Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Parking is terrible, the service is slow and inaccurate, and the employees are rude. Don't bother asking for decaf because they make it regular despite the request.

Hey yall I work here just a public notice; most of you know we have a difficult parking situation to say the least, but apparently a neighbor complained about the volume of cars on the backroad so Tampa PD has begun ticketing

It's Starbucks, same here as anywhere else. This location is open 24 hours but the lobby closes at 12 midnight. I found that out the hard way unfortunately. The lobby is always clean but cold so bring a jacket. This has become a great place for me to come late night to get some work in before bed. Even late at night I feel safe at this establishment. The staff is friendly and committed to customer service. As a non-coffee drinker, I usually get a berry refresher (no water) or a pastry with water.

  • April S.

Again my favorite place for my carmel frappe. However I do not know why Starbucks builds one such small areas. This is on the corner of a busy intersections and again not nearly enough room for vehicles.

    (5)
  • Danielle F.

Oh, Starbucks. Tampa's embarrassing coffee culture means that Starbucks is usually the place that you have to go for coffee. I sincerely miss the quiet coffee shop atmosphere. Now you have to endure your overpriced, burnt coffee in a loud, obnoxious space. I have liked this particular, Sem Heights Starbucks, but it has become unbearable. The parking lot is poorly designed (as many drive-thru Starbucks parking lots are), and it is so loud inside. I like to read at coffee shops, but it's impossible to do here.

I once saw a hipster and a soccer mom go at it in the parking lot. Hipster won because 1. Better use of swears and 2. Soccer mom really was going the wrong [redacted] way. Over-caffeinated in a small parking lot - it was inevitable.

  • Oprah S.

The staff has always been nice & pretty quick. The parking lot & drive through, well that's a whole other ballgame.

Gotta give Starbucks a good review since they emailed me a coupon for a FREE breakfast sandwich

Conveniently located right off / on the highway. This Starbucks has drive thru! Lots of seats inside and usually fast service. The only downside its that its always packed. Usually parking its so hard to find that you have to wait until someone comes out. Besides the parking issue I think this is an awesome Starbucks.

    (4)
  • Natasha P.

This place is always busy and packed but despite the busyness service is very fast and the employees are always nice and on point keeping things moving. The couch towards the back of the store is very comfy too. My only complaint is the small parking.

No longer consistent. Average customer service, especially for regulars. I used to love my neighborhood Starbucks. Visiting almost EVERY day, the staff seemed to be on top of it. However, they have recently been letting me down. Drive thru has become very inconsistent. No soy (which I pay for) in my coffee twice in two weeks and longer wait times. I have been to other Starbucks who will offer a free drink card if the wait time is too long. Not once has this happened here, and I am a regular. Pretty disappointing and not a good way to keep your customers happy. A recent drink mixup in the drive thru had me waiting again to remake the drink which, after all of that, ended up way sweeter than the ONE pump of syrup I had ordered. Again, no "free drink on us for the trouble" card. And if you think they will treat you to a free drink on your birthday, well "only if you have a registered gold card". Guess it's time to switch to a locally run or independent coffee shop who might be more appreciative of its regular costumers.

I have been to this location many times as it's one of the few that is open when I go to work they are slow and only seem to get my drink right half the time - check before you leave!!!

  • Katey O.

MY FAVORITE STARBUCKS!!!!! I miss going there since I moved to Maryland, but make sure to stop by every time I am in town. I worked there for over a year and loved going to work. I have also been a partner at other stores, but this one by far blew the other ones out of the water! This is the personification of Starbucks' "third place". PLUS the drive thru is 24 hours! (at least it was last I checked...)

  • Marie W.

I only do drive thru with this location. Pros: Specialty drinks are usually on point. That is huge. Cons: Convenient yet horrible location. Its right next to 2-75, next to the off ramp. When pulling in off of Hillsborough, you have to go all the way around the building, next to the car line. Some people do not realize this so they sit at the entrance to the store. Its typically always busy. The line can be long and slow moving. There's almost no parking, and that is why I just do drive thru. If you do park, face Hillsborough otherwise you'll be blocked in by the drive thru line (parking directly in front of the store). You have to make a right out of Starbucks from the drive thru side, u-turn, to get back up to the light on Hillsborough. But hey, with all these cons, the fact that they can make a drink right makes it worth the stop-so that's why I won't rate this location lower than 4 stars :)

  • Matthew P.

Great customer service attentive polite!!! Worst parking lot EVER!! Drive-thru blocks parking every second on he morning! Why does corporate choose these smaller locations not smart! They have tone thinking cash cow

  • Brandy M.

Unhappy with this Starbucks as of late... They are under new management and they have for starters changed the hours. This use to be a 24/7 location and they are now only open til 2 . They often run out of different flavor syrups and pastries. The last 3 times I have gone they were out of at least one of the things I wanted. It is very frustrating.. I have 4 doggies and they luv puppacino time! The last time I went the attendant at the window was quite rude about fixing 2 for me. The babies always share and when I asked for 2 she just was very sharp with me, was not at all friendly. This used to be my favorite Starbucks so the changes lately have been increasingly frustrating.

Not a huge fan of chains but I give Starbucks credit for opening right in the heart of Seminole Heights before the ongoing growth sky rocketed. I will also say, that as chains go, this one has been a useful addition since we don't have many other options for late night and very early AM coffee (Jet City isn't open late and The Independent doesn't open until 9am). The drive through is nice and the hours are awesome. Parking is tough sometimes - this is a tight small area but there is a surprising amount of indoor seating available for such a small location.

    (4)
  • Haley D.

this starbucks is one of my all time favorite locations in the Bay area. The staff is always extremely friendly, they repeat my order back to me for correct construction, and most importantly, they remember my name. (I'm not a daily customer, so I value this immensely) The parking is very limited at this location, but I'm usually a drive thru customer so it doesn't bother me too much. I've been inside for meetings and I've found the lobby to be smaller than some Starbucks, but it's always been clean and well maintained. I cannot imagine much to improve on the already stellar setting, other than an expansion to the property. All around, this is a top notch Starbucks and I'll continue to call them my friendly neighborhood baristas.

    (5)
  • Cassandra S.

Great, Standard Starbucks. Always consistent. Drive through line is a little tight but they keep it moving.

    (5)
  • Amanda Y.

You must drive around the building to get into the drive thru, also their is only about 5 spot to park in. You shouldn't park in the neighborhood.

    (4)
  • ian b.

Standard coffee. But this parking lot is like a free for all no holds bard idiots choice of parking.

    (2)
  • Bonita B.

I enjoy the 24-hours (drive-thru) and late hours (indoor). Free WiFi... Outside and indoor seating is available.

    (4)
  • Rachel M.

When in doubt, and need a WI-FI, starbucks is always there for the rescue. This is a nice location easy to spot right off the expressway and has a pretty decent outside area. I love my starbucks drinks, but even better when I spotted this one, I knew I could kill a little time till my next meeting. glad I found it, and know it is around.

    (3)
  • Bohemian J.

Slowest Starbucks in the history of Starbucks. They had a line out to the street, so I went inside ... There was only one person in front of me in line, and it still took 15 minutes to get a coffee... I could've done laps around this place in my car in the drive through by the time I walked out. I would go to Jet City Coffee down the street instead

    (1)
  • Jo L.

As is the case with most Starbucks built on pre-existing city lots, it is as if the city officials were so coffee-crazed they tossed out the normal parking and vehicle queueing requirements. If you park in the lot, your car WILL be dinged or you WILL be trapped due to the poorly designed drive through line. And for what? Go inside and there's no place to sit, loud and bad acoustics make conversation impossible, and the pastries they sell are reheated from frozen. On the upside, the baristas are friendly here.

    (2)
  • Stephen T.

Parking is horrible. Avoid this place on Thursday and Friday because drive-thru is super slow.

    (1)
  • Tammilou R.

Prime Starbucks place. Just passing by but the coffee isn't less of what you expect at a Starbucks. Was kinda busy when we came but it was around traffic hour so it made sense.

    (4)
  • Ashley B.

The drive-thru is my favorite thing about this Starbucks. Is there anything better than a cup of Starbucks to get you through an early morning? I think not! The drive-thru makes it so easy to hop off 275 and grab my drink without losing too much time, which is huge since I'm always running late! The parking lot is always packed, but there's a side street nearby for overflow parking. There isn't a ton of seating inside, but there is a nice big patio area outside. The staff is always friendly, and of course, the drinks are wonderful!

    (5)
  • Bronze M.

I used to live in Seminole Heights and frequented this location often. The service was great and the drinks were awesome as usual. This is a 24/7 location, which is awesome. My only complaints about this location is that it's too small, gets crowded and there is not enough parking. I gave it 5 stars because the staff is always attentive and take customer satisfaction very seriously. Although there are long waits at times, the people that you get to meet make up for it! B. Major Grade: A

  • Corey G.

9people Bad server Dirty So disappointing this location. I was there a couple nights ago around 9:30pm. Not too many customers but about 10 employees! I was in a good mood when I arrived because a few were dancing in the customer area (I thought it was funny). But, then I had to virtually yell to get someone's attention to take my order. Plus, later we sat in the customer area & the place was a mess. One person came by, said hi, barely wiped one table & left the rest of the place a mess. So so disappointing because this is a great location. And no it was NOT busy. I will not be back.

    (1)
  • Fernando G.

I'd take away a star for the terribly planned parking lot and drive-thru, but it's got plenty of seating and a very friendly staff. Definitely one of the more enjoyable locations around.

    (5)
  • Steph G.

Because this site is open 24/7, it's a very popular place. Parking is NOT ideal, but the staff is attentive, very roomy seating areas both indoors and out, and safely lit.

    (5)
  • Steve L.

It's nice to be the "Duke" of the Seminole Heights Starbucks!!!!! The only thing that gives me tears about this SB is the parking and traffic. I love the customers who always park right in front of the "No parking" signs and anywhere else they believe they can. It tends to make getting in and out of here a mess. Other than that this seems to be the best SB location in Tampa..

    (5)
  • Caitlin T.

Hands down the nicest, cleanest, friendliest Starbucks I've ever been to. That alone would give it at least 4 stars, but the fact that my drink was properly made, with good espresso and streamed (rather than burned) milk means this place gets all of the stars. A+, Seminole Heights.

    (5)
  • Tiffany T.

This has got to be the slowest moving Starbucks I have ever been to. Yes, it's 8am but the Starbucks I normally go to has me in and out. Don't stop unless you have at LEAST an extra 30 minutes. It took me longer than that to get through the drive through. Inside looked worse.

    (1)
  • Justin R.

One of two of my Starbucks. They serve coffee, consistently, the same every time. Now for some people that may not be important, but for me I want to walk in and get the same coffee tasting the same way every time I order it. Believe me it can be, and I really don't know how else to put this....fucked up, but they do it right every time. The staff is awesome, especially in the AM. They kick ass and take names, I'm in and out, like cheap sex after a bad fight, and always feel like a valued customer. Thank you Seminole Heights Bux!

    (5)
  • Rebecca V.

This place is extremely busy but the staff does a great job keeping the lines moving! Coffee is always good!

    (5)
  • Max G.

My favorite Starbucks. They make a mean iced white chocolate mocha. Sweet lord. I could have one of these every day. The crowd that comes there is very business-like. If not business-like, they're cute girls. Just sayin'. If I had more time to burn, I'd hang out here more often.

    (5)
  • Jim B.

Its a Starbucks - but this one was actually fought for by local residents. The Historic Review Board was not having it, but the populace rose up and told them to get stuffed - and, now its here. The place is rarely anything close to empty. Lots of hipsters and oldsters on any given day or time - laptops plugged in, books being read, parking lot full. You might have a problem getting in. Thats a great thing considering I have friends who live close that always walk over... imagine if everyone drove in. Yeah. Anyway - I like this joint, and usually run into someone I know when I make it up from S Tampa to pop in here. Its the location and people that make this Starbucks stand out.

    (5)
  • Michael R.

Open 24 hours unlike to locations on Kennedy and Westshore, but the parking is extremely limited and you're usually parking on a side street. Staff have always been nice to me, and this location is the most convenient to my home in VM Ybor and it's relatively quick and easy access off I-275.

    (4)
  • Bill H.

What is important to know about this Starbucks is it's just off I275 easy exit and easy return back on to the interstate. Important for travelers to know. Larger store size, lot's of outdoor seating, drive through and very busy most times. Other than that it's a Starbuck's nuf said.

It's convenient to home, coffee is good most of the time, the barista's are entertaining.

I have been to this location many times as it's one of the few that is open when I go to work they are slow and only seem to get my drink right half the time - check before you leave!!!
