Hard to believe this resto is smack in the middle of a department store...don't let that fool you. The food is very good and they also have a pretty nice wine and cocktail list. Anytime I can be trying on shoes one minute and literally have a tasty cocktail in hand two minutes later is ok in my book! I regularly get the lime shrimp cilantro salad and it's always fresh and very tasty. They are always accommodating in making special dishes for my mom and she enjoys them all. Service can be better...it's usually pretty slow, but that just gives me more time to enjoy those cocktails!

Simple, casual, hidden, and friendly. Mark H. knows I love me some department store dining circa Burdines at the Westshore Mall way back in the day, so he surprised me on my birthday. I liked the stone pizza oven, the laid back bar, and service was friendly all the way from the clothing racks, to the waiters. There were some dishes being served that were not on the menu, but I did see a lot of shrimp salads around, so I went with it. Hot greasy nest of tortilla strips set aside, the flavors were fresh, and the shrimp meaty. It was all doused in delicious cilantro lime dressing so beware waistline watchers! Mark got a sammich with thick cuts of chicken inside, and the hummus which was paired with toasted pita points fresh from that stone over I told you about earlier. What a win! Overpriced they say? Sure, cocktails were as ambitiously priced as the hottest Hyde Park bar on any Friday night, but they were as well done, even if you won't see or be seen. Which for me, is just another plus!

A bustling bistro inside Nordstroms. Has table seating and a small bar area with TV's. I shared the blue cheese & pear salad and prime rib French dip sandwich. The kalamata olive aioli that comes with fries is addicting. It is purple and a taste sensation I have never experienced. Wow! They offer soups, salads, sandwiches and entree specialties. You can have just a snack or full meal. The have a good wine selection and full bar with specialty martinis.

This place is my absolute favorite for their salads! Oh so delicious. I always eat here and have great service but the food it AMAZING! It reminds me of eating healthy but lets be honest...the fries are so deathly good which make you MUST order them every time I go in to eat. So yes, I order the fries, a salad (whichever I feeling like having that day) and then a desert at the end...I am at a MILLION calories now but wait....IT was all worth it. hehe Yummy! Now i have to go work out harder at the gym bc of those amazing fries.

I love everything about Bazille. The atmosphere is great, their menu is full of delicious dishes, their wine list could use a few changes but still pretty good and their staff is always on point. Only thing is they are open during department store hours.

I live in NYC and travel to Tampa for work and this is by far my fav place in Tampa. The food is top notch and the service cannot be beat. My fav items are as follows: 1. Tuna Poke 2. French Onion soup sans crouton 3. Crab Bisque 4. Steak Frites (The garlic butter is a game changer) Also it's never that loud inside so it's perfect to have a nice quick meal and relax at the same time.

Surprisingly good. I had a salmon Niçoise salad which was great and husband had the Asian chicken salad. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Ignore the fact that this place is at the mall and inside a department store. This is one of Tampa Bay's BEST restaurants. Excellent salads, sandwiches and fries that will WOW you. Just make sure you go off-peak or make a reservation.

I was a little hesitant to try a restaurant in a department store for a nice meal out (even though it's Nordstroms), but I was not disappointed at all. The food was fresh, hot, and served promptly. The service was excellent and the menu offered a wide variety of foods you can't find at most restaurants. I would definitely go back here again.

Bazille is serving up some delicious eats while staying hidden inside a department store (Nordstrom International Plaza). The ambiance is suitable for a dinner or lunch with coworkers or a date - casual and sophisticated. They have an open layout where the kitchen staff can be seek working on their creations. The menu offers variety of Soups, Salad, Appetizer, Pizza and Sandwiches. Also offers a wide array of cocktails and beer. This is a great place, tucked away, albeit a bit noisy, perfect for people watching or casual dining. The food quality is commendable - clearly evident Bazille takes care and pride in their ingredients as well as thoughtful preparation and visually pleasing presentation. The Hummus served with Rosemary Flatbread is an excellent starter, followed by a Cilantro Lime Shrimp salad with medium sized seared shrimp and a balanced blend of sweet tangy dressing atop organic baby greens. For main course, Roast Chicken Pommes Frites hit the spot with crisp boneless half chicken served with Bazille fries. For seafood lovers, the seasonal Seafood Thai coconut-curry dish bring thai flare to Mussels, chunks of grilled salmon, Scallops & grilled shrimp. Wrap up with a Creme Brulee with Lemond Curd and Fresh Berries is a perfect closure to Bazille experience.

As most guys, I had no clue about this place. But thanks to my girlfriend, I have discovered a hidden gem tucked inside the Nordstroms store (2nd Floor) at International Mall. And now my taste buds and stomach thank you. We have tried all of their sandwiches and they are all excellent. Extremely tasty, unique, plentiful, fair-priced,...and just darn right good. From the French Dip Sandwich with "tender" prime rib and lots of sharp white cheddar cheese (good call on the cheese here) to the Croque Madame (never seen a croque sandwich anywhere in the Tampa Bay area) to the Honey Chipotle...and the rest. Oh, so good. Another unique and very tasty item is their french fries that comes with kalamata olive aioli. Now I have seen garlic, parmesan fries and sweet potatoe fries, but nothing like this - yum. For the amount of space given for the restaurant, the ambience and set up is pretty cool. Kind of has an airport lounge / restaurant feel. There is a place to sit next to the prep / pizza station that's a good experience. There is a small bar with a tv (mostly sports being aired) that girls can drop their man at (if needed). Speaking of the bar - the drinks at Bazille are excellent. A not too long-not too short list of unique and classy drinks. Very impressive and very well-put together with the large cube ice and the correct glass for the right drink. Oh, and they taste fantastic. Although it's hard to choose; my favorite is The Bohemian Sidecar I love this place and trust me, you will too. I want to spread the word but at the same time keep it a secret because...?

I read with interest the glowing reviews of Bazille, and on a recent holiday shopping trip with the Mrs decided to see what all the hype was about. The restaurant was good, but did not exceed expectations. Everything is basically what you would expect for a restaurant in a nicer department store. The atmosphere was energetic on the night we were there and the restaurant was full. Even so, service was good, no complaints. The food was ok, but nothing really memorable. I had a bowl of french onion soup and the flat iron steak. Both were fine but I've had (significantly) better of everything elsewhere. Wife had salmon, she felt the same way. I would take the glowing reviews with a grain of salt. If you are in the mall it is a reasonable choice for a mid-tier restaurant but it probably isn't worth going out of your way to try.

Have I been hiding under a rock? I had zero clue Nordstroms had such a fantastic restaurant in their department store. This place takes me back... ok way back my fellow Tampanians to when Maas Brothers had a wonderful restaurant. Does anyone else remember it??! I used to go as a little girl with my mom. Anyways - what a wonderful surprise. 9 people - all family meeting up for a post Christmas luncheon to catch up and eat some lunch. I made a reservation the evening before since I read how packed they get. I also figured a party of 9 would take a long time. I arrive and am promptly seated. I order a fruit infused iced tea. It was a muddled blackberry tea with lots of fresh fruit and extremely refreshing. We start off with soups for a few of us. For lunch I ordered a great salad - pear and blue cheese and with an add on of scallops. I was shocked at how good the scallops were. The previous night I was at Epicureans Elevage and had scallops there as well. Sadly - Bazille blew them away! They had to have been some of the best ever. I would definitely go back and want to try more items. Every other item that arrived on the table looked really good. A mix of pasta, salads, a pizza and burders. Another good option after power shopping!

Had a great time here and enjoyed everything it. I would not say it is the best restaurant but it did have great food and great service. Will definitely be coming back.

I have tried their soups, pasta, pizza, and so far, have not had anything that tastes bad. The price is a bit on the high end but I personally think it's totally worth it! Their seasoning is very unique, I love their seasoned fries with Kalamata Olive. The location is perfect too, right on the second floor inside Nordstrom, making it the perfect break spot after a long day of walking/shopping. They do get pretty busy during lunch time so try to avoid the lunch hours if you don't want to wait. This has been my favorite place to dine in when shopping at the international plaza :) the 4 star is for the pricey menu...but I still keep going back for the great food!

I didn't know this place existed. My neighbor, friend, sorority sister (all same person) told me about this place when we wanted to go to lunch. We work close by so we met up at 11:30 and got a table rather quickly. If you're coming for lunch during the week, you must come early. If you come at noon, expect to wait. This was much like a regular restaurant. I read that before the renovations it was different so expect a waiter and all that jazz. My friend had the dungeness crab and shrimp brioche which she was truly impressed with. I had the roasted chicken and goat cheese panini. Goat cheese? Sign me up! It was a really great sandwich. The real surprise was the olive aioli that came with it. Talk about tasty! Yes, it's purple and it seems odd but it's creamy and salty. Perfect with the shoestring fries. It's Nordstrom so anticipate pretentious patrons. They can't help it. This is the most upscale Tampa has to offer at present and we should be "grateful". The price accompanies that kind of atmosphere. Don't expect value. Remember, it's Nordstrom. In spite of that, I hope to return to have a cocktail or two... after work of course.

Beautiful renovation of the old Cafe Bistro at Nordstrom. The place looks great, spacious, nicely detailed & smells great! A new bar with handmade specialty cocktails. Deeper wine menu, expanded food options and yet they kept the favorites like the Crab Bisque. A great dining option at International Mall

Great food. Clean. Friendly staff. Perfect stop instead of the food court and outside restaurants when shopping the international plaza in Tampa.

Looks great... but is overpriced. rather have the food and prices from the old nordstoms cafe. Seems like they went for more of the lounge feel but I'm not sure how many people want to lounge in nordstroms. (yes its on the second floor of nrodstroms at I mall). Service was on point

For the past two years, Nordstrom Bistro at International Plaza Mall has been one of my favorite go to lunch spots. Wayne, one of my first friends in Tampa introduced me to this spot and anytime we wanted to do lunch at International Plaza Mall, he suggested the Bistro. Fast forward and Nordstrom Bistro has been remodeled and renamed to Bazille. Thankfully for the Bistro fans, Bazille kept a few signature items on their menu while adding some new additions. They also offer an extended craft cocktail menu (YAY). Post remodel and rebranding, I was very happy to learn that the Warm Asian Glazed Chicken Salad was left on the menu. My friend Katie and I frequent Bazille and we both love this salad. It consists of Szechuan glazed chicken breast, julienne vegetables, crisp wontons, cilantro, mandarin oranges, toasted almonds and ginger sesame dressing. It is one of my favorite salads ever. One of my new favorite starters has to be Caprese Bruschetta, toasted rustic bread, seasonal tomatoes, burrata cheese, spicy basil vinaigrette, fleur de sel, balsamic reduction. I adore anything with burrata cheese. This bruschetta made me reflect on the many times I have turned my nose up to tomatoes over the years. I am glad I have decided to sorta like them :) If you like pizza, you MUST try the Rustic Vegetable & Three Cheese Pizza. You cannot go wrong with this combo: roasted artichokes, sautéed organic baby spinach, wild mushrooms, oven-roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, aged provolone and parmesan cheeses, fresh basil. This is an insanely good pizza, plus the veggies make you feel less guilty! On my last visit, I ventured out and tried the Roasted Chicken and Goat Cheese Panini. This amazing sandwich consist of natural roast chicken, goat cheese spread, aged provolone cheese, oven-roasted tomatoes, organic arugula, dijon balsamic vinaigrette and lemon chive aïoli on grilled rustic bread. Do you see the purple sauce in between the sandwich and french fries? That would be kalamata olive aïoli!! AMAZING. Back in the day before the remodel, I always got a nice glass of chardonnay or pinot grigio with lunch. Now there are more options. While not on the menu, Bazille has my lover, Moscow Mule. Copper mug and all. If you know me personally, you are aware of my love affair for this cocktail and it did not disappoint. The ginger beer was the correct amount of spice to go along with the vodka and lime concoction. I also loved what I believe is to be called the Rent Check cocktail. Unfortunately, Bazille does not have their cocktail menu online. Going off of memory, a silver tequilla with muddled watermelon and possibly some spice? All I know is that it was quickly consumed with high praises. Bazille is a great place to go have lunch or dinner while shopping at International Plaza. Luckily for us, Bazille is now taking reservations on Open Table - much better than waiting in line like it used to be. I strongly encourage reservations for those looking to dine here.

Phenomenal service and food. I should end the review there, but then you wouldn't know what I ate. You wouldn't know that one of the most delicious sandwiches at International Plaza is not at TooJay's, Earl of Sandwich, Subway or Charley's Grilled Subs. It is in fact tucked away inside of the Nordstrom's department store on the second floor in a quaint little eatery called Bazille. What is the sandwich, you ask? It is the BISTRO CLUB and features sliced chicken breast, baby greens, bacon, tomatoes, avocado, French green beans, and garlic aioli served on some kind of rustic bread. It is absolutely worth contemplating murder for. On the side, they offer some shoestring fries, which usually piss me off due to their lack of girth. However, these are served up with not ketchup, but some sort of house made condiment fabricated with mayo, olives and possibly cilantro? Who knows? But I definitely got a few to go and I've been spreading it on everything except the shaving rash on my neck. You like hummus? So do I, and theirs might be the best. This isn't a joke, people. 20 feet away from some of the most fabulous and overly-priced dresses in town stands a kitchen that is churning out some of the best hummus in the area. You like cocktails? So do I, and the cucumber drink here is light, refreshing and manly-looking enough for me to pull off while eating my girly thin fries and super organic chicken bistro club. The question here is how in the hell did I only find out about this clandestine operation a year ago?

We love eating here when at the mall. It's located inside Nordstrom. You can make an open table reservation and get seated almost immediately. The servers are attentive and friendly. You can even use a Nordstrom card or gift card at the restuarant. The food variety is good as well. If you can't decide you are able to get half a sandwich and a salad combo. They have a full bar too! Some favs from my friends and I: The French onion soup The French fries with olive aioli The salads are great The club bistro sandwich with or without meat

Love this place! The wait staff is sweet and the food hits the spot every time. It's our go to spot -- fresh comfort food. The chicken and pome frites are always good! If you ever have a bad day, the bread pudding will be like Calgon (..."take me away!!!)

I love trying things that taste different. Literally every single thing on this menu is good-- and that's hard for restaurants to accomplish. Take a break from shopping and enjoy a meal that will entice your tastebuds.

My husband and I decided to try Bazille last night as I was too lazy to cook and it was recommended by my sister a few weeks back. I wanted something nearby and seeing we live across from International Mall we decided to give it a try. It's located on the second floor of Nordstrom Rack. I got a blackberry iced tea which was refreshing and had pieces of fresh blackberry in it. For starters we ordered the calamari. We loved the sauce but i wasn't a fan of the batter on the calamari. It wasn't crispy and fell off mostly. For dinner, my husband ordered the Honey Chipotle Chicken sandwich which her really enjoyed. I ordered the Chicken and Goat Cheese Paninin which was amazing. The bread was perfectly seared and crispy ... it was basically an upgraded grilled cheese sandwich. Both sandwiches came with fries and kalamata aioli. Let me tell my husband and I did not leave a single drop of aioli. The server we had provided us with great service as well.

Who knew one of the best steaks I'd ever have would be in a department store restaurant. I was quite turned off at the idea of eating there, but I'm happy I overcame that; absolutely perfect meal. They have Moscow Mules, and the serve them proper in a copper mug. It was prepared as good as I could make it. Other reviews on the purple aioli are true to their review; I want to figure out how to make it at home. Their steak was cooked exactly like I wanted, and the garlic butter it came with was fantastic. I will absolutely come back.

I have always loved Nordstrom. The food is always consistent and now that they are Bazille and have a bar, i'm a regular! The drinks are also consistent - try the Smoky drink...I forget the exact name, but it's the only one with smoked salt on the rim -- excellent! I do wish they would change up the menu. When you eat here alot, it get a bit old. And then they take away the favorites, like asian salad pizza, or pots de creme. When the new menus came out a few months ago I was so excited to look, only to see exactly the same things with the exception of the calorie count on everything...all because of a new CALIFORNIA law that carried over into giving ME indigestion before I even get food in front of me! ;-P People KNOW what's good or bad for them...they don't need the government ruining my meal. Next thing you know they're going to stop serving alcohol, or ice cream...YIKES! ANARCHY! So, now, since I know the menu hasn't changed and I know what's on it...this has actually worked in my favor, because I don't NEED a menu anymore. I just order what I like and forget about the California politicians! haha

The greatest restaurant ever to be placed in a department store! The green beans and roasted chicken-Brie sandwich are fantastic They have a decent selection of craft beer including Bells Two Hearted Ale

Very good brick oven pizzas. Tasty salads.and sandwiches. What's not to like? Other than the $12 glasses of wine. But only a complete crazy person orders a $12 glass of wine. You can get 3 bottles of the good stuff at Trader Joes for that..

Service and Food were both phenomenal! We had Ahi tuna and Calamari as an appetizer, Shrimp with Risotto and Sirloin steak, Cream Brûlée for dessert! My BF and I were very impressed about everything. Great experience. Definitely coming back!!!

Came back for a weekday lunch and the experience was much better. The Asian chicken salad was delicious and our server was attentive. I think his name was Derek...I feel terrible because I somehow tipped half what I normally would...guess my math is bad on Mondays. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back!

Seriously I'm not much of a sandwich and fries type of girl but that's what I ordered and I'm glad I did. I had the chicken and goat cheese panini which was pretty amazing and whatever dipping sauce that comes with it was sooo good. It was a black olive dip. Weird but like I said sooooo good. Service was really great and I will definitely be coming back.

I love this place. It is one of the best kept secrets of Nordstroms. It's amazing how many people don't know it's there. The raspberry white chocolate bread pudding is one of the best things I've eaten in my life. Even if you don't like raspberry or white chocolate I think you will like this.

What a better place to revitalize and recharge the batteries after a day of frenetic shopping. This little oasis of refinement is the reward for battling crowds. The staff is invariably friendly, service is spot on, food is tasty, and the prices are not unreasonable. I love their ahi tuna poke which is perfectly prepared with a marinade that is not too salty. The cilantro lime shrimp salad features lovely grilled shrimp. My daughter enjoyed the margherita pizza. This place is the highlight of my shopping trips to International.

Thank you to the Bazille for a providing a most joyous experience on Memorial Day...to a U.S. veteran and his family. I would like to thank the management and staff for a delicious meal. The Crab Macaroni & Cheese along with the French Steak Dip were scrumptious. Our waiter ensured that we had everything needed for our meal.

Samantha at the bar needs an attitude check. Does she smile at all or is stuck up snooty the new tip maker these days? Other than that, I like how the chef's cook in front of you and I like that they wear gloves as well.

My best 1st experience at a restaurant EVER! The food was superb, and came in second only to the unparalleled service. We sat next to the exposed/open kitchen and was spoken to by the cooks. Head chef Jesse and our waiter Gary created such a welcoming atmosphere and made us visitors feel right at home. Andre, the manager came over twice to assure our dining experience was pleasant. Jesse ran a tight kitchen, held a wonderful conversation, and made amazing food... Multi-tasking master! He even came out from the kitchen to take a picture with us and wish us goodbye. Needless to say, I highly recommend everyone dine here!

I recently found this treasure! I absolutely love Bazille! The restaurant is a bit small, therefore, I suggest starting with a reservation or you may end up waiting. The bar seats are first come, first serve. We have sat at the kitchen bar and I really enjoyed watching the chefs put together the entrees. Watching the dishes come out of the kitchen gave me many ideas as to what to order next time. While the few things I've had on the menu are wonderful, my absolute favorite are the french fries with the kalamata olive aioli dipping sauce...of course you must love kalamata olive to enjoy it. The prices are reasonable and the service has be great both times that I've been. I truly recommend making a reservation while you're out shopping and try this place!

7/18/24 DOV This is meant to be Nordstrom's Grill, hope it is right spot for review. We eat here on a regular basis. I usually get the Pear and Blue Cheese Salad but varied this time. It is always delicious. Their French Onion Soup is also Devine. We arrived about 5:45 and were seated right away. We both ordered the soup special - potato Leek. We were somewhat disappointed in the flavor of it. Hubby ordered the Bistro Steak and fries which were all perfectly prepared and very good. I ordered two sides: the Brussels Sprouts and Fries. Both were very good. We had too many fries between us, I could have not ordered mine, but the amount you get each time varies on who prepares the plates, so you never know. The Kalamata olive aioli is great. Also try their White Chocolate Bread Pudding...oh yummy. Did not get it this time but have too many times in the past, lol.

We have been regular patrons of Nordstom Cafe Bistro for years and were excited to experience its recent renovations and reopening as Bazille. Unfortunately, we were disappointed, as many of the changes negatively impacted our overall experience. First, we were disappointed to learn that customers no longer order upon arrival, as we were seated first and forced to wait to for an (inordinately slow) wait staff to arrive. One of Cafe Bistro's main attributes was its efficiency, in that you could easily come in, order great food and get back to shopping or work if you were on lunch hour. Changing to a true restaurant style is not in keeping with the venue, and I think that many long-term Nordstrom's customers will be put off by the slowness of the experience. Early on a Thursday night, it took my family over an hour and 45 minutes to complete a meal. Second, the prices are higher and the portions are smaller. Remember the generous serving of the world's best bread pudding? Well, it's now half the size. The food is still good, but it was incredibly salty. I even got up once to refill my own glass of water, as the waiter promised to return with more.... but didn't. I'm so disappointed and can only hope that they revert styles and step up the service. It was our go-to place, and now it will be low on the list.

I was really excited to try this place since Nordstrom Cafe was one of my favorite lunch spots, and Nordstrom is probably my favorite brand, period. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. The star-quality training Nordstrom typically gives their employees wasn't apparent. Service was okay, but I'm not used to Nordstrom service being "okay." Almost every experience I have with their brand is "Wow, you're not going to believe how amazing this was." It didn't stand out but there was nothing severely wrong with it. I ordered the Roasted Chicken. French fries were great. The roasted chicken had way too much rosemary for my liking. And way too much oil and butter (I didn't even know that was possible!) The bar looks like a fun place to sit. Will try that next time. I'll be back to give it another go, but my first experience wasn't something to write home about.

This place is my favorite lunch place on the planet. I love the Nordstrom store and the classy comfortable vibe is carried through to the restaurant. The menu has something for everyone, including the gluten free freaks. My favorite dish is the crab Louis salad and the lobster mac and cheese. They make a delicious mojito and decedent creme brule. Some people say this place is expensive, but I consider it moderately priced. Try not to go during lunch time during the week because service will be really slow and it will take a while to make it back to work.

So odd that a restaurant inside a department store would be so fantastic, but it always delivers consistently great food, service, and cocktails. One thing Tampa lacks is a restaurant that could be referred to as a Bistro, and this is the closest we are ever going to get. The Crab Bisque is yummy and creamy without having that faux, gelatinous, consistency. The Aviator cocktail is divine. And you must get their salmon nicoise; it's a consistent, fresh favorite of mine.

Have been here a few times, whenever the wife drags me to Nordstrom's to go shopping, she makes sure we go here. Mostly because they do have tasty food, I like their flatbreads and tuna dishes are pretty good. She knows how cranky I get when I'm in the mall too long and we spend most of our time in Nordstrom's. I think she really brings me here so I can a couple of beers, their cocktails are pretty good to. Then she knows I will calm down and probably let her do more shopping than I would like. My biggest problem with this place is the wait. The staff on the most part are pretty good except they take a long time and this backs up people leaving and entering, on the weekends and during lunch on weekdays, you may have a long wait to get in. it is also expensive for what you get. If I'm at Nordstrom's, sure I don't mind stopping by. There are other places to eat connected to the outside of the mall that I prefer, there is also the food court if you really want a fast meal as well. Again, the food is good here and so is the booze.

Again had a wonderful experience at Bazille. My husband and I had lunch together today and it was wonderful. I had a couple glasses of chardonnay, their crab bisque, and the goat cheese and fig salad YUM! Their bisque wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good. The salad was amazing. My husband had their crab mac and cheese which was good, but I didn't get much by way of crab.....I was expecting some chunks or pieces of crab for the price. All in all a good experience.

Visiting Nordstroms and decide to try out their cafe. It's the BEST! I visit this cafe every time I'm at the mall. You can not go wrong with any item on the menu. If you sit by the bar you can watch the chef's cook and assemble your meal on the spot. Every item is a 10!

My boyfriend surprised me on Valentines day by taking me to Bazille in Nordstrom at International Mall, and for being a restaurant inside a mall, I left REALLY impressed. You could tell everything was cut and cooked fresh and the service was just phenomenal. There was this appetizer that was ricotta, chopped tomato, and honey layered in this mason jar with these crispy crostini's served on the side and it was just INCREDIBLE. But my palette had yet to taste the lobster mac and cheese that was my entree. Don't even get me started on dessert. My boyfriend even called ahead to talk to the manager to keep flowers he bought for me in the fridge and the staff even set them up on the table for when we walked in, they really went above and beyond to help him to ensure we had a really great evening. Our server was just incredible too, he gave us the best experience. This is definitely Tampa's best kept secret! I highly recommend it to anyone.

Person 1 "Get dressed as we are going to a restaurant inside the mall." Person 2 "In the mall or near the mall?" Person 1:"It's in a department store in the mall." Person 2: "Um, What???" Person 1: "Wait, ... did I tell you it was in Nordstrom?"...is probably a common conversation people have before ending up here for dinner. Yes, Nordstrom has a restaurant inside of their store and I must say that it is very good. Atmosphere - contemporary bistro, soft lighting, quite, people dressed as though they had been shopping all day (and they have) mixed with couples dressed like they are on a romantic date. Service - prompt, helpful, professional, and attentive Food - The menu here is fairly straightforward and simple. The prices, surprisingly for Nordstrom, appear reasonable and range from $7 (soup) to $20 (roasted salmon, which included sides). From the recommendation of our server, I chose the Flat Iron Steak Frites (i.e. steak and French fries). It came as a 10oz flat iron steak topped w/ herb butter and sides consisting of an organic arugula salad and bistro French fries with kalamata olive aïoli. The steak, while thin as flat iron steak should be, was cooked to order...medium. It was easy to cut and tasted delicious (probably helped significantly by the herb butter). The arugula salad was nicely dressed but the highlight of the sides for me was the Frites, which were the French fries that I dipped into the kalamata olive aïoli. Although I am not a big fan sauces (especially purple-ish looking sauces) I could not stop eating this aïoli as it was soooo good. During my meal, I saw many a brick oven pizza going by that all looked very tasty; however, I was still very happy with my selection for dinner. Overall - Bazille has definitely changed my opinion on restaurants inside of department stores. The next time someone suggests going to a department store for dinner I will definitely be much more open to the idea. This is truly a hidden gem (that is also physically hidden, as it is located waaaay in the back of the department store).

This place is great. I'd like to give em 4 but they had a backed up and confused kitchen this time. Starters were tuna poke. The fried wontons served with the poke were seasoned to perfection. The tomatoes jam jar is a pleasant surprise. Haven't seen it on any other menu. Tiny jar layered layered with ricotta on bottom, pesto, tomatoes, and the peach preserve jam. Interesting right? Try it. Oh and served with tostinis. Entree was the salmon on a bed of mushroom risotto. Had to send it back the first time. Way overcooked. They corrected it shortly after. I did get the tomatoe jar after my Entree also. Some people would probably give 2 stars because of these hiccups. They corrected their wrongs and apologized for the inconvenience. Didn't alter the tab but the food is so good I was glad to pay full price

A Friend and I (Mrs Erik K to be exact), met for dinner at Nordstrom's cafe. It's been on my radar for awhile and I'm glad we decided upon this place. Located upstairs, for a Tuesday night there was a really good crowd. I decided to be good, since I had a bad weekend, and I ordered the lime shrimp salad. It was incredibly fresh and tasty. The shrimp were large and prepared perfectly and the salad dressing was not overpowering. My friend ordered the pear salad and added grilled chicken. We also split a side of Brussels sprouts. I would definitely recommend this place for a healthy, tasty and inexpensive option while at the mall.

This is one of the most underrated places to eat in all of Tampa Bay. Most people have never heard of it, and to describe it doesn't do justice. It's kind of tucked away--2nd floor Nordstrom at the prestigious International Mall. The highlight of the place is definitely the food and drinks. Both are spectacular in taste and are served with a unique visual appeal, with classy, high-dollar-looking plates and glasses and silverware. The ambience is second to none: walk in and immediately see, smell, and feel the wood-burning oven, the shiny modern bar, and the uppity-but-somehow welcoming clan of servers, beautiful well-dressed people, and generally well-to-do patrons. At any time of the day or night, I can walk in and spot a gorgeous sophisticated woman eating or drinking at the bar--alone. The place is owned by Nordstrom so you can imagine the kind of women that frequent this place. So it's a surprisingly abundant pickup place, often featuring the hottest, wealthiest women that the Bay Area has to offer. My only deduction is, the servers are often slow--this includes food and refills. And, they often seem to be conveying a snobbish attitude, perhaps due to the ennui and intimidation from all of those high-moneyed beautiful patrons. Garrett is a great server and has worked there for awhile and I always ask for him.

Great food and good atmosphere. Like others have said, I wouldn't have known about this place if I didn't do a search on yelp. I vaguely remember trying to eat here once when my mom was in town and being told it was a 45 minute wait for lunch. That definitely dashed that idea. However, low and behold you can make reservations on open table! I decided to give this place a try with my husband and we reserved a table for a Tuesday evening. Turns out, for dinner, we probably didn't need reservations. It wasn't empty, but there definitely wasn't going to be a wait. However, if you are going for lunch I would suggest always getting a reservation. I like the atmosphere of this place. You wouldn't be able to tell you're in a Nordstrom. It just seems like a nice restaurant that isn't taking itself too seriously, which is my favorite type of restaurant. I started with a cup of the crab bisque. Honestly, it didn't wow me at all. There were good lumps of crab, but it tasted a bit like tomato soup to me. For my main I got the Blue Cheese and Pear salad. When it came out I was excited about how bit it was. Definitely a meal size. Even though it isn't on the menu, you can add a meat to the salad. I decided against it since I was getting soup too. It was very good. They went a little heavy handed with the blue cheese, but I just pushed it to the side. The dressing was delicious and I loved the candied pecans. My husband got the French Dip sandwich and he loved it. He kept talking about how delicious it was. I like that it comes with stringy fries and an olive aioli dip. The dip had a strong olive flavor. I liked it because I like olives, but my husband avoided it. Overall I think this is a great place to go when you want a relaxed evening or a delicious lunch!

Nordstrom's has a restaurant...huh? Just when I thought I knew all things retail up, down and side to side. Based off the fact that I use yelp extensively, everyone relies on me to make recommendations for restaurants. (ALL THE TIME) It can be annoying. But, that one time that someone makes a suggestion for me and it ends of being PERFECTION...THAT was my experience with Bazille. I actually cannot believe it took me this long to write this review. Bazille (Named for artist Frédéric Bazille, the waiter tells us as we're seated) is located in Nordstrom's in International Plaza, upstairs in the women's section right behind TOP SHOP and Diane Von Furstenberg. The entire floor it's on gives no indication that it exists. It just appears out of nowhere. That fact alone IS ASTOUNDING TO ME!! We came here for lunch and it wasn't too crowded. There was so much I wanted to order however, the crab bisque had rave reviews so I went with it. I wasn't ready. It was literally the best restaurant bisque I've ever had next to Emeril's Crawfish bisque. It was just so rich and filling. We also ordered the Crab Macaroni and cheese that comes with a side of arugula salad and split. It was good. Mac n cheese is always runny when I have it in restaurants, that's the one thing I don't want from that dish. It was moderately flavorful but still kind of flat. Melted cheese is always a hit, though. It was good, don't get me wrong. But, based off the name of it, it should knock your socks off. It doesn't. Bazille is a nice low key restaurant with AMAZING SERVICE and great food. We went during the lunch time however, we were approached by several staff members asking if we were ok and clearing dishes away when our waiter was tied up at the bar. It was interesting to watch the dishes as they were prepared. I saw SO MUCH FANTASTIC LOOKING CUISINE coming out of that kitchen. (It's set up like a sushi bar, where you can watch the chef's prepare the cuisine. Overall, Bazille has my top 3 Décor, Service, and quality food. It's a small, intimate space so I'm not sure how crowded it gets but I can see it filling up fast. I think Bazille is now one of my personal favorites and I didn't even pick it!! Loved this place!

I love this place! Everything I have tried is on point! Some of my favorites: Sitting in front of the open kitchen: I love watching the pizza oven and all the yummy dishes being created. The tomato jam jar: layers of ricotta, pesto, and tomato jam on crispy bread. It's amazing. Get it. Risotto: all flavors are great. Crab bisque: super creamy and a little sweat. Perfection. Last visit they had curry beef soup which was so creamy and savory. Definitely delicious. I also had the proccuitto and arugula pizza. Great chewy crust and loads of toppings.

Best bistro in a department store I've experienced. Soup, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts have all been worthy of my pampered tastebuds. I've kept this place to myself and intimate friends for too long. I don't want it to close due to inattention as have many other of my favorite secret dining spots. Do yourselves a favor and find this treasure in the folds of Nordstrom's Department Store. p.s.- take your significant other shopping afterward to walk off some of those delicious calories.

Favorite lunch spot at international mall in Tampa. I have been a loyal customer through the Nordstrom bistro days and remodeling into Bazille restaurant today. The menu has mostly stayed the same over the years. They change some stuff around but I have yet to be disappointed. Great service most of the time with delicious food. They get it right all the time & I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already done so. The sandwiches are delicious, usually served with French fries & Kalamata aioli which is absolutely favorite of mine condiments. Salads are satisfying & full of flavors. Pizzas are yum too. They even make a great steak for lunch if you are craving that. Long long waits during rush hours of lunch, dinner & especially weekends. But I usually put my name down & by the time I do some shopping we are ready to be seated. Win & Win.

We live 130 miles from here, Nordstrom continues to maintain a high level of excellence, they did not disappoint today. From the time we checked in they collected our cell number to text us when the table is ready, our server did not need a pen he memorized our entire order for a party of five

Y U M M Y! This is one of my and my girlfriends' favorite spots for lunch! I made a reservation on OpenTable and was seated promptly upon arrival. She got the Goat Cheese and Chicken Panini and she loved it. She didn't actually say with words - her plate was empty :) She's obsessed with the kalamata aoili there so I knew she was happy. I got the Crab and Shrimp on Brioche - A MA Z I N G! There was NO skimmping on the crab or shrimp. It was so good I honestly could eat it day and night! It wasn't drowned in mayonaise, just enough to keep it together. The avocado slices were very generous. There were chucks of crab and you could tell this was no canned seafood. I took half of my sandwich back to the office with me so I could enjoy it again in 2 hours. (I know ..sick) We cannot wait to come back!

OMG - this restaurant is AWESOME. We loved the food. The restaurant was full but we sat right at the kitchen counter. The qualify of the food is amazing. We had a medley of food - salad, pasta, pizza, soup (french onion soup divine), even the calamari was amazing. I had a ginger drink (can't remember exactly what was on it) but will go back just for that (One of their signatures drinks). We loved the experience and didn't mind paying the price.

Bazille is located on the top floor of Nordstrom's in the International Mall. I went there for lunch and loved everything. The crab soup is delicious--not too heavy with a buttery piece of thinly sliced baguette on the side and plenty of chunks of crab meat. I also had the spinach and goat cheese salad. Delicious and healthy! In order to balance out all of the wholesome goodness of the salad, I ordered a side of garlic aioli fries with it. Match made in heaven. I would highly recommend reservations as it was packed on a Thursday afternoon and there was a 40 min wait when we arrived at 12:15. IMPORTANT TIP: the bar and counter is first come first serve. So if the wait is long and you don't have reservations, you can give that a try. We got lucky and were able to sit at the counter right away. I will definitely be back to try the other goodies.

A friend of mine said she wanted to have lunch here. At first I was skeptical because it was a restaurant inside a department store, but she said it was good so we went with it. The place was packed and we sat at the counter overlooking the chef station. Everything being prepared looked fresh and fantastic. I was getting hungry watching all of the dishes come out. The waiter was friendly and took our order. We had a calamari appetizer which had a great dipping sauce. I had a prime rib sandwich which was amazing. The fries were great too. My sister and friend both got salads - they were a great side and looked like they tasted great too. I was told that they were. My sister asked the Sous Chef about what was on a plate and he said hummus. She had made a face indicating she didn't like it, or at least she didn't think she liked it. A few minutes later he had a small plate of hummus for her to try. How nice was that? Plus, she liked it! Next time I'm at the mall I'll be eating here.

This was my first time dining here, and it was quite a treat! This is a hidden gem and I only hope others discover it! I had many friends who recommended this restaurant due to the deliciousness and flavor profile of their foods. My family and I had an array of dishes ranging from the Honey Chipotle Chicken Sandwich to the Flat Iron Steak Frites; each bite oozed with flavor; moist and succulent. For dessert we decided to end it lightly with the Profiteroles which is a fancy name for puff pastry with a silky vanilla bean gelato and bittersweet chocolate sauce drizzled. Overall, I will be returning. The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere charming. A must for all those who are on the go and need a nice bite. :)
