I'm stumped. Why do folks love this absolutely average burger? I had a grilled cheese here once as well, and felt awful afterwards, I mean how much peanut oil soaked toast can a person shove? To be sure I'm not watching my weight, but this burger isn't worth the liverfront property to me. How could I be so lucky to have this location within spitting distance?

Food was delicious. Called in an order and told a time. Arrived but had to wait another twenty minutes. The usual welcome and repeat back of order and the five guys way is not present at this location

like many chains this restaurant follows the menu selection forced upon it, and they follow the rules for interior design, layout, etc... While this location is clean and friendly, and generally empty, it's food quality needs a boot in the ass. Fresh ingredients, awesome burgers, and those FRIES are what they are all known for, but this place needs to look at the food prep and burger cooking. First prep: slices of tomatoes not chunks, onion pieces smaller or much larger, etc... The burger is just TOO greasy. I like a greasy burger, but this sopping mess cant keep the bun from falling apart in the first 3 minutes of eating it. WOW! I'm not looking for a healthy choice here, but I think my arteries were clogging while I sat there. Cook it longer, hotter, or get some better beef! At least the fries are always hot, always crisp, and always overflowing....

There are no frills at Five Guys. You can get a burger with one kind of cheese (American) and a myriad of toppings for one set price. Their fries are hand-cut and heavenly. Try them cajun style. Portions are generous, the "little" burger is still almost too much for me to eat on my own. These are pretty basic burgers but what they lack in ingenuity. they make up for in consistency and taste. Prices are really good--we can get two burgers, two regular fries (Pro tip: start with one order of fries to share, then order more if needed but they give you A LOT), and two sodas for just over $20. The only thing keeping this location from five-stars on our most recent visit was the time it took to get our food. From ordering to recieving took 15 minutes which is kind of ridiculous when we were the only people in there. Not a big deal though, the burgers are worth the wait!

I remember when the Five Guys opened at Fletcher & Dale Mabry. People were going crazy to eat these D.C. burgers. The lines were long, and the pay off was minimal. Admittedly, I was one of the chumps who queued up to get one of the alleged best burgers on the face of the planet. And while the burger was good, it was far from that. My opinion of Five Guys still remains the same. This particular location, which stands a mere stone's throw from our house, is a place I visit about once a quarter. Sometimes I want a burger without the questionable source of meat in a fast food burger, or the hassle of waiter service, tips, etc. of a restaurant burger. When this criteria is met, I end up at Five Guys. Of the many times I've eaten here, I've never been disappointed or overly thrilled. The burgers are good and the fries are plenty. I don't recon I will ever stop going, but I certainly won't rave about the food here either, hence the 2.5, errrrr 3 star.

I got there mid afternoon, around 2pm. No one was in the store, no one seemed to be behind the counter, at least until I hit the register and then a single guy popped out the back and greeted me. I remember when this place hopping, when it first opened. I guess they have an afternoon slump between the Lunch Rush and the Dinner Rush. Anyway, I placed my order for a Little Burger with A1, Grilled onions & Mushrooms and a small order of fries. I asked for the fries to be extra crispy with Mustard. I know I'm odd. *shrug* The burger and fries came up quite quickly and were done to perfection. They have made their fries smaller in size than they used to, but they still over fill the serving size so you do get more than you order. I can say that I am not fond of that 100 flavour coke machine. I get that it's totally customizable, but Meh.. just MEH. The flavours are all off somehow. It tastes powdery to my delicate tastebuds.

This is your no frills burger joint. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. I ordered online and then went into the store when told to pick it up. It was almost ready; they mention in the email that they cook the fries when you arrive so that they're fresh and not cold. That's so smart, and the extra 2 minutes to wait is worth it. The burger is delicious and was correctly made. It was hand shaped and juicy, and all of the toppings were fresh and tasty. It hit the spot! The cajun fries are tasty and have the perfect amount of spice on them. The seasoning is similar to Old Bay seasoning, so the first few fries remind me of fish. Once I got that out of my head they just taste perfectly spicy.

Next to In N Out this is the best burger chain there is. Remember if you order a hamburger or cheeseburger you will get a double. You have to tell them you want a little if you only want one patty. Plus they give copious amounts of fries so one is enough for two people. Oh and the hotdogs are pretty good to.

I have always wanted to go to Five Guys but never had the chance.. until now. Glad we took our order to go since the dining area was a little messy. Got the bacon cheeseburger with everything except mushrooms and a regular order of fries. I was really happy. The burger was good but a little greasy which I blame on the bacon. The regular order of fries was really a lot of fries, maybe next time I'll get the small order. when I want a burger, definitely coming to Five guys.

I used to like it a lot, but they have gotten too pricy. My only complaint about the food is too much salt.

Excellent experience and food quality as always. 5 guys is a nice staple wherever I go and I can always count on quality whenever I eat there. This one was friendly, fast and delicious. Take a minute to grab a burger or some fries for lunch while you're out and about.

Luckily I am not a huge hamburger lover, because this place is less than a mile from my house. I haven't been to a Five Guys in years, not because it's not wonderful, but because a greasy hamburger isn't in my daily diet. But when I do want that greasy hamburger (and fries for that matter), Five Guys is a great option. For around $4.50, you can order a fully loaded, freshly made single patty. I think it's plenty big, but if you want more, there is a double. Their fries are fresh cut and fresh fried. Do yourself a favor and share the fries with someone-their portion is huge! I'm still not sure how this location stays open-it's never busy and I've never seen more than 5 people inside at any given time.

They never disappoint me... In Texas of course we have a 5 Guys, but I`ve always gone to Fuddruckers because that is one of my favorite places. But moving to Florida there are no Fudds only a couple of different variety of burger joints and I have yet to find one that meets my overall blown away criteria. Be in reminder I am from Texas and I love beef so burgers are a big thing to me. Back to 5 Guys.... There are like my Fuddruckers here in Florida, their burgers are so juicy and succulent. The cheese just melts and the bacon is a perfect fat with no extra grease. The Cajun style fries are to die for, a tad spicy but with an extra kick. Very inexpensive for such a great burger. I get the Jr size burger and split the fries because I can never finish it. I love the idea of the peanuts you get while your waiting for your food, and the staff is always friendly and happy to help. They don`t have crazy options so its not hard to choose. I look forward to the next time I go to 5 Guys. :)

I come here maybe once a month. Why? Because this place is consistent! And the burgers are great. I've eaten at all of the "craft burger" joints that keep popping up in Tampa. They do not compare to a Five Guys burger. Five Guys uses fresh ingredients. Why is the burger so greasy? Because it's real beef. Not the pink slime laden horse meat you get from the other burger joints. And the fries are greasy because they use real fresh cut potatoes that do retain some oil after frying. So if your looking for some sort of healthy meal you're not going to find it here. You're just going to get a good damn burger and fries every time. My only gripe with this location is web ordering. If you say my food is going to be ready in 10 minutes. It should be ready in 10 minutes. Not 20 or 25 minutes.

This chain always reminds me of my memories of living in the Northeast so it'll always have a special place in my heart. This location is quick, efficient and clean. I swear the regular serving of fries they give you is more than enough to share among THREE people. They are very generous with their fries. I love the Cajun spiced fries! I like how you can customize your burgers with toppings at no additional charges. They also put little numbered stickers on top of each burger so no one has to play the guessing game. I normally just order a small burger since their regular burgers come with two patties. The burgers are always juicy and freshly made! The price can't be beat either. If you have a peanut allergy, I suggest you not to venture here! The complimentary peanuts are always a nice touch!

Five Guys is a well-known burger joint that started in the Washington, DC area in the mid 1980's. For many people, Five Guys is synonymous with the gourmet burger experience, although there are numerous options around the country that now rival that label. Instead of the fancy imported types of beef found elsewhere, Five Guys uses 80 / 20 high-grade chuck ground beef with a standard egg bun for their burgers, and all of the toppings are fresh. They are known for producing a consistent product which has been highly-rated by ZAGAT survey readers and many regional magazines around the country. This Five Guys can be found on Countryway Boulevard near Race Track Road in the Westchase area of NW Hillsborough County. It's near my business partner's house, so it's often a popular lunch stop when we're anxious for a change of scenery. The menu is very simple....you've got burgers, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, Kosher style hot dogs with cheese and / or bacon, veggie sandwiches, grilled cheese sammies, BLT's, and some mighty awesome French fries. There's a wide variety of toppings and sauces allowing you to mix & match to build your own custom burger, all at no extra charge. The regular burger is actually a double patty behemoth for those with large appetites. Otherwise the "little" hamburger is a single patty burger of extreme yumminess. The French fries are cooked in pure, no cholesterol, tasty peanut oil which gives them a wonderful flavor. Speaking of peanuts, Five Guys has large open containers of roasted in-shell, salted peanuts around the restaurant and you are encouraged to scoop up a big helping of peanuts and much on them while waiting for your burger to be cooked. WORD OF WARNING, if you have a peanut allergy then Five Guys is not the place for you. That just leaves more for the rest of us!!! Nice place to visit if you're looking for something other than a Happy Meal. Give Five Guys a try and you'll quickly become a fan.

I'm a big fan of Five Guys. In the scale of burgerdom, I'd put them in the middle, right between the Kobe Burger at Grille 54 and the hamburger from the Happy Meal at McD's. They are nice and juicy, relatively simple, and well cooked. A regular burger is actually two patties, while the "little" burger is one patty. Oddly enough I love their hot dog. It's a real man's dog. Also, beware of the fries. A large order of fries will feed a family of four potato-deprived people. Seriously.

Five Guys is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. The food isn't outstanding, but honestly, if you want that greasy burger, this is the best place to go. As far as the burgers go, they are alright, nothing that is going to make you jump for joy though. They have a large number of toppings, and the best part is all of the toppings are free. As far as the fries go, they probably have some of the best french fries out of any chain store, and you will not regret ordering some. I love the cajun seasoning you can get, but be warned, it is spicy. The staff is usually pretty friendly. This is a counter service style restaurant, so you will be getting back up to grab your food when it is ready. My one big complaint service wise is that the food can take a while to come out. Other then that though, the service is pretty reliable. Over all, I enjoy coming here for the occasional burger, but it isn't someplace I keep on my regular rotation of places I want to eat.
