Ambiance 4 stars. Burgers 4 stars. Fries were like the crinkle cut frozen ones from the store. These can be good but they were undercooked. Overall $40 wuth drinks for dinner. I'm sure there are better places around but this is a decent cheap option.

Took too long for the bartender to acknowledge me in an empty bar. Literally 6 other people sitting here. That said, drink is reasonably strong (got the spiked lemonade, and I've never had one made with tequila-usually it's vodka or whiskey). A bit pricey at more than $8, but it is after happy hour so probably typical. I like that the front wall opens completely to the outside for circulation and for people watching (like Bad Monkey, where I just left). Don't know how it compares to other Green Iguanas in the chain, but this is as good a bar as any to stop in a ybor.

I spent my younger years at this bar watching live bands, and drinking dollar beers on Wednesdays. Besides that, they serve food, sure, but why would anyone eat here with so many amazing options right down, or across the street? I've gotta be pretty hard up for a meal to consider eating here ever again, everything is just a big fat MEH. Tons of fun thoe. Great bar, great scene, but the food, well, it's mediocre bar food on a strip that doesn't play mediocre bar food!

Great Karaoke on Wednesdays!! Good food and friendly staff, too. Always enjoy going there for karaoke nights. Wish it was more than a couple of times per month, though.

Great service and great waitress. We are from out of town and she gave lots of great tips. Oh and the food was good too!

Went here with my sisters who were in town visiting. It was a warm, sunny day and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Our waitress was really nice, and we all ordered different things. I got the blackened mahi tacos which were really, really good-a huge serving for a good price (came with rice and beans). They got burgers and both loved them. They also had live music which was cool considering it was lunch time! Overall would go back (to this location) I cannot speak for the location in Carrollwood.

After getting our ids checked, we could see that there where a lot of dirty tables.. I'm in the restaurant business so naturally I bus my own table, which is not a table that I want to sit at.. We waited easily 15m and not a waitress or bartender came by.. The food looked good from patio which is why we stopped in. Never got to try it.. We left due to no one waiting on us.

I like the food at Green Iguana. Ever since I have moved to Tampa, it has been a happy hour hot spot for me. Their burgers are good but my personal favorite is the buffalo chicken wrap. They also have great beer specials. As for this particular location, it is a great place to go out and watch live music at night. As for dining, it is ok. I have never had a particularly great or a particularly poor experience. Definitely a good spot for bar food when you are not in a rush.

I first want to start off this post saying I used to work at this establishment. I dedicated a year of hard work and service to this place. My last visit was on a Friday night at 1:30. I was faced my a door man that looked like an ex-convict and who proceeded to bark at my group and I for our ID's! Twice! I was not greeted or approached once by any staff member and the bartender was clearly intoxicated. What else can you expect in Ybor? I used to cherish this place and staff but I am so embarrassed to be associated with this restaurant.

Not a fan of this location. I've had good burgers at another, but this one just doesn't seem to be run as well. They did have Elephant Foot on draft which was pretty cool. The location is good for bar hopping and they have ok apps. Not a main event kind of place...

I think this is the worst GI I've ever been to. A. It's super dingy and dirty looking, even by Ybor standards. I actually wasn't sure if I wanted to eat anything that came out of their kitchen. If the front of the house looks so nasty, I can't imagine what's going on in the back of the house! B. The service is terrible. I've never experienced really good service at a GI. I'd say it's mediocre at best. This location, however, is the worst of the worst. Drinks stayed empty, food took forever to get to us, and the waitress just seemed to be in her own little world. Needless to say, next time I visit Ybor I'll be trying out other dining options.

The ambience is nice, sometimes find myself here for Sunday funday. Like the live music, and iguanas everywhere. The burgers are good but most of the time I finish the meal feeling I really shouldn't have finished the meal (if you know what I mean). I would recommend a stop in, but perhaps not a stand out.

I came here with some coworkers after a meeting and dinner at The Columbia. We sat outside at one of the tables there and had a decent time. I had Guinness and Jdubs IPA and both seemed fresh and the tap lines seemed clean. There was a guy playing guitar for entertainment and he was pretty good. My only complaint was the restroom. It was about 9pm on a. Thursday, and there were about 12 people altogether here. If you are a fan of flies and fruitflies, the mens room is your cup of tea. I am not, so it wasn't. Fixtures were old and everything seemed to have a layer of dirtiness on it. A dive bar isn't supposed to be the Waldorf Astoria, but clean the mens room more than once a week.

Let me preface by saying that the burger is fantastic. I asked for medium rare and it was spot on. Bathrooms are gross as hell, and the service was POOR. THEY WERE POLITE, but terrible inattentive and forgetful. Write it down, check more than once. Maybe grab a burger when it's not busy.

Derive was amazing. We were here for a pub crawl but decided that we should eat because the service was soo good. Me and my homie got the chicken nachos...perfect bar food. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Ybor Tampa. Good drink specials as well, especially when it comes to shots!! Don't be afraid to jump in and try something new.

I have sat at the bar late night listening to a fantastic band and had one of the best burgers I've ever wrapped my lips around! I've also eaten here where the food is just meh and other times where I considered never going again. The food is uneven and he last time I was there sharing apps with friends, I didn't eat and left hungry. I gave it 3 stars because it's a cool place with live music, great people watching and you might luck out with a drippy, delicious burger. :).

Walked across the street to this place after encountering AWFUL SERVICE at Gaspar's Grotto. We were INSTANTLY GREETED by the young lady bartender, who efficiently told us the afternoon drink specials. What a relief to find a nice person working in a place that wanted our business! Guitar guy was good, we could see the people walking past on the sidewalk, and the domestic draft was "Buy One, Get One Free." Easy to see why Green Iguana is successful.....it's simple - greet customer, explain specials, offer menu, deliver drinks (smile!) deliver check when requested, thank customer!.....then, customer leaves a nice tip, and bar owner is happy! Win - Win - Win!!! Hmmmm......too bad Gaspar's Grotto across the street doesn't even remotely understand this simple process! Come here for fun, and interesting friendly people - sitting at the bar, and running the bar.

Good place to catch lunch on a Saturday afternoon before a flight out of TPA. Live music (at 1 in the afternoon), sports on the tv and open air feeling. Shrimp tacos were good too.

  • David M.

I had buffalo Mac and chz. Tasted and looked good. Service was good. We came on a slower evening, had plenty of attention. The place was clean, beer cold, decent bathrooms. Good overall menu selection. I would come in again.

Cheap drinks, live music and decent food. Awesome place for happy hour or group dinner. Last time I was here I tried the Bistro Melt - grilled meat and cheese- you can't go wrong. I would recommend getting a burger or wings!

I am no stranger to the Green Iguana. When they had the location off of Dale Mabry, my friends and I use to go to HH there a lot. They have great HH specials on Wednesdays. Food wise, I usually ordered the tilapia or the buffalo chicken wrap. Both are delicious. They also have really good nachos. The service has always been a bit of a gamble. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's not. I tend to find that when I'm in a hurry, I have to wait the longest, but that could just be paranoia.

Cool place, good atmosphere and service, decent food, cheap drinks. What else can you ask for from a dive? I'll take it.

I like the fact that the menu is 50% off if u dine in. So of course I dine in :-) hahaha

  • Jason H.

Came here a couple of times while interning. The stinky bleu cheese burger is fantastic and the buffalo chicken wrap is right up there with it. It's not fancy, it's just straight-up good food and sometimes that's all you need. I amazingly have not been to the original Westshore location even though it's just up the road from me. An interesting comparison I'd make is that Green Iguana is what Buffalo Wild Wings SHOULD be. However, Bdubs seems far too interested in nickel-and-diming people with overpriced wings, small burgers and wraps that barely have any meat. Any time I'm in the mood for bar food, Green Iguana is my spot.

  • Charlie C.

Must be fun on the weekends, but food is ok. Chips and salsa were good as was the quesadilla, mojito and margaritas were bad. Not impressed with service when there is only 15 people in the bar. However, four cops showed up to eat. Music was really good too, but stick with beer and chips and you'll be fine.

Stopped in here by chance on a Monday. The five dollar burger special was a ridiculously good and unexpected Monday special. Great burger. My daughter had coconut shrimp and loved it.

I went w/ family for lunch on a Thursday.. It was good! I got the shrimp tacos which I loved and my very picky niece loved her Mac n cheese. Really cool looking casual bar/ restaurant right in the heart of ybor. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was quick and efficient. I'll be back for sure.

This place was a HOT MESS! For the most part, Ybor city was mostly quiet on that Wednesday night. The sidewalk tables seemed appealing so we decided to eat there. Big mistake! The wait was terrible and they were not busy at all. First it took forever for the waitress to decide on where a group of five people could sit, although there was space everywhere! Once we were seated, our table wasn't cleared. The waitress only cleared it after we told her that those drinks were left there from the previous party. Strike One! Once we finally received the menus, we ordered the Three Cheese Spin Dip and I ordered the Adobo Mixed Grill (grilled chicken breast, grilled shrimp, green rice, black beans and baja sauce) for my entrée. The spinach and artichoke dip was OK but the chips that came with it were stale and inedible at all. We asked to return it. Strike Two! We constantly asked for our drinks to be refilled when we really shouldn't be asking. Finally, our entrees came out. My entrée (surprisingly) was alright. The chicken and shrimp were tender and marinated as well as the rice and beans. All was going well until I found a hair on my shrimp skewer! When we told the waitress about the hair in my food, she did not apologize, but instead simply tried to imply that the hair was mine and said "That's weird, our two cooks in the back have short hair." STRIKE THREE! At this point I was fuming, because a) you do not mess with me when I am starving, b) I was pretty annoyed that my appetizer was stale and my entrée had a hair in it, and c) she's trying to imply that I purposely took out my own hair and put it in my entrée! NEVER AGAIN! This may be a great place if you're drunk or sleazy but not if you want good food and great service!

This place has a lot of work to do. They should stop serving food anyways because it seems Ybor is only good for bars, motorcycles, and drunk sleeze balls. My salad looked like someone ate it and threw it up onto my plate. This place should apply for restaurant impossible on food network. That or have chef ramsay pay a visit to set everyone straight, specially the waitress.

    Love their Cuban sandwiches!

  • Vincent A.

Terrible! I had a burger that was inedible and cost a fortune. I went with the double and added a bunch of seemingly delicious toppings. I ordered it medium and it was still raw ground beef in the center even though the outside was burnt. There are so many great options in ybor. Avoid this place at all costs.

  • Martic R.

I think this location is good for drinks and perhaps bar food. Ordered their shrimp taco and the rice was hard and stucked together like it was the rice at bottom of the pan, my friend ordered a Cuban sandwish with better luck. I came here a few weeks ago and once I walked in there was no visible staff so I left. With all of the options in the area I would probably not return for food.

We stopped in for a quick bite on St. Paddy's Day. Was only half full surprisingly. I was disappointed they didn't do anything special for the menu today. My family and I all ordered the chicken and fries basket. After waiting more than half an hour, out came the world's smallest baskets.. Not only was I disappointed in the wait time, I couldn't believe how small the serving was. I said to the waitress, "I guess I'll have to go home and cook after all." She brought us out 3 extra pieces of chicken to compensate. I have to admit the fries were huge and tasty and the chicken was juicy. There was another Green Iguana closer to my home in St. Pete that closed last year. Their food just didn't seem up to par although the location was great on the water.

Good food in Ybor. Pretty standard bar food...nothing more, nothing less. never had anything terrible, but nothing that has knocked my socks off either. Service tends to be a little slow for food, but being in Ybor, I suppose that's not too bad.

  • Annie L.

This place is certainly worth a go if you like loud music and an upbeat atmosphere. I ordered a dirty martini and my boyfriend ordered a round of lemon drops. I wasn't a huge fan of my dirty martini (not enough olive). The lemon drops were alright. Service was subpar, but I don't blame the bartenders...it must be difficult to converse with patrons when it's so loud!

Food Only Review: Bar crawling in Ybor City in Center Tampa will eventually lead you to the neon sign for the Green Iguana. This open bar has a great happy hour specials. Dollar tacos and $3 Corona Pints is a great way to be happy from 6 - 10 pm on Tuesdays. The tacos are nothing to scream about, neither is the coronas. The atmosphere is to the older crowds during the time I went, but I can definitely see the potential of this place on the weekend. There is also a store and secondary bar upstairs if ever you are inclined to get a party together. My Recommendation: Only go there for happy hour, other than that, can skip this place and head to more interesting bars in Ybor City.

  • Beth B.

Fries were good, servers were stuck up. My burger wasn't the way I wanted it but I didn't dare say anything or else I'd have to wait another 10 minutes for my server to come back around. And by the way, it was only my boyfriend & I and 4 other people. No worries though, there are more places to go downtown.

  • Mike S.

Have visited a couple of times, but only for drinks. Sort of a touristy place with lots of gimmick drinks and eats, but not bad overall. Prices are not exorbitant, service is quite friendly and some of the snacks and menu items look worth a try. And now the Ybor version of this franchised chain is managed by Jose Fernandez, who also runs Bernini's & Carne's Chophouse, that we regard as 2 of the best food and elegant settings places in Ybor. Jose is a very hands-on manager, so look for a guy with dark beard, dark glasses in a running suit making the rounds, pressing the flesh and sincerely asking if you like the place.

Why 4 stars? Because it's my favorite hole in the wall. --- --- --- It's kind of like Hooters in this aspect: When you go to Hooters, you get the wings. You don't deviate from that philosophy. Well at the Iguana, you get one of the burgers and don't consider switching it up. They have 16 different kinds of burgers on their menu, which is pretty impressive. My personal favorite is the Cheesiest Cheese Burger. This is the ultimate in greasy, hit-the-spot bar food. While living about 4 blocks away in Ybor for a couple of years, my roommate and I were probably their best customers. This was a regular Sunday Funday lunch stop. The live music is usually pretty good, with a few rare exceptions. We got to know the staff well, and they were all great. The Iguana is one of the main reasons I miss living in Ybor.

  • Susan M.

I think I may have found the greatest bar food ever....the buffalo chicken nachos. Ooey and goey and covered in bleu cheese. Heaven! Happy hour prices are great, $2 Finlandia vodkas and the tables outside are great for people watching. If you're looking for fine dining this is not where you want to go, but for bar food, cheap drinks and a fun atmosphere Green Iguana fits the bill.

so Sunday afternoon found us wandering through Ybor, our buddy said this place was where he went on the first date with his now wife, so we went in for a few cocktails what we had - couple of stella artois beers a watermelon martini a couple of mojitos and a glass of water the beer - well its beer, though not served in the traditional stella glass (rather in a plastic cup) the watermelon martini tasted like a jolly rancher with an odd aftertaste their mojito was one of the better ones that we have had water (well we cant only drink alcohol all the time can we?) over all it was a nice atmosphere (though a bit too many "hipsters" - maybe that's just Ybor City??)they had the football games on (but at a realistic volume level) the guy manning the door/hosting was also our server and he seemed pleasant enough - would go back when we are back in town

Came in here really wanting some Mexican food since I kinda assumed from the name and look that there would be some Mexican food and good margs, but no such luck. It was happy hour, so beers were 2-4-1s..but they also came in tiny plastic cups, so it really wasn't that great a deal. Boyfriend got a burger which was pretty good and seemed to be a popular option there. I went with chicken tacos which were good as well but they definitely skimmed on the toppings. Not an awful place, but I didn't really think it was worth what they charged.

  • Drake M.

This resturant/bar was pretty good, I had there Nachos which were OK but not great. My wife had a burger which seemed OK but not awesome. The beer cheese and pretzels were good but it doesn't come with enough bread to even come close to finishing the cheese they give you. all in all it kinda felt like an Apple-bee's quality experience. I will probably go there again but more for appetizers and drinks than for a meal.

A Dollar Drink Night, that's crazy! lol Cheap drinks, cheap sound. I mean the sound system, not the music. Not sure they've fixed or not tho'.

This is purely a review of G.I. in Ybor City as I've never been to other locations. We went there for $1 drink/karaoke night. In actually it's $1.25 wells which is no big deal, but still... Every time I've been here it was either extremely packed or it was crickets. We came here again on a Friday night for happy hour and were having a great time until the band started playing. It was so loud, my ears hurt and were ringing when we left. One redeeming quality is the staff. They're very friendly and stay on top of making sure we're good on drinks. They make awesome drinks and suggest new shots to try. I have yet to try the food. It's in a great location and has outdoor seating which is a plus. The menu looks extensive. I'll definitely go back and try the food.

  • Robby M.

Probably my favorite of the Green Iguanas other than the one on Westshore. Great location for people watching either from the bar or the outside tables. Drinks are cheap and they have a great happy hour. I'm only giving 3*** cause I was not a fan of the upstairs craft beer bar a little to claustrophobic for me.

    (3)
  • Lauren B.

I had the taco salad which was the special but they didn't give me much lettuce. The waitress was nice enough to give me more. Id go back but would probably try something new next time.

We have had lunch here a few times and just love it. We always sit at the bar and tend to get great service here. I had the sliders ... YUMMY! The bartender ... her name is slipping my mind right now ... was super friendly and was a joy to talk to. Sitting close to the open doors and enjoying the food and beer, this was a good day.

If you're a current or former fraternity or sorority member you will love this place. That probably also means you love shitty beer and even shittier music.

  • Christopher O.

I have eaten here twice and both times the meals were good. The wait staff is quick and knowledgeable about the menu. Both times I had a turkey burger with different toppings and a caesar side salad. Others in my party had the tuna appetizer, the steak salad, and a chicken sandwich. All the food was tasty and looked great. The only down side for me was the loud live music. Once that starts it is hard to have any type of conversation. Enjoy!

A seedy bar/grill in a seedy part of Tampa. I have ordered fish tacos and I have ordered a burger. The fish tacos were not very good- the fish was good but the cabbage and the sauce didn't compliment it the way they should in a good fish taco. The next night I ordered a burger (to go). It was o.k. In an area which is basically a place to smoke cigars or drink I would say the burgers are among the better choices. The atmosphere is "dive bar"- just like the rest of Ybor. I don't know what the other Green Iguana's are like because I have not visited any and I am not from Tampa. The service is ... indifferent. The waitress/bartender was friendly, but I was annoyed to see my food sit on the back counter while they were serving eat-in/drink-in customers. The bar (the whole area) is so seedy I just wanted to pick up my food and head back to my hotel and eat it in my accommodations away from the patrons.

Hubby enjoyed his burger and calamari thoroughly. I was surprised to see they had hummus on the menu. I would have like a bit more scooping vegetables rather than the pita (I probably should have asked). Our server Ryan was attentive keeping our beverages refreshed. It was a good experience overall.

    (4)
  • Mitch L.

This place is great. It may not have girls dancing on the bar but it does have a great atmosphere and the prettiest bartenders in town!!!!! The hamburger I had was the best I have ever had in FL!!!!!!! Stop in you will like it !!!!!

Nothing stood out on the menu. Food was okay. Weak margaritas. Very resonably priced.

Came here on an early afternoon yesterday and ordered the Lava Burger..supposedly a fiery sauce topping their juicy burgers. Our waiter even said he had a lot of respect for me ordering it. Oh pshaw! Wasn't any near hot as the menu suggested. I had to put on Tabasco just to get a kick out of it. My friend's Coconut Shrimp were a bit burnt and the accompanying sauce too sweet. I again, had to use the Tabasco to generate some heat. Their two-for-one drink special was outstanding though. Nice people-watching spot in the heart of Ybor City and not too crazy in the afternoon.

  • James O.

Decent looking place, came in here early on a Saturday night passing through Tampa with some buddies. They had decent drink prices, and I liked the layout, but there wasn't much of a crowd. If in town again, I'd definitely give it a try.

    (3)
  • Joe P.

The burgers are good, plus they have good drink specials. The service wasn't so good and we were backed in behind another large table and it made it difficult to go to the bathroom and get up.

    (3)
  • Virginia G.

Worst one I've been to. Very dirty, poor service, I guess they rely on the drunken Ybor crowd to sustain them. We had a drink at the bar, I refused to order anything that came out of that kitchen, so we left. And wont' return

  • Marci M.

We sat outside at the Green Iguana one busy Saturday night and had a fantastic time people watching!!! This is a very busy bar on a busy street with all types of people walking by. The beer selection is good and they had cider (bonus!). We had a couple of drinks and no one rushed us, we were just able to relax and enjoy the view. I have eaten here previously and was pleased. A great spot for a fun night in Ybor!

  • Frank S.

Good place to meet friends for drinks and apps. Bar staff is kind of blah, but decent. As far as cost, kind of pricey, but I guess that's to be expected today. Burgers are tasty for sure!

    (3)
  • Son-anh D.

Came here for happy hour. For the price and the amount of food and beer we got it was not cheap at all. Service was decent, appetizers were disappointing. We did not eat entrees here so can't say much about it.

    (2)
  • Alex G.

I'm being generous giving the Green Iguana 3 stars. Quick service and a lively atmosphere make it a "happening", fun joint. Stopped in with a group for lunch, and everyone's food was "decent." The broccoli-cheddar soup was above average, and worth the trip for sure. The mahi was overcooked, and the vegetable stir fry was bathed in oil - lazy cooking by the "chef". The rest of the dishes were described as "average," except for the burgers which were "excellent.". My opinion: stick to burgers and avoid complex dishes.

    (3)
  • Dan J.

We go to the Green Iguana for lunch every time we visit Tampa, and each we've been pleased with the dining experience. The last time we were there we got conche fritters, Mojo Sliders (Cuban style pork sandwich), and Blackened Chicken sandwhich. The service was very good and the prices reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

    (4)
  • Brad S.

Maybe the best burgers in town: plump, juicy and offered with all kinds of toppings, not to mention accompanied by some very tasty seasoned fries. The Ybor location offers the usual libations, but is running a $2.50 PBR special for a 16 oz can, maybe not the most delicate, but definitely recession-priced. Mondays features those good burgers for just 5 bucks, one of the best deals in town. Don't expect gourmet pub grub and you won't be disappointed. The street tables are primo for people watching. And the live music is almost always pleasing in some way. This remains the main hub of action on the always changing 7th Ave in Ybor.

    (4)
  • Jason R.

The beer always seems skunked at this location. I'm assuming they never clean their hoses. Decent burger selection, but the menu is forgettable.

If you're under 18 or with a family it's safe to head over here before the dinner time hours, when the sun is still out. Otherwise, keep the kids at home and go here after dinner when the nightlife comes out in Ybor City. Ybor City itself can be a little sketchy, but I think it's rather safe during the day. The restaurant is excellent. When I was younger and went here I was very picky, and they ended up making me something special with a platter to put my own tacos together. Very neat. The food is good, they have music and a dance floor. I believe there's arcade games upstairs- if I remember right. There's some outdoor seating as well. The food is great, sandwiches/wraps to salads, chicken to steaks. I used to get a type of chicken wrap that had a fruity taste to it. Full bar here was well. This was my first Green Iguana I had ever been to, I came here for the first time about 5 years ago, and then they since opened a few other restaurants. They had one in St.Pete, FL as well but I'm not sure if the location was good for it, and I think they might have closed down.

What can I say - it's a great pub with relaxed music and a nice waitstaff.

This is my most favorite bar to hang out at when I was living in Ruskin, I still enjoy going there whenever I am vacationing in Riverview (to visit my daughter and her family). I love the atmosphere, the food and the live music when there is a band booked. If you are ever in the area, you should pay them a visit, get a table and relax...the friendly staff will take care of you!!!!

***PLS NOTE: This is the YBOR city location. The trek over to this place is almost worth a review. Check out Yelp for the EEEBOAR strip. Dangerous it is, but this is the yuppie hangout on this strip ideal for 30 year olds. I do like that this place is on the second floor and you can watch the hoodlums down below getting their 3rd strike for their transgressions, i.e. hitting somebody over the head with a bottle. This place was pretty packed and even at 2 in the morning, people were hanging off the sides of this place. No real dance floor, but they had live music I think? I'm not that sure, I was pretty toasted. The drink specials were cheap and they have this game were you can win free drinks...... Wow, I really don't remember this place? I had the check out the webpage, in which I found: iguanasgonewild.com Lol. Iguanas gone wild. You silly person, iguanas can't go wild. They already are wild. Except the ones in captivity.

I would comment on the food here but honestly we never recieved it in 2 office trips so i cant comment on it. The server tried to make us wait and pay after 45 minutes of waiting after our order. Such a shame because the other Green Iguana's have great burgers (why you eat there) which i was craving that day.

This is great chill place for the youngins or family outing. They have great live music to accmodate with your meals! Service was good as well as cleanliness. Although the food was alright and nothing special, you should still try their burgers (big and juicy!). Overall, a good place to sit, eat, and enjoy the live music.

It has been about a 2 yrs since I went to the GIB&G. The look was inviting and the sidewalk tables were inciting so we thought what the hey lets eat here. Big mistake, especially at lunch time. The wait was terrible and they did not look THAT busy. First we took our table outside and seems forgotten about. Awhile later our waitress came out and took our orders (we jus ordered the burgers and fries NOT a big deal you would think). Then a waitress above in the restaurant spilled the drinks on me when she was cleaning off the table and just said oops sorry bout that then went back to wiping the mess up. SOOOO about 30 mins later shazammm our food arrived and not as good as it should have been. My burger was on the crunchy side and the fries were very very average. We had to keep asking for our drinks to be refilled and then wait again for our bill our total time there was about 2 1/2 hrs. This to me was total ridiculousness for burgers. I wont be back, there has to be a better place to grab a fabulous lunch in downtown city of Ybor. They may be a great hang out when your drunk but not if you want good food and great service.

I ate lunch here on a Friday afternoon as part of my quest to tear and compare every place in Ybor that serves a Cuban Sandwich. I didn't expect great quality food from this place, seemed like a nice place to have a few beers and pick at food once the alcohol kicks in, i'll probably do just that in the near future. Good selection of beers and drinks. I must say the Cuban was weak, prepubescent vegan weak. I felt like I was eating at subway, a sad display of pork and ham. However, the bread was decent and the mustard sauce packed some great flavor. Overall, the taste was decent but it needed some serious increase in meat lbs. Also the fries were of the pre-packaged and frozen variety, terrible. Some of the items on the menu definitely looked better.

The seared tuna sashimi is really good. The half portion should be enough for an appetizer for two people.

This place drew a decent crowd even on a Sunday night. There was a guy and his guitar playing cover songs. The drinks were stiff. Make sure to look up and marvel at the gigantic iguana.

Went here on a Mon night in a party of four on spring break in early March. Ybor city was mostly quiet- not quite a happening place. The extensive menu attracted our party (that and Mema's was closed). There was live music, a female acoustic guitarist that had a voice like a country singer, really not that bad. I enjoyed her more mainstream strongs, but she had some questionable choices like Hurricane, Bob Dylan?! not quite the festive song... I didn't enjoy my dish but my friends seemed to enjoy theirs. The quality isn't the best but the price is OK. One thing though, my friend's draft Blue Moon was $5.50, pretty outrageous. I had the fish tacos, which were very disappointing. The fish chunks were fresh and good, but it was served in a soft taco that dripped a stream of water when I picked it up. They charged me an extra buck for a minuscule amt of guac. After having Wahoo's fish tacos at Huntington Beach, CA, perhaps my standards were too high to begin with. One last gripe, our table wasn't cleared and there was a old water by the counter left there. There were maybe two waitress that seemed overworked and tired. On one note, a party of 5 college girls walked into the nightclub area, upstairs? If you're into that, this may be the place on a better night.

put a dollar up on their bar, play their 25 cents PG-13 video game in the corner of the bar with your girls, listen to some decent music, then hop to other ybor spots once the dirtier older men start hitting on you.

This staple of Ybor Always has good food. However, where it truly shines is with its choice of servers...in particular the bartenders. They, are some of the best around and are empowered by some of the best drink specials known to man. In particular both Jeannine and Ryan are the beacons of light which continually bring me back to this oasis. Ryan is smart enough to relate to anyone and yet still serve everyone quickly. While at first glance you might think Jeannine is there as eye candy. However, quickly you realize shes perhaps the captain of this ship and runs it smoothley no matter how busy, while Ryan effortlessly serves you drinks.

Sat for 10 minutes with no service. Had to go find them. Got mahi picatti and i might as well got sushi. Portion size seems to get smaller every time i come here too. No bueno.

Good food, great atmosphere, but less-than service. Had to remind the hostess that we had been sat as nobody came to our table. Then the waitress messed up our order two times. She was also quite slow.

Went here for happy hour with a group of friends & ordered the white sangria which was listed under "white wines". The menu clearly stated that the wines were half off & our waitress even told us that everything in the wine section was included in the deal. The drink was very good, it came in a huge glass and was filled with a lot of fruit. My friend's Long Island on the other hand was completely watered down. But as it came down to pay, I noticed that the white sangria was being charged full price. I asked the waitress why that was & explained to her that it was clearly listed under wine which was half off. She talked to her manager and we were refused the discount. Customer service was extremely poor and I was very disappointed.

This will be a short and sweet review. I enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is nice. That being said it takes forever for your food to come out, its a bit over priced and I don't think the kitchen staff pays much attention. Every time I ask for medium rare I get burnt or over cooked. I also got wax paper in a burger once and ended throwing the entire thing away. Will not go back.

I went here with some coworkers because they said this place makes a pretty good Bloody Mary. I had a sip of someone's and I thought it was just ok. They serve food here, which is great because they have great drink specials. The food was typical bar food. Chicken fingers, fries, burgers. I don't know if I'd eat here because we sat at the bar and it was pretty sticky. Either it hadn't been cleaned recently or it was part of the "character" of the place. The beer selection was pretty good so I just ordered beer instead of a cocktail. I know my coworker ordered a rum and coke and said it was pretty strong. I saw her make the next round and I figured it was strong because the bartender looked like she was definitely pouring on the heavier side. This is typically a good thing for some people but it was a Tuesday evening so we were a few days before the need to get hammered. It was A-OK.

Nice place to grab a beer and some grub. I had the fish sandwich and it was tasty. Pretty standard pub fare.
