Food is ok but the service is terrible! The cleanliness is sketchy as well..

The waitress that my friends & I had was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive & always refilled our water & bread as soon as it looked low. I definitely recommend coming on Wednesday bc they have this deal where you can get a choice of salad or soup (with unlimited refills) and a pasta dish (2 options) for $5.95, and this also includes the unlimited bread! The pasta was average tasting, but the portion was bigger than I expected. I did enjoy their garlic herb butter for their bread but it was definitely the customer service that stood out to me. Plus, it was just too great a deal to pass up!

Nice place in famous Ybor area. Great decor. Was there on a Sun night so not too busy though they had a mystery dinner theatre in the back which I'm sure is fun if you're part of it, but noisy if you're not. The food was very average. Had fried mozzarella triangles for appetizer which was good, then we shared the ultimate feast for 2 which had spaghetti, ravioli, chicken parmigiana, Italian sausage, and lasagna. The ravioli and white sauce was blend, chicken was good, lasagna was also good, spaghetti was over cooked and blend as well. Waiter and staff was very friendly and never made us feel rushed. The prices are reasonable so for the price, it was OK though probably would not go out of our way to go back.

We had the lasagna and it was extremely saucy. More sauce than actual pasta and meat. The minestrone soup was not my favorite. The customer service was great up until the end of our meal. We were not asked if we wanted dessert and when someone from our party asked if they could have coffee, the waitress tried to talk him out of it. He asked 5 times before our waitress actually brought it over. Outside of that she was really great though. The 2 stars is really because of the food.

This is my third time I am here. If you need a serious spaghetti dish, this is the place. They will give you large quantity of food to fill your stomach and take home. The entree comes with soup. Usually they have two kinds of soups a day for you to choose. If you signup the member list, they usually send a free meal coupon for your birthday. I am usually here for one dish. It is not in the entree. It is in the appetizer. You probably guess why appetizer for main meal. Hungry people will not be hungry if you know what I have order. The appetizer is is the Sicilian Sampler. You can chose three of the selected items to form your appetizer plate. It include Toasted Ravioli, Mozzarella Fritta, Fried Zucchini, Calamari, Stuffed Mushrooms or Classic Bruschetta. You can see there are plenty to choose tailor to what you want. This is good dish and affordable. My wife has the spaghetti meatballs with complimentary soup. Her dish is classic. Don't get the red tomatoes sauce spill to you dress. Difficult to get off for washing. Overall they are good. Service is great.

Let me first say this, I think that the Spaghetti Warehouse is somewhat of a novelty and good customer service is key to making the experience solid which this experience wasn't for me or our party. We arrived after setting a reservation for 7- including 2 children and my friend Tom celebrating his birthday. They were told in advance. We were greeted by the manager and after noticing the beautiful and historic hand carved brass plaque on the wall in the lobby, I commented to him and asked..."do you know the value of this beautiful piece?" To which he replied..."no, it's been here over 30 years, and I have no idea". Nice Anyhow we were seated and greets by "Danny" who was to be our server. You know when you have the feeling right away that this particular experience may be I interesting? Well I was right. Bread was delivered to the table as were our drinks- sprite, water and a pitcher of delicious Sangria! Then creepy balloon animal man showed up to the table. Now, the kids of course enjoyed his balloon sculpting skills, I on the other hand could not wait until he had finished his twisting of a butterfly arm bracelet for the little girl in our party. I ordered the 15 layer lasagna. The description looked enticing and of course the picture looked like a mound of luscious lasagna. I had a salad with blue cheese dressing. One lady in our party asked, what came on the salad and we were told- croutons, lettuce, onion(s) and tomato(s). Notice please the plural of onion and tomato. Then the salads arrived. The blue cheese dressing slinked over the lettuce like a drippy watery concoction. The single and lonely onion ring slice was barely enough to keep the single slice of tomato company. Perhaps they forgot the tomato(s) and onion(s)??? The dressing was not like any respectable blue cheese that I had tasted so I sent it back in exchange for he Italian Wedding Soup. The soup was "ok"...always a brides maid, never a bride! On to the entree- my lasagna arrived with a large piece of ground beef almost falling off of the plate. At this point, my Sprite was low and there had been no offer to refill. Danny hadn't refilled any of our drinks. The lasagna was barely warm and I sent it back to the kitchen. The initial portion was nothing like the picture in the menu. Maybe a few of the layers had the night off??? Danny returned with my plate and I am not sure if they replaced it or my portion shrunk, it was "warmer" but not hot. I was hungry, so I ate it. It was alright but did not match the hype of the menu. Others in my party ate their food, noting that nothing was spectacular. Just ok. We waited for our drinks to be refilled hoping that Danny would actually ask, but hence he didn't so we requested that he refill our drinks. He obliged! We ordered desert. Seeing as it was my friends birthday. The deserts arrived with no fanfare, and no singing of Happy Birthday. It wasn't until my friends wife got up and went to the front desk to remind someone that there was a birthday at our table, did the entire wait staff return and serenade my friend. Remember- the restaurant had been told. By the time they came, we had finished our deserts I ordered the brownie Sunday...and it was delicious. Kind of a saving grace in the food department. All in all, being with our friends was amazing- however the food and the service was subpar and not at all what I would expect after reading an Elite Yelper's 4 star review. Maggiano's would have been a better choice but hence, we couldn't get a reservation. There were lots of empty tables at Spaghetti Warehouse, probably why Maggiano's is so full???

I've been here many times over the years just never gotten around to rate it. Located in one of the old cigar factories in Ybor City. Very rustic with lots of memorabilia. Even an old trolley car that you can dine in. Cool place for the tourists. Anyway, the food... Always very good especially the spaghetti with beer chili. My favorite. The lasagna is also excellent. Lunch and dinners served with hot baked bread and a choice of salad or soup. The Wedding soup was excellent. But! Can't say as much for the salad. A bit wilted and the vinaigrette dressing was very bland and seem to wilt the salad even more. Maybe just a off day so I'll give them a pass on that. $35.00 for two with a couple of beers. Not bargain basement but still reasonable. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

Had dinner here tonight because they had the Labor Day Special family feast. This was my first time here and I was planning on a good first time experience because of all the good things I have heard. But I did not. When I first arrived with my family, the host went to seat us at this filthy booth. My fiance stated to her that there was food all over it. The hostes leaves and comes back with napkins and hands it to her to clean it up ourselves. WOW! The waiter was not attentive, my family had to constantly request refills, silverware was filthy, and no desert was offered after dinner was over. I would not recommend this resturant to anyone.

This place is a prototypical 3 star restaurant - subpar/average food (2-2.5 stars), attentive service (4 stars), interesting decor/features (old-timey 40s vibe). I've only been 4-5 times since living in Ybor for over 7 years. That says a lot. It's just not that good. Actually, they would make big strides just by coming up with new sauces. The marinara sauce is like Chef Boyardee and the alfredo sauce is too bland and thin. The pasta itself is cooked well though. I wonder how they stay in business but they do draw a nice crowd on Wednesdays when they have $5.95-$6.95 specials all day, which includes certain entrees which comes with bottomless soup or salad and bread. Speaking of the bread, they should replace the butter they use with real butter or olive oil. The "butter" they give you has a weird texture and flavor. The bread was OK and I did like my Caesar salad and I'm not even a salad guy. So for $5.95, it was ok. If you go there for that special, you won't be too disappointed at that price point. Otherwise, if you want Italian in Ybor, there are better options.

The bread, soups and salad were good. My husband and I thought the spaghetti was okay but nothing remarkable. My daughter tried the Alfredo and it was bland. The location, decor and lighting was very nice but we left feeling underwhelmed especially for the price. Also the server was nice but once she gave me my card and receipt she returned a moment later and asked for her copy. I was really put off because that has never happened to me before and it made us feel uncomfortable so I left before finishing my drink.

We waited in the lobby for a very long time before anyone even noticed us. Then we waited a long time to even get our drinks. The salad was swimming in dressing and the flatbread appetizer was very greasy. The cherry on top was the cold chicken parm.

My feeling from the reviews was that this place has fallen somewhat in quality but remains a Tampa staple of Italian foods. That said, my managed expectations were surpassed. The food was great and their specialties came out perfectly. I highly recommend the lasagna (of course) and adding meatballs to anything you order! By far, the most impressive and surprising thing was the staff and service - easily comparable to a 4 star dining experience in that regard. Everyone, including the busser, was extremely pleasant, professional and attentive. I branched out from the standard specialties of the house and got the spicy shrimp pasta. This is not a tomato sauce based dish and was really oily. I took it home and actually drained it before I heated it up the next day. We also got the lasagna which was awesome. Therefore, I recommend sticking to dishes with tomato/meat/Alfredo sauces rather than an oil based dish. What To Wear: this is a family restaurant and anything from casual to pretty dressy for special or group occasions is appropriate. I wore a standard date night dress. Although it is hidden away from the Ybor main strip, I am sure there are people that stop by before hitting the clubs/bars for the evening and club-wear would be fine here too. The only thing to be aware of is the brick sidewalks and courtyard that surround this place. They are really pretty but a REAL pain to walk on. It was not easy to maneuver in even the 2.5 inch non-stiletto heels I was wearing and I am sure platforms would not make that uneven ground more manageable - just be careful!

Three stars because the wait staff that took care of our large party was wonderful and wildly patient with the 17 teenaged girls we hosted for an event. The food is standard, mass produced itialian food. Good for families with kids that want to venture out for a meal that the whole family can be happy with. The inside of Spaghetti Warehouse sports cool décor, including a trolley in the middle of the restaurant that you can dine in. Commercial, yet simple for a run of the mill experience.

I've eaten here several times in the past few years. First time to review though. The dish I had, Spaghetti Pomodoro, met my expectations. I felt it had plenty of flavor and I enjoyed a Jai Alai IPA with it. The price was reasonable and the waitress was reasonably attentive. My family didn't share the same experience but I'd definitely eat here again.

  • Matthew B.

Oh man what can I say. Mediocre at best. The chili I got wasn't very good as it just had meat in it with no other ingredients. The decor of the place is great and carries a lot of history. The wait staff was extremely slow as I have been sitting here waiting for 15 minutes after he dropped off the check. I have the card on the table and he has dissappeared. I won't be coming back

Sooo disappointed!! The food was beyond bland, nothing special at all! I had the chicken parmesan...1 small piece of chicken, tasteless sauce & pasta. I could of had a better meal at Macaroni Grill smh

In passing by while visiting Ybor, I saw a courtyard of layered bricks. It had a gated fence and I like to be daring - so I entered within the gate. There were many a people dressed up; people who attend the Church of Scientology. They tried welcoming me in to see their spaceship, but I was distracted by a glaring neon sign that read, "Spaghetti Warehouse". It was so bright, so powerful; I found myself lured into it. A friendly greeter welcomed me and brought me to a table. They promptly suggested a soda beverage / I wasn't sure if they knew of my alcoholic past or not - damn, they're good! I ordered a lemonade... it came with free ice. The waitress was pleasant and instead of reading off the offerings, she handed me a nice piece of paper to see what they had. I saw God at this point; in the form of Spaghetti and Meatballs. So I figured I'd give God a try. After about 15 minutes, the Spaghetti and Meatballs came out. It was one of the most amazing looking dishes I've seen. I had to instantly pull out my cell phone and Instagram it out to my friends. One bite and I was hooked. Thankfully the dish came with a free spoon for helping to roll the pasta; but I won't describe my troubles of non-talent of using a spoon. Overall it was pretty nice; a guest wouldn't recommend the over-oily baked ziti. I'll be back to try something more... maybe I can go ride the spaceship now?

I hadn't been tot the Spaghetti Warehouse in probably 20 years, but saw a Groupon deal and gave it a shot. It is not the best Italian dining in the area, but it is solid food at a decent price, and in our experience good service. I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I split the Italian Feast for two and here is how I would rate the contents: Meatballs-decent sized and good, but not overly strong seasoning-3 stars Lasagna-Very good flavor, nice sauce-4 stars Italian Sausage-really good flavor, cooked to perfection-5 stars Chicken Parm-good sauce, a bit heavy on the breading-3 stars Spaghetti with red sauce-OK, with a nice if not strong flavor. This is basically a low cost filler to bulk up the contents of the platter-2.5 stars Italian wedding soup-surprisingly good! Great flavor, lots of meatballs, I would definitely get it again. Our server was very solid, with prompt service and was very personable. If you are in Ybor and want an economic but solid Italian meal in my experience you should consider stopping here.

Located in Ybor City next to a Church of Scientology compound, there is parking in a nearby garage as well as limited street parking. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The food was reasonably priced but not very flavorful. Dining in the indoor train car was a hit with the kids! There were lots of groups celebrating during our visit but the wait staff was attentive.

Spegetti Warehouse used to be very accessible, until the Church of Sent log move in. Parking is now much more difficult or costlt. Their food has seen way better days! I used to love their lasagna, now it is lower than pedestrian. The Chicken parmesan was burnt and not completely cooked & lacked cheese. The noodles were just that with something that resembled a cheap store bought tomato sauce on top. The parmesson cheese on the table was dried and would not shake out of the container. Of course their was no fresh cheese being grated at the table. It was a busy night, with Christmas approaching, but, overall service was a 3. Food is lucky to get a 2. Hot bread and blended butter were okay, but certainly nothing remerable. The salad was fresh & even though it was iceberg lettuce, I must say that was the best part of the meal, except the company, of course. Would I return, no, I would not spend one penny on food here. Service, for a busy evening was okay. What's a girl to do? Watch the trends and when a restaurant runs out of steam & good food, cross it off your list.

Service very poor, food not good. Spaghetti was dry. Water was good. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for paramsan cheese. And it was from a can. Not fresh. Don't think I'll come back. Judy liked the lasagna.

We love the Spaghetti Warehouse! It's no frills, good food with good portions, and reasonable prices wrapped up in a historic Ybor location. How can you not love this place?!? My favorite dish is the chicken parm. It's a big hunk of chicken fried Italian food smothered in cheese and marnaria. My fiance likes the table wine. And she loves the pour sizes. Spaghetti Warehouse gets a gold star from us!

Stumble upon this spot for lunch and it is a good place if you are in a hurry since most people will probably go to the main restaurants on 7th. I ordered the Salmon salad. Going to a pasta place after working out not the best idea. Looking forward to trying the pasta dishes.

One of my favorite places to go for spaghetti. It isn't the best Italian food available but the atmosphere is good and the sourdough bread alone is worth the trip. They always run specials and coupons. An excellent value. Sit in the trolley if you can. That's where my wife and I became engaged many years ago.

    (4)
  • Ashlie V.

I was meeting an old friend there (not my choice) and the atmosphere is pretty cool. But i never thought a restaurant could have food so bland, plain, and tasteless. I had the Grilled Chicken Linguine. There was no sauce, no salt, and the chicken was dry as hell. It's like they just steamed everything together and dumped it on the plate. Horrible experience. PLEASE save your time and money by not going.

It was not my choice to go here, but it was for a friend's birthday, so I figured it couldn't possibly be as bad as the reviews claimed. LOL. Wrong. I know this review will reflect most poorly on our server, but his rude attitude seemed to be a reflection of the fact that he was sat 3 times consecutively, and basically had to juggle our table, 2 others, and another table who was finishing their meal. On top of that, the manager pulled him AWAY from his tables several times to make him do random things, including seating a table of 14 right beside our table of 4. Having worked in the service industry, I can understand why he was rushing and flustered. What I don't understand is why he consistently neglected us, brought the wrong salad, nearly dropped food on our table, left before we completed our orders, and disappeared for at least 20 minutes prior to taking our entree orders. He didn't ever look us in the eye or even tell us his name. And if his general "I don't care what you do as long as you eat fast and leave" attitude wasn't endearing enough, he proceeded to hit me in the face with a to go box before we left. Nice. As far as food goes, it was all totally forgettable. Except the salad, which is better described as a bowl of dressing with a few veggies for good measure. My vegetable lasagna was average. My husband's spaghetti was not cooked to our liking, as it was quite mushy and drenched with marinara sauce. I just was absolutely unimpressed from start to finish. It's too bad that such a beautiful old building has such a low quality resteraunt with lackadaisical staff all around. Will not be back.

We eat here a couple of times a month. Food is good and service at times is so, so. They seem to have an issue with seating you as soon as you walk in. Seems we are always waiting. They only complaint I have was one evening a female manager was yelling at her staff in the back and we could here everything Apparently some silverware ended up in the trash and she was making them dig it out.

1st time here. Was part of a dinner party. Was scared after arriving and reading some Yelp reviews. Since it was a party it was a Limited menu. Wife ordered Lasagna, I ordered chicken parm but requested white Alfredo sauce vs the usual red sauce. When arrived there is no waiter with a grinder of cheese. When we requested extra cheese - there grabbed a shaker off of another table. The chicken was 1/2 of 1 breast. Nothing special. Fettecini Alfredo was very bland. Wife Lasagna was pretty good. Sangria - eh? Wait staff is slow. All in all -2 stars only can't give 1.5 Stars!

YBor City is a great place to visit. Full of bars, restaurants, trolley's, trains and movie theater. In the midst of all these fun places there's the Spaghetti Warehouse. In the Spaghetti Warehouse sits an old trolley train where you can dine in, making it fun for the kids. They also do a Murder Mystery from time to time. Other than that, the decor is exciting and fun. The food well some I tried were out of this world and some, say the spaghetti and meatballs dish lacks flavor. As an Italian man who cooks all kids of authentic Italian, one can identify some of the dishes which just don't taste original or authentic. In this case, the spaghetti and meatballs that my son and I tried taste too bland and the spaghetti lacked salt and flavor for the sauce. My guest had the Spaghetti Pesto Basilica, she says it was very good. It certainly smelled good. Would I travel 35 miles to try a spaghetti dish from this place? Probably not. In the past visit I tried their meat lasagna that was good.

When I walked in the smell was horrile. The sweet tea was not sweet at all and my Chicken Alfredo sauce tasted like something out a jar. For dessert I ordered the Vanilla Canoli.... but when it came the filling was chocolate and it had chocolate and mint chips on it.... no vanilla. Not a good experience and I would Not go back or recommend this place. I don't know if the servers were all new but the service was just as bad as the food.

My fiance went to SW for the first time last night and were pleasantly suprised. The atmosphere is quaint & homie and the prices are very reasonable. Food is very good, not fine dining good but very good. We plan to have our rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding. Portions are huge and service is friendly :) we'll be back!

I have been to this place a half a dozen times over the last 6 years. I have not been here in about 2 years and in that time the menu has changed. This kind of thing usually doesn't bother me because I get that sometime companies want a fresh start. They don't want things to get stale and predictable. But lets face it, this is really a Spaghetti and Meatballs place. And it's the place people come back to because of that consistency. I know that is what brought me back. So I was a little dismayed when my favorite "clam sauce" was no longer available. They also seemed to be heavily pushing the "15 Layer Lasagna". And we also had this coupon from the website that gave us a "4 Person Feast" featuring the world famous Lasagna, 2 pieces of Chicken Parm and a large portion of Fettuccine Alfredo and bottomless soup or salad for each person All for 30 bucks! Great freaking deal!! That is, until you begin to eat it. What we got was soggy limp lettuce covered in a decent Caesar dressing, pretty good soup, Lasagna that tasted like it was re-heated from Costco, bland pasta, and Deep Fried Chicken patties covered with red sauce and melted cheese. We got full, but were hardly satisfied. And the place was half empty on a Friday night. We should have taken that as a clue. The place had changed alright....and not for the better. It is a shame really. I looked forward to coming here anytime I made it to the Tamp area. Unfortunately I will not be returning. I will miss you Spaghetti Warehouse...or rather, I already do.

We had a business lunch today (Tuesday @ 2:30) at the Spaghetti Warehouse. The restaurant was clean and we were seated immediately. That was great. Our waitress was a different story (bless her heart). She wasn't slow, just very uninterested. She gave each of us a drink. Apparently she mixed the drinks up. Our business partner actually had a straw in his drink ready to sip. She snatched the drink away and said, "don't drink that" and gave it to me. Then she said, "I think I have it right." So we just sat there for a minute making sure she didn't need to move the drinks again. I asked her for napkins and when she dropped them on the table, they landed in butter. We were ready to pay the check and she disappeared. We sat there for awhile and finally we flagged her down as she raced by. She told one of our partners that she was going to refill his drink. He never saw that refill. Called management back after we left to share the experience. The manager told me that the waitress was great. OH! Okay! Maybe I didn't get that memo. I am just not a fan!

Why 4 stars? Because it was solid, but not 5 star worthy. --- --- --- My first visit to Spaghetti Warehouse was months ago, and I was completely blown away. Upon my second visit, the service was much slower, and the food was not shockingly delicious. The service was fine, and the good was better than average, but I just didn't feel a 5-star rating was justified. I still love the building, and love how hidden this place is.

Just had lunch there. Cathy was great, kept everything moving. We had the stuffed mushrooms, salad, baked spaghetti and lasagna. The bread & butter was delish. You couldn't asked any better. All the dishes was prepared with loving care.

I have no worlds to describe how DISGUSTING the bathrooms are! Seriously? It's dead in here and there is staff wondering all over the place. Someone wanna clean the bathrooms? ALOT?! Should I mention the salad that tastes moldy and the vegetable lasagna that included canned spinach? No need. Not coming back. You guys are a shoe -in for the show Kitchen Nightares. You have a great building & location. If you would put more pride into your cleanliness and food you would have a highly successful establishment.

Was in tonight for an education related dinner. Two servers were appointed for over 50 of us. Went without beverages, bread etc., even though it was included. No desert or coffeee service afterward. I asked for the manager who found me 10 minutes later. I would not recommend this for group functions. The bathrooms had both urinals out of service and it was filthy. In two hours they got more negative publicity than it would take 5 years to recover from. 50 people could have made recommendations to either dine there or not. Mine would to not. Im not a petty customet that gets all bent out of shape because the salad plate wasn't chilled, just a normal guy. A teacher, who would not recommend this place to anyone in good faith.

  • Ally S.

Food was pretty yummy, but our server was not great at all. With a policy that you cannot sit until the entire group is there to the slow-moving waitress we had, there was a lot to be desired. There are other Italian restaurants that are much better in the area. I would rather spend a bit more on my dish for best quality all around.

Wow you guys sure as hell skimped on this chicken Alfredo. Smallest serving size I've ever received for a meal at this price. Had good memories going there as a kid but this is just pathetic. Won't be back

I used to come here when I was young. My boyfriend and I went on the 5$ spaghetti night- food was mediocre at best. But for 5$ a plate and all you can eat salad/soup we couldn't really complain. However- recently for my little sisters graduation my family (a party of 8) came in for dinner on a Tuesday. They were not that busy- but you could tell they were understaffed. It took them 15 minutes to seat us. Another 15 minutes to get us our drinks. Since I was in good company with my family, we let the timing slide. 30 minutes for our appetizers to come out- there were maybe 4-5 other tables aside from us. From what I could see there were 2 servers and a manager. But seriously, 5 tables isn't that much! And we were their biggest table. We asked for refills and more drinks, and it took 10 minutes each time. Also- the sangria is a rip off! They serve it in the tiniest glasses. The waitress knew nothing about anything. We asked what Italian beers they had- she suggested a Sam Adams Boston lager- wtf? My boyfriend ordered the "15 layer lasagna" which really was a 2 layer lasagna. Nothing was fresh. My aunt ordered a ceasr salad and it was runny, wilted and sour. I took 2 bites of my spaghetti then immediately shit my brains out afterwards. I felt so sick. The server was not sympathetic, and didn't apologize for anything. We sat at 7:40 and didn't leave until 10pm. It took them another 25 minutes to split 2 checks after they ran the wrong credit cards. There were many more common mistakes that happened through the whole experience. Needless to say, I'm never going back again. It's a shame- that place used to be good back in the day!

Really neat place, great décor! We enjoyed our food very much. Everything was not only delicious, but was authentic Italian. I was even able to enjoy a Peroni Italian beer with my meal. Service was awesome, we waited for nothing. The building itself is gorgeous and well kept. You can tell they have a good manager who cares. As with all great real Italian restaurants, we had quit a bit of leftovers to take home.

Good food at a reasonable price point, great way to see some of the old Ybor buildings from the inside.

I am always a fun of Spaghetti Warehouse, it's a Tampa institution! Great atmosphere, good service. Not expensive. Decent food. Stick with spaghetti and meat sauce or spaghetti with sausage.

Came when they opened at 11 & had to wait 45 min for our lunch! The spaghetti/meatballs was bland, also the spaghetti pomodoro pasta had no flavor to it. very disappointed and will not be coming back here.

We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse yesterday because it was National Lasagna Day and they sent me an email coupon to have the 15-Layer Lasagna for only $6. Short version - it's not worth a trek to Ybor. The place was clean, the decor is homey, food was decent, service was decent enough. It appears they don't order enough supplies during specials so, if you're going, go early. Very long version below. Upon arrival, we checked in at the desk and were given a 20-25 minute wait time. I decided to grab a drink at the bar in the meantime. 1 bartender, 2 patrons (including me). Well, it took the better part of 15 minutes to get the 1st guy two carafes of whatever he ordered and 5 empty lowballs. Then the bartender decided to pour the drinks for the customer. No one told the bartender that carafes full of ice don't pour well so, after 2 tries to pour without dropping ice and splashing the drink, he wandered off to find a strainer. Take 2 went better and the drinks got poured. Right after he finally got around to taking my order, our table was ready. Our waitress grabbed our drinks from the bar, quickly mentioning her name before running off. We waited 5 minutes before she returned to take our order. I told her we'd be having the lasagna special and she asked if I had a coupon at which point I gave her 3 copies of my email coupon. She immediately starts lecturing me on how they don't accept printed versions and I was supposed to bring in the original newspaper page. I told her I got the coupon in my email. She backpedals with "Oh, well, we don't accept multiple copies anyway." I explain very nicely that normally I would not have printed multiple copies (I dabble in non-extreme couponing and I know better.) but the coupon did not say if the coupon extended to my entire party nor did it specify that I should not make multiple copies so I erred on the side of caution. She then makes it seem like she will do be the glorious favor of getting the lasagna for my whole table at the special price. Whatever. I ask for 2 orders of appetizer ravioli - the chef, I'm told, is running behind on this item and it might have to come out with my meal. Seriously?! I order 3 lasagnas "one alfredo version. 1 Italian Wedding, 1 house salad, and 1 Caesar". Now she's completely lost trying to write this down and needs to clarify which side goes with which lasagna. I'm thinking to myself 'if they came on the same plate, I wouldn't have ordered it that way.' I make the unnecessary clarification and she leaves, saying she'll be right back with bread. Right back takes another 5 minutes but it does come with the unexpected ravioli. Woohoo! Except they're out of marinara sauce so it's served with alfredo. I love alfredo (the lafredo lasagna was mine) but ravioli really needs marinara in my opinion so, even though we got the ravioli sooner than expected, we now have to wait to eat it until we can dip it in the marinara on the lasagna. Sigh. This trip also came with the promised bread but they're out of bread bowls so it came on a salad plate - so bread plates or a bread knife but we can work around that, I guess. Thanks for the food and, by the way, can I have some extra lemons? Sure. And it only takes another 3 minutes to get them. Which apparently worked out because a few minutes later, the waitress brings me a glass of water (that I had to specifically ask for) telling me that they're out of lemons. LMBO! At this point, we're glad we got our lasagna when we did because they'll probably run out of that next. They're only open for another hour so no big deal, right? After that, the waitress gets super attentive and is swinging by the table every 3 minutes to ask if we're enjoying our meal. We take turns politely saying yes each time (each of the 3 of us had at least 1 chance). By the time the manager swings by to ask, I'm ready to throw my bread at him. All in all, the three of us had 3 entrees, 2 appetizers, 1 dessert, 1 cocktail and 2 regular drinks for less than $50 including the tip. Not the worst meal I've ever had but not the best either. Couldn't have beat the price. As usual, I'll see them again in 3-4 years for my next round of so-so food and service once I've forgotten about this round.

Horrible. Avoid at all costs. First thing I noticed when we walked in was the smell... think dirty mop. I would have left right then but was part if a group. Waitress never introduced herself and never even smiled. She never asked if we needed anything, had to ask for a refill on water. Ordered 2 appetizers which took 40 mins to get. Salads came out before the apps which were nothing impressive. Their house ranch was thin and not much flavor (watered down?) Artichoke dip was like it came from a frozen bag that just needed reheating. Bread that was brought to the table was still doughy. When our meals finally got to the table (over an hour & 15 mins after we arrived) my stuffed manicotti was lukewarm, much of the noodles were dried hard and the sauce tasted like it can from a jar. The fettucini alfredo my boyfriend ordered: the sauce had no flavor, noodles were rubbery, and the chicken was extremely dry. Anne said her chicken parm was over cooked and she didn't eat the spaghetti portion. Mike ate the most of his plate but he was the most hungry. Next day, Mike was sick. My boyfriend mentioned his poor chicken to our waitress. The one thing she did right was offer to have another piece grilled up. But he was afraid it would take 40 mins so declined. Waitress said she'd tell the manager immediately. We never saw the manager. Waitress asked if we wanted boxes when she brought the check bc we all left so much food (no way!) She let us know her manager let her take $2 off the bill bc of the bad chicken. (Woopty doo!) Bad service. Bad food. Bad management.

The $10 sangria for two was delicious! Our server at first was a little dry but he got better as we spent time there. Each time I've been the food has been amazing and the manager always came by the table and spoke with us which I think is very important. No parking lot, but it's in Ybor so that's expected.

What can I say??? I have never had a bad experience here. My son is in an Electric Car Club at school. They had their year end dinner here last night. So my son my Mom and I went. My son always gets the 15 layer lasagna (which he finishes every time, kids and their metabolism) I got the baked pepperoni spaghetti and it was awesome. What's even better is on Wednesday they have $5 dinners which is entree, unlimited soup or salad and bread. Plus the server was really good. We had a party of about 50 people and our service Larry did a good job. You could see in his face he was overwhelmed and really nervous, but nothing came out wrong and with any issues. The only comment I would make is just for the wait staff to just relax and everything will be OK. I will be back here for sure.

If it was possible to give them no stars I would. I was just there 07/26/14 and the service & food was deplorable. The table we were sat at was dirty. The air duct above our table was leaking water onto the table. Thank god it didnt get into our food or drinks. After we were moved at our request, the waitress for the section ignored us, someone else took our order. Then once we got our food, the 15 layer lasagna was disgusting! Like tomato paste was dumped on top. So I sent it back & the manager delivered my chicken Caesar salad & didn't say a word to me. The chicken on the salad was so dry. The only thing good about that place was the salad dressing. I will never go back there & for health reasons I would recommend no one eat there either!!!!

This was my first time visiting Spaghetti Warehouse. It is located in a brick building in Ybor. The Husband used to come here all the time when he was a kid, so he wanted to show me a part of his past. It is old school Italian. The staff is friendly. We opted for the $25 3 Course meal for 2. (Limited time offer.) You choose a shareable appetizer, then 2 Caesar salads, and 2 entrees. All of this is served with a warm sourdough roll with a side of delectable herb butter. That's a lot of food for $25. We liked the bruschetta, the salads were tasty, and both of spaghetti dishes (traditional with meatballs and a very spicy Kung Pao Chicken) were yummy. Well worth the trip.

This was our third time visiting SW and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good, our server was great and was quick replenish our drinks. We definitely will go back :) Also, there was 5 of us in our party, for five meals and a pitcher of the sangria the bill was at $110. For me that seemed more than reasonable.

Oh Spaghetti Warehouse what happened to you. For over 5 years, each time I was in the Tampa area I always made it a point to visit you. However, during the 4th of July weekend, my visit brought sadness. The food was cold, bland and just not what it used to be. Maybe it was an off night but I do not think I will be coming back. There's just a lot of other places in the area to experience.

Ate at one of these in D.C. years ago. Was great and wanted to give this location a try. Skeptic of average reviews though. Well, let's say I won't be returning. Lasagna was not even close to advertisement. A whole lot of piled up marinara sauce was covering it. Nothing special to the taste. Nothing 15 layer, fresh about it. Spaghetti with browned butter sauce was not browned. More like thin amout of melted butter. Garlic bread was stale and forgettable. Ended up with 2 waiters. First one was over busy and difficult to get servive from. Second one that took over was recovering from a hangover with eyes glazed and sweat, speaking with a slur. We did pay and requested manager. It was our duty to let her know the food was unacceptable. Good luck if you go. Maybe that time you order, you'll had unknowingly caught the cooks making something fresh.

I don't think I could have picked a worse place to eat here in Tampa. I would rather eat ass, than eat at this restaurant again. The food was shit & so was the service. Do no eat here unless you're aiming for diarrhea. The moment I walked in this restaurant I knew I was fucked. One look at the waiting staff and you'll want to stab yourself for choosing such a shit hole. The food here was absolute ass. The only regret I have is that I can't give this restaurant a -2/5. I ordered spaghetti & meatballs and got spaghetti and onions. I think they literally gave me balls of onions it tasted like ass.

I really waffled between two and three stars for Spaghetti Warehouse. Judged against Italian food as a whole, Spaghetti Warehouse is a solid two stars - but I do think one has to take into account that this is a large chain restaurant and the insanely good deals they offer on a regular basis. Perhaps my experiences have been a bit slanted since I am always there for one deal or another. I've sampled a number of their spaghetti dishes and found the pasta to be consistently well cooked with a little bite. The tomato sauces are good, but nothing amazing. I really enjoyed the time I went with chili on the spaghetti, which surprised me as I am not a huge fan of chili on pasta. Others have mentioned the really good sourdough bread and - Yes, it is pretty amazing. On our visits, the service has been adequate though we have had to keep an eye out for our server to get drink refills. Overall - good, middle of the road pasta options and flavors I enjoy much more than some other chain Italian options. Also, you really can't beat their deals.

Lasagna cold sent back spaghetti was cold sent back. At 345 on a Saturday Feb 14 are you serious. Soufflé cup with butter for bread had water in it. Caesar salad lettuce was wet so dressing was thinned out and 1 crouton. Walked out but paid for our coke beverages.

Stopped by here while in Tampa for the day. VERY DISAPPOINTING. First my wife's drink had garbage in the glass, not a small part, it was about 2 inches and hidden under the ice. Second, my lunch was so hot, I think it was heated in a microwave. I had chicken parm. It was just nasty. Lastly, my son wouldn't eat the spaghetti. It was hard. Such a shame this place is going down.

3.5 stars! Never would have thought this was an Italian restaurant from the outside! I loved the warehouse building being turned into a restaurant and how the interior is built with an old fashioned appeal. The brick walls definitely fits in with Ybor City! Service was great! I forget the name of our waiter but he was extremely attentive and polite. He constantly checked up on us, bringing us refills on drinks and fresh baked sourdough bread with garlic butter. The bread and garlic butter were oh so good! I could have eaten the bread and butter all by myself! They really do accommodate large groups for a reasonable price. For a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, we ordered the Sicilian Sampler. It was the perfect sampler for the group! We got to experience a little bit of everything. You get to choose four options from the following: Toasted Ravioli, Mozzarella Fritta, Fried Zucchini, Calamari, Stuffed Mushrooms, or Bruschetta. The calamari was really good! The bruschetta was OK, nothing special. For the main entrée, we ordered two Italian Feast. We should have just stuck to one instead because it was A LOT of food leftover. The platter came with Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna, Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce, Ravioli with Alfredo Sauce, Sweet Italian pork sausages, handmade meatballs and garlic bread! Oh and not to mention that the entrees are served with your choice of a Garden Salad or Soup (similar to the Olive Garden). I only got to try the spaghetti with tomato sauce, 7 layer lasagna, chicken Parm, and meatballs, all of which were pretty good. Although it is a chain restaurant, our group enjoyed our meal. I would probably come here again if back in Tampa.

I really likes the feel of this place with cool furniture and real train to dine in. The food itself is not the best Italian food. But on Wednesday night it is $5 entree night which is what makes this place great. It is located in Ybor Square. The whole block was made over 100 years ago lots of brick and cool things A church took over the main building and did an amazing job restoring it. Over all a fun night. Great photo opportunity.

The food is good as always but the service and the speed of service was lacking. My wife and I ordered a very simple meal that should only take 5-7 minutes took almost 30 minutes. When the waitress was asked she basically said hurry up and wait. Watching other tables who entered after you getting served first is unacceptable and inexcusable.

Went on a Sunday afternoon as a first time visitor. They weren't busy and seating was immediate. I had a coupon for a free spaghetti meal that included sourdough bread, garden or Caesar salad, and came wIth 3 meatballs. Wife ordered Lasagne. Overall, we walked out satisfied that what we ate was worth what we paid, although the spag sauce was basIc at best. Service was excellent (Christina).

Every year when chaperoning a theatre festival we have our Annual Spaghetti Warehouse Dinner. This year we hadn't made reservations (which we usually do due to having 30+ students) due to the poor weather, but once it cleared up and we decided to go they were thankfully able to take us. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. The food came out fast and we were all happy with the portions and taste of our food. The decor of the restaurant is really nice and rustic. There's a lot of vintage signs and posters as well as a real trolley in the middle of the restaurant (which we dined in). All in all its worth the prices and a real nice place to eat.

Bread and herb butter excellent. Salad ok a little warm and overdressed. Had the spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Sausage had decent flavor and was sweet. A little dry and tough. Meatballs we ok but lacked a distinct flavor. The sauce was the biggest disappointment. Nothing about it will make it memorable and it was a bit watery. A terrific atmosphere which reminded me of an old Ybor City. Overall this just gets a 3. Pretty ho hum.

This place was weird. The waiter was exceptionally helpful and yet not. He gave us a "tour" of the menu (whether we wanted it or not) but we couldn't understand most of what he was saying. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and a salad with blue cheese dressing. He made a point of saying the blue cheese and ranch were made in house. The dressing was okay in taste though I didn't see any chunks, so disappointing there. Worse was the size; it was at least a third smaller than what you'd get at most restaurants. They put it in a large plate and it looked tiny. If they'd have put it in a smaller bowl at least it would have looked bigger! Taste was okay. The waiter came by to tell us our food would be out in 3 minutes. 5 minutes later he came by to tell us it would be out soon. A couple minutes later it came out. The actual total wait time wasn't bad but it was a good example of how much he kept trying to be helpful but failing at it. Like later when he asked if we needed anything and we said more bread and another coke. 5 minutes later he came by and asked the same thing, and we said yes, just the coke and bread we asked for the last time! The spaghetti with meat sauce tasted fine. No complaints with that, but again I was surprised a little at the portion. We're used to getting large pasta servings in American restaurants and this place bucked that trend. Again, maybe if the plate didn't make it look smaller than it was? One friend with me ordered cheese ravioli from the appetizer menu for his meal and got this weird baked thing with dipping sauces that resembled oddly shaped mozzarella sticks. He wasn't happy about that but I guess they tasted okay. My other friend ordered seafood marinara, expecting some shrimp and seafood chunks. What he got was spaghetti with this very weird sauce that was an unappealing color and had no chunks of anything. He asked the waiter and the waiter said yes, that's it, the seafood is blended into the sauce. It was really odd. So for a casual Italian restaurant this place did almost everything oddly. The fresh seeming sourdough bread was probably the best thing we had there. So stick to the basics and double check with your server what the dish is when you order it or else find another place to eat. Unless you like surprises. The place wasn't horrible so I can't give it 1 star but I wouldn't give it more than 2 based on our overall experience there.

  • Christina C.

Had a groupon which is the only reason we went. Ordered chicken parm, pasta with sausage and a kids pizza. For both dishes the pasta was warmer than the meats and the pizza looked like a frozen pizza reheated. Our fault for not sending it back but we were hungry and wanted to leave. Service was mediocre, she did not seem to enjoy working there especially on New Year's Eve which was even mentioned to us. Oh well you eat, you review and you don't return!

  • Ashley B.

This place isn't amazing, but it is good. And you get tons of food for your money. Especially if you have a coupon, which are super easy to find. The food is average and the service is normally good. This place never seems to be crowded, but it could be because of the maze layout. They also do a great job with large groups. Overall, a good experience.

I can't say this review is based on the food, as we never even got seated on what was a slow Saturday night. We walked around Ybor for about an hour working up a hunger and walking into the lobby, there was one couple ahead of us at the Hostess station. She told them there was a 10 min wait, although there were already about 3 couples waiting in the lobby. The hostess took one couple to their table and we could see at least 6 empty and clean tables where everyone waiting could have been seated... maybe they didn't have the wait staff on hand to serve all those empty tables. Another host shows up and tells us 25 minute wait and I said, "Ummm... she just told them 10 and what's with all the open tables". He mumbled something unintelligible and said 15. I took a seat at the lobby bar while the wife went to the powder room and when she came out, I'd been sitting there 5 minutes and the bartender still had yet to acknowledge me although there was only the couple before us sitting at the bar. After serving their drinks, the bartender still did not even look our way and he then went off to the service well were he was not making drinks but just BSing with someone we couldn't see. After another 3 minutes, he still hadn't looked our way so we walked out. We'll never go back and what's a shame is I have always loved this Chain in other cities I've visited. STAY AWAY FROM TAMPA/YBOR's SW!!

I've found that finding a good chain italian restaurant is extremely difficult. Spaghetti Warehouse always manages to come through. The prices are very reasonable here. It is not going to be cheap, expect around 10-12 dollars for a meal. The pasta is extremely good, and the lasagna is extremely tasty. They constantly add new dishes and specials to the menu and you can bet on there being some special anytime you go. The service is always good and very rarely will you have anything less then excellent service. My only complaint with the restaurant is the parking situation. Unfortunately because it is in Ybor, you will have to park in a garage and you will be paying for parking. If it wasn't for the parking situation, this would be a five star restaurant all day long

My ex and I affectionately nicknamed this place "Spag". We had lots of casual date nights here, and it didn't disappoint. First of all, I love the location. It feels like historic Ybor just walking from the garage down the brick lined alley and being greeted around the corner by Spag's twinkling lights. It's quiet and away from all of the party madness in Ybor City. Inside, it's cute. A main room that leads off to two other rooms- one along big windows and the other with a train inside, and yes, they have tables to sit at inside the train. They have a pretty big menu with lots of options and very reasonable prices for the portions. Some things are better than others and the lasagna and minestrone soup are always favorites. I've been here for date night, birthday dinners, and girls night out. Spag fits the bill for any occasion.

I feel like this is the subway of Italian restraunts. 4 different pasta dishes were ordered at my table and they all tasted the same. Not a bad place to bring a family, but I wouldn't recommend as a date night place.

Was craving spaghetti and meatballs. Thought this place would do the trick. Flavor and meat wasn't all there. Macaroni Grill has a better spaghetti and meatball dish, imo. Their pinot grigio tasted watered-down for some reason. For app, I got the Bruschetta, which was spot on. Overall, pretty neat atmosphere. I could see this being a nice first date place. Definitely can recreate scene from Lady and the Tramp. For the price, it's a ehh-mehh. Worth a try if you haven't been. I was just expecting a bit more flavor and meat for a classic dish. So this really is a spaghetti and meatballs review.

First time here. Liked the historical value of the building. Could use a good cleaning though. No one at the hostess stand even though the place looked deserted, except for the back room with patrons for the mystery dinner. Took way too long to get our drinks ordered. Our waitress was ok but didn't have a very good memory. She forgot to bring plates so we could eat our appetizer. The Caesar salad was drowning in Caesar. We ordered the big dinner for 2. Definitely was a lot of food for the price. It was ok. Nothing spectacular. Not sure why they stick a ridiculous little Italian flag in the lasagna. What really irked me and my bf was that he specifically asked that the sausage be served on a separate plate so as not to co-mingle with anything else I planned to eat. She said sure. Well it was smack dab in the middle of the plate surrounding the gluten free spaghetti i requested. Needless to say i didn't eat that. Don't plan to return.

Have eaten there several times and generally enjoyed it. Good menu options for standard Italian fare. Parking is difficult on the street and the restaurant seems to stay busy, so there may be a waiting line. Prices are reasonable, and quality is good without being memorable. Have not yet tried Bernini, but for Italian in Ybor, Laughing Cat sets a high standard.

This was my first time here. And it was a very good first impression. It is a hidden restaurant on the outskirts of the clubs in ybor. Well worth the prices. It has the feel of a mom and pops genuine italian eatery. We ate inside the streetcar. Food was flavorful, piping hot. and the portions are HUGE! Definitely visit this place. Its well worth it.

Food was good, not great. Staff was friendly and on top of their game considering it was a Friday night. We order the Italian dinner for two and some bruschetta as an appetizer. It came with lasagna, spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, raviolis and some pork. Plenty of food for just the two of us. we will probably go back again because the place has such a nice vibe. Overall, I've had better Italian food but I don't have any complaints.

While the food is consistently tasty, Monica made our dinner exciting and memorable. We will come back again because of her thoughtfulness, humor, and service. I have not been to this place in ages. I love the ample amount of food that you get and the hospitable service. It's been about 7-8 years for me and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I always leave with a doggie bag or just plain stuffed and the food quality never changes. If I wanted to get fat again, this is the place I would hang out at on a regular basis. Muy bellissimo

To be truthful the only time I will come back here is if I happen to be in the area. But don't let that discourage you from trying this place out. The food here is alright I would not call in the best Italian food I would rate some of Olive Gardens food as being better. But give this a place a try you may have a different opinions on the food.

I have been to this establishment more times than I can remember. When I was younger and accompanied my mom to work, we would have lunch here. My favorite was the sourdough bread. Perhaps it is still my favorite. Most recently I went to a friend's birthday dinner at this establishment. They can accommodate large groups well and the prices were reasonable. For my group, the cost per person was $10 including soft drink, salad, bread and choice of entree. It was a pretty good deal. If you have a limited diet such as mine (no four legged animals) it can be a challenge. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and just had the sauce and no meatballs. The sauce is very good and the pasta was a little too soft. My boyfriend and several others had the 7 layer lasagna. They all loved it. The fettuccine alfredo didn't get rave reviews from anyone. I look forward to another visit. I've had several that were better but this visit had a limited menu (not their fault). What saddens me is the lack of patronage. On a Saturday night, the line should be out of the door. So many things change in Ybor and this has been a mainstay. I really hope this place will be around for me to take my child for lunch one day.

I had only been to SW one time before last night and I remember it being only okay that time too. We went last night because I scored a decent groupon ($20 for $40 worth of food.) Nothing we ate was bad, but nothing overwhelmed us either. We got the starter sampler with fried ravioli, fried zucchini, mozzarella, and calamari to start. It was only okay--the breading on everything was soggy in a way that suggests it sat in the window for a few minutes before being served, or wasn't fried long enough. I ordered the wild mushroom and chicken pasta for my entree. The "wild" mushrooms were canned, and the chicken was just a pale breast dumped on the pasta. The menu toted artichoke hearts and red pepper, but the only artichokes present were two chunky pieces (canned, unseasoned, bland), and no red peppers were present anywhere. The dish was pretty disappointing. My husband ordered the eggplant parm which looked good and he said tasted fine. We ordered desserts to go (tirimisu and cheesecake) which were your standard shipped-in fare; neither dessert appeared to be homemade. The service wasn't terrible, but it was very slow despite being Sunday night with only four tables in the restaurant. She wasn't unfriendly, but I got the feeling maybe we were her last table and she was annoyed to have to wait on us (it was 7 when we arrived, and the restaurant closed at 10.) Everything came out okay though, and she did keep our drinks refilled consistently which is always a plus. All in all, this is an okay restaurant, and we will probably return with a similar deal but without we probably won't make the trek down.

This restaurant is located in Ybor City Tampa. When we first pass by this place it looked like if no one was in this restaurant. I had my doubts whether to get off or ride away, so glad we decided to get off. I love Italian food and I can tell you I ordered the best best 15 layer lasagna ever. The food is great and the staff is friendly the place looks like a underground warehouse. My only complain is that they took a while to seat us down. Overall love it and will definitely come here again when in Tampa.

Its been almost 2 weeks and I had to write. Monday night and not crowded. The servicer was slow. The chicken alfredo was disgusting sent it back. The shrimp and sausage was skimpy on the good stuff and heavy on the greasy pasta, yuck!!

I know, cheesy and whatnot. But it's really cute and doesn't feel like a tourist trap due to the historic infrastructure. Food is actually kinda good and I'd give it ups compared to its peers.

It seems the spaghetti warehouse is going down hill. We used to love this place but our last visit was disappointing. I ordered the harvest chicken salad. The chicken was tough and had fatty pieces. The dressing was blah. Our friend ordered the Caesar salad which she said was not flavorful. The kids ordered Mac and cheese and neither one of them liked it. The cheese was chunky and gritty. They still make good sangria but they need to reevaluate their menu.

Went here with my girlfriend. We got the ultimate feast for two. It was an incredible amount of food. Spaghetti, ravioli, sausage, chicken parmesan, garlic bread, 2 giant meatballs, 15 layer lasagna, and a small house salad. It was incredible, I love Italian food and this place is near the top of my list. I will definitely come here again. Our meal was $34 with tip, and was well worth it.

Recently ate here with a friend for her birthday. I was nervous at first because it was kind of empty and quiet. But we were greeted and sat right away. The drinks were great, the bruschetta appetizers were AMAZING. And the entrees were great as well. The price was decent for italian food. And what topped everything was the server. He was so sweet and friendly. He really sold the deal for me. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name. Maybe Micheal... But I say check this place out if you're in town.

This place is located in Ybor City, but buried behinds many other things such as a community college, clubs, and Centro Ybor. Even so, the Spaghetti Warehouse may be one of the nicest places I have been too in a while. The interior is built with an old fashioned appeal, including a paper that talks about the disastrous Earthquake that hit San Francisco in 1989. There is an arcade on the side with a few games and the building is made of brick giving it a fancy look. The food is delicious and their Italian cuisine features variety and quality. The bread they bring you before you eat will delight you, as will the garlic butter that accompanies it. I had the Mushroom and Artichoke pasta (that is not what it was called) and was highly satisfied with my meal. The prices are especially low for dinner as well. Most meals come with soup or salad, similar to the Olive Garden, I had the salad with some thousand island sauce. It was delicious! The waiters are friendly and so are the customers who are eager to use and give away coupons to people they encounter while in the restaurant. We were encountered by about 4 different groups of people eating there that wanted to share their coupons.

An nice food spot in Ybor if you are willing to walk a few blocks away from Centro Ybor. The decor is very interesting and the menu has plenty to choose from. I have never been disappointed with my meals here.

I have never had good food at Spaghetti Warehouse. The decor is neat and the location is nice, with friendly servers, but the food- ick! Maybe I've just "un"-lucked out, but I've wanted to love this place, but alas maybe it wasn't meant to be. The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the service.

. My friend I used "yelp" to find a near by restaurant and we chose Spaghetti Warehouse. The restaurant is very spacious, I was very astound by how huge the place was. The employees were very nice almost all of them greeted us. The price of the food was about average. The wedding soup was very well seasoned, I enjoyed it a lot I ordered the 15 layer lasagna, a tad bit too saucey for me,but it was ok, I wouldn't really order it again if I went back. What's a restaurant visit without seeing the bathroom. Based on how huge the place was I was expecting to see a nice spacious bathroom, but it was small and unpleasant. I was just shock.

The food was mediocre at best, it took 5+ min for a server to come to the table and greet us or get a drink order, and it took a very long time to get our basic pasta meals. On the plus side, the server was very nice and they comp'd the desert because we had to wait so long for the food.

We ate here on Father's Day (June 15th, 2013) to take advantage of the free lasagna for fathers. We had a 90-minute wait, and we decided to actually wait, because, well, we had nothing else to do. I'm pretty sure our server's name was Larry. I just wanted to let someone know how exceptional he was that day. It was busier than the restaurant anticipated, and I could tell by that evening that the staff was pretty tired. They were doing their best to stay focused on their tasks at hand. There was some confusion about where to seat us, but the hostesses did finally get us a table. Somehow they almost skipped over our name, but my dad caught it before things went awry. Anyway, Larry really stood out. He was quick and to the point. I could tell he probably hadn't had much of a break that day, and he was a real trouper. He even comically told us that the kitchen was about to get slammed, so if we could put in our order pronto, he could get us our food faster! We'd had 90 minutes to familiarize ourselves with the menu, so we were ready to order. I don't know how many other tables he had that night, but he did a great job keeping up with our table, and I would like someone to recognized him for his outstanding customer care with all odds against him!

I would never come again. Me and three friends came and did the 2 for $25. We got the lasagna and chicken alfredo, it looked like they were microwavable meals put on our plate. No seasoning, nothing, it was tasteless.

This place is alright. I would rather make spaghetti at home. The sangria is delicious tho.

Was definitely not impressed. my husband and I got there and waited for about ten minutes before anyone came to seat us. When we got seated it smelled like a dirty rag. We like the old decor, but was not impressed with the food at all. Probably won't go back.

I can make spaghetti better myself. I'm not sure if it was because I was in a large group and it was a little later, but service was slow and food was horrible. Everyone around me had some complaint. I at least thought with the time it took to get my food the ravioli dish I ordered would have been fully cooked. The noodles were half uncooked. Also, the chicken a friend ordered was way too dry.

ok I have been told over and over to try this place. So we went for lunch on Sat. we sat down the waiter came and I was looking at the lunch menu and asked him several questions regarding the items on the lunch menu so I order the speg. and meatballs, by husband order the lasagna and my kids order speg. I had the wedding soup and it was very good and my husband had the mins. soup and it was also good. When the order came to the table my plate was very large and I made a comment to him this is the lunch portion its large I could of shared with my kids. The speg was good the sauce was very sweet almost too sweet but good. When the check came we were charged the dinner and I questioned it and he said they don't serve lunch on Sat. Well why didn't he say that when I was going over the lunch menu with him. If I would of known I would of share with the kids and now I know why the plate was so large. He didn't say anything when I ordered off the lunch menu at which it was given to us facing the lunch menu and when I made the commet when the plate was sat down whey it was so large. Over all it was ok would I go back maybe but I have to get over the waiter trying to pull over one thinking we were ordering one thing and getting something else. Not being honest to the customer until the end it not right. So we watsed alot of food. So that is why it was just a ok. I hope that a manager of the rest. see this posting and lets his waiters know not to do this to the customers. Take Good care! Daphne

One star due to bad service, bad location (the address online was not the same via GPS), no feasible parking (handicap or regular) and a lunch portion that was literally a plate of pasta from the kid's menu. I kid you not. The lasagna tasted like stouffer, my husband order soup and salad combo.....never did receive his soup and a waitress with a serious attitude. Never again. The only thing interesting was watching the Scientologists across the courtyard. One star only because the sourdough bread rocks, however the waitress would not deliver the second loaf until having to be asked twice....I told you bad service.

Overrated italian. Wait staff and or kitchen is almost always very slow, and honestly sbarros lasagna and pies are better. Been there about 3-4 times in the past few yrs, tried it again 6 mos ago or so and nothing changed for the better.

I went for the chicken Alfredo, I was not impressed with this dish, the pasta was mushy and obviously over cooked and they don't give garlic bread with the pastas. They do give you a loaf before hand with garlic butter, but nothing with your meal. These were my only complaints. My daughter had the "15 layer lasagna" that was delicious because I just finished her leftovers! Even though I must say it did not look like 15 layers at all! My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and that too was delicious! What we really enjoyed most was our sampler appetizer, calamari, ravioli, bruschetta, and mozzarella square things were freaking awesome! We shared a piece of tiramisu for dessert and that was sweet and soft and yummy! service was good, except our waiter acted like i had two heads when i asked for shaved Parmesan instead of grated. Our bill was $60 for three, including appetizer and dessert and soft drinks, not bad at all! I will definitely be going back but skipping on the Alfredo, I think I will have the yummy lasagna next time!

Very prompt and friendly service by our server (Lama?) He seem genuinely happy to engage in a conversation with us, checked in with us just the right amount of times, brought our appetizer (fried zucchini, yum!) almost immediately and piping hot and subsequently spaced out the soup/salad and entree deliver perfectly afterwards. When we expressed interest in catching the 2:04 streetcar a few minutes later, he dropped everything to bring our check right then and applied our free appetizer coupon hassle-free and much to our appreciation considering we had a mobile email version. We felt relaxed and valued as individual customers in a room full of other patrons and the taste, portion, and cost of food was remarkable. On top of all that, the manager (perhaps owner?) of this particular location checked in with us twice to see how we were doing and to make sure we had everything we needed and also cleared an empty plate off the table as he finished up a brief conversation with us. Thoroughly impressed. We also give a 5 for the style/atmosphere of the restaurant since it is similar to the one we have in Syracuse and pretty much exactly what we expected. A good, relaxing, welcoming, valuable, casual dining experience. Keep it up SW - Tampa!

Wow i haven't been to this place ina while, but I love it! It has a very nostalgic atmosphere and takes you back to old Ybor. Dinner is massive and you get a lot for what you pay. I remember my fav part of the meal is the Spumonti at the end - deEEeeeEElish!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
