Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Usually, when a restaurant claims expertise in a lot of different food genres, they are typically not good at any of them. Grill 54 proved that there are exceptions. First, the sushi. Nailed it! Our table got 5 different rolls and 4 of them were really good. The 5th needed a bit of a kick, some spice or something to set it off. Pretty good average, though! Next, because my manager suggested we all get steaks to go with the sushi (and I really thought about just getting a salad, honest), I ordered the 6 oz filet; the smallest steak on the menu. Wow! Medium rare made it happen. Tender, juicy, flavorful and with an almost velvety texture. So good! The aforementioned salad? Well, I had one of those too and it wasn't great. Decent mix of drinks and people here as well. I noted that the ladies were much better dressed than the guys. Step it up, fellas. Service was attentive and helpful. The check wasn't appalling. Give Grill 54 a try and I think you'll love it.

Hit this place up on burger day. Got a slight upcharge for mushrooms and swiss as a topping which was totally cool. The 5.00 burger deal came with fries, and a fresh pickle spear. Sure, they weren't flame grilled, but they tasted made to order, fresh, and the fries were an unexpected bonus. Cooked on a flat top to perfection this proved to be a juicy lunchtime burger spot. Just watch your timing during the lunch crunch!

If you enjoy sushi, appetizers with friends, and a nicely designed bar... then you will enjoy Grille 54. However, every time I go there and order an entrée I am disappointed. My wife loves sushi so that's the only reason I return. Grille 54 is a perfect example of a restaurant over thinking the simple things just for the sake of be different or "upscale". I ordered the kobe beef burger, medium rare, but what I got was an explanation for the long wait. This burger was beyond well-done. Only the edges had the juices left whereas the middle was so dry I couldn't eat but half of the burger. I'm a fan of different takes on the burger but there are just some things that should be staples: cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I will say that the staff is very professional and easy to deal with.

We sit up at the sushi bar on the far left so we can watch the sushi being prepped by Nam. He is amazing to watch in action. We usually just order sushi rolls of the menu, but this time, my wife and I each got a bent box, i got mine with the Nam Bomb roll, one of my faves. It came with lobster rangoon, which was so good we ordered it as an additional side to have more. Also came with misogyny soup, the best miso soup I have ever had. It had plenty of the usual in it but also had shitake mushrooms. Excellent lunch. And great service.

Currently here having Sunday Brunch. Service is slow and place is nowhere near capacity. Food in buffet is nowhere near room temp. It is all processed and very subpar taste. Place is dark but you can tell its dirty and poorly unkept. Dishes at buffet still dirty. Looked on What the Health Florida app and the Dept. of Health gave this place a U for unsatisfactory. Numerous examples of health violations. I'd avoid this place.

I like it here. I've been for lunch, but recently came for brunch and it was really good. I LOVE the do it yourself Bloody Mary bar! The food is typical of a brunch buffet and they had several different cooking stations and mimosas were included in the $22.50 price. The food was pretty tasty and the service was excellent. Will go back soon.

Very popular bar with the 50+ crowd who are trying to be 30. Sushi on the other hand is real good. Creative menu, fresh fish, weekly specials. The food is good, not great but good. They do a good job for the price point. Pork Chops are thick cut and always cooked perfectly. Not a place for kids under 16.

This is my favorite place to go for sushi! Staff is super friendly, drinks and service are amazing. Fun place to meet friends for happy hour. We hosted an anniversary party for 20 on a Saturday. We were so happy with the food, something for everyone- a very picky 3 year old, and his meat and potatoes great grandparents. Exceptional!

Well, two years have passed and I've decided to give Grille 54 another chance. I really had to push myself, and to be honest I'm still pretty irritated, but this experience was a MUCH better one. Once again, I came for my birthday. Our waiter was attentive and brought out a delectable chocolate cake slice for my birthday! Sun Burn (lobster with steak on top) and Mexican roll (shrimp) were good. I enjoyed dipping my Sun Burn roll into the sriracha on the side. My friends got the salmon and a steak dish. Both were enjoyed. It was noted that the steak was perfectly cooked. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe burger and was in heaven especially because they had no problem cooking it rare (and even did it very well). We came for ladies night which is Wednesday and therefore enjoyed the raffle (you can free wine, brunch, mall gift cards, dinners...) and $5 drinks. Speaking of drinks...we ordered them at the bar and at our dinner table. We were all impressed by the bartender. One person who always orders the same drink said that this was the first time someone did it right. Liquor drinks were far from watered down and the sangria was so fruity and scrumptious! I still love Grille 54 for the reasons I always have: great menu/drink selection, nice atmosphere, those two fancy booths in the back, and special nightly events. I think we will start coming casually again. I still find my last experience to be unacceptably rude, but oh well. I guess this means that if your food is good enough then even angry people will come back...

Went to Grille 54 for lunch with a few colleagues today, it was fairly dead at noon but by the time we left, the place was hoppin'! My group had a mix of entrees, mostly salads which were large, colorful and everyone seemed to enjoy! We started with the signature Spinach Bread stuffed with homemade meatballs & melted Mozzarella, served with a side of house red sauce; it was very tasty! I being the only first timer took a round of votes as to what was best and sushi won across the board. I was astounded with the wide-ranging sushi menu; it was hard to just pick one! I ended up deciding on the "Bento Lunch Box" with my choice of sushi, side, and salad. Okay, are you ready for a flavor explosion? For my sushi, Tiger Roll which had chopped shrimp, krabstick, cream cheese spicy mayo & asparagus roll placed on top of spicy mayo & topped with tiger shrimp...YUM. A side of Lobster Rangoon, Lobster meat, cream cheese, onion & celery mixed & wrapped in a wonton pastry then deep fried with a sweet dipping sauce (I wish it came with like 6 because they were delish!), a Ginger Salad which was prepared differently than I've ever had before with baby mixed greens, cucumbers, carrots, red & green peppers, mandarin oranges & onions accompanied by ginger dressing. The sushi is fresh; everything else was pretty great too. The environment seems pretty energetic & our waitress was great especially handling a large group. Overall I was satisfied and look forward to trying some more sushi!

So I was craving a Rib Eye Steak, so meandered over to Grille 54. I had been there once before a few years ago and it was OK ... not anymore! It took me 20 minutes to find a parking space. Parking at the strip mall it's located in, was apparently designed by someone who doesn't drive a car. I was tempted to give up and go somewhere else, I should have! Sat at the bar and there were 7 people behind the bar, tripping over each other. Keep in mind, the bar only seats about 25 people. 7 people, you'd think the service was good, right? Nah, that would be too easy. Should I mention that in the first 6 minutes at the bar, I was called "Hon", "Honey" & "Dear" ? "Vanessa" was my server and she was way better than anyone else behind the bar, at least she was clean. The other 3 or 4 bartenders looked like they haven't taken a shower or washed their hair since the 90's. Apparently they also live in their cars and don't have running water to wash their hands. Now that I think about it, perhaps the restaurant has a water problem too? The bar was disgustingly dirty and sticky, as was the silverware. So I got my Rib Eye Steak. In my entire life, I've never had a more tasteless piece of meat, unless you want to count the burgers at Wendy's? Their online menu said the Rib Eye was $21.95, but the menu said $23.95. What's $2 bucks, when you're chewing cardboard? Oh wait! I forgot about my Caesar Salad. Well, it was definitely forgettable. My "steak" was accompanied by some mixed combination of zucchini, squash and (I think) onions. Apparently if you figure out how to dump a glob of garlic powder into a pot of steaming vegetables, you now know how to make Grill 54's famous, special vegetable medley. My steak was served with 6 boiled "new potatoes" ... how can you screw that up? $44.95 with a 6 oz glass of wine? I'd say my experiment with Grill 54 has concluded. As bad as Outback Steakhouse is, if you have a hankering for a steak and end up near Grill 54, walk next door to the Outback and at least you'll save a few bucks. Oh wait, I almost forgot! Grille 54 has at least 10 TV's mounted on the walls. 6 of them were tuned to a football game, the other 4 played a steady stream of commercials. Excuse me for being naive, but who goes out to dinner and wants to watch TV commercials for an hour or so?

Quality has gone down hill! I have been eating here since they opened. Little by little it has been dropping in quality. Tonight does it. I went with a friend to have a nice meal together. She ordered the filet and I the rib eye. She ordered hers medium it came out rare. The waitress made it like no big deal she'll have it cooked more. I was half done with my dinner ( she insisted I eat) when we had to ask for the steak. She brought it out and asked if it was ok. It was still rare! But my friend said it was fine. The manager came over and said sorry for the inconvenience . Then someone who looked like a cook was walking by and asked how was everything ? After explaining what happened he said next time you come in we'll make it right. There are too many restraints to say next time. You should always make it right period. You lost 2 customers tonight. Good bye.

I used to go often and their food is ok, but I know many people who used to work there and they have a major problem with bugs!!!! Everyone stay clear of this place, I even know of one time they recently closed down due to the health department. I live in the area and saw the health department sign on it about 6 months ago. yuck!!

Came in for sushi special. Sushi deals were good and the quality was on par with most chain sushi places like ichiban. Ordered my son food off the kids menu and it was probably the best kids food I've ever seen. It was delicious and not some frozen food they just dumped in the frier. I was impressed. Our service however was slow. It was not busy and our server disappeared for a while before we got a chance to order. I enjoyed the food enough where it made up for it

I've been to this place several times and the food is always excellent. Today was no exception. The food was great but the service wasn't good this visit. The server Felicia was very dry, not inviting and overall blasé. My seat was dirty and got stains on my jeans from prior guests. I'm not ever one to complain but maybe she had a bad day. At the moderate to higher end of pricing I expect a staff that's warm, inviting, and engaging and this time I didn't get it. Better luck next time I guess.

One of our favorite spots in the area. The "what the how roll" is out favorite! Lobster seafood roll topped with steak? Yes please! We live in Orlando, but come down to New Port Richie occasionally and we always try to stop in. The servers have always been friendly and helpful, but they really shined today when we brought our toddler son. They were prompt, cheerful and helpful, I just wish I remembered our main servers name. Other favorite dishes include the duck wings, and the kani-su -- actually the whole cold salad sampler is pretty good. The sunday atmosphere is somewhat upscale sports bar; but they have added a brunch which offers a diverse array of some of their best items. Fresh raw bar, omelets made to order, "football food" like wings, potato skins, and corn doggies. Breakfast Yummies like eggs, sausage, biscuits, Cajun potatoes and chicken fried steak. A wide selection of salads and a carving station. Fantastic!

I used to love this place until my friend and I got food poisoning from their brunch a while ago. For those who don't believe me, I KNOW for a fact that the food poisoning was from here because this was the only food I had eaten that day. Ended up going to the walk in clinic across the street where I received the diagnosis and was informed that I was not the first case they'd seen. Kind of disappointed because I actually liked this place ...

We've been here twice thus far and have not been disappointed. The sushi is fresh, but interestingly one of their signature sushi dishes ("The Nina") was presented differently each time. Inconsistency in presentation concerns me that inconsistencies may show up in other areas; but only time will tell. Thus far, I'm a fan. *Update* As a public response to the owner's question below, it was a very minor (but notable) inconsistency (mainly the word "Nina" - that had been written in sauce on the plate - was missing the second time around; I thought it was a brilliant touch and was surprised to see it missing). The service and food quality were unaffected and excellent.

This place is just okay, nothing special. They try too hard to be everything to everybody. They're a sushi bar, steakhouse, Italian joint, seafood place, etc. It's just too much. They're a Jack of all trades and a master of none. They should pick a niche and stick with it. As for the food, it's just okay...not bad, but not great...which was expected because they don't seem to specialize in anything. The service was fine, our server was very good, but I noticed that a lot of sushi plates sat on the counter for pickup for quite some time. There were a few plates that were sitting there when we walked in, and several minutes later when we received our appetizer, they were still there. They need to be careful about that, especially with something as temperature sensitive as sushi. Hopefully it won't take someone getting sick for them to get their act together. The only thing that I think is really good is the bento box lunch. It's a good amount of food and a great value. It's the one thing that will make me come back, but it's only on the lunch menu.

The food at the Sunday brunch was terrible. But the racist graffiti all over the walls in the men's bathroom just takes the cake (see picture I posted). The fact that management doesn't bother to clean this up says a lot about the place. UPDATE: Management contacted me and said "sorry but it's not easy to clean graffiti." Really? You hire a painter, or a tile guy! Seems perfectly simple to me. Imagine running a restaurant and KNOWING the walls in your bathroom are covered in hateful racist graffiti and not doing anything to remove it! Talk about rednecks!

We just moved to the area, and our tradition is to try a new restaurant every Sunday night. My wife picked Grille 54, and it was ehh. We had chicken piccata, sushi and kids chicken strips. My sushi was sliced thick for the yellow fin tuna, and in general the sushi reminded me of buffet grade sushi. I also had the seaweed salad, it seemed too chewy and not fresh compared to other places I have had that. I didn't complain as I'm not a seaweed expert. However, the staff should notice I didn't touch it and ask in my opinion. My kids chicken seemed bland, luckily we requested the "bread on request" to fill her up. I tried it as well and hard to say what the issue was with it, just kind of dry tasteless. The chicken piccata was weirdly runny but tasted great. Not sure if it was runny sauce, or from the spiral noodles not being drained enough. We thought the spiral noodles was an odd choice and not an angelhair pasta but again we kind of just rolled with it. Prices seemed high for entree's that come with no sides, I doubt we'll go back.

I moved to Trinity 4 years ago and from the beginning always enjoyed their food. But lately I have been disappointed due to the lack of menu changes, not sure if I'll be back for dinner or lunch anytime soon. I could see myself going for the brunch on Sunday, that's always good.

My favorite date night, birthday or anniversary restaurant. We have also brought our family and had a great evening. Always great service - friendly and fast. I had delicious Sangria for my birthday this past year and the year before we did yummy shots from the bar. I go specifically for the sushi (which is discounted on Tuesday nights) but I am more than willing to pay full price. Lobster Rangoons, Veggie egg rolls and the Chef appetizer sampler are all delicious. We have several favorite sushi rolls - Go ray roll, Nam Bomb, Tiger Roll and What the How??? and we have tried many others that we love as well tempura cowboy roll, Hurricane, and general Tsao just to name a few. I have also had some delicious pasta but honestly go now just for the sushi.

Sushi is good, everything else is awful. Had the worst burger in my entire life. Kobe burger was very bland and dry. Calamari was tough and bland as well. Stick to the sushi if you go here. Although its a little over priced

Service is always great and the food is good. I'm usually having sushi and have never been disappointed. The only reason I give 3 instead of 4 stars is that I think the menu is a bit overpriced for the quality of the food.

Trying to do too many things and not doing any one particularly well. Nice bar and seating. OK wine list for the price point. But both of our dishes were disappointing. Overcooked fish. Uninspired chimichurri steak.

Although I am not frequently in the Trinity area, I have eaten at this restaurant on 3 separate occasions. Each time that I have stopped in, I have been pleased with the experience. Due to how good Grille 54 is expect to see a wait even during the week. I have dined off of the sushi menu and the regular menu, which both have many offerings. On my last visit, we started with the buffalo risotto balls (YESSSSSSSSSS) and the bruschetta. I would recommend both appetizers, especially the risotto balls. I went for the bacon wrapped scallops with the honey jalapeno glaze. Scallops are my favorite and these did not disappoint. I will likely go to Grille 54 again the next time I am in this area!

Best sushi in all of Tampa Bay! The selection is incredible. Love the bar staff, weekly specials. More than once the wine pours are incredibly small for the cost. The Italian menu is just ok. Definitely come here for the sushi though and Ladies night on Wednesdays!

I've been to this restaurant a few times and really appreciate it's proximity to my house. It's a great place to go for a casual night out or if you're looking for something different. What get's me is the range of offerings from bar menu to sushi to Italian entrees. Everything I've tried has been good and I've never been disappointed with my selection or the range of options to pick from. The outdoor and bar areas are always fun and lively. It's a great place to catch a game on one of their big screens if you're looking for something more than a BW3s or sports bar. The drink and dessert menus are also a must if you happen to wind up here!

  • Shawnie M.

Jack if all trades, master of none! Should have realized with a menu so varied that the don't specialize in anything. Steak chimichurri wasn't really good . Chimichurri sauce was blend and lacking the flavor, brightness it should have. Sides of green beans, overpowered by garlic, and bland roasted red potatoes were barely passable and certainly not memorable. My husbands grouper was overlooked.

Word of mouth heard great things about this place but naturally I turned to my Yelp network and got mixed reviews. All and all, it was ok. Loved my miso soup! Normally I feel like miso soups have one scallion but this thing was packed with mushrooms, tofu, and lots of green onions. It was my fav part of dinner:) House salad was good in my book but a bit sour. My husband originally ordered is since it came with his meal and said the dressing was burning his lips lol! We got the Mexican roll and Hawaii 5-0 and they were both so-so. Nothing special at all. However they are both under 7 bucks. Next time I'll try a specialty roll! Chase got the grouper in butter sauce with rice and green beans(23 bucks) and hands down best cooked grouper we both have ever had! BUT the rice had zero flavor. So bland. Green beans were pretty good but not to Chase. 50 bucks total I was full but not satisfied. I was really excited for sushi but I didn't really get that craving filled. Atmosphere was nothing special. I live locally so I'll give it another go soon!

Im giving it 3 stars because 3.5 years ago this place was bar none my favorite sushi spot. And the regular menu was phenomenal too. I went back this past Monday and had 2 different sushi rolls and sashimi and it was mediocre at best. Grocery store sushi level. I was soooo disappointed. I saw Chef Nam there standing on the side but he didn't make the sushi and it was blahhhhh. I'd give it another try... one day. I'm holding out hope that it'll be better and it was just an off night. But a great restaurant shouldn't have an "off night".

  • Mandy R.

Really great place but a little expensive for average food, but a really great atmosphere. In response to the owner. To be honest with you I was unaware of the quality of meat. I personally buy mostly organic meats at home, which does bring prices up, and what I mean by "average" is that even a burger was pricy, but not lacking in taste; however with now understanding that it is hormone free it now makes sense. With that I change my ranking. Sorry for your dismay.

Went with local friends who love this spot. Husband and I are snowbirds from NYC. We love good sushi and this did not disappoint. Never heard of Duck Wings and had to try them. Was blown away at the yumminess as were the locals who hadn't tried them previously. They all loved them too and will order them every visit. Am jealous. MUST find wings like those in NYC!!! Try them! Great night!

We have been here several times and have always enjoyed the food and drinks . The service is always good however not great. I really like the menu having lots of choices to accommodate everyone's taste . I always go with the sushi , the sunburn roll is a favorite. I usually try something different each time which is fun. Our last visit with family was nice except we sat outside and were attacked by huge flies. Yes, I realize it is outside however try to sit outside of it is an option wherever we eat and have never had the fly issue quite like this. Other than the unwanted flying guests at our dinner everything else was delicious and we had a nice time. We will be back to Grill 54 again.

I came here 3 or so years ago for a friends birthday and the sushi and service was fantastic, never went back because it was so far. Now I live in the area and wanted to take my parents for the sushi. We went for a Sunday afternoon lunch and when we arrived there was nothing but booths and high tops, my parents are on the heavier side both with knee problems and the space wasn't big enough for them to safely scoot in. I also came with a newborn so her seat couldn't fit in the booth seat like most restaurants can (to give an idea how tight of a fight the booths are.) When we sat we found out that they only had a buffet for Sunday brunch which I would have loved but for my parents that was too hard for them to get up and down so we had to leave. I'm giving this place 3 stars because they need actual tables not high tops and booths for patrons that can't move around as easily, also for the fact we weren't told it was buffet only when we walked in the door and can't order from the menu. I felt so bad and disappointed for leaving and embarrassed that I raved about this place and my family couldn't even eat at. Please add tables and also make normal menu available during buffet time or at least train your hostess to explain how the brunch buffet works. I will try again with just my husband and do a new review.

I am a fan of Grille 54...I've eaten here several times. I had lunch with a friend and was looking forward to the sushi...what a let down! I had the B-52 and the Tempura Nirvana...so not good! I usually never dip my sushi in any sauces but I had to request eel sauce to dip the Nirvana in and I couldn't even eat the b-52...I spent hard earned money on some gross sushi :(. I'll just go to Soho for my sushi. At least the servers were nice.

This is a fun little place to go eat. I worked in the area and we were near multiple times a week. The sushi is great but sometimes the service could use a little refinement. Enjoyed the Italian dishes and overall had a well-balanced menu. There are some things to stay away from so choose wisely.

I have tried at least three times to like this place, but I continued hating and therefore I am done. Service is always awful- the food is never done right and the chef doesn't even taste what he eats before taking to his customers. The food is either too salty or too sweet or bland. If you really like to go to this restaurant eat the sushi--forget everything else.

I've had really good food here and ok food here. It is pricey and really loud. There is a good variety of food so good for my husband and I, he loves sushi and I order Italian. They have some gluten free options which is nice. Sushi bar and regular bar area are small and they pile you in. If you are on a date night you definitely want to be seated at a table.

  • Karen S.

Food is generally pretty good. Their prices are very high so expect to have a big bill. We enjoy the Grill 54 roll, and one other specialty roll. However, $25 for the roll is a little crazy. One has lobster meat on it. Not a lot to run up $25 worth. But the roll is still pretty yummy. I've also had a few pasta dishes. Won't get them again for the small amount, and big price. One bad thing is if you have a table that orders a dinner, and some order sushi, they will not time them so your food comes out together. This is a poor reflection on service. They blame it on the fact that there are two kitchens.

Wish the place had better service. I love the food but I'd drive further to the other location for better service. My sister and I were very disappointed as we have both worked in the hospitality business in restaurants, so we tried to be as empathetic as we could. Our server was very attentive and nice, bartender and hostess were very rude and unwelcoming. We seemed to have upset the kitchen staff when we heard them yelling at our server for putting in an order too late into the night. We were told the kitchen was closing shortly but were unaware our orders would cause so much trouble. I apologized to our server for that and made sure I tipped well. Other than that, the place is beautiful. Love the atmosphere, music, decorations and most importantly, wonderful food.

You'd be surprised but this is one of the best sushi restaurants in Pinellas and Pasco Counties yet it's marketed as a standard upscale american restaurant. We didn't even know they had a huge sushi menu until we went there for a business function. The sushi is fantastic and might be in our top three favorites for all of Tampa Bay. They are very busy on weekends so don't be surprised if there's a wait out the door. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the prices are fair.

Bland food! ESP the grill 54 burger. Price is too high for the type of food! We will not be back.

You won't know what to order first. Seriously. Grille 54 is sensory overload. Two separate menus. One, a full fledged A through Z of sushi favorites. The other, all your typical "American" flavors. Sports bar vibe with a huge dollop of classy on the side. (Not an easy find in New Port Wrinkles, this is definitely a nice, youthful, fun place!) There are about 15 different types of sushi rolls ranging in price from $3.95 through $13.45. Hubby and I started with a California roll and the portions are plentiful. Even my hubs, who detests fish, had to indulge. The sushi has a separate menu and usually arrives with your regular dinner, but this time, it came out with our drinks. Speaking of drinks, about a dozen different types of specialty drinks and martini's but my husband HIGHLY recommends the "Peanut Butter and Jelly" martini that comes with a rim lined with PB&J that made him want to "eat the glass." I had a "Schnozberry" martini (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries...every berry but Halle Berry. *groan*) They have a full wine list, including sake. I have no idea how much they were, but it wouldn't have mattered. They were delish. Appetizers are a brutal choice. So much good stuff. But, we finally opted for the Hummus spread ($7.95), a trio of avocado hummus, sun dried tomato hummus and garlic/eggplant hummus served with baked crositini bread. We also ordered a caprese salad ($8.50). Everything was so fresh, it practically stands up and slaps you in the face. (Fresh! *sighs* Okay, I'll stop the jokes. They suck. The food? Totally did not.) For dinner, hubby had the 6 oz. Filet Mignon ($19.95) with a peppercorn rub. He chose one of the premium sides of truffled mashed potatoes and the veggie of the day. I ordered from the appetizer menu for my main course because the sushi and appetizers had me SO full. Let me tell you all something. Lean in. No really, come closer. Ready?? If you ever come to Grille 54 and do not order the Eggplant Tier ($9.95) you are a fool. A straight up, down right fool. It's really nothing more than a caprese salad sandwiched between two thick slabs of eggplant, served hot or cold...your choice, but it is so mind numbingly delicious that it is bringing tears to my eyes just thinking about it. *dab dab* I ordered mine hot and it was just fabulousity squared. And HUGE. The thing was enormous. I almost thought I should buy it a drink. It was the perfect thing to order if you are going to hit the appetizer and sushi bar hard. Dessert. Scarcely enough room, but it had to be done. Their dessert menu is full of decadent treats, but we both ordered the "Dueling Creme Brulee". One cupful of vanilla creme brulee and the other, a rich chocolate. Delicious separately...but spooned together, an absolute orgasmic (are you allowed to say that on Yelp?) experience. We coupled it with some specialty coffees, a cappucino for him and a Baileys coffee for me. The full menu is viewable on their website. The dessert menu, however, is not. But, I whipped out my camera and snapped a photo of it (oy, the things I do for you people...) and will post it for your perusal. The menu has it all, something for everyone. Italian dishes, meats, chicken, veal, several types of fish and pastas galore. If you can't find something to tickle your fancy here, then you need to get get yourself a new fancy. Yours is obviously malfunctioning. The atmosphere is supposed to be "sports bar" with all the TV's going...but it is SO not. It is very stylish. They had great music playing ranging from 80's pop to 70's funk to some smooth R&B. The service was top notch. The plates were cleared away in a timely fashion, water glasses were never empty and our server was absolutely adorable. She was good enough to give me a quick lesson on how to make the PB&J martini at home. But seriously? Why would I do that when this little treasure trove of a place is 20 minutes from my house! I think not! Let the husband CRAVE the deliciousness of the drink and take me out to Grille 54 again! There is not outdoor meal service, however, for you smokers, there are some seats outside for you to kill yourselves in the lap of luxury. Woo Hoo! Bonus! Grille 54 gets the Jewish Princess five stiletto heels up. Way up. And not the cheap, clearance shoes from Macy's. We are definitely talking Louboutins here. If you want a fun night out with faboo food in a great atmosphere, this is the place to "git 'er done". Sorry. Had to "go there". It IS still New Port Richey, after all.

I think on this visit, the Italian/American kitchen may have run out of salt and pepper or forgot how to use it. Our group of six came just before 5pm yesterday (a Saturday) and felt lucky we were seated as quickly as possible. The light went dim, and the music was turned up. For those who have never dined here- this restaurant is unique and attempts to cater to all kinds of patrons, young or older The music changes from 70's, 80's, dance music, mellow songs, folk songs...I personally like it and the ambiance is warm and comfortable. However, the music, and therefor the restaurant in general can get quite loud. It also has plenty of TV screens for sports lovers. Food: The appetizer of fresh mozzarella, which is breaded and fried, with a really good marinara sauce is awesome, but very small. Another appetizer, which was requested to be brought out with our entrees was large and mostly enjoyed. The tomato like broth was very watery with no flavor. The meatless egg rolls from the Japanese side of the menu, was enjoyed by one relative, another found it to be just okay, and was also small. Entrees were mostly a disappointment. One relative requested the steak salad with the steak cooked medium well. It was closer to medium/medium rare and he felt the salad was better overall on a previous visit. The chicken parm was not enjoyed by another relative. It says on the menu the pasta is chosen by the chef. It came out with penne and he thought it would be a spaghetti and overall lacked seasoning. One ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo, and was okay with it. She also ordered a margarita for her drink, which was a happy hour two-for-one special. The drinks came to our table at the exact same time. One had salt on the rim of the glass and one did not. Even with squeezing lime into the drink, and actually adding the salt into both, she could not drink more than two sips because they were extremely sweet. The twice baked potato, a favorite of ours, came out dry and lacked seasoning. The service here is usually the best, and it was on this visit at first. The relative who ordered the margarita(s) wasn't happy with them, and my beer was lukewarm. After the entrees were brought out, our server said something like, "I'll leave you to enjoy your meals." The management on the floor then had him and other staff members carry in what appeared to be a restocking of the bar. He didn't visit the table again for about a half hour. When we did finally get his attention, I ordered a different beer, which came nice and frosty cold, and we got refills on drinks. The special for last night was a sirloin steak and Australian lobster tail. No one was in the mood for a sirloin steak. My daughter and I ordered a Rib-eye, both medium rare. My steak was very rare, and my daughter's was medium. My steak lacked seasoning, as did hers, and didn't come out correctly temp wise. The steaks lacked the marbling of fat a Rib-eye has. The texture and taste is also much more in line with a sirloin. In no way am I accusing the restaurant of impropriety. It would make sense the steaks would be off because of confusion. The one who enjoyed her meal the most was my other daughter who had the miso soup and sashimi of octopus and scallops. The Japanese kitchen was on top of their game and can easily rival any "traditional" Japanese restaurant. There were some inconsistencies on this visit, but I would still recommend this restaurant.

The best restaurant in Pasco County as of now. I was told Bonefish may take that but after testing it out the menu isn't nearly as impressive. Grille 54, the gem of Pasco County, Florida. Personally, my highest recommendation for an entree would have to be the B-52 roll.

Came here on Jan 15, for my birthday with the family. Upon walking in, we put our name in for a table. She wanted to know if she could sit us outside...but it was about 60 degrees, so we opted to wait. Told 20-25 min, and we waited 45. And, to be honest, while we waited by the front door, the bartender folk kept coming in/out of the bar, and I felt like they were annoyed because we were standing there waiting for a table. Like they were in a huge hurry scurrying around us...it was awkward I suppose. There was a table with no chairs right there, so if they don't want people standing there, they shouldn't have a table there.... I know this really isn't anyone's fault per say....but the people ahead of us were not happy either with how long it took and left. We ordered the fresh mozz and the lobster/crab dip. The mozz was great, kids loved it. (Oh, we had three kids, and two adults.) The dip was ok. Not bad, just not good. This was a first time visit for our family...so we chalked it up to just not being our thing. Our waitress was AWESOME!!! I can't remember her name, cute little thing with a braided pony and reddish hair. She was very, very attentive. I ordered the parm chicken stack and that was great I enjoyed it. The caesar salad was pretty good too. Husband thought his house salad was meh. He ordered the sea bass with the little potatoes and asparagus. He didn't eat any of the sides, said the potatoes were overcooked. He liked his fish, but when I tasted it, it seemed very fishy to me. Kids meals were good. Tasted the kids mac and cheese, that was really tasty. The red sauce on my dish was fantastic. She sent us away with a chocolate mousse type cake/pie that we ate at home, and it was really good. So, in all in all, I doubt we will be coming again as a family, overall we though the price was not in line with what we ordered....very mixed review. I'm willing to give it another shot, maybe with some friends to try a couple other things out.

We ate there last night with friends. We went at 5pm. They were not busy but the service was very disappointing. We ordered appetizers and salads and the dishes were never cleared and so when the meal came it was a problem. We were never offered bread and were told later that it was on request only. How were we suppose to know that if we had never eaten there ? My fish and husbands steak were good. My friend did not like her chicken Marsala. My husband ordered sides that the server forgot. We won't be rushing back!

This is nice for a date night but nothing here that draws me back. We had sushi and felt that it was overpriced and didn't leave us wanting more. There is something to say about a place when you pay a big bill and are happy to pay, and when your not. It's one of the nicer places to go to and you won't feel over or under dressed. Great for a girls meetup but won't leave you wanting more.

Truly disappointing! There's allot I don't understand about this place. This is a restaurant that doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a sushi bar? A steak place? A wood burning oven place? Does it want the younger crowd or the 30 somethings? Maybe the older crowd?? Too many questions and not enough answers. Here's how it went for me and my party of 5.. Got there at about 5:45 and told there would be a 15 min wait / which was really odd because there were quite a few empty tables. Had s few drinks at the bar and spoke to another couple who were surprised they were waiting too. After about 30 min they guy at the desk asked if we wanted the open high top - the same open high top that had been empty since we got there!! Really odd to have waited so long for a table that was empty the whole time. Service was adequate- don't expect any bread and don't expect quick service on refills. The apps were good - fried mozzarella cheese was good - the 2 sushi rolls were great! Pricey, but worth it. Then came the long wait for main course that was so not worth it. If you order anything chicken (which 3 in our party did) don't expect anything great - it's obvious that the chicken is boiled and then tossed on grill as needed for the grill marks. The chicken was overcooked, mealy and just plain unappealing to taste. Chicken parm obviously nuked to come out hot. Chicken Benevento was like mush - wanted to send back but didn't want to stay another 40 min waiting for a new meal. Chicken & Sausage Scarpariello was so spicy it was inedible- that fake spice from a cheap seasoning that you just can't fathom- I like spicy, but this was overwhelming and unnecessary. Like bad Dollar Tree seasonings! Steak was ok but nothing memorable. Lobster was cooked well, but had to find server to ask for drawn butter which took a few minutes. Who serves lobster tail without drawn butter? This was our first visit to Grill 54 and will most likely be the last. Bar staff was excellent- attentive and courteous. But not enough to warrant another visit. I just can't see myself being within walking distance of so many great places and choosing this one. If you want a nice meal hit BoneFish - want a good steak? hit Outback - disappointed that our first visit here was for my wife's birthday! Will be taking her out tomorrow night again to make it right! She deserved better!

Great independent restaurant we hit up about once a month. We've been for Sunday brunch, dinner, and lunch over the years. You can tell it is well managed because the staff is great. We always get great service and the bartenders make great drinks. The menu is huge and we've tried just about everything. The appetizers are so good we barely ever order entrees. The lobster rolls and wedge salad are worth the trip.

I chose this restaurant for our party of 12 - a reunion of people we used to work with that we hadn't seen in years and this location was convenient for most of us. I can't say enough good things - from the hostess who was able to accommodate us on the patio even though our reservation was for inside, to Jordan, our waiter, who was simply outstanding and to the bartender - who was always right there when our glasses got low before we were seated. We had a variety of different food from calamari to sushi to pot stickers to pasta and all were excellent. We have decided this will be our gathering place for our group dinners from now on. The restaurant was packed and I can sure see why. Thanks for a very memorable night.

I love the Tampa locale, so when we decided to go for my birthday dinner to the Trinity location, closer to my family, I was all IN. Smaller than the Tampa spot, and less menu items it seems, but the food is just as good! My all time favorite dish at Grille 54 is the Eggplant Stack. Everyone in our party {eight total} seemed to enjoy their meals. The service was okay. Not bad, but seriously we receive ah-mazing service at the Tampa location, that I may be a tad biased. But either spot, I would highly recommend!

Not only does grill 54 have a beautiful, classy, up-pscale atmosphere but the service is always fun and professional. My favorite sushi is screaming delight. I was never a fan of sushi until I tried their screaming delight! Even if you do not care for sushi their menu is expensive everything from steak to fish to chicken to pasta.

Went here on Tuesday for sushi night and everything was great. Couldn't resist getting the Kobe burger again as well. We sit at the bar and the bartenders are always having a blast with the guests. Had to bump it up to 5 stars.

Amazing in every way. The serving staff is very knowledgable. The sushi was amazing. The Tuna-Su app is a must have. My girlfriend had the crab rangoons. This place is a perfect mix of casual and dressy!! We walked in, sat down and were served immediately. Our drinks were never empty. Out food came out so fast it was like they knew what we were going to order!!

I really need to frequent New Port Richey a little more. I haven't really been up that way since I was a child in the 90s, so I still had the impression that it was still kinda podunk, but I was glad to see that I was wrong. During my drive up there, I was starving for a new spot to eat and saw Grille 54. It was around noon on a Saturday and it wasn't much of a crowd so I was happy about that. When we walked in, I already knew that I was planning to get a big ol' sammich. The menu is exciting to look at and it made me hungry for a little of everything; sushi, soup, burgers...all of that. Tes was our server and she was just a pleasure. She told us about the special and made it sound so good that I could almost taste it and she just had an overall great vibe. I would definitely recommend trying to get seated at her table. I was hungry and inconsiderate of carbs, calories or any of that lame stuff. I ordered the Homer J which was a blackened turkey sandwich with onions, mushrooms, aioli and provolone. So.Damn.Good. I'll be back up that way to see what's up with the sushi!

I never made it into the restaurant. We have eaten at Grill 54 several times, and liked it enough to want to spend our anniversary there. When I called to get some assistance, here is what happened: Here is the email I sent them, it explains it all. Just wanted to let you know that I called the Trinity location today to try and get some assistance for my anniversary dinner. My wife likes to sit at one of the booths near the bar, and i called to see if we could reserve one for our first anniversary. I was told, after she checked with a manager, that she could not help me unless we were a party of 8. She was nice enough about it, but i was kind of surpised at the lack of interest or concern by your staff. I will be spending my anniversary at the Capital Grill in Tampa, who bent over backwards to get us a table at the time we wanted for our special occasion. Honestly, i dont know if I will be coming in to your restaurant again or not. Bewildered, Chris

This is where it started. I frequented this location until they opened one up near my house. The combination of itallian grille and sushi is outstanding. The food and service have always been top notch. They've introduced new menu items like the Risotto Balls and the Bison Burger. And their Whatahow Roll is yummylicious. This is a very nice restaurant. Atmoshphere is like a Bonefish Grill or a Carrabas. I've found the managers always very attentive and willing to make things right. This is not the cheapest place to eat. You want cheap? Try Taco Bell. But if you want a luscious Kobe Burger topped with onion rings and kalamata aioli (my second favorite spread right after hummus), come here.

In yelp's infinite wisdom my first post was not "recommended." I had the Chicken 54 the first time without pasta and now this time I got it WITH pasta and glad I did; that made it even better, this is one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had! I can't give 5 stars because so many items are over priced, especially the steaks. I know of a place near the Marriott that has perfect steaks for less money. I'll be back for the chicken.

My last experience was simple. After over an hour waiting for food to come out the entire order was wrong. I don't mean they forgot the side of demi-glaze wrong, I mean got a burger brought to me when I ordered pasta wrong. This was done x4 people that were ordering. No apology just a roll of the eyes from the waitress. Our sushi we ordered as an appetizer never came but we were charged for it. When we asked to speak to a manager he never showed. Was told he was having an argument with his girlfriend. This was my last experience and I'm cutting out a lot of the dialogue due to entry on my iPhone.

I love everything about this spot! The mood is great, the service is A+++ , and the food rocks!! Favorite sushi place around Tampa Bay by far!!! Food faves are Nam Bomb, Tempura Cowboy, Italian Nachos.. Yummy....and do not go with out an order of spinach bread, you will not be disappointed!

i tried this place for a second time today,i stopped after midnight for some sushi to take home, the place was almost empty but i wait more than 30 minutes,i think the line is slow, the bartender was not attentive, Ambiance i did not like,i think the music does not go with the place and looks upscale but it is not,too bad because the place deserve.

The food and drinks were very good, I particularly enjoyed some sort of Rasberry Martini. I had calamari as an appetizer and the lemon came in a little mesh bag to ensure the seeds didn't fall out into the food which I thought was clever. The service wasn't up to par; after my friend and I had finished eating our server took our plates, but it took almost 25 minutes for her to bring our bills even though we reminded her two seperate times. Also, we were seated in sort of hallway which lead directly to the restrooms. So basically, every person who walked by us was headed to the restroom and everytime the doors opened we could clearly hear the sounds of flushing toilets. Gross!!!! I do not think that any decent restaurant should put tables in a walking space that leads to the restroom. Other than that we enjoyed the experience and I would go back, although next time I will object sitting in that area.

We've been to Grille54 many times and only had one problem, the wait. Visit any time but Friday or Saturday evenings and there won't be a wait. And they don't offer reservations. The service and food are always impeccable. Anytime out of town guests arrive, we've always taken them there and they have always been impressed with our choice. I highly recommend this establishment for sushi or anything else. Every time we go there I've always tried something different on the menu and am glad I have. The management always stops at our table to check up on us to make sure we are having a pleasant dining experience. Always have so far. I suggest that if you do have an issue, Ask for a manager and I can say with absolute confidence that they will correct any issues you may be having.

"Overrated. Bland overcooked food at high price" We read the fine reviews and thought we'd try 'em. Well they're ok, but they're not Carrabas. We both had veal picata (not on menu), and sorry we did. No flavor, had to ask for lemon. Capers were premixed in the bland sauce which was over the noodles and not the veal. The sauce should be made with a white wine, which was obviously missing. I had to weed through the noodles to pick out the capers, and move them to the veal. I can't eat the noodles because I'm diabetic. We also tried the sushi sampler plate which was way overdone. The egg rolls are all cabbage - couldn't even find any protein. Overall, a very expensive evening for poor food. I felt like they have a line cook that needs training. I'd suggest they get a real chef.

Went there for dinner. Were greeted at the door by a Very enthusiastic host who seated us immediately. Joe was our server and he was great! Appetizer was fillet tips with melted blue cheese and it was to die for! We had sushi for dinner, which included the tuna lover roll, the sun-burn roll (simply amazing!) and California rolls. By far the best sushi either of us had ever eaten. With water to drink, the bill came to $40, which was acceptable considering how good the food was. We both left full and happy. :-) Highly recommend!

Not likely to return... the food was not the quality that we've had before. My favorite is the Lobster Mac & Cheese and it was too crusty. The Caprese Salad was fresh but we felt we got shorted on the Mozzarella and the manager said that is how they always make it. And, the beer choices that were advertised outside and in the menu they were out of. All I can say is that we've had better food and service from Bone Fish across the street.

When I arrived at Grill 54 around 5:30 PM on a Friday night, the dining area wasn't busy. There was a plethora of seating choices. I was in company of a party of three. We approached the host and we were immediately told that the only seats available were two tables of four that were immediately behind the host/hostess podium (or should I say drumming platform, more about this later). When we pointed out to the host (the lead drummer) that we wanted a booth and that there were 8-10 booths (75% of the available booths), he informed us that the booths were being held for call-in reservations. When asked about how to make reservations for future reference, we were informed that Grill 54's policy is to take reservations for parties of 8 or more people. The young whippersnapper obviously can't tell a reasonable fib as these booths only accommodate 4-6 individuals and don't meet the stated policy for 8 or more people. After we were finally seated in the front row, we were immediately treated to an acoustic mash-up of finger and pen drumming on the host/hostess podium, that was immediately behind us. We politely informed our waitress that this was very distracting and this didn't fit the environment; the drum session stopped for a few moments I thought it was intermission and I would be served dinner, as one of the members of my party already received their veal parmesan, I was still waiting for sushi for the next 15+ minutes. During those 15 long minutes watching someone in my party eat, I decided to ponder this restaurants business model. I have come to the conclusion that this restaurant uses its popularity in to put a façade on the true demand of their seats in order to push their prospective clients to the bar to order a few drinks. Conclusion- Call for a reservation for a party of 8, settle for a booth for 4-6 and have 5 no shows. Oh by the way the 8-10 booths that were open were still open and there was a 20+ minute wait when we left.

It's a little known fact that I am an avid motorcycle enthusiast and belong to a local bike gang. Nothing big, just a group of about ten of us who like to strap on some leather, rev up our bikes and hit the town. We recently decided to take a leisurely drive through Pasco County and see the sights. All of the excitement Pasco County had to offer really worked up our appetites, so we decided to stop in to Grille 54 and have a bite to eat. Grille 54 is located in a plaza that also hosts an Outback Steakhouse, so it was difficult to find parking for my BMW K1600GTL. After finally securing a spot, my fellow bikers and I made our way inside and were surprised to discover such a long wait at 8:30 on a Thursday night. This place was hoppin'! We decided to wait and grab some drinks at the bar, and luckily after not too long of a wait, we were seated at a large table outdoors. Boy did it feel good to sit down with a drink after cruisin' all evening. We started off with some apps, and I ordered the bruschetta for the table. It was good, not the best I have ever had, but still tasty. A couple of my biker friends ordered the risotto balls, and they were out of this world. I highly recommend ordering these as an app. I was devastated to discover that the restaurant was out of the gnocci casa...I had a real hankerin' for those delicious little potato pillows. Instead, I settled for the chicken benevento which was good, but just was not what I was in the mood for. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their drinks and meals. We had one incident where some funky tasting wine came out, but our server gladly replaced those glasses with fresh ones, and all was right in the world again. I would definitely eat at Grille 54 again, as there is something on the menu for everyone. My gang and I are already planning to rev up our bikes and head out one weekend for Sunday brunch....can't wait!

It's kind of a strange blending of sports bar, restaurant, and sushi bar, but they seem to pull it all together quite well. We (3 friends) had a late lunch there today. I was momentarily concerned when we walked in, and no one greeted or acknowledged us. Those concerns were quickly put to rest, and the service was quite good after that point. We ordered the Southwest Salad, Grille 54 Salad, hamburger, and two different sushi rolls for the table. All the ingredients were first rate. I had only two minor complaints with the food. The salads were served in a massive triangular bowl. It's actually so tall that it is a pain to eat from. The Southwest Salad was served with a lime-cilantro dressing. I never tasted any lime. None of this will keep me from returning. With a few tweaks, I could easily take my update to 4 stars or better.

Food is good. Try the Spinach bread - it is to die for. Melted goodness of Parmesan, garlic and spinach in an authentic french roll. The sushi is good - just tried the vegetarian, so it was good. Ordered Mahi Mahi with the Yuzu Mignotte, which was way sour and perfect with the fish. They have so many selections for the fish that I will have to go back and try again. Presentation is great. Cost perfect for this quality of food and service. Also, valet parking is complimentary, but not really needed! Seating area is nice. Inside is a happening place to meet people and to hang out. Outside is just as nice. This is the place to be in the Trinity area. Staff is efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Will be going again and I highly recommend this as a date night place, hangout or a place for more finer things in life.

If I could give them a 3.5, I would, but I can't. This place was nice, but nothing special. There is a pretty large menu, but that's not always good...too much to choose from. There is a nice sized sushi menu that my husband and father-in-law ordered from. It was pretty decently priced for sushi. My husband really liked it, though that may have been due to them having some great scotch that he got to try! He loved their selection. We ordered Bruschetta and Fried Mozzarella for appetizers. They were both good, again, nothing special. The topping for the bruschetta was way too garlic-y for our liking though. I wasn't really hungry, especially after the appetizers, so I ordered a side of risotto and an order of edamame. The edamame was a bit too salty for me, but I'm not a huge fan of salt. I usually eat my edamame plain. The risotto was pretty good, though I have had better. My mother-in-law ordered sliders which she didn't eat because they were burnt. She did enjoy her clam chowder though. I did like how they have regular slices of desserts, but you can also order a small size where you get about a 2x2 piece of the selected dessert in a glass dish. The tiramisu was very yummy. My in-laws enjoyed the red velvet cake, and my husband really enjoyed the peanut butter and chocolate brownie thing. It was WAY too much peanut butter for my mother-in-law and myself, but the boys ate it up! It also gets super busy in there, so go early, or call ahead! it's not too large, but it is a nice building. There is also a sushi bar to sit at.

I am appalled that this restaurant has a 4 star review. When you walk in the atmosphere is great. A pretty hip place for Pasco County and very busy too, so i thought that must be a good sign. THe drinks were awesome but it ends there. The menu was too huge and all over the place. I wasnt sure if it was italian, sushi, or steakhouse. Being overwhelmed i asked the waiter to reccommend an appetizer. He started with what NOT to order. While I appreciated his honesty, I dont think a waiter should start by telling you half the appetizers are no good. I orderded a lobster tail, which was reasonably priced at 19.95 with two sides. It was cooked fine, hard to mess up a lobster tail. The sides were terrible. Clearly the kitchen doesnt not how to make mashed potatoes or maybe just had an off night. THey were gooey, kind of like how they get when you let the potatoes cool before you mash them. The swiss chard I ordered was soaked in oil and butter and much to garlicky ( and i love garlic). When i told the waiter i didnt like the sides he offered to replace with the risotto but that he'd have to charge me extra. I think he mustve sensed a fit coming on because he ended up replacing them for nothing. The risotto was surprisingly good, so at least it kind of made up for it. The other complaint I have is that as huge as the menu is, the only vegatable they had to offer was the swiss chard. To only offer one veggie option is ridiculous for the health conscious. Great place to go for drinks, and maybe sushi, but eat dinner elsewhere or dont expect much.

Best Sushi I've had anywhere in Florida! Their sushi chef is creative and simply wonderful. They have a huge list of foods available on their menu and everything I've tried was amazing. My fav sushi: Nam-Bomb! Of course, it's not all sushi, they have a great "regular" menu too. The atmosphere is nice, kind of trendy/classy/bar type of thing. Plus, I've always had excellent service.

We arrived around 7:00 to learn there really was no reservation for our party for roughly 20 people. That whomever "Dan" is had not made a reservation outside on the patio for our birthday gathering. Apparently "Dan," though known at this location, did not work there and never made a call to inform this Grille 54 that we were coming. Nice. So, 2 hours later, we finally sat down. No, this location didn't start to section off an area or accommodate us with seating for 2 hours; they did provide a round of drinks and appetizers. OK, thank you, but for a party of 20+ people that goes very quickly and what we would have appreciated would have been to be accommodated with seating. It was obvious "Dan" messed up and though he hasn't got a pot to pee in at this location, we needed attention; not a free round of drinks and appetizers. We wanted to sit and celebrate our friend's birthday. People who walked in after us sat before us. Granted they were 2 or 4 people parties, but let's do the math. We stood there for 2 hours in which an entire section turned over. I've worked in customer service and hospitality for too long to not know what COULD have been done. Yes, it was Friday night and yes, the wait staff wants to turn tables over quickly, but we were a party of over 20 people WITH AMERICAN MONEY. We wanted to eat there... We weren't going anywhere... We could have gone to the Outback right next door...or heck, the Tijuana Flats a few doors down, but no, we stood there for 2 hours because this was where we wanted to celebrate. So, start closing off a section, tell your staff they won't be leaving early and SERVICE YOUR CUSTOMERS. Whomever the manager was that night was fine. He handled us fine. He gave us free drinks and free appetizers, fine; tell that to my lower back and the fact that I won't ever eat at this location again. The food was so-so. We were a party of 20+ people ordering after 9pm... Order something simple that won't be screwed up; my ravioli though the sauce left a lot to be desired, was warm and tasted fine. It didn't blow my mind; I wouldn't order it again, but it didn't suck. What I wanted was to sit down by 7:30 and order a steak and drink some beers. I wanted to pay for all my drinks; I went out with the idea I was going to spend some cash. I spent less; I expected to use my credit card - I paid with cash. When I was told I had to pay for my second drink because the free drink allowance was met, I told the waiter, "I don't care, that's fine. I would have paid for my first drink." I went to Grille 54 to celebrate my friend's birthday and have dinner and be home before 10pm; not be put off with comps while management does NOTHING but wait for the first party of 20 to leave... Really? At 11pm when I did get home, my daughter was asleep and well, I wasn't impressed with Grille 54 at all. My friends? They were great. Tons of laughs; we can do that at BW3s though and maybe next time we should. Our servers were fine. They knew they were getting the raw end of the deal. They just wanted to earn their keep and go home. I tipped our waiter more than 20% because I know his job sucks. Maybe I've eaten at too many high end places that bend over backwards, maybe I am hard to please, but I know Grille 54 could have done way more to make sure we sat down well before 9pm.

I followed some trusted Yelpers to this place, but was very disappointed. Food was just ok. Service was horrid. Overpriced for the way they treat you and the food that comes out of the Kitchen.

Went to Grill 54 for Father's Day. I have eaten here before and never had any issues until today. To start off, we are told there will be a 10-15 minute wait. I have no issues with waiting however it took 30 minutes for us to get a table. Once we were seated no one came over to take our drink order. After about 15 minutes, we ask the person who sat us if they could get someone to help us. Of course she says, yes. Another 10 minutes passes and still no one shows. Locate a manager and tell him we had been sitting at our table for approximately 25 minutes and no one has came to get our drink order. He says he will have someone come over. Another 5 minutes passed and we finally have a waitress. She said she just arrived at work and was assigned our table. We order our drinks, appitizer and entree. I ordered a medium well Ribeye, my wife ordered a Pasta Alfrado dish without any parmesan cheese, and my father-in-law ordered a 6 ounce Filet Medium. The waitress did not know what sides they were offering today because she just arrived. She came back a minute later and told us the daily sides, which was fine. Once the food arrived, my Ribeye was Medium (at best), the wife's pasta had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and my father-in-law's Filet was well done. Needless to say my experience was horrible and the bill was about $100 for four people! I think for the price we paid, all of our meals should have been cooked as ordered. I checked the receipt and the waitress did list what we ordered correctly however only my mother-in-law's tempura shrimp were cooked properly.

Well I really had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately I had the Yellow tail lovers sushi roll and got violently ill 2 hours later. The rest of the food I had was actually pretty good for New Port Richey standards. The appetizers, stuffed mushroom and meatballs were average. Not sure if I would go back for food, definitely would return to have drinks. The bar is really nice.

I took my wife out to Grille 54 for date night last month, and I must say, the best food I've had in some time. Robust and diverse menu along with great service. Our server kept the drinks coming and asked every 10 minutes or so if everything was ok. Only drawback, which is not a huge deal is the size. It is a tad small, but it gets 5 stars from me and my wife.

What a wide variety of choices and everything our table ordered was outstanding with generous portions! We kept watching what was being served at other tables and we can't wait to go back and order more off this varied menu. You have to try the spinach bread! I read an earlier review and it couldn't have been more incorrect. WOW, a list of things? What's up with that? Anyway, our party highly recommends a visit to Grill 54 for fun and fastastic food and service. Enjoy this great new and fun restaurant!

The menu has two sides: sushi and Italian. Sounds weird but the sushi was really, really good with a huge variety of rolls. I thought their rolls were very unique but very expensive. I ordered the tuna lover's roll, which was $3 more expensive than a similar salmon roll I had at a Japanese restaurant in Jacksonville last week. I also got the state road 54 roll which was pretty good. The seaweed salad was as good as I've ever had. My husband got the yellowtail lover's roll which he kindly shared, and it was the best roll of the night, perhaps the best roll I've ever had. I got to finish off the meal with a lovely little tiramisu, a first for a night of sushi. Our server took very long to initially come to our table, but was very helpful and efficient following the initial delay. Also, our sushi took longer to arrive than at a typical sushi restaurant. Oh, and just about every roll had cucumber or krab in it, which was annoying, but they gladly took it out upon request. Our bill was almost $100 for a beer, mojito, salad, 5 rolls, one order of nigiri, and a dessert shot. A little too pricy for anything but a special occasion. Will definitely go back when I've got birthday or Christmas money.

last night was my first time going to this place... I see that they have a sushi bar.. will hit that next time... but, Monday nights is all you can eat crab legs... I will have to say they were the best legs I think that I have ever had...I didn't have to wait for more legs I just had to tell the lady that I'm done... no more please. so, if you love crab legs and want to spend 2-3 hours relaxing with friends and family and eating crab... then I hope to see you there next time....

Grill 54 has probably the best sushi around! The portions are large, the staff is friendly and the price is reasonable. They have this specialty roll called the Lighting Roll that is absolutely awesome! Besides the sushi, Grill 54 has an excellent dinner and lunch menu that will satisfy the most picky of diners. So if you're looking for something different I highly recommend you check this place out!

I've eaten here at a few times and the food, service and vibe are excellent. It's hard to find a non-chain restaurant in the area. The sushi is ridiculous. I don't know where they found the sushi chef or such fresh fish in this part of FL, but that alone is worth the trip to Grille 54.

Wonderful food and great atmosphere!! Love this restaurant and probably the best around this part of town. Very fresh sushi and the servers are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. All drinks are made special and totally up to date with new drink recipes. Kids will love it as well, at least mine do!

We've eaten there three times now. The ambiance is very good - dim lighting, good music and a tastefully decorated layout. Although it's difficult to tell with a new business, the times we've been on a weekend, the place was busy with a good crowd. The first time we ate there, we were blown away - the food was excellent, the portions enormous and the prices reasonable. Since we've been back, they seem to have cut back on portion sizes (still good, but not ridiculous like before) and on some of the amenities (the used to bring a basket of spinach bread, gratis, now they charge $2.50). The entree's are a mix of Italian and typical upscale grill food. I've tried their salads, the lasagna, the chicken parm and the chicken marsala - all were very good. As for appetizers, the bruschetta was disappointing, in both size, presentation and flavor. It's not a good sign when Olive Garden's blows yours away.... All in all, we enjoy the restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone in the vicinity.....also, a good place if you are dining with another couple or two....nice, friendly atmosphere and not too noisy.

I live in the area and saw the health department sign on it about 6 months ago. yuck!!

We have been going to grill 54 for the last five years and we can say their food is very consistent . Very nice atmosphere, I like their lunch menu . For sure it's one of the best places for Sushi in Tampa bay

Decent restaurant. Friendly staff. Food is its biggest fault. Lobster Mac n cheese is greasy and has a doughy consistency. Sushi is good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
