Everything was good, good service, good sushi, good Thai food....nothing was great. There is better Thai and better sushi very near by. Truly nothing special.

Best Thai in South Tampa. I'm still having trouble finding a properly prepared duck with panang curry in Tampa. I like crispy, yet juicy duck. Just can't find it. Any of the duck I've tried in Tampa is way over cooked and too dry. I've had that experience here at Jasmine as well as three other Thai places in Tampa. It seems to the be Tampa way to prepare duck. Sad. Fellow Yelpers, let me know if you know somewhere! (it's the only reason they lost the 5th star) That being said, the rest of the menu is delightful. I've even grown fond of their sushi, which is pretty good for Florida sushi. (Florida is not a sushi haven by any stretch of the imagination.. you can see what I said about a sushi place in Orlando in another review). I think we've tried pretty much everything on the menu now and I'm also a fan that they don't use MSG in any of their food. Yay! I've read where the other reviews have had bad service, but Debbie, our regular server, is the best! We've been going there pretty much once a week for the last few months.

We have been ordering here for years. We usually do takeout dinner and order the yum beef salad, which is tangy/spicy/sweet and delicious, pineapple chicken curry, and banana coins with coconut ice cream. So so good! Today I went in for their lunch special. I got a half order of amazing chicken, a JB tempura roll, soup and eggroll for $13. Yummy in my tummy! The servers are so nice! And presentation and ambiance is beautiful!

Best Thai. Gorgeous presentation. Attentive staff. Wonderful food. I have been here numerous times and it's always the best :)

  • Malinda L.

We had the Pork/vegetable Curry and the Hot Pepper Basil chicken and both entrees were great. The presentation was beautiful, service was excellent and the place is gorgeous. We will definitely be returning to enjoy more of their menu items. They are supposedly opening up a sushi bar soon as well.

Coconut soup. So frikken good I dropped the spoon, along with my manners, and drank it straight from the bowl. The panang tofu was also just right for my sensitive-to-spicy-heat palate. I have yet to get anythign here that wasnt incredibly tasty. Plus, the wait staff is attentive and quick to make suggestions if you get stuck trying to pick something off the menu...as I often am.

Finally tried this place as I work close by... I wanted to check out what my co workers were talking about. Got take out. For 3 items including Eggroll appetizers shrimp pad Thai and chicken massaman curry the total was around $30 First off the decor is beautiful And The owner is super friendly Now lets get to the food.. The massaman was authentic and just straight up delicious. I asked for medium spicy and it was perfect, The Eggrolls were missing that usual Thai clear noddles but nonetheless were tasty The pad Thai was perfectly cooked, large shrimps on top and they were not cheap with the shrimp ..they were nice and big and juicy Overall great Thai ! Im glad I tried it The owner says they don't always have sticky rice and mango and that I should call ahead if I wanted it ... Will have to go back and try !

This is our second Thai place since we've been here in Tampa, and I must say that we were quite pleased. The inside was very nice, clean, and somewhat unique(the seats with pillows that made it feel much nicer than sitting at a dining table). The staff was very friendly, and the food was good. We had a couple of sushi rolls which were quite tasty. You really tasted the fish in their rolls whereas in some places they cover the taste of the fish with various sauces. Here the sauce concoctions took a back seat to the fish and complemented it just right. The presentation was also really nice. The Thai food was good. My daughter's beef Thai fried rice was surprisingly good, my wife's tom ka soup was very good, and my chicken pad see ew wasn't bad. With a coke, lemonade, and my Thai iced tea, our total came to just under $60 pre-tip. It was also a bonus that we had some nice(and useful) conversation with the family next to us. So why not 5 stars?(here's where the spoiled kid in me that grew up in Southern California and spent time in Thailand starts talking) Because while it was all good, it isn't quite on the same level as the other Thai places(mostly in Cali) that I've been too(and reviewed), meaning that I can't truthfully say that this is as good as it gets. I am a fan though, and perhaps you will be too if you give this place a shot. I do recommend that you go here, as we will probably be back!

Jasmine Thai and Sushi Restaurant really makes a special effort with presentation. The sushi rolls are like art. The lunch special is a good deal; you can get two sushi rolls plus soup and an egg roll for $10, or one Thai dish and one sushi roll for $12. I have been here three times and everything was very delicious. If you want it very spicy, be sure to ask - I forgot the first time and it was mild for my taste, but I guess they have to be careful not to burn the tongues of the less adventurous.

Jasmine Thai in Carrollwood used to be my favorite location, so I thought the Westshore one couldn't be that far off. Well, I was wrong. To start I had the pork/shrimp spring rolls, they were not wrapped in the usual beautiful flaky wrapper. I couldn't identify what was used, and I'm sorry I didn't ask. It wasn't bad, but not as good as I have had. We also got the Tom Kha, the broth was really good, milky, spicy. The downfall of the dish was that the chicken was dry. Last thing was the Thai fried rice with beef. Not a big fan, it tasted like maybe too much fish sauce? Again the trend for the night seemed to be dry meat, as the beef was dry also. The service was slow, lots of waiting, and it wasn't that busy, but the servers were nice. We didn't have sushi, but a few of the diners were, and they have a sushi bar.

Best Thai food I've ever had! Everything about our experience at this location was great. I went with my parents and a few of their friends who were in from out of town so we called ahead and requested a big table. When we got there the host asked if we were having a special occasion and we said no, just going out to dinner. They took us to a more private table in the back anyway and the host explained what all of the specials were and was very helpful answering our questions (some of my parent's friends had never eaten Thai before) . The menu had all of the Thai staples, but the list of specials was so impressive, the server had to come back twice because none of us could decide what to get! It all sounded so delicious. The server helped us decide between the dishes we were stuck on and every recommendation she gave us was right on the money. The food was fantastic. Everyone at our table ate every last bite of their meal, which is saying something in that group! I got one of the shrimp specials (tempura battered shrimp with a sweet and sour sauce - it also had chunks of pineapple, water chestnut, green pepper and onion) and it was the best sweet and sour sauce I've ever had! I wish I could have taken a jar of it home! I'd pour it on everything. We also tried a pumpkin curry, a red curry, a yellow curry, and the crab rangoon was amazing and definitely unlike any crab rangoon I've ever had! The filling had curry in it and was really great with the dipping sauce. They brought us one more than we had people in our party and we had to fight over who got the last one. The restaurant was very clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. It was a Friday night so we were expecting it to be crowded, but it wasn't at all. The staff was very attentive but not bothersome and at the end of the meal they brought out some Thai fried donuts with sweetened condensed milk that were incredibly delicious - and calorie free, I'm sure. ;o) Great meal. We will definitely be going back and my parents were really looking forward to trying the $40 pre fixe couples menu on their next date night!

Sad to say, the negative experiences are becoming more common. This has been a great place to gather with friends on Saturday night and enjoy a delicious meal. We have come for many years. Recently, we had to walk out after 1 hour and 45 minutes of practically no service whatsoever. We were shocked. People who arrived after we did enjoyed full meals and left while we kept having to flag people down to place drink orders, ask for the drinks twice, beg to place appetizer and meal orders and finally ask again twice for our food only to see nothing in the kitchen involved our order. Later we learned several other friends have had similar experiences, most also walking out or wishing they had, and now I see others on yelp telling the same story. We will not be back. Way to rid yourselves of loyal, fairly frequent customers who also used to recommend you to others! That night we went to Ghengiz Khan on MacDill and had a great meal. Even though we walked in there at 9:30, they still took care of us without any rush or concern that we might run past closing. We now frequent Lemon Grass Thai on Kennedy and Si-Am Thai downtown (next to Tampa Theatre) instead of Jasmine Thai on Westshore. What a shame to alienate us in a town with such viable alternatives. Good Luck, Jasmine Thai..... it was nice knowin' ya!

We were so mad that we had not been to this place sooner. We live so close and pass this place all the time and it is like a best kept secret. You would never know how awesome it is from the outside. Their sushi was beautifully artistic and tasted as good as it looked. I also felt that the sushi portions were really good and the price was about average for sushi in this area. The atmosphere was charming and quaint. The service was prompt. We liked the Spicy Tuna Lava.

If you reiterate Thai hot... They will make sure the food is to the correct spice level. I tried the veggie noodles Thai hot and they were fantastic!

Best sushi I've had in town, and everything else is amazing as well! Lemongrass used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in town until I came here. I've been going here for years now and love how the staff always remember me! The food is very well priced and generously portioned. The ambiance and decor are perfect. I love quaint little places like this; they are always the best!

Yummy food, pretty décor, friendly staff, prices are reasonable. I love to get take-out from here!!!!! ***FYI, if you are a soda lover like my boyfriend, they do NOT have fountain drinks so you will pay for each drink you get! Coconut soup is awesome and I am a sucker for their coconut curries and chicken satay appetizer

I lived down the street from this place for a few years so I stopped by at least once a week. I'm always extremely pleased with the service and the food. The sushi is absolutely exquisite!! It's always fresh!! You must try the Casanova roll!!

I heard about Jasmine Thai from a few people but it is one of those hidden gems you sort of forget about. From the outside it doesn't look like anything too special but inside it has a beautiful Thai inspired atmosphere. Very modern and up to date decor with a Thai flare. To start I had the coconut soup (Tom-Kha) with chicken. It was absolutely delicious and had a generous amount of chicken, mushrooms, onions and peppers. It also had light notes of the lime leaves they use. I could have eaten another bowl it was so delicious! For my lunch entree I had the grilled shrimp and mango salad. Perfectly portioned with peppers, onions, mangoes, shrimp and lettuce with a ginger-soy vinaigrette. For lunch Jasmine That has so many options and combos where you can choose one sushi roll and one lunch entree for $12.00 which also includes a soup and egg roll. Jasmine Thai has taken over as my favorite Thai food in Tampa!

My rating: 3.5 stars. The staff is really friendly, restaurant looks nice and clean, lots of options in a menu: Curries, noodles, soups, sushi, etc. (Still trying to get used to the fact that Thai restaurants in United States sell sushi! In Canada it never happens. Thai is Thai, Japanese is Japanese.) We ordered: - Tom Kha soup with chicken (good, I strongly recommend if you like Coconut based soups), - Tom Yum soup with vegetables (very good. Loved the fact that it was full of veggies and tofu, not just few pieces swimming in a broth. This soup was very flavorful and little bit spicy), - Eel sushi (delicious. It's great when you can actually taste the eel not just rice - as in other restaurants. Would order again. And for $7 it's great deal), - Red Curry with chicken (here is my disappointment: it was bland, missing salt maybe? Not sure but in my opinion curry is the signature dish in Thai cuisine! It has to be good! My husband actually said: "This is first time when I'm eating so bland curry!" I added salt but it was still missing some spices.

Best sushi in town! Curry was also fantastic...some of the best I've had. And to round it off, fried bananas with coconut ice cream. To die for. Highly recommend!! For reference, we had: empire roll x2, spicy tuna lava roll, Brazilian roll and three friends (curry + rice). So. Good.

Went here for a work lunch today at the recommendation of my coworkers. Definitely one of the top Thai restaurants I've been to, and the lunch prices are great. For $12 I got a cup of soup, a small eggroll, a sushi roll, AND a lunch entree. I ordered the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna lava roll, and both were delicious. The service was quick too, which is important when you're going out for lunch at work. I'll definitely be coming back.

Ordered the steamed dumplings, thai spring roll it was awful, waited almost two hours paid 25.00 (i was robbed) and the spring rolls tasted like they came from the microwave, the steamed dumplings were gross and the food was freezing by the time it got here, NEVER AGAIN!!! Dont waste your time on this place.

This was the best way to satisfy my sushi/sea food craving. I have the sea food ceviche and it was plentiful with yummy99 sea creatures. I felt like I was a mermaid under the sea having dinner with all the sea creature options I can only dream of such as scallops, shrimp, octopus and various other fishys. The citrus sauce was just perfect. Very well decorated and and I love the design of the menu with the elephant on the cover. Love the place so much my friends and I were the last ones to leave the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, I only wish they could have split my parties checks. My party and I had great conversations with one of the staff member which made me feel very comfortable Looking forward to my next trip to try out the Thai food there.

My first experience in Thai and honestly nothing to complain about wonderful curry and delicious noodle dishes I have had so far I give them four stars because every time my hubbs has eatin sushi here his stomach usually gets upset

Four of us shared the appetizer sampler and we each ordered a different curry dish with different meats. Everyone was pleased. I had pineapple curry with tofu and asked for it extra crispy. The appearance was beautiful, the place was clean. They were all friendly and the food was delicious. Perhaps a little on the expensive side but I'd say worth it.

  • Alex L.

I ordered the green curry and the Tom Kha soup. The soup was good but the curry was bad. The green beans on the curry dish were entirely raw and the chicken had no flavor at all. My girlfriend wanted to order a dish with a substitution of onion for bell pepper which they wanted to charge $2 for! Ridiculous.. She ended up ordering the spring rolls with shrimp and pork. Blah. It was a flavorless pate mixture and the outer skin was so hard and soooo greasy. Instant heartburn. The waitress didn't even ask us what we wanted to drink. All menu items are pre- prepared and not freshly made. It's all just thrown together when ordered which is why there is no flavor. And most menu items have similar ingredients, no variety. They need to re-write their menu. We paid $40.00 for the worst Thai we've ever tasted.

I had lunch with my girlfriend here at Jasmine Thai. Love the stir fried noodles. They know how to make them right. This place might not be the best Thai but pretty good one. The service is great! The parking could be a pain, however the restaurant is clean and has good food.

Wow. So delicious. Our waitress was a little 'drill instructor' in her demeanor - but the food was fantastic. I had the chicken pineapple curry (medium) which was superb. Lots of pineapple, super rich sauce...mmm. The rice was quite good on its own too. My friends had a variety of plates, including 'jungle curry' which is coconut free, fried tofu (which was fine if you like that sort of dreck) and fried veggie rolls - all of which made them quite happy. Thank goodness for menu variety. The decor is quite nice... somehow it seems a lot larger than when it was Fresco many years ago. The owner also has a location in N Tampa, and one in Brandon owned by her brother. All in the family I suppose - whatever the food was tops. Be back soon!

I've been to Jasmine Thai 3 times and loved it each time! My boyfriend and I typically get sushi rolls but I've also tried the Tofu Pad Thai without egg and it was delicious-- very generous portion presented in a star-shaped bowl. Any vegetarians or pescatarians beware that their Wonton Soup comes with Pork or Shrimp and you must specify upon ordering.. found this out the hard way today :(. Great, local place that seems to have consistently good food.

A really nice place to get ok Thai food. Soda is served by the can. Chicken in my Chili/Basil is abundant but veggies are lessened. Sauce was blah, needs more flavor. Soup was probably from bullion, just thinking out loud. Clean, though. Nice on the inside.

My fiancee and I were in the mood for something a bit spicy for dinner and only living about a mile away from here, we decided to try it out. I did read the reviews before we went so we were both a bit skeptical. We walk in and we are warmly greeted by the waitstaff. The interior is set up very nice and intimate. I couldn't believe how cute it was. It wasn't very crowded for a Tuesday night so we were well taken care of. Typically when we go "Thai", I always order Pad Thai. This night, I was craving curry. I ordered a spicy conch roll and the Thai hot red curry chicken. My fiancee ordered some coconut infused soup (Thai hot) and the Amazing Chicken (Thai hot). Like I said, we both were in the mood for spicy. I am a cilantro lover and even though cilantro was not on my curry, the glady brought me a huge plate of it which I poured all over my chicken curry. The food was absolutely fantastic. There were only (2) waitresses working this night but they were both attentive, funny and accomodating. The sushi maker even walked over to our table to make sure my one roll I ordered, was to my liking. I've read that people say this isn't authentic Thai but whatever it was, we'll be back. We each had (2) thai beers, one appetizer and our entrees and we spent less than $45.00. This place is a must-go-to!

I'm not usually over in the Westshore area, but happened to be last week with a co-worker and decided to try this place for lunch. The parking was tight; it shares a small lot with the connecting stores in the strip mall, but I was able to find a spot without too much trouble. Walking in, I noticed how the restaurant was decorated. It's nice and open, and has a side room (of decent size) where the hand-rolled sushi is made visible from the dining tables. Not too 'kitschy' like other Thai-themed restaurants in the area. Their menu is pretty standard for a Thai restaurant, as was their wine and beer list. They offered great lunch specials which I partook in. Every entre is served with a soup and eggroll appetizer, and then it came time for my spicy noodle. The food overall was very good, and I thought the portion size (including the complimentary soup/eggroll) was outstanding. Service was good and quick; not too much chit-chat but friendly enough. I'll surely be back next time I'm over that way!

  • Todd G.

Service was terrible. The specialty rolls are all $11-20 and not worth it. If the prices were closer to other places, it would have been acceptable. This place is mediocre, but holds itself out as something special; it is not.

  • Dan O.

Awesome Thai and super, friendly staff! I definitely will be going here regularly. It's the sort of place you drive by and wonder, but a co-worker recommended it to me and glad he did! I like Thai hot and and love Pad Thai, and both were on point! They're Thai repertoire is superb and there is a variety of other items from Tapas to Sushi. The service was quick, efficient and very friendly--can't ask for much more than that anywhere! Prices were quite reasonable too! Ask for Thai Hot!

I love this Jasmine Thai Restaurant it is a full service restaurant and bar featuring authentic Thai cuisine. I went here for dinner and i love this place the decor it is a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere while indulging in pad thai, they have so many great curries, fancy duck, grilled salmon & scallop, or more to select from. I love there deserts Banana, Crunchy Banana Coins, or fresh coconut ice cream. My family and I love Thai food, and we had a place that we adored here in Tampa, but were surprise to hear from a friends in Indy say that there was not as good Thai place up here. Luckily, we tried Jasmine Thai and can now correct them. Our first time there was a great experience, with wonderful food and outstanding service. My family got the chicken Tom Yum soup, which was perfect for a summer day, light and clean and full of white chicken meat and not a hint of gristle (which I find is rarely the case with many Asian restaurants). I had the chicken pad thai which was perfectly cooked with the noodles done just enough (even our potentially ex-favorite place overcooks the noodles). The Thai iced coffee was excellent as well, not too sweet or bitter. The spring rolls were nothing special, but tasty enough. We can't wait to go back.

Jasmine thai is one of my favorite places to go for peanut sauce. I normally do not like anything sweet with my dinner, but peanut sauce is the exception and Jasmine Thai does it very well. The portions are substantial. I usually have some left over to take home and enjoy the next day. I always get their hot Ginger tea. It is fantastic and they serve it sweetened with honey which makes it my dessert everytime. The only odd thing about this restaurant is that it is always empty. It may be the location because the food is great! Atleast you will never have a hard time getting a table.

The decor is pleasant, the atmosphere is soothing and the food is excellent. One of the best Thai restaurants in Tampa. Their wine list is also reasonable and varied. My wife had the Grilled salmon & shrimp which was served with Panang curry, coconut milk, crushed peanuts, bell peppers, and mixed vegetables and she really liked it. I had the Jungle Curry with tofu and mixed vegetables and I also enjoyed this meal. I also had one of their Tom Kha Coconut Soups and as a soup aficionado I must say this was also excellent. Overall a enjoyable place and we will be back. 8-29-10 - We have been back several times since I first wrote this review. Sadly, every time since then the dining experience has deteriorated. Our last visit was especially disappointing: my wife had the usual salmon and shrimp curry dish. The fish was clearly not fresh, the shrimp were totally dried out. Once again, I had the Tom Kha soup and the Jungle curry with tofu. The soup came and was followed immediately by the Jungle curry. So, by the time I fished the soup the Jungle Curry had to be returned to be reheated. When it came back, the broth that previously came with the food had somehow disappeared. I mentioned this to the waitress but she just shrugged. My food was OK but the tofu was clearly soggy. I have updated our review to reflect this latest experience and don't think we will be back and are now looking for another Thai favorite.

I just moved to the South Tampa area and have been looking for a great Thai place and Jasmine Thai fulfilled the role! I've eaten here several times before and it's always been great. The massaman curry is very delicious; peanuty, thick and authentic tasting. I'm currently eating at te restaurant now as I write this and just had the red curry which is fantastic! Very fresh and nice texture with the coconut milk and vegetables. The Pad Thai is excellent as well as the sushi bar (the sushi chef is great with arrangements!). The food presentations are very appealing to the eye and they taste even better. The ambience is very relaxed and the decor is great with lots of color, wood and Thai artistry. The staff are professional, courteous and friendly. The kitchen also pushes the food out very quickly without compromising the quality of appearance. Overall, this is my go-to Thai restaurant in South Tampa and I highly suggest you give it a try!

Service was terrible. The specialty rolls are all $11-20 and not worth it. If the prices were closer to other places, it would have been acceptable. This place is mediocre, but holds itself out as something special; it is not.

Fresh Thai food with big menu. The atmosphere is nice and clean, with great service. Take out is just as good as eating in. The peanut dressing on salad is addictive. The pineapple curry has cut vegetables over jasmine rice and really good option for vegetarians and vegans. Husband always gets the beef with broccoli. The spice style can very from trip to trip so we now go lighter and then ask for the spice tray.

This has become one of my favorite places the food is delicious! Service is always friendly and prompt parking is a little hard to find be sure to get there early or be patient. I fluctuate between the combo with the sushi and Currys or straight curry dishes there all up amazingly delicious! The soup is homemade the spring rolls are made fresh daily.

To my surprise this is a decent romantic restaurant hidden in a semi run-down strip plaza... In the middle of a residential zone. My friend had the usual pad Thai which I did not want. I chose a stir fry option which to my surprise was sweet rather than spicy. It was perfectly cooked nothing was soaked or soggy. Or undercooked. If you're looking for a nice inexpensive sit- down and not too far from home, I found it for you. Don't have to thank me.

The sushi I had was great! Sat at a table by the sushi bar and the chefs were friendly :) The fish was fresh and the avocado was ripe. I had the rainbow roll. I also had the green curry chicken with rice which was pretty good. It came out after I finished my sushi (a pet peeve of mine is when restaurants bring you all of your food at once!). Flavor was good, green beans were crisp and chicken was good. I would definitely come here again and try more of the traditional Thai dishes and sushi!

5 stars because I was happy with everything. We went on vday so it was busy, but service was still pretty quick and very friendly. I am a land lover do ordered the chicken pineapple curry.. Yum! The place is cozy, not overly decorated, but some nice bamboo decor and cozy seats we had a large group so 1/2 of us got cozy couch like chair that I loved. The test of our party had sushi. They said if was delish.. Great job! You have earned my business again

This place is a tad pricey but it is consistently good and they give generous portions. I could eat the Pad Thai on a weekly basis. They also offer different variations of spicy that you can even get on the side if you're unsure of how hot you want it. Very nice staff there as well!

I had the Yum chicken and steamed dumplings. Both were excellent. The device was excellent also. We will be going back for sure. This is my daughters favorite place to eat. The sushi looked very fresh but I didn't try it. My wife and daughter ate that.

I just returned from a group lunch outing to Jasmine Thai and Sushi. There were eight of us and due to having called ahead (and arriving before the lunchtime rush), we were seated promptly. There are a series of lunch specials which include your choice of sushi and entree plus soup and a spring roll. I had Chicken Pad Thai with a Spicy Calamari roll -- excellent. Everyone in my party enjoyed their lunch as well. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking lot is small and fills up fast, so getting back out and on to the roadway can be a little tricky. Great place -- highly recommended based upon my experience today.

I had to change my review on this location after a bad experience. The food was still very good, but the service was poor. The first time I visited this location, it was practically empty at lunch time on a weekday. it was wonderful and the food was quick and delicious. This past visit was less than desirable. The place was packed so even though there were open seats, no server could get to me to actually seat me for several minutes (more than 5, less than 10). Once I was seated, I quickly put in my order since the place was so busy and I knew I was limited on time for my hour lunch. Although my soup and spring roll came right out, I finally had to ask for the bill and my food to go as it took almost 40 minutes to get my meal. Even then, I was standing at the door, ready to bolt as soon as she brought me my food packed to go. I'm not sure if they are just not normally that busy or were understaffed in the kitchen, but the service alone that day would deter me from visiting again, regardless of how good the food was. Another thing, because they were rushing to get my food out to me, the baked seafood on top of my volcano roll was overdone and basically burnt around the edges. I guess I shouldn't complain since it was still edible, but it was thrown together and burnt which tells me little care was put into getting it out to me.

This place used to be very good, but the new owners (and new chef) are terrible. Avoid, if you are looking for good, authentic Thai. I ordered from here the other day and both the Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups were tasteless, like they were made with more water than anything else. If by any chance you have been here within the last few months and you think this food is good, trust me, Thai food is A LOT better than this.

Ok I'm super excited to write about this one. I am very impressed...very! It's close to home and a small local joint. I've been wanting to check out because it has my favorite...sushi!! So we go in and wow love all the bamboo, art work, and great vibe. So we are welcomed immediately and offered a seat. We go in and are checking the seating out which offers two very cozy rooms. Some seating has cushioned benches. We sat at a two too but were checking the place out so our server comes over and asks if we prefer another seat. We kind of like the benches that look comfortable. So he offers to relocate us. We sit in a really great spot and order waters that arrive with lime and the miso. Miso soup is perfect with just the right amount of chopped green onions and a nice size serving as well. Then we order a few basic rolls just to see what this place has to show since we are somewhat "sushi snobs". We order the rainbow, red dragon and spicy tuna rolls. Hello fresh fish! Amazing rainbow roll so pretty in color and flavorful! They really did treat us well to. We decided to tip well as the server popped several jokes with is and literally everyone staff member checked on us or chatted with us and they had a fair amount of business on Friday night. When I was paying I mentioned that our server was super amazing and very friendly. The lady checking us out said he was the owner. Great job and I'm even more amazed that the owner was serving tables with his staff. I do believe I found a S Tampa gem and a new favorite for amazing sushi and great service with a beautiful location. A must try.

Overall this place is great. The food was delicious and the decor was elegant and classy. The only negative thing I have to say is our waitress was rude and throughout our meal seemed to be rushing us to finish. At one point she even took my plate away as we were all clearly still eating. If it wasn't for her I would have given this place 4 stars.

This place is decent. The food is a little above average, but the atmosphere and waiters are really friendly. I will come again.

I have had many meals at Jasmine Thai as well as take out and been pleased with the service and food until last week when placing a take out order. We were scolded on the phone because the order was taking too long and the restaurant was busy. It was impossible to talk over the woman scolding us which only took more time. Finally the order was placed and we were told 30 mins to one hour. We arrived at the restaurant 45 mins later only to wait a good 20 mins for someone to actually look for our order. After waiting even longer for them to search and search, each time disappearing into the kitchen, we were told that the order was never put in and that it would be another 30 mins to one hour for the food. We left empty handed, without even so much as an apology! I have never been treated so rudely at any establishment. Needless to say Jasmine Thai is off my list. There are other Thai restaurants with comparable if not superior food that I am sure would appreciate my business. Beware ordering take out or visiting at a busy time....not to mention the parking lot is a nightmare.

2 for 2 on bad service, mediocre food. I literally saw multiple tables walk out because of extended wait times. Also, ordered take out, the order was completely wrong, I had to go back up to get correct food, no apologies, no refund (had to pay for their mistake), food is not that good and they REALLY don't seem to care about their customers.

I had lunch with my girlfriend here at Jasmine Thai. Love the stir fried noodles. They know how to make them right. This place might not be the best Thai but pretty good one. The service is great! The parking could be a pain, however the restaurant is clean and has good food.

The food is fresh & flavorful. The restaurant is clean & service is very friendly. Jasmine Thai is great for date night! I dare you to try Thai hotness in your meal...you'll regret it!

The food here is awesome....went for lunch, and the service was quick and friendly - the "big bowls" on the lunch menu were under $6 and offered some great basic Thai food combos (in a bowl, of course). Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu. Very comfy seating too.

Best spring rolls I've had in a long time and the crab rangoon with the curry is delicious as well. I had the fancy Duck entree and while the duck was cooked good with a nice crispiness to it, I found the food using excessive amounts of sugar. In fact, I felt like I got a sugar overload while being there. Very much geared to the American palate. My guest got their food on the cold side and while the flavors were good with their red curry chicken, the fact that everything was so sweet overpowered the food. Still, I would go back to give it another try, if anything for those spring rolls.

enjoy the food alot but what was rude was the server she was the old lady one.....when she took my order she put her note pad on the table and told me to hurry up and just stared at me. I was just like oookkkk? it wasnt to busy i have no idea why she was so rude. Me and my fiance was going to walk out but we were so hungry. When the food arrive I enjoy it alot. I wanted to yell at the server but i didnt want her tampering with my dish lol.....be going back only because of the FOOD! as for the server you need to work on people skills even if it was a rush control your attitude and keep it professional.

First Thai restaurant we ate at since moving to Tampa from NYC/Long Island. The food here is excellent and could easily be at home in NY. Take my word for it and don't miss this place.

I order the pad thai with chicken, Tom kha soup, and sometimes yellow curry chicken and have always enjoyed their food. I've eaten in the restaurant on a date and think it was a good choice because it's not expensive and can be romantic. This is the Jasmine restaurant off West Shore.

This restaurant just opened up on South Westshore and has definately been a welcome addition to the area. In the week and a half I was at my parents house I ate here twice and was disappointed. Although unassuming from the outside I found the indoor decor comfortable. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. Although I would recommend Sukhothai before here, I enjoyed both the proximity and the food.

I've now eaten here several times. Each time, something different. Each time, the food has been great. Never a problem, incredibly tasty dishes, reasonable prices and fast and attentive service. The pad thai is very good, as in their panang curry. The soups and their lunch bowl meals are excellent. Really, if you want good Thai, this is the place to go.
