It hurts my soul to give this place 4 stars. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the peruvian style rotisserie chicken (pollo a a la brasa) at Norkys. Everything else is just so inconsistent that I sometimes wish that every aspect of the restaurant apart from the pollo a la brasa would change. I discovered this place a couple of years ago when I was feeling home sick, I hadn't been back to Peru in a while and was in peruvian food withdrawal. In Peru there is a very popular chain of restaurants that specialize in pollo a la brasa called Norkys. There was no way they had a location in Tampa so I figured it was someone just borrowing the name. I risked it and have been going back regularly ever since. The peruvian dishes outside of the pollo a la brasa are just OK. I've tried a couple of things and nothing has come close to impressing me. The organization is HORRIBLE. They have a limited amount of chickens they sell a night and a lot of people call ahead and reserve them. I would say that 90% of the time when I call ahead and give them my name and number they lose my order. When I get there, they say they never got that order and only believe me when I show them my outgoing calls and the length of time I was on the phone with them. Ridiculous, i know. Sadly, sometimes when I get there, innocently thinking one has been set away for me, ALL the pollos are gone :'( !!! I've gone regularly for years and only once did they do something about losing my order (they gave me some free salchipapa in addition to my order for the trouble). Why do I go back? It's the best peruvian style rotisserie chicken I've had in all of Florida. I expect them to lose my order and I expect to wait a long time for them to make the chicken despite calling ahead. The chicken usually comes with salad and fries. Fries are great, not too crispy. It also comes with 2 sauces, the white one is a lime-y mayo-y sauce and the other is a green spicy sauce. I always ask for ketchup to go, not sure what kind they use or if they make it themselves but I really like it. Service if you eat there is decent...it's a really small restaurant and it's minimally decorated. On many occasions they'll have soccer on. I've even seen some of the restaurant guests put their phones on speaker to play songs they want to hear.

Great place for rotisserie chicken. There was only 1 place back home that served this type of chicken. That place closed recently so I didn't get a chance to try it. My fiancee's cousin took me here for dinner. He knows all the joints that has the grinds. We had the whole chicken that came with french fries and salad. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The skin was tasty and meat was moist. The french fries was also addicting. They also serve beers.

The prices of the items are getting ridiculous. The whole chicken was originally $13.00 which at that point they were sort of pushing it due to other places around with good quality were selling it for much cheaper. They may have high demand and all but for a whole chicken shouldn't be charging almost $20.00 dollars. Another point is that there is only one staff member that we can say is kind of friendly.

Their chaufa is amazing! I been going to Norky's for years although I admit I stopped going because of their unfriendly staff and horrible organization. This week I decided to give them a chance again after a while of not eating there. I was pleasant surprise. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and the food was amazing. Glad I returned.

I was dying to eat "pollo a la brasa" so i decided to go to this restaurant. I received bad service from the server and the supposed owner. But at that point i was like it's ok. Then i went to my house 20 min away from the restaurant, and when i was about to eat, the chicken was uncooked. I went back to the restaurant and the server said she had received the same complaint about "uncooked chicken" from many customers, she then called the cook, when i tried to explain the situation to the cook, which she called herself "the owner-cook" is when the drama began. She was upset, arrogant, and start to yell at me. I said the chicken was uncooked and i did not want to get sick. So i deceided not fight back because it was not worth it. This lady threatened me, saying that i was lying and she has 16 years of experience working in that small little place with a weird smell and that many people ate raw chicken!!! At that point, i was really upset, I have never gone to a place to return any food, but in this case the situation was different. the owner was a bitch from the beginning and i paid 21 dollars for a whole chicken, which by the way i think it is overpriced. I demanded a full refund and ther server keep apologizing as she returned my money. I will never go back to that place. Horrible service, the food was uncooked, overpriced, and at no point did they care about me as a customer.

I don't know what your talking about Carlos A. this isn't suppose to be a high class restaurant. They always have the best rotisserie chicken. Let's just it's a lil gem in the city of Tampa.

Very bad service. Dubious quality foods and some rotten. Dirty atmosphere. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place.
