Horrible food and customer service. I have ordered from here multiple times, and this will be the LAST! I ordered delivery, took an hour to receive my food(estimated 30 mins)when I looked through my food half my order was missing. I called to complain and the man on the phone argued with me, was just blatantly rude and was refusing to send the rest of my food out. Afterwards I went to eat my food and it was the worst quality food you could imagine, egg rolls were incredibly small and flavorless, krab rangoon had little to NO filling. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! Also there was an unknown white substance on my food. What a waste of $50!

Hands-down the best sushi in the Tampa area (try the Sapporo Roll). The staff is super friendly and they quickly become like family to their regulars.

We order sushi from this place about twice a week. It always gets here within half an hour and tastes pretty good for sushi delivery! Good prices and fast service. Solid for late office food.

Nasty gross and down right revolting. I gave this place 3 different tries. If you like fried dishes they are decent. It's hard to screw that up. But forget about anything else. Ps I can only speak to their Chinese dishes

The first and each experience there after has been very consistent, always a pleasure to show up and be treated by a very concerning and accommodating staff. If coming here for the first time I would recommend the volcano and the Tokyo roll! Totally awesome to taste these fresh creations. Their sashimi is also fantastic. So go ahead, I dare you. Try it out! In conclusion ...Amazing place! Extremely friendly staff! Amazing sushi.....and the best part it's affordable! My wallet sure loves that!

NOTE: this review is strictly on take-out and delivery. I have never had a dine-in experience. Sometimes work gets pretty busy and sometimes you're just too lazy to pack a lunch; that's what take out and delivery is for. A co-worker asked if I wanted to place an order with him so he could meet the delivery quota for this place. Upon first glance, I was a bit disappointed that their regular plates come in combos with a drink, but none of the vegetarian options do. You have to pay a la carte for a drink. All in all, the portions are generous and a good value. I can only finish half of my hunan tofu and have to save the rest for later. I'll continue to order from here on occasion with co-workers, but doubt it's a place I'd venture to on my own for a sit down meal.

I live in South Seminole Heights and work in Westchase a few days a week. I drive by this little restaurant every time I go to and from work and have ALMOST stopped several times. I went to the gym after work last week and was driving home from Clearwater STARVING and finally gave in to my craving. This place is right next to Wing House and since the Stanley Cup finals were on I almost went there. However, I looooove sushi and really don't like sports/wing bars so decided I would have to miss the game. Lucky me!! There was a flat screen TV showing the game...with volume...behind the sushi bar! I was acknowledged in a friendly manner and offered to choose where I wanted to sit, which was nice since sometimes women alone at dinner time are assumed to be waiting for a man. I chose a seat at the sushi bar and made my choices. I got a triple roll (yellowtail, tuna, salmon), a philly roll (smoked salmon and cream cheese), ika (squid) sashimi, and unagi (eel) nigiri. I don't like cucumber so all items were ordered without and arrived as such...big happy face. For $20 I really enjoyed my food. Everything was fresh and tasty and the rolls were neatly made. The only thing was that the eel pieces kind of fell apart...but that's just because they were large pieces. The pair arrived hot and with plenty of eel sauce (just about my favorite thing). The restaurant is really tiny, about 6 seats at the sushi bar and maybe 10 tables indoors. There's a large outdoor covered patio with a fish pond and fountain. The restrooms are outside. The photos on the Yelp site really don't look like they were taken here. Although the seats at the bar and some of the shelving is the same, the colors and layout of the building don't match up with what I saw. I'm wondering if there's a 2nd location? The Chinese food other people were ordering looked and smelled good and from what they were saying it tasted good too. I look forward to going back with my boyfriend (who likes Chinese food but won't touch ANY seafood).

I order delivery sushi from here sometimes at work and it is delicious! I am a huge sushi fan and this restaurant does not disappoint. I love that they have the 2 and 3 sushi roll special. It's a great bang for your buck and you have a lot of options. Delivery is quick and they've always gotten the order right!

I had a very good experience with this place after sone initial hesitation. I ordered through Yelp the chicken fried rice, shrimp tempura and egg drop soup. The soup was bland but the rest was great! Pretty fast delivery too and reasonable price. I will definitely eat here again!

A restaurant blending Japanese and Chinese favorites. Perfect for keeping the wife happy with sushi, while I stick to General Tso and an egg roll. They have takeout, dine in and delivery. I have ordered takeout three times or so but never have taken advantage of dining in or delivery. Take out is fast and accurate and the people friendly. Prices are decent for both sushi and Chinese. In terms of food quality, sushi is fresh and I was impressed compared to other nearby places. The Chinese food reminds me of a typical NY takeout place, which isn't bad, but I would be curious what the dining in experience is like. I will need to check it out.

An hour and a half after ordering on-line thru their website we had no food... I called, they said they couldn't find the order and would call back. 5 minutes later I get a call telling me they have the order. We didn't want any part of their incompetence so we cancelled.

Huge selection with something for everyone! Great value for to go orders, but not so much for dine in. I usually get the 2 roll combo for $9 and pick the Triple roll that includes yellow tail tuna salmon cucumber and the rick roll which will never give you up or let you down lol and includes crab shrimp spicy mayo and cucumber. For those with bigger appetites, you can get a 3 roll combo for $13. For Chinese, I recommend the Kung pow chicken, szechuan shrimp, and sweet & sour shrimp for $5.75 which can't be beat for the price. My coworker complained that placing an order over the phone can be frustrating but we order online now and it's not so bad that way. We usually order to go. The actual restaurant leaves a little more to be desired. The tables were sticky, tables & chairs looked worn out, decor had traditional Japanese look but you can tell they went for the cheapest possible decorations. The patio looks onto the wing house parking lot which isn't the best view and seems old and run down. Service was average to on the slow side. I was missing traditional Japanese music to complete the experience. Instead they had the TV on Jerry Springer for the staffs enjoyment lol. Nothing like a white trash face off lol. I recommend this place for to go orders but definitely not for dine in.

Excellent service and fast delivery! I order here 2-3 times a week. The sushi is pretty great, always on point with my order, condiments and never had a complaint on anything I've ordered. Highly recommended if you're looking to stay in for the night and don't want to settle for pizza. Love this spot!

Three weeks ago i liked this place till today i had ordered beef and brocoli with pork fried rice and on the side of my plate was a roach i spit my food back out... when i noticed it i thought it a burned piece of brocoli or a piece of meat so i scooped it up n put it aside so when i did that i noticed the legs and the head i rushed back to the restaurant n the stupid lady there today took it as a joke and started to laugh she gave me my money back but im still going to call the health department on them i will be posting the pics of my plate with the roach sooo ppl do not eat here at all!!!!!!!!! They are disgusting and rude as hell

I haven't found good chinese food since i left NY, until I ate at Tokyo! The food is fresh and delicious! They also have a sushi bar, beer, wine and saki. The outside patio is spacious and nice to sit outside in the spring and eat! The employees were all super friendly. Definitely My go to spot for Chinese and sushi!

I've ordered from this restaurant multiple times. I've never been inside to dine or ever had to call them for any reason, so those areas I cannot comment on. The food delivered is always hot, which as you know can be hit or miss when it comes to delivery. Some of the food is pretty average flavor-wise but is authentic enough for "delivery" Chinese. I'm not big on sushi, but the vegetable rolls I did get were pretty good. The food always gets here fast and the workers were always very friendly. Some delivery advice though, if you do get the sushi as well as Chinese options, ask them to bag it separately, otherwise it'll get hot.. and hot sushi is a bad idea.

Great food! Prices are Okay too! I love the pork fried rice and I don't even normally like rice at all! I've only eaten the New York style stuff but will update one day when I get sushi. Bonus round - their computer system remembers your address and past orders so you can literally call them and say bring me what I had last time. Today I'll be enjoying some soup as I'm under the weather. :(

They closed early for the fight but didn't update their website to reflect that. Took my order and money then said they had closed the kitchen. So I'm out 30 bucks until they refund it. And that lady Icy was terribly rude. Won't ever call these people again. They acted like I inconvenienced them! Nothing worse than rude people.

Oh no. I'm sorry...they were friendly, but I would not recommend the food. I had a shrimp dish, the shrimp was fresh, but swimming in a congealed sauce...the sushi was inedible. It didn't smell right and I noticed the ginger was old. I had expected more from the reviews...but then again, not many choices in the area!

  • Denise S.

My favorite spot! Can't beat the food for the price. It's cheap and good. You can find something else just as cheap but it won't be good and you find something that tastes better but it won't be this cheap. Can't beat it for the money and the fact that they make Chinese and Japanese food is amazing for those who like sushi but dating Someone who likes Chinese, it is the perfect place! I have been going there for almost ten years now:)

1st impression - Ordered delivery one day from my work. They left out multiple items but obviously tried to make up for it with 'extra' ingredients...HAIR. No thanks. My first experience, obviously not good...but I usually assume it could be an off day and will give a place a second chance. Glad I did. I've ordered many times since and always been pleased. Delivery is super fast! And if you dine in I've always found the servers to be really friendly & responsive. I had the same server my first two times dining in (about 3 weeks apart) and she even remembered me, that I happened to choose the same table and what I ordered the first time!

The guy that picked up the phone who supposedly called himself the manager is the most rude and obnoxious person I have dealt with via phone. The people that own this restaurant need to fire him immediately cos he is giving them a bad reputation. Mr James or whatever you call yourself, u will not be working there for very long!

What a great place! Who knew? My daughter and I were in for dinner and got some take out for dad. The dining room is small but quaint and nicely decorated. There is a great outdoor deck with a really pretty baby koi pond. It was way too cold for outdoor dining tonight though. The service was impeccable and the food was yummy and beautifully presented. The menu is large but they show photos of everything which I loved. My daughter had a bento box combination which she liked although she was disappointed that it was not in a "box." I had the house udon soup and we got a dragon roll to share. Again all yummy! We brought home a Japanese deluxe combination with eel teriyaki for my husband. They seemed to be doing a pretty steady take out trade as well. We'll be back!

We were staying at the HIE Rocky Point. We didn't want to go out so we ordered Chinese. Pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and the price was right.

Update: I will no longer eat here. They got a 62 out of 100 on there last health inspection, that's the worst grade you can get! We order from here often and its pretty consistent as far as regular Chinese order out goes. Delivery is always very fast and our order is always correct. Never tried any of their sushi since I'm really picky with sushi.

"Where's the beef?" "Is this a menu or a book?" "Where are we?" These are just some of the utterings from my surrounding coworkers at today's lunch. The only thing impressive here was the menu. I guess it takes 25 pages to list all the foods Tokyo, Japan, and China have. Seriously, I'm canceling my weight lifting session this evening. Don't be fooled, the waitress knows her stuff. Unfortunately, my coworkers wouldn't let me test all of her abilities, but she did know all the menu items we ordered by number only. Impressive, very impressive. Small place located right off of Hillsborough Ave. in Town N' Country. - Kung Pao Chicken: wow, I've never seen so many nuts. Tons of veggies, but not nearly enough chicken. Wasn't that spicy at all. I like fire!!!!! - Pork Fried Rice: pretty decent. A tad dry, but good flavor. - Egg roll: again, not that impressive. Just OK. My coworkers liked their meals but all in all we were just happy to not be hungry.

This place is Ok. I'm not sure if it's any better than that. The menu is huge, and it gave me hope that it would be good. (Know how a menu can talk you into a meal?) My husband doesn't really like sushi, but I love it, so I thought there would be something for both of us. We ordered the spicy chicken stirfry, broccoli with oyster sauce, some potstickers, and from the Japanese side, a few rolls - Mexican, Spicy tuna, and Dragon roll. The sushi was good, but uninspired. I happily ate it, but it didn't blow me away (I've had WAY better sushi at Soho Sushi, Kaisen Sushi and Sushi Alive). The Chinese food wasn't any better - the stirfrys were too sweet and overly-sauced. The exterior of the restaurant isn't pretty - it's in a dingy parking lot between a McDonalds and Kerr's Wing House. The interior is alright, although we ordered take-out. The staff seems friendly enough. I've been on the hunt for good Chinese take-out in the area since China Jada closed a few years ago. I'm going to have to keep looking.

Haven't dined in the restaurant, but we like their takeout. Delivery is convenient, especially since you can order online. They have a really wide variety of Chinese and Japanese fare, and great combos at good prices. My new favorite thing is their Japanese deluxe combo---a meat (chicken teriyaki), white rice, sushi roll, miso soup, ginger salad, and tempura veggies and shrimp for $14.00. Great value!

I'm a huge fan of take out Chinese, it may not be very authentic, but it sure it tasty. Tokyo is one of the best. There is also a great upside in that they deliver in the Town and Country area. And on top of that, they also offer a great selection of sushi. The food has always been extremely tasty and they have all of the staples. Hot and sour soup, egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour, its all here and you can pretty much guarantee that you will find something for everyone. The sushi selection is also great, with all of the sushi staples, plus a few specialty rolls. The delivery service is fast, and ordering can all be done online. I've never had a problem with any orders. The pricing is extremely good, and $20 dollars will get you more then enough food for two people. I love ordering from this restaurant, and I highly recommend that if you are in the Town and Country area, put this on your delivery list.

Fastest delivery ever! I ordered my food, went downstairs long enough to have a glass of wine and when I came back to my room they were already there with my good. The good was excellent and at a great price. I highly recommend this place!!!

The food here is great and at a great value. The look may not be 5 stars but the food is. Try the chicken and broccoli, it's the closest to New York Chinese I've had in Tampa.

Found out about this place from a coworker. The food is GREAT and they offer $4.99 lunch specials! Even with a 20 percent tip and tax your looking at a meal for less than $7.00..and enough to take home fore dinner. The lunch special comes with your choice of rice (pork or white), main dish, choice of soup or an egg roll and a soft drink. Since finding out about this place I stopped packing my lunch and started ordering out!

We live nearby and love their fast delivery and incredible sushi. The people on the phone are always so nice. I am so glad we found this place. We have ordered about 6 times and it has been very consistent and very delicious. I recommend this place to all who enjoy sushi.

Can't say I would rush back as the ambiance wasn't exactly four star or higher. I'm not saying if I'm in the area and craving some sushi I wouldn't stop again. So prepare yourself for a slightly beaten up space but with pleasant help and ok food.

It's definitely a solid place if you're in the area and need cheap delivery. Everything we ate was decently good, the delivery was quick, and the prices were great. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, but the food is reliably decent and you can't beat it for the price. The egg drop soup with wontons was pretty good. The texture was a little odd, but the flavor was definitely there. The curry shrimp fried rice was very tasty. It was probably my favorite thing that we got, and there was a lot more shrimp than I was expecting for how little we paid. The sesame chicken was okay. I'm not a fan of the type they have (breaded chicken in red sauce), but that's my fault for not asking. The crispy wontons we got on the side were yummy. My boyfriend says that the chicken wings were pretty good. Not something to write home about, but way better than McDonalds or any other fast food. Food was about a 3, price was a 5, so I'm giving it a 4.

I've only experienced their delivery and most of the drivers are great but the rolls I get are not tightly rolled. Also, the management staff is VERY MEAN on the phone...they huff and puff if you place multiple orders. There were 2 instances where I called back (2 mins after i originally called) to add an order or side and the woman gave such a dramatic sigh and said, "finnnnnnne!" and instantly hung up!! They' think they're the best but their food is garbage. Unfortunately, I'll still order there from time to time because my coworkers love the convenience.

A very unexpected surprise! Tokyo has really impressed me. I must admit I really wasn't expecting much when I first pulled in to their parking lot. I was a bit hesitant when ordering sushi, but to my surprise it was delicious, the service was great, and my overall experience was fantastic. This place truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
