I used to like it, never going back. .. food is okay, not the best, service stands out for how terrible it is. After 3 times a charm. .. of not getting even any service at all, on an empty restaurant with 5 servers, unbelievable. .. you might get lucky if you visit, I rather take my business somewhere else

I am not from Colombia, but This place is really good! You get a lot for your money and the food is excellent. The waitresses are always pleasant. It's also very clean the times I have been there. If not, someone rushes over and cleans the table. Can get very crowded! Don't expect to be greeted though. The times I have been there just walk in....and find an empty table. There is only 1 bathroom in the location, so keep that in mind. You can place an order to go on the phone- which is great! I did it once & it came out perfect! I always order the carne asada.

This resturant has very bad customer service. We spend more than a hour here. We came here at 11:30 am and they took over 30 minutes to give the menu and and more than 30 minutes more to bring the food. The waitress (silvia) its was very rude when she bring the food to our table also one of the plates has a hair of the waitress. The mondongo soup it was nasty and had no taste also the bandeja paisa.! I don't recommend this to anybody who comes to the restaurant!!

Just left here on a Sunday night. We walked in 10 mins before the kitchen closed. I was told by our waitress, Sandra, that one of my sides couldn't be replaced (I've done this plenty of times before but ok I get it, they want to go home). My son wanted an extra pan de bono which there were plenty of when we first walked in but by the time we HAD TO WALK UP TO THE counter she told us they sold them all! Really? Only one other gentleman walked in after us and sat right behind us. I highly doubt his dinner was 10 pan de bonos . Horrible service! Good service should be given from open till the last customer leaves. Not because you're just ready to call it a day. If it weren't for the service we got, I would've given an extra 2 stars for the food. I've had a previous experience with this same lady in the past. It was in the morning before having to take my son to preschool. I ordered a side of juevos pericos and while I waited forever I told her I had to go and asked how much longer would it be. She answered that they were almost done. Well when I asked her the 2nd time, she told me that she would find out and asked me who did I make the order with!!!!!!!! I can laugh at this now but I can't really express how I felt then. SANDRA, go look for another line of profession please!

So after having an epic Colombian feast at El Balcon de las Americas in Sunrise two weeks ago, I was already to go at it again. This time, my craving hit me on Monday afternoon at work. After some Yelp-searching I stumbled upon Le Pequena Colombia Bakery & Restaurant in Weston (8 minutes from my job). As usual while working during the week, I decided to order take-out. I ordered the Bandeja Tipica with carne asada. It was ready relatively quickly (within 10 minutes). When I walked in to pick up my food (around 2PM), the place was relatively busy. By the time I made it back to the office everything was still nice and hot. Overall I was complacent with how everything the dish is comprised of tasted: Beans: delicious Steak: a little on the done side (I prefer medium to medium-rare), but tasty nonetheless Arepa: good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. Rice: really good. Soft snd fluffy Pork rinds: great! Crispy and salty goodness My only complaint was the fried egg which was overdone (yolk was hard, not runny). Call me crazy, but every time I order a fried sunny-side up egg and the yolk is over-cooked, it almost brings a tear to my eye. Wah! I will likely be back to try some other Colombian dishes during the week.

I was unsure about coming here after reading some of the reviews, and once I did come in, i realized I should have listened to the reviews. This place is as bad as they say. First of all, the women didn't even greet us just looked at me and said "how many?" Ummmm hello ... 4 please ... Anyway we sat and she only gave us two menus and just said ok what can I get you? Super awkward. We ordered four empanadas and she brought then and set them down and just walked away. The empanadas were supposedly of chicken and meat but it was pureed potato hardly any meat. And on top of that the lemon wedges had hair in them ! Gross . We asked for the check and left . Horrible horrible service. Not coming here ever again .

I been here 3 times. Two times the service was great. Last time the service was really bad. The food its really good. I tried the fried red snapper with coconut rice on the first visit. The dish taste good. On the second visit I tried the fried Tilapia with fried plantain and salad. A tasty dish. And the third visit I tried the "Carne Asada" (roast beef/steak). Needs more flavor on the meat. The "Empanadas" (Meat Pies) were Ok. But they have more potatoes than meat. Coffe is great and the prices are good.

Great place for work lunch. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean and nice with all the Botero paintings. The menu has lots of yummy food and everything has tasted delicious. The only downer was the 4 leches cake, too much cream on top and not enough cake.

I went to LA Pequena Colombia tonight for the first time, the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles courteous service. My food was delicious and out within 15 minutes of course by beautiful courteous Colombian women. The food was great I hate the Filete en Salsa, stupendous I recommended it,

Ducked in with Kristin to talk social media and doing our part to fight racism and bigotry and enjoyed some typical and suggested red meat fare with white rice and some Colombian beer. Servers were attentive and attractive. The portions were sizable for the price, so-good value. The food came out quickly. There was a good crowd enjoying the grub. We were in and out for about $30 bucks. Buenisima! Nos vemos, Cabeza!

I'm not a fan of Colombian food but it's something my brother was craving so I brought him here. Needles to say my mom, brother and son came home and threw up. I was fine bc I just had water.. But just looking at the pork skin was enough to make me gag. The server was very nice but the owner was pompous and stuck up and looked at us like we didn't belong there. Will not go back, food sucked and owner doesn't deserve our money.. Find another Colombian place to visit.. Ps, the pastries are super stale too!!!!

Good Colombian fare. Traditional dishes with good flavor. Pollo al Carbón (coal-grilled chicken breast) is a must. Plantains in any form are good as well. Service is ok. Expect some delays as they also have a bakery in the premises (good selection of bread as well)

Their food is always wonderful. Yesterday I ordered a medium chicken soup ($3.25), a small side of white rice (the best white rice I have ever had. Definitely not your typical free side from Chinese delivery places) and three tostones as take-out. I had leftovers for today and everything STILL tasted perfectly fresh! They've been in business for many years and they're still always packed full of customers. That's a great sign of great food and service; constant turn over. I've also had their flan, ajiaco and many other items in the past. A++ each time. I just wish they delivered :D

I've been there last december so I don't remember what I ate (I think some appetizers as platano and some fish), but I do remember that I liked it. There were many pretty inspiring choices from the menu, and the prices were not high. Good kitchen and clean place! They also have many desserts: not the best I ever had, but particular. If you are going to some Everglades' park you could just stop there for a nice lunch.

This is the first time eating at this place. Was looking forward to trying their "bandeja mixta" but had my dinner enthusiasm ruined when they wouldn't give me "patacon" instead of the "maduros". With the high prices they charge, no shouldn't be an answer to a customer's reasonable request. To add insult to injury, the servers have big attitudes. My rule of thumb... if it isn't pleasant the first time, I don't give the restaurant my repeat business or recommend to others.

What a hidden jewel. So glad I was able to find this Colombian restaurant on Weston. Reasonable price and food was good. I don't have to drive all the way to pines for Spanish food anymore.. Hooray!!!

Arroz con coco (coconut rice) EVERYDAY! If you know your colombian restaurants you know that arroz con coco is usually a speciality item served on certain days only. Nope not here one of the few that gives us out coastal fix everyday! Food is delicious staff very nice! Fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious bakery too! Special events during Christmas too

This little restaurant is a hidden gem in Weston . The decor is basic, but the food is excellent. Fresh meats, poultry, and seafood prepared to order. Empanadas are great, as are the soups, and baked goods. The entrees showcase a nice array of traditional Columbian flavors. This is a simple, no nonsense place where the food speaks for itself.. The staff are friendly, and you will not be disappointed. Come hungry, leave full, and don't expect to spend a lot. That make this restaurant a true value on every level. Good food, good folks, and a good price. You can't go wrong.

The place is okay... nothing especial, somewhat crowded. Good for in and out lunches during the week.

Good to very good. Ample portions. Bean soup was a served warm. Would have been better hot. Service, very nice. Place, clean and spacious. Inviting. I'd come again and try something else.

Over priced poor service stale pastries. Extremely disappointing for one of The few Colombian options in town. Cold undercooked steak, cold day-old empanadas. Don't think I'll give this place another shot.

Food is good reasonably priced but at a restaurant it's not just about food service counts as well. Owner should NOT ADVERTISE FREE WIFI especially there is NO WIFI at all. Service... They should have at least one or two servers / waitress who speak ENGLISH. I understand its a Colombian restaurant food is good but besides those item everything is good.

Nothing but praise this family friendly Columbian restaurant. We tried a lot of the offerings, a la carte style, from the empanadas, to coconut rice, to frozen mango, and it was all well done. The service was friendly, and it even looks like they have some live music nights. Though it's in a shopping center, I would recommend dining outside on a nice evening. Would definitely return again.

Dirty place and bad service, I don't recomend it at all. It Used to be good long time ago, but when they got bigger the service got bad and food as well. I gave them a chance....but didn't work!

There's a language barrier for sure. I don't speak Spanish, but I'm always able to point to the cuatro leches and have them understand. Best dessert I've ever had, hands down. Great prices too.

Good value home style cooking. Their "cantina" is great ao no need to cook at home. However I found the food to be a little greasy and with a lot of condiments. Not necessarily spicy but just too much condiments.

The food was okay. I'm cuban so I dont know columbian food all that well. The chicharrones are excellent though! If you try nothing else, get those. I also had an arepa which was very delicious.

The food is good. They have the best Ajiaco and also the best pan con queso. In my opinion their service is not always the best. I recommend this place - Is the best colombian restaurant in weston

Food is delicious, service slow but the waitresses are easy to look at. I order Bandeja Paisa with had grilled steak, fried egg, rice , arepa and a sliver of pork rind with meat. It was very tasty and filing. The quality of the food here is always the same. You can expect it to be good.

I'm part Colombian and I've lived in NY so I've been to many Colombian restaurants and tried lots of their food. This place has the best Colombian food in all of Broward. The house empanadas are awesome, always fresh and consistent. The aji is also fresh and consistent. Each of the food dishes I've tried have good seasoning and are a good size. I don't know how they make their avena (cold oatmeal drink) but it is soooo good! And like the rest of the food...always good and consistent! The only reason I give it 4 stars is that I feel the service could be a bit better...more inviting and the waitresses more attentive (some of them) but since the restaurant has such an open floor plan you can usually get their attention if you need it. Also a negative is that they have little peculiarities...for example, when you come in to pick up some empanadas, they give you a hard time with how much aji they can give you...such a pet peeve of mine at restaurants. Come on people, it's a business-make the customer happy...sell me the aji for a quarter if you have to, I'd gladly pay for it! ;-) This is the best place to go if you want authentic Colombian food!

Just went for lunch today- AGAIN! this place is at the top of my favorites. It is the only place i know serves good arroz con coco & extra crispy patacones which are my favorite. El aji is awesome and we usually always order the whole fried fish :) Service is always friendly!

I'm Colombian and I cook very well, so when I have colombian food it has to completely wow me for me to come back. La pequena colombia's food is WOW, the bakery always has fresh goods. My favorite thing to have for breakfast is cafe on leche, with a pandebonos if its a quick stop. If I have time to sit down for breakfast, the carne asada con aprea and of course with a CAFE ON LECHE. Their cafe con leche is made to perfection. The lunch special is usually very good, I have to said the food all around is real good. The services well ehhh its ook. The decor, Im a big fan of Botero.

Colombian food is just great. In fact, this place serves it up quite well - and the best part is that it feels and tastes like a home cooked meal. This is a local Colombian bakery with a decent menu of Colombian dishes done in the manner in which you might find at a Colombian friend's house; made with some TLC. In fact, this Colombian bakery is mainly frequented by the ever growing Hispanic population of West Broward. For me that is a stamp of approval! You can place orders for pick up, eat in, or just swing by for a quick coffee and Colombian pastry. For instance, on some Fridays we order the whole fried snapper with coconut rice....a delicious Colombian dish! Yum! This is quite a local place.

From the appetizers(empanadas, chicharrones) to main dishes to Merengón everything was " home made" & plenty.

I haven't had a sit-down meal here, but this is my family's go-to place for empenadas in Weston. They serve the fried (yellow) empanadas with chicken or beef. Make sure you get some of the sauce. It's a nice sweet, spicy mix of good tasting who-knows-what but it's delicious! I usually just walk up to the counter and I'm in and out pretty quickly.

Love this place. Bandeja Paisa is worth the trip. It includes chicarron, beans, rice, fried egg, steak and more. Ajiaco was flavorful and good. Family atmosphere. Friendly. Go there to watch a soccer/futbol match. Get a bandeja paisa and a few beers.
