We had an excellent meal. There are options for everyone, and the service was great too.
I wasn't very impressed with the three dishes I tried. The place was nice though and the service was good.
Friendly staff, wasn't impressed with the food though. I wish they had more vegan options and their fish wasn't season but the Mac n Cheese is to die for!

Excellent service! A lot of different flavors to choose from. All of the flavors that we tried were excellent! They were not snooty about trying several flavors! We eat ice cream almost every night that we're on vacation and we can't wait to come back here again! This is the only place I have been to that has half scoops - that way you can try more flavors!
Very yummy. I liked both the ice cream and the sorbet. I didn't try the gelato. Love how you can do more than one kind even in a small. I would take this place over kilwins, which is too sweet in my opinion, any day! Also the girls were super sweet. Hope to be back.
My mother and I visited on our way to the beach. I got the cappuccino ice cream and my mother got the white chocolate sorbet and we both loved ours. I would definitely recommend stopping by!

Two breakfasts this Sunday morning. Very generous proportions and very well presented. Delicious. The menu has a wide variety of different offerings for breakfast(sorry, no scrapple for those of you from the NE) and lunches. Everything looks and sounds great. Alsina is gracious and accommodating (unfortunately no Sriracha yet for those in need of some hot additions, but maybe soon?). We'll be back to check the other breakfast offerings and the lunch menu.
We passed a ton of chain restaurants searching for a breakfast place. We found Joseph's in a nondescript strip mall. We hesitated long enough to read yelp reviews and liked what we saw. While the physical store itself is slightly dated it is immaculately clean. Great first impression. We were greeted/seated immediately. Breakfast menu had a good variety of choices inc very delicious homemade corn beef hash. Ditto for home fries. No Sysco food here. Just down home good cooking. Highly recommend. Who doesn't deserve a great breakfast!?!
Joseph's Diner and Pizza Restaurant is a unique place, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner...and they do them all well. We had breakfast there with a group of five friends and everyone raved about the meal. We have had lunch (my husband highly recommends the home made soups) and dinner in the past. We even brought my family one night to share with them this little treasure. The ambiance is a little lacking but the food and staff more than make up for that. Today I had the french toast and others had vegetable skillet breakfast (huge) and omelets and the like. The recurring comment was that everything tasted so fresh and flavorful! We have had some of the dinners. I tried the shrimp Alfredo (heavenly) and my husband has had both the chicken and eggplant parms...both were great. My sister and her husband had the pizza that they thoroughly enjoyed. Based on the number of pies flying out the door, the locals have found Joseph's for pizza. They are open on Sunday until 2:00 but are open the rest of the week.

Me and my wife moved from las vegas three years ago. We decided to try this place for lunch. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant is small yet cozy. The food is seriously the best we have had since moving here. We had almost given up on trying new restaurants in the area because the food is sub par but this place was fantastic. A must if you are in the area!!!
Great friendly service and curries were outstanding. Egg rolls were cold in middle - get something else. We would def come back!!'n
5 stars for food. 3 for ambience. 5 for service and friendliness. Diverse menu, something for everyone. Every first timer is so pleasantly surprised. Especially if you're looking for a Chinese food replacement.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I did not actually eat here. I walked in and was immediately turned off. We were asked to wait for a table even though 2 were available (the five minutes of wait time gave me time to look around and realize that, at least for me, this place just wasn't right). It smelled stale, it had very low and claustrophobic ceilings, the decor was circa 1952, the service looked very slow and over the top syrupy, and finally no offense, but the average clientele age looked to be about 78 years old. Like I said I didn't eat here and this place could be great if you enjoy that type of setting, but I ended up walking out.
This is a great place for breakfast. My husband and I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. There stuffed French toast is absolutely delicious and a very large portion. Coffee is very good and all the servers are very friendly. They also have outdoor eating which is a plus for us.
Great breakfast, delicious eggs benedict. Friendly. Good service. Indoor and outdoor seating accommodations. Cute, bright interior decor

Hidden gem. New York style (and quality) Italian food in Florida. Modest decor, but come for the food; you won't regret it!
The lasagna with meat sauce was excellent, highly recommend. The calamari was a little disappointing but, the dinner portions are huge. Come hungry and ready to eat.
A 3 is generous. We vacation in this area every year (for the last 12 years). If you are looking for cleanliness or good service, do not eat here. This visit, the server actually said, "don't suck those (drinks) down, I don't have time for refills." She did however give us refills, so you have to take the roughness with a grain of salt. My husband loves their hot Italian sandwich, so this is must stop for him every trip. I have tried a variety of pastas over the years. I would recommend sticking to the pizza and sandwiches.

Right on the water/intercoastal. Great if you have a boat to come tie up & have lunch. Most of the seating is right on the water or right next to the water. Indoor seating, the walls open up which is nice if you want to feel like you're outside without actually being outside. Very casual, good number of people looked like they came right off the beach and just put a tank top over their suits. Napkin dispenser in the middle of the table. Plastic pitchers w/plastic cups - great beach bar atmosphere. There is a very cool outdoor bar (sandy floor/tiki hut feel w/TVs mounted to watch the game, etc). Looks like a FUN place to watch the Bruins beat the Lightening with the exception that there looks to be a large smoking crowd. (which is one of the reasons we opted for indoor seating) Service - Good - Very friendly, but a bit slow. Draft beer selection - fair - They've got Yuengling which saved them. But the standard, bud/bud light, etc. w/ Sierra Nevada. Food - Pretty good - Surprisingly good selection - fried, grilled fish, raw bar, sandwiches. I had the conch fritters & Black Jack burger. The conch fritters were ok. A little breadier (if that's a word) than I like & they served them with a spicy mayo side sauce rather than cocktail sauce, but that was tasty. I liked my burger. Cooked perfectly & I loved the soft/fresh bread. The fries were great too - not greasy & lightly seasoned. I'd come back here again.
Great cold seafood plate, great shrimp poor boy.
a nice place to eat drink and be merry. fresh seafood and great drinks! gets a bit crowded but well worth the wait. request to be seated by the river.

Let me start with the service here. I was made to feel like family that had just returned home after being gone for an extended period of time. This is the first time I've seen grouper cheeks offered and these cheeky little morsels do not disappoint! You can have cooked in various ways, I chose blackened and it was nicely spiced, milder than what you normally expect. If you chose fried, the batter if light so as not to overpower the flavor of the main ingredient whether that be fish or the delightful zucchini fries. The hush puppies were the right combination of density and delicate crisped crust. Do not pass up on the cole slaw, you'll thank me for this tip once you taste it. Basically what you have is good food made simply in a way that preserves and compliments the flavors of the main ingredient. With some trepidation we allowed ourselves to be talked into key lime pie for dessert. If you are a Floridian you understand the struggle if not trust us we know. This is real key lime pie as it should be! It has not been basterdized as it so often and unfortunately is by many transplants. Get the pie and savor every bite! And if you like to dine with your canine companion they are welcome in the generous outdoor dining space.
First of all the locals know where to go! Since it is the end of stone crab season time to stop in. Very typical florida outdoor dining. You chill out at an outdoor table and are thankful for a breeze. The ambience is relaxed The beer in a bottle is cold No frills here Just good food and good service Rock shrimp is sweet and the fried okra is yummy The cucumber salad is a great refresher to the meal. Can't say enough that I will be back
The food is good the wait is short and it beats similar joints in the area because of this... If you want seafood but not the wait then go here. Food is 3 stars, but the lack of wait time and friendly staff make it a 4 star joint. I can't over look the fact that this food is at best 3. My parents love this place....blue hairs

Worst place I have been to. Told it would be a 10 minute wait for a table so we waited at the bar. Aftre 15 minutes we see other people getting seated and were told they forgot about us. We finally sat down and ordered. Waited 10 minutes then the waitress said she forgot to put the order in. We got up and left.
This restaurant is outstanding. We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night and were seated straight away, I suppose because it was in September, which is considered the off season. While we've been to Venice several times, we had never really seen this restaurant as it is tucked away on the right hand side of a small shopping center. It looked interesting from the front because of the awnings and landscaping. Our server was very prompt and helpful. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan and seafood ziti. Both came with a very nice salad with homemade dressing. The main courses were absolutely perfect. The sauces were made from scratch, and the portions were very generous. The rolls were excellent, especially with the sweet cream butter. We also split a piece of key lime pie, which was also perfect. I noted a couple of reviews mentioned the service. Our server had worked there six years, and had cooked at a similar restaurant before that. She said most of the recipes came from Grandma Ophelia. I sensed that the restaurant has a large local following, which is a good sign. We highly recommend Ophelia's for dinner, and intend to try it for breakfast on our next trip to the area.
It's been years since I've been to Ophelia's. Back then, it was something special. Today, it has declined. The restaurant "curb appeal" is less than zero. The exterior of the restaurant is cluttered with signage, posters, banners. The interior entry isn't any better. Diners are welcomed by a filthy floor and a table loaded with area business cards. We were there for lunch. I ordered a chicken pesto panini. The chicken was some sort of frozen sliver of chicken breast and it was served without pesto. It took about 15 minutes before the waiter reappeared so that I could ask for pesto. He was happy to oblige. The kindness of staff raised my rating. If the place de-clutters and goes through a thorough cleaning, I may return. I honestly hope the owners take this criticism as constructive and make some improvements.

The food was good - the seafood was fresh and well prepared. The seafood chowder was some of the best we have tasted. Three of our party had the grouper sandwich prepared three different ways - blackened, broiled, and deep fried. All three preparations were tasty. I had the fried platter - you could tell that the items were breaded when ordered and not "pre-made". The prices were pretty typical of the area - $12 for a grouper sandwich. The food was good; the wait staff attentive; I would go back. My only complaint would be that the outdoor seating area is EXTREMELY small and VERY close to the bridge. BUT - you are still outside and on the water.
This where the party got started!!! But we sat in outdoor seating for 10 mins waiting to be noticed before i finally walked over and stopped a waitress to ask her to light our candle in our very dark corner. After that we waited another 10 and still no one came so we moved indoors. After that everything improved but couldn't hear the live band. The food was good but could have been better. Selection was better than its competition (we were told by another customer). Service-goodish. (My daughters enjoyed walking outside onto the pier to watch people fishing and at night the lights were shining so that you can see fish in the water.)
Hard to miss with a boat dock five feet from your tables. We go here by boat and have a delicious lunch. Try the seafood casserole, it's great. Lots of history can be viewed on the walls from the past.
