Tried Ploy Thai today for the first time, even though I've gotten a thai iced tea to go a few times before from here. This is located right down the street from my house since I live in Cross Creek. So perfect location and the price is perfect for lunch. =) I got the Pad Thai Hot and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Green Curry Thai Hot and it was so good but so hot! (which he loved) My sister ordered pork fried rice and she loved that too! I loved how they give you appetizers with an order of your entree. We got a small soup and these little fried wontons which were so good. Then after lunch they gave bite sized fried banana bites. Cute and yum as well! We will definitely be back to eat here since the prices are great as well as the portion size too. The food was DELICIOUS and the restaurant itself is Gorgeous!! Very friendly people who work here too. Come check it out and eat here, I know you'll love it!

Really an enjoyable spot. Not crowded lunchtime, excellent service and the food is great, and good serving sizes for the price. The tom kha gai (chicken coconut soup) is superb, probably the best i've had anywhere. In eating there for lunch maybe 6 times over the last few months we have yet to find any meal that was disappointing.

Excellent Thai food. Have been here several times and the service had always been friendly. They also participate on meal cab as well. start off with the thai spring rolls and peanut sauce, it is great!! then i go with the panang chicken curry with a medium spice and it is very well done. I wish they served slightly larger rice sidedish with it though. Then of course you must finish with the thai donuts. No matter how full I am, I always make room for the donuts!

Spent almost 30 minutes driving to Saffron in rush hour traffic up construction-ruined Bruce B Downs, only to find they were closed on Monday. What an amateur mistake! But making lemonade out of lemons I decided to try Ploythai. Very good food and service! I'll probably not venture up BBD again til its finished but then I'll make a run up to try Ploythai again and to try Saffron!

The location can be easily missed. It is in the corner where the gas station with the Domino's is located. The food is typical Thai fare but the prices here is good. Thai food tends to expensive but here the lunch specials are great value.

Wonderful food and excellent service. Ploy Thai is tucked away in Cross Creek and it is a gem of a find. The serene atmosphere of the restaurant provides a wonderful escape from the rest of the world. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and very hospitable. The meal portions are generous and priced accordingly. Not the most cost-effective dining choice, but by no means is the menu over-priced, either. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! Love this place and love that it is so close to home. Green Chicken Curry- some of THE best that I have ever had. The dish has just the right amount of balance with the heat and the coconut milk. I ended up eating more of the dish than I normally do and that says a lot for me- because I was beyond over full :0) My husband had the basil fried rice with steak and shrimp (a minor up charge for the additional meat) and what we found with his dish was that both the steak and the shrimp were so-so. The steak was low quality and chewy, and the shrimp was either over cooked- or frozen and then just thrown in to cook because the consistency and taste was just, well bad. We also ordered two Tom Yum shrimp soups and those were excellent. We have tried Tom Yum at several places and coming across a good version of this soup has proven to be challenging.

Came here for some Thai food with a wonderful friend. First impression was that I liked the decor with the water fountain/garden in the middle, and the interesting Thai decor and statues. We had fried tofu, shrimp pineapple curry, and chicken panang curry. The two curries tasted the same except for the pineapple in mine. There's a nice kick of heat in the mild, so we were happy that we got just that Server here was just okay. Don't ask questions because they aren't ones to speak too much English. I asked about how many shrimp would be in my pineapple curry and how big. They didn't really answer my question. There are about 4 quarter sized shrimps in my dinner serving. There was barely any chicken in the panang curry either. It was mostly veggies. Most of what we got was veggies & sauce, so we should have just ordered it as a veggie entree. For the reason of the considerably lacking balance of protein to veggie to rice, I give this place two stars. On their tables, there's a sign for customers to get 10% off for their bill. Interesting, and it makes sense now.

I don't write reviews that often, but when I do, it's either for a place you should avoid, or a place you should frequent. Alas, the rating has already stole my thunder, so you know which way this review is going. I love Thai food. I've been a Thai aficionado for over 20 years, so I've eaten at a variety of Thai restaurants across the country, from California to NJ, but mostly across Florida. This place is located in a gas station strip mall, along with several other restaurants, which does not give the best vibe, but as soon as you walk thru the door, it changes quick. I scanned the place, Thai Buddhas, check. Thai shrine, check. Thai lady servers, check. Quick look at the menu, papaya salad, check. Ok, I'm in. I have two dishes by which I judge every Thai restaurant. Tom Kha Gai soup and Pad Thai. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai with our drink order, and was pleasantly surprised they had ginger tea. I failed to mention I've been nursing a head cold, so I was looking forward to the therapeutic effects of these two items. The soup was good, had a nice hint of lime with a slight touch of spice. What it did not have, at least to my taste buds, was coconut. I called the server over and asked if this was Tom Kha or Tom Yum, and she said it was Tom Kha. The lack of coconut milk / cream was made up by the overall balance of the soup. My sinuses felt better after I couple of sips. I ordered the Roast Duck Noodle Soup, which is not one of my normal "go to" Thai items, but again, I'm nursing a head cold and soup sounds awesome right now. And, what the hell, let's throw in an order of Pad Thai, not because I'm hungry, but because I want to do a full-on appraisal of this place. Dad ordered the Amazing Duck, which was essential a Thai style sweet and sour crispy duck dish with a good amount of veggies. The soup was basically a Duck Pho, and it was one of the best Pho dishes I've ever had (I love Vietnamese food as well. I also love putting side note in parentheses, but I digress.) Dad's Amazing Duck, which I had a taste, was a dish worth noting. And the Pad Thai? Let's talk Pad Thai for a quick moment. Either it's on the sweet side, appealing to American tastes, or it's on the sour side. This Pad Thai was a very nice balance, with just a hint of sweetness mixed in with the lime and peanut. Oh, and instead of choosing, it comes mixed with chicken and shrimp, a nice touch. You'll most likely see a bunch of newer reviews on this place, because they are offering 10% off your meal if you write up a review and show them before your check comes to the table. Excellent marketing. Now, did I partake of this discount? Yes, and I've come home to flush out the review. Why? Because this is one of the more authentic Thai restaurants I've been to, the food was excellent, service was good, and the place was empty. That make my heart a bit empty, because I *know* Bonefish up the road is packed every single night, and this place deserves the same. So, if you're in the area, and you're wanting really good Thai food (they have Chinese style dishes as well), please give them your patronage. Don't expect over-the-top Americanized service. The ladies do the best they can, in a friendly manner. I think you'll enjoy the experience.

The only Thai restaurant I go to in Tampa. I live the friendly and courteous staff here...especially Mr. Kevin! They are always on point with their service and the food and service are consistently outstanding. I've been coming here since I've moved here and will continue to do so until I leave. Very clean and beautiful ambiance. The curries are so yummy and I especially love their Som Tum and pineapple fried rice. The only thing I didn't like is their sticky rice with mango. ...ordered a few times...and unfortunately, it was not a winner...sticky rice is supposed to melt in your mouth alongside the coconut milk dressing. All and all, I still come here frequently, as it is close and for all the reasons I had mentioned above.

Thai Lanna is our go to place for Thai food. We three pass three Thai restaurants on the way here and it's worth the trip. My wife is in love with the curry fried rice and I'm a big fan of the Panang curry shrimp. The food here is always fresh, the vegetables are crisp and the atmosphere is outstanding. If you want great so I food you can't do better than Thai Lanna!

Take out review: We really liked the food. Pretty good portions (could have been slightly bigger though). We had the pineapple curry, sweet and sour curry, ginger tofu and red curry. They were all pretty good. The pineapple curry and red curry were our favorites. I wish the ginger tofu was more gingery. We also got the mango sticky rice which was served in a generous portion and was delicious. Ask for extra coconuit sauce! Overall, prices were fair and food was good!

  • Rowena L.

Just okay. The noodles I got were super salty, which made it pretty difficult to eat. I was downing water the whole time. My friends' dishes were good though. That said, love the decor here.

5-stars for the red curry. I have no complaints. Food was fresh and delicious! My friend ordered a fish dish and really enjoyed it too. I can't wait to take the hubby here and see about the pad-thai!

My dad, step mother and girlfriend ate here for dinner. Our server was very sweet and did a great job clearing our table in a quick fashion. We had the Seafood Volcano, Pad Thai, Black Pepper Pork, and the Volcano sushi roll. All of our food was great! Dad raved about his dish, and my step mom really loved her Volcano Seafood, along with the Chardonnay. My Pad Thai was disappointing, lacking flavor, but the sushi was much better. This place is great! Come here with friends or your family.

We had the fried red snapper and veggies and brown rice and ginger sauce with peppers.. Unfortunately, the red snapper was over cooked and dried out. We were disappointed. However, brown rice was cooked to perfection and the ginger sauce was good and helped soften the cooked red snapper. Despite the red snapper let down, we still had a nice waiter and dining experience. Lastly, they give you a 10% discount if you write a YELP review. Cha Ching! :)

Great food, but a little bit long waiting time...like the red curry. The atmospheres is very Asian style.

  • Nattie L.

Had the tornado shrimp and my bf had the pad thai, everything came out fresh and fast. The shrimp on my dish tasted as it was grilled and was full of a wonderful smokey flavor mixed with the subtlety of the green curry. I don't even like green beans and I ate most of the ones served on this dish. The servers were all very helpful and checked on us frequently. The fried ice cream was awesome. Love the decor and the environment as well :) Will happily be returning soon!

Surprisingly vast menu. Lots of options. Fresh sushi and great customer service. The restaurant itself is small, due to its location in a plaza, but it is nicely appointed and always clean.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the Tampa Bay Area! Great food, atmosphere and service! We always get the duck noodle soup and pineapple curry. Yum! Worth the trip, would recommend to anyone :)

Miso soup is great and my husband raved about his entree (can't remember what it was, sorry). Service was perfect and atmosphere was casual and quite.

I just have to say Wow!! This is the best Thai restaurant I have been in! I lived in Miami and never have I ever had Thai food as good as this one. Authentic, delicious and the price is perfect!!. Will be coming back and will recommend this delicious restaurant to all my friends! Excellent spot to celebrate Mother's Day or any other special occasion!

Having visited the restaurant and enjoyed our meal there, we decided to order a quick take out. We ordered pineapple cashew fired rice and a Thai tea. Upon arriving home, we found that we just got fried rice. We promptly called the restaurant only to be told that they were sorry and next time we order it we will be given extra cashews and pineapples. We asked them how they would verify this and they said they wrote our name down. We ended up cooking pineapple and cashews ourselves and adding it to the rice. Poor customer service. Will not return.

I love this place! Great environment and sometimes interesting renditions of the normal Thai you would find elsewhere. Staff is friendly and kind. I try to bring as many special people from my life here because of the atmosphere. Overall great experience.

I had been wanting to try this place for months and recently stopped by for some take-out chicken pad thai. The portions are generous, the price is about average and the service is friendly! I also like the interior decor... hip enough for a fun lunch but cozy enough for a romantic date as well. That being said, I guess I came on a bad day. I called on the way there in an attempt to order ahead... yet the phone number was disconnected. Once at the restaurant, I attempted to pay with a debit card (cards accepted) but the card machine was down. So I had to walk across the street to the ATM machine at the gas station, pay an extra $2.50 fee to get some cash, and then come back and pay. Did I mention I was carrying around a baby the whole time? In the future, if I have to jump through hoops just because your equipment is broken, I will probably go somewhere else.

There are only a few restaurants that I go to again and again. Thai Lana is one our family visits at least once a week. The care and attention they give to their food and to each of their customers is rare these days. Besides the excellent food fresh flowers on all the tables, gorgeous hand carved vegetable garnishes, and top notch friendly service is something you can expect every time you walk through the door.

Eat here every time we visit Tampa and crave Thai food; definitely the best sushi and curry dishes in the area. I love the fresh rolls with peanut sauce and the sushi is always yummy!!!

Excellent food, service and environment. They prepare everything fresh. New ginger dressing is delicious. Try the coconut cake if you have any room. Portions are generous and the waitress's are very gracious and service oriented.

This restaurant is an unexpected gem. The presentation of both the food and drink were exceptional. The service was awesome as well. We never ran out of water or had to wait for a server to come over. I got the pineapple curry, which was delicious. I highly recommend their Thai tea as well- it comes with a design in the straw! I will be visiting this place again next time I come to Tampa!

The food here was good. The waiter was nice. Maybe a few extra hot spices and a more hot plate of food would be nice. But overall, I enjoyed this place.

    (3)
  • Rizwan A.

Overpriced with poor service and a very significant language barrier meats bland and sloppy presentation for easily forgotten tastes. Very few good things to say about this place. The decor is nice. The water was cold. The End. Apparently you cannot make a substitution without being charged. I ordered the Volcano Something dish that also came with mussels and asked if instead of mussels we could have more shrimp. "Yes but it's 2 dollars extra." That makes no sense, sorry. There's shrimp, calamari, and scallops, but you can't add more of those for free if we're not ordering mussels with it? Okay whatever, not a big deal but I've never had to deal with that anywhere else, except maybe mcdonalds. Green Curry- very, very bland and without any spice. Very few pieces of chicken. Crispy Noodle dish- worthless. It's basically a cup of noodle dish and smells, looks, and tastes like one too. Another shrimp dish- jumbo shrimp- of which there were 4 for 15 dollars. Not worth it at all. If you don't eat Thai food often and are stuck to this area only I can see how you may mistakenly think this is "the best Thai food." Please wake up.

I've been meeting a friend for lunch here about once a week for the past month, and the food is always pretty solid. I've had the pad thai a few times and I enjoyed it. My friend gets the curried fried rice every time and loves it. I just tried the sushi today and it was decent as well. The service is usually consistently good - fast and friendly. The food comes out fast as well, and they are accommodating with reasonable substitutions. Of course there is an up charge if you substitute beef for chicken, but I think that is fair. If you like bold flavors and the combination of sweet, sour, and mildly spicy, try the chicken in cream of coconut soup, it's delicious and filling because it has so much flavor.

THIS PLACE OFFERS A DISCOUNT TO PEOPLE WHO WRITE REVIEWS. Additionally, they make you show them what you wrote, so therefore I'm sure most people are biased in what they write. Therefore, I do not think that their rating is very accurate on here or other places on the internet. To be fair, I would give them 3 stars but because I don't think this place is being too honest with this practice, I'm giving them two stars. My boyfriend and I decided to drive here because of the great reviews but now I understand why they have such a high rating. The services is a little slow, their sushi choices are definitely not great at all. I ordered chicken pad thai and it wasn't anything special. Overall- nothing great but not bad.

I have been to Thai Lanna many times & both the food & service have always been great! They are very accommodating with substitutions & the staff is very friendly :-) I have tried most of their Thai & sushi menu - it's always been fresh & tasty all the way! LOVE this place & can't say enough good things about it! If you love Thai food, you will love this neighborhood gem!

Great Thai restaurant. I have been here many times and the food is consistently good. The atmosphere is very calming and tranquil, the service is very good too, prices are fair. As for the food; very tasty and pretty. I have tried many Thai restaurants in tampa and this by far is the most authentic. We had the cucumber salad served in a martini glass, pineapple fried rice served with huge shrimp!, amazing chicken in a peanut sauce and beef pad Sui. All great!

As usual the food is great. My wife is a vegetarian, and always finds something that's good.

  • Radhika A.

My love for Thai fried rice has no end. Their fried rice is good and they give a decent amount (esp considering how in the past ten years the amount of rice any restaurant gives anymore has decreased by almost 50% for the same price). The ambience of the place is very nice.

    (4)
  • Nikki L.

The service here is excellent and the food is even better. They even have a nice sushi selection. My favorite on the menu is the Pad Thai with tofu and a Thai iced tea!

    (5)
  • Sandra B.

Not the best, but I would come back. I love Thai food. I need to come back and try the Pad Thai and Masaman Curry. + Food: Panang curry with beef. Met my expectations. - Portions: Other Thai restaurants give more than you can finish. Not too impressed. + Price: Standard. + Atmosphere: We got to sit next to a beautiful water "river" setup. Fairly quiet and calm. Although I was here with a friend, I'd say it's a good dinner date spot too. + Service: Great. Very attentive. + Recommendation: Yes! Good for dates or small groups.

This is a great little restaurant with authentic Thai food. The sushi is also very good. I got the grilled chicken which was served over vegetables with plum and sweet chili dipping sauce. A little on the pricy side for sushi but the service and quality help

I'm a very picky eater and don't like to try much that's new, but so far every single thing I've had here is excellent!!! My favorite is the fried rice with chicken. There's so much it's enough for 2 meals, and I always intend on bringing some home, but it never happens. I wind up eating the whole thing because it's so delicious. LOL. The service is wonderful as well. Wonderful restaurant!

Ordered the fresh rolls, red curry, spicy noodles and finished off with mango and sticky rice. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. First time in a long time did I try squid! We ordered it with the spicy noodles. Was tender and cooked well with a mild flavor. Service was great. Definitely recommend, a nice spot in New a Tampa.

Good food but HORRIBLE SERVICE! Not only were we ignored in an empty restaurant but we were charged 18% gratuity for a party of five when the menu clearly said parties of six or more!!! When we disputed the bill and got ignored again! Terrible!

  • Kimberley A.

Good food. We got the crispy duck signature and the red snapper.

  • Kim Q.

Good sushi and good thai food. Been here twice: had sushi the first time and massaman curry with tofu the second. Very delicious both times. Their sushi is very pretty. The wait staff is nice and so is the decor. Although the place did smell like gasoline but we got over it quickly. They brought my food out about 10 minutes before my friends' so that was kind of awkward and annoying but overall had a good meal. It's definitely going to be my go to sushi place in New Tampa.

You would never know from the parking lot that walking inside you is like being transported to Thailand. Really enticing decor. Everything is so good - the service, the food! I love to go for lunch. The soup is light and comforting. They add these little touches, rice in the shape of hearts, tiny carved lemon peel on tea glass - and the food is so delicious. Just the right size portions. I love to eat here and when I can't then I love to order by phone to pick up. Very consistent. Never had a bad meal here and I've eaten here about twenty times.

I've been here a few times and can honestly say that this is the best Thai around. Great service and the food is amazing.

Ordered take out from here a handful of times! I am vegetarian and they always accommodate my requests! I usually get their fresh rolls, and they are always stuffed to the max with crispy and fresh veggies! The peanut dipping sauce is great. I refer my friends here all the time if they are looking to try something different. So glad this restaurant is within 1 mile of my residence! Looking forward to trying some other things on their menu!

  • Stacy J.

Always a great meal and experience. Pad thai is the best we have come across in the Tampa bay area. Service, decor is top notch. Try the crab w/ curry rangoon to start and if you can find room EVERY dessert is scrumptious.

    (5)
  • Joel H.

Decent Thai right around the corner. Love the cashew nut and pad thai dishes. With the new introduction of sushi a nice little change of pace. Gave the sweet potato a whirl and I liked it. Not a fan of the free dessert they bring out at the end but...its free!

  • Daniel W.

I had a great time at Thai Lanna and Sushi. It was very delicious! I had a four course meal which is way more than I normally eat only on account of how amazingly delicious it was. Fried Gyoza, Sake, "White Boy" Roll, and spicy Lanna Chicken. Very satisfied, and very full!

    (5)
  • Melissa M.

The food here is good, but not what I expected based on other reviews. It seemed like "watered down" Thai. Not very spicy. Lacked flavor. I love beef basil and ordered it for myself. It should have a bit of heat and the menu even shows a little pepper next to the dish. Flatline. Very disappointed. I ordered sweet and sour chicken for the kids and it was OVERLY sweet. However, Hubby had sushi and really enjoyed it and the service was great. Also very pretty, ornate interior. I would come back if I were in the mood for something a little different but sadly this restaurant won't make the list of frequent haunts.

Came in with family who came out of town and they said this is the best thai they had so far. I am glad we only live a few mile away. Check it out. It's definitely worth it.

This was our first time here. Appetizers and server were excellent. We both chose seafood dishes for entrees and were left disheartened. I had only 3 scallops in my seafood volcano and I believe they came from a bad batch as one especially did not taste good. We did bring it to our server's attention to notify the chef. The chef sent his apologies and gave us a free piece of cake. If we do come back, it will only be for the appetizers.

  • Kimberly M.

Ploy Thai was surprisingly delicious. I didn't have high expectations going in. I had about 5 minutes to pick a place to meet up with family and it was my best option at the moment. The Rama Garden was probably my favorite dish. Creamy peanut butter sauce of broccoli and chicken, followed by the Red Curry, and then Pad Thai. The calamari was delicious, but too pricey for the four pieces of calamari that you get. Overall, menu items are priced $2-$3 higher than the average Thai restaurant, but I felt like the quality was worth it. The restaurant was very clean and the traditional decor helped set the mood. They lost a full star in my review for service. The staff could definitely be more attentive. I had to get out of my seat and go get help twice during the dinner, and it took too long to get our check. Otherwise its a nice local restaurant, and I would return if I lived nearby.

  • Michael A.

The food is excellent. The menu prices are inexpensive (I was here at lunch.) The atmosphere decorations are nice and appropriate. The staff has always been very attentive and courteous. I've been to this place a hand full of times, and the staff, atmosphere, and food quality (Pad Thai) was always excellent. Bottom line: This is a an excellent restaurant, and I do recommend it. I've been to MANY Thai restaurants in the Tampa, St Pete, and Clearwater areas, and this one is "one of the best" ones overall. This restaurant doesn't seem to have the common problems that I've seen the others have, mainly really bad service or so so food.

Amazing food and excellent service, try to make it there a couple times a month and try something different every time. They have the best Thai Tea and Tom Kha Gai (chicken in coconut broth) soup.

we've been coming here for sit-down and take out for years, as it has changed names and ownership three or four times. we have to say it is the best it has ever been now and we pick up dinner on the way home at least once a week, it's so good. we especially like the pad Thai, Tom yum goong soup and the crab Rangoon with curry cream cheese is the best in town! give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Fast service and awesome food! We met some friends and tried both the rolls and dinner platters!

Really beautiful place. Definitely great for a date. Food was excellent. Ordered fried calamari and spring rolls as appetizers. The calamari was fried in a light crispy batter and wonderfully cooked. The doing sauce was this amazing sweet chili sauce that went very well with the calamari and if it wasn't home made I would love to know where I could buy it. The spring rolls were fine although they didn't really hold a candle to the meal to come. For my entree I ordered basil pork and my father ordered a soup (not sure the name pic d) and curried noodles with squid. My father loved the soup and his noodles although he did wish there was more squid. The basil pork arrived with a side of rice and it smelled amazing. The flavor had a savory depth of basil onions and peppers with the richness.

It's OK but ultimatly the food was bland, needs more seasoning and flavor. * A+ to F- Scale A+=Excellent,C=Standard,F- =Repulsive My opinion (Would not denigrate another person's hard work, food industry is hardest.), Quality: C-, ingredient's in Lana roll were little better than expected, curry puffs were low quality almost zero flavor. Salad was cheap iceberg lettuce with carrot shreddings, poorly matched peanut sauce, much more spices needed. Uniqueness: My first Thai restaurant. Convenience: C,Hours should be extended to 11:00 p.m. Service: C-, No utensils or napkins with my take away food.Difficult to understand servers elaborate menu options though they spoke English,I need to know what I am eating. Ambience: A,impressed well done. Presentation:B,I do enjoy eye appeal with my meal, makes food some how more pleasurable. Quantity: C,Plenty of menu options, sampler option would be popular, descriptions need to be present on all menu options and susinct. Price: D+, $4.50 for 1 standard 12oz bottle is not toleratable even if it is foreign beer.

Used to love this place but not anymore. Not enough meat on the entrees and they gave me the wrong food entree. :(

I've been to this place a few times. Dine in and take out. It's one of the better Thai places in the area. They have much better deals for lunch than dinners.

This is our go to Thai restaurant and they never disappoint. All of the curry dishes are excellent but my favorites are the Panang curry and the massuman curry. They are so rich and flavorful. The pad Thai is also really tasty and they always have interesting specials to try. The peanut sauce is awesome too. Not runny like some other Thai places in the area. The crab Rangoon has a Thai twist and contains some curry that makes it so so so good! They recently changed their name to Lanna Thai but the food has not changed thank you jebus!

This restaurant never disappoints and in fact continues to impress. Our favorites are the spicy shrimp noodles, Tom kah gai soup, Thai fried rice, yellow curry, steamed dumplings with garlic sauce, and curry wontons. The sushi is great also. Bonus: you get 10% off for writing a review as I am right now. Win win because I love this place. Has nice decor and ambiance too. Parking can be a bitch.

Excellent tamarind duck, possibly best duck in Tampa at a good price. My wife loves the red curry and we have not found a dish we did not like.

He said: Some of the kids didn't really know about Thai, but they were game and tried it. They all liked the food. Curry great. We sat next to the little fountain water thing and that was pleasant. Service quick. She said: I ordered the Pad Thai, but ended up stealing my husband's curry! The food was simply delicious! Ended the meal with the banana dessert. Have it! You need to try it!!! Yum!!!

Best place in the New Tampa area. Fantastic servers and amazing food. What a deal! Lunch is tremendous and just a little more than a meal deal at a fast food place (even though the food is soooo much better). I would recommend this to anyone. No matter your tastes, you can find something delicious here.

Been coming here for years, and continue to come frequently- best Thai my husband & I have ever had! The flavors are exciting and diverse, but completely authentic... No cheap "Americanized" Asian here! All dishes are delicious & the plating is a thing of beauty, but my consistent favorite is the spicy basil fried rice with shrimp; also highly recommend the volcano duck or Panang curry. All of this in a relaxing, upscale atmosphere you'll never believe is in a tiny plaza in New Tampa. You just cannot go wrong with this place. RUN - don't walk - to get your meal here!

Thailanna is a staple in the community. I've enjoyed every meal here thus far. I look forward to dinners to come.

Cost $16 for panang seafood for take out lunch on sat. Isn't usually below $10?

I love Ploy Thai in Brandon and the one on Cross Creek did not disappoint me. The Thai Tea had it's usual good taste and my usual Chicken Pad Thai was delicious, I devoured it and enjoyed every bite! It was my friends birthday and they handled the table very well and were quick to bring drinks and food was cooked quickly and served nice and hot. Ploy Thai rocks.

Pad Thai is so delicious. And the price is so cheap. The seafood noodle is served very enough and yummy

Blows away the other New Tampa Thai restaurants in cleanliness, decor and food quality. Very fresh, spiced to taste traditional Thai food with excellent spice tray from which you can add enough heat to blow smoke out your ears, if you desire. We are especially fond of the chicken with peanut sauce and several of the red curry dishes. The owner and her husband do all of the cooking, and come out to make sure the customers are happy. Servers are very courteous and efficient.
