When I'm in Tampa visiting my family, my uncle stops by here on the way over to mom's house and gets take-out because he lives over on that side of town. I'll be honest - I've had a tough time finding really good Asian cuisine in the Bay Area....not sure why there don't seem to be a lot of good places, or if they are, they seem to be hidden. This establishment serves standard Chinese takeout, but it's well made, the portions are generous, the prices aren't high, and the service is friendly. My standard order is the General Tso's Tofu and the Hot and Sour Soup, and the food has been consistently good every time. I highly recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite of Chinese food.

My husband and I usually go to a different Chinese restaurant down the road, but they were closed last night so we decided to try china king.... We walked in and ordered two general tso chicken and an order of Crab Rangoon to go...it was quick and we left with our food in less than 10 mins.. We got home and realized that they gave us sweet and sour chicken instead. We were bummed, but hungry so we ate it anyways. The taste was on the greasy side, but was good... However, It made me violently sick... I was up all night sick over their food. I will not be going back. Save your stomach the trouble and find a different place to eat.

Ordered large General Tso chicken. Asked for extra spicy, not spicy enough for my taste but better than most places do. Portion was big enough to feed myself and my wife. Egg rolls good, crab rangoon was excellent. Overall very good.

I am so glad we chose China King for our Valentine's dinner! This restaurant is a quick drive from our apartment and sits in a plaza with Dominic's and Luekens. Finding a parking spot was easy and in no time flat we got inside and placed our order to go. Our food was excellent! I finally found out tonight that you can substitute lo mein for fried rice in a dinner, so I went for the lo mein & fried dumplings. Christoph had the orange chicken & fried rice, which he gladly let me taste test. That orange chicken was a 5/5 for me. We also ordered a Pu Pu platter for two. It was supposed to round out our meal and also serve as leftovers for the next day. Yeah...That didn't happen. We annihilated it! My favorite item of the bunch was the beef skewer. I could've eaten 5 of those, though I might've had to have my husband roll me through the door. This is Americanized Chinese comfort food at its best, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Good luck finding great Chinese food in the Oldsmar/Palm Harbor area. China King is another Chinese takee Outee place that is below average but will do the job of your hungry. Egg Rolls are eh, the Generals chicken isn't spicy enough.....even when you ask for spicy, and the fried rice really needs some seasoning badly.... I'll probably grab to go from here again, because it's close to the house and the area doesn't have a better alternative....damn we need a good Chinese place in this area!

This place is really good and fast. While you're waiting for your "to go" order you can pop next door and grab your adult beverages.

My husband and I were in the mood for chinese and found some good reviews for China King and they deliver. I placed an order for wonton soup and hot & sour soup also 2 combos, bourbon Chicken and Hunan Chicken. The total was $20.00 plus $2.00 deliver fee. Delivery was fast, food was very hot and good. We both agree we will order from there again. Vegetables were fresh, chicken was white meat, large portions, and flavorful.

General Tso's and Garlic Chicken were both great. The delivery was prompt and staff very friendly, this was a good choice for Saturday night delivery.

I got here often for Shrimp and Broccoli. The veggies are always fresh, the Shrimp is REAL white shrimp, not some pink farmed crap. This is a GREAT restaurant ran by a lovely family that serves good, fresh food. I will continue to bring my business to China King, much better than any others in the area.

We had Mu shu pork and it was very good as was the chicken with mushrooms. I recommend this place for very good chinese food. The mushrooms and green beans in the chicken dish were fresh.

Is there something going on in the area with the Chinese take out restaurants? Something has happened with the quality. We are looking for a new place to be our place for Chinese. Well this one is NOT it. My hubby ordered (as always) chicken and broccoli in brown sauce, make it spicy. I order something different every time. This time I wanted savory with a little spice. I asked for the Garlic Chicken. I must say the order was piping hot even when we got home. However, my garlic chicken tasted like it had been sitting in vinegar and it had no garlic. The vegetable were fresh and the chicken tender but the sauce was not palatable. I called the store. They said it was a popular dish and it is suppose to taste like vinegar. Methinks not! I threw it out. BTW, the chicken and broccoli was okay. There are more restaurants to try.

My favorite for Chinese take-out. This is basically a take-out only. They have a couple tables, but nobody really eats here. Call ahead and your order is ready in 15-20 minutes. The portions are large, the service is quick, and the food is tasty -- what more could you ask for? I recommend the combinations--you get one entree, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. The orange chicken and cashew chicken are family favorites.

It has been mostly misses when trying to find good Chinese food in the area. I was over at Luekens Liquors for a beer run and noticed China King. The portions are big, the prices are great and the food is awesome. Usually we get Sweet N' Sour Chicken, General Tso's Chicken or something along those lines. Even when they are in the middle of a friday night rush the food never takes more then 15-20minutes. This is more a take out place though.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
