I love Fresh Bites and can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. This restaurant is a small Lebanese restaurant that prides itself on using all natural ingredients. Yes, it does make a difference! On our most recent visit, we got the hummus appetizer, which is always perfect. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and loved it. I've also had the salads, lamb kafta, etc. The veggies are fantastic. My favorite meal there is the grilled chicken tender platter. YUM! If you are in the area or want to try Lebanese, try it. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Long wait but absolutely worth it! I got the Lamb Grilled Kafta Kabab and it tasted great. The meat was seasoned exceptionally well (good aftertaste), and they give you nice portions or salad + rice. The atmosphere is laid back with nice long stone tables. It's also features a small wine bar by the entrance. The selection is typical of what you would find at most Mediterranean restaurants: wraps and plates. Each one gives you the option of choosing between chicken, beef and lamb. You can also go with grape leaves + hummus, á la carte. The price is a little higher than others but I'm fine with that since they use all-natural meats from a ranch outside of San Francisco that's known for humanly raising their animals. Maybe that's why the lamb tasted so good...they weren't feed gmo corn! I think a lot of people miss this place because of its location. The sign isn't prominent and several trees block the small commercial strip it's located in. I almost missed it myself but I'm glad I stopped in to give it a chance. *Make sure to check in to get your free drink!

As far as falafel wraps go, this one is pretty darn good. I've lived in WC for almost 3 years now and have never been to FB. I went once, but they were closed. Now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not visiting sooner. I called ahead for my wrap, since I read everything is made to order and I knew it might take awhile. When I walked in, I was greeted by 4 kids-I'm assuming it was the owner'a children. They were all very pleasant and well behaved. The teenage girl was working the register. I got my wrap to go ($7) and ate it in the car. It was so tasty and filling. For the price, it was a great deal. The pita was one of those large thin ones-not the type served with a gyro. The tahini was light and perfectly balanced. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I look forward to trying more dishes.

Fresh bites=fresh organic ingredients. This is a Mediterranean style cafe. Pretty small and casual atmosphere. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. I ordered the hummus which had great consistency but missed the mark on flavor. It was rather bland with no taste of garlic. The falafal wrap was very flavorful with tomato, pickled turnip and tahini. Love that all the food is prepared fresh and is organic. The lemonade was fresh and I would come back to try other options.

We are locals to the area and really love this restaurant. We always feel like we're getting really healthy food and they take a lot of care to make sure customers are happy. We go at least once a week. Awesome food! Lamb burger - muah! 5 stars!

Fresh Bites is a delicious Middle Eastern restaurant with wonderful, friendly owners. My husband frequently gets take-out from here for lunch or picks it up for us for dinner...falafel and baklava are our favorites. It's definitely best fresh so I wouldn't recommend buying it to eat hours later. Highly recommend!

I couldn't believe how generous the side salad portion was with the plate platter. The lemon vinaigrette dressing was tasty. Hummus was good, just the right consistency. I could really taste the tahini in it which I really liked. The Beef Shawarma was flavorful, I enjoyed how the meat was spiced. It tasted exactly like a beef dish the Greeks make called Youvetsi. Great place and the owner is very nice. I was impressed on how she cares about using healthy antibiotic free meats and organic veggies. I will be back. 09/15 came back for a quick bite with family and ordered the Lamb Kaftah wrap.. What's in it? Ground lamb kebab that is seasoned with onion& Spices, boiled potato, parsley, greens, hummus and I'm pretty sure there was a pickled veggie of some sort. I was in the mood for a little kick so I topped off every bite with the homemade hot sauce they make. It was enjoyable, and I'm interested in seeing what else they have to offer here.. I will be back sooner than later especially, since my sis is newly moved into the area.

Stopped in for an early lunch, and was surprised that I was the only person in the place. It's a nice open roomy area - bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside, with plenty of tables. Even a few tables out front to enjoy the view of the parking lot and Countryway Blvd. :-) Place your order at the counter, and then they bring your food and beverage to you. Free soda with Yelp check in - sweet! One of my favorite things about Mediterranean food is eating all the different combos of food together. So, I was very surprised when their Falafel Plate - at $10.29, did not come with hummus, just a ramekin of tahini. As a result, I did have to order an add-on of hummus for $2.59, because it wouldn't be as good without it. The food came out quickly, and the falafel balls themselves were outstanding. Great flavor, not too oily, and I liked the assorted tomatoes, pickled veggies, and peppers that they were served with. Great plate presentation. The only thing I was not crazy about was the Lebanese bread - it is not pita, it is thin, paper-like, and almost tasteless. It was not useful at all in making my mini falafel sandwiches. Plenty of food, and I even had a little left over for a snack the next day. The food was excellent, and even though it's a little steep for a lunch budget, I will definitely be back for dinner.

Fresh Bites is a interesting place. The service was outstanding on my visit, they were very helpful and happy to explain their foreign menu to a retard like me that isn't very familiar with Lebanese food. I selected the Beef Shawarma. It was good, very different flavor than what I normally eat. The hummus is OUTSTANDING! I liked the salad it came with, I wish it had less celery? Overall I am not sure this is my favorite type of food, but I think Fresh Bites is authentic and well prepared. The weird cafeteria counter ordering system is clumsy....I'm sure it gets completely backed up when you have a customer who is unfamiliar with Lebanese food or can't make a quick decision, I'm glad it was slow when we were there. It's a even stranger system when they told us to sit down and we would "pay at the counter" after our meal? Then they served us. What kind of strange system is this?

I like authentic ethnic food. Mexican, Chinese, Lebanese. It doesn't matter. I like it because their food usually has passion. And by that I mean they don't water down their flavor to cater to the masses. They cater to their respective ethnic groups and go above and beyond your typical Outback fare. I also like small restaurants. I prefer them over large, chain restaurants. I like small, family owned ventures. Where the husband is cooking, the wife is at the register and the nieces are waiting tables. There is something about the family affair that make the good taste better to me. I particularly like Mediterranean cuisine. Hummus, falafel, pita bread. Yum. Now, add healthy organic ingredients and you get Fresh Bites. So, naturally, I am impressed. I've had s couple of their shawarma wraps so far and I'm very impressed. They are big and fresh and flavorful. Just like I like it. I'm wanting to try the falafel so I'll post an update when I do. It looks delicious. So much food, so little time. The advertise all natural and organic ingredients. So if you want a healthy and flavorful meal, you should give Fresh Bites a try. This is definitely not your garden variety Mediterranean cuisine. It's all natural Mediterranean food that tastes great. As good as it gets.

Amazingly fresh and consistent, this neighborhood spot has the sweetest owners and children. Every single item we have ever ordered is always 5 stars.

This is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Here's the reason why: Although I'm a foodie that loves to try everything and I don't worry too much about calories, I buy organic and try to eat as healthy as possible on the regular...this way I can indulge when I go out to eat and not feel so guilty. Well, Fresh Bites allows me both. Natural ingredients along with great flavor! I love Lebanese food, so to get it organic is a huge bonus. The meats are all so tasty. I'm on a mission to have every dish on the menu...everything is good. The salad covers most of your plate, as it should. You get a perfect amount of meat and veggies. The rice is quite fragrant...I'm not certain, but I think it's made with coconut milk. My only complaint is that they run out of Labneh (a Mediterranean yogurt with olive oil). I love this stuff. I can slather it all over my lamb meat, it's so good...actually I go back and forth between hummus and labneh. :) Oh, they make good, fresh hummus too. So, I've never been crazy about baklava...until I had it at Fresh Bites. I guess it's because I've never had baklava so good. The filo is so crispy, the pistachio is so crunchy and the honey is so perfectly sweet. The owners make you feel welcome and are dedicated to good quality and take pride in their food. The baklava wasn't made to their standards one day, so they still served it to me, but wouldn't charge me for it. You just don't get that type of service everywhere. The place is quaint and fills up fast with just a few families. I recommend going on weeknights. We went on a Friday night once and were lucky to get a table.

This is a good place to go for healthy food and friendly service. However, I did not find the beef shawarma especially authentic. It wasn't shaved beef, it was chunks of beef in a sauce that seems to lack a couple essential spices. Also, even though I ordered the shawarma plate, it came wrapped in a pita, and the pita fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The hummus was fine, but it was not drizzled with olive oil, so it really just tasted of mushed up garbanzos. Other than the pita that wrapped the meat, there was no extra pita that came with the meal. The grilled veggies were under seasoned. The salad was pretty tasty.

Excellent! Very good, tasty, and fresh. I had beef shawarma plate. It was perfect: all spiced just the right way. My friends had tuna with baba ghanouj and fresh veggies. Finally I haven't had real coffee with cardamon in a very long time. It was perfect. Coupled with friendly owners and clean environment, it was a winning combination.

Being Lebanese I am very critical of middle eastern restaurants and usually don't go back a second time. Not true here, Absolutely FANTASTIC and AUTHENTIC Lebanese cuisine...just like my family holiday dinners. I can't go back enough, I'd eat there every day if I could!

Fresh Bites is the real deal. Homemade everything. The falafal wrap and side salad is my goto meal at least once a week (my major pregnancy craving!). The owners are friendly and genuine. If you are looking for a healthy vegan option in Westchase, come here! Eat well, Carolyn

I liked this place. I really enjoyed my chicken shawarma plate. My boyfriend had the beef shawarma which I didn't really care for. The hummus that came with the beef shawarma and the garlic paste that came with mine were both very good. The salad which takes up most of the plate was very good but I must say I didn't eat much of it because I really wanted to finish the chicken. I would definitely go back here but it wasn't really my boyfriends cup of tea.

Food was delicious. This is the closest of this type of food in the area, and I'm so glad they didn't take advantage of it. They genuinely care about the quality of their food & service. It's a small location but cozy, and the food & drinks were great. Would recommend.

Try the Garlic Spread ( aka Toum , a whipped garlic that's perfect with hummus or on a wrap ) it's strong but it's the only place around that makes it right. Friendly Service Clean Establishment Very good prices Fairly Large Portions Fantastic Tasting Healthy Food

Fresh Bites has been a great addition to a Westchase dining scene in desperate need of a spark. Funny thing is that it's pretty much right across from Hungry Greek, one of the few other good places to eat in the area. Both Mediterranean, both little strip mall joints, both very tasty. I've tried their fisherman's plate, chicken shawarma, lamb kabab and vegetarian plate. Everything tastes very fresh, well seasoned and clearly prepared with care. The 'meat' dishes come with a terrific salad, rice and grilled veggies. But the vegetarian plate is the star IMO. Delicious hummus, tabouli, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, an amazing rice with lentils, salad...If all vegetarian food tasted like this I wouldn't need meat. Well, probably not but you get the point. I can't wait to taste the rest of the menu. So now that Westchase has Mediterranean all figured out, can someone open a good taco joint?

Solid Food, good service. The Lady at the front is always warm & welcoming. I have only had takeout but they do have a bar for those wanting to dine in. The Vegetarian plate is my go to. They have gotten much better on wait times since they first open. My office regularly orders from Fresh bites & we have never been disappointed. Delish!

Food was very good. My complaint is I have food allergies and when I told her that- I would expect they to properly list ALL ingredients. It was a young girl that took my order, I think the owners daughter. Probably too young to understand the critical nature of food allergies. I'll go back but was really upset and itchy from that error.

Stuffed grape leaves? There was only about 5 grains of rice in them. Way more leaf than filling. Pita bread so tough your jaw hurts after trying to chew it And worst of all, my beef was beginning to spoil. How can a restaurant serve old meat? YUCK!

  • Breanna M.

The vegetarian plate is delicious. They use fresh, high quality ingredients to prepare their dishes. I love that they use grass fed meats. The owners are very kind and friendly. You can't go wrong with Fresh Bites!

I can't say enough good things about Fresh Bites. From the unbelievably friendly and helpful family owners to the fresh and delicious food, this place is a gem. I've never been a huge fan of middle eastern cuisine. I didn't dislike it, but I would never count it among my favorites. This place has completely changed my mind. Some of the options are adventurous, like the raw kebbe I just tried. I would never even think of sampling it anywhere else, but Fresh Bites' reputation for serving nothing but the safest and freshest food in a clean environment put me at ease. Don't be afraid to take your kids, as my son loved the hand-cut potato chips that came with the delectable slider. Try the specials. You won't regret it!

This place is a real gem in the Westchase area and I can't say enough good things about it! The food was delicious, and you could taste the fact that everything was homemade... In this day and age it feels great to be able to trust what you are eating at a restaurant, and they are proud of their organic and no GMO products. The owners are friendly, helpful and courteous and the overall experience made me excited to come back soon...

What a disappointment. After reading all the raving reviews, I convinced my husband to take me there. Overall review- overpriced and very bland tiny portions. We ordered the white cabbage salad as an appetizer. It was delivered after our meal was served. My husband ordered the beef shawarma and I ordered the lamb kafta dinner. Both plates were mostly filled with salad and very little protein. The hummus was very bland, I never thought it was possible to make hummus flavorless. Two very small pieces of lamb kafta came with my dinner, and it was bland. The rice was bland. Did I mention that I asked for a glass of water twice and it never came? Maybe it was an off night for the staff. I don't know what the other reviewers' experience but nothing like we did. I will not be coming back to this place again.

Always amazing food! Family owned and operated. I love their lemonade. Shawrma is good. Hummus is fantastic. 10/10 would put in mouth again.

  • Kevin G.

I had the beef shawarma and really enjoyed it. They accidentally also gave me a chicken shawarma and that wasn't quite as good as the beef. My wife had the falafel shawarma and I also thought that wasn't as good as the beef shawarma. The homemade lemonade was disappointing (more sweet than sour). Seemed like a very nice family running the place. I recommend for the beef shawarma if you are in the area.

A breath of fresh air. Fresh Bites does it right. Great portions, ambiance, service... like the name its fresh. The Kebbeh was excellent, try the Labneh as an appetizer, it's so fresh and delicious, the lamb is out of this world. plan on going back to sample more dishes. No complaints hear, don't give out 5 stars often, but this was one of the easier ones.

This place has it all; fresh ingredients, authentic tastes, great ambience and friendly staff. They don't freeze anything and make everything fresh which made their kefta kabab the tastiest I've ever had. This is a family owned business and everyone was very friendly. If you're anywhere close to this restaurant you should try it. The owner is a very sweet lady. She offered us complementary desert (I think it was termerin cake); it was really good.

Good Healthy food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. I ordered beef kabab meal, came with salad, veggies, hummus, and rice. I am always looking for places that have healthy dishes and this is definitely one. They use premium beef, and you can tell, it was great. They also have great healthy drinks, not just soda. Coming back soon.

Fresh Bites is by far our favorite local place to eat in the Westchase/Nine Eagles/Oldsmar area. We have had their fisherman's plate, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, chicken kabobs, and vegetarian plate and was impressed with them all. Their hummus is my favorite. I no longer buy it at the store - I just buy a side order when I stop in and keep it at home. My stepson loves their fish and kids chicken shawarma meal which comes with hand cut potato chips. Oh and their fresh squeezed lemonade is fantastic too. My fiance enjoys the hibiscus tea, but it's too floral for me. Although, I find it interesting that they hand make a beverage from a flower. Each plate has a fairly large portion. I'm a pretty lean female and can barely eat everything that comes with the beef shawarma platter without feeling heavy afterwards. The owners have partnered with Niman Ranch to offer grass fed beef and cage free chicken and every ingredient is fresh and organic. Believe me, you can taste the difference. The atmosphere is casual. We have gone for date night and sat at the bar to enjoy a glass of wine with our meal, and we have gone for family dinner. I would highly recommend that you give this place a try.

I'm so glad that Fresh Bites is so near me! I love LOVE mediterranean food, and Lebanese is my favorite, and am always on the look out for something fresh, local, and delicious. Fresh Bites is all of the above. My husband and I, as well as my parents, have eaten here separately and together, dine-in and take-out, once a week for the past six weeks. It's so good. Everything is homemade - even the lemonade, which is awesome! So far we've tried the grape leaves (hand-rolled), the hummus, the yogurt-cucumber salad, the lamb kafta kebab, the kibbeh, the chicken and the beef shwarma, the falafel, and the vegetarian platter. Everything is delicious. I usually don't like falafel, but this falafel is AMAZING. Did I mention that the meat comes from local ranches, and that it's organic, free-range, anti-biotic and hormone free? Do you know how major that is? Another reviewer said that she doesn't care about that sort of thing, and that she'd rather take quantity over quality. Even if you agree with that statement, Fresh Bites is still wonderful! I always have leftovers, and the prices are totally reasonable. Most important for me, however, is that everything is homemade by the owner. She makes the little pickles that come with the falafel, the buttery baklava, and the sweet, polenta-like cake that tastes of rosewater and almonds. This lady is the jam. We're so lucky to have such a high quality restaurant in our area.

It's hard to find a place in the area where they fry their French fries in non-meat oil or oil where everything else is not fried in--like the nuggets, wings, etc. As a life long vegetarian, that is appreciated to avoid sickness later. The fries are actually homemade chips. Delicious. SUPER delicious. Plus the fruits and vegetables are organic and locally grown when possible. That was a pleasant surprise. You can taste the fresh richness in the salads. If you are a meat eater, their meat comes from locally grass fed animals with no antibiotics and hormones. I am told that that makes a difference in taste too. The staff is super friendly and have a genuine care about them. Everyone who worked there said hi to me with a smile that said, "I love serving you". Good atmosphere from the music and surroundings. I had the falafel plate with a side of hummus. My husband and kids had the falafel sandwich. The spices in the falafel were a little stronger than I am use too but good other wise.

This is truly a hidden treasure in the Tampa Bay area. The quality and the taste is like no other. I eat here at least 3 times a week and attribute a great portion of my significant weight loss to the food. It's all natural and organic at an incredible price and the taste is amazing. This is a family run business and I've grown to admire and love them tremendously. They make you feel like family.

Seriously the best Lebanese food in Tampa. The owners provide impeccable service and extremely friendly service. Food is the bomb! You want to feed a lot of people on the cheap, then this Is your place. Great value, Great Food, Good people is a win-win for Westchase.

Cute small Mediterranean cafe with organic ingredients (including beer and wine) and antibiotic & hormone free meat. We had both the beef and chicken Shwarrma and kebbah and hummus. It was all wonderful! And the lemonade and hibiscus tea were wonderful! We really enjoyed the meal and will come back!

I have lived in Westchase for many years and did not learn about Fresh Bites until several months ago. It is now part of my food staple and I go there at least 3 times a week. I really like that their food is high quality, fresh and healthy, and tasty. I feel good after I eat a meal there unlike how I feel when I cheat and eat fast food. I usually eat on the go and they are quick; I call in the order and it is ready in less than 10 mins. I am still exploring the menu but my regular 'go-to' wraps that I order have been the beef shawarma and chicken shawarma and grape leaves. I especially like that the owners are always there and 100% involved in the business. You can tell they are very proud and care about their business and it shows in the quality and service. I cancelled an order at another Westchase restaurant earlier this week because it was being run by a bunch of careless teenagers. It makes you appreciate the quality of prideful ownership being involved in daily operations.

Delicious Lamb Grilled Kafta Kabab, decent portion size with the rice and the salad. My friend had the Chicken Shawarma which was good, be forewarned this dish comes with garlic paste on the side and not hummus, in case you try this and wonder why the hummus is so garlicky. The green coffee drink is really good, not too strong, not too light. The Hibiscus Tea is too "flowery" tasting in my opinion. Service is very friendly, this is family owned and run, the food came out pretty fast. Not a huge place but not tiny either, about 8 or 9 tables.

Amazing restaurant. Fresh and organic ingredients are used here. I was in the area for work training and was craving felafel. Thanks to yelp I found this place. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. The felafel wrap was amazing! I wasn't able to finish it all. I also ordered baklava to go. I also tired the cold green coffee drink which was surprising flavorful and I enjoyed it. I only wish I lived closer, not one hour away.

Amazing amazing food!! The kebeh is fantastic as is the shawarma. We also always get an extra green salad because it's so good we always want extra than what comes with the dinners. This place is a definite must try. The best bonus is everything is organic and/ or locally sourced as well as home made everything means that you can feel good about eating it as well.

Good food, awkward service and high prices lands a 3 star max for Fresh Bites. Me and La Chica stopped in here for lunch and grabbed a Baba Ganoush, chicken shwarma wrap and two drinks and paid $27. Yeah, $27 for a sandwich and some mashed up eggplant. While it was delicious as all get out, I just can't get past the price. The wrap didn't come with anything in the way of sides, no combo meal deals, etc., so it's a la carte. Insane. And the woman who runs the place is extremely awkward to deal with. She basically whispers to you like she has an abusive husband in the back who's going to thump on her if she speaks to loudly, or reads or writes. Jesus, I don't know what the hell was going on in this place, but it was uncomfortably quiet as well. They're in dire need of a radio for some background noise or something. Someone please help them out because they have the foundation for a really solid business. I'd love to go back sometime after I take out a small business loan because I enjoyed what little food I did get for the price!

Healthy, Organic Lebanese fare in a clean, friendly establishment near home. Liked the Green Coffee and Hibiscus Tea options, really liked the Baba Ganoush, and being able to see some of the offerings thru the cooler window. They offer grass fed beef, and locally farmed chicken which is all great. The bad part for ,me is, I don't care about any of that. The Shwarma wrap was good but after blowing 20.00 on lunch for two, I wished I had hit up some nasty buffet and gorged my face hole instead. This place is probably too good for me, and we're breaking up now. It's not you, it's me, Fresh Bites. I can't tell the difference with unprocessed organically grown expensive foods, and I'm more about quantity than quality. Stay healthy my friend, I'll call you after my first bypass.

If you are into fresh organic healthy Lebanese food in Tampa area, then look no further! I ordered the kufta lamb kebab, was delicious. My husband ordered the beef shawarma and loved it! The owner was very friendly and she explained to us how important for her to serve healthy grass fed beef. I would be going there again for sure.

Was looking for Lebanese food. Great local spot in Westchase. Don't know on the service since I ordered my meal to go. Will defiantly go back!

Delish beef shawarma! Good for a quick lunch, carry out or dinner. It was my bfs 1st time having Lebanese food and he loved it! It seems like a family owned business. Everyone was very nice. They also have a little wine bar and craft beers if you want a couple drinks.

I've lived near this place for 5 years but never knew it was there (thanks to Yelp I found it!). It's a great little place with a great menu and quality food! The staff was so sweet and they have a little wine area that I will definitely be going back for. I got the chicken wrap and it was excellent, made perfectly! I will absolutely be making this a regular stop!

On a whim, my wife wanted some lamb kabob so we did a quick yelp search and found this place nestled in Westchase. The seasoning is amazing!! Portions are just right. We ordered to go and the amount of food was not enough to have extra food the next day, but that's good in many ways. This is not the last time we order here...I recommend this place to anyone! Nice staff as well! Not to be understated!!

The restaurant's website is really well run, but it doesn't reflect correctly the rest of the business. When you walk into the storefront, the decor is lacking, though it is clean. A lot is kept in the deli cooler in the front so you see some of the platters, and they were all a little more disappointing than I was hoping. The food was good, but it wasn't anything outstanding. I had the seasonal salad with grilled chicken tenders. The lettuce was coated in dressing, so I'd suggest asking for dressing on the side. The chicken was good. I had wanted to try something with kale in it, as it was on the menu, but she said they don't have kale anymore because no one ever ordered it. We'll be back again because it's convenient, but I'll choose Hungry Greek 9/10 times.

Fantastic! My girl friend had heard about Fresh Bites from a work mate. She keenly aware that I am big fan of Mediterranean cuisine and suggested that we try it out. The restaurant in located in a fairly new strip center hidden behind a 7-11 C-store. The space is relatively small and unassuming, the atmosphere is clean, crisp and nicely decorated. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you, no servers, no tipping. The dishes came out rather quickly and WOW, they were nicely adorned with cucumbers, radishes, and house-made, delicious picked beets. Yum! We ordered the Vegetarian Combination for 2; consisting of Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and Tabouli salad. The hummus was drizzled with delicious extra-virgin olive oil, the Baba you could taste the eggplant had been fire-roasted on the flame grill (traditional), and the Tabouli made with whole pieces of Italian flat parsley, it tasted as if they made it fresh just for our order. My girl friend ordered a house greens salad which was huge, coated with the special house dressing, it was absolutely spectacular. although we ordered everything to share, I could not stop eating the salad made with organic lettuce, crispy local cucumbers, celery and red onions. The Combo for 2 did not include Falafel (1 of my faves), and they did not offer a side order of Falafel, so the owner suggested that we order the Falafel pita without the pita. The Falafel was cooked to perfection, nicely browned and slightly crispy on the outside, and moist and well seasoned on the inside. I would have liked to see a side order of Falafel available as a menu option. I would order that every time I visit. The restaurant appeared to have a large wine selection, but we do not drink. The owners were very pleasant and personable. We live in Clearwater, but plan to return as often as possible. Everything was perfect!

I tried this place last night and the food was fantastic. I am a pretty picky eater and was impressed not only by the taste of the food but the quality of the meat. They use all natural local produce and never hormones or antibiotics. The food is prepared fresh so it is not fast. If you are getting take out - save yourself some time and call ahead with the order. If your dining in they have organic wine and beer to drink while you wait.

AMAZING! How had we never been here?? The cabbage salad with lemon dressing was super fresh, healthy, and delicious. The falafel wrap.... WOW, unique and tasty! Lentils... so so so yummy! They use organic/local/fresh ingredients, and seems family owned. Good kids menu too, so I can take my little guy. I will be back AT LEAST weekly!!

I can write a book about Fresh Bites. I eat there almost once a week. What a great place. Delicious food, variety of fantastic dishes, great atmosphere, and the owners are so nice and friendly, even their kids are well behaved. The food is yummy, fresh, organic and local. The place is sooooo clean. Every time i go there I try new dishes and I always love them. So far I had the roast beef, chicken shawarma, grilled fish, stuffed zucchini with meat, and yogurt. All delicious and come with yummy sides and great salads. The Kafta is fabulous too. I just had that yesterday!!!. Every time I'm there, we always start with their veggie plate, it has the best fresh appetizers , tabouli, mudardara, hummus, grape leaves, and the best baba ganoush ever!!!! My favorite dish is their shark al mohshi (eggplant with meat and rice ) and the their fries are the best. Not to forget their desserts, love the esmalia with cheese , the baklawa and mini backlawa are so good!!!! If you are in the area, you have to give it a try, even if you are not, trust me it is wroth the drive!!!!!!

This was EXCELLENT!!! I kept putting off going because I thought everything would surely be bleh, if not yucky, since everything on the menu is so healthy and I was raised on junk food. My husband and I were both truly amazed and since it is close, we will be going at least weekly. This is my new favorite restaurant: there are so many healthy items (but so tasty). I am seriously blown away! Even the salads (we tried 3) were awesome!

This was a great find. Organic, grass fed meats with organic produce, plus they cook with coconut and olive oil. The grape leaves are simply mouth watering and spectacular. I got the lamb keftah kabob dish which was juicy and flavorful. The hummus and rice and veges that came alongside were the perfect topping. This was delicious home cooked food that was just wonderful. It's quality is that of which I try to cook at home. The owners are super kind and great to talk to. Can not rate this place high enough. Will come back and we live all the way in Riverview, FL. That one bad review here...I don't know what they were smoking when they went. Cheers to this little gem in Tampa.

This simple little Mediterranean restaurant is fantastic food. Grass fed, hormone free, and perfectly seasoned. I live out of town an discovered through my sister but have to stop any time I am in the area. Authentic and captures the essence of true Lebanese food!

Recently, I received a recommendation to eat some healthy goods at a little joint in Westchase called "Fresh Bites." With the referral i was told that their food is all organic and bought from a local ranch. Needless to say, my friend had me at "organic" and "local." Those beautiful words get me every time. Walking into the tiny eatery, I was immediately greeted by the friendly woman (an owner, I believe) working behind the counter. Brightly lit and very simply decorated, I also noticed how sparkling clean this place was and for that, I was thrilled. The woman offered her help explaining any and all of the menu's items for me as this place is Lebanese with numerous dishes very difficult to pronounce, much less read. Thankfully, I'm a relatively cultured broad in the way of cuisine so I felt very capable with my menu selection abilities. With tons of interesting salads, kabobs, falafel, and shawarmas in pita or plate form along with sides like fresh-made hummus, grape leaves, and tabouli, this joint has got the mediterranean food lover covered. I chose the Lamb Grilled Kefta Kabob to go. Though it took a solid 15 minutes for my food to be ready, the owner assured me I would be very pleased with the quality of the meal. I believed her. When I finally got home with my boxed fare (an entire 30 minutes later, mind you) I was so anxious to dig in. Served with white rice, hummus, roasted potatoes and vegetables, the kabob of lamb was immediately delighting my nose with its delicious aromas. Upon first bite, I immediately loved the deeply flavorful and tender meat. Cooked to perfection, it paired so well with the rice, veggies and smooth, garlicy hummus. As one who rarely cleans her plate, I had done so in ten minutes flat. Everything truly tasted so fresh and was flawlessly seasoned. A bit pricey at $12.99, you must know that at Fresh Bites, you are getting what you pay for. All of the food is hormone and antibiotic free, coming straight from a local farm. They also use sea salt in all of their dishes as well as stevia in place of sugar where needed. For a health conscious gal like myself, I was so ecstatic to find a place that really "gets it." I pray they are successful and down the road, branch out to a neighborhood closer to my home.

I tried this at a recommendation from a foodie friend. OMG! It was so delicious!! When you walk in, you won't be impressed. I did expect a restaurant atmosphere, but it was immediately forgotten about when I tasted the lamb kebob. It was served off the skewer with rice, a nice salad, a pita and hummus. THe lamb was seasoned to perfection and tender and delish!! The hummus was homemade and a nice little side to the dish. I commented that I will be coming in all the time and the table behind us said "Yes, once we tried this place, we became addicted" I can definitely see why!! Seems they do tons of takeout orders also.

Fresh Bites is wonderful! Perfectly sized portions, very reasonable prices, absolutely delicious cuisine, and a family run establishment! I've been a few times now and I'm impressed every time. Definitely try the falafel! Fresh ingredients and a home made flavor...a perfect combination.

The beef shawarma and beef kebab are great, along with the fries. However, 6 falafels for $11 seem a bit pricy. Overall, I would recommend this place to any shawarma lover :)

Had dinner here last night with my wife and son. Following my son's lead, I enjoyed the beef kabob plate. It's medium rare grass fed beef kabobs were some of the most flavorable beef I've ever enjoyed. The serving sizes were just right and each item was prepared to perfection. What a nice surprise to find so close to our home. Kudo's to this restaurant's owners and chefs. Keep doing what your doing as it really is excellent. Even though we don't eat out much, I hope my wife and won't wait for our son's next visit to enjoy another meal at Fresh Bites.

I love this place. Clean, healthy, well seasoned and perfectly cooked mediteranean food. The lamb kefta is phenomenol. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in quality and flavor. The owner is delight, the server could wear more clothing. I would stick to takeout. It is not cheap but neither is local organic produce and meat.

What a great find right here in Westchase! The tabouli and baba ghanouj was outstanding and will be going back for that Vegetarian Combo Platter later this week. Besides great food, I love that they are using all organic and local ingredients if at all possible. All the beef and lamb is grass fed - free range and raised on non GMO feed! Prices range from $4 -$13 per plate, kids menu too.

I spoke with Samir many times as he was setting up the restaurant and he refused to open until everything was perfect! He was so concerned about sourcing food as locally as possible - something important to my family for social and health reasons. The healthy recipes are so thorough and he and his wife, Anissa, really know how to pull it all together in the kitchen. Very excited and know that they will be successful here in Westchase for many years to come. You've got to try this place. Healthy, succulent, delicious food!
