When you arrive at C&W don't judge this place by its looks. First I check inspections on any restaurant as I did with this one. Very few violations, sometimes none! This is a takeout place with true southern cooking. I've tried almost everything and it is damn good. The best collards I've ever had, chicken and ribs are good. Nice smoke flavor but not overpowering. Large plates (enough for two) at very fair prices.

We went to breakfast with some friends at The Town House Restaurant BUT we had to bring them by to meet Miss Cora... As usual her place smells wonderful when you walk in the door. Her menu is very simple but the food is made with SO MUCH LOVE you can't help but leave with something. Well leave with something we did. Our friends left with two orders and so did we. Mama ordered the ribs and chicken with some greens and potato salad. I ordered the ribs and pulled pork with a double order of greens. I am going to TRY to save that for my dinner but the smell is overwhelming the house right now as it cools off to put in the fridge for later. The only reason I am not eating it now is because I am still stuffed from breakfast. I did however take a small nibble of everything just to make sure it was as good as the last time and IT WAS... When you stop by, just remember that they only accept CASH

It is always nice to see Cora and her food is delicious. Close to my work. Lots of history in that house.

Oh my GOSH! This place was my childhood! The best BBQ you are going to get is right here. I always recommend getting the chicken dinner with mac and cheese and beans. The woman who works there knows how to cook them to perfection. I recently came back to Oviedo for my best friend's wedding, and before leaving for his bachelor party, I had all the groomsmen come, to be able to enjoy the rest of the night. All of them came away raving about this spot. I hope that it will always be there when I come back to Oviedo. I don't eat pork so I have never had the pulled pork, but others have loved it. Thank you for being amazing.

C&W is a good southern restaurant. You have to get past the little house that it's run out of because it's very local and offers good food! The portion size is monstrous for the dinner and it comes with 2 sides: I chose Mac and cheese and collard greens. My husband got potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad was awesome! It has relish in it which gave it a sweet taste which was nice. The Mac and cheese was a little bland and the collard greens needy a little more spice to them. We did get a slice of sweet potato pic which was delicious! All in all I enjoyed it and the owner Miss Cora is adorable. Just remember it is cash only.

This is how BBQ should be. Great food, friendly service. The menu is limited but makes it easy to choose.

So today I sat outside by the Collard patch while I was enjoying the bounty from that very spot. Nestled under some giant trees a few picnic tables and some plastic drag up chairs. This is a casual as it gets. If your squeamish about all those pesky health rules and regulations this may not be your spot. BBQ ribs, a huge serving of collards and some potato salad. Plus a slice of apple pie. Is it KC Prime? No way. What it is ;a little slice of the past all too forgotten in todays obsession with everything chain restaurant craze. Slow down one lazy afternoon, gather the kids, sit under the trees, eat as much as you can with your fingers and wipe your mouth with the back of your hand. There are times when "unfine" dining is good for the soul.

My favorite little hole in the wall BBQ spot. It's nice to have an authentic spot in an area that is mostly comprised of chain barbecue restaurants. The food is always amazing and clearly made with a lot of love and soul. The food is inexpensive and the portions are huge! Try the pulled pork platter--extra bbq sauce of course.

I stopped in one day in 2009 just to see what it was all about. OMG on several levels. Back then Cora was churning out the delicious down home cooking but the place really needed some cleaning. Everything is cooked on an open pit fire and is just so damn good it's hard to believe that this little one room block house is a place you want to stop in. After the fire closed this place down for a year or so, she's back open, all cleaned up, and has fire suppression. While small things have changed due to code enforcement, Cora still puts out the same quality of home cooked goodness she always has. I have tried everything over the years and am partial to the pulled pork with her delicious sauce, homemade potato salad and greens (which she grows right outside the door!). A slide of sweet potato pie (which is 1/4 of a pie) is always included. I've never, ever, had better! The menu is quite limited, no inside seating and outside seating is on a couple of picnic tables so we always get our food to go. CASH only here and I always leave her a nice tip. You just can't beat this place for some great food to go.

First, the owner is amazing! She is so warm and wonderful that you want to love it. Second, it was reasonable. The outside seating was fine but there were a ton of flies everywhere but hey, it is outside in Florida-so not rating the ambiance. Now to the food, the menu is minimal. When we went, the potato salad had not been made yet, so we had mac&cheese and beans as sides. Mac&cheese, good but need a little seasoning. The beans tasted like they came from a can with a ton of brown sugar added. We could not eat the beans. We were sad that we could not try the potato salad. Now to the meat--my husband had pulled pork sandwich. Bread was just sliced bread with the meat on it. My husband said it was ok. I had the ribs. I enjoyed the sauce that was on them but they were not the best ribs I have had. The portions were very large. You won't leave hungry. It is not my favorite BBQ place--so far the BBQ truck on OBT in Mt. Dora is better and of course, 4 rivers is pretty spot on, too. This is all about the experience. Remember, this is authentic southern Florida and I think helping a small business is always good.

Delicious food at unbeatable prices. For the chicken dinner, you get two whole legs (that's two thighs and two drumsticks) with two sides for $6.50. I love her bbq sauce; tangy, tomato and vinegar based, not too sweet. Plus she is a sweetheart. Just remember to bring cash.

Stop in and try Cora's BBQ!!! Excellent! We had the pulled pork dinner with collard greens and baked beans! Her beans are sweet and delicious! This meat taste better than the pulled pork at 4 Rivers. This is true smoked bbq. The building is a very small white concrete block building with a couple of picnic tables outside. Don't be afraid!! Go in!! It's true to not read this book by its cover. The menu is small... ribs, pork, mac n' cheese, collards, potato salad, collards and bread. The sodas are in a can and are a generic brand, so if you need a cup of ice, you may need to bring your own... not sure on that one because I just drank the orange soda out of the can. The price for a dinner is $8.50, well worth the portion and flavor!! I will definitely be back! I hear from the local store near by that her ribs are the best! There was plenty of smoke flavor on the meat, so I'm not sure if it was lighter when Brad Y. was there. Either way, we both enjoyed the food!

Pleasantly surprised. A little light on the smoke, but you could still taste it. Good amount of fat on the ribs. Tasty sauce. Beans taste like apple pie. Wanted tater salad, but they were out.
