Found this place just by driving by and we are glad we did. The service was awesome! Everything came out super fresh and hot and it was delicious. We ordered the garlic knots they had the perfect amount of garlic, butter and cheese super soft inside with a nice little crunch on the outside. Then we ordered the BIGAZZ huge pizza and it was exactly that. The slices were huge and it was piping hot. My son ordered the small Stromboli it was the size of a football and he said it was the best he had. Today they had a special for kids eat free with an entree and they said the pizza would count so my other son got the chicken tenders and fries and when the order came out it was huge I thought they made a mistake. Fresh cut fries and the chicken was the bomb. Would definitely recommend this place if your in the area. Don't worry about the looks of the place inside because the food really makes up for it.

I have been here a couple dozen times over the years. Most of the time I do take out. About 50% of the time my take-out order is wrong. But the food is good. They used to be apologetic when they got my order wrong. But it's happened so many times now that they just laugh about it. I don't go nearly as much anymore.

Popular, small, and welcoming pizza and Italian dishes, about 4-5 miles off 75. Excellent taste and inexpensive, limited beer menu the only negative. Attentive wait staff and prompt delivery of our pizza

We're staying at the Inn at the Beach in Venice. They have a flyer in their rooms that has the Amore's menu, touting free delivery. Since we were tired from the drive here we decided to take a chance and order for delivery. Don't make the mistake I made and ignore the other reviews here that talk about late orders. We ordered at 9:25 and were told we'd get our food in 45 minutes. After an hour of waiting, we called the restaurant back. The woman on the other end of the phone told us that he was "on the road" and that we should receive our food soon. Fifteen minutes later, we're still waiting. If they're not here in another five minutes, I'll call back -- five minutes before they close -- but frankly the damage is done. The restaurant is a six minute drive from the hotel. There is no reason on earth why Italian food (bread, pasta and salad - not even any meat!) should take nearly an hour and a half to prepare and deliver. Worse yet, the woman I spoke to was clearly indifferent to my experience as a customer. No apology was offered, no concern was expressed. Do yourself a favor and order take out from place that can handle their business better than this.

Disgusting food. Dirty Restaurant w/ broken fixtures/installations, and moldy/dust ridden ceiling tiles & air ducts. We requested to speak with someone in charge, he would not come out and talk to us. Above all the owner is flat out rude. When we saw him at the window to pay, We told the owner after the experience we had, we'd rather not come back. He's reply was, "good don't come back we don't need you". Who treats their paying customers like that!!!? Also, The girl working there looked like she was on drugs and kept talking over us. Horrible experience. We will not ever go back.

We recently moved to Venice and received a coupon for a free large pie . We also order garlic knots. The Pizza was excellent - same for the garlic knots. We will be a regular...

Great Pizza...Great customer concern...Great tasting bread...Great comp garlic knots. The place doesn't look so good on the outside...inside doesn't offer a whole lot of atmosphere BUT the food tastes amazing and well worth a visit. If nearby you won't be disappointed. Table next to us ordered a calzone and Stromboli and for 4 people they left leftovers. They looked fantastic too. A must stop if you like a thinner crust pizza...the fold it in half and eat it type of pizza.

Great food. I love the calzone. It's huge and enough for diner and lunch the next day ;)

Kinda went out on a limb trying this place. It was actually very expensive for what we got. I think if they had better sauce recipes it'd be alright. Well.....maybe a good pizza dough recipe also. I got chicken Parmesan and I wasn't impressed. The chicken was dry and tasteless and the pasta sauce was gross. Next time I'm craving Chicken Parmesan I'll just make it myself. My husband got pizza and he wasn't impressed either. I think we will stick with Marco's Pizza as it is the only decent pizza hope in Venice. As for good chicken parm...... My search continues.

We caught them on a tough night. Several nearby places were closed to deal with upcoming holiday schedules; they were down two employees and they were swamped. But they gave us great customer service, keeping us up to date with how things were going, seated us even though we were ordering carry out. When they ran out of marinara due to the rush, they made fresh from scratch for us. Since we're visitors here only a few times a year, we weren't sure how good it was really. It turned out well worth the wait. Great food, good service, huge servings, and very satisfied customers. We will return on our next trip.

Good food, assuming they get your order right. Have ordered from them a handful of times (always delivery) and they say 45 minutes and we've never received our food in anything less than an hour and a half later. Which is frustrating enough but then when they bring you the wrong food or an incomplete order it's even more frustrating. Salad lettuce is always wilted and brown. Pizza is always great and so are the garlic rolls but not worth the hassle of always late food and a sometimes rude staff.

I will start with the salad incident. Side salad arrived wet and limp like it just had been through a rainstorm. I became suspicious and waitress lied her butt off saying she just had chopped up the lettuce when I ordered. After telling her to go find some fresh lettuce, she then admits that they save the lettuce from the night before that is not used and put it in an ice bath overnight to keep it fresh. Then the next morning they drain it out and serve it to the lucky customers. Not sure what genius thought up that technique (sounds like a cheap person), but the end result was the soggy lettuce. Finally, she goes back and gets me a salad that contained "new" lettuce. Another bizzarre thing with this place is the cups of salad dressing served. The cups still had the lid on them with a date when the dressing was put in the cup. My first cup was dated 7/30 (12 days in the fridge) and second cup was an improvement as I received 8/2. She probably was supposed to take the lids off (she is new). I just ended up switching to the house dressing on the table and now that I think about it, that stuff might have been there forever too. Ok, that said, everything else went smoothly in this small family restaurant that we just randomly stopped at in Venice on the way to Sarasota. It has been there 11 years and the inside could use a refresher, but the rest of the meal was good. The loaf of hot fresh bread was incredible and the $9.95 dish of Angel hair pasta with olive oil, broccoli and garlic was quite tasty and large despite the pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl. It was $10 for complete meal. Dad had the 2 slices special and soda for $4. The sllices were good, but cheese wasn't thick enough and the front of the slice was limp and very greasy. Check the photos - its a good deal though because the slices are massive. They could use some more lunch specials and if you want a good laugh, check out the family photo on the menu from 11 years ago and then take a peak at the owner/chef now. Age catches up to everybody, but I suppose since he looked a lot better than maybe that photo should stay up. Oh and the waitress, who should be model recovered from her lie and returned my sunglasses that I had left at the table.

Here is the scoop. This is an old timie hole in the wall pizza joint which serves a decent pizza. No frills in the restaurant, but the pizza is good and they appear to use good and fresh ingredients. It is as it appears from the outside. Nothing special, but the pizza is thin crust New York style and it is GOOD. Service was prompt and courteous. The place has no pretensions and I have no complaints.

this is the BEST home town/home style pizza; I'll be forever grateful to my friend for letting me know about this place; I've only had pizza by the slice but it is now a weekly ritual for me.....for those that have left poor ratings; I feel sorry for you and your miserable attitudes....I'll be happy to bring guests from out of town here as this is a treasure of a place to eat; reminds me of my home town pizza place from all of those years ago!!!

Our go to pizza restaurant. Good homemade pizza, AMAZING garlic knots, and their chicken noodle soup is good (I think it has a pit of pepper in it which gives it a twist in my opinion). Cozy home atmosphere.

I contacted Linda at Amore's to ask if they would deliver desserts to my Mother in Venice as a surprise for her Birthday. I'm in Chicago and Linda handled everything for me even offering to get a card and include it for me! Fantastic service and delicious food. Amore's is great and Linda is a treasure!

Awesome food! The best fried mushrooms ever. I have liked everything I have gotten here especially the cheesesteak sub. It is run by a very nice family too.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
