Kudos to the employees for (mostly) still having a smile on their faces and being pleasant at 4:30pm on Free Donut Day. The place was sheer madness. I got 2 donuts: 1 plain glazed freebie for me (yummy and fresh as always) and 1 lemonade "fancy" for my boyfriend. Despite saying he didn't want a donut he ate it and didn't offer to share with me so I assume it was really good. Be warned that the customers in the drive thru are likely...idiots. They may think nothing of 1)not pulling forward to let others in 2)blocking you in your parking spot 3)blocking Kennedy to remain in the queue. Just go inside if the line is long. There's an alley exit/entrance in the back. Really you'll get your donut faster if you just go inside.

I love donuts!!! Especially this place because they always have hot donuts when I'm in the area! Always consist and fast service! They even have a drive thru!!! Lots of donut options for whatever your heart desires! Love it!

When we walked in we were not greeted right away. The lady at the drive through window looked over at us but didn't say a word. There was also an employee grabbing a drink for themself. They looked over at us but not a word. We were not greeted until a woman came from the back to take our order. We ordered a dozen regular glazed donuts and I never thought I would say this but.....they were too sweet!!! I had one and thought that I was going to die from a sugar attack.

Celebrating national doughnut day. They were well staffed and well stocked for the big rush today. The doughnuts were delicious as always. Only recommendation, they need a larger iced tea size!

Hot fresh doughnuts are just the way to go for a family or crowd pleaser! Doughnuts from this location are always hot and fresh. Service is very friendly too! Kids love coming here to see the conveyer belt of doughnuts going through the back side of the store. You can see them working on your hot fresh order! Out of all the fast food doughnut choices, this is the company of choice for our family! Pair the doughnut with some cold milk or Coffee and voila dessert is served!!!

Newly renovated! Coffee and donuts are always good! They had holiday donuts and everyone enjoyed the snowman ones. Thought the red velvet ones were good also. They now have a couple comfy chairs to sit and relax in while you enjoy your coffee/donut.

We visit here fairly regularly. Haven't been disappointed but had a minor issue today with Jan, an elderly woman we hadn't seen before, trying to charge us $15 for an $8 order. Thankfully Trisha noticed the charge and corrected the mistake. Nonetheless the doughnuts are always fantastic and never stale. The staff is welcoming, patient, and friendly. We always seem to get lucky every time with the Hot Now :) Definitely recommend visiting this location.

I have some out-of-town clients visiting this week, and we have a jam-packed schedule of meetings -- in between trips to various wonderful Tampa eateries. So last night my business partner and I took them down to the original Columbia restaurant in Ybor City for an amazing meal, and then drove them around Ybor, Channelside, and Kennedy before taking them back to their hotel. We were pointing out various Tampa landmarks and talking about the history of our city, when suddenly.....like a beacon in the night, beckoning to the weary traveler.......there it was.......HOT NOW.......we had to do it! My clients are from California, and so what do these poor guys know about donuts? "What is this Krispy Kreme" of which you speak?" they asked. We simply smiled. rolled down the windows, and hit them with the intoxicating scent of sugary goodness wafting out from this temple of pillowy pastry perfection on Kennedy Boulevard. MUST.STOP.FOR.KRISPY.KREMES.NOW! We pulled into the parking lot and circled the back of the building to the drive-through window......."One dozen original Krispy Kremes (as hot as possible) and a second dozen chocolate-glazed," we ordered. Oh yes, my friends......we were no strangers to this Tampa landmark. We paid the the server who quickly handed over the two boxes of donuts -- one still hot, and passed them to our friends in the back seat. Moments later we heard the sounds of joy coming from the back seat of Bill's SUV, "Mmmmmmmffffmmmmmmm.....ohmyGawd........yummmmmmmmmm". Krispy Kreme has two new fans, and Bill and I were the heroes of the day!

Donuts mmmmmm. The hot light wasn't even on but the donuts were warm and so delicious. We got there after the hockey game around 10 is so thr inside portion of the store wasn't open but the drive thru was and the service was quick and the girl working was very pleasant.

Surprisingly, at 8:30am the donuts just were not as hot and fresh as they could be. They also messed up my order. Accidents happen, and the donuts were still soft and delicious. Krispy Kreme are some of the best doughnuts around. I believe a developed that opinion when I was younger. We did not have any of these shops around, but when I accompanied my mother on a distant errand and we happened to come across one, she made clear how irresistible these babies were, and we always stopped, whether the HOT NOW sign was on or otherwise. Here is my complaint. 1/2 dozed donuts cost me $7.74. That is more than $1 per doughnut. I could get a box of six hamburgers from McDonald's for less. Granted, McDonalds may or may not use real meat, there is generally NO MEAT in doughnuts, except for the Bacon Maple Doughnuts that I tried the other day, oh man was that good, I wish I could remember where it came from.... and 6 of those would be worth $7.74. And if my doughnuts this morning were hot and steamy, then maybe they would be worth the $7.74. And maybe if you are not buying in bulk, like just 1 doughnut, $1, that seems okay. BUT THIS IS THE DEAL I WANT TO SEE, 1/2 dozen donuts for under $5. Really it is not a very large discount, $0.75 times 6 doughnuts, plus tax, under $5!!!! BAM!!!! Listen Krispy Kreme, you make that deal, I am coming here at least once a week, and you are so close to my office, my cholesterol will hate me, but I will love you. For $7.74 per 1/2 dozen, you will be lucky to see me even once a month. I know I know, if ifs and buts were dollars and cents, I would have a million dollars, but not if I ate Krispy Kreme everyday with their outrageous prices, then I would be broke and I would weigh a million pounds!!! Also, Steve E, your reviews are usually spot on, but Tia S is preaching some TRUTH!!! I used to work at a joint called Tim Hortons. It was my first job when I was 16, just north of Detroit. It is a franchise started in Ontario, Canada. I believe the US stores are owned by the same parent corporation as Wendys. But back at the good old TIMMY HOs days, we used to make the doughnuts fresh, and then while I was there we switched to the tunnel oven. From that point forward, doughnuts appeared softer and fresher, but in fact, they were FAKER!!! If you are going to make the doughnuts, freeze them, ship them, and reheat them in a tunnel oven, then I surely do not want to pay $7.74 for a 1/2 dozen. I don't blame Krispy Kreme, they have shareholders to keep happy, when Dunkins been reheating FAKE doughnuts for years, I cannot blame Krispy Kreme for following the crowd, and at least some of their stores, like the Florida Ave store (again, relying on Tia S's expertise) stay true to their roots and make real FRESH doughnuts! Drive-thru moved quickly, and staff was friendly, even though I asked for 2 sprinkles, 2 iced chocolate glazed, and 2 custard filled, and the shorted me 1 sprinkle and decided to give me a cream filled instead.... THEN I got into the office and donated the only sprinkle I had to my receptionist at her request. She has been very nice lately, and some other people in my office seem to have an attitude problem lately, so she deserved a doughnut, even if it was my last sprinkle!!! CONCLUSION: Krispy Kreme, please lower your prices or go back to your roots and start making doughnuts fresh everywhere, then I will pay anything. I know you got shareholders to please, but I am a customer and a stakeholder and if you make enough other stakeholders unhappy as they learn the TRUTH about what you now call fresh.... well the shareholders will soon follow with their own kind of unhappiness. Plus Dunkins is terrible, why would you want to follow them!!!!

As I pulled into the drive-thru, I said to myself, "This is the first time I've been here in about 15 years." After this particular visit, it will be another 15 years before I do it again. Driving home after dinner on a Saturday night, I knew I wouldn't be the only one who thought dessert at Krispy Kreme would be a fun way to finish the evening. However, the employees had absolutely no ability to handle the multiple cars lined up for donuts. Sorry, but waiting 15-20 minutes for one glazed donut is not worthwhile. Also, there was actual confusion at the window about that complicated order of one donut. Not only was it not ready (How is that possible?), but after handing one employee the dollar to cover the purchase, another employee came over and attempted to hand me a dozen doughnuts. When I told her that was not my order, she corrected herself and somehow asked me for seven dollars and change. Wrong again. Finally, the initial employee came over with that one donut and while it tasted sensational, it was simply not worth the wait. In honor of this experience, Krispy Kreme should roll out a new donut at this location appropriately called "The Klusterfuck."

When I am craving baked goods, Krispy Kreme is usually my go-to. I always seem to have the best luck at arriving right when the glazed donuts are coming out of the oven. The price of a dozen is really good, especially because they are DELICIOUSLY ADDICTING!! They just melt in your mouth and before you know it, the entire dozen is gone...or at least in my case! For the most part the service is usually really fast, with a few exceptions. I know that it is Krispy Kreme, but sometimes the employees just don't really seem to care - like at all. Today when I went the guy had to ask me three separate times what my order was. I think that is the only reason why I don't give them five stars.

I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but it's impossible to resist just one, hot crispy sugar coated gem from this place after a friend demands that you stop for their big red neon sign letting you know there are fresh donuts inside. A bonus is the set up allows you watch your little donut as it travels through a gauntlet of sugar and heat before it reaches your eager face. Anyone know where I can get one of those "HOT NOW" signs??

What can I say? Hot glazed fresh KK donuts! Is there any better treat? The answer is NO!!! Nice store with friendly clerks. Very clean as well!!!

I feel bad doing this but i have to do it. I had a craving for some doughnuts which i havent had in a hot min...so we yelp and find the nearest KRISPY and we was en route...you know the drill order a dozen and get to the car so you can start inhaling them as i put in my check in but that didnt happen because they was cold as ice and hard as a brick!! I was pissed off but it was my fault the hot light wasnt on. So i will never eat here again until that red light catch my eye from down the street.

You can't resist the "HOT NOW" sign you see on Kennedy driving by. Their donuts are always fresh and they usually have every kind. Plus they are open till 11pm!

I could never figure out why in the world anyone would go to Dunkin' Donuts or anyplace else when the best doughnuts on earth are obviously at Krispy Kreme. The only problem is that I can't manage to drive by Krispy Kreme without stopping so I have to alter my route if I still have some at home from the previous day. lol Whatever you do, get 'em while they're hot.

HOT NOW, I think that says it all. Went inside and got a dozen hot glazed and a dozen assorted for the kids. Especially like the glazed sour cream, AWESOME.

Good deal on 2 dozen donuts! I love the drive thru option .. this you do not see in California! My class devoured those donuts! Worker at window was very friendly and had a great tone at 545a in morning!

These donuts are heavenly! Melt in your mouth mmm mmm good! I don't know anyone who has not experienced a Krispy Kreme donut, but if you've been living under a cave, you need to come out and try one. The original glazed is the best. My husband likes it hot, but I prefer it room temperature. People are a huge fan of that HOT sign in front letting them know those tasty glazed rings are coming through the conveyer belt (which is fun to watch), but I like them either warm or room temperature where they are still soft inside, but the glaze has hardened just enough to give it a shell. I, clearly, have eaten too many of these donuts. The Boston cremes are good too as well as the rest of their selection, but hands down, original glazed.

Hot, fresh, fast and delicious. You can't go wrong. 5 stars... no review needed!

This Krispy Kreme is closest to me but not my favorite. This location does not make the doughnuts fresh even though the HOT NOW SIGN may make you think they do. This location actually utilizes whats called a tunnel oven to warm the pre-made doughnuts so that they are "hot." Depending on when you go this is not a problem because if you receive a recent delivery, they still taste fresh. If you want the real deal freshly made hot doughnuts, go to the only branch that makes them fresh which is on Florida Ave in Tampa. This is the only branch that actually has real hot doughnuts glazed fresh out of the grease.
