Maybe the worse Golden Corral I've ever been to. The table have dirty dishes piled high customers have to clean their own tables. All the food was empty. So what i'm is do not eat here!!

Not one of the nicer Golden Corrals in terms of food presentation, orderliness and overall feel. Like most GC's, you have an excess of food options, but many customers pass the veggie/salad offerings and load up on meats and sweets, making a mess in the process. However, thanks to this GC and all in the chain for providing a free dinner to all Vets on the Monday near Veteran's Day in November......and allowing DAV (Disabled American Vets) to collect donations on that weekend.

GC carried me through my college years. 9 bucks for all you can eat? Why not! And there was dessert! But now, I would never eat at this establishment again, or any GC for that matter. Food is sub-standard by far, loaded with insane amounts of salt making everything pretty much taste the same after a while. This place and other GCs constantly get health code violations. This place is a heart attack and diabetes rolled into one. I will say that management is OK, and the servers are nice. They make sure you have everything you need, which is an accomplishment considering how understaffed this place is. But the place is dirty, and you just can't trust the food. It's definitely sub-standard, meats are from hormone-induced animals, everything else is GMO. Don't be surprised if you get food poisoning from here. If you're a poor college kid looking for an epic fill, yeah, I guess you can eat here. Otherwise, eat elsewhere, there are better, healthier options all over Tampa.

There are many restaurants where you can feel crowded when busy. Golden Corral takes all of these restaurants and throws them out the window; I've seen stampedes that are more organized than the crowds in this establishment. And for what? What is, in my opinion, neglected food. Everything about the buffet food seems hap-hazard and careless; The chicken looks like it has been sitting out for weeks on end, the cake has become a crushed, crumbled pile of crumbs and sticky melting frosting, and the steaks are cooked by a man who has absolutely no concept of cooking a steak - To him, Medium-well is seared, and rare is raw. The plates, floors, and bathrooms are simply filthy. Plates and utensils are speckled with pieces of old food and stains, floors have ground-in buffet food speckling the dirty carpet, and the bathroom floors are a constant slipping hazard that smelled like someone cooked a urinal. Do yourselves a favor and stay away. It isn't worth it at all.

Golden Corral rides kind of a middle line for me. I'm partial to the chain because I've been going there for a while, and it's got a lot of memories that I cherish. The food is alright (though overly salty for my tastes). The service is passable at best. The prices are not too steep considering it's an all you can eat buffet, which definitely works in their favor. Overall, I guess I know I'll go again, but it's not necessarily because it's a great business, if you know what I mean.

I've been to other Golden Corral restaurants in other places, but this one, well.... Let's just say that it was my first time going, and my last time going! To put it into perspective, this was the first time EVER that I have gone to a place where the Popcorn Shrimp was burnt.... If that statement above says anything, that's just the beginning. Before walking in, trash was reeking from someplace nearby. Once in, the cashier wasn't there, so we waited for a couple of minutes before the manager came and rung up our purchase. Then, we went around and the first thing that I noticed wasn't the food, but a musty smell. I don't know whether it came from the carpet, but it was pretty strong. It seemed that out of the food that I still ended up eating, the Bourbon Street chicken was very good, but everything else was so-so. The only bright spot that I witnessed there was the manager and one of the waitresses (Asian) who served us. He was very professional, timely and courteous. Again, I've been to other Golden Corral restaurants in the past, and many of them were very good, and the experience was great. But this one: It gives the entire restaurant change a bad name.

I am a frequent Golden Corral customer. I go about every other week at home (St Louis) and GC is our preferred family restaurant when traveling. This GC is without a doubt one of the nicest I have ever been to. For starters, it is CLEAN. Most GC's tend to let the dirty dishes pile up on vacant tables, but not here. The salad and food bars were spotless. The food behind the bar was well organized and the buffet had a great layout. Specifically, they have a dedicated steak serving area instead of making the folks getting steak block the food bar while waiting. Also, the vegetables were all placed together instead of being spread out through the buffet. The food quality was very good, given the fact that it is still GC food. The bacon on the "breakfast for dinner" bar was thick and perfectly cooked. As a bonus, the device was friendly and attentive. Only 4 stars because that's where I think a restaurant like GC maxes out, given the food it serves.

This Golden Corral location is the worst. Got sick from their food. The locations in Lakeland and Zephyrhills are much better. As someone said in their review what do you expect from a "ghetto" location.

This was my 1st visit to GC & wanted to got there 5 minutes before 4pm. We waited in line, get to the cashier (who had on the manager's costume). She rings us up full price. I said we were here before 4pm, you saw us in line. She says "no you weren't". I didn't get to try any of the salty foods I'm now reading about in the reviews, maybe it's for the best. I know it's a shitty life working at a subpar buffet chain in the middle of nowhere, but this woman (who's name rhymed with 'shunt') didn't have to project her failures onto me in some juvenile display of authority.

God people... shut up with your whiny reviews. Jesus. It's gross and makes me feel gross. Shut up. That is because you are gross. I ignored all the reviews from the morons and ate here and was happy. Fat dumb and happy. Yes the food is salty but that is every GC and this one is a bit less salty. I especially loved the giant a$$ strawberries that I very much enjoyed dunking in white chocolate. Hell, I even went back with a soup bowl and got me a third of a bowl of the stuff! My only complaint. When I returned from the buffet the first time, the waiter had left a crap ton of dirty dishes on my table. My audible "what the hell" got his attention and he worked over time to make up for it. He was a pretty good waiter. Not sure what his name was but he was gay and I over heard him talking to another customer and I think he is a drag queen. But his service was pretty good.

This place isn't the same GC of the past. The quality is much better than it used to be and its been remodeled in the last year or two. It's not gourmet but a solid option for a large party that can't agree on anything. Personally I have no issues except I eat too much here. I think GC has generally worked on its quality in recent years.
