I love firehouse however on this occasion there were 3hot sauces out and subs were worse than subway.. I'll go back just not to this one.. Hopefully they will fix it up

I think this has taken the top spot for my favorite sub restaurant. I've only tried a handful of hot sandwiches, but they've all been delicious. And I think they have a great variety. Plus, I love the CocaCola freestyle drink machines. For the other reviewer, you have the option of requesting your break extra toasted. So far, my favorite is the NY Steamer.

Not bad, not great. Definitely not fast. I thought that this place would be a good, healthy and fast lunch option. I was wrong on at least one count. I tried the turkey bacon ranch sub combo. I asked for it with lettuce and tomato, no mayo or mustard. Sounds pretty simple, right? Apparently not, as the cashier did not hand me a cup for my drink until I asked. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I finally received my sandwich. It was fine. Someone forgot to add the ranch dressing, which did make the sandwich more healthful, but also made it rather dry. There was nothing especially memorable about my sandwich. The turkey tasted like all fast food lunch meat, the bacon was like fast food bacon (thin, soggy, anemic), and the bread was only okay (I do like that it was toasted, though). I will say that the pickle on the side was crisp and refreshing. Add the 15 minutes waiting for the sandwich to the 5 minutes I waited to give my order, and this was hardly a fast meal. I would have done better to go to the nearby Indian buffet or Panera or Jason's. Additionally, the staff was rather slow about cleaning tables, so I had to search for a clean place to eat. I'm not sure if I'd return.

I love their subs. Since they moved the New Tampa location though, I haven't been often (which is probably better for me actually). This location was fast and friendly, but the parking lot is always a little sketchy.

Don't get me wrong, I love firehouse subs! However, I was SO disappointed with how they treated me. I went to this one back in April, and when I got my to-go order, I thought it tasted wretched. The tomatoes were mushy and I could tell they'd been previously frozen. The bread wasn't toast enough and therefore was too soggy once I took it home (though I only live three mins away). It was just miserable, and disappointing. I emailed corporate and they apologized and sent me a free sub voucher. When I went back to this firehouse, the supervisor on duty was extremely rude and wouldn't accept my voucher, even implying that I was giving him a forgery. I emailed corporate again, fuming. I will say that the manager sent me quite a lengthy reply telling me the supervisor I had dealt with was new and that all her cashiers were told to accept those vouchers. When. I finally got to use my coupon yesterday (5 months after the original incident, mind you), the food was just alright. I still feel like they didn't toast my bread enough or put enough dressing on my Italian (which, if you go to ANY other firehouse, the Italian is the way to go!). Pick a different firehouse, really, any other one.
