This place was amazing! Went to see Trainwreck since it was right down the street and was super surprised that it was only $7 on a Saturday night!!! I was expecting absolutely nothing at that price but when we walked in they have a bar you can chill at before going into the theatre. The inside is very outdated but I think they adds to tech ambiance of the place. Once the theater doors open I was surprised that it isn't actually theater seats but dining room table set up. It was definitely something I'd never seen but was very exciting that something this unique was right down the road from where I live! Our waitress was very attentive and quick (we only drank, didn't eat so can't comment on the food). A pitcher of bud light was only $10, how can you beat that!!! Only downside I would say is the acoustics aren't great and if you go, sit towards the front. The kitchen and bar are at the back so if your back there you'll have distractions throughout the movie.

I popped on up to TPS to catch a showing of RHPS. I have heard tales of their shadow cast and wanted to see for myself, as 2 of my friends are in it. I was not dissappointed. Not in the show and not in the venue. I will say that our table seemed to be the only one that didn't get service for the longest while, but I understand, we had a table in front of us with a horde of annoying birthday celebrants, and a table to the left filled with a tonne of folks. No harm, no foul. The cast was good, the show was fun and I made new friends too! Bonus!

Super cute place- I wish they had more of these open in the area, but maybe I'm ignorant of other places like this. I only know of the Corey Theatre near St. Pete Beach that hosts the Rocky Horror PIcture Show and they do that here as well. We went here on a triple date after purchasing tickets from Groupon. The comedy show was the improve troupe called Post Dinner Conversation and they were amazing! The food was great as well- next time, I'd like to try their other options. I hope to return soon!

Venue was good for the he'll cats burlesque show, however the waitress staff was not good half of. Our table got there order wrong while some of us waited 1 her 20 mons for fries that were delivered to us cold, then when sent back it seemed like they put them in the oven and we're burnt and disgusting save your money and don't spend it here

What a weird little place. Since I enjoy watching movies in odd locations (See: Fun Lan Drive In), I knew Tampa Pitcher Show would be right up my alley. The chairs aren't comfortable and the theater could use a major facelift, but this is a fun place to come if you want to try something different than the standard AMC or Muvico experience. Total side rant, but can we talk about how Carrollwood plazas love to cram places into weird nooks and back alleys? It's like someone built 300 shopping plazas on top of one another in this part of town. I'm always amazed at how things in this area have gone completely unnoticed by me no matter how often I've driven by since they're tucked within a labryinth-like plaza (Tampa Pitcher Show was one of these places for me).

ROCKY HORROR Visiting from CA and went with husband & sisters for the Halloween show. I'm a fan of the movie but never been to a live show but have heard enough about it to know what to expect. In the beginning it was kitchy but after the first few prop moments passed, it became so chaotic that I felt like I was in the middle of a screaming match between the die hards competing with each other for the Most Obnoxious Fan award. Is it really necessary to scream incoherently over the performers and movie to the point where it just isn't fun anymore? Well, except for the people screaming apparently, a little restraint would go a long way. Cheap Little Punks did a really fine job shadowing the movie but I would have enjoyed it more if I could have heard them. The venue was interesting, weird strip mall location. Cheap eats, the wait staff was on top of things considering how packed it was. Worst sound system I've ever experienced in a theater.

Asian ginger salad is amazing! This is a great place to catch a movie without crazy waits or being sold out, all while enjoying a snack or a meal. It's unconventional in a favorable fashion that won't break the bank.

People who work here are very nice. My friends and I went to this place on Monday. We were the only ones in the theater, which was nice for us because we were able to pick any seat and talk loud. I think the ticket price should be cheaper considering the fact that the equipment is pretty old and no stadium seating and people usually order drinks and food in there. I don't know if the food is any good here but they have fair amount of items of the menu. I just had a sangria watching a movie. It is nice to have a place like this, so that you can have a little different movie theater experience with meal and alcohol.

Went for Rocky Horror...the sound system was terrible, we couldn't hear the movie and the cast and crew kept screaming over it...if you have memorized rocky horror years ago along with the sayings you're supposed to yell out and don't care to enjoy the show but just scream at it with everyone else then I suggest this place. But if you have never seen the show or just want to enjoy a good performance and actually be able to follow along then find somewhere else. Also, was not a very clean place...

My first rocky horror picture show was a blast! I had a ton of fun, the actors were great. The place was cozy and served decent drinks and not the worst theater/ bar food I have ever had. I have to keep and open mind at these places. The sangra was a great deal and we drank 2 pitchers! NOM. I would certainly go back for another show.

So, it's been approximately 20 years since I've been here. It doesn't appear to have changed a bit. Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect much. At all. But it wasn't even as bad as my low expectations....it was worse. And, that's really too bad because it's such a cool concept and unless you're willing to spend literally 4-5 times as much to do it Hyde Park style (CineBistro), I hate to say it, but I don't know that I want to go back. They renovated since I had been there last? When you first walk into the first set of doors after buying your tickets, the tiny entry way before the next set of doors makes you feel like you are entering a classy place....but then as soon as you open the next set of doors into the lounge, it's more of a sports bar feel. Which was pretty decent. Then, immediately turn left into the theatre and it truly hasn't changed a bit. We sat in the front row, we waited for the waitress to take our order, which we got a pitcher of beer (of course). And a couple of waters. And the Primo nachos. The beer came a few minutes later. But not the waters. Then the nachos came. 30 minutes later. It's that nacho cheese in a bag that so many movie houses and other places use as cheese for their nachos. And a few other mediocre toppings. But then, there were still no waters. Started into the nachos, nothing great, nothing too terrible, but I make better nachos at home better than this. The chairs are the same as they were 20 years ago. I'm surprised that aside from the squeaks, they have held up as long as they have. They were probably the original chairs from when it first opened. We had both been there years ago at separate times. But, for some reason we felt compelled to see The Descendants there. And we didn't know how sad that movie would be either. But, it was still a pretty good movie, just sad. During the movie, my husband asked me what I was staring at. I didn't answer him. I thought I saw out of the corner of my eye something run across one step down from the stage. But it was gone in a flash, so I chalked it up to some sort of shadow from the movie. I kept looking around in case there was some critter running about......but after the movie, he mentioned it again....he thought he saw something run by as well. And he, too, chalked it up to a shadow. Then, I knew I wasn't crazy. And we're pretty sure of it now that there was something in there. Probably the size of a large rat. OMG. That said....we thought we knew what we were getting into....but it was actually worse. :( Wish I could say better things.

Went using a coupon that made it a bargain even for a movie beyond first run. Need to arrive early if ordering food. Food is ok, not exceptional, and nice to be able to get beer and wine. Amazingly servers were able to deliver most meals/drinks before the feature began so there was minimal distraction.

My experience here has always been great. I have watched a few comedy shows in the lounge, including the improv groups Post Dinner Conversation and The Third Thought. The feel of the place is what brings me back. It reminds me of old, standalone cinemas meets comedy clubs. The owner Wayne is a great guy and is interested in bring a variety of entertainment to the venue, from theater productions like Rocky Horror to pro wrestling. It's where I wanna hang out on a Saturday night to catch the side of Tampa most people dont get to see.

The ticket prices are a little cheaper than a normal cinema and you get to drink beer or get hard drinks while watching a movie. I've never gotten any food but they have that there as well. What I think as a downside are the chairs. They have what look like swilly old bar chairs that are wooden and the most uncomfortable chairs I've even sat in while watching a movie. They also set up the chair so close to each other that if you move, your chair is moving the chair next to you. Another drawback is that along with being able to get grub and drinks, the waitress will ask you to pay during the end of the movie, which is totally expectable but irritating if you're into the movie. It's not just you but people next to you or in front of you that they're talking to during the last part of the movie. If you don't mind the distractions or crummy seats, it's a good deal but you end up paying more if you get a pitcher of beer. Oh yeah, they get first run movies as well.

Went to the Pitcher Show theater for the first time last week, and loved it! The food, beer and atmosphere was great. I liked that the prices were lower than a normal theaters and I will absolutely be back with friends!

How can someone NOT love a place like this? You get to watch a movie while sitting in a chair (that, from the looks of it, has been in commision since the 1970s), order food and drinks, and watch a movie. There's no one kicking the back of your seat, there's no awkward closeness - it is movie perfection. The prices are cheaper than a normal theatre, too. The staff is really friendly, too. This is a great place to catch a movie. I love it!

If you're looking for a fancy place to have diner and watch a movie you might want to go elsewhere. If you're looking to have a good time drinking a couple beers, eating pub grub all while watching a flick well then this is the place to be. The lounge area is a nice spot to grab a drink before your movie starts with plenty of seating. When you finally go into the theater you wonder what you just got yourself into. The seats and tables are just placed haphazardly and look like they've been saved from being sent to the dump. The food is okay at best. But it truly is a great time if you just go for the experience and don't expect it to be anything it isn't.

Let me be perfectly clear, the star count is purely for the venue only. The performance got a 1. Went to see a live performance of Rocky Horror last night. I'm a fan of the movie. A little weird but I can understand the cult following. I also have my halloween costume picked out for this year because of last night. The venue was great. Open bar, waitress, and full menu. I didn't get anything to eat, but the portions looked huge enough for 3-4 people. A nice little spin on regular movie theatre food. Plus, it was extremely reasonable in price. The theatre area was really old school. Almost like the leather swivel chairs and tables were from the 1960's (which I can guarantee that they were). They were short staffed, but the waitress was on point. Props to them for busting their butts all night. On to the show... It took forever to start. It had an 11:30 start time and the movie didn't start until 12:45. There was an impromptu drag show that came on. Wasn't the best or worst that I've seen. The people that were putting on the performance did a great job with costumes, makeup, and props. HOWEVER, I could not at all enjoy the performance because of the loud rants by the rest of the performers while the movie was going on. After every line, and sometimes every word throughout the movie, the rest of the performers (not on stage at the time) were screaming, literally screaming pretty profane and annoying stuff. I know that this kind of thing was expected for a live performance of this particular movie, but I couldn't hear the movie at all. It was soooooo annoying. A girl that I was with had never seen the movie and I can tell you, it ruined her perception of Rocky Horror. If they would have just performed the movie with a few live quips here and there, it would have been great, but amount of screaming that went on last night from numerous people actually gave me a headache. If I wasn't there for a meetup event, I would have left 10 minutes into the movie. Cheap Little Punks were the performers... if anyone of you is reading this, you did a great job. Just get it together with all of the much unneeded interruptions throughout the film. Because of it, I will not be back for a live performance and I will also tell others not to go. Also, its really tacky for the entire cast to stand by the door and ask for tips while people are leaving the theater. Tampa Pitcher Show, I'll return for a movie or drag queen bingo.

Scummy location that fails at putting on good live performances. Picture quality is crap and has the service to match. Go else where for food and watch a movie at home.

Finally, a theater with ... real [yummy] food! I'm surprised theres no reviews for this place yet, its actually quite old but in the recent years the owner renovated the place.Shes a lovely lady if you catch her sometimes. Its not your typical sit-in single-chair-hogging arm-rest theater. There are mini tables for each "group", offering full menu and bar right at your own comfort! Its a delight combination of Beef-o-Brady/Apple-Bees and AMC/Regal. Service is great despite the limited amount of light they work in! Screens and surround sound are much like your typical theater, but a bit louder ... (my drink and food were shakin' a bit!). Pricing is extremely reasonable. Note: because they're a privately own-theater, movie show times are limited and they are 1 week or so behind regular release dates, usually 1-2 movie are show a week. Check the website for times or if you commute on N.Dale Mabry everyday like me, check their signs! Non-theater produced quality food -chicken wings, fries, burgers, etc FTW! Great for families, groups, and dates (but don't get too comfy as there are others around ... eating!) Love!
