The BBQ brisket and the Mac N Cheese are legit and on point. Fantastic customer service as well! I'm glad to have found this place.

Bought a Groupon that said it was good for 2 combos. I called to use it for take out and ordered the quarter chicken and rib combos. The woman tells me to rib combo is not included for the Groupon. It doesn't say that anywhere on the Groupon, but fine. Can I pay extra to get the rib combo? She says "I guess so". I go to pick up the order and the place is empty. Very basic setup with a few tables and chairs. It is off by itself in a strip mall behind a Shell station. I redeem my Groupon which says it has an $18 value since I paid $9 for it. The quarter chicken combo is $7 and the rib combo is $9. Last time I checked that comes out to a total of $16, but I am still charged an extra $2.14. Whatever, nickel and dime me if you want to play that way I still paid $11.14 for $16 worth of food. Maybe it will be worth it and the BBQ will be great and I will return. NOT! Ribs were okay at best and that was only the parts that weren't all fat. Beans were nothing special and had chunks of fat in them. The quarter chicken was way overcooked and completely dry. Only thing that made it edible was the spicy BBQ which was the high point of the food. The Mac and cheese was baked until completely dry and tasteless. Go to Big Mike's on Sheldon instead! They are super nice and their BBQ and sides are the real deal!

Dropped by this evening after the gym after getting a whiff of barbecued meat in the air. I wanted to try the brisket but they were out. Instead the very friendly cooks gave me some Jamaican chicken and Jamaican pork to try. It was probably one of the best tasting chicken wings I've had. It was not overpowering with sauce or salt. Done perfectly. Then they gave us free samples of bread pudding. Also fantastic. Needless to say, we'll be back. Yes it was a little smokey but it's BBQ. Jamaican style.

We went at dinner time on a Tues. Our 1st impression was to walk back out when the man inside said "HI We have NO ribs No greens NO brisket NO Tea" My Groupon was expiring so we chose to take home food. YUCK!! Everything came off of a steam table and had probably been there since Lunchtime. The pulled pork was not pulled but mealy and dry and sour!(we spit it out) The mac n cheese was dried up frozen heated on a steam table until it was completely inedible. The coleslaw (not dated) was also sour. We took our food home and threw it all away. This place has all the signs of a restaurant going out of business..and if it's not it should!! Please don't waste your money!! Also, Groupon gives you the opportunity to rate your experience for the owners. I did that, his response? "Thank you for ur comment" WHAT??!! STAY AWAY!!

Not worth the calories. I got the pulled pork sandwich. I wanted sweet tea and cole slaw but was told they had not gotten around to making it yet. The pulled pork was dry, and I was given a tiny tiny cup of BBQ sauce. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Used to a Living Social coupon to try this place. The food - ribs, mac n cheese, and beans - were cold. Scary to think how long they had been sitting on that steam table at room temperature. Truly a very dangerous food service practice!! Mac n Cheese had a very funky taste and one bite was all my wife could stomach. The beans tasted like something right off the shelf at Wal-Mart. We won't be back and don't recommend this place to anyone.

No. Just no. I ordered a brisket sandwich to go on which they put a WHOPPING three (3!!!!) pieces of meat. Talk about piling it on . . . . Got home, took a bite and realized 2-1/4 of those 3 slices were nothing but pure fat. Absolutely disgusting. Had to throw it away. Will never go back.

We purchased the groupon hoping to find a great BBQ place near home. The smoker is inside the building which caused a very smokey atmosphere. Flies were swarming the entire place. The brisket was nothing but fat and hardly no barbecue sauce. The beans were runny and bad tasting. And to top it off, the water I received was hot. I will never eat there again.

Smells SO good when you walk in. Andre is very dedicated, friendly, and offers great customer service. The brisket is FANTASTIC, and my husband and I love the homemade cole slaw. My daughter (age 7) asks for the brisket now too. We've only had take out, so I can't speak about the dine-in a experience. Stop in and try it...you won't be disappointed!

Bought a groupon and tried it out with my daughter. The worst BBQ I've had in Tampa. The ribs were so tough, they reminded me of beef jerky. The beans had no flavor, like they were right out of a can of generic store brand beans. My daughter liked the pulled pork, but her Mac and cheese was stuck together like paste and had no flavor. There was no garbage can to throw away our trash. Just a bad experience. I don't think we'll be using the other groupon we purchased.

No one was in restaurant when I got there Saturday 7pm. I should not get in there. Anyway I ordered . Never had bad bbq like it. I am really sorry to the owner but you make bbq better or should not sell it.

Purchased a groupon in hopes of finding good bbq ....wrong! The tables were dirty, bugs flying around, and the place was empty at 1pm on a Saturday. Sould have walked out then but instead we figured since we were starving , we would try it. We ordeded 2 pulled pork sandwiches and mac and cheese. Both sandwiches had huge chunks of fat, the pork tasted like it was 3 days old and reheated for the third time. The mac and cheese was crusty and held together by cheese singles. The bbq sauce that came in a small paper cup had no taste. Threw out after tasting it, and ended up going elsewhere. Disgusting!

I decided to check out this restaurant after purchasing a Groupon. Overall, I was disappointed. On Sundays, the restaurant opens at 2 PM. I arrived at 1:45. The place was completely empty. I wondered if food would be ready to be served when the place opened. At precisely 2:00, the owner and another worker pulled up in a vehicle that had a grill/smoker hitched to it. My first thought was that the meat was cooked off the premises and then brought to the restaurant. Upon entering the place, I was greeted by heat (no A/C) and a bunch of flies. I also noticed that there was several covered pans of food on warmers that didn't seemed to be on. I asked the owner if the food was hot. He responded, "Some of it." He then informed me that I could wait 30-40 minutes for the food to warm up or heat it up myself when I got home. He explained that he came in earlier in the morning to put the food out and then he went to church prior to arriving back at the restaurant. The food just wasn't ready because they just opened. After hearing this, one customer walked out. I should have done the same. One comes to a restaurant for fresh, hot food, not leftovers. Despite this, I opted to take my food to go. When I reached home, I found the ribs to be undercooked and under seasoned. I finished them off in the oven for an additional hour. The brisket was mostly fat. The mac and cheese was ok, but it tasted like it was made with cheese slices. The baked beans were canned. FINAL VERDICT: Skip Westchase BBQ. You can save money by reheating your own leftovers.
