I love The Cheese Course! Admittedly, the Midtown location is my favorite (it was my first AND it has BEAUTIFUL outdoor seating - win win.) But, the Pinecrest location being closer to my house makes it my home away from home. Had I emerged from under the rock sooner, I'd easily have 50+ check ins here and 100+ at the Midtown location. Its this and Robeks! ;) The Pinecrest location is on US1 off of Killian in the Suniland shopping center. Look for Flanigans, Eurpean Wax Center and a Nose for Clothes (wth?) They have Thursday specials called "Siply Thursday" $3 glass of house wine, $9 bottle of house wine and $3 craft beers on Thursdays from 5pm-10pm (close). They were also running this special today for Father's Day. So I got to try a new cider (new to me) called Samuel Smith's Organic Apple Cider 5%ABV. Regularly $5, but $3 today! I was ECSTATIC to see a Cider in their craft beer lineup because I had never spotted one before. I hope they'll always have it! Speaking of hopes and cheese dreams...I was extremely saddened when the (very nice) girl who helped me answered my question regarding the almost barren cheese fridges. Yes, this is the new lineup she said. Something tl do with the demographics of the area and the low sales. I figured. But I was wishing and praying that it wasn't true. There used to be dozens of cheese per catergory. But I understand, cheese is a very perishable item. And having too many options/inventory increases waste when certain stock doesn't sell. The only way to prevent this? More of the same item instead of less of many! Am I making any sense? Sorry, that Cider is making me a little woozy already. Hey! Don't judge. ..I came here on an empty stomache. I was treating myself to a little indulgent Sunday. It was this or getting my nails done. I chose Cheese...duh. Anyway, back to TCC. Its the perfect quanit little spot for all occasions, really. A romantic date, day or night. Catching up with the girls. Having an afternoon lunch meeting. Why does that always have to be at Starbucks? Boring! They even have a 14-seater table. So bring the whole family. You'll feel right at home. The ladies here know what real customer service is!

I really liked this place. The ham and cheese platters are great. The soups are good. Definitely a repeat. Think of this as a more refined panera and you can have wine :)

Ordered a sandwich for pickup and this place never fails to disappoint! The food is delicious. I only wish i could stay longer to explore the cheese and wine pairing selections. What a wonderful idea--I love cheese!

    I. LOVE. Good quality CHEESE. And the Cheese Course serves exactly that and more. The Salads and delicious. Some of my favorite cheeses include Prima Donna, Garroxta, Midnight Moon, Barely Buzzed and the Bilberry one (so sad that they don't carry it anymore. And no suitabme replacement either! )

Everything about this place is amazing, I usually come for my lunch. They have the perfect combination half a sandwich and soup. Amazing cookies and service. I recommend for everyone to come here

Consistently good. Very good service, pretty quick if you're in a rush, and quality food. I have been there twice this week. Also, a different but cool environment, not many places have the same feel as the cheese course.

Gotta love The Cheese Course! I've been to 3 of their locations and so far I love them all.. Great selection of cheeses, fresh salads and sandwiches.. And great wine prices! Sit down for lunch of pickup some stuff to take home for dinner.

I'm finally able to write my review for this place. It was my first time here. It's been on my radar for awhile now. Finally got my chance. Well starters, the parking here in the suniland mall is always packed and hard to get space. The set up is not a sit down type, but more of order and pay at counter and they give you a number and they bring out the food. It's a large menu, mostly just salads, sandwiches and of course the signature choices of cheese. I went by the reviews and ordered the prosciutto and Mozz on whole wheat baguette and paired with tomatoe soup. Loved it!!' The bread was so soft, the meat and cheese was very fresh. I ordered a glass of Cabarnet, hello!!!! It's a French restaurant!!! Lol. But they also have a variety of other beverages, such as, sodas, water and beer. I really enjoyed this place and definitely will return. The only draw back for me was the noise level. It has very high, open concept ceilings and tile floor, which makes for a very loud experience. Also I came during lunch and was very busy. I was lucky to get a table. The service was nice and helpful. You won't regret.

Wow wow wow! I am a restaurant owner and sometimes the hardest guy to please when it comes to food, but I absolutely love the sandwiches these guys are making. When you use great ingredients like they do the results are delicious! I will be a customers of theirs for years to come. As long as they keep doing what they are doing.

Very tasty and fresh cheese! I enjoyed their broccoli cheedar soup and the Italian Caprese sandwhich. The soup was nice and smooth but that cheese they use is mind blowing. If you love cheese try the soup you will see what I mean. The caprese was served fresh although you have the option to have it warmed up I choose it cold. It was simple with cheese tomato, basil pesto but was very refreshing .

Yelpers, you did me right! I loved everything about the Cheese Course. First the parking around here sucks, you might want to go to the back. I can't stand when everyone goes to the front and watch people walk to their car just to get that closer parking. Ummmm walk people! It's not far. Anyways, when you first walk in the menu is on the right along where you take your order. I walked to the cheese display and thought I order there. But the cashier is friendly and helps you if you never been here before or need some advice. I ordered a cheese platter from Italy along with the house merlot wine. The hubby ordered a asiago and fontina grilled cheese sandwich. OMG was everything on point. My intent was to order the caprese sandwich or the procuitto sandwich but I thought ordering a cheese platter would be good enough. It was enough to fill me up with some left overs. Def going to try the France and American platter next time. Oh before you go, make sure groupon or Loving social is offering a deal. I found one after the fact and it was a damn good deal ($12 for $20 worth of food). I bought one for when i go again! Overrall, good food and great customer service and decent house wines.

The sandwiches are to die for. I had the Atlantic Salmon and substituted cream cheese for goat cheese.. Wow. Amazing. I also tried the Black Forest ham with bacon. Also an amazing sandwich! If it weren't for for the fact that it's a little pricey, I'd be saying "who's subway?"

After wanting to try this place for months, finally stopped by with a friend. We will definitely be back! We came on a Friday night around 8pm. Parking was open, and the place wasn't too busy. The employee was helpful in explaining the menu options to us, and helping us choose cheese and accompaniments. We tried a great cheese I can't recall the name of, but it was soft and garlicky, and the caramelized walnuts were tasty. We each tried a soup/sandwich combo- the asiago soup was very good, as was the mushroom option. The caprese sandwich was good, and the black forest ham was great though it could've used a little more raspberry/cranberry relish. There was also a decent wine and beer selection, and the drink options are well-priced. The only downside I found was rather small tables and uncomfortable seats at the small tables- we'll sit at a bigger, more comfortable table next time! I'll be back to try more cheeses and sandwiches, and to bring more friends to try them with me.

I really like the grilled cheese sandwich with asiago cheese and the tomato soup. I normally don't like tomato soup because it's usually too tangy. I love this one! I love it so much that I went two days in a row and had the same exact meal!! The cheeses and the breads here are amazing! If you love cheese, you will love this place!

Cheese course has just that amazing cheese courses and wines. Thursdays they have $3 glasses of wine or $9 bottles. They also have wine tasting a couple times a month if you sign up for the mailing list they will usually send out an email blast as to what tatsing they will be having that month. Love all the sandwiches here just hate that it's so far from my house either way I will continue to come here because I love cheese so damn much.

What is not to love about this place? Small, not crowded, close to home and super delish-- all I need to satisfy my foodie soul! Place itself, a little rustic. Seating for plenty is available. The menu is very easy to ready and they have a good variety of specials. The staff is very friendly and willing to help, oh and I must say- nothing but smiles made me feel nice! I had the Serrano ham and manchego .. its simple few ingredients hit the spot. No fussy weird toppings or sauces- the cheese really shines. My lovely sis had the chicken salad, fresh and totally delightful. Got a question about pairings of cheese and wine? They will break it down for you. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Totally making multiple trips here to put more food in this belly. Kudos Pinecrest...No need to drive far for some good grub.

I was looking forward to sharing a few cheese plates and wine with family and friends...there were five of us. We perused the menu while waiting in line for 15 minutes..overheard the cashier say that they were out of ice..no problem - we are drinking wine and water; ice is not needed! She begins to take our order despite the chaos and confusion of pouring wine, making expressos, answering random questions of confused patrons....then she remembers to tell us that there is a 20 - 30 minute wait for food - cheese platters, wine, water...maybe a few salads and sandwiches..no thanks! Went to Whole Foods purchased a few cheeses and accompaniments and a few bottles of wine. Saved money and laughed at the audacity of The Cheese Course. Here's the problem: this location is understaffed and unorganized!! Great concept - poor execution.

Good sandwiches and food. Wayyyy overpriced like ridiculously overpriced for the food offerings. Small portions not really filling. Better off buying the cheese whole sale from BJ's, and making it your self.

Every time I eat here I feel like I am being transported to a little cheese shop in France. Although small and sometimes parking is difficult, it is worth it. I am choosing to write a review now because just last week I discovered that on Thursday nights they do an amazing extended happy hour- $3 beers and wine glasses and $9 house wine bottles. Paired with a great little sandwich or a cheese board it is the perfect after work spot. I also have done catering from here for my sister's bridal shower. The sandwiches were amazing and kept well to be served a few hours after they were delivered. The quiches are also excellent here. Never honestly had a bad experience at this place.

Nice shop and place to eat. I heard about the Cheese Course in Midtown, but due to the opening of this store... definitely a place to visit. Went for lunch, very nice place. The set up of their products, the whole ambiance makes you feel that you are in a small unique shop buying specialty stuff!! And special it is, as they have a big variety of cheeses, mild, bold, whatever flavor. Ordered the Charcuterie Platter, they give you several meats to choose from and their accompaniments. The meat selection: Prosciutto, Serrano, Truffle Pate & Duck Pate. Accompaniments: fig chutney, plum chutney, cornichons and of course... Baguette Bread!!! Everything was delicious!!! plus we ordered salad too!! that came with fresh goat cheese, that was very tasty - the French Salad, maybe..... Staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful with the questions. Check In on Yelp and get 10% off!!!

I had been dying to try this place and it did not disappoint! It is very cute and the selection of cheese that they carry is amazing! I got the half sandwich/cup of soup deal and it was amazing! The buffalo chicken soup is basically is liquid buffalo chicken wing - I love wings, so this was right up my alley. I got a grilled fontina and Asiago sandwich and I wish I had gotten a while one...it was that good! Only reason why I'm only giving them 4 stars is because I felt that they were a bit understaffed and it took a little longer than expected. Other than that, I highly recommend this place! I'll definitely be back on Thursdays for the amazing happy hour deals.

Damn you cheese course for doing it to me again. Another gorging notch on the belt. My wife and I always take one of the 6 cheese courses and split them with a bottle of wine. We always leave full and happy. Today we mixed things up and decided to order the premium pastrami sandwich and HOT FRICKING DAMN it was delicious! We left just not with smiles on and full belly's. Also special thanks to the kind staff for always giving me great recommendations and for the free cheddar cranberry chipotle sample today.

It seemed like it would be good but the sandwich I got had too much dry manchego cut in giant, thick chunks, and not nearly enough tapenade. It was too dry to enjoy. And the cheese selection has nothing that sets it apart from the Whole Foods next door. So what's the point?

    (2)
  • Stephanie S.

I haas the chicken Cesar salad here. Everything is fresh. The chicken in other places tends to be fatty and not as good. But this chicken tasted fresh and not processes. And of course all the cheeses they use in their meals are great. THey have nice party platters I've ordered for a couple events. A little expensive but worth it on occasion.

Been to the midtown location and the service was great! Unfortunately can't say the same for this place. No one even told us they were not serving anymore, they just watched us stare at the menu for 15 min figuring out what to get and then tell us. Mind you, it was 8:10pm and yelp says they close at 9pm. Then when I asked, they said they close at 8:30.

Wine and cheese? What's not to love?! So, a group of three of us went as a ladies night, it was our first time there though we had heard good reviews. All I can say is it was underwhelming. The three of us decided on sandwich and soup combos, getting the Brie sandwiches and broccoli and cheese soups. They were great, the soup was very good! We got there later in the evening, so that was the only soup available, and we were not disappointed. Then the young girl recommended a wine and cheese plate for $30, the plate contained an assortment of five different cheeses, and we would get a bottle of wine. Apparently, after we paid, we were told the wine had to be either a merlot or a carbernet. We chose a merlot, and it was the most god awful wine I think I have ever had ( and I have had trader joes two buck chuck)! The cheese was OK, and odd mish mosh of cheese where nothing really went together. The girls working there were very friendly and accomadating. The young girl that rang us up and brought out our dishes seemed very lost, didn't know what the cheeses were that she was serving us, didn't tell us about the wine restriction. However I do not want to bad mouth her, as she seemed new and thusly out of her depth. I MAY try this place, but if I do, I will choose the cheeses and wine, clearly their platters are not very well though out. My biggest gripe with the place was the fact that we went there seeking a little guidance on what to order, and were not given that.

We love eating at The Cheese Course. I was just a little disappointed that this location doesn't carry our favorite Riesling (Grans-Fassian). Additionally, the customer service isn't as great as other locations and they are extremely skimpy on the samples.

  • Sarah C.

Food is always great but my problem is with the service. The line is always long and there is only one girl working the register, even though they have two registers. They need to hire more people. Also, when it's busy the girls at the register are often a little rude. I never see them smile.

Good local Cheese Shop. Small cheese shop located in a strip mall. Has a very good selection from smooth to sharp and soft to hard cheese's. Has no outdoor seating like their other location. The inside is clean with several tables and chairs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their products. They make a variety of sandwiches, quiches, and salads. Plus they also have several types of cheese platters that you can add different accompaniments to it. They have white and wheat breads for the sandwiches. They also offer classes on making Cheese.

This place really should have a 4 or a 5 rating, but unfortunately due to the service, it is a 3. Let me explain: I have visited twice, mostly because of the amazing food! On the first visit my husband and I ordered the #14 and a 3 cheese platter with fig spread and sun dried tomato pesto. My husband's food came right away, while I waited and waited for my cheese board. Husband finished his food and mine still hadn't arrived. He then got up to ask what had happened. That's when we found out that our waitress in training had delivered my cheese board to another table. Mine was on its way. Ok, fine. Then we see another cheese board coming out of the kitchen, only to go to the same table...their correct cheese board! They had 2 and I still hadn't received mine! WOW! I was offered meat if I wanted, or a glass of wine, of which I declined both. FINALLY mine came! It was delicious...but I was a bit put off by the service. My expectation would have been a gift card, or a coupon. We had waited an inordinate amount of time! I then, because the food was so good, took a friend for lunch 2 days later. When we got there we were basically the only people int the place. We ordered and sat down. Then others followed. As food started coming out of the kitchen, we noticed that it was going to those who had come after us! What?? How does that work? Our sandwich then came out, and I'm sorry...it doesn't take a chef to know that an avocado is NOT RIPE! It was so hard, it was impossible to chew! I didn't say anthinig until our plates were cleared, but really? Otherwise the food was excellent. One thing I'm curious about: once you've ordered and paid, you are handed a number which you place on your table which I am assuming alerts the wait staff to the order of your table...how is it that a tray can go to a wrong table, and we get offered salads, which is not what we ordered? Things that make you go hmmmm...? All in all this is a place which serves excellent food..if only they could get their service to match. I will return in the hopes that they are working on it, and if so, will update my review and add more stars!

Oh, The Cheese Course. How I love you so. I first experienced their great sandwiches on accident. I was walking around Midtown with a friend and I was SO hungry that I said we would eat at the next place we walked past. Thank GOD it was The Cheese Course. This location didn't let me down either. I took my boyfriend here on a relaxing Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The place only had a few other people in it, so it was quiet and calm. I had a brie grilled cheese and decided to add lettuce and tomato to try something new and it was amazing! I also ordered the tomato soup, I love me some tomato soup. I devoured the soup, wishing my bowl was 10x bigger cause it was so damn good. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his sandwich and was glad I had taken him there for lunch. We will definitely be back!

Much smaller portions than the one midtown... The caprese salad had tasteless mozzarella. Even salt didn't do the trick. The chicken salad was good though. The meat quiche was with chicken or white meat. Original. But it was way to small for $10. Overall expensive lunch for the given portions and we left still hungry.

I was thrilled to find this location right off the highway on the way from Key West to MIA. After having a sandwich at the Midtown location, I thought I'd try this one...purely for comparison purposes. :P I had the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto and fontina on the whole wheat baguette. They had me at fontina. So delicious and melty...as shown in the pic. It stole the show. My husband had the salami sandwich and was "shocked" at how strong the provolone was. I think it just came off as really sharp since it was so abundant and thickly sliced. I would try to order it with a milder cheese, like mozzarella, or ask for less provolone. Even though I liked my black forest ham and brie sandwich at the other location better, the grilled chicken one here was still pretty darn good. Overall, love this place, but I give the other location the edge due to friendlier service.

In this analogy: Subway = processed american cheese Panera = a good sharp cheddar Cheese Course = a whole freagin' tray of assorted, high end goat cheese. They all do sandwiches and stuff. But some sandwiches are better than others. At the cheese course, you can just buy cheese. Sit there and eat it or take it to go. And they have wine. And beer. (Even Shipyard Pumpkinhead.) But what I love the most is there soup/salad/sandwich menu. Of course, really good cheese is a part of any choice. The beet and goat cheese salad. The Tuscan vegetable sandwich. I can highly recommend these. Serves Coke, not Pepsi, just another example of refined taste.

The Cheese Course comes to Pinecrest! I wonder what took so long; if there was ever an area ripe for this kind of sandwich/cheese shop, this is it. Just like any other Cheese Course store, there are cheeses, jellies, jams and whatnot for sale, the tables lined with various cheese publications. I had no idea there are so many periodicals devoted to cheese. Sandwich-wise, the menu lists the exact same sandwiches you know and love from the other locations. My favorite is probably the #7 Prosciutto di Parma sandwich with the pesto on a whole wheat baguette. What this location lacks is the serene garden-like outside seating of the Midtown location. There's no getting around that, no trellises and flower boxes here - it's not possible, doesn't have the real estate. Oh well. Now that this store is open, I'm not going to drive to Midtown just for outside seating.

I absolutely love this place, I ordered one of their sandwich, the maple bacon and it was delicious, fresh, and tasty. The only reason why I don't give this place a 5 star is because the place is so small at times it can be annoying not being able to find a table. I've gone twice and I had to take my food to go :/... maybe they should expand their space, but overall, a great, relaxing place.

I've been there twice for lunch and both times the service and food were great! Bacon & onion quiche, so delicious as well as the chicken salad sandwich with tomato basil soup. The house wine is very good. Seating can be hard at times, but it's worth it. I will be back.

This place is my wife and my favorite place to go for the "around the corner from the office", great quality, healthy foods, at a reasonable price lunch spot. Great food, always consistent (I usually have a smoked salmon salad or sandwich) and never been disappointed by the food. This place is a spot-on lunch spot, and they have good wines and cheese!

Dear Cheese Course of Pinecrest, Ahhh, the cheeses. The wine... The sandwiches! What can I say that hasn't already been said...? Let's stick to the facts... You have a huge selection of cheeses, a nice selection of wines, tons of interesting foodie gifts (like fondue pots, ceramic cookware and awesome cookbooks), and awesome take-home snacks, like orgainic cookies and nuts. My fiance and I enjoy coming here and sharing a cheese plate, usually by flavor (we enjoy mild and medium), and a sandwich, and of course a delicious bottle of wine. Your place is usually quiet, never too packed, which I enjoy. It gives a more intimate feeling. The staff is attentive and very nice, as well as knowledgable on the cheeses. They always assist us with making a good selection. Thank you for finally opening a location that is within my dinnertime radius. We definitely enjoy our visits. :) From your #1 cheese & wine fan, SabrinaAnna*

Finally made it to this location! Although my expectations were set high due to their Midtown location where they have a nice set-up outdoors, this one does not. But, the place is never packed, they have a wide variety of wine and cheese plus other foods as well! We ordered the Prosciutto de Parma to share and each of us picked on selected cheeses paired with a 2008 Pinot Noir. Delicious! Oh, and they make great cookies as well!!

Pinecrest's food options are a smidge depressing, so I was excited when the Cheese Course opened, even though it seemed to be a magnet for the soccer mom set. While the menu is the antithesis of (the now long-forgotten) Sunniland offshoot of NYC's Energy Kitchen, the Cheese Course's salads are satisfying and despite the cheese-theme, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered except the Grilled Cheese. The Grilled Cheese I ordered was gross, by the way, because it was dripping with cheese. In a way that was not awesome. In a way that was really gross. Another lil' tip is that they always have a nice little selection of samples on the back side of the center counter. You can try out cheese and crackers, jams, and other goodies. All around I'm giving the Cheese course four stars because the food is generally very good, and the staff generally friendly, but I do have one suggestion for this business's improvement: on entering, the variety of cheeses on display can be staggeringly stinky! Although after a few minutes you no longer notice this, I'd recommend keeping the more fragrant cheeses under wraps. One other recommendation I'd have for the Cheese Course is for them to offer the option to get a glass of wine when they serve the food, OR switch to full waiter service in the evenings to give the opportunity to push wine. Although I don't typically drink wine at lunch, I frequently feel like the cheesiness of their food would go well with wine. I do believe the Cheese Course has it's liquor license, so selling wine with its meals would improve gross profits and complement the food well.

So happy there is a Cheese Course in Pinecrest. While it does not have the same charm and ambiance as the location in Midtown, this location is very nice. I really liked the decor and look/feel. It is cozy; a great place for lunch or dinner. We visited for lunch, shared a grilled vegetable and the serrano/manchego sandwiches on wheat baguette. The former is served toasted, which I LOVE. The later is at room temp. Next time I'll ask if it can be warmed up. That would be great! Both sandwiches are handmade to order and filled/packed with goodies (zucchini, onions, tomatoes/serrano, manchego, sundried tomatoes pesto and olive tapenade). I found the meal very satisfying. PS: the soft-rind cheese tasting station is amazing. The cheese was incredibly delicious, with mild/tangy flavor. J'aime le fromage!

I have been wanting to eat here for a while, and I almost did once but experienced sticker shock and left. Now, with groupon in hand, I was ready to pop this cherry! I had the pesto mozzarella and basil with prosciutto half with the buffalo chicken soup. OMG! It was delicious! I would have licked the inside of the bowl if I wasn't in Pinecrest (pinkies up) and I devoured my sandwich. Inside the place is cozy but not cramped, very friendly staff, and very low key vibe. Kudos for the purse hooks that line that wall so we ladies can eat comfortably. I'll be back for sure :)

I have yet to try something I don't like from the cheese course. The sandwiches are delicious! My favorite is the albacore tuna melt. The salads are filling, fresh and refreshing. My favorite is the roasted beet. The ambiance is rustic, and quiet. Staff is also very pleasant!

I should have written this review a long time ago. My family and I love this place! It a cheese lovers paradise. We have tried salads, platters, and sandwiches. Not one dish has let us down. For salads, strongly recommend the french field of greens. For platters, it really depends on taste, but the American and French platters are both really good. If you are really into cheese, these platters have some great "stinky" cheeses. For sandwiches, the classic cheddar melt, the grilled chicken breast (my favorite), the prosciutto di Parma, and the applewood bacon (my wife's favorite) are all delicious. You can order any sandwich with white or wheat baguette. The recently got their liquor license so you can now enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer. It's a counter style place so there are no waiters, but the staff is very good and friendly. This place will not let you down.

I've lived in Miami for 4 years now, and honestly there are no true cheeses places here except for this place. They don't have all the options in the world but what they have is great. The sandwiches are killer! The wine is solid and the service is great. Yes! A place in Miami where people are nice! (I know it's almost rare). I really enjoy this place. Even for a nice date the place is great. Have one of the platters, a glass a wine and enjoy! The prices are not bad at all either.

For those of you who aren't sure about this place. I recommend you "GET SURE" of it real quick. You are missing out I ordered a #1, and a #16 with a water, and a tea to drink. Total ticket $22 Value = 5 stars Customer Service 5 stars Food Quality = 5 stars Most people would come here and be scared because of all the gourmet cheeses to choose from, and/or how to choose what to eat. Best thing to do, TELL THE DAMN CASHIER "i'm new to this, and would like to be educated". Them folks will take the time to explain what is good to try/start with to get you introduced to gourmet cheese. There is plenty of educational decor on the walls as well so you can see the differences between all the cheeses. As we were waiting on our orders, a women brought us some type of conbread style dish that was sprinkled with a confectioners sugar type thing (however it was as sweet as confectioner sugar), and dried cranberries. She then began to explain all the different cheese styles as we had asked and before long our food arrived. SIMPLY AMAZING, hands down! YOU WILL THANK ME FOR TELLING YOU TO GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND GO HERE. Quiznos & Subway... CYA, you don't even register on my radar anymore.

Excellent sandwiches, tried the egg bacon with cream cheese and spicy mayo, it was filling. Also, the Chicken pesto was good. The prices are high, the ingredients are good, not an everyday sandwich at $10. The cappuccino was good, but too small for $3.50. I would go back and check out the cheeses.

Cute place for some wine/beer & cheese but thats about it. Sandwiches have no meat but lots of bread. Salads average. Overall glad I tried something new but def not impressed.

First Total Wine & now The Cheese Course! Pinecrest keeps getting better and better!! This location is slightly smaller than the midtown local and the there's no side garden but the service more than makes up for it. The staff is SUPER helpful!! They let me sample a few cheeses and recommended a midnight goat cheese that was to die for. The soups and sandwiches are always amazing but the real value is in the cheeses. Forget Whole foods people, come here for your cheeses, way better selection & value.

I am a big fan of this place. Sandwiches are great and service is prompt. Try the manchego and Serrano sandwich.

This is a great lunch spot! It is a little pricey but when you can do a combo of a soup and sandwich it definitely is affordable and filling. Their tomato bisque soup is AMAZING! The atmosphere is very laid back but can feel crowded because of the smaller space.

I'm in love. This is my new favorite spot. I won't even take off a star for the girl working behind the counter who seemed like she was in the worst mood possible, their food completely made up for her debbie downer status. The sandwich we had was APPLEWOOD BACON w/ Goat Gouda, tomatoes, avocado, rosemary aioli, and greens; warmed and our salad was FRENCH FIELD GREENS w/ Fresh Goat Cheese, dried cranberries, mustard-shallot vinaigrette, and fresh bread. They also had samples of fresh pesto, french bread, a variety of cheeses, meats, etc.. I can't wait to go back.....next weekend!

In my attempt to keep my fat girl inside, where she belongs and shall forever remain, I try to eat super duper healthy on weekdays. I avoid fats, meats, sweets, booze - basically all things delicious. So, come the weekend, the fat girl inside takes over and the girl on the outside lets loose. Enter The Cheese Course - the deprived fat girl inside's paradise. Cheese, carbs, sweetness - oh joy. I visited the Midtown location several months ago and wasn't impressed, however, this visit was pretty epic. Maybe it's the fact I havent indulged in a piece of creamy brie in many moons or that I was so happy hubby was actually in the mood to visit a place with "cheese" in the name, but something about this visit was magical. The place is adorable - way cuter and roomier than the Midtown spot. The only thing they lack is outside seating, but that's OK since Miami allows comfortable weather for outside seating for 2 weeks out of the year. Also, the staff in this location is much friendlier. I asked a lady about a certain cheese which looked really interesting and called my attention and she promptly offered me a tasting. After falling in love with this mystery cheese I asked about the name and she wasn't sure, so she asked another gentleman who didn't know either but made it his mission to find out. He made a few calls and upon getting his answer he printed me a label with all the 411. That was awesome. Hubby ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast, which comes warm and dressed up with Fontina, tomatoes, basil pesto, roasted red onions, rosemary aioli, and greens. He fell in love at first bite - I bit too, it was really good. Our only complaint is the "chicken" itself.. it wasn't grilled or fresh, or maybe even chicken at all. It reminded us of chicken from Subway, which we all know isn't chicken. Besides that minor detail it was very good. I was craving brie and had the same thing I had last time - The Black Forest Ham with Brie, raspberry cranberry relish, and greens. Minus the greens. My sandwich was perfect - next time I will ask for it warm since brie is always better when it's alittle melted. We also ordered a ham & cheese quiche, which was very rich and a little salty but very tasty. Unfortunately they are still pending their wine license so they weren't able to offer us any vino but they were kind enough to give us 2 vouchers for complimentary wine for our next visit. I definitely plan to come back for my vino and to try other goodies on the menu. A great place for a wine-less lunch hour escapade with my hungry chicks from work.

Teleport to California. I feel like I'm in napa here (even wi th the prices). Have visited x3 so far and plan to keep coming. Food: all we've eaten is delicious. Hubby had steak sandwich and likes. I've had applewood bacon sandwich that has avocado and is super yummy and filling. I would prefer to share a sandwich and get a quiche but hubby doesn't enjoy sharing. Quiches r yummy and come w/ salad w/ awesome dressing. Wine available now! Haven't tried but will. They lay a spread of cheeses n spreads for customers to taste by register and I always enjoy. Cheese platter and 1accompaniment is large nuff to share. I enjoyed a recommended Gouda w/ fresh grapes. There is no outside seating but I wouldn't sit outside a strip mall, so unless ur view is a valley, enjoy the a/c in Miami and go to Cali for the view. Prices r a little high but nothing insane.

I love this place! The menu is perfect. The food delicious - if you like sandwiches and French bread - this is your place. A great selection of take out cheese too- soups are wonderful. A little noisy but who cares when the food is so good!

LOVE IT! Thank goodness for my yelp search for "Caprese" that led me to The Cheese Course page. I specifically wanted a Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil sandwich and to my surprise The Cheese Course is right around my apartment. I came here, ordered the Prosciutto de Parma, which had everything I wanted PLUS prosciutto, and fell in love. It was a $10 sandwich, but it was well worth it. I can't wait to come back and try other sandwiches and salads!

The cheese is great but the service sucks! These ppl are cheap with the samples. It took like 6 people to create a sample plate that never was served to the guest.

I cannot say enough about this place. I first came here for an Entertaining with Cheese class and had a wonderful time. Michael was great and is a wealth of cheese information. I went back yesterday with a group of ten for a celebration. The wines are very reasonably priced. I ordered the medium cheese platter and the beet salad...it was very very good. Everyone loved it and we are planning on going back on a regular basis!

Cheese cheese cheese and wine wine wine! Just went for their taste of Italy (happens monthly I think) and it was a great variety of cheese and you get a bottle of house wine. I recommend sampling the wine before you pick one. Also comes with bread and olives. $30 and you can share between 2-4...people were also ordering dinner and all of their food looks delicious. Will be back for more great cheese and wine! And other meals :)

I absolutely loved this place. Think about it...a cheese themed restaurant!! They have sandwiches, salads, wine by the glass, and individual cheese platters, as well as any cheese you can imagine sold by the lb. They had Midnight Moon and Fromager d'Affinois at OK prices. ( I expected it to be extremely pricey compared to Whole Foods and other specialty markets, but it was more or less the same) The food itself though, I did found to be on the expensive side, but worth every penny!! Three sandwiches and three drinks close to $40, approximately. We had the grilled chicken sandwich with fontina and a pesto spread, prosciutto de parma sandwich w Gouda instead of mozzarella, the cheese melt ( the BEST cheddar grilled cheese sandwich ever, but we took some ingredients out because it was for our 3 yr old), the french field greens salad w goat cheese, and the broccoli and cheddar soup. The soup was really the only thing that wasn't great. Everything else was delicious, fresh, and made to order. I saw quite a few more things I want to try next time! The place itself has a country look with a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. If you love cheese and haven't gone yet, you should!!!

I have been waiting and waiting for a Cheese Course location down south, and am thrilled to report the Pinecrest location is open for business! They only recently opened and on my visit this past Friday they had not yet obtained their liquor license. I inquired and they confirmed that until they have their license you can BYOW to enjoy. I agree with Patrick, it's too bad they couldn't find a location with a patio. They have made the inside spacious and less crowded than some of the other locations. I love the big wood farm house table in the front of the restaurant. The sandwiches and salads seem to be a mirror image of the other locations. I tried the American Greens salad with grilled chicken on my visit and it was delicious and fresh. I love to order a sandwich and add a salad, then split the dish with a friend. I am also working my way through the cheese courses, if only there were more hours in the day. They had a few samples out to try that day and many gourmet cheeses for sale. I saw an employee making a gorgeous cheese tray platter "to go", I can ensure you your guests will be impressed if you serve one at your next party. Welcome to the neighborhood Cheese Course, see you soon and often!

Love the Cheese Course! I wish there was a location in Orlando. I went to the one in Weston while there for training for work. I then visited my sister in Miami and found that there was one just down the street. Jackpot ! So far I have shared the following sandwiches: #7 Prosciutto Di Parma, #12 Premium Grilled Pastrami,#14 Applewood Bacon, and the #18 Smoked North Atlantic Salmon. All yummy! I can't wait to visit my sister again.

I have reviewed the Midtown location, now its time to show some love to Pinecrest. I attended the soft opening and was a bit sad for them because the bureaucrats of this city took forever to issue their liquor license. Shame on the politics. Much more happy now that the issue is been resolved. Their grand opening this past week was great, as any other TCC event. Although I love the Midtown location, I have to confess I'm a bit happy I wont have to drive so far for good cheese.

Very slow service and poorly managed. Tables are always dirty. Staff is unenthusiastic and seems like they would rather be somewhere else. It's a shame because the sandwiches are pretty decent.

I have been at this particular cheese course several times. The young lady at the register was very cordial and helpful. I was very disappointed in the older man. He reprimanded the young employee who was taking what seamed to be taking a large order on the phone. He seemed upset that a customer called him to wait on him. He reprimanded the young girl who was doing her the best she could. He made a comment in front of customers which was very inappropriate . You think he would know better. The serve previous times was much better than today. I was extremely disappointed in our service.

Amazing sandwiches! Soup, not so much (especially given the steep $6 price tag for a cup). I got the pastrami sandwich, which was savory and delicious - melted in my mouth. I also got the broccoli cheddar soup, which you would think would be creamy (or at least cheesy, considering that it's being sold by an artisanal cheese shop). But it was more like a bitter broccoli puree. But I'm still giving this place 4 stars, because of the sandwich, the atmosphere, and the friendly service.

Love cheese! Love the selection! Loved my order! The sandwiches are big enough to share, which is what I plan on doing next time. The selection is vast so make time to get the whole experience when you go.

First visit on Friday and it was probably my last. They advertised on their web and Facebook page that they would have complimentary Fondue tasting. It was cancelled. So we proceed to order the Fondue anyways and was told that it included 2 glasses of wine. We also ordered a bottle of wine and a French cheese platter. Half way through our meal, we realize that we never received the 2 glasses of wine and were missing a few items from the cheese platter. Once we brought it to the attention of the girl behind the counter, it was corrected but the entire situation left a bad impression with us. The fondue was OK, the tea-light did not last very long and the cheese quickly hardened. On a positive note, the staff was very knowledgeable on the wine and cheese pairings. We may try this restaurant one more time, probably the Midtown location, to see if the service and food is any better.

I love The Cheese Course, super fan right here, who use to drive to their original Weston location before they branched out to Miami. So I consider myself to be a pretty well informed judge of their standard of service. I have been to this location twice and they are really off their typically stellar mark here. Both times when ordering, I had to practically spell out in slow, precise, instructions what I wanted, when they were items that were standard on the menu. My most recent visit on 10/28 not only did we have issues with getting our order placed, the lady in front of us had to guide the person through the menu to place her simple order, even having the person tell her the combo she asked for didn't exist and both I and this stranger, pointed to the board and said yes it does right there. It was very frustrating, mostly because of the Midtown, Downtown and Weston locations where I have never experienced this before. To make it worst my cheese and accompaniment was completely wrong, but I was so hungry it wasn't worth complaining. I hope over time they can identify better staff at the register who truly love cheese and want you to have the best fomage experience.

Love The Cheese Course!!!! Their sandwiches are awesome. My 2 favorite are the Applewood Bacon & the Black Forest Ham with Brie. The staff are super friendly & helpful. Love their platters....finally trying & loving cheeses that I was wary of tasting.

I love the cheese course. So when out with the girls in the Kendall area, we were craving a nice afternoon cocktail. Being from the area, Jackie S suggested Cheese Course. I was so excited... I frequent the Cheese Course in Midtown Often (It's one of my "review of the day"). This Cheese Course definitely met my expectations. The girl at the register was very nice. She let us try all the cheese we wanted and even the wine. In the end, we went with a nice pinot blanc and a cheese platter. It was the perfect way to relax on a Saturday afternoon. I wonder if the Cheese Course has any interest in heading North. Pembroke Pines Maybe?

Location not very big but thankfully there was a long table to accommodate all 7 of us. We ordered cheese platters, wine, chicken sandwich , a quiche and can't recall the rest, but everything was delicious. Since we had a birthday girl amongst us, we had this brownie with cupcakes and cookie and they where so nice to plate it with a candle. The brownies were amazing. It's a bit pricey but worth it. They sell wines and utensils for cheese serving among other things. Service is quick and staff friendly and courteous.

Food rocks. Roast beef and blue cheese with cranberry and red lettuce on a baguette was really good. Cheese shop atmosphere is very nice. For first-timers this unit lacks a place to go to order, or seems to. Staff ranges from uber-helpful to clueless. It's a fun place to go and try a lot of cheeses with sampler plates, or just to grab a nice bite for lunch.

What a classy joint. Just south of Miami in an unassuming commercial center is this remarkable cheese, wine, pastry and sandwich shop. They offer very high end products in amazing combinations with pleasant service and a humble peaceful setup. I will try to come back and recommend you go there.

This place takes me back to Europe. You order at the front where they have a big menu with sandwiches, cheese, salads, deserts all kinds of things. Around the store you can buy cheeses to t take home or many products sold in Europe like sodas, crackers, and meats. Me and my cousin ordered a cheese course, we had the PARMIGIANO REGGIANO and you can order any company which we ordered grapes with it. We also had the Caprese Salad which was so fresh! I ordered #15 The SOUTHWEST CHICKEN BREAST sandwich but changed the cheese from Jalapeno Monterey Jack to Manchego cheese, this was absolutely amazing!! My cousin had the #16 SPANISH SERRANO HAM which was also out of this world! For dessert I got one of their freshly made red velvet cupcakes and the torta de Santiago which is a almondy tart which is really famous in Spain. They have a really good wine selection to choose from as well. We sat outside since the weather was amazing and they have a really nice sitting area outside. I would love to come here anytime!!

We've been here for lunch three times and the sandwiches are absolutely delicious and the service is quick. My only complaint is that the chairs are very uncomfortable for someone with a pants size larger than four. Seriously, I'm only very slightly overweight and have to perch on the edge. On that account, I actually prefer take-out but wouldn't miss out on the sandwiches due to discomfort.

The Cheese Course is a great place to host parties! Celebrated husband's 40th birthday...the setup was beautiful ( think Tuscany meets the Upper East side), the food choices for the wine and cheese tasting were delicious ( two weeks later the guests are talking about it) and unlike most places the portions were BOUNTIFUL.
