Been to this coffee shop a couple times and I love the vibe in this casual chill place. It reminds me of good ol' college days, since this is located close to USF. There is free WiFi, and students are with their friends with their lap tops. Inside there are a handful of tables and couches. There's coffees, teas, lattes, sandwiches, and sweet stuff. People working there are super nice and helpful with the menu with tons of options. I picked the thai iced tea frappe, and loved it lots. You can also sit outside. There is some shade and it's on the side of the coffee house away from the tiny parking lot. There's a walk by window there to order as well. You can have your dog outside with you, but not inside. I have found more coffee houses where they can be inside with you, but not here. All around a nice chill local coffee shop spot. I like it a lot!!! Their last impression they left on me is their cute sign on the porch, "Don't forget that Kindness is Absolutely Free."

I visited Felicitous on a rainy weekday to meet a friend for lunch. Parking was a bit of a struggle as there wasn't much space in front of the lot. However, I decided to park in the shopping mall that is right across from Felicitous. No biggie there. Inside, it was what I expected it to be after having seen some pictures on Yelp. It was quirky in a hippy, tea-loving, nirvana kind of way. There were lots of people inside working on personal computers, homework, reading, etc. It was like a smaller/local version of a certain chain restaurant I know. I ordered a hot Chai latte and caprese panini. My girlfriend ordered the Chai frappe and the cheesus panini. I really enjoyed the Chai latte. It was made with more spices than usual Chai lattes at other coffee shops I have visited. I really like the added spice to my Chai! Very comforting on a rainy day. The caprese panini was okay. I wasn't impressed by it as it didn't offer much flavor. The pesto helped punch up the flavor some but it was still missing something. Maybe some spinach leaves or different type of bread? The panini bread was a bit stale. It was crunchy, which may have been what they were going for but I thought it was a bit on the hard side. My friend's sandwich was also just okay. I think her panini might have been missing some herb action... oregano maybe? Anyway, I was left with more to be desired. Maybe I need to try more of their bevvies as it seems like that's what most people rave about here. I would go back for some hot drinks but probably not for the food.

I wasn't felicitous with my experience here. I intended on having lunch here but I didn't want to spend nearly $15 on a sandwich and a drink so I just got an overpriced iced caramel latte instead where they charge extra for whip cream (really?). It took ten minutes for my small drink to arrive and within a couple minutes...poof...it was gone! Maybe the 80+ degree temperature inside the cafe made me extra thirsty. Quick look at their A/C controller indicated 78 degrees but it didn't seem to be working. As far as the cafe itself, think of it as a scatterbrained old lady's house - odd, mismatched things and old furniture throughout. I wouldn't call it hipster, as some have mentioned, just because they serve drinks out of small mason jars. The young USF crowd seem to dig it though so they have a good following. Do not attempt to park in their lot or risk getting your car bumped into. It's REALLY tight. One positive note: plenty of board games to play.

Cute little cafe with a hipster feel located in a quaint home, reminding me of Dandelion Cafe in Orlando. A lot of students come here to study, but due to lack of space, it can get pretty crowded. Don't be surprised if you're sharing tables or the couch. There's a small parking lot of maybe 6 spots in the front, but you can also park in the big parking lot across the street. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, so I tried their lavender tea. I usually don't like lavender anything, but it was pretty decent. They have pastries, sandwiches, and salads too. I ordered the vagabond sandwich, which had big chunks of chicken and pesto. I'd come here again-- I like that it's pretty chill and quiet.

One of my favorite places to get coffee and to meet up with friends. I always get the mississippi mud, which the best way to describe it is a s'mores coffee. It's a generous amount and its not overly sweet which can be challenging for speciality, flavored coffee drinks. I've tried various of sandwiches there, and have yet to find one that I didn't love. My only complaint is how small and crammed it is there, and the past few times I've been there, it was ridiculously hot. They had a few tabletop fans but it didn't help with how hot and muggy it was in there. Hot coffee in a hot environment, not exactly preferred.

4 stars for a cool vibe and different types of drinks! Group of 6 of us met here this weekend and it was great to sit outside under lots of trees! It started to rain so we squeezed inside. It's a small old home converted into a coffee tea house that serves sandwiches and some baked goods! Very homey with couches and decor all miss matched. They had a desk with a shelf next to it near the bathroom with lots of board games! Not much area inside to sit. I ordered a caramel frapp without whipped creme. It came in a large glass. It seemed more like a milkshake and it was delicious! Others in the group had iced teas. I would love to go back and try a cupcake or cookies with a hot beverage!!

Went here in hopes of a waffagato but apparently distributors stopped carrying the waffle so it's not on the menu :( So that lead me to getting something else, the earl grey lavender tea with soy milk. It was good however very disappointed in the waffle news :(

My favorite cafe in the USF area. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Excellent sandwiches for those who don't eat meat, but their Vagabond (w/ chicken) is also great! I would label this place $$ for their prices, but the quality of food and service is well worth it. Eclectic indoor seating, outdoor seating & free wifi. Oh, and the ice cubes in their iced coffee are made of coffee. Bonus points.

Cute, almost too cute, coffee shop near USF. It's as if Etsy was a Starbucks. Repurposed chairs and tables, homemade sideshow-themed art, and mason jar frappes are the lay of the land. Barista was very friendly and film noir soundtrack playing in the background added to the ambience. In a part of town filled with miles of strip malls and parking lots, this gem really stands out.

This coffee shop offers what I would argue is the only bit of small business and culture in the immediate North Tampa area near the USF campus ... & It is ironically located just behind the very busy Starbucks coffee shop to the side of the road. They have an adorable exterior and patio area with a welcoming homey interior. Id argue its a local "hipster" hangout of mainly young college students , the artistic and politically inclined bunch with the occasional graduate students popping-in for a quiet place to study. The menu fittingly offers several vegan and vegetarian drinks, meals and treats! With plenty of non-vegan items as well. I really loved the window service for those sitting outdoors. A great little detail that highlighted the unique environment. Oh & my latte + sandwich were perfect as I sat under the beautiful tree out there! MUST visit their website: felicitouscoffee.com for more info on the awesome community events they host!

Cool little artsy place. Such a refreshing hold out from giant chains. Great espresso made anyway you like with a smile and artistic flair. Sit outside under 100 yr old oaks. Support your local business.

I visited this place because of strong yelp ratings. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very chill. In fact, I had a good conversation with a few customers that happened to be there at the same time. However, I don't think this is the place to bring a large group of friends if they want to hang out. When I was there, a lot of people were working on their laptops and studying. Additionally, the panini and latte I had were average.

Felicitous is a quaint little coffee shop located off of Fowler Avenue. It is housed in an old house, with a huge grassy area perfect for picnic coffee, desserts and Panini's. Felicitous has a unique bevy of drinks on their menu including items like the Mississippi Mud, Honey Bear, Applebutter Express, Hot Snoof and the Teacher's Pet. Not wanting to break the bank, I had to force myself to only choose one. That choice? The Teacher's Pet. The Teacher's Pet is a latte with dark chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate drizzle. It can be served hot or iced. For a small fee, they can make it with vegan milk. I loved the drink. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of coffee taste. The peanut butter and chocolate provided a subtle Reese's flair. My only complaints about this place is the price. The latte, vegan milk and tip ran me about six bucks. I can get a similar sized vegan specialty drink at some of the tea places in the area for at least a dollar cheaper. That being said, I will be back. The sense of community and setting are just too great to pass up.

I used to be in love with Felicitous. I found out about it because of its proximity to USF (and its coupon in the student coupon book). Then, I discovered Buddy Brew and Zeal. Compared to the incredibly high-quality coffee in Tampa, Felicitous is just aight. The coffee has never been amazing to me, and I can never get a consistent tasting drink (except for the Mississippi Mud). I will say though - the baristas are super friendly (even if some are a little hard to hear when you order), and they've never been less than kind. They're even pretty good at suggesting drinks. If you're not looking to drive the 25 minutes to Buddy Brew or Zeal, Felicitous is a pretty good option. But, if you're looking for a really good cup of coffee, go elsewhere.

Cute coffee shop and great little working place really close to USF. Drinks are a little expensive, but the charm and great working space make up for it. I love their dark chocolate and peanut butter latte (Teacher's Pet)! Their vegan homemade garlic hummus is also worth a try! It is a great change up from the typical Starbucks or dunkin donuts.

This place is a great alternative coffee place. I came home from Belgium craving Liege waffles. This is the only place in the greater Tampa bay that seems to sell them. So, naturally, I had to come try them out. The Liege waffles, alas, are made elsewhere. With ice cream and whipped cream, they aren't bad, but alone, they are on the dry side. However, the coffee was awesome, and the vibe reminded me of the cool coffee places I used to frequent in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. So, of course, I loved it. I'd be here all the time if I were a cool USF student.

I love the coffee ice cubes! So cute! Needs a little bathroom remodeling. Wifi wouldn't stay connected.

Can't help but love it here! I used to go to the Starbucks that was right around the corner, but we decided to try this place out on a suggestion from a friend, and I have not been back to the Starbucks since! A lot of people will probably say that the coffee is expensive, but it's prices are comparable to Starbucks. You'll probably pay somewhere around $3-5 for a coffee based drink. They also have a variety of light lunch foods, and snacks, as well as other things you can purchase like artwork, or t-shirts. I love knowing that I am buying local, and supporting a local business. They offer free wifi, indoor and outdoor seating, and a free book exchange. They also have some games that you can play in the store. If you have a dog with you, feel free to order from their pick up window that is to the left of their store in the outdoor seating area. Parking can be kind of a drag, but if parking is a problem, you can always park across the seat in the parking lot for the strip of businesses that are there. Love it! I will definitely keep coming back!

Great ambiance. Quaint setting. Not polished and stiff like Starbucks so makes a great alternative. Nice place to meet up. An asset to the neighborhood.

Cutest, coziest coffee shop in Tampa. Hands down my favorite local place to hang out. The drinks are delicious (especially the iced Floridian), the atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly if not a little zany. I always bring my friends here for chill nights of kicking back and chatting. Can't recommend enough!

  • Dominick T.

Nice place, I asked for a tea herb mix and there it came in a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine van mug. Thats how much fun it is here. People talking, working, and a lot of character. There are art items for sale from small to large. There are games on the side. The menu is friendly to many dietary choices, but there are options for everything they serve. There are things to eat, sweet and savory, and plenty of hand made coffee drinks. Its also not a cookie cutter coffeehouse!

I went here with a friend a while back and had a good experience. This quaint little coffee shop is located in a house, tucked in a corner off the main drag. Parking was a bit of a mess, but we secured a spot and wandered in. Just like so many coffee places today, it was full of people on their laptops/tablets/phones being quiet. Part of me felt awkward having a conversation inside, almost as if we were in the library and getting the stink eye from people for chatting. I loved the vibe the decor created (even though the high top chairs/stool things weren't that comfortable), but the people-factor was a bit of a buzz-kill. We ordered some drinks, and my friend picked up one of their waffles. I'm pretty sure it's the same individual packaged waffle you can get at Costco, but to be fair, they're really good, especially warmed. Since it was hot out, I tried the iced coffee, which came with coffee ice cubes, and the iced latte. There wasn't anything especially remarkable about them, but I wasn't in the mood to experiment and try one of the crazy concoctions on their menu that day. One day I'll get back there and try something strange and reevaluate my experience.

Phenomenal service with the comfiest environment a coffee shop could possibly offer. Definitely a must visit!!!

This place is the cutest little coffee shop around and the service is great too! I loved looking at all the art on the walls while sipping on a delicious latte.

I ordered the waffagato and was super excited for it. Waffle, expresso and vanilla ice cream?! Who wouldn't want that? My only complaint is that they put the waffle on the bottom with the expresso so by the time you get to it its all soggy and inedible. I was really sad because I love waffles

Nice place to get coffee or tea in the area. I've frequently had their iced coffee and really appreciated the coffee ice cubes that come with it. They also have a broad range of teas and baked goods. It can get a bit cramped inside when it's busy, but the wifi signal extends out onto the patio, so you can still get lots of work done on a nice day. Be aware that their parking is a bit limited.

  • Michael B.

awesome hidden gem of a place. came in for wifi, left with an awesome customer experience, as the servers suggested an amazing tea combination and expanded my tea horizons. I've already been back and am planning on making a regular habit of doing so.

I loooooooove this cute little cafe for studying and catching up with friends. It's kind of hidden behind the starbucks mall, but I'm so glad I decided to turn in here after I saw the "FREE WIFI" sign. The baristas know their teas very well and I always enjoy a delicious cup of chai latte blend when I'm there. It's also a great cafe to study and people watch when you want to take a break. From art students to med students, you see a great variety of people hanging around and enjoying themselves. The table art and unique decor of the place puts me right at home.

  • Jennifer S.

I love everything about this place. When you go there you feel like you're just sitting around your best friends house chatting away & drinking coffee. I've tried too many drinks to count here but my favorite is the espresso and hot chocolate. The whole inside is like a bunch of mismatched chairs and tables. There are also old couches and coffee tables. Truly one of a kind. This was one of my favorite spots while in college. The menu accommodates vegans as well. The staff are beyond welcoming. Truly a relaxed environment.

I am reviewing this quirky little place because you have probably never heard of it and I am sure you want to like it before it is cool. Felicitous is the most over-the-top hipster coffee shop in all the known world. From their location in a converted old house near a university, to their indie art covered walls, to their sale of vegan, non-fat, handmade jewelry and clothes, they epitomize anti-establishment chic. Even the floors are creaky and whine when you tread on them. Skinny jeans, an ironically-worn gas station attendant shirt, and loafers without socks are an absolute requirement to even come in the gender neutral front door. If you can manage to find some thick black glasses without lenses and a MacBook on which to sit and write your non-conformist, anarchist novella while sipping a latte, even better. On the plus side, they do have decent coffee and some tasty desserts. The waffle bowls (served in mason jars, of course) are especially delicious.

My first time at this very hipster, trendy place! I ordered a vanilla chai combination and it was AMAZING!!!! All thanks to the friendly tea connoisseur that assisted with my choice! I recommend it to anyone looking for something nonconforming.

It's a very cute hole in the wall coffee shop. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're having coffee in your cool hippy friends house. The staff is super sweet as well. They always give excellent service. Not to mention the coffee rocks. If you want to get away from the busy library or just have a great cup of joe, this is the place. I'm not sure if they still have it but the traveler breakfast sandwich is amazing!

    (5)
  • Amber D.

The coffee and atmosphere is great. The parking and seating could be better....but that's because it's a small popular place with lots of options. They sell local art and some other random cute items like hand crafted jewelry. Some nights they even offer classes and activities, like yoga.

Just went here for the first time today and it is amazing. Very cozy and the staff is really nice too. One of the baristas took a photo of my Jack and Sally tattoo. =D I ordered the Spice Chai Latte and it was VERY yummy. I also ordered the Woodstock sandwich and that was DELICIOUS. I definitely love the art work inside as well and how they are very green and eco friendly.

Stumbled across this place while looking for parking for Starbucks, amusingly enough, and I am so glad that we did. When we walked in we felt a bit out of place. We are 30 year olds walking into a place that is clearly a common study spot. My boyfriend awkwardly announced that everyone looked so productive and everyone looked up from behind their laptops. My husband said the place smells like hippy (takes one to smell one). My husband got the frappe and it blew Starbucks frap out of the water, but was smaller. My bf got a waffle, a special of theirs. It came in a cup topped with peanut butter, jelly, whipped cream and peanut butter chips. They have other kinds of course but why would they need any? It was delicious. I was boring and got tea. Although nothing is boring about their tea selection. They have them in tins so you can smell them all. And I about drove my boys nuts while I systematically smelled every last one of them, settling finally on simply an iced chai. They said it tastes like apple pie tea. I can't wait to go back.

I went here for the first time the other night with a couple friends. It is kind of tucked away and easy to pass, but it's very quaint and homey. They have a large variety of coffee and desserts and seating both in and outside. I had the Floridian which was dark chocolate and orange mocha. Asked for no whip but when it was brought out he double checked and then knocked it off and put nutmeg on top. Seemed like a strange flavor combination to me but it was good. I liked that they used real mugs if you were partaking at the shop and it was easy to get something from the inside if you were outside through their little window. Priced similar to Starbucks and other coffee chains but more of a hip coffee shop vibe and fun flavors. Looking forward to going back!

  • Hoda B.

I just watch a documentary on Netflix called "Perfect cappuccino" so trying Felicitous's cappuccino was a big disappointment, it has a burnt taste, or I should say no taste. I was looking forward for this hip place. I also tried the egg sandwich, which was average.

  • Matt M.

I am not sure how many five stars I have given out in my reviews, but I know that there have not been many. And I am not sure if this place deserves it other than IT IS REALLY COOL and you need to go here. It is located behind cookie cutter strip malls in an older house that is segmented to offer privacy and relaxation. I am not a coffee drinker, but their tea selection was amazing and they have a board that describes each tea and offers samples for you to look at and you are encouraged to smell then. I tried a Mango Latte that was delightful. I also tried a PNJ, which is peanut butter, Nutella and bananas/strawberries which was sinfully good but really messy!

First time at Felicitous and I really like it! The inside is just what you would imagine from a local college coffee shop - there is plenty of artworks, couches, tables, free Wi-Fi, and t-shirts all inside a place that looks like a cute house. They hold lots of local events as well. The owner and I have actually chatted before online and when we traded cards in person she offered us complimentary beverages for our first visit =]. I first heard about Felicitous when Tasting Tampa held USF's 1st Food Truck Pod here a few weeks ago. I decided to order the java chip frappe (normally ~$4) and my friend with the taro frappe (same price) - both were great and I was happy that they didn't taste syrupy like Starbucks does. My friend recommended the Thai Tea frap and I hope to try it in the future. The inside is more student friendly with music playing and has a younger crowd, while my other local favorite Cafe Kili tends to appeal to older senior citizens (though I love them too!). Both can be good for studying depending on your needs. I saw plenty of students reviewing class content at Felicitous. The owner told me they will soon be serving paninis - so I will be sure to come back and write an update once I get to try them out!

This was my first time at Felicitous. It's my boyfriend's favorite little coffee shop here in Tampa and he was dying to take me there. It did not disappoint. We went on a Sunday around noon and had a lovely time in the quaint space, each enjoying their Boy Genius Panini (turkey, provolone, mayo, sun-dried tomatoes), and him having the Pistachio Frappe and me the Fit Frappe (Espresso, Chai, Chocolate - 20g protein, 19 vitamins and minerals, less than 2g sugar, only 130 calories). Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere was perfect for a lazy, Sunday afternoon. They have events like open mike nights and improve - both of which I can't wait to return for. Don't miss out on visiting this awesome little place!

This is one of my new favorite place in Tampa. My iced dirty chai was delicious and was delivered to me in an oversized mason jar (which was adorable). The ambiance is great with local, funky art hanging all over the walls and the ceiling. And the pandora station is on point!! I'll be hanging out here some more. Great place to settle down with a book or just hang out with friends.

Cool place to go if you're anti-chain coffee... Good drinks and fun environment. Lots of games and comfy old sofas to lounge on inside and a big patio outside for those nice nights. It is VERY hipster so lose your preppy attire before you head over if you don't want to stand out ;)

  • Lizzy V.

Literally in love with this place. Its such a cute little house and the decorations are very vintage. They really do have the BEST iced coffee I've ever had and some seriously delicious paninis! I also tried their belgian waffle.. Uh yum! Super sweet! The prices are pretty similar to Panera, but I guarantee you'll like it 10 times better. The guys that work there are very friendly and really know everything about the menu and what not. They have such a large variety of coffee flavors which I love! If you're looking for a very chill place to hang out with a few friends or somewhere to study, this is the place for you! Will be coming back many, many times :)

This place is so cute! I had visited a few times for a mid afternoon coffee, but on my most recent visit I also had lunch. This was right before Valentine's day so they had a lot of specialty drinks posted on a little board at the register. I ordered a strawberry cheesecake frappe that was to die for! It was the perfect mix of sweet and creamy. It also tasted like real cheesecake! For lunch I had one of their paninis that had cheese and sundried tomatoes. It was pretty basic, but good, and it came with veggie straws. I would give this place 5 stars, but the service was really slow. There was only one guy working, but he kept giving orders out the window. My friend and I assumed there were a lot of people eating outside, but when we left only 1 person was there. I am confused about how many people he was serving outside and why it took 30 minutes to get our food and drinks. This is a very "laid back" atmosphere though, so I think it might be part of the experience.

I love the chai flavored FitFrappe. I'll definitely have to make it back to try a panini and a specialty coffee drink. The vibe here is so friendly and chill. If I were still in my student days, I would definitely camp out here with my books!

If you're Google-mapping this place on your phone, it will lead you into a plaza with a sports bar. Felicitous is a stand-alone little house to the left of that plaza, lit up with charming Christmas lights. I took my boyfriend here for his scavenger hunt birthday. This was the final stop so we could pin his new lock onto their Love Lock tree. If you're looking for the tree, it's a tiny tree. Walk around the building to the back and it will be past the patio in this open backyard. Got to try the Floridian latte. The orange and nutmeg in my coffee was a strange concoction that worked so strangely well! I LOVE IT SO! They have other pretty inventive drinks that I would like to go back for. It seems like a great study place too. Too bad they don't have one like this closer to Pinellas area.

Small little USF area coffee shop. It's tucked away, hiding almost, from Fowler Ave. It's unique. Different. Awesome. I prefer it from the Starbucks that's just a few steps away. I enjoy the ice coffee, mostly because they use coffee ice cubes. I wish more places did this! My drinks are served in mason jars, which is pretty cool in itself. They seem to do pretty well. Inside seating is usually always taken up, but they have some seating outside as well. Small, local business and I will continue to support!

The staff here offered informative, kind, and personable service. They made me laugh with cheerful jokes and asked how the food tasted after we finished. A friendly environment with a unique menu. Gratitude.

You cant go wrong with Felicitous! Its right next to USF and the atmosphere is absolutely great, it's very hipster. When you walk inside you will find couches and chairs where you can sit, they also have some table games and books you can read. They have a little outside patio where you can sit down and do your homework or sip on your coffee. They have free WIFI but their password does change from time to time so make sure you ask for it! The staff is very friendly and laid back, their food and specially drinks are absolutely AMAZING! I tried their Vanilla bean frappe and my friend tried their Chocolate Peanut-Butter, best frappes ever! We also tried their Panini's which were also very good, I don't think you could ever have anything that is not good in Felicitous. Everything is very healthy and they also have lots of veggie food for those who are interested. Its a great place to hang out with friends, relax or do your homework. The place is super unique and delicious!

A legit indie cafe in Tampa? Oh yes indeed. Whether you want to study outside or sip your dirty chai on the mismatched wooden furniture, Felicitous is where you must go. Pros - location close to USF campus - delicious paninis! - lots of iced tea and iced coffee options - people are friendly - open until 11pm - they clearly understand college schedules Cons - can't always claim your favorite seat...and a lot of the chairs are not too comfy if you're studying for any length of time - service can be pretty slow (it depends what you order and how busy they are) - prices are a bit expensive for a student budget

Super cute, quaint little coffee shop. I'm pretty sure I have the same Pandora station. Their iced coffee is my favorite. The ice cubes are made of coffee so it never gets watered down! Soy milk option. Free wifi. Just all around great.

I went to this place with my wife and we were pretty disappointed. The caramel macchiato I ordered was more like a caramel latte and it was okay. This place is all atmosphere. The food and coffee was mediocre and the service was not much better. I would prefer Starbucks over this place. It is a novelty and the prices are too high. I would not recommend it.

Pretty satisfied. It reminded me of a better and brighter Sacred Grounds. We went here twice in one week because it's such a great study spot. Low key, nice drinks, and not a lot of people. First time, we ordered the "All You Need is Latte" and an iced "Spiced Chai Latte" with a coffee cake and a waffle. The All You Need was okay, perfect temp (about 70 degrees aka "kids temp"), but the flavor came in stages. Not sure if they use soy milk or not. The iced Spiced Chai was perfect. The liege waffle was spot on. This combo is defiantly recommended. However, second time around they were out of waffles, and moved into more cupcakes, and when we ordered two iced Spiced Chai Lattes, we got hots (extra hot). But the daily sandwiches were pretty good. PNJ was perfect. It's peanut-butter, nutella, and jelly with bananas and berries. The berries are cold, and that is what makes so delicious. I got the Morning Turk. A nicely sized portion. Overall, cozy and quiet. Great study spot with reliable Wi-Fi. The parking lot is a bit tight and the ordering system could be improved. Really if they just have a laptop, a number key pad, and excel open, that process can run10 times faster than the notebook method they're using now.

Love that anything in North Tampa can be unique. There are not too many independent anythings that are unique. They managed to get a pretty sweet location - close enough to a main road to be found, far enough not to have a view of passing cars, close enough to USF to have high rate of business. The shop's decor is really eclectic. Seating - sufficient both indoors and outdoors, spaced out enough to not make you feel crowded. Staffed with some pretty fashionable people. They have been rained Best Iced Coffee in town- ice cubes are made out of coffee as well. No complaints over my caffeine or caffeine free drinks there thus far. Big enough list of teas to get you something good, small enough not to overwhelm. They would get the full monty (five stars) if they had some better treats. Not everything is made in-house, which is a downer. They do have a nice chocolate selection though. All-in-all... pretty good place.

Avoid their iced coffee at all costs. It was probably the worst I've had in my life. Nice atmosphere and customer service. I will try their food and post a separate review.

Went again to see if I could give it more stars. One of the few independent coffee/tea places in the Tampa area. Well, they failed to impress me. The location is much better and their selection has increased a lot more. However, being Florida, I wanted a cold strawberry shake. What I got was water with something mixed in it. Slowly it separated into two layers with water at the bottom and pick stuff at the top. If I wanted to pay more than four dollars for water with pink stuff, I could have just grabbed something from the grocery store. A total let down.

Why 5 stars? Because of the creativity. --- --- --- I've tried the Mississippi Mud (my favorite) and the Milo & Oattie, but Felicitous has other crazy-awesome specialty coffee drinks like: Applebutter Express, Honeybear Latte, Floridian Latte (orange), and the All You Need is Latte (rasberry.) I need to try all of these and I need to do so quickly. I call my girlfriend Honeybear sometimes when I'm feeling super lame, so I think it would be pretty cool to drink something called the Honeybear. All of these mind-rockingly rad drinks are served to you from an old house, which adds about 10 notches out of a maximum 10 on the flair scale. Felicitous is the DJ Khaled of coffee. All it does is win.

I love this little coffee shop. I was heading to Starbucks when I missed my turn and had to drive back. That is when I came across this little gem. Absolutely adorable, great coffee, great service, and a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses. Please check it out!

Something about a coffee house in an actually house that just sits well with me. This is definitely a drive to not drive through type of place and the hard working person behind the counter may require a little time to fill orders but patience pays off here. Tucked along a side street bordering the sprawling USF Tampa campus, parking is at a premium and you may have to turn on 56th from Fowler and circle the back way to get here but once you find it, you'll know why it's worth the extra effort. There's seating indoors and outdoors, an eclectic mix of stools, chairs and sofas that must be pretty comfortable judging by the fact no one budged from their seat while I was there and free internet plus lots of reading materials, board games and just good vibes that would make it easy to hang out here for hours. Along with a really inspired selection of hot coffees, teas, frappes and more there were also some baked good and a menu of the day's featured sandwiches and such. The web site lists entertainment such as music and poetry events but you get the feeling that you could easily meet people here and make yourself at home no matter what is going on.

Legend has it a man returned home to his alma mater from the northern land of Atlanta and learned that there sprang up from the Earth* a spiffy coffee house named Felicitous, and, Lo, he was happy. This coffee house is cute. I say cute because it's tiny, and I say cute because it's. adorable. There is art on the walls, board games stacked to the window -- and, most importantly, DAMN GOOD FRAPPES. All I can speak for is the frappes, as I had the peanut butter one and the caramel one. I sat outside, and I enjoyed each in a mason jar. It was convenient that Felicitous had a little window where I could talk to the attendant without having to go back inside. The ambiance is hipster-arty-cool-hip-fresh-hip-hip, and it's in a nice location for something like this, replacing Sacred Grounds from my top list of non-Starbucks coffee houses near USF. Note: there's a 6-spot parking lot, but with the lot directly adjacent -- and the one over by Coppertop Pub/CDDbS, there's no reason for a huge lot.

On a road trip and searching for a little caffeine. We found this little gem- and we're so glad we did! We picked up a chai and tried a waffle, panini and a piece of tiramisu cake. Everything was uniquely perfect!

Very cute little place. I got a frozen java chip frap?, and it was ok. Kind of flavorless, but it was cold and ok. I was a little disappointed because I bought a coupld of the little candy bars that were by the counter, and when I opened one up, it was white in spots from being old, the way old chocolate gets. It wasn't the greatest chocolate either. :(

I love this little treasure in the USF area! I came here for a meeting and instantly fell in love with this coffee shop. What seems to be a little cute purple cottage in the concrete urban area off Fowler, this gem is a great escape for USF students (or anyone for that matter). The vibe is a hipster feel, with the kitschy mismatching dishes and different tables and chairs (an ironic and redundant idea that Tampa is catching on to). Being a coffee snob from the likes of Seattle and dwelling from downtown St. Pete, this place is a great alternative to the usual Starbucks local students might fling to on an exam night. The coffee! Amazing, well brewed coffee. Different options across the board. They do have a select amount of food, which I didn't get to, but definitely will next time. Hands down, love this place. But beware! Parking is a pain in the butt and very limited during peak hours!

I love how laid back and comfortable this place is. They occasionally have open mic nights which can be hit or miss as far as talent & entertainment is concerned, but I'm glad they provide an outlet either way. I was served by a guy named Alex who was super friendly and made me one hell of a latte. We got to talking about philosophy and engaged in a really interesting conversation regarding metaethics. That's what I love about this place: it seems like the customers and the employees always have something interesting to talk about. I've never had their food, but their drinks are nice and it sure as shit beats going to the Starbucks around the corner.

  • Drela M.

My favorite thing about this place has to be the atmosphere. The service is a bit slow, but I usually come here to study or hang out so it doesn't bother me. Also, they bring the food to you, and the food is really good! I blame this place for getting me addicted to veggie straws. Haven't had any problems with their staff, most of them are super nice and friendly.

The ratings on this place are proof that Tampons have no idea what good coffee tastes like. They asked if I wanted whip cream on my latte. Are you kidding me?! No self respecting barista serves whip cream on her drinks. The place was full of college kids sitting around with their laptops out and I can see that they would find the trendy "non-Starbucks" appeal to their liking. Come here to sit around with other kids; don't come here for a good cup of coffee.

Love, Love, Love Felicitous! I work from home and get very tired of being at sitting at my dining room table all day. Felicitous is a great place to bring the laptop, sit, and just zone out. It's very quiet and the service is always wonderful. I suggest trying an iced coffee with their peanut butter syrup (yum!) or their lattes are great on a cold day as well.

Very impressed with the coffee and sandwiches here. The coffee is Java Planet, which is a local organic coffee that makes every drink just a little bit better than you would expect. My latte was so good that I wished I would've had room for another. The sandwiches very from day to day, but today I had an asiago bagel with cream cheese, tomato and pesto on it, and my wife had a peanut butter, berry and nutella sandwich. It was also supposed to come with banana, but they were apparently out. Since they didn't know that before we ordered and paid, they went ahead and gave us the sandwich for free which was a pleasant surprise. Even without the banana, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. Mine was also very satisfying, with super fresh cherry tomatoes and a very flavorful pesto. The ambiance of the place is very enjoyable and the staff was a pleasure to interact with. The only thing that knocked a star off from their review is that they seemed to be out of a lot of things. The manager did apologize for this and explained that they've been a lot more popular than they expected since they opened up. Sounds like a good problem to have, and we will certainly be returning to try more of their menu.

I'm a fan of anything local, so I automatically liked this place. A straight up HOLE IN THE WALL in the middle of chain central aka USF area. I only had a latte but it was delicious nonetheless. What I liked most about this place is the very homey feel is has. I mean, it's in a tiny house with wood floors and you probably won't get your coffee in the same cup twice. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet study place or just something different. Wouldn't complain about the prices because Panera charges the same for overrated sandwhiches and coffee, without the TLC you get at Felicitous.

  • Music G.

Updating my previous review... As much as I love the place, I'm afraid I simply can't afford the prices, and I'm surprised the college students who go there can! $1.00 extra for an added scoop of my favorite Big Train chai is more than excessive. And $3.50 for a muffin? Yowsa. I suppose people who have money are spending it, but I for one am trying to economize. And no incentives for frequent drinkers, either. Even Starbucks has "buy 15, get 1 free", and their prices are cheaper! Love the atmosphere, hate the prices. I wish them all the best for success, it really is a neat little spot.

The old place was so much nicer. The new space is crammed so close and often the music is too loud for study or conversation. Coffee is good...to GO! They are also quite pricey!

Last night, my friend took me to this place. I am impressed with the decoration and a lot of visual arts around the small cafel. It looked like someone lived in the house before it becomes the cafe but it was really cute! It was a bunch of USF students studying and doing their homework. If you are in the mood for a pumpkin frozen drink, this place would be a GREAT choice! Their parking lot is limited but it was worth to look at it because I DO support the family owned business.

Felicitous is my favorite place to go for coffee or tea! It's the cutest place, with local artists' work on the walls and little lights outside. It's great if you want to go for some coffee and studying, but it's also fun for a date night. They have all kinds of board games you can hang out and play for a couple hours and it just feels so comfortable.

Definitely a unique coffee house with a very cool atmosphere and great staff. I highly recommend visiting Felicitous and trying one of their amazing coffee drinks or sandwiches. My favorites are the vanilla iced coffee and the strawberry fields tea.

Awesomely tasty vegetarian panini's and "rabbit plate"(vegan) which consisted of hummus, carrots, and veggie chips. Haven't tried the coffee yet... but I have a feeling we'll be back. Interior is very chill and relaxed. Kudos to the owner for not over blasting the A/C. Everywhere in Tampa I feel like I've walked into a refridgerator. This place was perfect, kept cool, but I didn't need a sweater.

The drinks and food are pretty good. Prices I would say are comparable to Starbucks (so not expensive if you plan on just buying maybe one drink, but if you want multiple drinks plus food, it'll add up). The ambiance is relaxing (good music and nice local art!) and fairly quiet.

Very nice cozy place. The guy is very knowledgeable. Has a huge selection of teas and coffee. Very nice shaded area outside and comfortable couches inside. This would be a great place to go and study or do homework. Much better than Starbucks. Prices are about the same as Starbucks.

Very neat little purple-and-green (this seems to be the trend in Florida coffee/tea houses as of late) structure that is off in its own little world just a 90 degree angle away from the hellish Fowler Ave. And I do mean its own little world in the ambiance sense, as well as in terms of service - all of the staff was very friendly and easy to converse with. No uppity my-tea-is-from-the-top-of-a-higher-mountain-than-yours attitudes here! My tea was served in one of those tea pot and tea cup combo Zords (Power Ranger reference, good for you!) where you take the pot off the top and pour the tea into the surprise cup underneath. I get a kick out of that. Friend's hot chocolate was served in a Scooby Doo mug, and all of the food was served on unique plates. Did you know you get one of their free 75c-range baked goods with a lunch order? Cool beans. They have some vegan wares, as well as Udi's gluten-free bagels, yippee skippee! Fair prices, cute place, tons of different chairs to try out. Gotta love mix-and-match.

Very intimate atmosphere. Guy behind the counter does not look like a guy who would be recommending teas, but he knows his stuff. Had an amazing cup of some crazy tea that I can't remember the name of, but it had more caffeine than coffee without that jittery feeling. Tucked away off the main road its very pleasant sitting outside, and inside they have nice chairs and couches. I saw a huge shelf full of board games that I was salivating over. Will definitely do my best to be a regular here.

I search for unique places to spend my time rather than going with the norm! Found Felicitous from a FB friend and decided to check it out. I loved it from the minute I walked into the front door looked up at the ceiling! Most amazing way I have ever seen a Coffee House ceiling done! It's a must see! Then I met the owner Rani, with a huge welcoming smile as she explained the tons of different teas to chose from with cool names like Strawberry Fields. If I was a USF student, this is where I would study every night. It's now my go-to place for Green Tea Frappes on Sunday mornings!

This is a cool little independent coffee shop that -- ironically, yet somehow perfectly -- is in a converted house behind a strip mall with a Starbucks. It's the real deal for coffee shop ambiance, and it's a great place to hang out, read or work on the computer. It's near the University of South Florida, so there are a lots of young, hip kids.

Just visited Felicitous's new location near USF. It was the perfect place to stop while out on an afternoon bike ride in the university area. I had the red rock tea on ice with a splash of milk at the suggestion of the helpful barista, which was excellent with a snickerdoodle cookie. The atmosphere is nice and laid back, the perfect place to take a moment and chill. I know I'll be riding my bike by more often.

As a musician who frequents numerous venues for performance, Felicitous Cafe is my favorite. It has the 'X' Factor. I am pretty much a coffee drinker with an occasional tea. I highly recommend the cupcakes, if you have a 'sweet-tooth'. Regarding the what I call the 'X' Factor, the Cafe has a quality that is beyond just being a business. The owner and the staff care about what they do and want you have a positive experience. Highly Recommended!! ENJOY!!

So my best friend brought me here to study and I fell in love with the place. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was sunny; it felt like I was at someones house having coffee as opposed to a coffee shop. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. I ordered an iced coffee for the first time, tasted it and was shocked by how bitter it was and I asked the cashier to sweeten it and I was directed to a little table with sugar on it. I added the sugar but of course because it's cold, the sugar wasn't dissolving and I just didn't enjoy it. I went back to the cashier and asked if I could switch to an iced latte and pay the difference, he told me not to worry about it and he'd bring me a new drink right away. I gave the drink to a woman behind the counter (the owner) and asked her to throw it out for me since he's making a new drink (I didn't want to throw a full drink in the garbage). She took it and I went to sit and wait for my drink. A little bit later I was told I had to pay the difference, which I had no problem with as I'd asked about that before. When i went to the counter the owner was standing there and charging me full price for the iced latte rather than the difference. When I asked her about it, she flipped. She started going on about how it's not her responsibility to make me a new drink because I ordered the wrong drink and I didn't like it. I mentioned that I wouldn't have thrown out my drink if I knew before that she wasn't going to replace it and she basically kept saying that that was my fault. She asked why I didn't like the drink and I told her it was too bitter for my tastes and she said that I shouldn't have picked that syrup, I should've put more sugar in it, etc. Eventually (after a few minutes of going back and forth with her and dealing with her horrible attitude), she grudgingly decided that she would remake the drink I ordered (the iced coffee I told her I didn't want) with more sugar. I didn't feel like arguing further, so I said fine I'll take it. I got the drink and I walked out the door. I tasted it again, realized she barely sweetened even though I told her I wanted it sweet and as a result it ended up in the garbage. The incredibly poor customer service ensures that I will never spend money here again. The situation could've been handled so much better. If she simply said that she was sorry for the mix-up, i would have let it go. But blaming your customer because you made a poor drink and because your cashier made an offer he couldn't back up is just unacceptable. Especially for a new business. If you want to try somewhere with great tea and AMAZING customer service, check out Kaleisia Tea Lounge instead.

This place is awesome! I have been looking for a great coffee shop since I moved here over 2 years ago and finally I stumble upon Felicitous!! The staff is extremely friendly and after 2 weeks already knows me by name. The place feels like a New York City Coffee Shop, very intimate and full of character. They have some great Teas, Coffees, and even sandwiches. So if you are self employed like me and need a change of environment, its a great place to camp out!

Well, I went to Felicitous when it was off of Nebraska. I'm glad they moved. That place was bigger than this one, but the vibe and location is 10 times better! Good things do come in small packages! My favorite parts besides the Java Chip Frap (my usual order) are the attention to details. I like that they are Eco-Friendly, the quality matches the price, outdoor seating is so open but still has privacy; doesn't feel like I'm in Tampa whenever I sit outside. I also like that I see something new every time I go, like the cupcakes...YUM!!And the Artwork! It changes every month and that's pretty cool. Staff is pretty nice; one of them even remembered what I ordered before when I went the second time around. My daughter likes paying the board games. I like that the theme doesn't just focus on college students but on anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee and uniquely blended tea! The crowd is vibrant and pleasant. I like the displays on the ceiling, from knitting club to USF panels. I love the decorations and that their sign against the tree outside is an actual door. Very creative! Definitely worth a visit!
