The speed of this Starbucks, even though it's PACKED, is always pretty good. The staff is quite lovely, and I'm in often enough for them to know what usually get. I am actually in during Frappaccino Happy Hour, and it's pretty empty. My boyfriend and I like the free WiFi. It's small inside, but their porch is really lovely. The bathroom is pretty clean. I've only had a couple of drinks that have missed the mark (the flat white must be difficult to make.)

I have been to a number of Starbucks locations in South Tampa: Bay to Bay, S Dale Mabry, SoHo, Kennedy, Westshore, International Plaza, Barnes and Noble on North Dale Mabry, and Gandy. Having been to all these locations, I understand the general atmosphere Starbucks aims to provide as well as what I can expect in terms of customer service. That being said, the skill, speed, and friendliness that Starbucks as a whole boasts are lacking, if not absent, at the Gandy location. For the (at least) third time, they butchered my order. I went through the drive through and ordered a black venti iced coffee. They asked if I wanted anything in it, and I told them not to put anything in it and just leave it black. I had to emphasize this because this Starbucks, and ONLY this Starbucks, commonly makes the mistake of putting syrup in a black iced coffee. After waiting in the 10/15 minute drive-through, I took a sip of my drink and cringed. Syrup. I went inside and waited in another 10 minute line. When I finally got to the front of the line, I politely asked the lady working at the cash register if I could get a plain iced black coffee without the syrup. I handed her the tainted drink and she put it down, proceeding to direct her attention to the next person in line. She didn't write anything on the drink about it needing to be altered, nor did she communicate my order to any of the baristas. I don't have the time, nor do I have the money, to wait through multiple lines just to get ripped off by incompetent workers. This is a location that does not deserve to call itself Starbucks.

When you need that fix, this is the spot. I'm not a huge fan, mainly because it's insanely expensive and a chain....but I do enjoy the interesting coffee recipes and the gold card membership and free rewards here and there. And the picks of the week are also great! The baristas are mostly on top of it and friendly. I do hate, however, that I am asked if I want my coffee hot or iced. In my mind, it's HOT unless otherwise stated. I mean, that's how coffee was meant to be consumed. But, I digress. This location is very convenient...the parking lot is a bit chaotic at times - because people can't drive. The outdoor seating area is plentiful and nice to have an outdoor patio when the weather is beautiful. Starbucks has done a fantastic job of being consistent no matter what store you are in anywhere in the world. That makes a pretty impressive statement!

Starbucks is my go-to place to work and kill some time for really one reason: free refills on tea and coffee (for members). This location is the only Starbucks in the area, but it is definitely not my favorite in Tampa. They are always crowded, never feel like they have enough seats or tables. The outdoor area feels like it is sitting in the parking lot, and about half the time in the afternoons they seem to be out of something...sometimes more than one. They are super nice here, and the problems aren't enough that I don't come when I'm in the area--but if I'm heading elsewhere, I would far rather be at the Kennedy Starbucks. This one meets my caffeine needs, but it isn't the most relaxing of locations!

I've had to leave this location three times without my drink; twice because they didn't make it correctly and once because they literally just forgot mine (I went inside). I work very early in the morning, and just don't have time to wait for them to make it again. Thankfully there's a Starbucks in the hospital where I work, so I just go there now, and avoid this one unless I have extra time.

Well i don't know where to start. One thing this place is always packed!! This is my first time having Starbucks...yeah it's true why you ask well probably because i hate the smell of coffee so if it wasn't for a gift card i would have never tried them. Like i mentioned its always packed so we walked in the service was perfect i ordered a blueberry muffin and a Apple juice it came out nice and warm and was damn good. I can honestly see why folks are crazy about this place I'm just not into all the coffee and lattes it's just not my thing and for the record i almost died from the coffee smell while waiting for the order lol.

I'm actually a regular here, but I just can't give any more stars because this place is just freezing inside. The staff is very friendly, though...and even with the drive-through backed up on weekend mornings, the service is pretty speedy. Bring a sweater--the a/c is cranked in here no matter where you sit inside. What's with the wifi? Worst connection out of all the South Tampa Starbucks locations. Don't even bother trying to connect. Really. I will remove this comment when this gets better. :)

The service here is always wonderful and the baristas are very friendly. Great location, however sometimes the drive-through can be a bit slow. I really like their breakfast sandwiches, especially the egg-white, spinach and feta wrap. The Cinnamon Dolci Latte is my fave drink.

For goodness sake! When you have eight orders stacked up, and another eight customers waiting in line to order, please consider cutting out the chit chatting with your buddies, and focus on actually doing your job. Employees who are off-duty and visiting... please stop the socializing when your friends are trying to complete orders while customers are standing there waiting, and watching you all banter around. Socializing and friendly chatter are great, but, please know when to cut it out.

Depending on your time this Starbucks is great, all of the Baristas are friendly and seem to genuinely appreciate you being there. The lounge is typically filled young adults playing around on their computers. They have an outside patio, which is great year round weather permitting. Their drink selection is self explanatory, I usually always or a grande soy latte and it does the trick every-time. They have a great passbook application so all I need is my iphone and it tracks my rewards. Once a month or so I'l l get a $1.00 off a tea or single shot. My only issue is the time, this morning I spent over 15 minute in line for my coffee. They are attempting to get orders before you get to the loud speaker but that much time is just too much everyday.

This has been my staple place for Starbucks for the passed three years! They always get my order right and once I lost my debit card while in the drive through and the cashier still gave me my coffee! Talk about pay it forward. It's always clean and kept nice. The drive thru does get a little backed up in the morning! But it's worth it! I love this place!

Its a good 'bucks, a little busy with people at laptops, but I can't complain because I often do work there too. Its the place to have your office. They have a few more items than some of the local smaller locations. They also have a drive through.

Always friendly staff. Always make my latte right. Love the protein snack packs and different foid items. The parfaits are low fat and low calorie which is a good alternative to DD that doesnt have such items. Outside is clean too which is nice.

It is always such a pleasure to come to this Starbucks! Located right down the street from work, it's a great location for me to stop by on the way in, or just to go to as a mid-afternoon coffee run. Service is always great here and everyone is so friendly, making sure to engage you in conversation that isn't forced when you are half-asleep at 7am. Now with the Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffin available, they sell out fast, so stop by a Starbucks soon to try it!
