There are some good employees here but the bad outweighs the good. This place is so hit and miss that you never know if you're going to get good service that day or not. 85% of the employees are rude and jip you on food. I shouldn't have to ask for more, just put the proper amount! It's not difficult. They're ALWAYS out of something.. Whether it's guac, peppers/onions, if it's not one thing it's another. The westshore & north Dale mabry locations are 20% better. I'm not brave enough to try Qudoba but Ill probably venture to chik fil a or westshore chipotle

After visiting this Chipotle location for the past month, I have been disappointed EACH AND EVERY TIME. There's no way every time I visit the Gandy chipotle is out of food. First it was guac, chicken, salad dressing, and now chips. If the west shore and international plaza can keep up with their inventory and they see double the amount of traffic, there's no excuse. Listen, I like chipotle as much as the rest of us foodies. I like it so much I've even left the Gandy location and went to west shore because I really enjoy the food. I implore management to GET IT TOGETHER. This location has so much potential and a great location. Listen to the reviews.

I've been a very loyal Chipotle customer in the Tampa Bay Area frequenting the Westshore Blvd. and Howard Ave locations. I was so excited when the Gandy location opened by my house. I've been to this Chipotle 5-10 times since opening and this location is by far the worst I've ever been to. I really hope management sees this and steps in to give this team some training. There are some pleasant staffers but for the most part their young, immature, and talk amongst themselves. Did it become a crime to talk to your customers?.... The staff at the Westshore location is great! Go visit them and take some notes. Secondly, every time I've been there they are out of something. Salad dressing, guacamole, lettuce..... I get it from time to time but every time? I go to this location out of extreme desperation for something quick and it's a disappointment every time. Such a shame because overall I really love this brand.

The workers are Le Tired! I placed a phone order at 4 to be picked up at 5:30. At 5:25, there I was...waiting for my order. But, I got to see not one, not two, but three employees place and receive orders before they began working on mine. No...wait...they started working on the two customers that came in. THEN they started working on mine. No...wait...the cashier just had to see his co-worker's pictures on his phone before he checked on my order. (Squeal with delight!) I got to watch a worker sullenly hurl ingredients into the bowl (because they ran out of trays for kid's tacos), then sullenly drop...drop...each meal into the bag. The cashier looked at me, then looked around, and asked, "Is this everything in the order?" I wanted to answer, "Why, no! Throw in a couple of twenties!" I decided instead to remind him of all the drinks I ordered. Oh, Chipotle. I realize it's a franchise. What a great location! Maybe the manager was the one tossing the rice with her bare hands? Who knows?! Qdoba is across the street. Might have to be my go-to for...Taco Tuesdays!!! Management...Corporate...are you listening?!?!

As a first timer to Chipotle I was lost as how to order. So I let my fiancé go ahead of me. I ordered a burrito bowl with steak, white line cilantro rice, black beans, peppers mild & sour cream. I'm surprised at how good it tasted! My first thoughts were the steak would be tough and dry. So not the case! It was tender and juicy! Surprised ! Te lime cilantro rice was so amazing. The flavor came through perfectly, all in all I enjoyed my meal. I could only eat half, so I had the rest for dinner. I would give it another go around.

I like Chipotle in general, but this place give skimpier portions, and the food is on the cold side. I had the carnitas, and it was tough and in huge chunks that were hard to break apart. Usually carnitas are tender and pretty shredded, thus perfect for burrito bowls.

I love Chipotle, but the restaurant on West Gandy is just sub-par on service. I have been short-served several times. The bins are always awaiting somerthing to get cooked that stalls the line. Finally tonight I spoke up when the server dash a half spoon of rice and a half spoon of beans because the bin was empty. She then pushed my bowl to the toppings area before I could ask for grilled peppers. Several other people also protested about similar treatment. I do not have this issue at Westshore and North Dale Mabry locations. The staff at the Gandy location are close to rude. I do not see this location lasting since word is spreading about the poor service and "short-serving". Several customers and I will not eat there again. Not worth the drama when Chick-a-fil is 100ft away and the staff is actually grateful you are in their restaurant.

This Chipotle had the opportunity to be something great. Having been coming here for a couple of months, it has appeared to fall into a state of disarray. The staff is often slow or appears unmotivated when assisting customers leading to an untimely transaction (10-20 minutes in my experiences). More times than not, the portion sizes are stingy and the chips are commonly stale. Their current staff seems unable to handle a high stress environment and appears to just shut down, slowing down any possibility of improvement. I do hope that this Chipotle is seen by a region manager shortly, as it's located in a prime location to become extraordinarily successful. Perhaps management needs a reboot. I think it's bad when people are willingly driving an extra 5 miles to go to another Chipotle location. Or God forbid they go across the street to Qdoba, and surely we can't have that.

It's not crowded like the other chipotles, there's never a line, but I see why. They tried to short serve me today. I ordered a veggie bowl and I could still see the bottom of the bowl. I complained and they put more rice and beans but really I shouldn't have to ask, they should just put enough to begin with.

If you are looking for a place to get a good burrito that will fill you up might as well go across the street to Qdoba's. This chipotle is like the chipotle's where people trying to lose weight go to. They give small portions of rice, protein, and sides. It is like their pay is based on how much ingredients they save in each burrito. Every time I get hungry I always see Chipotle headed home and go in with a smile on my face, but leave disappointed and still hungry. Good thing Chik-fil-A is in the same parking lot.

The other raters have it right. They are very skimpy with the ingredients. I haven't had an issue with the employees and the location is great, but I expect more from Chipotle. I expect a heaping portion of food in a burrito bowl or a burrito that is about ready to burst. You won't get that in this location unless you ask the employees multiple times to keep adding more (and who wants to look like a glutton?). Dare I say you would be better off going across the street to Q'Doba.

This is hands down the worst Chipotle I've ever been to... by far. I've visited 3 times and I actually think they may have gotten worse. After my first visit, I wrote to Chipotle HQ about it, recommending a visit to perhaps provide remedial training to the managers and employees. I have been a patron at Chipotle restaurants all over the US and I think I have a reasonable sense of expectations: clean areas, efficient employees, fresh and available ingredients. They fail on all three counts. Our portions were tiny. The employees were slow, lazy, and/or annoyed. The checkout counter was filthy. They were out of sour cream (?) and the drink fridge was half empty. This Chipotle is more Taco Bell than Taqueria. I'll just drive the extra 10-15 mins to a different place.

I love chipotle! I mean I LOVE chipotle but this certain one cannot seem to get it together. From skimping on the burritos (scraping the bottom of the meat container and not adding more meat to the burrito), to constant mistakes on my orders. This is a below average chipotle.

I like the atmosphere and employees. The portions were more than enough. I had the hard tacos. They did not skimp on the ingredients. In fact I asked for more corn and she obliged with no up charge. All that said there some work to be done in the flavor dept. Let's get out the old fashioned taco seasoning mix sold at the supermarket. Will return if I'm starving and in a pinch for cash. Otherwise I am going to the taco joint at the intersection of MacDill and cypress.

This place is so stingy on their ingredients it's unbelievable. Waste of money. Stupid people eat here.

Terrible service, the gentleman that took my order acted annoyed that I ordered a salad & he had to get more lettuce from the back. In addition the portions are not standard to any Chipotle I've been to, they hardly gave me any meat & when I asked for more they threw a huge piece of fat on top. The guy behind me had to ask for more cheese. Really? Tighten it up people, you're down the street from where I live but I'll drive twice as far to go to a less convenient location with better service & portions.

I like Chipotle, but this one is terrible. I got the skimpiest burrito bowl ever! My bowl was simple- rice, beans, barbacoa, veggies, lettuce, corn salsa and guacamole. I got half a spoonful of rice, a spoon of beans, at most three or for slices of left over veggies ( I asked the guy to get more and he rolled his eyes and said they are prepping more but still moved my bowl down the line not bothering to ask if I wanted to wait for fresh ones), normal serving of barbacoa, a half a spoon of corn salsa ( I asked him to add more since my bowl looked pretty empty and he gave me that"look"- like are you kidding, and proceeded to add four kernels of corn- yes 4, I counted!). I wanted guacamole and of course they were out. Then he topped it with a couple shreds of lettuce. Now as I was checking out a patron came to ask if he could get a side of lettuce because his bowl had like "three shreds". Yeah- terrible customer service and skimping out on topping makes it worth driving to Soho Chipotle's. Not coming back to this Chipotle.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
