Precinct Pizza has just become my new #1 spot in Tampa for NY style Pizza! As a former NYCer i was real excited to take a visit here due to the NYC theme of the restaurant. As soon as you step inside i immediately had flash backs of the city as I felt like i was transported back to NYC. With familiar NY subway signs & NY sports pictures plastered all over the wall i felt at home. The walls were also covered with badges from various NYPD, FDNY & EMT departments from back home which added a cool touch to the restaurant. You could really tell that the owners put alot of time into this restaurant as there's just so much memorabilia to glance at! As for the pizza, I could tell the quality of the ingredients they used was fresh. when i took a bite of my slice, the mozzarella stuck to the crust causing the strands to slowly pull away and just proves the quality of their cheese. I always order my pizza extra crispy and as some places may tend to over cook my order, Precinct cooked mines to perfection! A slice was $2.65 which is not bad considering i was used to paying $2.75 for a slice back home. ... but what really blew me away was their garlic knots. MY god these might have been the BEST GARLIC KNOTS i have ever had in my life ... maybe even better than the ones i have had in a NYC pizzeria! Each knot was HUGE & had a little burn to it which gave each piece an excellent crisp. We ordered 4 and they covered the whole basket it was served in. Not too obnoxious with being overly garlicy, it was a nice combination and went well with the marinara sauce they served it with. this should be a MUST with every order. and the canolis ... leave the gun take the cannoli (sorry couldn't resist!) ... I haven't had a good one since walking the streets in little italy. this one was freaking amazing. Loved the chocolate chips it was served with! A great way to cap the meal! i also loved that each dish on their menu was named after different parts of NYC adding to the nostalgia of the restaurant. Its honestly been a VERY long time since ive been SO satisfied by a meal. Thank you Precinct Pizza, I will def be coming back for seconds!

Decent pizza, decent service and decent prices. Was not wow'ed or underwhelmed. It is good for a quick bite or if you have kids with you. The have nice big booths so if you are with a group you will fit at one booth. NY style pie.

I would definitely try this place again, one down side was taking the food home instead of eating if piping hot. The garlic knots looked great they were a little too crispy for me, I prefer a doughy and oily garlic knot. I really enjoyed taking a bite of my pizza and finding they use real basil on their pizzas. This would be a great place to grab a slice after drinking on channelside.

Contacted by the owner with a sincere apology and attempt to compensate for the poor service. I won't accept the compensation as that would compromise the integrity of my reviews, but I have updated to 3 stars to reflect the concern of the owner. My wish is never to harm businesses unjustly, but rather write a true reflection of what to expect. Sometimes we as reviewers have the tendency to get carried away when upset or in the heat of the moment. The pizza is good, while one employee is not. Give this place a shot if you are in the area.

This is a time when I need half stars--- 3.5 would be more accurate. Ordering options- 5.0 stars- you can order online or by phone. For those who use the online option- you receive a discount, automatically applied to your 1st order. For established customers, click on deals and you can apply potentially apply discounts ( 2 - 2 toppings for 14.99-- just an example). Delivery- 5.0 stars- you receive a confirmation email with a time. I received my order in 40 minutes. They also have a very wide delivery radius. Pizza- 4.0- the pizza was good. My son ate 2.5 slices. That is a lot of pizza for a 6yr old--considering the size of the slices. My partner and I both enjoyed our slices (me cheese and he ate the meat lovers). I did hear the oven to 500 degrees and threw the slices on the pizza stone. This really help crisp up the crust. Salad- 2.0 stars-- ok, I know it is either hit or miss with the salads. For 6.99 (full size) and 4.99 for a side salad, I expect perfection and large sizes. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I found brown wilted lettuce in my Caesar--and the side salad to be small considering the price (4.99---what???). Garlic knots- 3.0- I just think this is a taste preference. They are huge but in my opinion, lacked flavor. My partner found them to be good. So, to each his own.... Overall, I will absolutely order from here again.

Spent a week in Tampa for a work conference and, on a free night, I wondered into Precinct Pizza. Stranger in a strange town and I was greeted with a welcoming smile and friendly atmosphere. The food was exceptional! Had such a good experience that on the only other free night I had, I went back here. They remembered me and treated me like a regular. When I get back to Tampa, I'm going straight to Precinct Pizza and bringing all my friends.

Ordered delivery from our hotel room. 75 minutes for delivery from 5 miles away. The pizza was not warm when it arrived. Thin style crust. It looked greasy (aka New York Style). Lots of bacon. 14 and 18" have 8 slices. The highlight was the Garlic Knots. Every pizza chain should offer these. They make breadsticks cower in shame.

The New York atmosphere is neat, and the pizza is very good, but the service is always really slow, especially on Lightning game days.

This pizza place really lived up to its name. there were three policemen enjoying some delicious za! I could smell the aroma of the fresh cheese pizza as i approached the entry. upon entering, the smell consumed me and all i could think about was pizza. i walked right in to order two slices of cheese to go. only took about 4 minutes in all. The staff was quick and helpful. its only $2.50 per slice and you really cant beat it. the super thin, cheesey and not too much sauce made this an excellent choice for new york pizza! I will definitely be back!

First time there.... Had a Stromboli and it was amazing!!!! Loved the place, great atmosphere!!!

The food was good, not going to lie about that, and for a fair price. Only reason why it got 2 stars. As long as I don't catch something from the people handling our food with their bare hands without washing once!!! Not to mention two times I've been here had very rude wait staff that seemed like the last thing they wanted to do at this moment was take my order and bring my food. Once may be a mistake, happening 2 times is a problem. There will not be a third time. Maybe eventually they will stop neglecting us and serve us our food so we can eat, go and never come back. My tip is to the people cooking food in the back. Pretty disgusted that person handling all the raw food and stuff going into my mouth is not wearing any gloves and didn't see her wash her hands once. Won't come here again, don't want to risk getting me and my family sick. The health inspector should pay this place a visit.

Precinct Pizza was a the perfect place for a delicious lunch after sightseeing all morning. Their pizza was New York grade, with plenty of topping choices without driving up the price. The burger was pretty good, but obviously not their specialty. Get the pizza. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that it took quite a little while to be served, but the atmosphere was comfortable and I didn't mind it. The decor was awesome.

When I first tried Precinct Pizza the garlic knots blew me away! They became a regular visitor to my apartment on hungover Saturday afternoons and admittedly after a long days at the office. However a few months ago something changed. The knots are no longer the crispy/greasy deliciousness that I have come to love, but a dry sponge like substitute. I called and asked if something had changed, but they said that they had a few new people that could have been making them incorrectly. I gave them another chance, but to my dismay I received the sponges once again! While my jeans are thankful, my stomach is in dismay...Where have my knots gone?!?!

This place delivers quickly to south Tampa. I ordered online and had hot pizza and wings in my home within 25 minutes. We tried a thin crust pizza (really thin) and a regular pizza. I thought the thin crust was fairly tasteless, but my husband preferred it. I didn't find the pizza especially remarkable, but it wasn't offensive either. The wings are pretty awesome, though. Very crispy despite the trip from Channelside to south Tampa. I'm glad I got the sauce on the side so I could add it as needed. I didn't love their bleu cheese dressing. The celery was very crisp.

  • Candace D.

One of the few places left in Channelside to grab some food. Yummy pizza and the garlic knots are the size of a fist! You can order pizza by the slice or get a whole pie. They get a little busy on nights there is a Lightning game!

    (4)
  • Chris B.

I'm glad they've stuck it out in Channelside because their pizza is good. Service is alright as we've had our fair share of mediocre servers, but nothing so awful that we wouldn't come back again! Love the garlic knots and the steak house pizza. The place is clean and it gets packed before Lightning games.

This pizza is absolutely extraordinary!!! It's always fresh and the toppings are amazing. I typically stop by here after having a few drinks in the area. The location is excellent!! I just had them deliver a pie to my office for my co workers to try. They all agreed that it's the best and freshest pizza in the area. The gentleman that delivered it was extremely nice as well as every other employee I have encountered there. I definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

  • Jennifer G.

Decent pizza. On my recent visit to Tampa, I got a recommendation that Channelside Drive was a fun area to explore. It was a little underwhelming to be quite honest, but at least we got decent New York style pizza out of it. My sister and I shared the onion rings and each got a 10 inch pizza, which was plenty. I got the Bambino Blue Cheese pizza, which was pretty tasty. My sister got the Bail Jumper Bianca Pizza. I would probably come back here if I was in the area, but likely would not go out of my way to come here again.

Good food, slow service. Isn't it the worst thing to be waiting twenty minutes for your check to be picked up? Hire some weekend help guys..

  • Mark H.

The NY pizza here is just "okay." If you're craving it, and happen to be near Channel Side, it will do the trick. The sauce is a little bland, and the cheese tastes a little on the cheap side, definitely not Grande! Also, it's gotta be skim or part skim, as opposed to whole milk, which is much more flavorful. What Precinct Pizza does have is a great location, and a fantastically large venue. A lot of NY pizza joints are tiny, layed out all wrong and cheaply put together, but not this place. As a previous NY pizzeria shop owner, I'm retro-envious of this place. There seems to be a lot going on with the menu, other than just pizza, so I'd suggest ordering a pasta or sandwich, or if it's pizza you crave, make sure to get some toppings, because the plain cheese was extraordinarily PLAIN. Side note to John L, pizza cut into squares is a St. Louis pizza tradition that has migrated into Chicago and is being done in most chains. I wouldn't expect to see that in a NY pizzeria, unless requested.

Being from NY I'm partial when it comes to NY style pizza. This place came close. Ambiance is cute with all the NY street signs and photos. I'd come again if I was in the area.

Fast delivery to Ybor hotel. The food was hot and delicious. I had the Sergeant's Stromboli... highly recommend. Garlic knots were HUGE. I did not try the pizza, but every item we ordered was top shelf. Precinct Pizza is solid.

My go-to pizza place in Channelside! Delivery always earlier than expected, pizza is delicious New York style, pricing is fair- delicious! Minus one star of beer selection...

Their pizza is awesome. BBQ sauce is not great! Service in restaurant should be better.

The BBQ hamburger is absolutely fantastic! & the subs are HUGE, delicious & cheap for their size. The pizza is a pizza, you can't go wrong.

Amazing pizza. The 10" is perfect for dinner and you can make your own! The cups are big so your drink that's for a while. I would definitely recommend it...

Loved the pizza here, sauce was very flavorful and crust was wonderful! Nice service and stays open late. We had the martguerita pizza and the basil on the pizza was so fresh, sprinkle a little bit of garlic powder on it and bam! I will for sure come back when I am in the area.

  • Lilly R.

The pizza lacks. Go to Eddie & Sam's a couple of minutes away, you won't regret it. The pizza tastes not great mostly because of the cheese. Not sure how they cook it to come out almost fried on the pizza. It crumbles almost. I make the trip to downtown for Eddie's even though this Precinct is closer. The service was not good also. I regret to say it's better to try something else.

Let me start this review out by saying that my boyfriend and I had stopped here in hopes of getting a slice of pizza after the lightning game last weekend. When we arrived, it appeared they were currently out of pizza as there was none in the front display case. What they were not out of was a hostess with lots of bad attitude! We were going to ask if they had any more pizza cooking in the ovens or how much longer it would be before more would be ready, but the hostess beat us to it. She came over and asked in a loud voice with a rude 'tude "ARE YOU EATING INSIDE OR TO GO????? :( ". She seemed totally annoyed and bothered by our presence. We asked her how long it would be before we made our decision as to whether or not to wait. Her reply: "I DON'T KNOW, DO YOU WANT PIZZA OR NOT?" Ok there miss attitude, we'll pass on Precinct Pizza and most definitely won't be back. First of all, who runs out of pizza on a busy saturday night? They must not want to make any money. Second of all, who talks to customers like that? Employees who couldn't care less if they tried. Way to make a bad first impression!

Had a very favorable communication from the CEO which prompted me to retry Precinct Pizza. There have been staffing and procedural changes put in place which for me, has improved the experience significantly. One might quibble with the pricing, but they offer a great variety and quality food.

Hidden gem in the area. My wife and I started coming here when we were still dating years ago and have never had a bad experience, the service is always great no matter how busy it is. Great place to go for a casual date or after a lightning or storm game (walking distance from the forum). All of the food is great, but make sure you try the garlic knots.

We had some of the garlic knots and a medium meat lovers pizza delivered to the Marriott based on reviews. The delivery girl was not willing to bring the order to the room or even floor so having it delivered was pretty useless since they're only a couple blocks away. She did not ask or have any Parmesan cheese or pepper flakes. The pizza itself was the largest medium I've ever had but we should have gone back to Eddie and Sam's because the quality didn't compare.

Got a margarita pizza and garlic knots delivered. Took around 50min, as they said. But the pizza was room temperature and we had to reheat it. Pizza was good and probably would have been better hot. Will give it a try again but next time will pick it up on our own. Reasonably priced though

Precinct Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places in the Tampa area. I've been here many times, and had delivery quite often to my work. Always have had great service, and the food always is amazing. One of my personal favorites is the calzone, seriously the best calzone I've ever had. The garlic knots are massive! They taste great (although they don't reheat well I've noticed - only complaint!) so I would typically order 2 (it's not on the menu, but you can do it!) The owners quite often do facebook specials too, which I find quite nice. My only hope is that one day they will expand, I recently moved back to CT and I miss those garlic knots!

  • Josh A. S.

This place makes shameful pizza... unless you like oily balls of goopy cheese. I got a sandwich once which was okay. Overall, I do not recommend. Go to Eddy and Sams or New York New York instead.

  • Soy H.

This place was fantastic!! There was no wait and the food was terrific. Out waitress was extremely nice and helpful. We got the cheese bread, pepperoni roll, and meatballs. I'd recommend everyone to eat here.

  • Kim R.

We decided to give this place a shot at the office today and have absolutely no regrets. We ordered the fried raviolis and a pizza. The pizza was extremely delicious and arrived hot.... just the way it should. My only only only complaint would be that it was a tad on the greasy side. The raviolis and marinara were equally delicious. We will definitely be ordering from Precinct Pizza again.

Foreword: I used to be a HUGE Precinct fan, always talking them up for their pizzas, but have seen the unloading of the precinct delivery cars too many times to go back. Ordered two 18" pies, very expensive for low quality materials. Close proximity to Restaurant Depot allows them to buy cheap, low quality ingredients yet still charge a premium price. Quality and pricing do not match at this place, order elsewhere if you are going to spend $18/cheese pie. They are raking in the profits while you fork over premium cash. Two words, Supremo Italiano. Not so supremo at all.

The food is excellent and the price is fine. The sever kinda suck. On a Saturday it's like she don't want to be there? WTH!!! Most of them servers look like it had an attitude problem. No kidding go see for yourself. LOL Don't understand it?

  • Chris D.

Awesome place!! My son and I went here for lunch after going to the auto show that was in town for the weekend. Had the garlic knots at first which were some of the best I had then had a grinder, for 8 bucks it was twice the size of any sandwich you get anywhere else for the same price. Service was excellent even with the place being busy. Sophia was our server, ask for her next you come in.

I've been by Precinct in years past, and clearly thought it was worth updating my experience. We ordered take out so we could catch up on shows at home while noshing out. The Line Up: 18" pepperoni pie 4 giant garlic knots (they are more like mini loaves) with sauce Although pickup is a bit of a pain in the butt (where can you do a quick park & run in?), I anticpated this and brought my cutie to fly in & pick up while I drove through the roundabout to circle back to get him & the grub. Good plan. The Verdict: SUPER GOOD. Nice amt of Pep, sauce, cheese...good crust. The garlic loaves were nice! he sauce that came with them (red) was plentiful (that usually never happens) and was delicious. I love sauce. SAUCE. Yum. Num.

  • Natalia H.

This place is probably my favorite delivery pizza restaurant. Love their zeppolies and cannolis, too! I've been there a couple times and get pizza delivered at least once a week (maybe every two weeks). I've never been disappointed!

    (5)
  • Daniel V.

Service fantastic, food nothing special. Cool little place, NY themed. Baseball game on the TV. Waitress (Sophia) was excellent. Attentive, pleasant, fast, didn't disappear. I got the blue cheese salad with house Italian dressing, it was so-so. Got some cheese fries, which were good (but how hard is it to make cheese fries).

This place has the best Pizza in Tampa! Great for kids they can even watch them make the pizzas. Great kids menu and they had me at Garlic Knots! Boom!! Zaaaa!!! I will defiantly be back here for Pizza and family time!

We live on Harbor Island so going here the first time was mostly due to convenience, however even though the reviews are not all stellar, we had great service and good pizza. The following week we ordered delivery through their app, the pizza was delivered within the estimated time frame and our order was correct. All in all, not my favorite pizza ever, but if you're on Harbor Island or passing through the area, it's definitely worth a try.

    (4)
  • Syl H.

Pizza was tasty, food came out slowly one at a time...Waitress was extremely rude and just tossed the food on the table as well as my check. I found myself saying thank you numerous times with no response, not really sure why I was thanking her. Clearly she was having a bad day, just very unpleasant and unprofessional. Hire better staff. Pizza was tasty. Kids meals were just frozen chicken and stale fries. I just was not happy with the attitude for dining at the restaurant.

Placed an order for Delivery.Checked Yelp Reviews. Mixed Reviews. For the most part Favorable.Still unpacking. So it's been ALOT OF DELIVERY!! Thought I was tired of Cooking. I am secretly starting to miss my pots and pans,SCARYYYYMaybe it's a nostalgic phase. I'd like to cook and Grill more but,my environment has to be a Happy One.The Gluten Issue and Lactose has made things very difficult. Here, I ordered Plain Knots and Lemon Chicken Soup. Yeah... Didn't even ask about the Noodle Dilemma, but hey what can I say.Yeap,I fell off the wagon. Also ordered a Chicken Parm Sub,for my husband. Was told 35min.for delivery. They delivered much sooner. The knots where EXCELLENT! Asked for Absolutely PLAIN. They had a Garlic Salt on them, and oil.Next time I will emphasize, COMPLETELY CLEAN (NAKED). YES, THIS TERM May Sound ODD, BUT USUALLY IT GETS THE MESSAGE ACROSS. Aside from that everything was Grrrrreat! Really Goood! A Must Try. Will make it a point to visit their place. For delivery was very impressed based on service, presentation and a very professional phone staff not to mention. Great delivery service. Their website is Well Worth Checking. The establishment is owned and operated by a very nice husband-and-wife team. Who seem to do the work with pride. Look forward to many more Good Eats. Antipasto is my favorite when it comes to salads. Would like to try their's. Must admit, I did not check their salad menu for the Antipasto. The knots are really good will try them again. Unfortunately I will pay for eating even half of one for about three days. :-( Always Say The Same Thing. Not doing this Again! Well... I will...

I love getting delivery from here! I agree with the other posts that if you dine inside, the service is hit ir miss but they're pizza is great and delivery has always been punctual

Great pizza and calzones! Loved the decor and options on the menu. I can see what others were saying about the service. Our waitress was attentive but didn't seemed thrilled to have customers. All the wait staff seemed a bit unhappy but we got our food in good time so I wasn't bothered. Nice thin crispy crust with just a bit of a chewy bite to it.

  • John L.

This place was definitely better than I expected! Small place and although it's not a chain restaurant, it had that chain restaurant feel to it. And it was yet another NY pizza place in Florida (whatever happened to regular thin crust pizza cut into squares??), but the pizza was very good. Not amazing, but very good. Cheese and crust were great, crust bubbled up in some places (I love that) but the sauce was just so-so. Cheese sticks were kind of blah, too. Service was mediocre as I had to wait for a second beer, and ate three pieces of pizza while waiting for my drink (a definite no-no in the restaurant business), but the server took the second beer off our tab, so she redeemed herself somewhat. All in all, I'd go back for sure.

Pizza is good if you get it on the right night... I gotten pizza here over 10 times, I would say the pizza has been good 8 out of 10 times, but the staff was extremely rude, I stopped going in person and stick to delivery because I cannot tolerate the rude employees...I would order again but only delivery !!

Bill and I were really impressed by the quality of the food at this pizza restaurant. We have passed Precinct Pizza many times and would always comment on wanting to try it out but would forget about it. However, last saturday afternoon that changed! We were wondering around Tampa Bay just hanging out and looking for somewhere to have lunch and stopped by Precinct. At first, whenever we arrived our service was a little iffy due to having to wait almost 10 minutes for our server to even come to take a drink order. Regardless we decided to stay and I'm glad that we did. We ordered a pepperoni stromboli and for an additional price we added onions, green peppers, and pineapple. And we also ordered a side salad and a piece of pepperoni pizza. Everything was amazing! The salad was so fresh and for a side salad it was rather big and was perfect for two people to share. I will say though I was not a fan of the house italian dressing but we exchanged it without a problem for the honey mustard which was very good. The stromboli was very big and I thought it was so nice that our server (knowing we were going to split the stromboli) already had cut it in half for us and placed it on two seperate plates so we could each have our own piece. Hubby and I STILL had leftovers to take home afterwards. It also came with a large bowl of sauce for dipping and the sauce was perfect - not to sweet and not to salty, just right. Another added bonus for me was - their drink glasses are extra large so you didn't have to keep asking your waitress numerous times for a refill, I think that is a plus! We will definitely be back for more, we may have found our new pizza place (for the moment!)

First time in Precinct Pizza the Blonde who you first talk to when you enter was very friendly, ordering was easy and the guy who took my order was also friendly, I ordered a Large Plain Pizza. The Sauce & Cheese was excellent yet the crust was not on par. The crust tasted as if the dough they used was premade that did not taste fresh the crust just fell apart and crumbled when you ate it. Maybe it was a fluke but being from NY originally the crust is a no go. For 16 bucks for a large pie I expect better crust. Also why doesn't a NY pizza place have garlic powder on the tables? I found that strange as well. I will give it another go before I just go down the street to Eddie & Sams that has garlic powder shakers on every table.

We ordered from Precinct Pizza last night - two large pizzas. The pizza was delivered to our hotel promptly. When the delivery person called to say she was had arrived she told my husband that he would know who she was because she's the "hot blonde". We did giggle and it definitely peaked my son's interest (he walked down with my husband). The pizza was average, at best. If we are ever in Tampa again, we will not be ordering from Precinct Pizza.

great place to eat when visiting the aquarium. ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and wings. pizza was nice, thin, and crisp with loads of toppings and cheese. wings were pretty good. nothing amazing. honey BBQ was very good. staff was very nice. they counted wrong on the wings so when they brought them, they said they got the number wrong and would bring us more (and they brought us extra!)

    (4)
  • Chris L.

Best wings that we have had in years. A margarita pizza that was so good it reminded us of what it should be. So good that we had to go back 2 days latter for lunch for more of the wings and another pie. This time a build your own with an assortment of toppings. Again we were reminded of what a pizza should be. Wish this place was in my neighborhood. Man, living in Texass sucks.

After my first bad experience I was compensated with a free 18" pizza. I have to tell you the pizza was great! This time however I decided to pick up my pizza instead of it not being delivered like my previous experience. I was reluctant to give this establishment a second chance but I'm glad I did. The pizza was well worth it!

Had ordered some pizzas to go back in January and decided Friday night to go in and eat. Both times were FABULOUS! The Meat Lover's pizza is extremely good, but to be honest, I couldn't get passed the wings. Hooters is next door and they put Hooters wings to shame. Well, we had some pizza left over, so I warmed it up on my stone tonight for leftover Saturday and OMG, it was so good tonight. I think this will be our new Friday night place to go. I read about the service from other people, but our service was great. I don't know if they have new staff or not but my girl was pregnant and working it. She was very pleasant and had our drinks and everything filled!

I eat alone all the time and here it was just like, way to make me feel awkward! They even wanted my extra chair instead of taking one from another table that was empty but whatever, I was nearly done at that point. Like, considering every server had on a Lightning shirt, and I was wearing a shirt for the ~evil opponent~ it makes me wonder if they were just being super lame. But considering there were large groups of people clearly speaking French getting nice service I just don't get why they acted so weird towards me as one person. Since I hadn't eaten all day, I got a personal size 10" pizza with just jalapenos on it. It was pretty good, but meh, I almost wish I just overpaid for something in the arena. It would have been 3 stars if I hadn't been treated like a second rate customer for being one person.

Their pizza was ok, I think they need to cook the pizzas alittle more and have more tastier cheese. They do have a large delivery area in southern Tampa, as well as Ybor.

Great pizza - cool atmosphere - great place to bring the kids! The crust is very crispy and can't wait to try the garlic knots... Next time! Good stuff!

We came in after a USF football game. Our hotel was just 2 blocks from Channelside and my friends were in the mood for pizza. There were some really drunk people in another booth, and the server told us that she originally wasn't going to serve them, but then ended up doing it anyways and then I guess they didn't give her a tip and wrote a nasty note on the receipt. It was random and awkward because the server actually had attitude with us when we first walked in because she was pissed at them. After they left, she paid more attention to us and seemed sweet- just having a bad night. The food was ok. My friends got pizza and garlic rolls/knots. I had chicken wings. The drunk people were more memorable than the food.

This is one of my favorite pizza joints in Tampa. I'm a regular at Channelside and love stopping by for the ocassional slice or fried ravioli. This is several notches above Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. My only complaint would be that the service is sometimes a little off. You wait for good pizza, but keeping the sodas topped off and checking in regularly with your patrons is a must. I wouldn't say the service is bad, just that it could improve a bit. But the food is outstanding so that's what matters. Oh, and don't forget the garlic knots. Addictive! Another plus is they do local delivery, so if you are staying at a nearby hotel, they'll bring their pizza goodness right to you. I'm a fan!

Pretty darn good and a good value. Loved the thin crust with pepperoni. Got a single slice for my daughter and it was not as good, seemed kinda old and reheated( I know that it is reheated but I mean like next day reheated). Overall good pizza, would get a fresh pie over a slice. Very similar to those I have had in NYC.

Had this pizza last week and just now I tried a nearby competitor: Pizza Pazza. I will be going back to Precinct next time. I had the meat lovers pizza at both places and I had it delivered both times. both pizzas arrived hot and in fairly short order. Neither pizza was amazing by any means, both were closer to 'good' than 'great', but I gotta give the edge to Precinct even though it was slightly more expensive than Pizza Pazza. the crust at Pizza Pazza tasted less fresh and I suspected it was made from frozen dough whereas the Precinct had a more authentic taste and seemed like it was made from fresh hand made dough.

The fam was in Tampa in preparation for a winter break cruise and we had a couple of hours before the boat left. It was cold out so we did not want to walk too far from the cruise terminal. There was, as usual, disagreement about what we would eat but after a bit of negotiation, the four of us (wife and 2 college aged kids) agreed on pizza. Precinct is located in a shopping development near the cruise pier and it has a police station motif. We ordered salads and a large cheese pizza. The salads were large and tasty and the pizza was quite good - well far better than what I have eaten at other family style pizza restaurants.. I don't live in Tampa so I may never have another meal at Precinct but if I lived in Tampa I would put it on the list for crisp and tasty pizza.

Gross. Undercooked and soggy. Room temp at delivery. Took an hour and I'm two streets over. Mushrooms were dried out. Pepperoni was even cheaper and more processed than normal pepperoni. Almost no sauce. Total disappointment.

We have tried many different menu items and have been pleased with everything. Their thin crust pizza is the star of the show, but the garlic knots and various appetizers aren't far behind. Be prepared for the size of the garlic knots...they are huge and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. The location is convenient to the aquarium, cruise port, Forum, and more. Free parking in a nearby lot is a plus. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This place is located outside Channelside, to the left of the main entrance, which might explain the limited number of patrons. Could this be the worst location possible? Yes. There are always plenty of people working here, but typically few customers in my experience. There is a ton of NYC police/fireman/paramedic related stuff nailed to the walls. Hit up their web site for the reasonable explanation why. The food is reliable and good quality but I would have to say, nothing special. If I need to choose between this and Hooters at Channelside, this wins every time.

Great pizza! I've never had a problem with service. The garlic knots are my favorite, and the marinara sauce is so yummy. We live within walking distance to this place but, if we didn't, the one drawback would definitely be parking. As an aside, I hope that updates are made to the Channelside shops as soon as possible...there is so much potential.

The waitress we had made it seem like everything was a struggle to do. We came it and waited at the podium to be seated for 8 minutes as one of the waitresses was sitting at the table talking to her friends. We were finally seated and waited again for our server. Our drinks came out relatively fast but don't try ordering another. They will ignore you as long as they can. The food is good and portions are large but the service is terrible. It would have been nice if they even acknowledged us leaving.

One of my goto stops whenever I'm in the area. Its location is within walking distance of most hotels in the area (Embassy, Marriott). The portions are generous and very satisfying. I always walk away eating too much because I can't stop. Used to be a once a year trip, but now I am here more frequently. Never too crowded and never had an issue w/ service. They also deliver if the weather is cruddy or you just don't feel like walking. Big fan of their garlic knots. Usually get some type of sandwich or calzone and a single slice. Mmmmm...could go for some again tonight.

Slow service, pizza was missing some flavor. We got the bianca pizza (forgot the full name) and it was mainly just oil, garlic and cheese. Garlic knots were burnt and not a good kind of burnt. It just wasn't that great.

This is a casual pizza joint. I needed a little something heartier than a slice of pizza, so I ordered the Veggie Roll. I'm not sure what makes it a roll rather than a calzone other than it's shape, but it was delicious. Their marinara is delicious, so I bet their pizza is awesome. The veggies in the Veggie Roll were all fresh, not frozen or canned, and I always appreciate that. The staff was friendly enough and my food was cooked really fast. There weren't a lot of people in there, though, so I don't know how the wait is when it's packed. I'll definitely be back to try the pie!

Super stromboli! After the aquarium, the fam and I went in search for a place to grub and naturally, we turned to the pizza. You can always figure out if a place is legit if there's some people crowding in to dine. I was ecstatic to see stromboli on the menu, and oh my goodness it was a meat lover's delight! I really don't understand why the stromboli craze hasn't hit the west coast. Someone one roll that trend over to the bay please!

As a native New Yawkah, you have to make a VERY good pizza to impress me. I have been to Precinct Pizza a few times and #1) I never left hungry #2) always left satisfied #3) never spent a lot of money. The pizzas are ginormous, the pasta dishes have enough to feed a small family, and the cannolis are to die for. Wait staff are pleasant and efficient. You could take this place and drop it anywhere in NY and it would still be one of the better pizza joints in the area.

With all the pizza joints in town....we really like the Margherita pizza here. I always prefer a local pizza place to the chains that taste more like cardboard or bread that's topped unsuccessfully. The pizza dough is a great NY style. And those pizza knots are a hit with a solid marinara sauce.

WOW!! Miss NY and gotta say wouldn't have expected to get something sooooo close an soooo damn good here in Tampa! Great food, awesome homey decor, great service and you'd do yourself and injustice if you don't order the garlic knots for your meal as well!!

Bound to my hotel room for the night while in Tampa, I called the front desk for pizza delivery counsel. Normally when someone I don't know says, "this place is outstanding," the results are catastrophic. Not so in this instance. Kudos to the Waterside Marriott front desk! A Precinct Pizza menu was slipped under my door and I marveled a few minutes at the wildness of their menu. By wild I mean these guys put mayonnaise on at least one of their pizzas. I was stumped when I read the description and had to order this anomaly. The BLT pizza was retrieved from the lobby, as the hotel was far too fantastic to allow the pizza guy to come up and knock on my door. I opened the box on the balcony and just gawked at BLT pizza's strangeness for a minute. American cheese, bacon, topped with lettuce and then delicate specks of mayonnaise as the final layer. One of the stranger pizzas I've had in my life. I can't say I will order it again, but I'll definitely play with Precinct's menu some more when I'm back in town. These guys don't play when it comes to bold pizza making. I love it!

The pizza here is amazing :) Moving to Tampa from NYC, always left us looking for a little slice of the city... we found it. Pizza, salad, calzone... all super tastey. I also LOVE this place because they treat their customers TOP NOTCH! We ordered delivery one night and it was wrong, I called back and they comped the pizza and salad. Mistakes happen, it's how you resolve them that matters. Because of their amazing customer service, I will forever order my pie from Precinct, and strongly encourage you to as well.

Good pizza, especially after a lightning game. Can't go wrong with the prices either. I'd definitely recommend this place if perusing in Channelside.

All I need to know in life I learned from Precinct's Margherita pizza. Holy yum. I swear they must be making their mozzarella in-house, it is THAT fresh. Giant, overly-generous slices of the aforementioned delicious mozzarella on a perfectly topped pizza. Well done, Precinct.

Pizza is decent. Wings and garlic bread are very good. I prefer their thin crust pizza, they only have one size and it is much better than the New York style that they offer.

I must say, if you have not eaten at Precinct Pizza. You just don't know what you are missing. They have great food and wonderful hospitality. My wife and I ate here for the First time, just before seeing Jeff Dunham and everything was just wonderful including our waitress,"Sophie". We felt like we were at home. My wife and I will be back real soon, like tomorrow.

The food wasn't bad, the pizza I ordered was hot and could tell it was freshly made not rehearse. The only complaint was the server I had was pretty lousy was very slow on refills and wasn't entirely helpful on the menu.

The pizza here was so great after we got a couple of slices, we took a pie home back with us. This was the last stop before our trip home from Tampa. The owner happened to be in but we did not know he was the owner as he was behind the counter talking to the employees like a friend. We thought he was just another customer and the conversation was good and they included us in the conversation. Friendly staff.

These guys were super accommodating to my wedding party and I. We chose this as the spot for our rehearsal because we wanted to do something were everyone could get fed well at a reasonable price that fell within the budget of my new hubby and I. With a group that has a propensity for drinking, pizza and beer was an obvious solution! The initial allure to choose precinct was simply because the Channelside location was within walking distance of our rehearsal at the aquarium, but as I began to discuss my plans with the shop owner it became evident the variety of reasons why precinct was a great choice: 1) great food - read the other reviews, this is good pizza! 2) great service - the owner was incredibly responsive via email, made special accommodations for my group, when we got there everything was set up, and the wait staff was prepared with my pre-order and totally on top of it! 3) great price - as a local I am familiar with the expenses one can expect when dining in Channelside! This place was great, much less for a group to eat at than say "Thai Thani" or "Tina Tapas" or any of the other places around the corner. My big dinner went swimmingly because of the work an planning that the staff put into my event, and everyone really loved the food.

We had lunch here on the yelp recommendations while in Channelside. I was unfortunately not impressed. I ordered the calzone with pepperoni and garlic. When it arrived it looked good but cutting into it revealed that is was stuffed with huge amounts of cheese, which normally I would be happy about because I love cheese. However, in this case that was just about the only thing in it! They put ricotta in it as well as mozzarella and I don't think that actually adds anything but odd white goo in the middle, I would leave it out if I owned the place. I was expecting pepperoni, I got maybe four Hormel packaged slices with very little flavor, it needed more and a better quality pepperoni with some actual flavor would help a lot. Also I was expecting the "fresh garlic" that was indicated on the menu. This was very hard to locate in the calzone because there was such a miserly amount and because I am absolutely certain it was canned garlic not fresh, again no flavor. If your going to claim fresh garlic I want somebody back there smashing garlic cloves. My husband had the BLT pizza which he didn't complain much about but he did say that it was certainly not the best pizza he has had. I will say that the marinara sauce they brought with the calzone seemed fresh and tasted good. That was good because I had to employ both that and the salt shaker to add any taste other than cheese to this calzone. Their decor was fun and we enjoyed the signs. The staff was OK other than our waitress telling us that it's not suppose to take this long and acting like that the cook wasn't doing something right back there. I admit that NY style pizza is not my favorite anyway, thus I ordered the calzone instead. You might feel differently if you just love NY style pizza. Personally I will happily order my pizza from Marco's in the future.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The facility was near spotless, the food was amazing and the staff was friendly. I had some "Fried Ravioli" and some Buffalo Wings. The root beer is extremely sweet which makes it even better. The Fried Ravioli was cooked precisely, evenly coated with batter all around. The breaded ravioli was fresh and delivered as soon as it was fresh off of the deep frier. The Buffalo Wings were perfectly, and evenly seasoned with sauce. The celery that came with the Wings were crisp and cool. I wish I lived in Tampa so I could come here all of the time! (I recommend a location in Virginia!)

Food was awesome, beer was cold, and the staff was very friendly! I had a calzone which was amazing. My wife ordered pizza by the slice and it also looked very good. The customer service was great, our waitress let me borrow her phone charger so I could charge my dead phone at our table while we ate. 4 out of 5 stars. Will defiantly go back next time we are in town.

I had came back to give it another try. Restaurants are about the overall experience not just the food. The pizza is fine here. Nothing amazing nothing bad. Had mushroom slice and they fundamentally tossed uncooked mushrooms on my slice. But it was tasty enough. The thing that got me again was the service. We waited at door for around a minute. Wife read sign that said sorry everyone in party must be here to serve. That was her first impression. Sat us down and server was too busy folding boxes and prepping to visit us. We got the pizza and was asked if we wanted any oregano. Then she disappeared. We finished and she came back and asked if everything was still good. I was done already... Our order was small I know but the server was gone doing side work the whole time and the kitchen had called other tables to deliver and the other server just ignored the food... Guess side work is more important. The thing that bothered me the most was the crap sitting on the floor next to us the whole time as the picture showed. How unsanitary, annoying, and just tacky. Parking is awful and just no need to make this a destination. Place has potential though with cleaning and training.

I've been here several times in the 5 months that I've lived in Florida. It's never disappointed. Today I brought my son here for the first time. As always, the fried ravioli was amazing. This time we also had hot wings. Delicious. Cooked perfectly. It wasn't too busy, and I feel our waitress could have checked on us more than once, but overall, another fantastic experience. This is the one place in Channelside that I recommend to absolutely everyone.

Precinct Pizza is by far the BEST pizza joint in Channelside & Downtown Tampa. Rain or shine they deliver within 40 minutes and the food is always hot. The garlic knots taste amazing! So fresh! I usually order the veggie roll and always have leftovers for the next day. The Waldorf salad is too good to be true!! I love that you can order online and customize the order. The prizes are not bad and as I said before you always have food leftover for the next day! I'm definitely gonna miss this place when I move!!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
