Different concept. You figure out what kind of meat you sandwich you want (turkey or ham & pork or beef or chicken or seafood or vegetarian or Italian or R&D (limited) or Classics or Breakfast), then you grab the respective bag, select the specific type of sandwich (for instance, if you select the chicken, your options are Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Pesto, Chicken Cordon Bleu or Chicken Salad), then select bread, size, hot or cold, and all the condiments. Then you just hand the empty bag to the cashier, he/she will ring it up and they'll put your sandwich in your bag after they make it and call your name. Presto Chicken Pesto! On my Chicken Pesto Hotwich, I added provolone, pesto, honey, light mayo, lettuce, dried cranberries and walnuts. Aside from the way you order a sandwich, what makes Which Wich unique is the variety of condiments you can add to your sandwich. What other sandwich shop has dried cranberries and walnuts? (They actually put them in a little cup so I can add them to my sandwich but I just snacked on them instead.) I was pretty happy with the sandwich I concocted. Everything I added went together pretty well. The only flaw of Which Wich is their bread. I didn't like the taste that much - it wasn't bad, it just tasted a little doughy. Jimmy John's bread is much better. Since bread is half the sandwich, I knocked off a star for that. Otherwise, I'm a fan. The service was great and the place was very clean. The food came out pretty quick and it's cheap by the way ($5.50 for 7 inch). Very nice fountain drink selections. It's a shame that it's located way up by USF so I won't be a frequent customer. But it's an international chain so maybe I'll visit them in another country. It will give me a reason to visit Qatar or Guatemela.

The concept is like chipotle, which is great because it's all about customizing now a days. You go In And grab a card and on it are a lot of options. You mark what you want and hand it to the cashier, and that's it. Very convienant . I honestly thought it was okay, but that maybe just what I had gotten. I had gotten the Philly there and it was very under seasoned. Also it was a bit pricey for the size that you get as well.

I'll go out on a limb and say that this place isn't a good option for those that are indecisive because the amount of options may be overwhelming for some. For those that are constantly customizing their orders at all restaurants- this is a great place to get exactly what you want! I especially appreciate the amount of options for sandwich sizes and amount of bread. If you want just a little bit of bread, they can make your sandwich 'skinny' but scraping out some of the bread guts to make room for more delicious fillings. With lots of different protein options, cheese options, veggie options, and other condiments, you can really get creative being a Sandwich Artist. So go ahead and get creative with that sriracha, peanut butter, and hard boiled egg! You can only blame yourself for your mad scientist creation ;)

This is my first mobile Yelp review. I have been curious about this place since construction started a few weeks back. My friend at USF is a huge fan and recently visited Which Wich in Orlando and raved about it making me interested. It can be a little confusing during the first visit because the way of ordering is different from your typical fast-casual restaurant that calls for you to pick as you go - you pick all your ingredients in advance here instead. Luckily, the owner and manager helped me out to learn the process. For my visit I decided to go with the Gyro Classic ($6.50) which comes with gyro meat, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, red onions, tomatoes, and french fries. An order of chips ($1.25) and a soda ($1.75) brought my order to $10.17 which wasn't bad - However I was not aware that they offer 10% student discounts so take advantage if you are from USF. The gyro is part of the R&D Test Kitchen which brings new menu items on a regular basis to the business. I have to say that this gyro is fantastic! The taste is just right and the flavors honestly can rival Little Greek and other Greek chains. I am surprised to say the least. The portions are just right and makes a good lunch that is not too heavy. I am going to have to pay more visits to Which Wich to explore their menu as there are over 51 choices available - but its certainly made a great first impression.

At work we order online from this sandwich shop a lot. I personally love the elviswich. The peanut butter & bananas with honey is where it is at.

After passing this shop dozens of times, I finally had a reason to stop. We were super hungry! The menu board is confusing at first, but the staff came over and helped and then it was just fun deciding what to put on your sandwich and completing the little bag order form. I had the turkey Reuben, which is pretty basic. The bread was very fresh and warm and there was ample turkey and sauerkraut. The thousand island dressing was different than I have ever eaten, but worked. A small milk shake was the topper. Put me over my allowed caloric intake but was very good. Overall, I think it's a great menu, not overpriced, and would try it again.

Love the concept of ordering via a bag system. Grab your bag of choice and circle your list of ingredients. No waiting for annoying patrons who can't make up their minds about what they want on a Sammie. It's not rocket science people, it's lunch! The Sammie's are freshly made and they have lots of veggie options. I have been to the store in nc and very glad to see we now have a tampa location. Very close to Mosi, usf, making it very convenient when in the area. My tomato and avocado sand which was satisfying and prepared exactly how I ordered. I think they got the KISS principle right, keep it simple stupid! Will return as the selections are varied enough to try more.

I stopped in to which which one day when I was running errands to grab a sandwich because I was so hungry. I'd heard good things about this place and recently received a coupon in my email. when I walked in I noticed the order menu board on the wall. While trying to decide on which wich to choose, I must have looked dazed and confused because one of the staff members came over to ask if it was my first time visiting. She then explained how to make my selections and order. She verified my order when I presented it to her at the register making sure I had everything I desired. I really appreciated her courteousness and assistance. Now to talk about the sandwich, I ordered the chicken pesto served hot and it was so good. I've eaten at a lot of sandwich places but what I love about Which Wich is the non traditional options available. I'm intrigued and interested in trying some of the other options. This is definitely a place I would return, too bad there isn't one on my side of town because I'd probably go more often.

First of all, the place is very clean and seems new. Moving away from cleanliness, I have to say that I like their approach to ordering food. You pretty much choose what you want on your sandwich on the paper bag you ultimately get your food in. Additionally, the people are nice and the prices are good too. I will definitely be back.

Hmmm. It's a pretty cool place!! Literally just went there because it popped up out of no where. SO MANY OPTIONS AND COMBINATIONS. Drove us crazy and we couldn't decide what we wanted. So they have this thing called a bowlwich, which is pretty much a salad bowl with your choice of meat! I went with the corned beef bowlwich, and got a hotwich (hot meat)! So many wiches... The options as I said were endless. So many veggie options to put on your dish and dressings. You can ask them to put the sauce that you choose on the side so you can taste how it is before you put it in. Seriously though. Go back many many times to try all of the combos. Totally worth it!

Awesome Cuban sandwich in birth place of Cuban sandwich. Slightly more pricey compared to subway but it is worth it as the menu is more up-scaled. The ordering system in unique and by filling out a form on your sandwich bag.

A great franchise. Seems like the love child of subway and chipotle. They taken elements from both-- the assembly line construction of sandwiches and the pseudo-industrial interior. What they do differently is the ordering system where you fill out a sheet of the ingredients you want included. Pop quiz! Reminds me of a standardized test, but at least the answers are delicious. Their options are vast and they also have a rotating featured item titled "research and development." Most importantly their ingredients are fresh compared to other sandwich shops. Their cookies are also baked to order. The price and quality makes this a great stop for students. They are close to usf so they can get busy. It may take a few tries to find the right sandwich for you but they have something for everyone.

My colleagues & I stopped by for an early lunch specifically to try their Shrimp Banh Mi Sandwich & they were OUT OF IT! #ridiculous -- so why do you advertise & then not have it even available ?????

I was turned onto Which Wich? on a golf trip to Atlanta when my golf pal offered to buy me lunch after our morning round. That was not only an outstanding golf day at two tremendous courses, but it was the beginning of a very good relationship with a consistently strong option in the sandwich business. Whether it has been Atlanta, Orlando or this location near the University of South Florida, I know Which Wich? is going to be good. As my fellow Tampa Bay Yelper Brett N put so eloquently, "The customization can't be beat." The concept is so simple: Pick your bag specific to your style of sandwich and mark up the bag with all the specifics on how you want it prepared. It is like taking a sharpie to paper taste test and I find it fun to do on every visit, because it offers so many options. On this visit, I grabbed bag #3 and starting customizing my own cheesesteak right down to the always necessary house chips to give it a little crunch. I also liked the PB&J project they promote to help feed others less fortunate and I would have grabbed one of those to eat later for only $3, but they are doing so well with this promotion that they ran out. RARELY am I in the USF area, so on my visits to play USF's inexpensive golf course, this Which Wich? serves as my 19th hole for a quality lunch. Now, if only we can get one of these over in the International Plaza area, I would be extremely pleased.

So the concept is really cool....but I feel it's just that...still a concept. It feels like it's still in the testing stage and definitely has room for improvement. The bag thing is odd to me unless you are taking your order to go in it, and it's not a salad. Otherwise, it's kinda wasteful n useless I feel. PLUS, the salad should have its OWN bag and you should have every option on it there to circle. Not every "wich" bag had all the ingredients I wanted for my salad. So I had to finally just pick a bag and forego some of the things I wanted on my salad cuz they were on a different bag so I wouldn't waste 2 bags on a salad that was never going to fit into either bag.....am I loosing you yet????!!! Good!!! Cuz this is how crazy n nuts n A.d.d. I felt in this place trying to figure out wtf I wanted and how to tell them with circles n bags re: what I wanted. Ughhhh ....in the end the salad nor its ingredients were any better or worse than the Grab n go salads at publix or airport terminals. Not bad not great just a salad. :/

Went there Sunday for lunch. Very friendly girl working the counter and was very attentive. Great sandwiches however does take a little while to make it.However, it is worth the wait and will def be back.

Great place for a quick bite. I was suspicious of the lettucewich I ordered, but it was an impressively well-wrapped sandwich with no major leaking of ingredients. I had the crab and artichoke that ended up be pretty tasty. I love all of the awesome toppings available including but not limited to olive salad, three kinds of onions, and pesto. I definitely would plan to come back to try other stuff. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Add in a 10% USF discount, and it's hard to beat their prices for the quality of the food. I'd definitely recommend checking out the lettucewich if you like lettuce wraps.

I bookmarked this place a while ago and finally got around to trying it. Overall great food, but it is a little confusing when you first walk in. You actually write your order on your own personal paper bag. I wish they had someone at the counter writing station to help answer questions. I got a chicken pesto thing as a spinach salad- which turned out to be delicious. Food came up pretty fast from when I ordered. Since this is fairly close to work, I plan to visit again on a lunch break

Fresh sandwiches with a "have it your way" attitude. Had the Italian grinder on wheat. This place was a great find. Will return to try a different variety of sandwiches. Seating was pretty scarce and the quarters were tight. Don't go during the lunch hour. Would have given five stars otherwise.

I am a frequent customer at this establishment and I can honestly say I have NEVER eaten a bad or ill-prepared sandwich. A lot of the bad reviews on here seem to be from people who obviously didn't read the menu/bags correctly before ordering. This place is amazing, and I know for a fact that all the ingredients are fresh. I can't really say anything about the meat products because I am a vegetarian-- but the vegetarian options are superb! I recommend the black bean patties or the hummus-- they are both really good! My boyfriend always gets the siracha tuna (we've eaten there at least 20 times and he never changes his order because it is so good). And a friend of ours always recommends the buffalo chicken. What makes this place my favorite personally is the amount of options there are to customize your sandwich! I recommend getting the house chips and/or the onion crisps on your sandwich-- they are so unhealthy but soooooo good. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly and very helpful. I am so adamant about telling people about this place because it has seriously never disappointed me. I HIGHLY recommend you go and see for yourself!

Why 4 stars? Because the customization can't be beat. --- --- --- It's the like the anti-Subway! I love this place. There are so many options, it's pretty ridiculous. Having options like cheez whiz, feta, hummus, horseradish mayo, and crispy onion strings is just the most clutch. I can't wait to go back and try the Monte Cristo... any time I see that on a menu, it feels like a requirement. Somehow I avoided it during this visit. My only complaint is - with all of the crazy varieties on sandwiches, I wish they would spruce up their chip selection as well. Maybe some Zapp's? If you get the voodoo ones, I solemnly swear I'll eat at Which Wich more than the legal amount.

Bread, meat, toppings, etc are fresh. Can order hot sandwich, but it seems more like it was nuked than toasted. Menu is complicated and a bit confusing (have to request Swiss cheese as a topping on a chicken cordon bleu sandwich). Similar to a Firehouse Sub restaurant, but not quite as good. No chips or fries, etc available from what I could see.

I was so happy to find a Which Wich here in Tampa. While there are tons of sandwich chains, Which wich offers an amazing level of customization and some really unique options. I love turkey sandwiches and could happily eat one every day if I could jazz them up here. Hummus, muffuletta-style olive salad, spinach, mushrooms, sriracha, sauekraut, and dried cranberries are just some of the many options. Lots of cheese and spread choices and even three kinds of onion to choose from. My turkey sammy with olive salad and a few other veggies was delicious and steamy. Good service and friendly staff. I chose to head home with my grub but the dining area was clean and welcoming. Now if only they weren't so far from my house...

I love this place! The quality is great and the service is fast. They have never messed up my order either. Their house chips are to die for. I always get the turkey club bowl-which and it's awesome.

I love the way you order. Pick a bag mark what you want and the go to the counter and pay. The employees were friendly and helpful. I'd never been in the store before and an employee walked me through the entire process. I had the lettuce wich Muffaletta. It was amazing. Made just perfectly. Meat and vegetables were great quality and very fresh.

I love how they have you order, but it is a bit confusing at first. Grab a brown bag and mark it with a sharpie with what you want on your sub. Total customization. It was delicious, and 100% better than trying Subway, Quiznos or Blimpies. They also have a which which cup you can reuse, and bring in for a discounted drink.

Which Wich has been open for a few months and I pass by it almost every day, but just managed to stop in last week. They were just about to close (9pm? C'mon, you're next to a big school!). I was filling out my order when the employees locked the door. While I was inside, a few people were trying to come in but found a locked door instead. Missed sales! I ordered a buffalo chicken and liked being able to mark everything I wanted. There were tons of toppings and sauces you could add. The order came quick and was excellent. Prices are a little high but it was worth it. I'll be stopping by again!

I did like this place and I think the concept is unique and adds a little fun to a workday sandwich lunch. Had the Bahn Mi R & D Special. It was good but really just a BBQ Pork sandwich with some Bahn Mi toppings, which where sort of sparse. The Pulled Pork had a lot of sauce, tasty but pretty salty and overpowered the veg. I didn't notice the sriracha mayo, again the sauce on the pork took over everything else about the sandwich. The bread was really good. The house chips were OK, seemed like they may have been a little stale but I prefer house made stuff over the typical processed offerings. They play good music in this store and the staff were very friendly. I was here about half hour at lunch time and seemed like every customer that came in was a new customer and required instruction on the ordering process, which the staff gladly offered. There is a lot to choose from here including vegetarian items, lettuce wrapped sandwiches and bowls. I will be back and try something else. I saw plenty to interest me.

First time eating at one of these and I have to say it was awesome. I loved the ordering system as it was simple and ensures you communicate exactly what you want. We ordered a few different sandwiches and they were all good. My son even ate two grilled cheese sandwiches!!

This place is pure crap. Really a great gimmick with the bags and the clothesline. But that is where it ends. The meat is cheap Hormel processed garbage. The bread is lousy. It has the wrong texture and density. It cannot stand up to the toasting. The sodium level is off the chain and overwhelms. There is zero balance to this product. We had four different subs. They were all just crap. The place was clean. The staff was nice. Honestly Subway is better than this place and I hate Subway. Don't waste your time.

I was a little disappointed to find out they used deli meat in my sandwich, but once I got over that I realized it was actually pretty good! I really like the way their ordering system works, and can't wait to go back and experiment. I have to say the best part was their oreo shake, though. It was absolutely delicious.

Was excited to try this place out and was greatly disappointed. He ordered the ultimate with double meat and cheese and I opted for the crab salad on a bed of spinach and lettuce with cucumbers and 2 kinds of cheeses. His sandwich was so tiny and 90% bread. The stuff inside it was really not that great. You'd have a better shot at hitting a gas station Subway right before they close for fresher ingredients. My salad? Dude, really? It was 90% greens with three bites of imitation crab on the top straight out of the can and a slice (not strips or grated) cheese laid right on the top. Don't be lazy with a salad when there's not a lot of effort required in the first place. Last item ordered was an iced tea. It was the most rancid tea I have ever tasted in my life. When was the last time the pot was cleaned out? For those 3 items, it was around $20. On top of the awkward entire staff staring the entire time like Children of the friggin' Corn made the atmosphere seem quite unwelcoming. We will not be returning.

This is essentially a fancier (if I can really even use that word) Subway. The concept is cool. You pick the category you want then mark on the bag exactly what you want. This leaves out the most annoying part of Subway which is telling the person what you want over and over. Overall, the sandwiches were nice. I got the black bean patty and my boyfriend got the Reuben that they have for a limited time. They were good. Fantastic, no. I don't know if they're worth the price. For both sandwiches and a drink, I spent a little over $20. That's a lot for sandwiches. That seems more like a sit down restaurant price. I do like their big plastic reusable drink cup. I hate throwing away do much, and it was a quarter more. I think with the smaller paper cup you don't get refills, but I'm not sure. Overall, I liked it, but I don't know when I'll come back.

Good stuff. My wife and I are in town visiting my parents, and was looking for a sandwich for lunch. We saw this place from the road and decided to stop. Good sandwiches, I had the reuben, wife had the turkey reuben, and my parents shared the wicked. Good fresh toppings, the and reubens were delish. My parents thought the wicked was 'alright', but my parents think that everthing they eat is 'alright'. Good different alternative to JJ's or Subway.

I moved here from Austin, which is where this place started I think, and it's my second favorite sandwich shop. Ever. I was actually sad about leaving it behind. When I was driving down Fowler a few months back and noticed that this little gem made it's way all the way out here, I literally squealed in excitement and happiness. way you order is really interesting and completely takes away the anxiety of having to tell that half deaf person behind the sneeze-guard counter of ehat you want. I have tasted a few of the many different sandwiches they have there, but my favorite is the Cuban. I add some pretty weird stuff to it, not gonna lie, and they never judge me. Which is nice. The price is a little higher than your average sandwich shop, but that's because it's not your average sandwich shop. I love it and am so glad it's here. It makes me miss Texas just a little less.

With the arrival of Which Wich in Tampa I have yet another reason to never go back to Subway again. Their ordering system is a little confusing if you've never been there before. You walk in and have to grab a bag that corresponds to the type of sandwich you want (for example, bag #4 for chicken). You then take a sharpie and mark the bag appropriately to indicate exactly how you would like your creation made. It always makes my heart sink when the person in line in front of me at Subway pulls out a piece of paper. That means you're going to be there for a long time because that person wants multiple sandwiches made. Here at Which Wich that wouldn't be an issue because you'll be finished writing down your order way before them. You take your bag to the counter, pay for your meal, and a few minutes later they present you with your sandwich in the same bag you had marked. While I did feel that the meal that I got here was much better than Subway I can't say that I liked it more than what I can get at the Wawa (that's open 24 hours) down the street. I would eat here again but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.
