One of the worst parking lots I've ever had the pleasure to park in. The restaurant is located next to a Starbucks and the lot is filled with larger higher end SUVs and drivers using they phone...so be weary while pulling in. I ordered the half and half and I'll say the Turkey Avocado BLT is actually pretty good, the French Onion soup was about average - not worth ordering a second time. The problem - really bad customer service. I was checked out by a manager (or a supervisor of some sort). She acted like she was miserable and treated the one customer in line as if it was his fault. Also many of the tables were dirty despite it being 3:30, which I assume is not a rush period.

This place was so busy at lunch and parking is a nightmare. Wouldn't recommend it if you're in a time crunch. The employees seemed kind of stressed out while making food. Maybe they were busier than normal. I ordered a salad that was supposed to have avocado and they forget to put it on the salad. I went back up to have it added and the guy just took my plate with out really saying anything. He also didn't say you're welcome when I said thank you.. Kind of a pet peeve of mine I guess. They also didn't have regular ranch dressing, which I found pretty strange. Only barbecue ranch? Not great.

I love Panera's soup! They are delicious, warm and a great comfort food to me. So I've been seeing the billboards and ads about Panera's broth bowls. I was quite intrigued. I love my broth noodle bowls from pho to hand pulled noodles to ramen (not the $0.25 package you ate in college). I was hoping this would be something along those lines. I was there during the mad rush lunch time but I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right in front of the door! It was a good sign. The parking lot is small with the various businesses there. I placed my order for the soba noodle bowl with chicken I was super excited! So I head to the food distributing/kitchen area with my pager. Me and the rest of the panera patronage stand there waiting anxiously for our pager to buzz. When my pager finally buzzes I wanted to call out Me! Me! I get a grip and go find a seat, which becomes a bit difficult with the crowd here. I find a corner table and was excited. I had got it to go in case I couldn't finish it. I never finish my pho bowls so I was thinking ahead. When I got my bowl out of the paperbag i realized my mistake. I knew I was going to finish this bowl with no problem. The bowl came with a piece of french bread which I found odd having it with a miso soup base broth. I suppose that's better than no bread at all? The chicken was moist but the broth was bland. There was hardly any broth- not what I had in mind. For $9 after taxes, I rather go get a bowl of pho and have some leftovers. I wanted to add siracha or chilli oil to give it a kick. But it's Panera where the flavors are American not Asian. Panera, please stick to your American comfort food soup and leave the Asian broth to the Asian themed restaurants.

I love Panera. This one in particular, I will not be revisiting. We were here at 7:30. One of the cashiers was very friendly. She was the best part of our visit. Both of the soups that we ordered were not hot enough, in fact, I would say they were in the "danger zone", below 135*. I asked for another, and I'm pretty sure she got it from the same exact pot. So guess what??? It was still like warm. Needless to say, I took a few bites and called it quits. The manager was standing right there when I took my soup back, and she walked away. No one apologized. No service recovery. Nothing. They are open until 9:30, but they are acting like they close in 10 minutes. I've never had a bad experience at Panera. Definitely not going to come back here. THIS LOCATION SUCKS!

I like Panera Bread. This one in particular is in a high-traffic area and the parking lot is shared with other businesses. It might be complicated to find a close parking lot but I never had to leave because of lack of parking space. They are very consistent in their food and it is good quality. Their salads are fresh and abundant. Although their menu is diverse, the only thing they have that would make me do a special trip is their Asiago cheese bagel. The reason I frequent this location is because it's a great place to meet with people, they have outlets through the store for your electronic devices and their WiFi has always been reliable. The staff is pleasant, although I found the manager a little sarcastic (I started with a bad joke so it's on me). I feel comfortable coming here and meeting with business associates. If you need private space though, this is not your location.

Friendly and prompt service . Great place to have lunch and study. Nice selection of vegan items. I ordered the Mediterranean veggie (minus feta) and the new edamame soba noodle broth bowl. The broth bowl was light yet very flavorful . Filled with lots of well cooked veggies. Highly recommended .

I am giving three stars because my lemon drink was left out of the order. If I am refunded or an able to get my drink tomorrow I will change this to four stars. The bf didn't check the bag and neither did the cashier. I love that I can order ahead but if that means paying for items you may not receive. I will pass on that. I love Panera and never really have issues but I normally go inside. Hoping to change the star status tomorrow!!

Those of us who spend our days on the road are always looking for a clean place to sit down and fire up the laptop / tablet, enjoy a cold drink or a quick meal, use their restrooms, and then move on to the next appointment. Panera Bread has become one of those reliable places to set up a temporary remote office, and this particular location at the corner of Kennedy Boulevard and West Shore Boulevard is certainly convenient when I'm working in that section of town. Sadly the parking for this Panera is not the best, as they're located next to a busy Starbucks in a fairly small shopping center, so be prepared to circle and circle and circle as you look for an open space. There are days when I feel like a vulture in search of my next meal, but that's part of the "charm" about places south of Kennedy Boulevard. The menu at Panera is predictably consistent across the various locations within this chain. Breakfast includes freshly-baked bagels, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea, etc. Lunch and dinner options include soups, salads, sandwiches, and paninis. The food is good, affordably priced, and served nice and hot. I generally get a soup & salad or a soup & panini combination in the afternoons, and then try to find a clean table to set up my computer and get some work done. My one real negative about this location is that their servers are slow to wipe off the tables between customers, and you need to look carefully before setting your expensive electronics into some leftover sticky bletch from the last customer. Depending on time of day this location can be quite crowded with financial consultants, insurance agents, ladies setting up their network marketing circles, college students, and sales reps all looking for a little space to return phone calls, check emails, and take a breather. You'll meet some very interesting folks at this Panera Bread who are more than anxious to practice their 30-second "elevator sales pitch" on the unsuspecting customers, but thankfully you can plug in your ear buds and pretend like you're on a conference call to solve world peace. It's a nice place to get a meal and get some work done, but be careful of the sticky table tops!

Multiple friends absolutely swear by Panera, and I obviously know this chain is not hurting for customers. So why do I feel like I'm never getting enough for my money at Panera Bread? While taste and quality of the food I've had here is good, much of it seems to be priced more at the level of an actual restaurant rather than one where you order at a counter and wait to pick it up yourself. Let me emphasize that this, nor previous visits here, offered a negative experience. My customer service has been more than satisfactory. I just have a hard time justifying coming here regularly because the value just is not there relative to other places specializing in sandwiches and salads. Parking at this particular location is also tricky because they are right off Kennedy and compete directly with a Starbucks right next door, so parking in the larger area off West Shore is always a better option.

  • Josiah G.

As far as Panera's go, this one seems to be above par in my experience. The parking can suck at times with the Starbuck's right next door and since it appears that people take up permanent shelter in both businesses, the lot is always full. Despite that, the service has been quick and the food has been consistently good. Also, to Panera's credit, they're the only chain that has a dairy-free pumpkin spice. I've had to research this due to having a lactose-intolerant girlfriend and all other coffee chains have dairy in the actual mix itself, so they cannot make any version dairy-free. So, hats off Panera for being a Maverick in the pumpkin spice world.

Just stopped by for two quick lunches, and it was definitely happening on the weekdays. I got the half sandwich, half soup deal. I loved it. The salad wasn't tiny (apple chicken) and was delicious. Thinly slices apple with decent chicken breast in the salad. Dressing was not overpowering. The chicken orzo soup was tasty - maybe slightly on the salty side - but satisfying nonetheless. They have plenty of seating, and food comes out quickly. You are notified with the vibrating contraption.

Life Pro Tip: If you are wanting a catered lunch, choose a local deli or other establishment, don't choose Panera. Their sandwiches are bland, salads are lackluster, and the fruit is usually mushy. I had their catered lunch for 3 days in a row during a conference and it was miserably bad each day. For the price that you pay, you can do A LOT better. One bright point: Their cookies are great.

Today 5/4/2015 order a southwest chicken flatbread... Was actually for my husband . When he came home tonite he asked what was that sandwich you've purchased? I said why? Because it had a little bit of greens and nothing else! Talk about an oversight.. So I'm giving it 1 star.. It seems lately at paneras like the portions are so small and well the flavor inst really there.. Won't go back..

Came here for breakfast. Everyone who worked there looked completely miserable and hating life. The food was still good though. I think the only person who was working and smiled at that Panera was one of the managers when he handed me my order.

  • Jude B.

Food is good and management as well.. However, it's the parking and availability of seating here that gets 2stars. First if all too many people come to use this place for meetings and free business space. Many spend hours here occupying tables and a few use the bathroom to get dressed/changed. I feel there should be a time limit on how long this should be allowed to be fair, also inconsiderate people tend to take up larger tables for 4-6 people so they can spread their computers and papers out. As a business owner of a restaurant I can't see how this is productive to the sale of food and beverages when typically I'm hosting meetings and not selling food/beverage.

  • Tom A.

Pretty standard Panera...but I can only give 3 and not 4 stars. Food is what you expect, but the service could be better. Seems like the staff turns over frequently and the young trainees at the register are just not happy about entering the work force. Ample seating area, though a little cramped. There's a larger parking lot in front of the Starbucks next door and the Pier One that's easier to navigate than the few spots in front of the Panera.

  • Jessica M.

2 out of the 3 stalls in the women's restroom had no toilet paper and there was no paper towel. Makes me think they don't check the bathroom which also indicates it probably doesn't get cleaned which then makes me think how clean is everything else food wise if there is such a lack of attention to something as minor as toilet paper? There are plenty of other Panera Breads around, will not eat at this one.

The positive... Creamy tomato soup and the Asiago Steak sandwich were up to par. Wifi speed and coverage were excellent, so work can be accomplished without any speed issues. The negative... Asiago sandwich is no longer roast beef, now it's steak. I honestly preferred the roast beef over the steak.

This place is busy during lunch but I still had quick service! The bathrooms were neat, a few things needed to be restocked. The food was OK. I had the vegetable soup which was watered down. I will try something different next time!

Love this spot! Location is great! Parking is a different story! But that's Tampa period for you! I'm at this location almost daily. The staff is great and friendly. I call it Bread Co still, being from STL that's what we call it. Originated there, if you check the history it was once called St. Louis bread Company. I go to any of them but live close to this location. Frozen caramel is yummy!!! Better than Starbucks Carmel that's for sure! I honestly love everything there, toooo much!

I love the food at Panera and have been a big fan for a long time. I have been to this location several times in the past and have had good service but on a recent trip, the service was less than ideal. Let's just say that the person taking the order was extremely rude and treated Sarah B. like she was stupid for asking a question about the iced coffee. When she asked what I wanted to eat and I replied, she just sat there and stared at me. When Sarah B. asked if we could ring up, she said that I didn't order...... I asked for French Onion Soup. When it came out, there was no cheese or croutons. I went to ask and was told that the girl ringing me up input in the system that I didn't want cheese or croutons. Didn't happen... Disappointing experience.

I actually have been here alot. I went in one day and I was quite suddenly in love. My usual is the roasted turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich and the mac and cheese. I get the "You Pick 2" deal. The 3 stars is for the quality of the food When it's right its amaaazing! Mac and Cheese is on point! I don't care how much it costs give me a bowl! But when it's bad it's bad. The problem here is consistency. There has to be a 1/3 chance the food will be missing a vital component (chicken cob salad w/o chicken, or a turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich w/o bacon... see where I'm going?) No matter the odds... However, I still find myself craving panera. Pros: Ample Parking Largish Dining Area The Food (usually) Cons: Always Busy (kinda a pro..) Disorganized Lines at Register People crowding the food pickup area Fav Menu items would be the Mac and Cheese, Seasonal Posole Green Chili soup, Turkey w/ bacon and guacamole sandwich, and Chicken Cobb Salad.

It's a panera so you know what to expect. The negative aspect of this one is the parking. They share a lot with Starbucks and several retail shops so get ready to park far away and circling the parking lot several times ....

    (4)
  • Martic R.

I love Panera...this location not so much mainly because of the parking and how crowded it can get at lunch time. The parking is odd and the fact that they share the plaza with other high traffic shops it can be a bit of a headache. As far as servicegoes I have no complaints, I usually get my pick 2 soup and salad and that doesn't really change from locations unless it's a seasonal item. I would order to go rather than fight the crowd but If you don't mind eating with a bit of traffic noise there are a few tables outside.

There's nothing terribly wrong with this Panera, unless you have exotic demands like a convenient parking space. Then, of course: ha ha ha. Most of the businesses nearby have wi-fi too, so if you're getting a slow Internet connection, feel free to hop onto Starbucks or FedexOffice. On my visit, I found that they didn't have black bean soup, which was a bit of a letdown since it was one of the day's soups according to their website. But the creamy tomato soup was just as tasty, if a bit higher in calories. The tomato in the Greek salad was flavorless, but that's what one expects in the middle of January.

Every Yelper knows that the worst part of traveling with people you care about is that they sometimes don't care about where you eat. Yes, you're right, one should reconsider caring about said people, but we must soldier on. The staff at this large location somehow nestled in a lot forced all 5 of us to repeat our orders but ultimately managed to get none wrong (well besides the free sandwich one of us mistakenly received). My Egg cheese ciabatta was far from tasty (or at a reasonable temperature) but satisfying enough for morning-after-a-wedding sustenance.

  • Lizz H.

I like Panera and go there a lot, especially for informal business meetings. I wish the acoustics were better, because it does get noisy, but I do appreciate the free wi-fi. Parking at this one is often a pain - early morning and at lunch is the worst. I love to get green iced tea, and my favorite sandwich is the Bacon Turkey Bravo. The turkey on it is smoked, and it comes with bacon, smoked Gouda, lettuce, tomato and dressing. It's served on tomato basil bread, which also makes it interesting. I recently had a Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad. It has strawberries, blueberries and pineapple in it, which is nice change, and makes it a good summer choice.

This spot is nice and relaxing and always well air-conditioned. Very close to Westshore mall and has parking right out front. Bakeries and sandwiches are always good here. Great staff!

I ordered the mediterranean veggie half sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! The bread was slightly sweet but not so much that it detracts from the rest of the ingredients. I was a bit nervous because most veggie sandwiches I've had were very bland but this sandwich was full of flavor because the tomato/basil mixture was covered with a light vinegrette. I guess the only thing that detracts from the sandwich is the price. I ordered a half sandwich and it was tiny, as expected but it came out to be close to five dollars.

Im a big fan of Panera. They have a very clean and consistent joint with an awesome bakery. Being a carb junky, me going into Panera is like a drug addict walking into a Colombian cocaine factory. Yay! This is a regular breakfast stop to pickup bagels for the office. Their breakfast power sandwich is Weight Watchers friendly except when they have the free bakery samples on the counter. That ruins my whole day (calorie counting-wise). I also have business lunches catered by them. A bit pricey, but the sandwiches are excellent quality, and they deliver. They can include salad (with a vinagrette dressing that is to die for), French bread, cookies, chips, and pickels. When I need a quick lunch catered Panera is a good choice. You have got to try the Asiago cheese bagel. Its 7 Weight Watchers points but definitely worth it. And they have free wifi, so its a good spot to relax, check emails, and indulge your carb cravings. I'm a fan.

Great food for a pretty penny. I think Panera makes some good stuff but unless that bread is made of hopes and dreams, I don't need to pay that much. Other than that, this Panera is in a great location and I love the food. They have amazing sandwiches with phenomenal soups.

  • Dorian O.

The location says it all: It's in a spot near the elite area of Tampa, so the service is quite good to say the least. Their food is good, as is typical of a Panera Bread! Also, the wifi signal is very good. This is my go-to spot for business meetings with potential clients, although I tend to make my appointments at this place when it is not during lunch (where it is at its busiest). Overall, I highly recommend it.

  • Frank G.

Typically solid location for this national chain. Right across the street from the hotel I was staying in for my business trip, so it was convenient for breakfast each morning. Service was fast and friendly, and there was always plenty of coffee ready. I tried their baked egg souffle things for the first time here. They're good and filling. I think they'll be my usual breakfast choice from now on, especially since I'm getting a little tired of their bagels.

We all know and love Panera. Food is always consistent and meets expectations. The free WiFi is nice too. It's difficult to hold a conversation here during peak times, so don't plan a meeting at 8:30 or noon. No real complaints though ... and there's an outlet way in the back if you need to power up your laptop or cell phone - an added bonus!

    (3)
  • Jason C.

Consistently good, but they don't always get the take-out orders right. I'm amazed at this as they even had a manager checking all the bags today - you could tell they were messing-up on quite a few orders. I"d rather wait a minute more for the order to be right than to get the wrong order or find that something was missing from my order. To their credit, this place is extremely busy at lunch time!

So, here's a preface. I love Panera. Been to about 9 locations. Never had a problem. Except. This one. This one? Garbage. A poor representation of the franchise. So, as I said, I love Panera and I've been to a bunch of them, a bunch of times - and this one is no good. First, I walk in and can't even figure out where the counter to order is - nore can those who are around me. So we find it. I'm "greeted" with ARE YOU READY TO ORDER!?!?! by the employee. I order my standard - broccoli cheddar in a breadbowl and she, asks, in a disbelieving tone - "IN a...BREADBOWL!?". Yes, that IS what I said. Then she gives me my total. Here's what's missing - my order includes a side. Always. The offer of a drink? Always. A pastry or dessert? Always. Did any of these happen? No. I was so confused to this less-than-normal interaction, I could only add I wanted a drink. I had to get a side from those giving my food. THEN. All the places I've been to have butter out for the bread. I had to a) ask 2 employees where this was and b) it was in a far away hidden cubby? WTF. Overall, worst Panera I've been to. Employees seemed so unhappy to be there and overall, oddly set up. Too bad because Panera in general is great!

This is a good place to go if you are trying to watch your waistline while traveling for business (like I was). The only problem that I had with this place was that the parking wan't all that great. Other than that, the food is good and the service was friendly, it's pretty much like every other Panera that you've probably been in:)

I Love Panera!!! At first when I moved here I had not seen one Panera anywhere until one day leaving the Westshore mall the clouds parted and the heavens came down to the left of me where I spoted AHHHHHHH in my singing voice " PANERA BREAD". I dont know why I love this place so much maybe because of the great fresh salads or there wonderfully delish lemonade. THis panera is located in this cute little chic plaza where theres a nice boutique and a starbucks. I will always choose Panera over anything any day. YAYY Panera!

3.5 really but good location. it is absolutely packed at lunch time usually until about 2 or so. I love that the majority of booths have outlets underneath so you can plug in and work. The do shut off the wifi in an attempt to reduce number or patrons just sitting... but being one of them it really hasn't been a big deal cause I can hop on the wifi from starbucks just next door anyway. parking's a bit rough though.
