menu as a first-time customer (there is a lunch AND dinner menu for Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese offerings), what I did decide on, I liked very much. I ordered a lunch special beef and ginger Thai stir-fry. It comes with your choice of rice, which I chose brown rice. The lunch portion was very filling, but only meant for one person. The flavor is bold and fresh. My meal was definitely made to order, which is usually how authentic Asian food is prepared. The restaurant is very spacious and can accommodate large parties. The outside dining area is also very clean and would make a great dining experience on a clear weather day. I definitely will recommend this restaurant and personally want to return to try more of their menu!

The service was very good. The Atmosphere was cozy, and decorated nice. However, I am very picky with quality. My favorite sushi place is in hollywood, fl called sake. Moon Thai did not compare. I thought the sushi rolls were average in taste, and a little over priced. The rolls are bigger at sake. I had a good night with friends. I will only return if I am in the neighborhood. So back to sake I go.

Have been here for lunch several times. They have a vast lunch menu spilt between Japanese and Thai. The price is a few more dollars than i typically pay for lunch thai but it's worth the price given the location. The decor in the restaurant is nice and provides for a good ambience. There is plenty enough room for large groups including a separate section that sits up to 10 people. The Pad Thai is great and the sushi is sushi. They also have a full bar and the wait staff was prompt and courteous.

I have dined at this restaurant a couple of times before and had decent meals. Yesterday however, we decided to order take out. I ordered the seafood teriyaki but asked for extra scallops instead of the mussels. Unfortunately the scallops were bad and I ended up throwing them away because I was afraid of getting food poisoning. I mean they were very old and gross with a horrible after taste. I called the manager and explained the situation and that I was still hungry. She did apologize and offered a new dish of the same value. As manager I would have someone deliver another meal and comp the entire check. I will not be returning here. I expected much more from a fancy place like this. They need better quality control.

We have lived in Weston for almost 14 years and have never been here until the other night. I know this is 'the place' where everyone goes for sushi, but I have to tell you, I'm not impressed and would probably not return. After going back and forth on where to eat, my husband and I decided on this place. We got there around 8:45 and did not wait. As we were being seated I took notice that there was not an empty seat in the house. The place was packed...with super loud music. We had to shout to have a conversation, I was already doubting our choice. Waitress came over and took our drink order, one diet coke with NO lemon and one regular coke. I was very clear about the no lemon and when a server messes that up, we already know what kind of service we are going to get. My husband order the chicken teriyaki and I ordered the New York Roll. The roll had steak, cucumbers, spicy mayo and sounded real good so I thought I'd give it a try. We both ordered salads with no tomato and as usual I asked for my dressing on the side. Both salads had tomatoes and my dressing was not on the side, so she brought me a new one. The chicken dish was flavorless and a bit chewy. The dish came with either white or brown rice and asparagus stalks. The rice was a bit sticky and the asparagus wasn't steamed enough, was crunchy and tasted raw. My roll had an ok flavor, but not thrilled with it. The presentation of my dish was beautifully plated. With my roll came two green beans, tempura style which were delicious, actually the best part of the meal. The waitress refreshed our drinks and I reminder her no lemon, once again, lemon...really? I blame it on the really loud music! Will we eat here again? Probably not. So many other better sushi restaurants at more affordable prices!

We stopped by for a Sunday lunch having known nothing about the place and left feeling very suprised and happy. The interior decor is very posh and hipster friendly, and we didn't expect a sushi restaurant to look like this. Very cool. As for the food, we both ordered sushi lunch specials (yes, lunch specials on Sundays!) and the sushi was fresh and delicious. The server was very nice and both the food and drinks were brought out expediently. They also had the NFL playoff game playing on a projector which was a welcome suprise. I think we have our new favorite sushi spot.

Very nice ambience, dim lit setting, lounge set up. The sushi is very good and the waiter was very knowledgeable. The portions are huge! Down side is there are two separate menus and many options which if you don't know what you want it can take some time to go through everything. But, overall good eats!
