This is possibly the freshest Chinese food I've ever had. It's so so good. The only downside is that they don't do delivery, but it's worth going to pick it up there.

Since we moved to south tampa this has been our go to Chinese dive. We have never gone here & not been satisfied. We have tried the chicken & broccoli, General tso, chicken lo mein, krab Rangoon, steam dumplings, and donuts. We are creatures of habit so we usually always get the same thing. This place always serves fresh, hot, & best of all...LARGE portions! you definitely get your money worth! The only reason why it gets 4 stars is because the appearance of the place isen't that great. It does no justice to the quality of the food. Motto: don't judge a book by it's cover!

As far as fast food Chinese is concerned, this is another solid location. The lo mein actually has a lot of flavor and the Orange chicken was killer. It's a good choice for any Chinese food lover working on the base. There isn't a better one in that part of town.

The place is a small dive but it is a gem. The workers are pleasant and the food tastes fresh.

Been eating here for nearly seven years now. Food is affordable, and very high quality. The place itself is a bit of a dive, but well worth it, friendly staff. Love the General Tso's chicken, shrimp lo mein, and pretty much any appetizer.

I ordered takeout and they forgot my egg roll (since I won't be coming back here again, I'll never get it). The chicken was rubbery, the shrimp in lobster sauce was shrimp in imitation lobster and there were only 6 shrimp included. The chicken egg foo young itself was ok but the sauce was greasy and lacking flavor. Shang Hai Takeout is the only place I'll go from now on.

As far as Chinese takeout in South Tampa, this is the best! My orders are always ready fast whether I'm picking it up or it's being delivered. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes my order is messed up. Their service and food definitely makes up for it! As an added bonus, they offer my favourite item, the General Tao's shrimp. I have yet to see another take away place have it on their menu.

We've been ordering from here for a few years now, always speedy delivery. Food tastes awesome every time, good variety on the menu and the prices cannot be beat. Taste of China is my go to place to order in. Try the general Tso's chicken or mongolian beef-YUM!

Consistently good takeout. They put the order together fast. Their chicken wings app is awesome, decent bourbon chic too.

My husband and I just moved here and needed a Chinese delivery restaurant and have not been disappointed! Fairly quick delivery and the food is always steaming hot when it arrives. Chicken fried rice, shrimp lo mein, and crab Rangoon is always on point.

Honestly, I don't know if maybe I'm not getting it but it taste like every other chinese food I've ever had. I mean, same thing just a different restaurant name. I don't know if all of these places use the same food distributor when buying their frozen egg rolls but I felt like I was back home in Indiana at a place I used to go to in High school before soccer games It's not bad, it's just to good. It's just like what you get any other chinese place. It even looked like the place I used to eat at in high school... The only high not were the crab rangoons, I mean they were just above average. Not much to say honestly, if you're intoxicated on anything this stuff would be awesome though.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
