Large entree portions served with salad and garlic knots. . Very good although I found the sauce on ravioli to be bland. Have had pizza three times. First two times it was done to perfection. Crispy, thinner crust and cheese melted just right. Last night's pizza was crust was too thick and doughy and cheese was not melted. Looked like a big glop of cheese. I was hoping this would be our go to for pizza night but no. Staff is friendly and attentive with family atmosphere. Small restaurant and is generally good. I will stick with the pasta dishes.

Took friends to Bada Bing last night, a first for all of us. BIG mistake. Waitress: indifferent with a big ATTITUDE. She should have stayed home; we wished we had, too. Food: mediocre -- pasta fagiolo very salty; fried calamari was tasteless and rubbery; chicken Marsala very sweet; chicken parm and ziti were so-so. The garlic knots were yum-yum; the restaurant might consider closing down and reopening as a bakery to focus on those. This place does offer quantity, but if you are looking for quality, "Fuhgeddaboudit."

I can only review their pizza delivery as I have never been to the restaurant. Oh wow! This is great pizza. Timely delivery. And very friendly. I am taking off one star because it is a bit pricy.

If you want delicious think crust pizza this is the place. The sauce is slightly sweet but that is how I like it. It is a small place so be prepared to wait during 'season' and you will be glad you did.

Awesome place to eat!!! Food was prepared from scratch and the taste was definitely home cooked. I had the Shrimp Alfredo and it was amazing. Service was terrific and the owner was a trip! Definitely recommend this place!

One of the filthiest places we have been to in Venice. One taste of the moldy iced tea and we were out of there. It was embarrassingly bad.

Use to be our favorite Sat nite with niece and nephew but after finding Angelos on Pinebrook off East venice Ave we will never go back .Bennys is extremely dirty ,floor, chairs, tables and the owners clothes. What more can I say. It's too bad his wife has such a BAD ATTUDE she is one nasty person. Good luck to all who continue to go there and to Heather the best server in Venice. Heather Thanks for all you did for us hope to see you at a better resturant with nicer bosses.

Fabulous food! Huge portions! Fun atmosphere! This place is owned by New York Italians who make the recipes from scratch. Authentic Italian food in a 'hole in the wall' restaurant almost made me feel like I was back in NYC. The restaurant is in the end of a unsuspecting strip mall type building, but the food was amazing! The owner really knows what he's doing. The garlic knots were probably my favorite part, covered in garlic butter and Parmesan. The meat sauce was flavorful and not grease. And the eggplant was sliced very, very thin and had a small amount of breading so that you could actually still taste the eggplant. The desserts are all made fresh each day, so when they run out, you're out of luck. Such was my luck w/the tiramisu, so I had a cannoli, which was huge and awesome. Seating is limited, just a few tables, but I believe that they offer delivery and know that carry out is available. Bring your appetite!!

Just fair local pizza joint. Very small, family-run. Nice homey feel. Located directly on 41 in South Venice. Outside seating is right next to 41. Pizza crust was too doughy I was told. For wine, try the Gabbiano red. The eggplant parmesan was great!

Garlic knots were delicious, the pizza was good. I should have tried this place sooner. Next we want to try calzone

It's ok...... won't be my first pick for pizza

I crave this place!!! The garlic knots are so, well, there really isn't just 1 word for them, they are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS FLAVORFUL, and so on. Both my husband and I are in love with them. As far as the pizza, it is ok, not my fav. but the Carbonara Pasta, is as close as it gets from Rome, Italy. That was the first place I had ever had it & fell in love & have been looking for a place that can compare & Benny's is it!! The portion is so big it is enough for 2 people & then left overs for lunch the next day. My husband really like their lasagna. But the Garlic Knots!!! The knots are all you can eat while you are there!!! I think I ate 6 the last time we were there!!! Now I want garlic knots!!

Excellent food. Best meatballs and sauces. All made from scratch. Great owners. We had so much fun there with them and the other diners. Like having dinner with family.

Unassuming strip mall front hides great Italian fare at olive garden prices. Friendly, family like staff. Not many tables so reservations for dinner highly recommended after six.

A tiny place in a tiny strip center south of Venice on the 41 Bypass. Look for the Bagel Shop next door owned by the same people. Family owned and I think all the employees are family. Loud, New York, not fancy, but great food. All homemade. Just go for the Spaghetti, then drool over the "specials" that the locals get that are not on the menu.

Great little neighborhood business. Owner is very friendly and mingles with the regulars. Be prepared to smile a lot! Our pizza was very good. Seems to do a great carry-out business as well. Probably because there are only about 8 tables. Will be going back again.

Well, this was my third time here, on vacation Let's start with the pasta fajoul (soup) was close to perfect. Lots of cheese, and small white beans, and pasta. Very good favors, and, piping hot, which to me is important. My wife had muscles and white sauce with pasta in the juice. She rated it as very good. I had a Caesar salad, no anchovies, yet great flavor. And I had pasta with Italian cut up bacon, peas with a garlic sauce with cream type sauce. Excellent. I had a 1/2 carafe of ok merlot, and two pino noir that was better. The whole bill was less than $70. Now what makes this place suburb is the family that owns and operates the restaurant. They circulate amongst the guests. Maybe 10 tables for 4 or so. Benny and his five adult kids. He's a veteran, and a true New Yorker Italian American, which to me makes this place so good. I love family businesses, realizing the challenges of a family working together. Whatever the intrigues involved, they pull it off do well. Rsk, P.hD Boston

Whenever we go down to Venice to visit my parents we are desperate to find a good, reasonably priced restaurant. We never would have given Benny's a thought without reading the previous reviews. If you are just driving by or have never tried it, your first thought is this place must be a joke!! Well, its not. Food is fantastic-delicious and generous portions which normally do not go hand in hand. The garlic knots are unbelievable-we want them shipped home to us!! Sauce is truly homemade and fantastic. Only a few tables but non stop pick up business tells that the word is out about this spot. They also deliver.

Just a wonderful neighborhood place to go for good food and friendly service! Atmosphere: seat yourself - small venue - fun quirky Italian stereotypical decor. Service: Fast, attentive and professional. Couldn't ask for better. Food: Simply delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted magnificent. Final review: We will be back for more!

This is not your local Olive Garden! Super scrumptious Italian cuisine. You won't leave disappointed or still hungry! I love everything I've tried here but the Fagiole soup, Rice balls, and pasta Carbonara and the pizza are my favorites.

The outdoor eating area was disgusting. My Chicken Parm was like rubber. They play old music over and over and it drove me crazy. I will give one more try and hope for a better experience.

I love Bada Bing. Great family italian food. Good service. Big portions. The restaurant is run by a really nice family and they make me feel like one of their relatives whenever i come in. I highly recommend the mussels in red sauce. The stromboli are huge! Feeds 2-3 easy!

Went for the first time today. Didn't know what to expect seeing how small the place was inside... Lets start with the garlic knots. They give them to you with your salads/soups... oh yea every dinner comes with your choice of soup or salad. Dinner comes and we are all shocked... the portions are huge! The food was amazing... I had the eggplant parmesan and I tried my mom's chicken marsala... wow is all I can say. They were both amazing! We didn't stay for dessert but i'm sure that would have been amazing as well as they are home made. The only downside of the place is that the service is a little slow but that's because the restaurant's chef is a one man show. But quality is obviously not pushed aside here and my family and I all agreed we will all be back! Great job Benny and the crew!

Excellent food, and Excellent Service. When you walk in the restaurant, you feel like you have walked into a Italian Kitchen, they make you feel welcome. I have enjoyed many of the items off the menu, and have enjoyed everything. The garlic knots are a must have. Must have the Almond cake for dessert. OMG

Found via a seatmate on a plane! Very good food and a lot of character. Knew it was a good choice when noticed how many staff members were there for a place the size of a closet. I would guess there are usually long waits, but worth it just for the garlic knots!

The food was excellent! The garlic knots were amazing. The staff is very friendly. I can't wait to go back and try another item from the menu.

My rating is based on delivery only... We have yet to dine in resturant. When we call... They are so great on the phone... Like they have known you forever. The delivery guys have been great. The food is really good. We have had spaghetti and meatball dinners delivered and they were so hot and soo good. They also sent along a container of their buttered knots... Enough for a large family. The pizza is also fresh and hot for delivery, not to mention how freakin good it is. This is the only place we will call for delivery. Thank you Benny.

If ever in Venice this is a must stop Italian place. It's smaller and can get very busy but rightfully so the food is amazing. The garlic knots are to die for and the entries are big enough for two ppl to share. All are homemade and very fresh. Second to none.

We walk in sit down and waited for our friends to show. Waitress sked if we wanted drinks right away. Yes she was awesome. But this guy walks out from the kitchen sat down at the table next to us started talking about food and I said someone told me this place has the best Calamari he proceed to talk about how to cook the calamari fast a not to Crispy. My wife who does not eat calamari because it is to chewy wanted it crispy. He said let me cook it for you. He proceeded to go in the back. Our friends show up, we ordered the calimari and it was the best calimari we have had in all of FL. My wife was eating Calimari. WooHoo That Had To Be Good. That you Bennie for you hospitality.. We will be back.

Are you kiddin' me? Fuggettaboudit! This is a great small Italian place. I had the Zuppa de Pesce. Shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams on your choice of pasta ( I had penne) and an arribiatta sauce that was deeeeelish! Others in my party had baked ziti and lasagna, and they said it was fantastic. Big portions, decent price. Sopranos type Italian theme. The next table over they had the antipasto for 2 that looked very tasty. They give you garlic buns to start and the salad was great too. They sell their own marinara sauce bottled, too. It was Sunday night and they were out of a couple of things, but a great place to eat.

Benny's is my absolute favorite for Pizza take-out. I'll run by here when I'm on my way home from a shopping trip and grab a pie and the garlic knots. Love the garlic knots. The crust is really first rate and the toppings are quality. I've samples some of the pasta and it's pretty good as well. Better than decent quality for the price tag.

Great little place to get a touch of North East Italian. Pizza is very good. Staff is friendly and Benny an old school guy just like where I grew up. If you're looking for an excellent pizza, garlic knots and a glass of wine or cold beer, give it a shot.

Two words. Garlic Twists. More words. Garlic and Oil over pasta. Honestly, the Garlic and Oil over pasta was the best tasting pasta dish I've ever had, anywhere.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
