From the horrible service, no real communication when we didn't get our entire order, to the horrible sauce this isn't REAL New York Pizza!! I am a native New Yorker and this pizza is not even close! Beef O'Brady's has better New York Pizza than this place. To top it off no one apologized for getting our pizza wrong. They even asked my husband if his wife would be pissed off if they didn't have our entire order. Ya think???!!!

I'm from New York, I know pizza and I admit I'm a bit of a pizza snob. I'm sorry. We stopped here simply due to the name and were astonished we found the #1 New York Pizza!!!!!!! Say what? On the back road of some Podunk Florida road we found the best NY pizza. I was skeptical but open to try it cause I enjoy pizza and trying other people attempts at NY style. Went inside to find a nice clean pizza place. Impressed that the pizza looked great sitting behind the glass on the counter. Ordered 2 slices and waited patiently. Pizza came out and I was actually impressed and ready to try it. First bite was just ok. Good amount of cheese, crust looked pretty good and the size was nice. After the first bite, it was evident that the sauce is not a big priority down here to this pizza joint. It was bland and tasteless. It seemed like the lack of good pizza sauce was more covered up by cheese. I added some spices and tried to fix it up, but good pizza needs some good sauce and STOP OVERDOING THE CHEESE. Moderate cheese with good sauce. Cmon people. I'd try this place again and just be sure to say easy on the cheese and add a little more sauce.

I usually only write a review when I'm dissatisfied, but just want to take a few moments to give Orlando and his staff a big thumbs up. Never have I been disappointed with the food or the service. You guys are the best and so is your food. Fresh and tasty!

This is EXCELLENT New York style pizza!!! I don't care what anyone says, this is the best pizza in not just this county, but a handful of counties!!! I've seen reviews from people who are (allegedly) from Brooklyn and (allegedly) work in the "inner city" of Ocala criticizing this pizza place, and I find them curious at best and very suspect when I'm realistic. A. They work in the 'inner city" of Ocala which doesn't exist. Yeah, this is a real rough town!!! Lol B. They are supposedly from the Big Apple but are apparently delicate enough to be frightened in the 'burbs of Marion Oaks!!! Really? I grew up in cocaine cowboy Miami in the 80's!! Please!!! And C. The big clue : They usually write that they prefer Sammy's, and then have the cojones to criticize the customer service!!! HA!!! I should have known when they misspelled "Awwww". Lol Orlando is one of THE sweetest people (that I am not associated in any way with except as a customer) of all the places we get take put from!!! The food AND the service beats Sammy's any day of the week!!!!!

Best pizza in Ocala. I am from Brooklyn and with this place so close I don't feel like I am missing anything. They also serve Gino's Italian ice which reminds me of home.

They have great pizza but awful customer service with delivery. Wait times are never accurate, and the person who answers the phone is rude!

Awhhhhh, I love it when places claim to have real NY pizza. Have any of these folks ever even been to NY? lol---No way is this place a four or five star NY pizza place. Now do not get me wrong, it is not the worse pizza I have ever had. (even though the crust was burnt on my slice which is a big "No, No" for me) However, this is nowhere near four or five stars. It is good for NY style I suppose with that extra greesy, oily cheese on top but the crust is bland and the sauce is just average. Sammy's and Pavarotti's are way better. I find it interesting that the real NY places run by Italian families have less stars. Perhaps Floridians like other types of pizza? I do not know and am at a loss here. On the visit I also bought an order of Garlic Knots and they were not great at all. Another thing to note is the location. I dropped my initial three star review to two stars for that. I was warned this is a bad neighborhood. I was literally pretty paranoid walking from my car to the shop. I find this interesting since I do not scare easily. I had to think on that for sure since I live and work in the inner city. On the walk from my car rental to the door of the Pizzeria I was approached by four homeless guys and a shady drug dealer guy who tried to sell me a laptop. (WTH????) The restaurant itself is small and was kind of dingy and dirty upon my visit. What really bothered me though was how unfriendly the staff members were here. If I was on the fence before, the rude staff pushed me over. Customer service counts. I would never go back. Sorry, I love Sammy's and will stick to them especially since the atmosphere is so much nicer.

This area is lucky to have #1 New York Pizza. I enjoyed carry-out dinner and dine-in lunch the next say. Even the eggplant Parmesan to-go was good and that's saying something. The Stromboli with a side of sauce for lunch was so good, I threw in a slice with sausage. I wish we had a place like this at home where I live.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
