It was my first time at Siam Thai. This restaurant is in a plaza in Westchase across from World of Beer. I was meeting a friend and she picked Siam Thai. Service was friendly and great. Food was delicious. I had the Panang chicken lunch special, which came with a small salad with peanut dressing and rice. It was a large portion and was fantastic. My friend had the shrimp Tom Yom soup and spring rolls and loved them both. I would definitely eat here again.

I don't know what happened the night I was here but I ordered basic pad Thai and it was the worst, there was something wrong with the sauce that made me feel really sick. It was a really disappointing experience since this place is so close to my house. Also they brought out our alcohol drinks from the back where the kitchen was because they didn't seem to have a traditional bar it was weird.

What's not to like about this place? The food was very good, the restaurant was clean and although the server was overwhelmed because of a late lunch rush, she did an admirable job. We tried tom yum soup which came in a giant bowl and was delicious. I had drunken noodles with chicken which could have been a little spicier but was super fresh and tasty. My husband had a beef salad that was exceptional. Very, very fresh. Large portions.

First time having Thai from here. Have to say it was pretty darn good. I got a very hot chicken broccoli with egg roll. EGG ROLL: Have to say though, egg roll was good but not filling and kinda disappointing to that extent. flavors were fantastic. SAUCE FOR BROCCOLI W/CHICKEN or BEEF: However the rest was delicious. I was expecting a brown thicker sauce, but no, the sauce was kinda soupy. Just in case someone needs to know who is switching to this Thai place and thinks the sauce is same as from those Chinese places. It's definitely not, BUT!, you will not be disappointed. Other Friends Agree: The Food is great. My Gf food and her friends was also a great dish. Everything so far is great. Will def make it a regular for Friday nights! I would expand on the menu since the menu doesn't have much choices. that is it's only flaw and why i am only giving it a 4star.

Small place, always an open table, always super friendly staff and delicious food! Oh, and it's very clean too. And when you're done filling up on a delicious and healthy meal, you can walk across the street and erase all gains with several beers at World of Beer. Order spicy Thai noodle soup.

Was in the mood for thai food for lunch and was no where near my normal go-to thai restaurants so figured I would try Siam Thai based on the yelp reviews, and boy am I glad I did. I ordered the Chicken Panang Curry. I ordered it mild to be on the safe side since I wasn't familiar with the heat index of this establishment, and it was wonderful. The to go lunch portion was plentiful and full of fresh veggies that were cooked but not too soggy - just perfect! I will definitely order lunch again from Siam Thai and can't wait to take my hubby here for a nice night out as the dining room is small and intimate feeling.

Okay everyone loves this place but I had the worst pad Thai imaginable. Going against the grain but I have never wanted to throw up as bad as I did leaving the restaurant. The waiters were super nice but it was honestly awful.

My Yelp friends in Westchase have been raving about Siam Thai Restaurant, and I was anxious to give it a try. Thai cuisine is still new to me, and I wanted to have something different rather than the typical noodle bowl or dish of curry. This restaurant is located along Linebaugh Avenue and directly across the street from Westchase Elementary, in a little two-block stretch of restaurants and retail establishments. It's in the same little shopping area as Tijuana Flats, World of Beer, and Burger 21. The interior is decorated simply, yet elegantly with artwork and antiques, and there is a sense of peace and calm despite the busy nature of the restaurant. When I was there for dinner, every table was filled, but you never sensed that they were trying to rush you out of the door. Families were coming in and out to pick up carryout orders, and the restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there. We started with Tom Yum soup which is one of the most popular soups in Thailand. Tom Yum Soup has many health benefits, due its potent combination of herbs and spices, and in fact, this Thai soup is currently under scientific study as it appears to have immune-boosting power as a natural remedy for cold and flu viruses. Mom always said that soup is good for you! The soup is made with chicken broth, minced lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, a variety of chilies, straw mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and all kinds of spices and herbs. To that they add your choice of seafood or meat, and you end up with a delicious hot and sour soup. It had a bit of a peppery kick, which will clear your sinuses without causing you pain. For the main course we shared Siam Scallop and Shrimp which was pan-seared seafood with broccoli florets, sliced carrots and cabbage in a delicious chicken stock / garlic broth with a bowl of sticky white rice. Delicious dinner that was reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back to try some other dishes.

Amazing food, SUPERB service!!! I absolutely 100% recommend this establishment hands down to any other in West Park Village.

The decor was nice, service was pretty good (the servers and other staff were all in sweat pants or very casual clothes which I found odd). We were the only ones in the restaurant and food came out very quickly - not sure how fresh everything is. It all tasted good nothing stood out or was amazing - It was just average Thai food.

Delicious Thai food and almost great experience ruined by poor service. The server who calls himself 'Sam' started our order w a poor attitude when asked if a sub of white rice w brown rice cost any extra, and then never showed up all throughout the time we were there. We were seated right by the kitchen and we could feel the cold vibes from him and the comments he may have made about our order, as soon he spoke w another girl she came to our table with a smile and asked us if we need more assistance. Not a good idea to talk about customers right where they can hear or see you. Anyways we chose to ignore that as we were extremely delighted by the taste and presentation of the food we ordered. Tom yum soup, coconut soup, Penyang curry with brown rice and white, pad Thai and a mango sticky rice pudding to seal the meal. Overall 4.5 stars for food and 1 star for service and that's still more considering how great thai restaurant service is well know.

I've eaten here several times since it's in the neighborhood and I've never been disappointed. Always fresh, quick and tasty. The husband doesn't love thai as much as I do, otherwise we would be eating here more often. Priced quite similar to the other thai restaurants in the area, and always clean, this restaurant always delivers a great meal. Some of my favorites are the drunken noodles and the cashew shrimp. Delish.

Thai food is still very new to me, and I'm not exactly sure if I love it or just find it slightly odd. This was my first time trying Pad Thai, which everyone has told me is a good "starter Thai" dish. It was good, but again, I'm not sure I'm totally sold on Thai flavors quite yet. I actually thought it tasted better the next day and doused with a little soy sauce. Speaking of eating it the next day- the portions are insane. The beef Pad Thai was $9.95 and I got three meals out of it! And I'm no wimpy eater. Great value and quality for the price. The decor is beautiful and the service is quick and polite. Although I'm not 100% sold on Thai food just yet, I'm looking forward to coming back soon and trying one of their curries!

My sweet husband and I decided to try Siam Garden tonight and we are so glad that we did. It was excellent. I had the chicken panang curry and my hubby tried the seafood medley with panang sauce. Now I have to caveat that the crab in the seafood medley was actually "krab" so that was a bit disappointing but the large piece of fried fish more than made up for it. We tried the steamed dumplings and chicken Tom ka soup and thought they were just wonderful. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was large enough to dampen the loudness of inebriated patrons. We'll definitely be back to try some other dishes.

The food was good. The waiter, who appears to be an owner (a gay Thai dude), was personable and funny. I discovered when I got home several hours later that he INTENTIONALLY overcharged me. He assumed that I was a typical Asian guy on a first date who would whip out a credit card and pay without looking in order to impress his date. He was right, other than the 1st date. Drinks with two ingredients were invoiced as two separate drinks. Entrees with sides were invoiced as two separate entrees. Advice: double check your tab people. This goes particularly for Asian guys, who are notorious for paying without looking at the tab.

Really good fresh food, we took our dinner to go and it was still fantastic when we made it home and great sized portions gave me enough leftovers for lunch the next day. word of advice the medium still has quite the kick of spice.

Almost number one. Well with west chase being a bit too trendy for me I was hesitant to make the journey from Wesley chapel but our search for a backup Thai joint warranted a drive and a try. I'm glad we did because the food was excellent and the pricing was the best we have seen so far. Portions were good. We started with fried dumplings served with a tart soy sauce and a chicken Tom Ka soup. Crispy and tasty describe the dumplings and the Tom Ka had the perfect blend of sweet and tart. Now for the main dish my beautiful wife had chicken panang curry and I had the panang seafood medley that contained two types of fish, shrimp, scallops, mussels, squid, and crabmeat. Spoiler Alert! The crabmeat is actually K crab. Fake crab that had an awful texture. With such a high end meal you shouldn't downgrade you entree with fake crabmeat and fake squid. Now the panang sauce was the most flavorful panang sauce I have ever tasted. I wish the sauce was a bit thicker so it would stick to the food but man what a treat the panang sauce was tonight. Most panang sauces are overbearing peanut taste this sauce had an abundance of flavors and perfectly balanced. Well done! Dessert was banana delight with wonton wrapped banana slices and a delicious coconut ice cream. Now my feedback for improvement would be to properly staff the place. It was tough to get wait staff to pay appropriate attention to patrons they need 2x the staff they are presently working with. The chef is serving good and busing tables the hostess is taking orders. It's chaos at best. This place is a strong 4 stars and worth the drive.

I'm no Thai food expert, but what I can tell you is that the SPRING ROLLS, PAD THAI and POT STICKERS were scrumtulescent! In fact, the PAD THAI was even better the next day as a left over dish. The place was quaint and romantic even. The service was friendly and on point. Food came out rather quickly, and I can't wait to get back to try their other dishes. I included some pics!

What a gem! Westchase residents have a lot of dining choices right within their borders, and for the most part they are pretty good. I am not a Thai cuisine connoisseur so I can't comment about authenticity. But for a non-Thai national, Siam Thai is a great little spot. It's located in West Park Village, walking distance from the town center. It's a quaint little place that you are likely to drive by and pay it no notice. I parked right in front of it intending to go to Tijuana Flats. But the word "Thai" on the door got my attention. The place inside is very nice and cozy (see pics). The food was outstanding. I had the best fried wontons I've ever had. I ordered chicken garlic stir fry "hot", my wife ordered pineapple fried rice. The food was served promptly, the presentation was fantastic, and if had great taste. "Hot" wasn't too hot for me, so the waitress suggested I try ordering "Thai hot" next time. Can't wait. If you are looking for a good quality Thai experience in a nice little restaurant, give Siam Thai a try. I'm a fan.

Love this place. I crave their curry. They give you lots of rice and big chunks of veggies. Very good value for the cost. You can also get take out quickly but the inside is nicely done with lots of room.

This is the closest Thai restaurant to my house so I eat here often. It's not the best Thai I've ever had, but it's good. It's always served hot and quick, and it's spicy when I ask for it to be. My go-to is the chicken in garlic sauce, which has never let me down. A good option for take-out or lunch. Not necessarily where I would choose for a night out. The interior is small and interesting. The staff is always friendly. Like I said, good food. Good service. Nothing too special. Dependable.

Siam Thai has become one of my favorite go to places for lunch or dinner. It may be difficult to find if you're not familiar with the Westchase area as it is hidden behind the main drive next to Maloney's. Like many others, I came across their restaurant by chance and noticed the Thai sign as I was walking by. I have not had a wide variety of real authentic Thai dishes, so I cannot comment on their authenticity of the dishes. I can say that I find them very flavorful and fresh tasting. I have tried many of their dishes and have not had a disappointing meal yet. Their Tom Yum soup is very good, and while their won ton soup is a little bland I personally find it very good and refreshing. What I really like about this restaurant is you can order most dishes with various types of meats. My favorite combination so far has been the spring rolls for an appetizer, chicken wonton soup and their Panang curry with beef. Their hot jasmine tea goes great with the meal as well. My only complaint is I don't find their food to be spicy enough. Thai food is normally very spicy and at Siam Thai I have to order the dishes "Thai Hot", which is their hottest level, then ask for their hot spice tray to add some more heat. Their spice tray has 4 different types of spices which range from mild, sweet and sour, salty or hot. Service here has always been outstanding. The staff has been very attentive, friendly and always checking to ensure everything is satisfactory.

I decided to try the squid salad with some hot sake. Pretty yum. The service here is always good, and their spring rolls are on point. Sucks that they have to share a thumping wall with Malloney's. Throbbing club beat aside I think the most notable single feature of this place is that it's centrally located, so on a Friday night before hitting the town, you can be quickly served some slurpable noodles without making a huge production, and kick-start the weekend.

Yes indeed I am a fan, its on my lunch rotation. And why shouldn't it be, look how many yelpers eat here its like our personal lunch venue. I have yet to have bad food or bad service, parking is a challenge for any of the restaurants in this complex. Someone give the developer a shining single star for making everyone experience here just ridiculous. try the Panang curry, try anything you won't be disappointed.

All curries are delicious! Fresh spring rolls are the best I have ever had. Wonton soup has fresh veggies in it. You can't beat it!

Tasty Thai food that I am glad to have close to home. I like the curry dishes, drunken noodles, spring rolls and especially the Tom Yum soup - delicious! I like their booth seating with cushions where you are kind of sitting on the floor. Friendly service and great for take-out, too.

I came here with my brother and mother on a Monday afternoon for lunch. There seemed to be only one person working as both hostess and server so service was slow at times. She also had to take calls and take care of take-out orders. We ordered the Seafood Panang Curry, Chicken Green Curry and Beef Baby Corn Saute. It was reasonable prices and came relatively fast after we were able to place our order. My mom and brother enjoyed their Thai coffee and Thai tea respectively. I would have preferred if the rice they served wasn't overcooked and mushy. I loved how you could taste the coconut in the rice though. All lunch entrees are served with salad and dessert so I thought that was a nice touch. I did enjoy looking at the decor and found the bathrooms very clean. I want to come back for dinner some time and order more things before I form a final opinion of this place. Overall, it's a great lunch spot.

This is my favorite Thai spot in Tampa. I've had great service and great meals each time I've been. Try adding chicken and medium spice to any dish. It's really good.

  • Derek S.

Siam is a semi authentic Thai restaurant. We went with the Panang Curry and it was very tasty. The medium spice had just enough kick without going overboard. Two of us were able to split this dish after sharing the sampler appetizer which came with calamari, spring rolls, fried tofu, and crab Rangoon among other things. We finished our meal with mango and sticky rice that was perfectly in season. My only complaint was the $4.50 import beers but hey, charge what you can. I will be going back to Siam and if you are in the Westchase area you might as well check it out.

We have taken the family to Siam Thai several times now, and it proving to be one of our favorite Friday night go to options for restaurants. he Tom Kha, Panang & pumpkin curries, and the Pad Thai are all dynamite, which makes me struggle to choose! I also highly suggest the Nam Sod, a Thai salad made with pork and served in a delicious Yum dressing (the Yum Beef, rocks too)! The kids menu is this limited to chicken fingers and a sampler platter, boh are cooked to perfection, and we don't get complaints from our 9, 11 &14 year olds... They also serve a fried ice cram, that pretty tasty. Parking is hard to deal with as the restaurant is located just across the street from World of Beer, but that really only knocks off a half a star...

I've been here a couple of times. We live within a short walk of the restaurant, and I was hoping for so much more. It's just not very good; we have lived in Thailand and have Thai relatives. I keep hoping that they'll revamp the menu or get a new cook, but I guess that while it gets good reviews from the locals, it will stay as it is. Good enough for them, but I will continue to get in my car and drive to other parts of town.

I LOVE Siam Thai. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. I often get the Massaman Tofu, but I think I have had the Pad Thai as well. I love that they use peanuts in the Massaman instead of cashews like some places and the level of spiciness is always exactly what I'm looking for. We often go for dinner, but I also love to go for lunch since they include the salad and amazing dessert.

So... I had never had Thai food before. Friends had always raved about it, but I was afraid it was too spicy. My girlfriend finally convinced me to try it, so we came to Yelp for a suggestion. Siam Thai popped up pretty high on the list, and we absolutely love the Westchase area. It was dinner time when we arrived, so the parking was a little congested (lots of restaurants all grouped together). The restaurant itself was pretty quiet, but very clean and with prompt service. I decided to order the masaman curry with chicken, while my girlfriend got red curry with chicken. Let's just say that all my preconceived notions about Thai food were promptly tossed out the window. My dish was BURSTING with flavor! There was a tiny bit of spice (I specifically requested mild), but just enough to enhance the flavor and add a little zing. The masaman curry was a delicious combination of creamy peanut-y sauce with crisp green pepper and savory potatoes. The chicken was thinly sliced and very moist, not chewy. All the flavors simmered together beautifully and definitely gave me a surprise. My girlfriend's red curry was also yummy, having a tad more spice and a little less creaminess. I made sure to steal lots of her eggplant ;) The meal, including a small appetizer of soup, cost about $24 (we got it to go) and took only about 7-10 minutes for it to be ready. This place will definitely be added to our list of yummy places. The food is excellent, the service was speedy and polite, and the area of town is some of the best in Tampa (imo). If you're in the mood for Thai or feeling adventurous, give this place a chance!

Not great. Not horrible. Went there for a work lunch (around 11:30am). Beat the crowd. Service was friendly & food was as expected. I would go back.

The lower rating reflect only the food and the ambiance. The service was actually amazing. Our waitress was so nice and attentive to our needs. We ordered edamame and it was undercooked and under seasoned. I ordered Tom Kha Gai with chicken. The soup was again under seasoned, over heated (so it tasted slightly curdled), chicken was overcooked and the pieces were too large so I couldn't cut them with my spoon, very little ginger/lemongrass/chile flavor. I also ordered the salad which was very difficult to eat. Large uneven cuts of tomatoes and cucumbers, extra thick cut carrots that the fork wouldn't penetrate and the dressing was too sweet. My date ordered some sort of noodle dish and asked for lite on the spicy side. He was choking through the entire meal. The place was completely empty during our meal, so I guess the neighborhood are also not fans as well. Another plus, the food is inexpensive. I guess you get what you pay for.

I recently moved to this neighborhood and was looking to find my "go-to" Thai restaurant, since my favorite for the last three years was Royal Thai in South Tampa. I have to say, I was really happy with the food and service at Siam Thai!! Their Pad Thai and the Panang Chicken are amazing; I had medium level of spice on both; and the dishes were perfect. Loved it so much, have ordered take-out twice already since my first visit.

    (4)
  • Lauren V.

You know those days when you can't stop thinking about Pad Thai? This was my yesterday. Siam Thai was recommended by a friend so we decided to give it a whirl. While I can't say I was super impressed by the appetizers since I'm not usually a fan of a mouthful of cilantro, the entrees were amazing! The Pad Thai (I ordered medium heat) was sweat-inducing hot and the portions were substantial to say the least. Will definitely add this place to the rotation - if you can make my nose run while I eat, you've made me a very happy girl.

  • JC L.

In my opinion the Best Thai Food for the price in Tampa!! The food, vibe and price puts this at the top of other Thai places. The menu is your typical Thai menu that is very similar to Jasmine Thai. Try any of the curry's; they are so good that after your done eating all the food you want to pour the curry over your rice. I recommend the green curry with chicken and you have to get it double Thai hot. Since this place has opened in June, I have probably eaten there at least 20 times.

    (5)
  • Deborah M.

The food was excellent, however when they say hot, they mean business. I usually order medium and at Siam Thai medium is more like HOT, so keep that in mind when you hear the nice waitress say "how spicy?". I had the chicken curry and it just right. The atmosphere was very cozy and the decor was authentic Thai elements. Price points are reasonable and the service was great.

  • Cathy W.

Decent food but the service is indifferent at best. I was asked not once but twice if I was there alone. I understand wanting to serve an entire party but making me feel weird about eating solo isn't going to inspire me to bring a date next time.

Excellent Thai Food, friendly owners, big portions, and reasonable prices. This place is located right across for World of Beer in Westchase. I haven't had anything I didn't like there but I highly recommend the Masaman Curry and the Basil dish. Good stuff!

The first time we attempted to eat here we sat for quite a while and the server never came over to even bring us a water so we walked out. Tonight we had a taste for Thai and thought we would give them one more try...BIG mistake! Usually Thai foods clears my sinuses even when I order mild to medium spicy. Neither one of our entrees had any flavor at all and the chicken tasted gamey. This is the only time I have ever been to a Thai restaurant that did not serve soup and spring or egg rolls with the entrees. I could have been okay with that if the food had any redeeming qualities.

  • Brittany D.

The lady that took our order was very nice and the food was ready when we went to pick it up in the time frame they gave us. When we got home and started to eat we noticed both dishes were VERY dry, we had to add soy and teriyaki sauce from our fridge to make it "sauced" enough to eat. After about 6 bites I found a hair but looked passed it since we have two cats and thought it may have fallen off my clothes but literally two bites later I found another dark hair that couldn't belong to ANY of us, cats included. We called and they were very nice and took the one dish off since mine was the only one that had multiple airs in it. Unfortunately would NOT order or go there again based on the mediocre taste and dryness of our food. Oh and the hairs too.

I have eaten her many times at each time has been great! I have tried a few different menu items and have been pleased with everything. My favorites are the pad see ew and the panang curry. Enjoy!
