Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Horrible service. The staff was very rude and took 1 hour 45 minutes for delivery when they stated it would be 40 to 45 minutes. Not sure how the pizza would be warm but it wasn't that great cold.

Staying at a local hotel and found a menu stuffed in the door. We ordered the "Supreme" pizza because it combined pepperoni, beef, ham, sausage, bacon, onion, mushroom, green pepper, black olive, and garlic. It was a disappointment- when we opened the box my first impression was that we got the wrong order because all I could identify was pepperoni. The other ingredients were there but ground up so small or sliced so thin they were hard to identify. The crust ("Our homemade dough is a family recipe") was too thin and droopy to stand up, even with their thin application of ingredients. We would not order again.

I live right around the corner from this place, decided to try it after recieving a flyer at my apapartment. The have a huge menu...pizza, pasta dishes, wings, burgers, and a lot more. I always get the #9 special, two pasta dishes, two side salds, breadsticks, and a two liter soda for 16.99....awesome deal, and the food is amazing. The only major downside is the delivery service which I doubt ill use from now on bc although we live close, it always takes way longer than they say it will. But ill keep giving them my buisness bc the food is great and so are the prices.

Food was only okay, and the order took way too long to be delivered. I also got overcharged, which really bums me out. I ordered chicken wings (butter garlic) and a sausage calzone. The wings were crispy, but didn't have a lot of flavor. I should've ordered something saucier or with more flavor because I couldn't even taste the garlic. The calzone was very mediocre, but it was sizeable and could feed two. I got a flier under my hotel door, and it said fast delivery, but it took an hour to get to me. While the delivery guy Ryan was nice, I was overcharged for my order. Based on the menu prices, my order should have been $15, and even with tax it should've been only around $16. However, I was charged over $19. The delivery guy said he couldn't do anything about it and for me to call to complain. I tried calling 5 times that night but couldn't even connect, so I gave up. If someone from the restaurant reads this, I would love to have some followup.

Received the flyer in the mail so decided to try it out. We ordered a supreme pizza with pineapple and wings. The pizza was alright. The toppings were applied very sparingly. I literally had only one pineal piece per slice. The wings were tough and dry. Overall it is a mediocre place and I wouldn't go back.

Excellent service. Owner was very nice. Food was fresh. Similar to New York style pizza. The kitchen is impressively clean. Plus, Cold beer, you can't go wrong! Would definitely return.

Terrible. Ordered late-night delivery to our hotel- pizza with mushrooms and olives, salad for me, hot wings for boyfriend. You would think they'd throw in plastic utensils, seeing as we ordered to a hotel, but no. It was okay though... Apparently you have to specifically tell them you want salad dressing when you order a salad or it comes without it. Tomatoes were mushy. Boyfriends wings were a weird pink color with barely any sauce and what sauce was there was not good. And New York style pizza my butt. Coming from NJ, I don't appreciate how good our pizza is until we are outside of the NY/NJ area. This pizza was awful. Nevermind that the mushrooms smelled funky and overpowered the pizza. The sauce was totally tasteless. Seriously my boyfriend and I actually used his blue cheese dressing from the wings ON THE PIZZA just to make it taste better, and I don't even like blue cheese. If we hadn't been starving we would have just thrown it out. At least the delivery guy was nice.

I should have read reviews before trying this place. I got a flyer at my apartment and wanted to try somewhere new, supporting non-chains...I was asked to wait on the phone for 5 minutes and told me to wait when a customer walked into the store, but I let that go... I ordered Mozzarella sticks, eggplant parm (comes with tossed salad and breadsticks) and a cannoli. I asked if there was a way I could pay a little extra to upgrade from a tossed salad to the antipasto. When I completed my order, he told me the order came to $25 (He took 1 dollar off of my bill for the change in pasta... thanks) and told me my food would be delivered to me in 45-55 minutes. When they finally arrived, it had been an hour and 25 minutes, and on top of that, the delivery man forgot a pen then proceeded to be on his phone the entire time (I don't believe in not tipping, so I begrudgingly gave him a $3 tip). The mozzarella sticks were luke warm, the eggplant was mushy, and the salad was not what I expected. To top that off, I never received my breadsticks. I was hoping the saving grace would be the $3 cannoli. Being Italian and having wonderful cannolis from the North End in Boston, I had pretty high hopes. Even so, it was terrible. The shell was abnormally hard, and the filling was way too watery. I feel like I way overpaid for what I got. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from there anymore and not recommending to others around the USF area. Terrible service, and disappointing food.

Got delivery from this place. Ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza, hot wings, 2 liter of Pepsi and a gyro. Delivery time was quoted at 30 to 50 minutes. Took just over an hour, and they forgot my 2 liter of soda. Pizza was pretty good - Crust, and sauce was good. Ham was mushy... Hot wings were fantastic! Gyro was not very good at all.. I know, should have known better than to order a gyro from a pizza place right? Came to $29. The price was right on the wings. I recommend the hot wings, and the pizza.

Have ordered from this place a few times hoping it would get better. Today I have waited 1 hour 10 minutes for a Caesar Salad and lasagna. Perhaps this is the last time I order. My order came 1 hour and 40 minutes after ordering. The lasagna was good, but for the wait, I could have cooked it myself.

My family and I ordered the margarita pizza, mozzarella sticks, and fries. We were inclined to order in the first place because the menu was in between our door at the Sheridan suite. Well convienence was not our savior this time. The pizza took a little over an hour and it was cold, not warm what so ever. I'm a college student and honestly i was just trying to max on some greasy food with out much judgement and this was a huge dissapointment. I've never even bothered to write a review before, so ya the food was that embarrassing.. just don't do it

They left a flyer in our hotel, but then when we called they said they wouldn't deliver. Very annoying.

They slipped a flier under my hotel door. Wanted someone who delivered and thought I would give them a shot as it was not a chain restaurant. Ordered 2 pizzas and some salads. Pizza was average. Salad was basic but fresh. Delivery was estimated at 45 min and took 1 hour and 5 minutes. Not cool. They forgot extras that I requested: marinara and parmesan cheese. I would not order from them again if I lived here.

FIRST AND LAST TIME ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE!!! I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Pizza Famiglia for 4 reasons I will list bellow: 1- Delivery was estimated at 45 minutes; it took them 2 hours; the flier under my hotel door said fast delivery; 2- The pizza was ice cold and mediocre in taste and quality at best; 3- A free 2-liter-soda was to come with my special order; the delivery man said they had run out of it and gave us 2 cans of Pepsi (I ordered diet Coke). 4-I had called twice asking why it was taking so long and, I kept getting the same answer: "It will be there any minute now". In conclusion,NEVER AGAIN!
