Our local Yelp-writing, World Cup-watching, beer-guzzling, USA-cheering team met up at The Brass Tap in Oldsmar this past week for the USA vs. Belgium match. Daniel W. had pre-reserved a table for us, so when I walked in the hostess showed me back to our 6-person high top located right next to the big screen TV and surrounded by a bunch of high definition flat-screens all tuned to the game. SCORE!!!!! This location of The Brass Tap can be found along Tampa Road, just north of the traffic light at St. Petersburg Drive, and before the 580 split. The beer pub is sandwiched in between a Moe's Southwestern Grill and a Flamestone Grill restaurant. The pub has a large, covered outdoor seating area for people who like to sit outside and sweat, as well as for those who feel the need to puff on burning tobacco while drinking, oh, and let's not forget the people who absolutely must bring their dogs with them. Yeah.... you folks can all go hang out on the patio. The remainder of us sat inside in air-conditioned comfort in a narrow, but long pub environment. The main bar has about 50 beer taps along the wall, as well as coolers for additional cans and bottles of beer, and wine. Sitting on each table is a newspaper-style printed listing of what's fresh and on tap that day. For those that don't know, Brass Tap is now serving food in their pubs, so there is also a menu listing the various appetizers, sliders, flat breads, and so on which are available for purchase. The main attraction is the beer, and each of us spent some time looking through the expansive listing of brands to find something to please our pallets. I selected a UFO Hefeweizen from Harpoon Brewery out of Boston. This tasty glass of refreshing yumminess is an American wheat beer, and it pours a cloudy, golden color with a dense, frothy head due to it being an unfiltered "yeasty" beer. We had a great time sampling beers and cheering for the USA soccer team amid chomping on sliders and flatbreads. Naturally we were shocked and disappointed with the ending of the soccer match, but the folks at The Brass Tap did a great job managing the crowd and refilling our orders. This seems to be a nice place to relax and enjoy a delicious craft brew while watching your favorite sporting event and decompressing after a long day of work. Brass Tap is worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood.

Quaint place with a good beer selection! We watched the College National Football Championship on their many televisions whilst a pleasant waitress gave excellent recommendations on local beers (the beers in italics on their fairly extensive draught list) and delivered them quickly and always with a smile. I wouldn't have guessed that I could get a wide range of good beers from a joint in a strip mall, but there you go!

Stopped by for a quick lunch here and it was really good. The restaurant was actually totally empty except for us so obviously the service was outstanding and super fast. Nice setup with the TVs and ample seating, and our waitress was super nice. I had the Peri Peri Chicken Panini which was perfectly spicy. If you like goat cheese and are looking for something on the menu that isn't super heavy, I totally recommend it. I'm not a huge beer person(sorry!) so I can't comment on that aspect, but the food is great for bar food. Will definitely be back.

Yay! I'm a fan. Stemming from Wesley Chapel, The Brass Tap now has 14 locations in Florida and Arizona, and it's no wonder why. More beers on tap than WOB, and now featuring food at newer locations. As it should be, the menu is small and effective. La Chica and I bellied up to the bar and saw many dishes come from the kitchen, all of which looked great. The most memorable being their "sliders," which were the size of most restaurant's normal burger; it was insane. As for the brews, like any tap house they're always changing, so what they have today, they may not tomorrow. What we witnessed was a great mix of local and out-of-state craft beers, as well as a great selection of imports, Weihenstephaner for one--the world's oldest brewery. Other great features, a good-sized patio for smokers of cigarettes and cigars. In fact, they feature cigar night where you can get 50% of the price of a pint with the purchase of a stogie. I liked what I saw, so I signed up for the Brew Crew, and plan to return often to claim my 300 point prize.

The brass Tap is a fun stop. Full of you guessed it....taps. Way to many choices for the casual beer drinker, you will need a brew Sherpa to find the magic beer, but don't worry the staff is excellent and will ask you what type of beers you like and make great suggestions. Expect to find a fun new beer you have never tried, and keep a open mind! The small pizzas are great bar food, and they have a bunch of bar games and entertainment to keep the night going!

Like the chili's of craft beer, typical craft choices, a moderate selection of brew style. The food was ok, very simple which was odd given the look of the menu. My husband didn't hate it, it's closer than dunedin but we think it would have been worth the drive. Two of the stars are for the bar tender - she had super red hair and was wonderfully nice.

Love this place. Hang out every Tuesday with coworkers. Sarah, Josh, Jack and Andrea are great.

They have UFO on tap. I've never seen that before! They have weekly specials that include cigar deals as well. There's a cigar friendly outdoor patio that's located just beyond huge glass garage doors routinely kept open. Comfy boorhs, touch tunes and strategically placed tvs claim the rest of the indoor space with a small nook for live music. I like!

Great for beer....food not so much...will only cook burgers to medium well (mine was well). Reminded me of over cooked meat loaf.....aka dry cardboard. Wife had pretzel pizza which she called less than memorable.... Son says chicken tacos we good....

AWFUL! We attended a wedding at the hotel behind the bar on Saturday night and made our way there with about 40 people to keep the party going and looking for an enjoyable time.. However we were refused service because we are Canadian and had Canadian passports as our form of ID. The bartender/manager insisted it is the state law in FL that you can only be served with an American issued ID..! Have never had this issue at any bar in the US.. Lived in Miami for 5 years and now live in NYC. The sad part is the bartender was so unreasonable and stubborn that our entire group of over 40 people left the bar... What a shame!

Facility is very nice plenty of TV's and both indoor and outdoor seating options. Cigar smoke not a plus for us but not overpowering enough to ruin our experience at the indoor bar. Food was surprisingly good, beer cheese dip was our favorite, and sandwiches with Mac n cheese side were good also. I'm not a draft or craft beer fan and I appreciated that they also had bottled beer available. Happy to have this establishment in Oldsmar!

It is what it is - a trendy bar featuring craft beers where eating is secondary. Now a national phenoma these ventures are in vogue. If that is your speed, go for it. Atmosphere 80 Fashionable setting for drinking brew Service 70 Our waitresss should have stuck to serving beer Food 75 Tastey, but it is a secondary effort Value 75 Rate is for eats only Sorry to bust the bubble, but in my book only selected craft beers can compete with the European (Belgium, Germany) beers. The rest are for people who follow the herd.

Went here on a Sunday night, it was a chill experience. I had the sangria and he had a beer. Very good tasty, clean and friendly environment. Not too loud, sport channels were on, but without sound. They have a digital jukebox which I will try next time. Had the pretzel cheese appetizer it was your standard pretzel a cheese. Do not order the chips and salsa, they were from a bag and were stale. They have a patio area which is nice when the weather is right. Really liked the place.

If you are into craft beers, this is the place to go around Oldsmar. The food was classic bar fare but that's not the reason you should go. 60+ beers on tap, many styles from many brewers is why you want to go, just don't try them all at once! They also have some bottled beers you won't find at most places and the place has a nice atmosphere.

Service was so uninviting , the guy behind the bar was so depressing. We are leaving because the service people are not friendly at all. The pretzels were great but steak nachos were not.

Excellent beer selection, but I always end up with Guinness. Soft pretzel bites with cheese dip was tasty. Nice layout with lots of TVs. The band was good too. I'm not a fan of cigar smoke but the wafts weren't too bad. Great place.

Sat down 2 other people at bar - took 15 min for bar tender to address me. Then he left to wash dishes before getting my drink order. This was my first visit but I think I'll stick with the Tampa location instead.

The pizza is unrivaled, especially the pepperoni and peppado pepper pizza. The draft beer selection is fantastic.

Attended the Brass Tap for the first time a few days ago. The food was amazing and the waitress made suggestions which was helpful for a first time visitor. Although I didn't partake in the alcohol I did notice they carried a rather large selection and ranges of specialty, craft beers! All in all wonderful business. Excellent service/staff, great food, clean/premium business setting, and all in all premium all across the board. Deff will be back
