Glad this location finally has something exciting in it but the atmosphere(outside seating) is best thing it has going for it, once that wears off I think we will all ask if we're getting our monies worth, simple answer is no, it's too overpriced.

I ordered the macadamia and coconut mahi mahi and my mother ordered the shrimp fettuccini alfredo. The service was slow. I understand it's a new restaurant so it was expected. The meal was very good but I think it was overpriced for the amount of food that you get.

Had a great time and excellent food! Loved the coconut chicken tenders and shrimp! The wedge salad is awesome! Really like the blue cheese dressing! Great job! Service was fast too!!

Nice outdoor patio with several televisions Extremely friendly hostess. Food was good served piping hot, burger was a little over cooked but not enough to send back.

Bathrooms impeccable, service by Becca was efficient, beer cold in frosty glass, smoked fish appetizer was fresh and excellent, my burger and fries were cooked to perfection and the fish tacos were to die for. Place is newly opened and if they keep this up should be a town winner!

I'll probably get flamed for this post. But the food I've received at the business was average. Not bad but nothing to rave about. I did have a complaint however, in that the mixed vegetables I ordered were most definitely canned. I've eaten enough canned veggies to know that if they didn't use canned veggies they certainly tried their best at making the produce in question have a canned - like texture and flavor.

I went with a coworker to lunch and when we walked in we were told by a waitress walking by someone will be right with you. Then another waitress walked by and told us someone will be right with you. A couple minutes later another waitress told us someone will be right with us. Finally after about 5 minutes standing there a hostess came and Sat us. when we sat down it took another five minutes for a waitress to come and take our drink order. Since we're on our lunch break and had almost been ten minutes already we placed our order for lunch at the same time. We got the chicken fingers and the coconut shrimp lunch platters. that was the last time we saw our waitress. 35 minutes passed by since we placed our order. I had to flag a separate waitress down and tell her we need to get our food to go and our bill because we were going to be late going back to work. The hostess is the one who ended up bringing our food in a bag with the bill. talk about horrible service I will never go back there again because I had two minutes to eat my lunch in the break room at my job. There wasn't even any apologies or no one came by to check on us and let us know the food was going to be a little bit longer. Nothing at all. The good was average.

Nice atmosphere, affordable, pleasant staff. A welcome addition to Okeechobee's restaurant choices. Having a full bar is a plus. Try the fish dip, I really liked it. Kids will love this place as well.

Tried this place twice this week, the fish is good and delivered quickly. One problem that should be corrected by the management before I would recommend this place is to train or re-train the wait staff. Our server on 28 Feb (6:46 pm) offered us one free ordering option to get only one side, instead of two sides with our entrees, and then charged each of us $2.99 extra for accepting her offer of a substitute side salad instead of the second side dish. She insisted she did not say what both of us clearly heard her say! Re-training the wait staff is recommended.

It was with hesitation that my husband & I decided to eat here. We had eaten at Applebee's for the previous 3 nights & wanted something different. I am so glad we made the stop! Our waitress was so polite & provided great service. I had chicken tacos & my husband ate a burger with mushrooms. They were both great. I think my favorite was the black beans & rice that was served with the chicken tacos. They were delicious! The restaurant has anything from burgers to seafood. Top it off with key lime pie! It was great too!

Nice decor... But you can't eat the decor. Food was below average. I had the Maui fish tacos and I wouldn't even call it average. The service was really good but once again, when u go out to eat, you want a decent dish. Sister ordered mussels and she ended up getting sick. If your just looking for a burger and a place to hang out and drink.... The bar area is pretty nice.... Just don't expect decent food.

I really like that Parrot Island has sushi once a week, but it is medicore. It needs some improvement, or a cheaper price. Season your rice and use real ginger at least!!

I'm told the food is better these days however I refuse to eat there again. I received terrible service and food with hairs on my plate not once but twice. Take your chances if you dare.

Kinda trendy, seems a good locals waterhole but we went to eat. Fish tacos yummy, chicken fingers home made. Good value

Oh my gosh, where to begin? Drawn in by the fun and cute exterior but will come back for the fantastic food and service! Started with Rum Runners -- a taste of the tropics! I ordered the chicken tacos and they were gourmet. My husband ordered the coconut chicken tenders, which were juicy and delicious. Hush puppies were great too. Finished the meal with the Key Lime Pie...and it did NOT disappoint. Wow, fresh and authentic! Two thumbs up for Parrot Island Grill! We'll be back!
