Only ever go here for pizza. It is great. $10.70 on a take out 16" pie that is better than any chain pizza place I've ever been to. Large selection of pies. The restaurant and bar are always empty when I go in. But I do see people also get takeout. Run by a hungarian family, they are all very nice immigrants, that wait on you and caring staff. I will be back!

It was almost fifteen minutes ahead of schedule, so that was an upside. The Gyro was okay, the breadsticks with the pasta were just, plain and gross. The chicken Alfredo was edible, but thick and gloopy, though the chicken itself was tasty. The bacon cheese fries however, were disgusting. Literally cold, hammy pieces of what did not taste like bacon, with unmelted cheese and cold, stiff fries.

The pictures and reviews of this place really say it all, but I wanted to chime in here that the only way I even heard about this place is that a skeevy guy wearing his street clothes snuck into my hotel and slipped a menu under my door, but not before peeping through the window of my room. Creepy staff, gross looking food, and they are willing to trespass in order to distribute their menus. After reading the reviews, I suppose they have to.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT order anything from this place. The first problem was they forgot several items from our order, including our drinks. Also, the delivery man did not know how to use his portable credit card reader and I had to spend at least 15 minutes waiting in the hotel lobby with him as he tried to figure it out. Food was terrible and the service was even worse.

Terrible food and rude service. I stayed at the Wingate Hotel on Fowler. Upon waking up from a nap I found a flyer for this and another local delivery service had been slipped under my door - that should have been a sign of a less than reputable company but I digress. As soon as I call someone shouts "please hold" into the phone and silence ensues. How nice. I order a chicken Caesar salad with Italian dressing, potato skins, and a piece of over priced key lime pie. Each item I had questions about and the lady on the phone had to ask questions and shout at the kitchen help - okay fine hope she learns so the next guy isn't held up. She says an hour for delivery - being a Friday night I dealt with it. The time elapsed was at least one hour and fifteen minutes and was delivered by a dirty looking person barely able to speak English. Okay fine - learn English and at least try but for fuck's sake be presentable. Now on to the food. My chicken Caesar salad that was advertised with crisp romaine lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese turned out to be wilted iceberg lettuce, soggy old croutons, and what cheese? Wtf. The potato skins were pathetic and probably the best part of this so called meal. They looked like a microwaved meal. The key lime pie was tiny, tasted crappy, and seemed like it may have been heated to thaw it out. Certainly NOT homemade. Overall the service, dirty people, and terrible food should be noted by anyone hungry enough to order food from a menu slipped under their door... I wonder if the kitchen of this place is filthy - people like this just do not give a fuck. I would suspect the local health inspector should visit soon. Do NOT bother folks.

Horrible!! The food tastes really bad. The quality is not good at all. Called to complain and have them collect the food and issue a refund and the person on phone refused and hung up. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR BETTER QUALITY FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The pizza was horrible. It was greasey and thrown together without a care. It was not proportionate, one had only half the bacon on it and another barely had any pepperoni and we asked for double. The pizza tasted realy bad as well. They delivered the 2-liter soda hotter than the pizza 1.5 hours after we ordered it. Then when we called to complain, the manager kept asking what's wrong with the pizza even after we described the issue. He ended the call with, "I have sold over 300 pizza's today, there is nothing wrong with them, your not getting your money back". A definite no to this place. STAY AWAY!!!

"Stay a way from this place" The owners are crooks they take your money and over charge for really bad food. I'll be happy when this place is closed and the owner's are in hand cufs. The pizzas where cold and skimpy on the toppings and it took two hrs for the food to show up. And they got the orders wrong when I calld to ask for the right orders I had to call back four times and I got the owner and he was rude to the core he said No.... I will not make more new pizza for you and he hung up on me WOW. So i calld back to ask for a refund of my money he told me no you won't be getting your money back So yes they have unacceptable customerservice as well. It's not the whore riffic food they serve to the public that gets me hot under the caller but the fact that they galjou you and refuse to refund any money even if they get it wrong.

I was in Tampa last weekend staying at a hotel. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and some cheese fries to be delivered. The Philly was horrible, dry and very little meat but hey it was edible and I was starving! Then I continued onto the bacon cheese fries.... There was a huge, black, long hair melted into the cheese. Now I've worked restaurants and I'm a pretty understanding person but I was not about to continue eating those fries. I called the pizzeria and the man who answered was very sympathetic and said he could give me another order. I said I'd rather have anything else on the menu than those fries. We wound up settling on a slice of cake which was actually two dollars less than the fries but I didn't even care about the price difference. It was no biggy, just wanted this to be made right. Ten minutes later the gentlemen called me back and said his manager would only give me a new order of cheese fries. I explained I seriously was grossed out and please just put the money back on my card. The guy said he would ask his manager then call me back. An hour later I decided to call to check up. A woman answered and said "oh I heard about this. It's my understanding you can get another order of fries" I explained I'd really rather the money back or anything else. She said she'd have her manager call me once he was back in ten minutes. An hour later I called back and a girl picked up the phone. I told her I was waiting to talk with the manager. She told me "oh none of the managers work today. You'll just have to call back tomorrow or something but we are really busy here and I'm new here so I don't know what to do for you." Now I'm grumpy. If the manager didn't work at all why were you people telling me he would call me all night? She understood and said "hold on I'll get you the managers number and you can call him". She sat down the phone then about 5 minutes later hung up on me. 30 minutes later after trying to get someone to pick up the phone she finally answered again. I said "hi I'm sorry I think we were disconnected." She said "oh yeah actually I talked to my manager they said we can send u more cheese fries." Ugh!! At this point I was annoyed but ok "ok fine. That's fine please send cheese fries. You now where I am and what room right" she said "yep no problem they will be there soon". An hour later I have no cheese fries and now I'm sleepy and annoyed. I call back. She answers and goes "oh actually my manager called and since we are too busy to bring you fries he will just refund your card". Huh an phone call would have been cool. At this point it's about 10:00 pm. I originally placed this order around 4:45 pm and received my food around 5:30. Now 4 days later I have yet to get any reimbursement on my card. I called again this afternoon and got "oh the manager will be in in a couple of hours call back then"..... I'm starting to think the manager actually doesn't exist. The cheese fries were over $8 if you're wondering... Guess I'm out the $8 all due to horrible customer service and apparently a lack of hygiene while cooking.

Terrible food and terrible service. Been hung up on by the rude staff multiple times. Had to chase their goons off of my hotels property countless times. They sneak into the hallways and slide their menus under the doors to try and get customers. Drivers always smell like shit and look homeless.. Have had countless complaints about their food since the guests at the hotel think we support these idiots. DONT EAT HERE.

I do this on Yelp as the business will ask tip when ordered I make a comment tip is a service if my order is correct and since I am ordering from a hotel I expect utensils to be brought by delivery person. I ordered wings, Pizza (2 topping) and a antipasti salad. Everything was perfect when arrived food was hot and all that I mentioned above. Being a secret shopper in the past and writing reviews this is the best way to get your food properly. It is the delivery persons job to make sure these things happen his/her tip (wages) depend on it. $32 order left a 10 tip it was well earned. Because the food was hot and utensils and drink ice cold I the food tasted better as well. Temperature of food is an important taste.

Greasy, bad food... limp, soaked-in-grease fries, wings, also greasy and even after rinsing, the grease was permeated throughout. Also, don't get the shrimp... Obviously canned small shrimp with massive breading to make them look bigger (also, greasy). I had mine delivered. BTW, not even one napkin included with the order to soak everything up. Maybe if you are actually in the bar and ordering food after drinking, you won't be able to tell the beyond-poor quality of this food. Not a place for any meal or snack. No stars!!!!

Horrible. Got a cuban with 2 paper thin slices of ham and soggy tomatoes and lettuce. Also got a philly which from the menu is supposedly their "best seller" and it was garbage. Horrible restaurant , Stay away.

  • Yaser H.

So disrespectful!!!! I called to place an order for a philly steak and cheese sub and asked for extra meat and cheese cuz the last time I ordered it it was a bit empty... I have b o problem paying a bit extra for it but the guy was like its 2.99 for the extra meat and 1.99 for the extra cheese.... What does that make it a 15 dollar sub? I just geeked like I was getting ripped off... Then he rudely yelled I don't have time do you want it or not!? Horrible service I will never order from there again!

The wife and I ordered a couple of pizzas from this place tonight because we are still settling into the new house and while I'd love to tell people my kitchen is the creme de la creme, it hasn't quite gotten its flow yet. It took about an hour but I understand that given the distance and how I have yet to grasp the reason why stop lights here in Tampa change so infrequently. In Chicago it's hit the gas and beat it or wait 30 seconds and it's green again. The pizzas were good, fresh, made to order. Great taste, crisp crust, and hot. What more can you ask for? Looking at the reviews I don't think it's an accurate portrayal of what I just ate. Don't get me wrong, places can be hit or miss and maybe I'll have to check it out a few more times but it was just what we needed to hit the spot tonight. Worth a shot, definitely.

We recently moved to Tampa. Someone hung a menu on our door. We decided to give them a try. We ordered 2 large Philly steak subs and a large meat lovers pizza. We ordered the subs because the menu said it was their most popular sub. If that was one of their best, I would hate to eat their worst. The bread sucked, there was very little meat, peppers, cheese, etc. The 2 subs weighed what I would expect 1 sub to weigh. Awful! Just a waste of money! The pizza also sucked! There was almost no sauce at all on the pizza. It was flat, dry, very little meat and quite salty! We had to put our own sauce on it to even make it somewhat edible! We threw most of it away! DON'T GET FOOD FROM HERE!!

Ordered through grub hub. Late delivery. Wrong soda. Unseasoned and over cooked wings. Pizza was decent, but sparing on toppings and arrived cold. Not worth the money.

I work the late shift from home and discovered Island Breeze while trying to find places that delivered something other than pizza later in the evening. That said, I have only experienced their food & service delivery-wise, but have never had a bad experience. Their staff has been friendly, their delivery guys even look happy (!) - and their food has been consistently good. I have never received food that was stale, or mushy (mushy fries seem to be the standard if you're ordering delivery, in my experience), I even took a risk and ordered seafood today - it was crisp, tasted great, and was well priced. I have yet to try their pizza, but can vouch for their gyros, sandwiches, seafood, and desserts.

Had food delivered to hotel. Ordered a cheese pizza, which was dry and cold when it got here, cheese fries that just had a few bits of shredded cheese melted on top and mild, boneless wings that were not very good. The salad was the only thing that tasted okay. The delivery girl showed up in what looked like her pajamas. For having to wait over an hour to get my delivery and the food to all be cold wasn't worth the $35 they charged me to eat their cold crap. It's no wonder they have a no refund policy!

Ok, so my view on this place is pretty up and down which is why I am only giving it 3 stars. Their pepperonni pizza is good, and wings are good, but they're specialty pizza's are just OK. They have a special both $19.00, where one is a 10" inch pizza & wings anyway you want or a Med pizza with 10 wings, tonight, I accidentally ordered the wrong one, so I was pretty pissed when I paid $35 for a pep pizza and 16 wings. They charge an arm & a leg for blue cheese, and include it 50% of the time. Their subs are gross and buffalo shrimp are plain fried shrimp with a side of hot sauce. This place is decent, the top I've experienced so far, but totally outrageous prices which gives it such a low score. You will easily spend $40 on mediocre food. And if you have a complaint, the owner (I am assuming, the women with the heavy accent) will only argue with you. After tonight, I am offically over this place.
